Just got a fresh Windows 10 install up and running on a 10 year old laptop within an hour. I'm quite impressed since I thought it's going to be a torture.

I love the simplicity of jQuery and Angular 1.0 - you just include the JS files and off you go. No additional dependencies or messing around.

Recent rant about hipster styled mobile-first websites which actually look awful on a desktop PC reminded me of this. How is this a good UX if I have to zoom out your page every single time? C'mon, I am not blind ffs!

Is there somewhere an overview article/guide on the most popular software associated with web development? There are just so many technologies I know nothing about - Gulp, Grunt, Docker, Webpack, Bower and who knows what else..

Everyone seems to be using something else and it's just total chaos for me.

Just spent 30 mins vertically centering a damn image in a two-column Bootstrap row. Yeah, flexbox is great unless you want to stack the columns at mobile screen size like they do with Bootstrap normally. Then everything breaks and the original ugly hack just gets replaced by a slightly lesser evil.

I really hope that we sort this out somehow before colonising Mars.
