I'm currently on my way to Japan on vacation.
This is how it went so far:
😁 - Arriving at airport early and excited
🤔 - Find out our flight is delayed. Oh well it might now be by a lot
😥 - Find out that it's 2 hours delayed and we will miss our next flight
😤 - Arrive at Frankfurt airport, and stands in line for 2 hours to the service desk
😡 - Arrive at service desk to get told that we have to go to a special service desk to get rebooked
🤬 - Get a ticket with our number in the queue. 125 people in front of us.
😴 - 4 and a half hour later, get get informed we will need to stay at a hotel for the night, and that we'll be flying at 6 pm the next day
😑 - Get to hotel and crashes (this is by 1 am now)
🤬 - Wakes up 6 hours later because we have a room right next to a construction site

Pro tips for Lufthansa and the imbeciles in their management and staff:
1. Inform people. You fucking knew the flight was this delayed, and you could actually have given people a choice at the beginning of their travel.
Now you had to put 100+ people in a hotel.

2. Bring food to people. Spending so much time in an airport leaves people very hungry. (Pssst, chocolate, candy and French potatoes are NOT food)

All in all, just fuck Lufthansa and their handling of this situation.

Fucking great start to the vacation. I'm already more exhausted than if I just went to work...

he: checkout my crazy FUD hack (a token stealer which turned out to be far more malicious than i anticipated)
me: executes it (yes in a VM)
windows defender: lemme delet this
he: ooh i forgot the word stub in there. microsoft detects that lemme fix that sends new file
me: here we go aga..
ms defender: nononono virus 117% delet this
he: i forgot it still!!

later i deactivated ms defender and analysed the traffic of the vm. in addition to stealing my fake tokens he also tried to read my Firefox/chrome history, IP.
when i asked him (2 days later) what this was all about in his "educational only" "token stealer" he threatened to
a) publish my IP
b) publish my browser history and with that my real name and address
b.0) when i asked him for proof he said he knows that my real name is "Roman Gräf" and i live in Frankfurt. (btw i do live in Frankfurt and that is in the profile of the discord server where he found me and i have the same username on discord as i have here)
c) to kill my machine and all my projects
got bored, blocked him, shut VM down.

I once tried to create a client for the fonds bank of Frankfurt. But I didn't expect their JSON API to be designed by a trainee.

Look at the API.
Stringified numbers, decimal commas (Germany), separator dots for thousands, and even one breaks as if it came from a pjp script where they just put an if condition in each line.

I documented the API and tried to create a Jax rs client, but stopped completing it. Not useable atm. Just look at what I spoofed.

So the De-Cix Frankfurt operater sued the german secret service (BND) for taping into the traffic.

They are apparently trying to exclude Traffic from german citizens by filtering for .de domains... Because id never browse any fucking other websites! And not every german website uses .de domains.

The Government justifies this by saying ""If the calculated reference value (Amount of data collected) is increased only strongly enough, the BND (...) can monitor 100 percent of the traffic it really wants (" full take ")."
("Wenn die rechnerische Bezugsgröße nur stark genug erhöht wird, kann der BND (...) den von ihm wirklich gewünschten Verkehr zu 100 Prozent überwachen ("Full Take").")

When will they fucking learn, that mass surveillance is a fucking bad idea?

Sooo, a follow up...
I talked to HoIT last week and he could see the issues, both on how my boss manages his team, but also a clear lack of resources.

He promised that I would be promoted in a some months.

Today, we had a talk with a broader audience. And everyone agrees that the current situation is unsustainable and we should do something now.
I expected HoIT to present his vision, with me as the lead of a new team. But... Nothing...

I tried to suggest the model, using his own words so he might remember.

Nothing...

Sooo anybody in need of a Team Lead/Architect around Frankfurt, Germany??
