Breakdown of a casual work day:
50%- typing the same commands over and over again in my terminal and watching things build.
10% - lunch, coffee, attending nature’s calls, staring into space enjoying the headphone music.
10% - googling solutions. Only to find that 3 minutes later you’re reading a wikihow page on how to moonwalk.
10% - talking to fellow humans
10% - typing my password to unlock my computer. Mac users exclusive -typing keychain passwords
5% - contemplating what will happen if you suddenly get up and start dancing. Will you start a flash mob?
5% - random thoughts continue...why am I here? Why am I not partnering with Daft Punk to release a single?6 -
Hi devs,
i am just curious, how often you use devrant.
to be honest,.. if my life is good.. no bugs. no miss management. I don't even remember devrant exist..
but as soon as I got frustrated from code, management, life.. Devrant is the first thing I type of my browser before starting any work :P3 -
Does anyone just feel tired, in general? Like the boss is (usually) alright. I like the work and I am good at it. Maybe I'm not feeling challenged enough? Honestly, I'm not sure. In the last retro, I was an 8.5/10 on the happiness index, now I'm a 4...wtf4

Being a dev intern is so hard! The company expects me to have knowledge as a senior developer but with a stipend of a janitor! :(3

I just spent hours making my own email-receipt sending system. My ip got blocked because of a misconfigured server. I had to reconfigure it and when it's finally working I realise that Stripe already have a built in feature for this.
I'm crying in a corner, slowly dying inside. -

As a JS developer I wish that when I import a package, a list of all the Jquery methods comes shipped with it 🥺12

Managers fucking fun activity. They're taking it away from meeting room. Shouting down the hall. I pinged my HR.
Me: How can one code with this noice
HR: I understand. You even have a typo with 'noise'
Shit fuck, here goes my weekend. I have to revisit what have I coded today 😠2 -
What frustrates me 'most' in coding is, putting comments...🙄🙄🙄
The frustration seems to go more than the 'most', when I don't find them and wonder, what the heck! 😠😠😠8 -
