Does anyone else think the top menu bar on applications is way too big on ubuntu 18.04? Also, am I the only one who has a lot of ransom freezes in the os? I know its a beta version, but c'mon!

Looks like Steam is launching a beta of a modified version of Wine, so windows games can be played on Linux too.

I'm seriously considering going back to Ubuntu now.

And if it sucks, switching to Manjaro. It freezes on me once, and I'm done. I've been using the beta and it's been AWFUL (I know it was a beta, but I wanna use my computer w/o random freezes)

Holy shit! Samsung is literally on fire these days... Firstly, they release the Linux on Dex beta with Ubuntu support and now they announced the new UI for their next phones which is fucking amazing in my opinion.

After using Ubuntu 17.04 on my PC , my Nexus 5x running Android O feels much stable..

Some time ago I shared a story about negotiating a raise. After that I talked with boss a bit longer and he gave me a new assignment which is not really dev-related. His logic was that I know Java so I should be able to do this since system I'm going to work with is written in Java. Yeah, right.
I have to configure document-flow system, eDok, for our client. I have absolutely no idea about all this document processing and such, but oh well. It's his money.
To do so, my boss bought an serwer with Ubuntu and our client has installed it. I finished a beta version of my last project and today had to start working on this eDok shit. I tried to log in, but nothing was working. From the logs it looks like HDD has failed.
Well, at least it has happened now and not after I've configured everything 😅
