So on a sign up website for a programming competition they ask you to choose your screen size to fit the webpage....
Oh the irony1 -
This is for all those people that like dark themes and when asked why you say it's because light attracts bugs.
I would like to explain how that is just so wrong. Bugs attracted to light are moths and a few other flying bugs.
The rest of the bugs live and thrive in darkeness. Cockroaches, bedbugs, spiders etc.
In fact mosquitoes hunt at night and prefer to hunt in the dark.
I just had to put this out there.5 -
Just been to a hackathon and made a react native app with lots of shenanigans without having used js before. Feels good :)2

Do any of you guys know an android app which sets a "fake" location and goes along a path (and does not contain ads if possible)? Currently have a GPS based project I need to test
Thanks bros5 -
Dear fish (shell for anyone who doesn't know) ,
why the hell do you also color non errors red. Just gave me a damn heart atrack -
Use less dev rant. Yes I know it's ironic to post this here, but I waste way too much time on browsing through posts every day :/

I am really fed up with people emailing me asking about how they can use methods of a library I wrote when the answer is literally in the f***ing JavaDoc. At first I thought it might be me not being comprehensive enough in my doc, but when I literally started sending copies of what I wrote there and got a lot of "Thanks that makes it clear"emails I became really fed up with the laziness of some people. I find it disrespectful to my weeks of work for someone who wants to use it to not read a few lines when in doubt.1

It is quite a hard pick either generally coding with friends for fun or getting my first ever program done completely by myself (and I don't mean Hello world but rather my first small 'project') . But I'd probably go with my first ever program. Even though retrospectively the code is let's say not that great, it was still an awesome learning experience to actually create sth working out of code

Handling null like null is to be handled in production. And in current times null is good news (The app is of one of the most important german newspapers)

Found a bug: UI doesn't rescale properly on Android when hiding and unhiding virtual buttons7 -
Be open to other people's code and read a lot of it. Also just trying out new things. Code to learn and improve don't learn to improve code.
