Built my first mechanical keyboard over the last few days...
Had to desolder every switch and LED after I fucked up the directions. I wasn’t even mad because what the hell else am I gonna do during this quarantine?
Now I’m trying to learn QMK to get the RGB strip programmed and working and to figure out why the caps lock turns on the LED on LCTRL8 -
How many of you use QMK? I'm thinking of a docker-based bootstrap project for it. The benefits of the project are that you don't have to fork the qmk_firmware repo and install the dependencies; this results in a 1-click compile on any OS, and a very clean repo for other to look at and fork.

When you lost almost three hours to get an unsupported version of the qmk firmware (for mechanical keyboards) compiled, but got chickened out of installing it for fear it would break the only keyboard you have ($100+ and a bitch to get shipped in the country)
