    What is Canva?

The closest i get to PS is Krita and even then i don't personally use it, because I'm happy with GIMP.

I don't know Canva, but from looking at it it's not really competition for Photoshop. Maybe for InDesign? but closest you can get to rival photoshop is Krita. And if you don't mind ads then PhotoPea

I think a newbie is trying to farm upvotes in this shitty forum

@Hazarth Canva is a web based, simple drag and drop image editor. It has a lot of cliparts and templates; but none of Photoshop's even most basic filter or image adjustment. It was never meant to be PS competitor.

Looking at the design software alternatives:

My opinion? I’d drop Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and go with Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. No monthly or annual fee bullshit, reasonably priced (although their store model is a bit much…).

It also looks like the octopus of the design world known as Adobe hasn’t leeched the life out Figma into some broken Adobe XD Online… yet, so you could probably get varied mileage out of that for free for high fidelity site mocking type workflows.

Also, for icons: The Noun Project. Still is pretty decent, where you do have to pay it’s reasonable. Solid icon repository.

I've literally never used a single one of those and I'm okay with that.

    @cprn same here,

except DaVinci Resolve, which is actually pretty good.

But at some point i even stopped using that and switched to Compositing and Video Editing with the Blender Video Editor.
Runs more stable, uses Node Based FX Worklow, almost like Nuke (or NATRON), and basically never crashed on me.

Π‘rita is more like Photoshop and free as well

Are we comparing a freemium web app like Canva to Photoshop? In what parallel reality does that make the slightest sense??

The closest free alternative is GIMP and even that lags 10 years behind.

Either way I don't care that much about it being free. Free software can become paid a year from now.

    FOSS is where it's at.

@AvatarOfKaine Nope, just more rants from political nutcases

Quora isn't useful anymore at all.
Canva is good for Designing digital content, Photoshop's scope is larger.
