I was about to use the Duolingo but I think it triggered me to hard. 2 mistakes in a row.
1. I have Portuguese origins and they used the Brazilian flag
2. I was born in Luxemburg and they just used our flag for The Netherlands (I know they're pretty similar but cmooooon)

codeCertain - Duolingo styled code learning platform that emphasizes learning by repetition. Be certain of your code.5

Duolingo used to be better. New updates and restrictions are shit. Specially the whole "take a heart away for a mistake, five mistakes and you can't use the app for hours". Like, I get it, you couldn't manage the traffic. But this is ridiculous. Also, where did the lesson overviews go?9

Turns out, even spam in dR has its benefits :)
retoor's bot was asleep I guess, so I noticed a spanish spam post about taxi 24 horas [taxi with 24 whores]. And it was quite a good test for my spanish! Turns out, with Duolingo in one year one can learn to understand a language quite well. I only didn't know a few words in the spam post, but the rest I read as if it were english.
Daaayyuummm.. I was too sceptic about Dulingo :o4 -
So, I just downloaded Enki, and I love it. It is like the duoLingo of coding. Most other platforms don't hold you to a regimen, but Enki does. My favorite is the "Does it work in IE8" game! I really hope to sharpen my skills with this app.

I’m learning Japanese with Duolingo, so I enabled the keyboards in iOS. However I am not far enough along to know how to type what I need and the layout looks like it’s based on a 10 key phone. So for now I speak “おはよう” and have Siri do the writing.6

Update about my last rant: https://devrant.com/rants/11157064/...
I gave up with the idea of ever getting back together with my ex, accepted that it's over and moved on. I genuinely wish her the best in life.
Anyways, I found an Indonesian woman and we're officially dating now. It happened when I was with my bro on a trip to Indonesia almost 2 months ago.
At first I was hesitant because it could be more of an interest for my passport but I figured that she's interested in me instead because when texting she almost never initiated. I kept texting her every 2-5 days. Now that we're together she does it everyday by herself.
She's literally perfect and definitely a massive upgrade from my ex in every way possible. Same values, same goals, same hobbies, same views and same religion. She's emotionally intelligent. She's physically a 10/10, too. I'm surprised that I could "catch" someone like her tbh.
Only issue right now is the language barrier. She understands some English but not good enough to hold a conversation. She works on it with Duolingo everyday.
Writing this as we're sleeping in call.8
