Lesson learned from wk111:
We gotta get out of the fucking house more guys and girls!
Go code on a fucking beach or a park or something. Drink some beers and wine. Smoke a couple of joints with good friends.6 -
My Perfect Day : Assumption
Woke up at 6. Went for morning walk or do yoga or some sort of stuff.
Came back at 7. Went for daily routine, like bathing and all.
Went to prepare breakfast at 7:45. Prepared some eggs and bread and coffee.
It is 8:15 now. Reading news papers or watching tv and doing breakfast.
At 9 check mails and prepare some stuff.
At 9: 30 went for office. Reached office 5 minute before 10, safe and sound.
Came back at 7 by evening. Did some rest. Prepare dine till 9. Take a bath. Complete the dine.
At 10:30 ready to sleep.
Actual Scenario :
Woke up at 8:30. No time for yoga or morning walk. No time for preparing breakfast as well. Went straight to bathroom. Came back in 20 minutes. Made a cup of coffee. No time for newspaper or tv.
Feeling lazy and tired already. At 9:10 went for office. Before reaching office stopped at fast food joints. buy some junk food. Eat them. Got traffic jam and reached office late.
Started working but feeling lazy. Boss asked twice about the project status and i am unable to think a single line of code.
However, days passed. Boss scolded me. I promised him to finish the work after reaching home.
Reached home at 7:30. Late for no reason. Went straight to bed. Sleeps a hour. But took 20 minutes to leave bed.
Started working on projects i did not complete in the office.
Time fly and it is already 1 in morning. No dinner. Tired as fuck but hungry as well. So made some eggs and eat. Wrapped the task but it is 3:30 in morning and i jumped to bed for sleep.

This Chinesium power supply looks disgusting 😷 I have no idea what shit this manufacturer put their hands into when they built this piece of garbage (that nonetheless works without blowing up, go figure) but it's all sticky 😐 I want to clean it up before putting it into a new enclosure, but I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner and don't really feel like desoldering all the components and giving it a washing. Are there any other cleaning options that are inexpensive and don't damage the components or the solder joints? Pure alcohol perhaps?

Just took out my four wisdom teeth at once. I can't feel my face, I look like a balloon and I'm drooling like I'm about to eat a delicious cake.
Except the cake is a fucking lie, my mandibular joints are hurting and I can't eat solids for a week.
At least I only have one postoperative to contend with. Hurray! 🙃6 -
If anyone has read any of my posts before you may know, they're usually of a certain... Shall we say, dark, nature?
Well this possibly represents one of the darkest things I've imagined (with regards to technology and programming) I've had.
I was asked if I want to be buried or cremated when I die and they seem so... Pedestrian and I thought long and hard about what would be a fitting way to honour my life and what to do with my remains and it came to me...
I want my flesh to be only partially treated with formaldehyde so chunks of me rot away and others don't.
I want my skeletal structure to be replace with titanium rods with actuators and servo motors where my joints would have been with an internal gyroscope to assist with balance and my corpse will be installed with some sort of IOT controller board with on board wifi.
The companion smart phone app will allow my partially rotting cybernetic zombie corpse to be driven around by a bored grave yard grounds keeper while kids are doing LSD pretending they're all that.
Make them really believe the apocalypse has begun and the dead have risen.
I could be a whole thing for future corpse disposal too.
"Smart corpses, for the loved one who will be more intelligent in death than they were in life."
Although that's probably a bit too harsh...7 -
After weeks of burning the candle at both ends you finally get a good night's sleep.
You wake up and either have a skin condition or a beard had grown and you didn't notice. All joints sound like a bowl of rice crispies when you move and you're seriously beginning to identify with Rip Van Winkle. -
How resource calculations for software services like code analysis, monitoring, etc are done:
Opening fridge, putting all the beer one can find in it.
Opening the necessary tools, e.g Excel, Accounting software, ....
Drinking the first beer.
Starting to aggregate the monthly costs - cause you can never trust the reports written by someone else...
First beer poof.
Looking at the monthly cost, adding columns "Intended use", "Actual usage pattern", "Usage factor"...
Opening next beer...
Usage factor is btw a factor of 0.1 ... 1.0 - to give an estimate how much the products feature are actually used, for further analysis if the invest is justified or not...
Oh. Another half bottle gone...
Filling in the columns...
Oh. Bottle empty and the next one toooooooooooooooo...
*burping*
*cracking finger joints*
Now let's get to the sad part...
Next worksheet, adding infrastructure costs...
Cost and description as columns.
Hehe. Column sounds like gollum.
Another beer...
Ugh. Need the paper reports, manually typing off things for stuff that was e.g. tax deductible.
Many beers die during this task. Poor little beers, dying for such an boring and mundane task...
SUM is a real useful function. I don't think I can add numbers anymore.
Now we can add another sheet.
Hehe. Sheet sounds like shit. And yes, everything in this file is shit.
Summing up costs from both sheets and including the cost factor from 1
... Beeeeeeeer Beeeeer beer we need more beer here... Beer beer beer...
Where was I. Oh yeah. Cost factorization total vs effective.
Why do I want to get even more drunk.
Oh yeah. Most software is completely underused and the costs aren't justified.
Let's add some colored highlighting ...
Uuuuh. ,Too much red. Better change the highlights.
Too much red.
More beer.
Don't give a fuck.
Hm.
Time for some whiskey.
What else is there to do....
Oh yeah.
Diagrams.
The bloody wankers from accounting need diagrams as numbers are too boring.
Not that everything in accounting is boring, no matter how much you paint colors on it... *sigh*
Hm. More whiskey...
Hehe. Whiskey rhymes with frisky.
Uff. Now just need to write mail. Mail mail mail....
"Copy paste the last mail from last month"
Hm.
Ah.
*sipping whiskey*
Spell check extension - to the rescue.
Thesaurus *burps*.
Let's change a few words here and there... Maybe another paragraph there.
Uh....
Trying to attach file...
*fucking mouse is pretty constantly crashing into empty beer bottles*
Done.
Damn.
Need to press send button.
*Creating mess on the desk by just randomly crashing the beer bottles*
Done.
*Pressing computers power button*
Mwahahahaha. No mouse needed.
*regretting to stand up too quickly, nearly barfing on the floor*
Couch ... Where Couch...
After hitting several doors, frames and other stuff, the glorious mission ended successfully with a most graciously executed gut buster on the couch.
(Regretting next morning to have emptied two 6 packs and a few glasses of whiskey) -
Tin whiskers grow on solder joints and make shorts. They’re real, and they kill a lot of electronics.
The only known cure is adding lead to the solder, but modern standards only allow lead-free solder prone to tin whiskers. Leaded solder is the reason that early computers are still operational today.
Petition to allow medical equipment manufacturers to use leaded solder! Life support shorting out and burning in the middle of the night will kill the patient.6 -
Our DB teacher always told us about God (Codd) doin some Join(t)s. He spoke very slowly. Must have been kinda disturbing for normal people...

Setting the path veriable is as tricky as finding path to some hidden delicious food joints...Ahh atlast my python is moving

Southern Pro Wash & Seal: Enhance Your Property’s Curb Appeal with Professional Paver Sealing in Lakeland, FL
At Southern Pro Wash & Seal, we specialize in helping homeowners and businesses in Lakeland, FL improve the look and longevity of their outdoor spaces. One of the most effective ways to enhance the curb appeal of your property is through paver sealing. Paver sealing not only beautifies your surfaces but also protects them from the elements, ensuring they last longer and remain stunning for years to come.
In this article, we’ll share essential paver maintenance tips for Lakeland, FL homeowners and answer some frequently asked questions to help you make informed decisions about your paver care and sealing needs.
Improve Curb Appeal with Paver Sealing in Lakeland, FL
When it comes to improving curb appeal, paver sealing is one of the best investments you can make for your home or business. Whether you have a driveway, patio, pool deck, or walkway made of pavers, sealing these surfaces can make a world of difference. Here's why:
Protects Against the Elements: Lakeland, FL’s sunny, humid climate can take a toll on your pavers. Sealing them creates a protective barrier that prevents damage from UV rays, water, mold, mildew, and stains from oil or dirt.
Restores Color and Beauty: Over time, pavers can fade and lose their luster. Sealing your pavers brings back their natural color and provides a glossy or matte finish that makes your driveway or patio look like new again.
Prevents Weeds and Growth: Sealing your pavers helps prevent weeds, moss, and algae from growing between the joints. This not only keeps your pavers looking neat but also reduces maintenance over time.
Improves Durability: Paver sealing provides a layer of protection that helps your pavers withstand wear and tear, making them more durable and long-lasting.
If you want to boost the visual appeal and longevity of your outdoor surfaces, paver sealing in Lakeland, FL is the perfect solution. Southern Pro Wash & Seal offers expert sealing services tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring high-quality results every time.
Paver Maintenance Tips for Lakeland, FL Homeowners
Proper paver maintenance is key to extending the lifespan of your driveway, patio, or walkway. Whether you’ve recently had your pavers sealed or are preparing to, here are some essential paver maintenance tips for Lakeland, FL homeowners to keep your surfaces in great condition:
1. Regular Cleaning
Routine Cleaning: To maintain your pavers’ appearance, regularly remove dirt, leaves, and debris with a broom or blower. For deeper cleaning, use a pressure washer at a low setting to avoid damaging the pavers.
Stain Removal: If you notice oil or grease stains, use a specialized cleaner designed for pavers. Make sure to clean stains as soon as they appear to prevent them from setting.
2. Address Weeds and Moss
Weed Removal: Weeds can easily grow between paver joints, which not only looks unattractive but can also cause long-term damage. You can prevent weed growth by applying a weed killer or removing them manually.
Moss or Algae: If your pavers have developed moss or algae, gently scrub the area with a soft brush and use an algae remover if necessary. Consider using a sealant that provides added protection against growth.
3. Monitor for Settling or Shifting
Check for Shifting: Over time, pavers may shift or settle due to ground movement or heavy traffic. If you notice this happening, you may need to adjust the pavers and reapply sand to fill the joints. A professional contractor can assist with this if necessary.
4. Reapply Sealer Every Few Years
Sealer Maintenance: Depending on the climate and wear, pavers should be resealed every 1 to 3 years. This will help maintain their protection and appearance. If you notice your pavers looking dull or water no longer beads on the surface, it’s time to reseal them.
5. Ensure Proper Drainage
Drainage Considerations: Ensure that your pavers have proper drainage to avoid water pooling, which can cause long-term damage. If you notice pooling water, it may be necessary to adjust the grading of your pavers.
Following these paver maintenance tips will help keep your outdoor surfaces looking great and ensure that your investment in pavers lasts for years to come. If you’re unsure about performing maintenance tasks yourself or need assistance, Southern Pro Wash & Seal is here to help with professional cleaning, sealing, and repairs.8 -
to me, japanese means unsophisticated. Idk whose idea all that weeb propaganda was, but:
- traditional japanese art: too simple, no sense of perspective, no sense of proportion. yes, even the great wave. look at any japanese painting pre-20th century, and then at any european renaissance-era painting. If you prefer the former, you're fucking blind
- when you eat, you sit on the floor like a caveman. you eat with two sticks. really? how hard was it to invent a fucking fork?
- traditional japanese furniture is trash. why all those complicated joints that look horribly after one year of use, especially if it's outdoors? don't you have nails or screws?
- sashimi is just uncooked sliced fish.
- cars are ugly and too basic. modern ones are unreliable too. the only way to make a gas car reliable is to overbuild it. volvo red blocks were indestructible because they operated at 8-12% of their horsepower limit compared to mechanical strength. take any engine, cut its horsepowers to one tenth of what it's capable of, and you'll get a reliable engine. it doesn't take any engineering talent. yes, there are foot guns, but if you're not doing crazy shit, you belong in this framework.
- no good software
- ugly, horror vacui websites and interfaces
- everything is so fucking crude
- nintendo is the same old mario crap repackaged again and again
- anime is the same basic plot again and again, just slop at this point.
- same with all gacha games
- it's all either cartoonish or borderline porn, with few exceptions
- no good porcelain (that's china and france, then soviet union)
weebs will say that it's okay, it's minimalism, and that I just don't get it.
if you want to sell something to weebs, take anything, make it 10x the price, and say that it came from japan, and every shortcoming is intentional. boom, done.
post-ww2 japan is a US colony that exists because of US money. The day US money is gone, japan will become china.
you need engineering, you go to germany. you need sophistication, you go to france. you need affordability and scale, you go to china.
japanese pm was assassinated in 2022 with a homemade pipe gun like it's 19th century or something. japanese minister in charge of IT doesn't know what a flash drive is and doesn't use a computer. Also, name a country with $54k+ GDP per capita that has so big of a problem with work culture that "death because of working too much" is a separate short word, that's how often it's used?11 -
App Review – Zomato 2.0
Some apps are as essential as oxygen by example of https://apps.apple.com/us/app/... . Zomato, for sure, is one of them. If you love to eat outside and you’re not living in a cave, chances are that you’ve already gone through Zomato on the web or used one of their mobile apps. If not – Zomato is the place where you can locate eating joints, scan through their menus, check for home delivery numbers and a lot more than that. If you are diabetic you keep sweets in your pocket, similarly Zomato is something every food-loving person needs to keep in their mobile phones(I agree how PR-ish that sounds but it’s true).
Zomato had recently integrated social features on its website. That was followed by the much needed overhaul of their mobile apps. They’ve also updated their iOS app recently and I decided to give it a shot. Zomato 2.0 on the iPhone is super slick to say the least. The redesign brings a lot of character to the app. The Zomato app is now much more smoother, cleaner and powerful. The added social functionality adds more value to the app.
Design and Features
The 2.0 update completely changes the entire look and feel of the app. Everything from the app’s start screen to restaurant details has been changed. The default menu lets you explore and search eating places. Now there are icons for top 25 restaurants, reviews, favorites and more. The icons have been perfectly placed and it’s very easy to spot what you’re looking for.
Everything is just right. The app is highly responsive and there’s hardly any lag. If any, it will depend on your internet connectivity. Browsing menus is still a breeze and I personally love the way you can toggle between information, menu, photos and last but not the least, the reviews. Everything placed just perfectly to help you make that ultimate make or break decision – to eat or order from here or not?
Social
Everything is getting social. Even the next door Dolly-beauty-parlor apps are getting more social now. Zomato just integrated its social features on the web recently and they’re now a part of their mobile apps. On the iPhone app you need to login to access these social features. There’s a Top Foodies leaderboard that could prove to be a crucial game mechanic for the app. Browsing users’ profiles allows you to follow users. The profile pages tie up a user’s reviews and followers. This is all pretty neat and a part of a major plan at Zomato to take over the world.
With lists, network, user reviews etc. there’s a lot more to the app. I’m hearing that there’s still a lot more to come when it comes to social features on the Zomato iPhone app. I better start following up with people and posting reviews. This just kicked Foursquare where it hurts the most. And with that I’ve lost the little amount of motivation I had to check-in to places on Foursquare1 -
