New Gmail icon is ugly yuck

@frogstair They don't if they are grouped together which is the case in the common browsers and mobile launchers like mine. 'Utility' takes priority - Isn't that why those apps are there in the first place? I appreciate how they want to Googlise the icons but it is not helping.

I guess they don't want apps to resemble their related real-world objects anymore 😕

I had so much trouble finding the apps on the first 1-2 days.

@Lexter As one of the leading organisations with a worldly impact, they have a huge responsibility, and it is okay for us to criticise when we have to. Organisations are nothing without customers, and customers can always voice up upon inconvenience. I don't hate Google. I like Google's products.

It's getting more difficult to detect the gmail tab with this design....

I find them useful; we have all our stuff on Google now. Makes collaboration easy. Also icons have names under them. Hey, work is not aesthetics!

A letter with a flap that looks like an M which is a clever representation of both mail and the letter M?

NOPE. Give me a fucking letter M with the color of a children's plastic toy and get rid of the envelope theme. That'll make more sense.
