Why is it so important to some people to claim that "HTML and CSS are not programming languages"? I get it, you're a REAL programmer working with arrays, maybe tuples, objects and possibly direct memory management. Who the fuck has a right to call themselves a programmer for writing some brain dead markup or poorly designed selectors, right? Who fucking cares for semantic tags or nested selectors?
Just think for a few seconds about when you were taking your first baby steps to becoming the GOD ROCKING MEMORY HANDLER THAT WRITES _REAL_ CODE that you are today, and how good it felt to be able to create something that appeared on your screen. It felt pretty awesome, yeah?
Now imagine if someone much more experienced than you told you "You're not a real programmer, that is not real programming. You should see what I do, I do real programming".
I think you get it. Why spend your energy spreading bad vibes when you could spend it on something more productive. Like reading up on the new CSS4 specs ;)18 -
That feeling when you've been programming, scripting and developing games, software and web pages for nearly a decade and you still feel like a talentless hack that doesn't deserve the wages you are paid, and constantly fear being exposed as a fraud by your peers... :x6

I was just wondering if there were gay developers around here ?
I'm not desperately looking for a man (already found mine) but It's just I don't seem to often get to meet gay peers. And well, if it can make get people to talk :)
If you're shy, just +1 or whatever, I didn't sudo the question.8 -
Just bought a knockoff controller for my gaming PC, plugged it in and I was playing Rocket League in 10 seconds. No driver install, no key mapping.
This is how everything should be.1 -

I've spent a day trying to figure out a code logic. Couldn't figure out why some codes that shouldn't be commented out are commented out.
Out of frustration, I went to see the user. She explained to me the logic behind it and I got it right away within 5 minutes.
Ask your user when in doubt and in trouble figuring out the logic. -
Making cheat codes with cheat engine -> making games with game maker -> learning Python freshman year of high school -> ap computer science -> 75% of a computer engineering degree and 2 internships, soon to be 3!

That moment when you realize that you are workaholic, make final push to your personal project, hide computer away, and gaze out of the window, realizing that you are nothing without computer.5

Once again, another weekend I promised myself to start programming projects, only to step through a worm hole and wake up on Monday.

My computer science teacher is very sly: while you are working he stands right behind you for some time, so you start writing good code, functions for everything, perfect indentation... But you don't know if he is still behind you, and you're not brave enough to look back, so you write good code for the rest of the lesson.
What a good prof8
