I was just traveling by train to work, when a group of students joined the carriage.
I opened my laptop to do some work in terminal. After one minute, the guy next to me said to his friends: "oh this guy next to me is hacking!"

Fuck. I really hate it when someone has a domain I'd like to have, and doesn't do shit with it. Come on! A webpage that says "Live soon"?!
It's like having a subscription to the gym and never go to the gym. Total waste of money and opportunity for someone else to use the domain, just for the sake of "There is the slightest possibility that I maybe want to do something with this domain in the future".
Fuck this shit.3 -
Hey all, I'm curious for your opinion on this one. I've got some smart home devices (e.g. Hue lights, Nest Protect) and lately I started to think of the best way to protect them. Now I did see this project on Kickstarter (https://kickstarter.com/projects/...) and it seems to be a nice and easy way. But still, you don't know what they'll do with your data.
Would MAC address filtering in my router / modem not suffice for protection?
Let me know what you think :)5 -
I mostly work in Java as a backend developer, but lately I started a frontend side project in Angular. Man, Typescript and SASS are awesome! Totally love it :)2
