Me: No hang on a second, it is 110% not possible for this to happen. Something else is going on that you think is a notification.

Mam: You know when you are on, and you see a message like "12 new notifications"

Me: on? on what? this is happening on your phone is it? Can I see?

Mam: No its on my laptop at home.

Me: ... you have an old laptop with an old windows, you can't get notifications on it.

Mam: OH FOR GOD SAKE! ... you know when you are in your emails and it says "12 new notifications"?

Me: ... right so we are talking about EMAILS about unread notifications and not getting notifications on your phone. So you have an old account then that you don't use?

Mam: Yeah I don't know the password to it, haven't logged in, in years.

Mam: Right anyway. When I get one and click on it, lets say its about you, can you see me reading your notifications?

Me: ..... you can't not read my notifications.

Mam: uh, can you see me reading your emails then smart arse?

Me: ... can't do that either.

Mam: Right, can you tell when I've read your POST then?!?!?!

So a couple weeks ago I earned a stress ball (300+ ++'s) I sent an email about it but never got a reply, so I decided to just forget about it. But then I just ranted (lastnight) about how its so hard to get a stressball. So I basically just said "fuck it i'll buy one". Then some dude comes along and is like "omg not until he shows us the bought one" so I'm like CHALLENGE ACCEPTED and buy one...

Then I get an email confirmation from devrant store confirming my order for the bought stressball. And I notive that my spam folder has unread messages in it. i look inside the spam folder and what do I see?...

I see dfox replying to my free stressball request weeks ago lol. So yay, now I gets the 3 balls (or two - depending) lol omg, so many balls.

Cleaned up my email and deleted 45k emails and unsubscribed from ~80+ services and added ~100+ filters to sort and auto-delete new emails. Now I have no unread messages.

Yep. So the dev teams boss says it's fine to run a production environment on a single Windows instance with the db on that same instance, which they already totally lost once from a reboot after an auto update before I came along tasked with fixing the cluster fuck they created.

This from a man who somehow runs a dev team while using gmail via the web because he can't use an email client, uses email to track tasks but can't because they get lost amongst his 3000+ unread emails, has a screen dirtier than a hookers vag on half priced Tuesday, and got a new laptop but had to get his daughter to set it up and transfer his data because he couldn't.

I have a problem.
I can't let an email, message or notification unread ! I must clear them all so I don't see any notification.
Shit this is serious, I feel uncomfortable if there is a notification !

Is Yahoo mail client app (ios) showing me one unread email just to lure me into opening the app and clicking on the single email which is actually an ad?

When you spend so much time at an event you start to get anxiety near the end of it because you have no idea how many unread emails you have waiting for you.

TryShift.com - I got this app hoping to consolidate my gmail accounts into a single place. I've been using it for months (maybe a year now) and I just can't see why anymore lol.

1) It logs me out every week or so and dashlane can't autofill my password from within the app so I have to go copy-paste it.
2) The app is basically just a browser
3) There are bugs and one of them just started with the only feature worth using the app for (unread email count in the mac osx dock)
4) The app blocks my macbook from restarting
5) The app won't update when I click "Update & Restart". I have to quit it manually and often it still won't update when I open it again.

UGH! Just uninstalled, opened both my gmail accounts in chrome, and sighed from relief.

It's weird.

I opened an old unread email from apple. It was having some text with photographs of two people (i think who were in my contact on store while purchasing macbook) and more detail...

I by mistake refreshed the page and now I can see only the bill as attachment. How the previous information has gone?
