Studying is frustrating.
I'm in school for IT Engineering and my country decided, that universities have to be in half contact and half non-contact classes, so I have to attend bi-weekly. The other week I'm supposed to join online classes, where the whiteboard is recorded with a 2009 laptop's webcam and the audio is also internal, if even the freaking teacher manages to not forget to start the teams meeting.

I've bought my new laptop (vostro 5471 with ips, 8250u, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd) and it came with ubuntu.
I was keen to give linux a shot but I just got frustrated and installed windows. Now I feel dirty on the inside. Any tips to get comfortable with linux? Distro recommendations are also welcome.

Human Resources Ministry: Releasing hospital infection numbers would cause panic
The good old negligence in the Hungarian healthcare system (infections occur because of human negligence).
It is only an article title, but inside it says that the Human Resources Ministry is delaying releasing the statistics for infections in Hospitals.
They had a lawsuit against them, but appealed it with "the statistics could be identified as personal data" which is bullshit, because these are summed statistics.
TLDR: Hungarian government is hiding hospital infection statistics from citizens with bullshit arguments

If you have tried vscode in the past, and disliked it give it another try. I gave it an hour of my time to set it up again and it is awesome. I've preferred sublime in the past, but they've improved so much, it's really nice.

Rant about the Hungarian corruption.
Today I was on a driving test with two others, I was the last one.
They just flat out told us that two of us will pass, the first two who bribe them(the driving instructor and the inspector)
I was the last in line, and both paid before me so I failed my driving test automatically and I have to retake it(because if all three pass, than attention is brought onto the corruption), and even have to pay the fee to be able to retake the exam, and now I will have to bribe them too, so I can pass.
This pisses me off so much, I wish I had alexdelarge as my personal rant writer so he could express my pure anger and hatred.

If you are subscribed to someone and get the notification of their new rant and if you visit the rant through the feed, not through the notification than the notification will stay until you click on it and realise that you've already seen this.

Fuck motherfucking android 8 fucking sideways. And Huawei for that matter too.
My battery drains like 30% faster since the update from 7.0, with even more app limiting than in 7. I've already ranted about UI stuff, but that is negligible compared to this bullshit.
Also, auto brightness is broken and it keeps blinding me fora few seconds in the dark, and choosing way too much brightness.
I've loved my otherworldly battery life, now I feel like an apple user with 4k mah.
I used to get one and a half day battery, now I barely get through the day.

Fuck Android Oreo and everyone who thought that the following ideas are useful:
- xy app is running in the background notification, which can't be disabled
- xy app is overlaying other apps, click here if you wish to disable it. But you can't disable the notification, you can only disable the app.
- the un-zeroable data limit. It can't be disabled, you can only set it to a retarded high number to avoid annoying notifications

So apparently windowses "mirror drive" functionality is garbage. It is supposed to work like raid 1 and write data to two partitions simultaneously, but instead it randomly selects a drive and then proceeds to copy over the whole more recent drive image onto the older one daily at 3 am, thus writing a terrabyte of data to one of my drives daily. Thanks Microsoft!
