So I just interviewed this guy for admission into our bootcamp and because he has raised some red flags before, I asked him to just write a factorial function and he chose HTML to do it. I told him he can certainly try thinking that maybe he doesn't know that whatever you write inside script tag is actually JavaScript. He went on to do this. What bothers me is he have a computer science diploma.
Till now I have just heard of these people but always taught those are just marketing or some person who think that just because they here HTML with some other programming language. BUT THIS IS SOME NEXT LEVEL SHIT.

Spends hours implementing a really cool new feature.

classmate: Hey, "friend" told me you do freelance website development. right? I need to create a new website and need your help.
Me: umm... OK... what's it about?
Classmate: It's for my dad's friend's business.
Me: OK. but I will charge the standard rate.
classmate: No... I will make it myself. I just want your help.
Me(Internally): ...not again...
Me: Do it yourself then.
Classmate: It will be quick. an hour or two max.
Me: *speechless*
Classmate: And one of my uncle who did IT told me that c++ is faster. can we use that instead of HTML?
Me: huh...?
classmate: you don't know shit.
... classmate walks away...
This guy somehow manages to get As in exams (mostly cheating. and our papers are shitty theory papers which you can mug up. so that helps) and in a year will have an IT degree.56 -
"Let's go for the low hanging fruit first" 🤢
"I think we should do some market research" 🤢
"Yeah that is also on my radar" 🤢
OKAY YOU FUCKING CUNT, STOP WITH YOUR PATRONIZING SHIT.
FIRST OF ALL, ARE YOU REALLY SO SMALL MINDED THAT YOU CAN'T REACH ANY HIGHER? THIS TREE IS FUCKING RAW AMD BARE ON THE BOTTOM, WITH YOUR FILTHY CLAWS GRASPING FOR ALL THOSE EASY NARROW FIXES.
SECONDLY, A FUCKING EMAIL SURVEY WITH BIASED QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY 3 HOBOS IS NOT BLOODY MARKET RESEARCH.
THIRDLY, IF THIS NUCLEAR ICBM OF AN INFRASTRUCTURE PROBLEM IS ON YOUR RADAR, MAYBE STOP FONDLING YOUR SWEATY BALLS FOR A MINUTE AND TAKE ACTION.
"Okay lets peel this onion, so we hit the ground running" 😩🤢😞
NO, LET'S NOT "HIT THE GROUND RUNNING", YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING TRIP AND MESS UP YOUR FACE EVEN MORE. HOW ABOUT GET YOUR PILE OF SHIT IN ORDER FOR ONCE, PREPARE FOR A MEETING? HOW ABOUT THOUGHTFUL ACTION, SOME FEATURE DESIGN?
"No, just implement it quick and dirty" 🤢😡👿
OH YOU WANT IT QUICK AND DIRTY? IS THAT HOW YOU FUCK YOUR DAD AS WELL?
"Let's evaluate the fix in a few weeks. We really had good synergy here team" 🤢😫
YEAH SURE, LET'S EVALUATE THIS.... BUT LET'S EVALUATE IT RIGHT NOW: 😡
"Ahem....
1. You're always late for meetings.
2. After 6 months, you still barely know what we do as a company, you still don't know the teams, and you still don't know the product.
3. You do not listen to engineers flooding you with red flags, requiring time for a redesign to fix serious scaling issues.
4. Everything must be a quickfix, nothing is allowed to require thought, because you CAN ABSOLUTELY NOT think ahead for more than 30 seconds.
OH AND IF YOU EVER AGAIN COVER UP ONE OF YOUR MANY SHORTCOMINGS WITH THAT FUCKING SLIMEY DOUCHEBAG MANAGER VOCABULARY OF YOURS, LET'S SEE HOW MUCH SYNERGY YOU FEEL WHEN YOU'RE DEEPTHROATHING A CACTUS."18 -

I had this idea about national flags on the avatar. (Something like an item on the desk) then @letmecode suggested notebook stickers.

You might know by now that India demonetized old higher value notes and brought in new one. The new ones easily tear off easily and generally feel cheaper and less reliable than pervious ones.
One interesting thing people discovered is that rubbing it with cloth makes the ink transfer to the cloth. Sign of crap printing. Here's government response:
The new currency notes have a security feature called 'intaglio printing'. A genuine currency note can be tested by rubbing it with a cloth; this creates a turbo-electric effect, transferring the ink colour onto the cloth
TL;DR: its not a bug, it's a feature7 -

My boss ladies and gentlemen.9 -
I am bloody sick of being on my own.
I was the sole dev at the last few jobs I've held, with the exception of API Guy -- who didn't really help much, and who got fired / quit six months after I started. Every other job I've either been the only dev, or the only web dev. (Exception:My boss at my previous job was a Rails dev, but he has zero time to code, and was significantly less experiened so he could only rarely help anyway.)
But now I'm in a company with a bunch of other devs, and they're all ostensibly senior devs, so you'd think I should be able to ask questions, right? And get answers? that actually help? like "Hey, you built this; how does it work?" No bloody way.
So far every time I've asked someone for help, they've been incompetent. I asked about what a few flags did, and got an answer that basically said "you just gotta know. oh, and the labels aren't up to date, so don't trust what they say." I asked the head of the "product team" about a ticket that he wrote, and he changed what it meant four times within two days. I asked about another, and he said "oh, that isn't reproduceable." Thanks. I asked about mailers, and got two very different, very incompete walkthroughs from the more senior devs (9+ years on this codebase) that didn't help. I asked two people about how users and roles work, and still have no idea what kind of user (there are like twelve?) is what, what roles even exist, or how to check for permissions. `@current_user` is a thing, but idfk what it holds since that can change considerably, and there's an impersonation feature that changes how it works, too. I ask the product guy again about where to link something, and he has no idea. I ask said product guy about what this feature needs to do, and he doesn't know. I ask what the legal team needs, and i get nothing. I ask the designer where the goddamn CSS lives, and he doesn't know; he apparently just puts it wherever he feels like, even if it's a completely unrelated stylesheet. As long as it works, right?
I ask very simple and straighforward questions, and it takes them forever to get back to me saying what amounts to "idk, ask someone else."
This feels like the same crap all over again, except now there are a bunch of devs I can ask that give me basically the same answers as the sales people always did. Always "idk" or a confusing mess of an 'answer' that skips most/all of the important bits. At least these people don't [usually] contradict themselves.
So, @Root is all alone, again.
And currounded by incompetence.
Again.
For fuck's sake.
Can't I catch a break?19 -
@dfox I would love if you guys added some flags for users use on profile showing our nationality, like "Apple, Windows or Linux". And if that's not possible, at least add some fictional flags like Portugal, U.K., Italy.
What do you think?12 -

The change log from notepad++ update. The last paragraph is the cream!
" The issue of a hijacked DLL concerns scilexer.dll (needed by Notepad++) on a compromised PC, which is replaced by a modified scilexer.dll built by the CIA. When Notepad++ is launched, the modified scilexer.dll is loaded instead of the original one.
It doesn't mean that CIA is interested in your coding skill or in your sex message content typed in Notepad++, but rather it prevents raising any red flags while the DLL does data collection in the background.
It's not a vulnerability/security issue in Notepad++, but for remedying this issue, from this release (v7.3.3) forward, notepad++.exe checks the certificate validation in scilexer.dll before loading it. If the certificate is missing or invalid, then it just won't be loaded, and Notepad++ will fail to launch.
Checking the certificate of DLL makes it harder to hack. Note that once users’ PCs are compromised, the hackers can do anything on the PCs. This solution only prevents from Notepad++ loading a CIA homemade DLL. It doesn't prevent your original notepad++.exe from being replaced by modified notepad++.exe while the CIA is controlling your PC.
Just like knowing the lock is useless for people who are willing to go into my house, I still shut the door and lock it every morning when I leave home. We are in a f**king corrupted world, unfortunately. "2 -
One step through the door my wife whips around, a look so disgusted she barely seems human. "What's that smell?" she cries. "It's you! You smell like...like bad code!"
Indeed, I am covered with the scent of the forbidden love child of a man who read half a chapter on if-then statements and then pushed out into the world, earthworm-like, a mangled misshapened gelatinous mass that my employer gave the title of line-of-business application purely out of pity.
For more days than I'd like to count I have been porting a ColdFusion 5 application to .NET. Initially written in 2000 and last touched in 2006, it has a data architecture comparable to Dresden after the second world war. It features a table solely comprised of seven columns of IDs so that joins can be made between other tables lacking a common key. Columns that should be contained within a single table spread out among multiple tables. Single columns containing data that should be multiple columns (with handy flags to separate the subsets). A view with 14 joins that playfully displays unintended results. And so much more spread out over almost 200 stored procedures, views, triggers, and tables on the SQL server, and dozens of additional ADO-like SQL statements within the ColdFusion itself. Fortunately, the application overcomes these issues by having absolutely no data validation while allowing nulls pretty much everywhere.
When I am done this will be a very nice ASP.NET MVC app with at least 150 less stored procs, views, and tables. Auto-generated duplicate entries will be a thing of the past. Pop-up windows that inexplicably refresh the underlying screen to display a different part of the program than the one the user wants will be eliminated. And a UI based on the colors of a Rubik's Cube with usability that Mr. Rubik would find challenging will disappear with only the trauma of using it left behind.
Sadly, this is not my worse legacy code experience. Just the most recent. Just the most recent stench added to a lifetime of bathing in code rot.3 -
I'm editing the sidebar on one of our websites, and shuffling some entries. It involves moving some entries in/out of a dropdown and contextual sidebars, in/out of submenus, etc. It sounds a little tedious but overall pretty trivial, right?
This is day three.
I learned React+Redux from scratch (and rebuilt the latter for fun) in twice that long.
In my defense, I've been working on other tasks (see: Alerts), but mostly because I'd rather gouge my freaking eyes out than continue on this one.
Everything that could be wrong about this is. Everything that could be over-engineered is. Everything that could be written worse... can't, actually; it's awful.
Major grievances:
1) The sidebars (yes, there are several) are spread across a ridiculous number of folders. I stopped counting at 20.
2) Instead of icon fonts, this uses multiple images for entry states.
3) The image filenames don't match the menu entry names. at all. ("sb_gifts.png" -> orders); active filenames are e.g. "sb_giftsactive.png"
4) The actions don't match the menu entry names.
5) Menu state is handled within the root application controller, and doesn't use bools, but strings. (and these state flags never seem to get reset anywhere...)
6) These strings are used to construct the image filenames within the sidebar views/partials.
7) Sometimes access restrictions (employee, manager, etc.) are around the individual menu entries, sometimes they're around a partial include, meaning it's extremely difficult to determine which menu entries/sections/subsections are permission-locked without digging through everything.
8) Within different conditionals there are duplicate blocks markup, with duplicate includes, that end up render different partials/markup due to different state.
9) There are parent tags outside of includes, such as `<ul>#{render 'horrific-eye-stabbing'}</ul>`
10) The markup differs per location: sometimes it's a huge blob of non-semantic filthiness, sometimes it's a simple div+span. Example filth: section->p->a->(img,span) ... per menu entry.
11) In some places, the markup is broken, e.g. `<li><u>...</li></u>`
12) In other places, markup is used for layout adjustments, such as an single nested within several divs adorned with lots of styles/classes.
13) Per-device layouts are handled, not within separate views, but by conditionally enabling/disabling swaths of markup, e.g. (if is_cordova_session?).
14) `is_cordova_session` in particular is stored within a cookie that does not expire, and within your user session. disabling it is annoying and very non-obvious. It can get set whether or not you're using cordova.
15) There are virtually no stylesheets; almost everything is inline (but of course not actually everything), which makes for fun layout debugging.
16) Some of the markup (with inline styling, no less) is generated within a goddamn controller.
17) The markup does use css classes, but it's predominately not for actual styling: they're used to pick out elements within unit tests. An example class name: "hide-for-medium-down"; and no, I can't figure out what it means, even when looking at the tests that use it. There are no styles attached to that particular class.
18) The tests have not been updated for three years, and that last update was an rspec version bump.
19) Mixed tabs and spaces, with mixed indentation level (given spaces, it's sometimes 2, 4, 4, 5, or 6, and sometimes one of those levels consistently, plus an extra space thereafter.)
20) Intentional assignment within conditionals (`if var=possibly_nil_return_value()`)
21) hardcoded (and occasionally incorrect) values/urls.
... and last but not least:
22) Adding a new "menu sections unit" (I still haven't determined what the crap that means) requires changing two constants and writing a goddamn database migration.
I'm not even including minor annoyances like non-enclosed ternaries, poor naming conventions, commented out code, highly inefficient code, a 512-character regex (at least it's even, right?), etc.
just.
what the _fuck_
Who knew a sidebar could be so utterly convoluted?6 -
The riskiest dev choice...
How about "The riskiest thing you've done as a dev"? I have a great entry for that. and I suppose it was my choice to build the feature afterall.
I was working on an instance of a small MMO at a game company I worked for. The MMO boasted multiple servers, each of them a vastly different take on the base game. We could use, extend, or outright replace anything we wanted to, leading to everything from Zelda to pokemon to an RP haven to a top-down futuristic counterstrike. The server in this particular instance was a fantasy RPG, and I was building it a new leveling and experience system with most of the trimmings. (Talents, feats/perks, etc. were in a future update.)
A bit of background, first: the game's dev setup did not have the now-standard dev/staging/prod servers; everything ran on prod, devs worked on prod, players connected and played on prod, etc. Worse yet, there was no backup system implemented -- or not really. The CTO was really the only person with sufficient access. The techy CEO did as well, but he rarely dealt with anything technical except server hardware, occasionally. And usually just to troll/punish us devs (as in "Oops ! I pulled the cat5 ! ;)"). Neither of them were the most reliable of people, either. The CTO would occasionally remote in and make backups of each server -- we assumed whenever he happened to think of it -- and would also occasionally do it when asked, but it could take him a week, sometimes even up to a month to get around to it. So the backups were only really useful for retreiving lost code and assets, not so much for player data.
The lack of reliable backups and the lack of proper testing grounds (among the plethora of other issues at the company) made for an absolutely terrible dev setup, but that's just how it was, and that's what we dealt with. We were game devs, afterall. Terrible or not, we got to make games! What more could you ask for!? It was amazing and terrible and wonderful and the worst thing ever, all at the same time. (and no, I'm not sharing the company name, but it isn't EA or Nexon, surprisingly 😅)
Anyway, back to the story! My new leveling system also needed to migrate players' existing data, so... you can see where this is going.
I did as much testing and inspection of my code as I could, copied it from a personal dev script to the server's xp system, ... and debated if I really wanted to click [Apply]. Every time I considered it, I went back to check another part or do yet more testing. I ended up taking like 40 minutes to finally click it.
And when I did... that was the scariest button press of my life. And the scariest three seconds' wait afterwards. That one click could have ruined every single player's account, permanently lost us players ...
After applying it, I immediately checked my character to see if she was broken, checked the account data for corruption or botched flags, checked for broken interactions with the other systems....
Everything ended up working out perfectly, and the players loved all of the new features. They had no idea what went into building them, and certainly had no idea of what went into applying them, or what could have gone wrong -- which is probably a good thing.
Looking back, that entire environment was so fragile, it's a wonder things didn't go horribly wrong all the time. Really, they almost never did. Apocalypses did happen, but were exceedingly rare, and were ususally fixed quickly. I guess we were all super careful simply because everything was so fragile? or the decent devs were, at least. We never trusted the lessers with access 😅 at least on the main servers where it mattered. Some of the smaller servers... well, we never really cared about those.
But I'm honestly more surprised to realize I've never had nightmares of that button click. It was certainly terrifying enough.
But yay! Complete system overhaul and migration of stored and realtime player data! on prod! With no issues! And lots of happy players! Woooooo!
Thinking back on it makes me happy 😊rant deploying straight to prod prod prod prod dev server? dev on prod you chicken migration on prod wk149 git? who's a git? you're a git! scariest deploy ever game development1 -

Client: But here it says Bitcoin faucet bot [links shitty how-to youtube video]
Me: 😒 it's not real dude you are about to get scammed, I can test it in a VM if you. . .
Client: I opened it already, it's working
Me: 😮 r u sure?
Client: yes, can you install VM for further testing?
Me: sure, in your computer?
Client: yes
Me: just download the windows image and text me when it's done
Client: My disc is full! Only 3 gb left

I Quit,
Finally I quit.
This feels good after the countless red flags I raised to management and wishful thinking that this time things will be different. For the past year!
This time I lost the optimistic approach and got myself a couple of interviews, thinking, I'm in this for the long haul, could be 6 months could be a year, evantually I will succeed. and what do you know? It works, I can still pass those.
Then I set down with myself and thought, should I come to managment before signing the contract? Giving another chance for a real change? The answer was a resounding Hell No!
So, yea, if you are in a tough position. Don't give up, think long term, and who knows that "long term" might just be a month.3 -
Job BS that made me consider quitting? If you find my previous rants, you find a lot of BS.
Here is one (attached is the actual email sent to me.)
TL;DR. The biggest BS part is the fact that I *got approval* from my boss to work on the migration and we already 'owned' specific project and no one else was working on it.
After I got the email (my boss sits right next to me)
Me: "Whoa..what's this!? Two weeks ago you gave me the green light to work on it."
C: "Oh yea...I forgot. Sorry."
<yes, the BS flags thrown all all over the place>
Me: "I'll schedule a meeting with everybody and straighten this out."
C: "That's a good idea, but I'll take care of it."
<10 min. later>
C: "Sorry, J said his word was final. You are not supposed to work on the project."
Me: "I never said I wanted to work on the project, it's already finished and with your approval. That's what I want straightened out."
C: "Yea..yea...I know, but J said to roll back your changes. I tried everything I could to change his mind."
Me: "I don't want his mind...never mind...I'll go talk to the boss if J won't listen"
C: "About that..um...the directive came directly from the boss. It's probably best you roll back the changes and forget this happened."
I knew then the well was already poisoned, so anything I said could be grounds for dismissal (the boss had an itchy 'firing' finger)
Time and karma took care of most of the rage. Not really a month later my boss was demoted back to developer and working on dead-end projects (porting data for reports).

Recently, our team hired an arrogant trainee-junior to the team, who turned out to be mean towards the other developers and in a habit of publicly mocking their opinions and going as far as cursing at them. He steals credit and insults others. He openly admits he's an offensive person and not a team player. When someone from the team speaks, he might break into laughter and say demeaning sentences like "that's so irrelevant oh my god did you really say that? hahaha". Our team consists of polite and introverted engineers who cannot stand up to bullies. Normally this kind of behavior won't be suitable even if you work in a burger shop especially not from a trainee. Let alone trainee, the rude behavior of Linus Torvalds was not tolerated, despite him being in the top position and a recognized star talent in the IT field.
I personally no longer feel comfortable speaking up during teams meetings or in the slack team chat. I'm afraid my opinions will be ridiculed or ashamed - likely will be called "irrelevant". I respond only if I'm directly addressed. We have important features coming up, requested by the customer, but I feel discouraged to publicly ask questions - I sort of feel having to regress into contributing less for the product. I also witness that other younger developers speak less now in meetings and team chat. Feels like everyone is hiding under the bed. Our product team used to have friendly working atmosphere but now the atmosphere is a bit like we're not a team anymore but a knot.
Lesson I learnt from here is: There is a reason why some companies have personality tests and HR interviews. Our proud short boarding process was consisting of a single technical interview. Perhaps at least a team interview should be held before hiring a person to the team, or the new hire should at least be posed a question: are you a team player? Technical skills can be taught more easily than social skills. If some youngster is unable to communicate in a civilized manner for even five minutes, it should raise some red flags. Otherwise you will end up with people who got refused from other companies which knew better.22 -
Ticket: “feature [x] doesn’t work”
Me: “I’ll need more details: how do I reach feature [x]? In which of the three projects you assigned me is that?”
Manager: “the design is in the ticket”
Me, in my head: “can you effin listen to what I told you before giving air to your mouth?”
Me, in person: “yeah I just need to know which project this refers to and how to reach it”
Manager: “but you have to open the ticket as a separate page!”
Me: “sure!” *waits 15 min, opens a ticket for more details, assigns it to manager, flags as blocking, flags the other one as blocked*
5 mins later: details are given and I can proudly fox it by remembering the manager they have to login in order to see feature [x]
Later in the workweek:
Manager at 8:00 URGENT FEATURE! MUST BE DELIVERED BY EOD
Me, 10:00 “can jump on it, need authorisation for [a procedure]
Me, 11,12,13,15,16,17:30: pings for an answer
Manager, 17:58 “ah sorry didn’t see, we can do it tomorrow”
Is this the matrix? Am I being stopped from developing cause I am randomly accessing matrix’s code without knowing it? Is this the Truman show? And most importantly: can I please take part to a manager hiring session? I am curious to see how tf you hire such peculiar people.10 -
I was about to use the Duolingo but I think it triggered me to hard. 2 mistakes in a row.

I honestly don't understand people. They are unable to understand easy to use apps when you provide clearly labeled labels yet they use apps like Snapchat which apart from being the worst designed app I have ever seen (it brings SD820 to knees) is unintuitive as hell with no difficulty. How is this even possible.
Also on a side note, go fuck yourself Snapchat. And if any of Snapchat devs are reading this: " go fucking kill yourself. You don't deserve to live after creating such a piece of shit. Even a fresh out of college intern does better job than you. You think this is good? I have never seen anything worse than it. Even fucking in-house government apps are miles better and more intuitive than you. All your ripoffs from Instagram stories to facebooks new clone and others are better than you. Whoever thinks this POS is good enough deserves to be burnt."5 -
I bypassed SSL certificate verification because that goddam certificate had some flags which my JVM did not understand and threw errors. Still in prod after 10+ years 🤐1

My Proudest creation of all time up till now,
i created a wpf control that binds to any Enum value and displays either a combo box (if the enum had a single value) or a collection of checkboxes (if the enum had a flags attribute)
So happy ^^

VB3.
In my last rant I mentioned I used to convert VB3 code to .Net. Before that, I used to work on the VB3 product itself. This software emulated something from the real world, and as such complied with a bunch of regulations that changed on a regular basis, and always had additions and removals that were to be done on a strict schedule (e.g. "we're adding a new product next month, so we have to be able to sell it by the first of the month"). As such, it was a huge sprawling mess.
One day, I was given a task to change some feature slightly. The task was simple enough and really only required adding one line of code. I added that line and clicked "Run".
Error: Too Much Code
What? What do you mean too much code? I asked a colleague for help. "Oh, don't worry, it happens when a function is too long. Just remove one or two of the comments and try again." The comments were, naturally, old deleted code that was quite meaningless so I had no qualms about removing some. It worked, and I went on with my life.
This started happening on a regular basis on our larger functions. But there were always comments to remove so it wasn't a big issue.
One day, though, it happened on a five-line function. This was puzzling - the error had always happened when a function was too big but this one clearly wasn't. What could the error mean? I went to the same colleague.
Apparently, there's also a limit to how big the entire code base can be. "Just find a function that isn't used any more and delete it." And so I did. There were many such functions, responsible for calculating things which no longer existed so they were never called. For months, I'd find functions and remove them. Until there weren't any more. I checked every function and subroutine in our codebase, and they were all used; I checked every possible code path and they were all needed.
What do I do now, I asked? The colleague, who was an expert on VB3 but worked on another project, came and take a look.
"Look at all these small functions you made! No wonder you're running out of space!" Apparently each function created a lot of overhead in the compiled executable. The solution was clear. Combine small functions into large monolithic ones, possibly passing flags in them to do completely unrelated things. Oh, and don't comment on the different parts because we have no room for comments in our code base.
Ah, the good old days.5 -
Don't just copy stuff from the internet and use it without knowing what it does.
If someone says to run rm -rf to save space, first search what rm does, and why you need the rf flags.
That will save you from a lot of problems.
I know a guy that does that, copy the first answer from SO, then runs it -.-3 -
This is one of my favorite lines of documentation 😁

I'm so sad today. I completely lost my confidences in what I do. I recently I created an app , spent 72 hours doing that , made the app as simple as possible, The intention is clear , to help those who are in need during this pandemic.
Recently my country have the campaign (initiate by the people) raising white flags for help (food, financial help). Since our government begin to arrest those who raise their flag for help and summoned them for MYR 3000 .
So I thought making a platform where people can raise their flag digitally might be easy, but I go rejected .
Well in Malaysia, No one give a fuck about you unless you are a celebrity . Sometimes I wish I am , therefore I do changes. But unfortunately I am just a 25 year old self taught software engineer but not someone with PHD or fame .

Red flags in your first week of your software engineering job 🚩
You do the first few days not speaking to anyone.
You can't get into the building and no one turns up until mid day.
The receptionist thinks you're too well dressed to work in this building, thinks you're a spy and calls security on you.
You are eating alone during lunch time in the cafeteria
You have bring your own material for making coffee for yourself
When you try to read the onboarding docs and there aren't any.
You have to write the onboarding docs.
You don't have team mates.

There's no computer for you, and not even an "it's delayed" excuse. They weren't expecting you.
Your are given a TI PC, because "that's all we have", even though there's no software for it, and it's not quite IBM compatible.
You don't have local admin rights on your computer.💀
You have to buy a laptop yourself to be able to do your job.
It's the end of the week and you still don't have your environment set up and running.
You look at the codebase and there are no automated tests.
You have to request access every time you need to install something through a company tool that looks like it was made in 2001.
Various tasks can only be performed by one single person and they are either out sick or on vacation.
You have to keep track of your time in 6 minute increments, assigned to projects you don't know, by project numbers everyone has memorised (and therefore aren't written down).
You have to fill in timesheets and it takes you 30 minutes each day to fill them in because the system is so clunky.🤮

Your second email is not a phishing test, but has similar information as the first one. (You ignore it.)
Your name is spelled wrong in every system, in a different way. 2 departments decide that it's too much trouble, and they never fix the spelling as long as you work there. One of them fixes it after you leave, and annoys you for a month because you haven't filled out the customer survey.5 -
Ok friends let's try to compile Flownet2 with Torch. It's made by NVIDIA themselves so there won't be any problem at all with dependencies right?????? /s
Let's use Deep Learning AMI with a K80 on AWS, totally updated and ready to go super great always works with everything else.
> CUDA error
> CuDNN version mismatch
> CUDA versions overwrite
> Library paths not updated ever
> Torch 0.4.1 doesn't work so have to go back to Torch 0.4
> Flownet doesn't compile, get bunch of CUDA errors piece of shit code
> online forums have lots of questions and 0 answers
> Decide to skip straight to vid2vid
> More cuda errors
> Can't compile the fucking 2d kernel
> Through some act of God reinstalling cuda and CuDNN, manage to finally compile Flownet2
> Try running
> "Kernel image" error
> excusemewhatthefuck.jpg
> Try without a label map because fuck it the instructions and flags they gave are basically guaranteed not to work, it's fucking Nvidia amirite
> Enormous fucking CUDA error and Torch error, makes no sense, online no one agrees and 0 answers again
> Try again but this time on a clean machine
> Still no go
> Last resort, use the docker image they themselves provided of flownet
> Same fucking error
> While in the process of debugging, realize my training image set is also bound to have bad results because "directly concatenating" images together as they claim in the paper actually has horrible results, and the network doesn't accept 6 channel input no matter what, so the only way to get around this is to make 2 images (3 * 2 = 6 quick maths)
> Fix my training data, fuck Nvidia dude who gave me wrong info
> Try again
> Same fucking errors
> Doesn't give nay helpful information, just spits out a bunch of fucking memory addresses and long function names from the CUDA core
> Try reinstalling and then making a basic torch network, works perfectly fine
> FINALLY.png
> Setup vid2vid and flownet again
> SAME FUCKING ERROR
> Try to build the entire network in tensorflow
> CUDA error
> CuDNN version mismatch
> Doesn't work with TF
> HAVE TO FUCKING DOWNGEADE DRIVERS TOO
> TF doesn't support latest cuda because no one in the ML community can be bothered to support anything other than their own machine
> After setting up everything again, realize have no space left on 75gb machine
> Try torch again, hoping that the entire change will fix things
At this point I'll leave a space so you can try to guess what happened next before seeing the result.
Ready?

> SAME FUCKING ERROR
In conclusion, NVIDIA is a fucking piece of shit that can't make their own libraries compatible with themselves, and can't be fucked to write instructions that actually work.
If anyone has vid2vid working or has gotten around the kernel image error for AWS K80s please throw me a lifeline, in exchange you can have my soul or what little is left of it5 -
I'm starting to think about not working for this potential client I met today.
He said he wants me to modify an open source software, I asked him what language it's written with, he replied "Open Source". He thinks Open source was a language.
He hasn't even given me the link of the repo, he was already telling me not to put bug in the project in a bid to always make him contact me for updates.
I asked him sarcastically, "Who does that? ".
He was also talking about me doing minor tweaks here and there if need be after I deliver.
Too many red flags for me. No contract and I'm not interested. I foresee it's going to go sour.
What do you guys feel?15 -
Saw this on HN recently and thought I'd share it here:
https://github.com/viraptor/...
It is a large collection of interview questions aimed at the company, to help you spot red flags or find things you'd like to have. Hope it's useful for you guys2 -
I swear I could sell my layout debugging to sports teams and colleges and cities stuff, they could use them as flags!

My first design work (in Adobe XD)
Design has never been my strong point (implementation or design) but am very interested in designing interfaces.
Don't hold your horses. Criticize this. I want to know what you think about this.

So my company hired this very old guy. The oldest developer I have worked with. I feel they took him just because of diversity.
Because he was absolutely incompetent.
Nothing he wrote ever worked, he got in conflict with everyone, made stupid jokes at meetings, asked the dumbest questions. His stories would hang for weeks, hopping sprint over sprint. Once he delivered something, his code had to be re-written from scratch. A code review couldn't even be applied as the code was worthless, so it just made sense to reassign his tasks to someone else and move on.
So after much drama he was let go. It was maybe two years ago and I recently connected with him on LinkedIn. He's changed four or more jobs since then. Prior to coming to our company he also job-hopped all the time (but most likely he was actually fired every time). His average job duration was like 6 months. Apart from that, he had a 20+ year stay with some government agency.
I fail to grasp how he ever gets hired anywhere with all the red flags. Over two decades with some govt agency (in my country they are all crap). Then change jobs every half an year or so. Then the asshole attitude. And finally, they probably never asked him any technical questions, because he knew nothing. Our interns who were just one month into the job were better by a WIDE margin.3 -
I accidentally created something adorable. See, what happened was I wanted to figure out how to programmatically create blobcats for different countries, since I’d done it by hand for every country represented at my company and wanted a quick way to catch up once we add people from different countries.
Enter Cloudinary!
Wrote a transform that would take the image, shrink it to 150 px wide, then add the blobcat emoji as the underlayer behind and above it, then add the little arms I drew die holding the flag on top.
And that worked! I had a folder of flags and the frontend could query them using the transformations and the country blobcats were born! I even added a preset so I could view the little blobcats with their flags when I looked at the uploaded flags
But then I’m like “Eh, each transform adds a thing against my limit and I really don’t want to go over if this gets popular (why do I ever think _that’s_ a possibility?). I know! I’ll just add the transform on upload and reupload all the flags to a different folder! Then I’ll just need to request the image instead of having to do the transform per request.
And that worked!
But I forgot I still had my preset transform on.
So in addition to the successful country blobcat, I had a preview of what I like to call papa blobcat with kitten blobcat.

You know what devRant is missing... Flags! Something like a national flag on the background, sticker on the notebook or some item on the desk. Just a thought7
-
Life cycle of code
1- See what sound code I have written! It's beautiful.
2 - Hey we missed something last time, just add this bit of tweak.
3 - We need to add some flags for some exception cases
4 - Hey there is a new requirement. Just add some more paths and more flags
5 - More flags!
6 - This shit runs now more on flags than on the design!
7 - Flagception!3 -
The feeling when random dudes downvote a question, because a guy who finally earned some points on SO dared to format the code with `<code>`<br> He pasted code, log, even explained a little bit and ~500 point guy even flags it like _unclear_ although there's clearly visible import error.
I mean... as an answerer or moderator, I'd be damn ashamed for such behavior! I have absolutely no problem kick a person with words + explanation in my answer or comment, so that (s)he remembers to ask better questions and feels bad about that, because nooby questions are already answered so many times there.
But to downvote because of formatting even if you have a permission to edit and a flag for low quality or because you can't read ~40 lines of log makes you just a retard and hurt the whole remaining community of guys like me who find time to sit there and answer questions to help another people.7 -
This is a story of me trying out maintaining a game server and eventually making a mistake, although I do not regret experiencing it.
A month ago I set up a small modded minecraft server because I wanted to experience a fun modpack together with some people from reddit. Besides this, I also wanted to see if I was capable of setting up a server with systemd and screen running in the background. This went great and I learned a lot.
The very next day I was playing with $annoyingKid on the server and everything was well. However the second day, $annoyingKid started pushing the idea to start up a normal minecraft server to build a playerbase.
I asked $annoyingKid 'What about financing, staff management and marketing?'
$annoyingKid: "I don't know much about that, but you can do that while I build a spawn!"
He also didn't want to reveal his age, which alerted me that he's young and inexperienced. He also considered Discord 'scary' because there were haxors and they would get his location and kidnap him, or something. So if he was supposed to become owner (which he desired), he had no way of communicating with a community outside of the game.
He also considered himself owner, while I was the one who paid for the server. 'Owners should be people who own the server', no matter how many times I told him that.
$annoyingKid also asked if he could install plugins on his own, I asked him if he knew anything about ssh, wget or bash because I used ssh to set up the server (I know rcon exists, but didn't want to deal with that at the time), he had no idea what any of those terms meant and he couldn't give proper arguments as to why he should get console access.
In the end, he did jack shit, he had no chance of becoming co-owner or even head-admin because he had no sense of responsibility or hard work. I kept him around as an admin because he was the one who came up with the idea. I banned him on day one after he started abusing his power when someone tipped him of. Even after me ordering him to ignore an annoying player he kept going, of course I could have prevented all this by kicking him earlier since all the red flags around him had already formed a beacon of light. He tried coming back, complaining that he should at least have his moderator rank back, but he never got in again.
A week later I got bored, I had had enough fun with ssh and the server processes to know that I didn't want to continue the small project, so I shut it down and went on to do stuff on GitHub.
Lesson learned: Don't let annoying kids with no sense of responsibility talk you into doing things you aren't sure you want to be doing. And only give people power after they've proved to you that they are capable of handling it.1 -
Teaching my homeschooled son about prime numbers, which of course means we need to also teach prime number determination in Python (his coding language of choice), when leads to a discussion of processing power, and a newly rented cloud server over at digital ocean, and a search of prime number search optimizations, questioning if python is the right language, more performance optimizations, crap, the metrics I added are slowing this down, so feature flags to toggle off the metrics, crap, I actually have a real job I need to get back to. Oooh, I'm up to prime numbers in two millions, and , oh, I really should run that ssh session in screen so it keeps running if I close my laptop. I could make this a service and let it run in the background. I bet there's a library for this. He's only 9. We've already talked about encryption and the need to find large prime numbers.2

and they wonder why so many companies fail

WTF chrome/google?! Fuck you & your new designs & features!!
Anyone else got forced new grouping for tabs after the update?! Hey, you can group tabs in.. I know, I just don't want to!! It's fugly and annoying and counterproductive..
It used to work to change flags to not have that 'feature' but I can no longer force the old layout for tabs even with flags.. :/ It's driving me nuts..

A client is like: Help! We got a 500 in our wordpress administration panel and there is no error in the log, it must be your infrastructure at fault!
So I calmly replied to them that wordpress handles its errors on its own, and without the appropriate debug flags enabled, doesn't log it anywhere. Even mentioned that a PHP app can change the error handler no problem, and linked them to both, PHP and Word press docummentation.
Didn't hear from them since.2 -
WTF is this shit? Multiply by 0 * Math.pow(2,0) upto Math.pow(2, 10).
Like why the fuck would you write that and not write a comment as to why that logic and explain everything else. Fucking fuck.
Turns out this logic is supposed to mimic the back end logic of breaking the flag value into binary and then set other flags depending on each bit. But why would you do that? I was starting to doubt if 0*n = 0.
This piece of code is inefficient, trying to be smartass, doesn't explain shit and doesn't have the only comment that mattered.

Pull-to-refresh in mobile web browsers is useless and annoying.
In mid-2019, the #disable-pull-to-refresh-effect option was removed from chrome://flags on Chrome for Android (version 76) for no apparent reason. The top answer in the Google product forum was to beg for this option to be reinstated through the browser's feedback form ( http://web.archive.org/web/... ). Needless to say, that has been futile.
Why is that a problem? The pull-to-refresh gesture not only is unnecessary due to the quickly accessible refresh button in the menu right next to the URL bar, but also causes unsolicited refreshes when quickly scrolling to the top of the page. This drains both the battery and the mobile data plan, in addition to adding an annoying delay.
I would like to use my web browser like a web browser, not a social media app. Besides, the Twitter web app has its own pull-to-refresh implementation in the notification feed.
Without pull-to-refresh, the user has the freedom to scroll up quickly without risking inadvertently reloading the page. If media was playing while an unwanted pull-to-refresh occurs, the user needs to seek for the last playing position, which could take upwards of a minute if the last position is unknown.
Imagine a desktop/laptop web browser reloading because you scroll against the top. Imagine you reach the top of the page but you have not stopped turning the scroll wheel yet, and then a white circle with a blue spinning refresh icon appears at the center top of the window and the page, and then you have to wait for the page to finish loading, and you also need to seek the last playing position of a video or audio track. Wouldn't that be ridiculous?
Any web browser vendor that enforces pull-to-refresh on its users basically begs users to seek an alternative.7 -
Today I had what might have been my worst job interview to date. It had many different technical, cultural, and business red flags. One that really stuck out to me was when I asked my interviewer why he loves his job, he went on about how great the benefits and events are. Not a single word about the work he does or his teammates. A younger me would have seen this as an opportunity to put in some hard work and contribute to something great. Older me knows to avoid this dumpster fire like the goddamn plague.6

Fucking apple & Mac OS..
So.. Before high sierra, you could create a USB using boot camp.
All good & dandy without too much fuss.
No longer. instead it automatically mounts & copies the os onto a apfs partition(?) and without as much as a mention or warning it just reboots immediately when it's done.
Srsly, not even a silly "hey, we need to reboot"..
Now, I could probably have gone to diskutil, formatted, set the boot flags and copied the files..
But rly, Nvm that.
Besides I might actually find some use in a windows install.
So needing to install windows to create an USB is acceptable.
But Bloody hell, it's been a while since I've been in this triggered from something..
T_T no warnings, just force reboot into windows. -
Regarding Article 13 (or 17 or wherever it moved to now)… Let's say that the UK politicians decide to be dicks and approve the law. After that, we need to get it engineered in, right? Let's talk a bit about how.. well, I'd maybe go over it. Been thinking about it a bit in the shower earlier, so.. yeah.
So, fancy image recognition or text recognition from articles scattered all over the internet, I think we can all agree.. that's infeasible. Even more so, during this lobby with GitHub and OpenForum Europe, guy from GitHub actually made a very valid point. Now for starters, copyright infringement isn't an issue on the platform GitHub that pretty much breathes collaboration. But in the case of I-Boot for example, that thing from Apple that got leaked earlier. If that would get preemptively blocked.. well there's no public source code for it to get compared against to begin with, right? So it's not just "scattered all over the internet, good luck crawling it", it's nowhere to be found *at all*.
So content filtering.. yeah. Nope, ain't gonna happen. Keep trying with that, EU politicians.
But let's say that I am a content creator who hates the cancer of joke/meme because more often than not it manifests itself as a clone of r/programmerhumor.. someone decides to freeboot my content. So I go out, look for it, find it. Facebook and the likes, make it easier to find it in the first place, you dicks. It's extremely hard to find your content there.
So Facebook implements a way to find that content a bit easier maybe. Me being the content creator finds it.. oh blimey! It can't be.. it's the king of freebooting on Facebook, SoFlo! Who would've thought?! So at that point.. I'd like to get it removed of course. Report it as copyright infringement? Of course. Again Facebook you dicks, don't make it so tedious to fill in that bloody report. And look into it quickly! The videos those SoFlo dicks post is only relevant in the first 48h or so. That's where they make the most money. So act more quickly.
So the report is filled, video's taken down.. what else? Maybe temporarily make them unable to post as a bit of a punishment so that they won't do it again? And put in a limit to the amount of reports they can receive. Finally, maybe reroute the revenue stream to the original content creator instead. That way stolen content suddenly becomes free exposure! Awesome!
*suddenly realizes that I've been talking about the YouTube copyright strike system all along*
… Well.. maybe something like that then? That shouldn't be too hard to implement, and on YouTube at least it seems to be quite effective. Just imagine SoFlo and the likes that are repeat offenders, every 3 posts they get their account and page shut down. Good luck growing an audience that way. And good luck making new accounts all the time to start with.. account verification technology is pretty good these days. Speaking of experience here, tried bypassing Facebook's signup hoops a fair bit and learned a bit about some of the things they have red flags on, hehe.
But yeah, something like that maybe for social media in general. And.. let's face it, the biggest one that would get hurt by something like this would be Facebook. And personally I think it's about time for that bastard company to get a couple of blows already.
What are your thoughts on this?5 -

Back in 2006 I built a custom CMS for golf membership/community to manage tournament listings and registrations along with club news and social calendars. In 2008 I migrated that to Drupal 6 and continued to grow the site from there. Come 2010 I was raising flags about moving to Drupal 7. No. 2011, I recommend the move. No. 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 ...no, no, no. 2016 they complain that the site is old and they want more "management" capability (they had tons a capability). The get sold by some wizbang company and the fancy dancy CMS. I have to hear how great it is bla bla bla. That is until they start to use it. Turns out, it's not a CMS by any stretch of the imagination. They need to know HTML and a page's content in a single blob field. And content can't be repurposed across the site. I now just sit back and laugh at their pain.3

This is a major part of my workflow, and I wanted people to see it. So I went an inch-deep on quicktime screen recording and ffmpeg flags to produce this low-quality gif.
I pop open the alfred text window with cmd-space, and have it set to use DDG as my default search provider fallback. In this way, I'm able to execute bang-searches without having to load any urls, or even move the pointer.
What kinds of productivity/workflow tricks do you use?

My first task in my current company, a few years ago.
I had to add features to a 10 year old microcontroller-based device written in C.
There was a struct named "global", which held hundreds of other structs that held variables or even more structs.
If one would have printed the structure of this mess it would haven needed several pages.
This "global"-struct was used in every single sourcefile to store and pass data around. Obviously there was no documentation and often useless comments.
Additionally there were a few protocol stacks involved, mainly similar, only differing in one or two protocol layers.
The implementation of the protocol stack was by setting flags in the "global"-struct in every protocol layer and having the application data in a buffer.
The complete telegram with all layer specific data (header, checksums, etc.) was then build at one single point right before sending it, based on the flags and the data buffer.
As there was no chance to reuse protocol layers with this implemenation. Three protocol implementations with special telegram builder existed in parallel, although they were nearly identical.
I needed a fourth variant of the protocol stack, so I had no chance but to make another copy with some minor changes.
But there was a benefit from this task.
As I had to do the software for the successor of this device from scratch I learned for many things how not to do them :-) -
Okay, sorry, I apologize to those to whom I claimed that properly asked Questions do not get downvoted on StackOverflow.

I just found a vulnerability in my companies software.
Anyone who can edit a specific config file could implant some SQL there, which would later be executed by another (unknowing) user from within the software.
The software in question is B2B and has a server-client model, but with the client directly connecting to the database for most operations - but what you can do should be regulated by the software. With this cute little exploit I managed to drop a table from my test environment - or worse: I could manipulate data, so when you realize it it's too late to simply restore a DB backup because there might have been small changes for who knows how long. If someone was to use this maliciously the damages could be easily several million Euros for some of our customers (think about a few hundred thousand orders per day being deleted/changed).
It could also potentially be used for data exfiltration by changing protection flags, though if we're talking industry espionage they would probably find other ways and exploit the OS or DB directly, given that this attack requires specific knowledge of the software. Also we don't promise to safely store your crabby patty recipe (or other super secret secrets).
The good thing is that an attack would only possible for someone with both write access to that file and insider knowledge (though that can be gained by user of the software fairly easily with some knowledge of SQL).
Well, so much for logging off early on Friday.5 -
Last job search was in mid 2020. I thought I had a pretty good offer: getting 40% more in gross salary. But then I asked some pretty standard/clarifying questions about benefits and all the red flags started coming out 🚩. They really used the pandemic to sell ppl short. TLDR I turned down the offer.
PTO was the dealbreaker. Their PTO was 16 days: 6 holidays plus 10 personal days. Even though any paid time off is PTO, I thought it was pretty gross to count holidays in the PTO bank like that. My friends agreed with me.
Yes, this is a US company.
Then shit hit the fan when I asked about sick days.
Me: What’s the policy on sick time?
Talent/HR: We have a flex time policy, so you don’t have to take time off for a one hour doctor’s appointment.
🤨🚩
I didn’t ask about flex time.
Me: The PTO is really low.
Talent: Well, you could use your sick days for vacation.
🤨🚩🚩
Me: I just asked you about sick time and you didn’t mention sick days. What are these sick days?
Talent: Oh, well technically the personal days are 5 sick days and 5 personal days… [I swear this is what I heard over the phone.]
🤨🚩🚩🚩
Me: 😤 This isn’t going to work.
Talent: I can see about getting you more PTO.
Talent comes back with 5 additional personal days. And it wouldn’t be included in my offer letter it would only be a note in my file. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
The gross thing was this startup was in the healthcare space: it’s a prescription meds delivery service/pharmacy. I know ppl say startups are the “throw money at you and go cheap on benefits” type. But how can you be in a healthcare space and not give ppl decent PTO? And during the pandemic and pre-vaccine existence? They were trying to con me. It was bizarre because it’s not my first job search. I was still employed so I wanted a new job but I wasn’t desperate.
I couldn’t see how anyone would accept that abysmal PTO offer. Maybe if they were really desperate or naive. I suspected this company had a big PTO disparity because I’m positive most employees would have negotiated for more time.
It was hard to turn down the money because I was afraid of not finding a job. Luckily, I did get an offer with really great benefits from a different company later on.4 -

The fun with the Slack continues (context: https://devrant.com/rants/5552410/...).
I got in touch with their support (VERY pleasant experience!). Turns out, even though I specify a `filetype` when uploading a file via Slack's API, Slack ignores it and still scans the payload and tries to determine its type itself. They say Slack needs to be absolutely certain that the file will be readable within Slack.
IDK about you, but that raises some flags for me. I again have that itch to password-zip all the files I'm sending over.
I've raised this concern to the support rep. Waiting for his comments.6 -

https://devops.com/dear-staging-wer...
What the F#*@&$# %#@$!?!?!
This person has decided to skip using staging, because it doesn't correctly reflect prod!
If that's your problem, than why don't you try to fix it? Create a DB with fake data, make one based on anonymised customer data, or even do it on non-anonymised data (with permission of course), but fix the staging env so that it reflects prod!
This is a devops site (it's literally the name!), and instead of teaching you how to make staging exactly like prod, they tell you to do what caused the creation of the staging->prod system IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
There's all these stuff like Vagrant that are literally designed to help you as a dev mimic prod, and you just throw it all out!?

Well, I really have nothing to rant about these days 😅
What I do have is a request for feedback on a project’s video, m working on the project and will release it open source once it works decently well, and most of all, when the code doesn’t look so atrociously bad 😅😅
It is basically a C/C++ package and project manager.
It can create, build, and run projects which u make, and add library flags and include directories automatically if that library exists in its package list.
It also contains package (=library) manager which can, as of now, install, uninstall, and fetch info of any package should it exist in the package list.
I will be adding package upgrading in the future, although package list updates can be performed.
Also, right now it can only build binary projects. I’ll soon be working to enable creation of library ( static/dynamic ) projects as well.
Finally, it allows for building of packages using CMake or configure, but uses a custom format to build projects.
Here is a video of building a project and installing libcurl on system:
https://asciinema.org/a/155030
Thanks a lot ☺️😊1 -
I was genuinely baffled by this until I read up more on regex flags and realised that this is the intended behaviour😂

Worst "hackathon" turned out to be the boss (scrum master type) and a Magento guy (super OCD) working on a tiny tiny adjustment to a email template. They didn't really do anything and expected me to just make it all way better with CSS alone. I built out a robust responsive email in a codepen for them. They acted like they couldn't trust me to be a part of the team because I wasn't contributing - but I wasn't even sure what was happening. Between gathering refreshments and patting themselves on the back... it was hard to see what they had done. The online presentation to the magento people was pretty funny to watch though. If you think you can't have a presentation about nothing - think again. Magento is totally fucked. The word 'hacking' is not really suited to describe 'programming websites/applications quickly' anyway. 'Ninja' and 'hack' should always be considered red flags. 'Magento' should be a triple red flag: Jerk-off Jesus-complex boss, self-centered out of touch programmers, crap product. Watch out!1

after few months of working in the company, I was offered to trade off my weekends in exchange for increase of salary. I said hell no, I would go crazy.
winter holidays we had removed... thankfully for money increase.
all next holidays were often just removed... without money increase.
next week is going to be official week of holidays. all in our country are going to have paid days off / vacation. It was declared by our president. 2 days of holidays were extended to 5 due to COVID break.
I wonder, how hard it would be for us to get those days as vacation %
we would have to ask for VACATION days in OFFICIAL HOLIDAY DAYS!. Hell, we had never had real vacation yet, and we are just wishing to have official holiday days remaining being holidays.
Urgh. I understand that I get pretty good salary for my first work, but still wishing quite a lot for holidays, should I press for it? *sigh*
on another hand I don't really want salary decrease, which can come if I would press for it *sad face*.7 -
So Google apparently removed the most important Chrome feature:
"Toolbar auto-hide in fullscreen"
This change came with the new UI recently and there are no #flags around to fix it
Previously the chrome browser was easy to use as a multi-tasking machine, but now it feels really dumb.
This resulted in a loss of 15% of screen-real estate.
Please give me back my choice4 -
I hate the idea of dog whistles.
For those who do not know what I am talking about: A dog whistle, next to being a physical object you blow in that makes a sound dogs can hear, but is too high in frequency for most humans to hear, can also refer to a hidden sign for a group or ideology that is supposed to be only known by its members.
Here, in Germany, we usually use it for Nazi groups. Hey, 88 is a dog whistle for Nazis, because, the 8th letter in the alphabet is the 'H', and 'HH' stands for Heil Hitler. Alright, got it.
But how the fuck am I supposed to know it? I am not a member of those groups. Well, other people, who look at them tell closely, told me. In a way, you want me to keep up with them, so I can know the newest dog whistles to avoid them?
Another famous one is the attempt to claim the okay sign is a symbol for white power. But here I stand and say, no. I was making this sign all along. I did not signal white power. I was signalling that everything is okay.
And isn't that racist in the first place. Black people cannot swim stereotype. And then they choose the white power signal from diver's sign language? Because they knew, no black person was a diver? Don't mind me, I am just taking the piss.
Then there was Elon Musk. I don't like Elon, I think he's an idiot. I also think that he made it possible for lots of tax money to flow into SpaceX and pay really smart people to work on rockets, which I like. Somehow, in a modern world, we have to do that instead of just funding NASA. Anyway, he is accused of doing a Nazi salute.
But if that was a Nazi salute, that was the sloppiest Nazi salute ever. It was akin to a dog whistle to a Nazi salute. Every proper Nazi should tell him how embarrassing his salute was. But instead, the Overton window on a Nazi salute widens.
We should make fun of him not being capable of doing it right. He would then obviously publicly state he is no Nazi. And some Nazis will believe them.
Ever wondered why in war some national leaders will tout obvious lies? That's because, often due to an information bubble, sometimes because of confirmation bias, many will believe them. If they said the truth, every single one listening would know the truth. If they lied, there is a substantial part of the population ill-informed or invested enough who wants to believe them. And if that's a preferable state, a leader will lie.
Why do we assume that dog whistles are just something we don't understand, but somehow, without writing publicly available guides or news broadcast spelling it out, the subgroup that uses that dog whistle, perfectly understands its meaning.
Recently AfD, German right wing party, had a party conference, and the number and position of the flags on stage was somehow aligned with the number of... what was it... SS branches or something in the third reich? Come one, you're reaching now. You tell me that right wingers are so well informed history buffs that they would ace any history exam about it and equate every subliminal message?
I probably had a dozen dog whistles in this text that I don't know of. Do you know how those groups actually learn about their own dog whistles? Standard media tells them that is their groups dog whistle and they copy it. Copy cat. Funny side note, that's how satanism actually started. Copy cats from stories from the church. They tried to scare people about those evildoers. At least that's one popular hypothesis. Aleister Crowley, not Church of Satan satanism.
Anyway, I hate dog whistles. We commit them constantly, we cannot avoid it and it incriminates everyone. It keeps broadening the definition of every forbidden/frowned upon action. It's shit. If you argue dog whistle, I think you're a moron.36 -
The last two years of degree have really opened my eyes on how studlpid and difficult people can be. I genuinely think that the next time a teacher tries to pull a stunt or fucks something up for us I'll go full ballistic on them. Still have one year to go. God help me.2

finished them with about 2 mins left =]2 -

SOME OF THE TIME YOU POINT TO A WHERE THE FILE CAN BE FOUND PRECISELY
SOME OF THE TIME THEY WANT THE FULL FILEPATH !

Had to turn down a job offer today because of a BUNCH of red flags in their hiring process that hinted that their corporate culture was absolute trash. HR people are trash when they do whatever they want to with your time just because you’re in need. If they had been more ethical and professional, I’d have a job and they’d have a position filled. But, no, they had to play stupid games and win stupid prizes.2

Stop commenting out code blocks!
Either fix your shit or delete it.
I am open to argue what fixing may mean, as it is perfectly fine to make your broken code not reachable, e.g. via feature flags or skipping certain tests. Yet never ever should you comment those blocks!
So you say you want to keep it for historic reasons? You know, that is why we use version control! If you ever need certain functionality back, you can restore that state.
Each decent IDE also offers a local history where you can even restore code blocks that weren't even pushed or committed. So use that!
Commenting out test cases is a really bad habit, as you have no reminder that you shall restore it.
And no, a TODO and a FIXME won't count as a reminder as you have to actively look for them. And we all know how well that goes, don't we? (One time, I found a typo of a `TDO`. So even with a regular lookup for TODO, stuff will slip.)
Each test suite offers you ways to skip tests if there are valid reasons why they should not fail the build temporary and they offer colorful feedback. Yes, that means that your tests won't be green, but guess what: That's a feature! They shouldn't be.
That yellow is a fine reminder, aka warning!, that you should really fix your shit.
Commented code screams: "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING!" and it confuses the hell out of other developers ("Was this commented because of debugging purposes and should be active again or can I safely delete this!?") and adds verbose crap to the code base.
If you find yourself to be in a place that you comment code a lot, I also argue that your workflow is broken.
When you are using a decent debugger, there shouldn't that much of a need to comment in and out a lot of code in order to reason about your code-base.3 -
I got so many concerns/questions about the EU chat control and the future. Sorry for my long rant lol:
1) What about projects that are on life support and no active development?
2) What about chat application in video games or the chat service on the website of a local shop
3) What about false flags? Like that parent who got into legal trouble for sharing a picture of his kid with a doctor to get a medical opinion on some skin condition. (might misremember the details)
4) What about false flags like instagram banning accounts and forwarding it to the police department and over-exhausting the resources of the police (accidental 'DDOS' of their personel)
5) What if the content shared in country A is legally OK but not in country B. What if you then travel there? Or if your participant is from that country B.
6) What about content that is taboo but should be OK to discussed? Like puberty or hormonal discussions online? Some subreddits like "stopsmoking" is now also regional banned by Reddit in the UK to avoid any unneeded risks. That is bad. YouTube had some problem where adult content existed on their platform but labeled as educational.
7) What if you encrypt messages before sending it. Will you be banned just in case? What if you need support with an app and you send an encrypted application crash log that came from your computer, will you now be banned just in case?
8) What if you like privacy and have those apps for innocent purposes. Is having those apps now illegal
9) What if criminals use apps from Asia or Africa or somewhere where this law is not present/enforced. Or what if they create a simple app with this encryption. It is not difficult to make one.
10) Before 2001, airport security was very lax but then 9/11 happened and the security increased. It never went back to the state before. Since they have or will have this check, what will them stop it from expanding it after the next disaster of an unrelated accident (like terrorist attack).
11) What if those services miss a case? Will the company that allows this to be send now have legal trouble?
12) What if users are using metaphors or practice self-censorship to avoid flagged words? We see it with monetization in social media (like murder or killing is replaced with "unaliving")
13) It will be just an other problem to start a new company with limited budget. So start-ups will just have a bit harder time to break into the market.
14) this might just push users away from mainstream options
15) it's just an other attack vector for hackers to use
16) Do we want to have private companies be able to scan our messages because they are contracted by the government? They can have their own bias to satisfy their shareholders. What if they are invested by the Big Oil so critic towards the Big Oil is altered? How certain can you be this won't happen now or in the future. Reddit Admin did that before so who knows at this point.
17) Anonymity will disappear.
18) Different companies verify users and store this data so this seems like a major cyberrisk and identity theft waiting to happen
19) fragmentation of users. it is now annoying that some family or friends don't use whatsapp but use telegram and the other way around. You might need +5 chat application to keep contact and lose social relationships.
20) Is AI detected messages even legal proof in court?
21) What if you talk about video games and flag the AI system this way? Or use abbreviation from a niche community that also overlaps with flagged words (like checkpoint being abbreviated as CP) or just the language with poor support or use a 'dialect' in your chat that trips up the software.
22) What if your phone is stolen and they send those messages in your name or this is done remotely.
23) What if you are sharing old family pictures and there is 1 and only 1 odd picture that just barely trips up the system.
24) Games like 'Beyond human' also has gameplay that hurts a fictional child which fits the storyline and acts as shock value. Will this be banned
25) The newer population will see this as normal so what will they find acceptable if they can now vote7 -
I guess I should relate what work experience I have: my internship.
A little backstory I suppose. It's required at my school to do an internship to graduate except under certain circumstances. They encourage work experience a lot where I study. It was around time for me to apply for internships. However, the closest I got was a phone call with Amazon that I biffed when they started asking about stuff like sorting algorithms and other Big O notation stuff. So I was pretty desperate. I found a small company that were looking for internships and got an interview with them. The pay was dirt (I made more as a crew trainer at McDonalds) but I needed that internship and they were only 10 minutes away.
Immediate red flags when I showed up to the address. At first I thought I was wrong, But I noticed the sign of the company pointing up some stairs that were installed on the side of the house I was in front of.
Interview was a bit weird. It was with the CEO and the marketing manager. Again red flags. I show up for work a week later.
Turns out, they have no full time developers. 1st day was getting my workstation ready and 2nd day I was running Ethernet cables to the basement where the phones were connected. Spent around a week doing that.
This was supposed to be a Software Engineering internship?? Excuse me?? I came here to learn how working on Software is supposed to be like! I was also their "tech support" both for their computers and their crappy software that was built 16 years ago that people still pay for that I had NO idea how it worked because I just started and NOBODY taught me anything! To make matters worse, even if I wanted to delve into the code to see how it works it was all made in ancient Perl which didn't make things any easier.
But I needed that internship to graduate. And thus begun my 9 months with them and boy howdy I have stories to tell. Stay tuned in the future.3 -
In some comments on a rant I saw @bahua wrote this:
>Red flags in the interview process are >the biggest risk signals I know, and I >take them very seriously. #1 red flag: >they want to know your >previous/current salary. If they won't >bend on that, then I end the >conversation.
Seems quite interesting, can anybody list more such "red flags" and maybe ellaborate a bit and give a few anecdotes?
(sorry, @bahua, if you dont wanna be quoted. just tell me if so)6 -
What's your experience with continuous delivery? On every push to the master, the complete current codebase goes to production.
Of course not visible to all the users, but hidden behind feature flags.4 -
I was tinkering around with my linux installation and trying to decide on a new terminal to use, and I ended up compiling st (suckless terminal). On a whim, I decided to look through the source code and see how much of it I would understand.
There was a C header file called arg.h that uses the preprocessor and macros to parse argument flags and songs by setting up a switch statement in a loop, all in under 50 LoC. To use it, just wrap the switch body between ARGBEGIN and ARGEND, and that's it. The comment at the top simply read "copy me if you can", a challenge to future programmers such as myself.
It was the most beautiful, elegant solution I have ever seen. I tried to tell my girlfriend about it, but she just didn't get it. Maybe some of you will appreciate it more:

Debugging a task, that's sending emails to too many customers.
Supervisor: "Never mind, just test in production, there is a dry run flag for the tasks."
Just in case I test locally...
Flags tried:
--dryrun="TRUE" => Error, failed to send mail.
--dryrun=TRUE => Error, failed to send mail.
--dryrun="true" => Not trying to send mail.
If it's THIS PICKY a little more documentation would be nice.
And by a little more I mean: more than the task base class in a giant php monstrosity without phpdocs expecting its code to be self-documenting. -
So i ranted about how bad the snapchat app was in terms of design and performance a few days ago here and at a couple of other places and the general conscience was that I should use it for a few days and i would like it.
Well, here's what i have to say. IT STILL SUCKS!
I tried to use it every day to keep up with what others are doing and sometimes try to post but i really don't like his bad the app is. It doesn't make me want to use it. Its a battery hog. It fucking drinks through my battery like nobody's business. The v10 update made it a bit better but it still sucks.
I still don't like the UX design but I have come to hate it less. It still sucks though.
I still don't like that there isn't a proper way to discover people. The "discover" tab is just paid advertisement.5 -

I've decided to switch my engine from OpenGL to Vulkan and my god damn brain hurts
Loader -> Instance -> Physical Devices -> Logical Device (Layers | Features | Extensions) | Queue Family (Count | Flags) -> Queues | Command Pools -> Command Buffers
Of course each queue family only supports some commands (graphics, compute, transfer, etc.) and everything is asynchronous so it needs explicit synchronization (both on the cpu and with gpu semaphores) too4 -
WHITEPAPERS.
Not exactly a programming problem, but one of my many task (as i am apparently a multi headed hydra) is it to find Software for tasks. I made the experience, as more marketing experts are on it, and as more SEO is poured in as more information about a topic degrade.
Two examples:
i wanted to find out if there is anything that speaks AGAINST "the cloud" as a concept for Data Procesessing and Storage. (Beside that the company internet connection is crap). There are tons of documents that in a semi "scientific" way show that having a data centre with a constant staff of experts is superios to everything. And it goes on, every company has a different version of basically the same document, and they all subtley show that THIS company is the best.
Example 2:
ERP Software, the most infested pool of filth i have entered yet, be it just a tiny CRM System or a full blown SAP clone, they all have those "Whitepapers" that first look somewhat scientific or informative. Like "the top8 common pitfalls when introducing an ERP system". 7 of them read logically and were what i expected, the 8th was "dont get your IT involved".
Yeah sure, IT doesnt understand economical processes, fair enough, but not getting it involved at all sounds like selfdefense. A further look showed me that this particular vendor has a web-based solution but doesnt provide any further informations (srsly, the website is starved of actual hard informations). The screenshots let the software look a bit oldschool but what really threw red flags for me was the sentence "we are ready for Win10, we did significant adjustment to perform excellent with Windows 10"
So, either they have some system interwoven stuff (so why bother with Webbase then?) or its just another marketing bullshit sentence.
Either way, i found it to be really hard to get ANY reliable information about this particular topic which adds to the overall world experience of missinformations and the all-being "fakenews". But for many things one can usually filter through a lot of different informations that can be pieced together, with this..its all outright propaganda camouflaged as "useful information", some even try to let it look scientific. In the end its all biased..
ultimativly, this rant is about all the people that write those missleading whitepapers, fill the world with biased informations and make the whole planet a worse place.2 -
Google c'mon.
It's time to release backdrop-filters. Please. Pretty please.
You already support the feature (although a little glitchy) with experimental flags enabled. Can't you finish it? Is it that difficult with your so very limited personal and budget (sarcasm)? At least that could be an excuse for Firefox. -
Folks, it's happening!
Look at this shit: they managed to create a web editor / infrastructure technology which enables you to write backends blazingly fast. No deploy time, no git (versioning with feature flags).
Sadly, this comes with the worst vendor lock-in ever. But it is still a great idea to take the approach to drastically remove complexity out of today's software.

I am torn. But I would prefer if it was OSS of course (to be able to self-host it).7 -
One of our products has so many obscure debugging flags settable via cookie I wrote my first Chrome extension to manage them.2

I thought I posted about this awhile back but I didn't. I'm glad since the story is so much better now.
6 weeks ago: Told I'm going to be on a super fun JAMStack build with lots of sexy animations. Sweet, this will be a fun build!
5 weeks ago: Find out what the timeline on this incredibly ambitious project is. I start raising flags cause everything needs to go PERFECT for this to not blow up and/or turn in to a dumpster fire.
4 weeks ago: Project "kicks off" with a meeting with the client. We find out that they've decided to do another round of revisions on their design comps, but we have what we need for sprint 1. We provide a list of all the assets/information we still need for sprint 1 success.
3 weeks ago: Still waiting on some assets for sprint one, but we're fumbling our way through. Still waiting on the PM to get around to doing their PM job and building out our backlog / gathering requirements for us.
2 weeks ago: Sprint 1's end date comes and goes. Still need assets from the client, I've personally asked them for the same asset 3 different times. Sprint 1 gets extended 1 week.
1 week ago: We deliver sprint 1 page templates, minus the resources we're still waiting for. Get chewed out by the client regarding the pages not looking like their comps (Yeah, no shit sherlock, you never sent us the assets)
This week: Working on Sprint 2 commitments. We have 2x as many page templates to deliver, per developer, as we had the first sprint. Still waiting on Sprint 1 assets. Don't have Sprint 2 assets. Wait, what about the global styles? They still haven't sent those to us yet either.
Requirements? Guess I'll spend valuable dev time tracking those down for myself.
Client? Well, they're pissed off we haven't hit our commitments yet.
Oh well, at least we have a pimple faced, fresh out of college, CS major, with no real development experience rolling on to this cesspool of a project.
Other devs? Well, we're out of fucks to give. Lets just watch this thing burn.
Oh, I forgot to add, we have 17 page templates to deliever between today (2/27) and 3/18. #NoFuckingWay -
I started working at a new company a couple of weeks ago as a Dev/Ops engineer, my first real ops position after years of being mostly a dev with two sys-admin positions sprinkled in.
I should have seen the red warning signs when, during the interview, a developer told me the old devops team was so bad they fired all of them last year. After I started, I learned that all four people on our team were totally new. Three were hired after the last guy from the old team left (without any notice) and one person use to be a developer who was transferred over to this new team (but not to lead it).1 -
There is this work from home job, where they recruited me in one day, want a client project ready by next night. Asked for offer letter many times, but not recieved till now. Too many red flags? Or is it just me?8

Okay new Rant
INSERT TRIGGER WARNING HERE
OSX still sucks I have been using the bloody darn thing for last 8 months still I found things that are obnoxiously trivial missing.
Latest incident I was trying to plug in my android phone(soft bricked) in recovery mode and I had to push a file with ADB (i save this mutherfuker for another day). So back to the original topic now I plug it in and but turns out it doesn't recognize my device now as a preliminary check I decide to check my USB cable and my DONGLE both seem to be working fine now I try rebooting back into recovery. Now after scrapping the internet for a few hours I find that this problem is caused because sometimes due to a recurrent bug in OSX the operating system sometimes fails to recognize the difference in between directories "Adam"(just an example) and "adam" which in turn can interfere with some of the flags used while checking if a device might be connected.
I mean this is fucked why the fuck can you not simply use your device as an external storage that would have made the process easier by a fucking lot.
I think the people at Apple are going the destroy a UNIX powerhouse just to make their OS more CUPCAKE friendly.
And all of this is in addition to the problems with AFS.
I just wish I had not bought mac for development5 -
I have no specific story to tell (for now. Will post ke if i remember one) but i have had tons of CS teachers that are shit. From ones who don't know shit to ones who are so bad as a human being i am sure thrte are hundreds of people out there to kill them. I have had multiple teachers where all they did was read out a book and we'd have o site everything they read. Whole fucking semester. And not just one person or once. M-U-L-T-I-P-L-E TIMES AND TEACHERS. then I ve had ones who would rejection my code even if it's better, is right, can andle more edge cases, most likely magnitfrs of times faster and isn an eye sore with just effig if-else on op of if-else nested within if-else with many for loops. Then there are those who want you to do just what they want and expect you to not have a life of your own. Those who blatantly abuse their powers. Those who couldn't care less. Those who are not that bad a teacher but their attitude and style just makes you want to leave. There's one currently who wants a group of 4 people in second year to develop a full blown industry level application in mere 3 weeks. AND WE ARE HAVING OUR THEORY PAPRRS INBETWEEN FOR 2 EFFING WEEKS. So that's just like a month. Fortunately I have a group that's good enough that I can have them do the testing and filling up the documentation (did I mention that he needs full documentatiin for software plus a report on how our development process) and have them work on presentation (yup. We need to present this thing) all for just 50 marks. 1 uni credit. Our system still gives 80% weightage to pure theory. Plus the practical part is somewhat theory too.
Our HOD wants us *insists*forces** to stay back at college and work on projects (which is nice but what he ments is use the shitty outdated books from early 2000s to study something). Now I'd be happy to stay back if college provided decent internet (I am not asking for gigabit speeds. Even 1-2Mbps would work) and place to sit. But nope, our college non-teaching staff is eager to send us out of their department and by extention college building. There is literally nowhere you can sit. Plus yup, there is no internet and nowhere for you to plug your laptop in. That's a moot point anyway because they don't want you to use your laptop in college library or anywhere anyways. Plus you don't get much of mobile data too because of the building design. Those work only near windows. Why would I be at college if I can get a 50+Mbps down, area to sit, snacks, port to charge all at home. And you'd say we should talk with him about this – well it's not his issue is all he has to say.
Well, such is life in Indian colleges. And my college/uni is one of the better ones.1 -
Updates occasionally do more harm than good.
In 2019, people got massively ripped off by a Google Chrome Android update.
They removed two essential features: First, the ability to deactivate pull-to-refresh. When I scrolled up and accidentally refreshed a page, I thought "Didn't I disable this s**t? No big deal, let's go to chrome://flags and… oh wait, where is it? Oh no, they wouldn't remove such an important thing, would they?".
Second, they got rid of the list view for tabs, which showed both page title and URL. Grid view only shows the title, there is only half the space for each title due to two tabs per row (four in horizontal view), and there are fewer items at once on screen.
This significantly damaged my trust in updates. Whenever I update, I expect everything that worked before to still work. The sad reality is that each update brings the risk of something being broken or taken away.

Started by working on centOS to make it work on my PC. At first it was just look on the internet and change values, then i found this great thing called manuals and documentation.

Up until now, I never had any breaking updates on Linux on my laptop, Except for Nvidia drivers stopping. It would switch to noveau. Even my cobbled together hack of Broadcom Bluetooth solution worked without even having to touch it. Well, I still don't have problems with core Linux but add gnome to the issue mix today. Surprisingly, Nvidia drivers for the first time Nvidia drivers upgraded (to 340) and I didn't had to do anything for it to work. Gnome deprecated synaptics driver support and now uses libinput implementation for it. Well Ubuntu Gnome updater won't clean the configuration and I had to remove the driver and clean config myself. Nothing too much, i have to deal with these stuff on my arch installation but Ubuntu has been "it works fine. No need to interfere" thing for me. It works fine on Wayland (it always used libinput on Wayland a if I am correct) but nvidia drivers doesn't support Wayland. And then since the update gnome has been disabling some of my extensions at random. All on X. I have no problems with Wayland except for Nvidia fucking drivers. All that said, its still better than windows where I lost fucking network connectivity during something important. And the trackpad drivers on Linux are somehow much better than anything I have used on windows. (that or Sony made fucking great trackpads and nobody noticed). Here's to hoping Nvidia starts supporting drawing on Wayland and I can ditch X completely. I have seen visible improvements in performance under load and slight decrease in battery usage with Wayland.6

From a little bit heated discussion I want to extract this: One big pain in the ass is the human to computer interface. Maybe it's the natural vs. formal language divide, but there's a mismatch deeper than between object and relational models that no ORM can failingly fix.
The whole point of the discussion was on such a point where some wanted an interface more human friendly and I stubbornly insisted on the way it is simple for the computer system. Like not too much human messiness should invade machine. One argument sounded as if human words were like unicode code points which meaning doesn't depend on its representation.
That's raising red flags to me: Nonono, natural language is too messy, keep it out. This poor machine could have been so clean and well designed and we already stacked up so much entropy we still dare to call OS,..
Dunno, what's your stance? Still hoping that your shell one day will be able to process our poor standard English? Or do you think, like me, all those failed attempts show there's a gap you should not even touch?5 -
So my Windows installation is getting the creators update. Let's see if it even installs. Stuck on here for about half hour.

I'm not sure if this is a red flag but it appears to me it is, as I have seen it occur more frequently by self-interested employers:
When you don't respond to their inquiry and they keep prodding you about it, even weeks after it.2 -
Self learned. I was introduced to programming quite early courtesy my dad who pushed me to use Linux. At first I learned basics, enough to tinker with stuff. Then I met python. It changed my world. Now I know C, C++, JS, PHP, Obj-C fluent enough and am working on others. But python will always have a sweet spot in my heart. Also, I think python 3 is a good improvement over 2. Not perfect. But good enough and it still has a future.
Working on SQL and Java -
I've mentioned this before, but I never really understood bit flags until I tried out Cocos 2D and read about how you implement hit detection. You identify different rendered objects with an enum value, and it would spit out a result every frame that you use bitwise logic on with the enum to determine which objects were touching. Such a simple and elegant way to represent combined state.
It may be elementary for some folks but I was not a CS major.1 -
Filthy Pollo: import {globalStore} from '../main.js'
Filthy Pollo: is that unstandard javascript?
Filthy Pollo: it makes me think it's from webpack
Filthy Pollo: unforgiving...
Ron Chi: i wont answer these questions again
Ron Chi: i already told u chrome supports imports its been a few months
Ron Chi: modules are evaled once, so if u have some state living in ur module if u reimport it ull just get that same state
Ron Chi: myModule.js - const myShit = { 'a': 'eh?' }; export { myShit };
Filthy Pollo: https://i.imgur.com/1X4Taik.png
Filthy Pollo: gg
Ron Chi: index.js - import { myShit } from './myModule.js'
Filthy Pollo: import and export are unexcepted token
Ron Chi: import needs to be used at the top of a file, before any other code
Filthy Pollo: https://i.imgur.com/myrrIMx.png
Filthy Pollo: Im going to assume import and export aren't supported in the browser
Ron Chi: because ur squigly line in ur editor?
Filthy Pollo: This feature is only implemented natively in Safari and Chrome at this time. It is implemented in many transpilers, such as the Traceur Compiler, Babel or Rollup.
Ron Chi: https://github.com/paulirish/...
Ron Chi: actually i dont think its handled properly by babel, webpack handles it
Filthy Pollo: what the fuck why use import and export that wont work in other browsers like firefox, edge, etc. ?
Ron Chi: because other browsers are slow
Ron Chi: its still standard
Filthy Pollo: your answer is not really professional
Ron Chi: ?
Ron Chi: why because its my fault that other browsers are still working on it
Ron Chi: they fought over implementation details forever, than it has to be implemented properly before shipping it
Filthy Pollo: Im blaming the people who are still using export and import in the browsers
Ron Chi: u wont be using modules without transpiling without some limited market for a couple years, otherwise ull still be using rollup / system.js / webpack
Filthy Pollo: obviously webpack
Ron Chi: thats up to you, it seems the google ppl use rollup
Ron Chi: but most of the community chose webpack
Ron Chi: angular 2 uses system.js internally i think
Filthy Pollo: Firefox 54 – behind the dom.moduleScripts.enabled setting in about:config.
Edge 15 – behind the Experimental JavaScript Features setting in about:flags.

Filthy Pollo: the developers who use experimental features are weirdos as hell
Filthy Pollo: the joke is when they use experimental feature for production and force them to download chrome

Top 12 C# Programming Tips & Tricks
Programming can be described as the process which leads a computing problem from its original formulation, to an executable computer program. This process involves activities such as developing understanding, analysis, generating algorithms, verification of essentials of algorithms - including their accuracy and resources utilization - and coding of algorithms in the proposed programming language. The source code can be written in one or more programming languages. The purpose of programming is to find a series of instructions that can automate solving of specific problems, or performing a particular task. Programming needs competence in various subjects including formal logic, understanding the application, and specialized algorithms.
1. Write Unit Test for Non-Public Methods
Many developers do not write unit test methods for non-public assemblies. This is because they are invisible to the test project. C# enables one to enhance visibility between the assembly internals and other assemblies. The trick is to include //Make the internals visible to the test assembly [assembly: InternalsVisibleTo("MyTestAssembly")] in the AssemblyInfo.cs file.
2. Tuples
Many developers build a POCO class in order to return multiple values from a method. Tuples are initiated in .NET Framework 4.0.
3. Do not bother with Temporary Collections, Use Yield instead
A temporary list that holds salvaged and returned items may be created when developers want to pick items from a collection.
In order to prevent the temporary collection from being used, developers can use yield. Yield gives out results according to the result set enumeration.
Developers also have the option of using LINQ.
4. Making a retirement announcement
Developers who own re-distributable components and probably want to detract a method in the near future, can embellish it with the outdated feature to connect it with the clients
[Obsolete("This method will be deprecated soon. You could use XYZ alternatively.")]
Upon compilation, a client gets a warning upon with the message. To fail a client build that is using the detracted method, pass the additional Boolean parameter as True.
[Obsolete("This method is deprecated. You could use XYZ alternatively.", true)]
5. Deferred Execution While Writing LINQ Queries
When a LINQ query is written in .NET, it can only perform the query when the LINQ result is approached. The occurrence of LINQ is known as deferred execution. Developers should understand that in every result set approach, the query gets executed over and over. In order to prevent a repetition of the execution, change the LINQ result to List after execution. Below is an example
public void MyComponentLegacyMethod(List<int> masterCollection)
6. Explicit keyword conversions for business entities
Utilize the explicit keyword to describe the alteration of one business entity to another. The alteration method is conjured once the alteration is applied in code
7. Absorbing the Exact Stack Trace
In the catch block of a C# program, if an exception is thrown as shown below and probably a fault has occurred in the method ConnectDatabase, the thrown exception stack trace only indicates the fault has happened in the method RunDataOperation
8. Enum Flags Attribute
Using flags attribute to decorate the enum in C# enables it as bit fields. This enables developers to collect the enum values. One can use the following C# code.
he output for this code will be “BlackMamba, CottonMouth, Wiper”. When the flags attribute is removed, the output will remain 14.
9. Implementing the Base Type for a Generic Type
When developers want to enforce the generic type provided in a generic class such that it will be able to inherit from a particular interface
10. Using Property as IEnumerable doesn’t make it Read-only
When an IEnumerable property gets exposed in a created class
This code modifies the list and gives it a new name. In order to avoid this, add AsReadOnly as opposed to AsEnumerable.
11. Data Type Conversion
More often than not, developers have to alter data types for different reasons. For example, converting a set value decimal variable to an int or Integer

Any advice on how to deal with gatekeeping developers? How to deal with red tape?
I work with people that are resistant to code and process change. Continuous pedantic pushback on nearly anything; one raised a fuss over metrics not being satisfactory at a 5% threshold for alerting stating that 4.99% metrics variance wouldn't trigger an alert.
It's genuinely as though my coworkers are all scared of code based on the way they behave. They don't seem to code very often either.
I'm someone that codes quickly but I have to constantly write proposals for quite literally any change to the codebase. Even IF there were issues we could always rollback (and even then we have metrics, alerts, canary rollouts, feature flags, etc etc). As a quick aside, my pace isn't related to the pushback nor experience/skill level. Just affects my morale and mental heth to be blocked.
I can communicate effectively and I try to be as clear as possible in my proposals but this is absolutely driving me up the wall and killing my motivation.
This is a faang-level company and I would've expected better.
Any advice on how to best navigate this? Is this the norm???4 -

When I was attending my last year CS at uni I was approached by a startup that was funded by my uni.
It was the usual clusterfuck, an app idea that two business majors came up with. The idea was ok, but they had no coding experience. I was supposed to to set up everything and they told me that they might pay me with stocks.
(When they tell you they MIGHT pay you, you know its fucking bad)
There was so many red flags at this point so I told myself there is no way in hell I would do jackshit for them.
So I played along for a while, just so I could use them as a reference when I applied for a real job, and it actually worked.
Sometimes I go and look at the domain just to see where they ended up.
They didnt get past the index page.1 -
New job, strict devops role. I asked the devs they're painpoints, no mention of local dev stack.
Spin up a local dev stack and it's a garbage fire. No feature flags, env vars, docker. Have to be careful due to devs using staging databases for dev work.
This is going to be a problem...3 -

I've finally been so agitated at G+ I need somewhere to just vent.
So for context. What I'm talking about is Google+, or more specifically, the Android app. The website is bad in its own way, but that's not here nor there. No opinions on the iOS version, as I simply REFUSE to touch iOS.
So anyways. The platform itself honestly is not bad. With competent developers behind it, and them actually listening to their dwindling fucking userbase, they could easily turn it into something successful, but the issue is that they just aren't
You see, it's almost like they change dev staff every 6 or so months. Why do I believe this? Because the GUI changes about that fucking often. They also have a history of forcing updates, but allowing you to use an older version, just horrifically slapping on a new and unwelcome skin. This isn't an isolated practice by any means, but it's by far the most prevalent here.
So, now a list of some of the issues the current version has:
-After about a week, the app becomes unstably slow, to the point of it taking about a minute to refresh your home feed, or an individual page.
-Searching is never good, always being slow and rarely giving you who you asked for.
-Transparency is non fucking existent. There isn't a development roadmap to speak of, and when something happens we get it second hand from staff in a "G+ help" community.
There is a solution for the first one, going and clearing the data/cache, but really, the end user shouldn't have to regularly do that. Not to mention the storage space Google apps IN GENERAL fucking take up. Why does Google Play Services regularly use 250MB? (For most people, this really isn't much. But when you only get to fucking use 4 GB of internal storage it's a giant fuck you.)
Bah, back to the topic at hand.
There isn't a good solution to searching, or for transparency at the moment.
The spam filter is awful as well. REGULARLY letting obvious spam pass, regularly blocking and filtering genuine users. It's real annoying that the Android app itself doesn't have support for seeing these flags outside of rooting through the settings a bit, but still. The web and iOS versions have this already.
Oh, it also completely lacks a dark mode like most Google apps for some fuckin reason.
That concludes my random 1:30 AM rant about something I have no ability to change, except hope in vain that someone who has the ability to change this forwards this to the developers of G+.
I need a better sleep schedule.3 -
Okay, so because my desktop has an APU (AMD A8-3850) and a dedicated GPU (AMD R9 380) in it, and i'm finally getting a (small, probably 240GB because budget) SSD for it, what Linux distro should I use? I'm planning on doing libvirt passthrough for Windows using my APU because fuck running it as a main anymore, it breaks too often. As far as I can tell, my options are as such, family-wise:
- Debian kernel: amdgpu doesn't like that I have an APU and GPU and refuses to see a screen (yes, even after all the Xorg configs and xrandr bullshit and kernel flags and...)
- RHEL: a lot of Red Hat-based distros (mainly Fedora) have packages that are broken out-of-repo and out-of-box recently, but maybe it'll like my hardware? (It's been a few Fedora releases since I last tried it, is this fixed? CentOS has such old packages that it's not even worth bothering with for my needs.)
- Arch kernel: go fuck yourself, i don't wanna take 1000 hours to get it running for a week, nor would the updates be any better than Windows' current problem (or even more so, as slightly more often than not Windows' broken updates just add annoyances and don't hose the system.)
did I miss any?25 -
I don't know why do we need to entertain our clients for each and every thing. I mean I'm handling every fucking exception out there I have like 10 flags handling individual stuff. and if I raise this to my boss he will just say. if they are paying then we are doing it. I mean come on!

How do i start with rethinkdb? I read through few things seems like it is perfect fit for my use but I can't find a good guide/tutorial/something to help me get started. All I can find is plugins and stuff based on rethinkdb or made for it. -
My programming class kinda sucked. Here's why.
1. They taught C++. To students who had never seen a line of code in their lives. The language with 90+ keywords.
2. The teacher. We had to use switch statements to do something. It took around 300 loc. I used an array and shortened it to 5. He took some points away for not doing it correct. IT LITERALLY WORKS THE SAME AND IS SHORTER. This was not the first time I had shortened something/made it more readable and been docked points on the assignment.
3. Commenting. He told us to comment as much as possible, which is not correct. Comment what needs commenting. Not everything.
4. The compiler. We worked on windows with an online compiler. He decided teaching us to set up a compiler was too hard. We used onlinegdb, which isn't inherently bad. However, onlinegdb is based on Linux. He compiled our programs with a windows compiler.
Maybe these are just problems because I've programmed before that, but I still think they are red flags. What do you think?2 -
I read the book “Bad Blood” which is about the Theranos scandal. I sent a connection request on LinkedIn to Tyler Schultz, John Fuisz and John Carreyou. I was hoping that their insights would help me navigate the red flags of the startup world— exaggerating technology, misleading investors etc. All three accepted it !! Yay !3

i had it written like this :

Entrusting one's hard-earned money to the wrong hands can have devastating consequences. My journey began innocently enough, sparked by the success story of a former coworker who boasted of her newfound wealth and attributed it to the guidance of an investment coach. Intrigued by her lavish lifestyle, I delved deeper into the world of stock trading, eager to replicate her success. Upon contacting the purported investment coach, John Mark, I was met with promises of quick riches and convenient trading platforms. However, what followed was a series of red flags and suspicious transactions that left me questioning the legitimacy of the entire operation. Despite completing numerous trades within my first week, attempts to withdraw my profits were met with resistance and dubious excuses. **HOW TO RECOVER FUNDS LOST IN CRYPTO TRADING - CONSULT HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS**
Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into concern as I began to notice some red flags. The withdrawals from my account started taking longer than expected, and the customer service responses became increasingly slow and vague. At first, I chalked it up to minor technical issues, but over time, the delays grew longer, and communication became more difficult. It wasn’t until I tried to withdraw a larger sum that I realized something was terribly wrong. My trade assistant, who had been so responsive before, was suddenly unavailable. When I tried to contact support, I was met with silence. My frustration mounted as I attempted to reach them through multiple channels, but the replies I did receive were generic and unhelpful. That's when I decided to dig deeper. I started researching the platform and found multiple reports from other users claiming they had been scammed in the same way. The more I read, the clearer it became that I had fallen victim to a well-organized fraud operation. It was a harsh realization that, despite my experience in trading, I had been completely outmaneuvered.Desperate to recover my funds, I searched online for any potential solutions and came across HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS. Initially skeptical, I hesitated but decided to give it a try after reading numerous testimonials from individuals who had successfully regained their investments. After submitting a detailed account of my situation, their team quickly got to work, investigating the platform and leveraging legal channels to pursue recovery. It wasn’t an easy or quick process, but over the course of several weeks, they were able to recover a portion of my funds. Although I didn’t recover everything, I felt a sense of relief that I wasn’t left empty-handed.This experience was an incredibly tough lesson. I had always prided myself on being financially astute, but this scam taught me the importance of exercising even more caution, especially when venturing into unfamiliar territory. The rise of online trading platforms has certainly opened up new opportunities, but it has also created an environment ripe for exploitation. Going forward, I plan to stick with more trusted, established investment avenues and remain vigilant in my research. As for HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS, while my experience with them was positive, I am now more cautious and will always thoroughly vet any platform before I commit my funds. Last month, I received a terrifying letter labeled “Urgent IRS Notice,” threatening penalties and legal action unless I paid a “back tax” of 12 Bitcoin (BTC)valued at nearly $800,000 via a Houston-based “Crypto Compliance Portal.” The letter mimicked IRS branding flawlessly, complete with official logos, case numbers, and citations of tax codes. However, my skepticism grew when I noticed the demand for cryptocurrency, a method the IRS explicitly avoids. Despite doubts, panic pushed me to transfer the BTC. Moments later, the portal vanished, leaving me in shock. Realizing I’d been scammed, I frantically searched for solutions and discovered DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY, a firm renowned for combating crypto fraud. DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY became my anchor. Their team swiftly dissected the spoofed IRS letter and the fraudulent portal, pinpointing inconsistencies: grammatical errors, mismatched tax codes, and a Houston P.O. Box unaffiliated with the IRS. But their breakthrough came through blockchain forensics. DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY traced my stolen BTC across a convoluted network of wallets, exposing a transnational scheme. The Houston portal, though masquerading as local, funneled funds through offshore mixers and shell exchanges. Crucially, the scammers made a fatal error: a portion of the BTC briefly passed through a U.S.-regulated exchange with weak identity checks. DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY seized this vulnerability, collaborating with the FBI’s Cyber Division and IRS Criminal Investigation unit to freeze the assets under federal forfeiture laws. Their relentless advocacy ensured my case was prioritized, as they proved the criminals exploited U.S. financial systems. Within weeks, DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY achieved the unthinkable: 100% of my BTC was recovered. They navigated legal complexities, coordinated with prosecutors, and even educated me on scam tactics. “Fraudsters weaponize fear to bypass logic,” a DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY investigator explained, emphasizing how urgency clouds judgment. Their insights transformed my understanding of red flags, such as threats of immediate arrest or demands for irreversible payments. Today, I owe my financial survival to DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY. Their technical prowess, legal partnerships, and unwavering support turned catastrophe into a cautionary triumph. While I hope others never endure such a crisis, my message is clear: If faced with crypto fraud, DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY is the ally you need. Their name became my beacon of hope, proving that even in blockchain’s seemingly irreversible realm, skilled defenders can rewrite the narrative. Stay vigilant, verify relentlessly, and remember with DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY, recovery is possible.2 -
WHERE TO HIRE A CRYPTO RECOVERY SERVICE — DIGITAL HACK RECOVERY
We've all been there: you see an email that looks important, maybe from a service you use, and you click the link without a second thought. That was me one unsuspecting morning when I received an email claiming there was "suspicious activity" on one of my accounts. Thinking I was protecting my assets, I clicked the link, entered some information, and went about my day.
What I never knew was that I had just stepped into an organized trap. It wasn't from my account provider at all-malware-and in less than five to ten minutes, it siphoned $75,000 from my cryptocurrency wallet. I felt my heart drop the moment I opened my wallet some time later and the balance showed zero; it felt as if all air had been sucked out of the room. Panic turned to anger, then despair. How could I have been so careless?
I spent the next few hours spiraling, scouring the internet for solutions, feeling the world closing in on me. That's when I came across Digital Hack Recovery. I won't lie; at first, I was skeptical. The internet is full of promises that almost sound too good to be true, and I must say that right after getting conned once, it was pretty hard for me to try another. Reviews about Digital Hack Recovery were great, so I called them because I just literally had nothing to lose.
From the initial contact, their staff were the picture of professionalism. They didn't just hear my story; they listened. They assured me that they had seen similar cases and explained the recovery process step by step. Their calm confidence was infectious, and for the first time since the incident, I felt a glimmer of hope.
They worked day and night for the next several days, keeping me updated and answering all my anxious questions. Then, one day, the call came: they had recovered my $75,000. To hear those words was like getting a second chance at life. The relief was indescribable.
But they didn’t stop there. The team took the time to educate me on how to spot phishing scams and secure my wallet better. They even shared tips on recognizing red flags in suspicious emails. Thanks to them, I’m more vigilant than ever, and my funds—and peace of mind—are safe.Digital Hack Recovery didn't just recover my wallet; they restored my faith in humanity. Lesson learned: trust cautiously, but never lose hope.

How I hired Cryptic Trace Technologies to Recover Stolen BTC
In a world where cryptocurrency promises both freedom and uncertainty, I fell victim to a cleverly orchestrated bitcoin scam. It started with an enticing investment opportunity that seemed too good to be true—but I ignored the red flags. With smooth communication and convincing testimonials, the scammers gained my trust, and I transferred my bitcoin into what I thought was a secure platform. Within days, my account was drained, and my once-vibrant hope of financial growth was replaced with despair. It felt like a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from. The worst part? The anonymity of blockchain made it seem like the thieves had vanished into thin air. When I came across Cryptic Trace Technologies, I was at my lowest point. I had been warned that most recovery services were scams themselves, so I was hesitant. But their reputation spoke volumes. They had detailed case studies, practical explanations of their techniques, and a customer service team that took the time to listen—not just to what happened, but to how it affected me personally. Their honesty about the challenges of crypto recovery was refreshing; they didn’t guarantee miracles, but they promised to try their very best. That was all I needed—someone willing to fight for me when I couldn’t fight for myself. Their investigation process was nothing short of extraordinary. They dived deep into blockchain analysis, tracking my stolen funds across multiple wallets and exchanges. They explained each step in plain language, and I quickly realized this was no ordinary company. Cryptic Trace wasn’t just chasing numbers—they were strategizing, leveraging connections with exchanges, and even identifying potential weak spots in the scammers’ operations. Every update I received was like a lifeline pulling me out of the darkness. Their persistence paid off when they managed to freeze and recover a significant portion of my bitcoin—something I’d started to believe was impossible. Cryptic Trace Technologies turned what seemed like an irreversible loss into a powerful lesson about resilience and expertise. While I didn’t recover everything, I gained something more valuable: a sense of justice and the realization that there are still people fighting for fairness in this chaotic digital landscape. If you’ve been a victim of crypto fraud, don’t let hopelessness consume you. Trust me when I say Cryptic Trace Technologies isn’t just a service—they’re an ally who won’t stop until they’ve done everything possible to help. It was a harsh realization that, despite my experience in trading, I had been completely outmaneuvered. Desperate to recover my funds, I searched online for any potential solutions and came across HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS. Good day, everyone!
I don't want to terrify anyone, but the rise in internet theft is a growing concern that we cannot ignore. The digital age has brought numerous advantages, but it has also introduced new risks, especially in the realm of online fraud. Recently, a relative of mine fell victim to an investment scam that promised a 100 percent return in just a week. While such promises may sound tempting and almost too good to be true, they are often red flags indicating fraudulent schemes. It’s easy to think that such scams only target those who are naive or greedy, but the reality is that anyone can become a victim of these sophisticated frauds. Scammers use increasingly convincing tactics to lure individuals into their traps, making it crucial for all of us to remain vigilant and informed about potential threats. Fortunately, there is hope even if you've been scammed. The first and most important step is to seek assistance rather than succumbing to fear and despair. Ignoring the situation or feeling embarrassed can prevent you from taking necessary actions that could help you recover your losses. In my relative’s case, after realizing he had been duped, he decided to take action. He completed a thorough investigation and was lucky enough to discover a service called Tech Cyber Force Recovery. Tech Cyber Force Recovery specializes in helping individuals who have been defrauded recover their funds from fraudulent schemes. They have a track record of successfully retrieving money that has been lost to bogus investment companies. It was eye-opening to learn that such services exist and can be effective. Tech Cyber Force Recovery, for example, works by leveraging its expertise and tools to trace and reclaim stolen assets, providing a glimmer of hope to those who have been misled by fraudulent operations. Additionally, it's important to note that filing a complaint with such services does not always require an upfront payment. Many reputable recovery services offer initial consultations or evaluations without demanding payment right away. This allows you to assess the situation and understand your options before committing any resources. If you find yourself in a similar predicament, reaching out for professional help should be your first course of action. In sharing this information, my aim is to empower others with the knowledge that there is support available. Being informed about the existence of Tech Cyber Force recovery and understanding how to approach them can make a significant difference in navigating the aftermath of an online scam. Remember, the best defense against fraud is to be proactive and seek help as soon as possible. It's worth reiterating that awareness and caution are critical. Educate yourself about common scams and warning signs, and always verify the legitimacy of investment opportunities before committing any funds. By staying informed and vigilant, we can better protect ourselves and others from falling victim to these deceptive schemes. while internet theft is a serious issue, it is not an insurmountable one. With the right knowledge and resources, like those provided by Tech Cyber Force Recovery, it’s possible to recover from such losses and prevent future incidents. Share this knowledge with others and encourage them to seek help if needed. Together, we can build a safer online community and safeguard ourselves against the growing threat of internet fraud.

This was almost the case for me when I nearly lost a substantial portion of my inheritance to an elaborate investment scam. It all began innocently enough, or so I thought. I was desperate to make my money work for me. When I came across an advertisement on TikTok promoting a crypto investment opportunity, it seemed like exactly what I had been searching for. The ad promised high returns, and the way it was presented made it hard to resist. I was directed to a sleek website for a platform called Crypto Zone that laid out all the details. Yet, over time, it has morphed into a treacherous landscape, rife with scammers preying on unsuspecting victims. As an ardent R&B fan, I idolized Teddy Swims, whose soulful lyrics and timeless wisdom shaped my life and career. So, when an Instagram notification popped up with a message reading, "Guess who?" purportedly from Swims himself I was elated. Blinded by admiration, I engaged eagerly, oblivious to the red flags. The imposter, posing as Swims, mentioned a lucrative investment opportunity that promised quick returns. My judgment clouded by unwavering trust, I bypassed due diligence, convinced that my idol would never deceive me. In a reckless moment, I invested a staggering $600,000, only to discover later that I had been ruthlessly scammed. BEST CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT- OFFERING SOLUTIONS FOR STOLEN CRYPTO ASSETS/ VISIT TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT
In today’s digital age, scams in the crypto space are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Even experienced users can be deceived by what appear to be legitimate update prompts or wallet notifications. In my case, it all started with what looked like a routine wallet update notification. I received an email that appeared to come from the official source of my XRP wallet provider. It was well-crafted, complete with the company's branding, tone, and even security warnings urging users to act quickly to prevent potential vulnerabilities. The message informed me that a mandatory security update was required to continue using the wallet, with a direct link to download the latest version.Wanting to stay ahead on security and seeing no red flags at first glance, I clicked the link and followed the update process. The website I was taken to was a near-perfect replica of the actual wallet site same layout, same logos, and even a live chat box that appeared to respond like a real support agent. It asked me to enter my wallet credentials, including my recovery phrase, under the guise of syncing my existing wallet to the new version. Trusting that this was a legitimate procedure, I complied. Within minutes, my wallet was drained.I refreshed my wallet balance out of instinct and watched in real time as my 650K XRP disappeared, transferred through a series of unknown addresses. The sickening realization hit: I had been tricked into handing over access to my assets. The email, the website, the entire update process it was all part of a well-coordinated phishing scam. I lost a significant portion of my funds to an online scam involving a fake crypto investment platform called Coinanan. RAPID DIGITAL RECOVERY - A REPUTABLE BITCOIN RECOVERY COMPANY
Hey guys,
The man I had been chatting with, who I had trusted and followed his advice to invest in a cryptocurrency platform, was nothing more than a scammer. My son’s revelation hit me like a ton of bricks. I had invested a staggeringb€135,800 in Bitcoin, believing that not only would I find financial success but also companionship. Instead, I found myself deceived and alone, facing a situation that seemed almost unbearable. The days following the revelation were some of the darkest in my life. I remember my sleepless nights, overwhelmed with tears and anxiety. I had hoped that this investment would transform my life, but instead, it led to crushing disappointment. It took me several days just to process and calculate the total amount I had sent to this scammer and invested in the fraudulent platform. The sheer magnitude of my loss was almost too much to bear. Despite the red flags that should have warned me, I ignored them. The scammer was always evasive whenever I tried to initiate a video call, and his anger whenever I requested one should have been a clear signal of his deceit. Instead, I continued to believe his promises, blinded by my own hopes and loneliness. As a 59-year-old, my desire for connection made me vulnerable to manipulation. The scammer’s assurances and my own longing for a friend clouded my judgment, and I failed to see the fraud that was unfolding before me. When I finally came to terms with the scam, I felt utterly defeated. I was on the verge of giving up on everything, convinced that I had lost everything I had invested. That’s when my son stepped in. He saw how devastated I was and decided to take action. Determined to help me, he took it upon himself to trace the scam and recover the stolen Bitcoin. My son’s dedication was a beacon of hope during this dark time. He asked me to provide all the evidence I had—screenshots of the transactions and any other relevant information about the Bitcoin I had sent to the scammer. I was hesitant but hopeful that their reputation for recovering lost cryptocurrency could help us. RAPID DIGITAL RECOVERY team was incredibly responsive and professional. In April, I made a significant purchase that I believed would enhance my collection as a devoted BTS fan and digital art enthusiast. I stumbled upon a marketplace that advertised exclusive, limited edition BTS-themed NFTs. The excitement was palpable; the listing claimed these NFTs were authentic and one-of-a-kind. Without a second thought, I invested 12 ETH, convinced I was acquiring something truly special. My enthusiasm soon turned to doubt. As I examined the images more closely, they didn’t resemble the official BTS NFT releases I had seen previously. I began to notice discrepancies that raised red flags. Discussions in online fan groups further fueled my concerns, with some members suggesting that the NFTs I purchased might be counterfeit copies. This unsettling realization prompted me to seek assistance from CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. In my search for help, I discovered CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, a company dedicated to assisting individuals who have fallen victim to NFT scams. I reached out to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN and provided all the details regarding my purchase. Their team acted swiftly, launching an investigation into the NFTs I had acquired. To my dismay, CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN confirmed my fears: the NFTs were indeed copies, not the exclusive BTS NFTs I had been led to believe I was buying. Someone had taken the original artwork and sold it under false pretenses. CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN didn’t stop at merely confirming the fraud; they diligently gathered evidence and engaged with the marketplace to advocate on my behalf. After extensive negotiations, CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN managed to secure a refund of 9 ETH from the total I had spent. While losing 3 ETH was still a painful blow, I felt a wave of relief wash over me knowing that I had recovered the majority of my investment, thanks to the expertise of CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. This has highlighted the reality that scammers can create convincing fake NFTs that are difficult to distinguish from the real thing. Without the intervention of professionals like CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, it’s all too easy to fall victim to such schemes. As I keep supporting BTS and delving into the realm of NFTs, I've adopted a more careful strategy. I focus on conducting in-depth research and only interact with reputable sellers and platforms. If I ever have any reservations about a purchase, I won't hesitate to reach out to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN or similar professionals. My journey has highlighted the necessity of being vigilant in the constantly changing digital art scene, and I appreciate the assistance from CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN in this recovery process.

However, despite this confirmation, my balance on the trading portal remained unchanged. HOW TO FIGHT AGAINST CRYPTO SCAM AND WIN/ HIRA TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT
What started as a laid-back night, chatting in a crypto Discord channel, quickly became one of the worst nights of my life. I had been discussing some investment strategies, giving and receiving some tips on trading, ups and downs of the market, when somebody dropped a link into the chat of what looked like a great new trading platform. The chat was hyped, and without thinking twice, I clicked it.
Big mistake. The moment I logged in with my credentials, my stomach just dropped. Something didn't feel right. Within minutes, I saw an unauthorized transaction that had siphoned my Bitcoin wallet of $200,000, and before I could even comprehend what was happening, it was gone. It was as if my financial future had been stolen right before my eyes. Panic set in, and a wave of regret washed over me. How could I, someone who prided themselves on being cautious, fall for such an obvious scam?
I started to post frantically in the Discord group, seeking any advice. And then a guy mentioned the name Trust Geeks Hack Expert. He talked highly of them, saying they had already dealt with similar cases and that they recovered lost crypto in scamming and hacking. It was a long shot, but at this point, I had nothing left to lose. I reached out immediately, and from the very first interaction, I knew I was in good hands. The team was calm, professional, and most importantly, understanding of my frustration. They assured me that my situation wasn't hopeless and that they had advanced tools to track and recover lost funds.
But this was the nail-biting period, and as promised, they pulled off what was seemingly impossible. They recovered my Bitcoin, and I got back access to my wallet. Relief was an understatement; from total despair to absolute triumph in a moment, thanks to them. Yet, they didn't stop there.
Trust Geeks Hack Expert also helped me fortify my digital security, teaching me how to recognize red flags, secure my wallet better, and avoid similar scams in the future. I’ve since become an advocate for crypto safety, warning others in my Discord group about the dangers of phishing links and shady platforms.

How did you decide what you wanted to do with your career? I'm fresh out of uni and am looking for work but have no idea what roles or languages or software types I want to work in, only a vague idea of stuff I don't want and a vague idea of what could be nice. I'm also at a bit of a crossroads because I've applied to multiple very different jobs and have no idea which one to accept if multiple offer me a job (given that there weren't any red flags when interviewing).1

In today's digital age, investing online has become more accessible, but unfortunately, with that accessibility comes an increased risk of falling victim to fraudulent trading platforms. Recently, I had a troubling experience that not only left me questioning the safety of online investments but also led me to discover a reliable service that helped me recover my funds. Let me share my story and help others avoid similar scams.I had been encouraged to invest in a trading platform that seemed to offer promising returns and attractive offers. The platform lured investors with its ‘super trader’ feature, an automated trading tool designed to make profitable trades on behalf of its users. It seemed like a foolproof way to multiply my investment. However, as time went on, I began to notice strange behavior in the trading patterns. During the final hours of the 2023 UK election day, I observed a suspicious trade happening on the platform. The trade executed at the most inconvenient time just before the GBP market was expected to experience a sharp rise due to election results. Despite being an amateur trader myself, I could sense that something wasn’t right. The decision to trade at such a crucial moment, with the high risk involved, raised red flags. It was clear that whoever was behind this platform had ulterior motives. They manipulated the system to take advantage of the election’s volatility, causing the value of the assets to plummet and resulting in the loss of 90% of my entire investment. What made the situation even worse was the difficulty I faced in trying to get in touch with the platform's customer support. They vanished, leaving no way to recover my funds. I was devastated and felt completely powerless. However, after extensive research, I found Salvage Asset Recovery, a professional service that specializes in helping people recover lost funds from online scams. Salvage Asset Recovery was instrumental in guiding me through the process of recovering my funds. They communicated with me every step of the way, providing expert support and clear instructions on how to proceed. How to Get Back Lost, Hacked, or Stolen Cryptö? GrayHat Hacks Contractor
Recovering lost, hacked, or stolen cryptöcurrency can be a challenging and often uncertain process. However, you can recover your assets or mitigate the damage by utilizing Cryptö Recovery Services. GrayHat Hacks Contractor is one of the most recommended agency that specialize in tracking and recovering stolen cryptöcurrency.
Exploring How GrayHat Hacks Contractor Analyses Blockchain in Cryptöcurrency Investigations
The examination of blockchain activities plays a vital role in identifying fraudulent transactions and recovering misappropriated cryptöcurrency assets. This intricate process involves multiple critical steps as discussed briefly in this submission.
GrayHat Hacks Contractor (GHH) conduct thorough investigations of blockchain records related to stolen digital currencies in order to trace their movement from their original source to their current state. By clustering related addresses, GHH can effectively track the movement of stolen funds across various wallets, providing insights into the strategies employed by cybercriminals.
GHH examine transaction behaviors for anomalies or red flags that may suggest illegal activities, such as hacking or financial theft. Leveraging historical transaction data, GrayHat Hacks Contractor can identify recurring attack patterns, enabling them to spot potential threats before they escalate, thus helping in the formulation of preemptive countermeasures. Blockchain analysis sometimes necessitates collaboration with other agencies, cryptöcurrency exchanges, and other stakeholders to effectively immobilize and reclaim stolen assets.
In the field of cryptöcurrency investigations, blockchain analysis collaborates with open-source intelligence OSINT to offer a well-rounded perspective on security incidents. Tools like Etherscan and Nansen assist investigators like GHH in gathering essential information about individuals and organizations linked to cyber crimes, enhancing their capability to track down culprits and retrieve stolen funds.
While the steps to recovery may differ as each case is unique, there is still a good chance you can recover your lost funds if reported to the right team. The decentralized and pseudonymous nature of cryptocurrency makes it particularly difficult to trace or recover assets once they’ve been stolen. This makes it crucial for anyone seeking to recover stolen funds to employ the service of experts in the field.
You can reach out to them via WhatsApp +1 (843) 368-3015 if you are ever in need of their services.2 -

PROFESSIONAL CRYPTO RECOVERY COMPANY; BITCOIN AND ETH RECOVEYR EXPERT HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Early 2025,I was captivated by a cryptocurrency trading company that promised extraordinary financial rewards. Their marketing materials boasted high returns, expert mentorship, and the allure of becoming a self-sufficient online trader. Eager to capitalize on the volatile crypto market, I underwent a series of assessments to prove my trading aptitude and dedication. The third test, a rigorous simulation involving real-time market analysis, risk management strategies, and cryptocurrency volatility scenarios, convinced me of the platform’s legitimacy. By this stage, I had invested roughly $56,000, reassured by their polished interface and assurances that my funds were secure and growing. The turning point came when I attempted to withdraw my accumulated balance of $273,000, which included trading commissions and a $25,000 “loyalty bonus.” Instead of processing my request, the company demanded an additional $83,000 to “finalize tax compliance protocols” and unlock my account. They framed this as a routine step to “legitimize” my earnings and transition me to a “permanent trader” tier. Skepticism set in as their communication grew evasive: delayed responses, vague explanations about blockchain “security fees,” and sudden claims of “wallet activation errors. Alarm bells rang louder when they cited “suspicious activity” on my account, insisting another $50,000 deposit was needed to “verify liquidity” and release my funds. Each delay came with new urgency, threats of account suspension, forfeited profits, or even legal repercussions for “breaching terms.” Exhausted by their manipulative tactics, I refused further payments and began researching recovery options. A trusted colleague recommended Cyber Constable Intelligence, a firm specializing in crypto fraud cases. Their team swiftly identified red flags: fake trading volumes, fabricated regulatory certifications, and wallet addresses linked to offshore exchanges. Through forensic analysis, they traced my funds, recovering a significant p

HIRE A PHONE HACKER AT GEARHEAD ENGINEERS
It is not easy for a man to admit to himself that his wife is a serial cheater. Well, that’s my current situation. My wife of 10 months has been cheating on me with multiple men and this came to me as a complete shock. I ignored all the red flags from the beginning, particularly the way we met, a one night stand at a friend’s place after she begged me to sleep with her. At that time I thought it was strong chemistry but it turns out it’s a habit. I was so blinded by love and desire for attention that I ignored all her negative characters. My delusional self began suspecting her after noticing she is always protective of her phone. So I got a hacker at gearheadengineers dot org to get the job done. I still have ptsd from all the things I found in her phone since the hackers gave me access to all her phone functions. Guys, please do thorough research on the person you decide to spend the rest of your life.1 -

Maybe I am picky, but:
Some people made a "FileStorage" API where in the open method you have flags like READ, WRITE, APPEND... And they made it like when you check WRITE the API opens/overwites to an empty file.
And when someon made a github Issue about this behaviour, they flagged it as a feature request. I'm so anoyed by not being able to overwite my data, thats just rude. Like should I use an file storage API to overwrite data like this:
0- Save file inner structure (you can't extract it from the API)
1- Open the file, parse the structure
2- Find file to overwrite
3- Save all the mess again
4- write your own API

DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY - THE BEST RECOVERY EXPERTS
I’m a woman based in Cleveland, Ohio, and as a data analyst, I’ve always prided myself on making calculated, well-researched decisions when it comes to my investments. I’m careful about where I put my money, whether in stocks, real estate, or even emerging markets like cryptocurrency. So when I came across a promising crypto platform, I thought it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I was casually scrolling through TikTok one evening when I first heard about this platform. It seemed legitimate, with lots of positive testimonials and high returns being promised. After reviewing everything carefully, looking at user feedback, features, and even doing some basic background checks, I decided to invest $200,000. It was a calculated risk, or so I thought. I was feeling pretty confident, believing I had made an informed decision based on the data. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The platform started experiencing delays in withdrawals, and customer support went silent. At first, I thought it was just a technical issue, but as days turned into weeks and my funds were still tied up, I began to worry. I eventually realized the worst-case scenario: I’d been scammed. The platform disappeared entirely, taking my investment with it. It was gut-wrenching. All that time and effort I’d put into research seemed pointless, and I was left wondering how I’d missed the red flags. Feeling frustrated and defeated, I turned to YouTube in search of answers. As I was watching videos related to crypto scams, I came across a comment that mentioned Digital Tech Guard Recovery. Someone had shared their experience of recovering lost funds with their help. Curious, I did some more research, and everything I found about Digital Tech Guard Recovery seemed promising. I was hesitant at first, but given my situation, I decided to reach out. Digital Tech Guard Recovery quickly took over the process.

I rely on trustworthy platforms like Tutor com and Chegg Tutors to connect with students and grow my tutoring business. One day, I received an email from a company claiming to be a new, exclusive tutoring platform called EduConnect Pro. They offered to list my services on their platform for a fee of $4,000. The offer seemed legitimate. They had a professional website, glowing testimonials, and even a detailed contract. Excited about the opportunity, I paid the fee, hoping it would help me reach more students. However, after a few days , I began to notice red flags. The platform they promised never materialized, and my emails to the company went unanswered. When I tried calling, the number was disconnected. Panic set in as I realized I had been scammed. The $4,000 I had paid was gone, and I had no way to recover it on my own. As a tutor, losing that amount of money was devastating. It was my income, my savings, and my livelihood. Desperate for help, I reached out to Lee Ultimate Hacker, a company I had heard about from a colleague. Losing $101,505 overnight felt like a gut wrenching blow. One moment, my financial future appeared stable; the next, it vanished into the ether. The platform I had trusted with my investments suddenly locked my account, citing vague “suspicious activity and then went silent. For days, I found myself trapped in a maze of automated emails, robotic chatbots, and unanswered phone calls. The so called customer service team offered nothing but scripted apologies, with no clear timeline for resolution. The weight of helplessness was overwhelming. How had I allowed this to happen? While this was harrowing, it transformed into a crucial lesson in financial vigilance. First and foremost, thorough research is essential. I had been seduced by polished marketing and enticing promises of guaranteed returns, neglecting to verify the platform’s legitimacy or investigate its leadership. A more in-depth examination would have unveiled warning signs: unregistered claims, a questionable operational history, and user reviews obscured by glowing testimonials. Secondly, if something appears too good to be true, it likely is. The platform’s pitch of consistent high returns with zero risk should have raised immediate red flags. My greed and urgency clouded my judgment, a mistake I am determined not to repeat. Most importantly, having access to responsive support is a necessity, not a luxury. When disaster struck, the lack of human assistance exacerbated the situation. Reputable institutions prioritize transparency and accountability qualities that were glaringly absent in this case.My path to recovery began with a referral to PYRAMID HACK SOLUTION, a firm specializing in Cryptocurrency asset recovery. Initially skeptical but desperate, I meticulously documented every transaction and communication, providing their team with the evidence. Their methodical approach included forensic audits, legal outreach, and persistent follow-ups with the platform’s payment processors. Remarkably, within weeks, they managed to recover 92% of my funds, a significant triumph given the circumstances. This ordeal has fundamentally altered my approach to financial decisions. I now cross-check companies against regulatory databases, explore independent review forums, and assess customer service responsiveness before investing a single dollar. Risk management is not paranoia; it’s a wise strategy. To anyone navigating the unpredictable realm of online finance: take a moment to pause, conduct thorough research, and prioritize actions over promises. DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY: YOUR CRYPTO BACKUP PLAN
Having retired after a fulfilling career as a lecturer, I never imagined that I would become the target of a cryptocurrency scam. Yet, life often takes unexpected turns, and this experience became a painful but unforgettable lesson in the dangers of the digital world. contact with WhatsApp: +1 (443) 859 - 2886
Email @ digital tech guard . com Telegram: digital tech guard recovery . com I had invested in a cryptocurrency trading platform that promised extraordinarily high returns. At first, everything seemed legitimate. The platform was easy to navigate, and customer support was responsive and professional. The allure of rapid profits clouded my judgment, and I overlooked some initial warning signs. As time went on, however, I began to notice troubling issues. The platform’s fees were disproportionately high, and the process for withdrawing funds became increasingly complicated and opaque. Despite these red flags, I chose to trust the system, convinced that the investment would eventually pay off. That trust was shattered when I attempted to transfer my funds, only to discover that the platform had disappeared, taking my money with it. The realization that I had been scammed was devastating. A significant portion of my retirement savings was gone, and I felt as though I had failed not only myself but also my family, who relied on me for financial security. Though heartbroken and shaken, I refused to give up. I turned to online research, determined to find a way to recover my lost funds. I spent countless hours reading about others who had fallen victim to similar scams and seeking any advice or solutions that might help. First, due diligence is non-negotiable. I had been swayed by sleek marketing and unrealistic promises of “guaranteed returns,” without properly investigating the platform’s credibility. Had I looked deeper, I would’ve uncovered troubling red flags—unverified claims, a murky operational history, and filtered reviews that masked real user experiences.
Second, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Promises of high, consistent returns with “zero risk” should’ve triggered immediate skepticism. But in my urgency and greed, I ignored my instincts.
And third, responsive support is essential. When things went south, the absence of real human help made everything worse. Reputable financial platforms prioritize accountability and transparency—qualities this company clearly lacked. Email info: Adware recovery specialist @ auctioneer. net

RECOVER MONEY LOST TO FAKE ONLINE SCAMMERS HIRE FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY
The cryptocurrency space, with its dizzying promises of financial freedom, had always intrigued me until it became the stage for my deepest disillusionment. Last year, I fell victim to an elaborate crypto scam that stripped me of years’ worth of savings. What began as a confident investment in a "guaranteed returns" scheme unraveled into a nightmare. Overnight, my portfolio vanished, along with the anonymous fraudsters who orchestrated the ploy. The aftermath was a toxic blend of anger, shame, and helplessness. I questioned every decision, replaying red flags I’d naively ignored. Crypto forums offered little solace, filled with eerily similar stories of irreversible losses. Just as I resigned myself to defeat, a glimmer of hope emerged: FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY. From the outset, their team stood apart by blending technical precision with unwavering compassion. Rather than treating my case as a faceless ticket, they approached it with a commitment to understanding the human toll of the scam. During initial consultations, they listened patiently to my story, offering reassurance that shifted my mindset from despair to cautious optimism. “These scams thrive on exploiting trust, not incompetence,” one advisor emphasized a perspective that dissolved my self-blame. FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY’s mastery of Cryptocurrencies forensics became evident as they untangled the digital maze of my stolen assets. They decoded how fraudsters manipulated wallet vulnerabilities and decentralized exchanges to obscure the trail, leveraging proprietary tools and cross platform collaborations to trace the funds. Over three days, their transparency became my anchor. Regular updates demystified their process, flagging suspicious transactions, and piecing together patterns linked to earlier scams. Challenges arose dead-end leads, unresponsive third parties but the team navigated each obstacle with tenacity. By second day, they’d recovered $350,000 of my assets. Beyond recovery, FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY prioritized empowerment. They equipped me with resources to safeguard future investments and connected me to a private forum of survivors, fostering a community of shared resilience. Today, I’m not only financially restored but fortified with hard-earned wisdom. My situation proves that loss isn’t always permanent. With cutting-edge expertise and relentless advocacy, redemption is attainable. Let my journey remind you: even in Cryptocurrency opaque wilderness, a path back exists and FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY lights the way.

HOW TO RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BITCOIN AND CRYPTO; TRACK AND RECOVER LOST CRYPTO ASSETS WITH CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
On December 1st, 2024, I was scrolling through TikTok when an ad for an investment opportunity caught my eye. The ad promised high returns with minimal risk, showcasing professional graphics and glowing testimonials. Convinced by its polished presentation, I decided to invest $17,088.00, believing it to be a wise financial move. However, by December 15th, I began to notice several red flags. The company’s website, which had initially appeared professional, was filled with spelling errors, broken links, and missing images. As I explored further, it became clear that the site lacked the credibility I had first assumed, signaling that I had likely fallen into the hands of scammers. Attempting to recover my funds, I requested a withdrawal of $5,000, the company’s monthly withdrawal limit. Despite the transaction being marked as “pending,” the money never reached my bank account. I reached out to the company, but received no helpful responses, and the funds remained stuck. A few days later, I was contacted by a man who seemed friendly and professional. He explained that because I had deposited on December 1st and was now attempting to withdraw on December 22nd, it could raise suspicion with financial authorities. He suggested I cancel the withdrawal request to avoid potential issues, promising that if I did, my funds would be released by Friday. Reluctantly, I agreed, hoping that this would resolve the situation. However, after following his advice, the money never came through, and I was locked out of my account entirely. Realizing that waiting for the company to honor the withdrawal was futile, I reported the situation to the FBI and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Shortly after, I was referred to Cyber Constable Intelligence, a company specializing in helping victims of online fraud. They worked tirelessly on my behalf, and after several weeks, I was thrilled to learn that they had successfully recovered my full investment of $17,088.00. While the scammers have not been caught, I am deeply grateful for Cyber Constable Intelligence service’s help. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: always be cautious with online investments. I’m thankful to God for guiding me through this process and for helping me recover my funds.

As a dedicated nurse working at St. Mary's Hospital in the USA and a mother of two, I’ve always felt a strong responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of my children. This became especially important when they entered high school, a time when they face increased pressures and challenges. My husband, unfortunately, wasn’t as involved in their lives, leaving me to take the lead in many aspects of parenting and family management. One day, I discovered that my husband had made a significant financial decision that concerned me. He had taken $7,500, money that was originally set aside for our children’s school fees, and invested it in an online platform. When he came home that evening, he was visibly distressed. I immediately noticed the stress on his face and a notification on his phone from one of his friends asking if he had received the help he needed. This raised red flags, so I decided to confront him. After some conversation, my husband admitted that he had lost the money in a high-risk investment scheme he had found online. The platform seemed legitimate at first, but it turned out to be a scam. My heart sank when I realized the gravity of the situation. The money was not only intended for our children’s education, but we were also in a vulnerable financial position, and this loss could have serious consequences. Despite the overwhelming stress, I decided to act quickly. It was a reminder of how important it is to stay vigilant in today’s digital world, and I’m thankful that, with the right support, we were able to recover from this financial setback.

In a world brimming with enticing investment opportunities, it is crucial to tread carefully. The rise of digital currencies has attracted many eager investors, but along with this excitement lurk deceitful characters ready to exploit the unsuspecting. I learned this lesson the hard way, and I want to share my story in the hopes that it can save someone from making the same mistakes I did.
It all began innocently enough when I came across an engaging individual on Facebook. Lured in by promises of high returns in the cryptocurrency market, I felt the electric thrill of potential wealth coursing through me. Initial investments returned some profits, and that exhilarating taste of success fueled my ambition. Encouraged by a meager withdrawal, I decided to commit even more funds. This was the moment I let my guard down, blinded by greed.
As time went on, the red flags started to multiply. The moment I tried to withdraw my earnings, a cascade of unreasonable fees appeared like a thick mist, obscuring the truth. “Just a little more,” they said, “Just until the next phase.” I watched my hard-earned money slip through my fingers as I scraped together every last cent to pay those relentless fees. My trust had become my downfall. In the end, I lost not just a significant amount of cash, but my peace of mind about $1.1 million vanished into the abyss of false promises and hollow guarantees.
But despair birthed hope. After a cascade of letdowns, I enlisted the help of KAY-NINE CYBER SERVICES, a team that specializes in reclaiming lost funds from scams. Amazingly, they worked tirelessly to piece together what had been ripped away, providing me with honest guidance when I felt utterly defeated. Their expertise in navigating the treacherous waters of crypto recovery was a lifeline I desperately needed.
To anyone reading this, please let my story serve as a warning. High returns often come wrapped in the guise of deception. Protect your investments, scrutinize every opportunity, and trust your instincts. Remember, the allure of quick riches can lead you straight to heartbreak, but with cautious determination and support, it is possible to begin healing from such devastating loss. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and may you choose your investment paths wisely.

RECOVER YOUR STOLEN CRYPTO OR MONEY LOST TO SCAMMERS WITH A LEGIT RECOVERY EXPERT = DIGITAL HACK RECOVERY
I am a religious man here in Lakewood, and I believe in honesty, integrity, and fairness in all aspects of life. Recently, however, I found myself caught in a situation that tested my faith in these values, as I was taken advantage of by an online broker. I started by depositing $10,850 into my trading account and, through careful and honest efforts, managed to grow it to $37,961. However, when I requested to withdraw my profits, I was met with resistance. The broker denied my withdrawal request without offering any explanation, and worse, they withheld the full amount of my profit, effectively locking me out of my own money.I reached out to the broker multiple times through email and their official Telegram support, but all my attempts to get answers were ignored. This silence was not only frustrating, but it also raised serious red flags. I felt helpless and uncertain, as I had no clear way of resolving the issue or even getting a response. After exhausting all my options with the broker, I decided to take action. I reached out to Digital Hack Recovery, a company that specializes in helping people recover funds from fraudulent brokers. They took on my case and worked diligently on my behalf, ultimately helping me recover my money, including the full amount of my profits. While I am thankful to have my funds returned, the experience has left me deeply disappointed. As a person of faith, I believe in fairness, and seeing such unethical behavior firsthand was a harsh reminder of the risks involved in dealing with brokers who may not operate with transparency or integrity.I want to share this story as a warning to others. If you’re considering doing business with an online broker, be cautious and vigilant. Online crypto investment can seem like a promising opportunity, but it’s crucial to recognize that there are no guarantees. My own experience serves as a stark reminder of this reality. I was drawn in by the allure of high returns and the persuasive marketing tactics employed by various brokers on platforms like Instagram. Their polished presentations and testimonials made it seem easy to profit from cryptocurrency trading. Everything appeared to be legitimate. I received enticing messages about the potential for substantial gains, and the brokers seemed knowledgeable and professional. Driven by excitement and the fear of missing out, I invested a significant amount of my savings. The promise of quick profits overshadowed the red flags I should have noticed. I trusted these brokers without conducting proper research, which was a major mistake. As time went on, I realized that the promised returns were nothing but illusions. My attempts to withdraw funds were met with endless excuses and delays. It became painfully clear that I had fallen victim to a scam. The reality hit hard: my hard-earned money was gone, and I was left feeling foolish and defeated. In my desperation, I sought help from a company called Rapid Digital Recovery. They specialize in helping individuals recover funds lost to online scams. Their expertise and guidance have been invaluable during this difficult time. While I remain cautious and skeptical, I’m hopeful that they can assist me in retrieving my funds. This has taught me an important lesson: if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. I urge anyone considering online crypto investments to be extremely cautious. Do your research, scrutinize the brokers, and avoid rushing into decisions driven by hype or pressure. The world of cryptocurrency can be volatile and unregulated, making it a breeding ground for scams. while online investments can be appealing, they come with significant risks. Protect yourself by staying informed and skeptical. Learn from my experience and prioritize due diligence over quick gains. Stay away from unverified platforms and be wary of offers that sound too good to be true. Your financial security is worth the effort to ensure you’re making safe and informed decisions.

HIRE A HACKER TO RECOVER STOLEN BTC / USDT / BNB - DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY
I was instantly drawn to the idea of the Dubai Cryptocurrency Summit. As a startup founder deeply involved in fintech, the allure wasn’t just the professional opportunity it was the entire package. Dubai’s reputation for luxury, innovation, and ambition made it feel like the perfect setting for a high-profile cryptocurrency event. The promotional materials played into that image perfectly sleek branding, glamorous images of the Burj Khalifa, luxury hotels, exclusive networking lounges, and promises of elite industry attendees from around the globe. The event promised a premium experience that aligned perfectly with the bold, forward-thinking vision I had for my company. I pictured myself networking in rooftop lounges, pitching to investors, and forming strategic partnerships in a city known for embracing blockchain and crypto innovation. Everything about the summit matched Dubai’s reputation high-end, cutting-edge, and full of opportunity. The "premium sponsorship package" was offered at $25,000 in Bitcoin, and it promised a speaking slot, a branded booth, marketing exposure, and exclusive access to investor roundtables. It felt like a fast track to recognition and growth, all set against a backdrop of luxury and global innovation. The polished website, active social media pages, and impressive list of supposed sponsors and speakers all added to the credibility. It seemed too good to pass up. But as the event date approached, red flags began to appear. The summit’s website started glitching, emails to the organizers bounced back, and their social media accounts disappeared. That’s when the harsh truth hit me: the Dubai Cryptocurrency Summit was a scam. The event never existed, and I had sent $25,000 in Bitcoin into thin air. I contacted DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY, a firm specializing in cryptocurrency scam investigations. Using advanced tracking tools, they traced my Bitcoin through complex wallets and eventually to a Dubai-based crypto exchange. Working with local authorities, they managed to freeze the scam wallet and recover $22,000 of my funds. While it wasn’t the full amount, it was a significant victory.

I’ve always been cautious with my finances, but the promise of high returns in the crypto world drew me in. I invested $390,000 into what I believed was a legitimate Bitcoin investment platform. Initially, everything seemed promising—the returns looked incredible, and the dashboard showed my portfolio growing daily. However, when I attempted to withdraw my earnings, the site became unresponsive. Emails went unanswered, and my funds appeared to vanish without a trace. I was devastated. My trust in digital finance was shattered, and countless sleepless nights followed as I researched recovery options. That’s when I discovered SANTOSHI HACKERS INTELLIGENCE (SHI) through an online forum. Many others shared similar stories of loss but spoke highly of SHI’s ability to recover their stolen assets. Though skeptical, I reached out to them, clinging to hope. From my very first interaction with the SHI team, I was struck by their professionalism and genuine empathy. They took the time to understand my situation, asking detailed questions about my transactions and communications with the scam site. Their approach was meticulous and transparent, explaining step-by-step how they would trace blockchain transactions to uncover the trail left by the scammers. The process wasn’t instantaneous, but SHI regular updates and clear communication gave me confidence. Using advanced blockchain analytics, they traced my $390,000 through multiple disguised addresses used by the scammers.
