10 years ago when I started this path I was undecided between computer science and helicopter pilot. I made the right decision!4

My dev role model is my senior who taught me JavaScript when I was a noob. He was so cool. One of the few real programmers who enjoy their work in a clusterfuck world of idiots who pretend for money.
His philosophy sticks with me even today. I was new to the industry and the long hours of low pay intern work were getting to me. But he kept reminding me that programming still has this cool, engineering side where you blitz stuff out on a keyboard and build awesome shit.
I owe him my career because without him I'd still be one of the other stooges who bitch about the job and avoid studying. But since working with him, I never speak bad about my profession. Programming is a beautiful profession, even if the people I work with are sometimes dumbfuck dicks. And he taught me that distinction.2 -
last night i was searching for a way to check the battery charge level of my bluetooth headset on linux. None of the workarounds seemed to work for me. I did some research on how bluetooth devices communicate over socket and wrote a python script to do the job. I'm sharing it here. It may be useful for you too.

Our CTO doesn't believe that tests improve code quality. We have no tests on any level, no testers/QA, no code reviews. Nada. I wonder why production keeps breaking 🤔 Guess I'll start looking for another job 🤷♂️20

Used to pay $5/mo on a small instance for my personal site. Then I discovered Kubernetes and realized my site didn't scale! No canary deployments! So I upgraded and pay $200/mo now. Took weeks to configure. Millions of people can now read my resume. Damn, it's never looked better8

During my last University year, a big IT Corp made a national contest for students with some 3 phases and some prized at the end. I ended 14 over 2000 participants and they called me for an internship which eventually turned up to a good job contract. Still working with them now.

Devrant has a critical performance issue. It kills my performance. I believe more users can be affected6

As promised, here is an update photo! Just bought some nicer BenQ displays and a quad VESA mount to hold it all. My RX 460 can barely keep up, so that's the next thing on the upgrade list.
