Search - "solarized"
That moment when you realize you'd be the shittiest programmer around if Stack Overflow didn't exist...10
The inofficial devRant Toolbox for Firefox has been approved by Mozilla and is now available in the public Mozilla AddOn section:
It adds extended controls, themes (black, solarized, comic), dual frame layout and some more additional features.
A chrome version is also available:
I am still working on the devrant toolbox extension (for firefox and chrome).
This is how it looks in my browser (firefox). The colorset is "solarized light", but there will be dark modes also.
What do you think about the dual frame layout with the feed on the left and the rant on the right? Would you use that?11

I NEED SOME FEEDBACK!!!
Therefore a feedback is my term of use.
Please post it as a comment (or in the google group).7
Fuck the guy that chose the colors for MonoDevelops Solarized Dark Theme!
Guess on which of the two screenshots below I selected some text in the middle of the line and on which one I didn't.
What is your favourite color scheme?
I've been trying gruvbox over a month and I like the softer colors and the retro 70's feel. I had been on solarized for over 3 years before making the switch.
What do you like to use? Post screenshots!11
Solarized dark is the best thing that has ever happened the theme-world. I use it starting from terminal to all editors& IDEs.4
If you dont know Tilix is the best terminal you can use on linux. And well i like it and all but the solarized dark theme is just terrible in it. I mean the warnings are easy to miss and errors even easier so well i created my own version of solarized dark.9
Sometimes I think at least 40% of showing productivity relates to how many applications on your screen are colored in Solarized Dark.5
I was messing with my lemonbar + i3status config (with sway), when I decided to ditch i3status entirely and generate a status line using pure Awk. Battery is calculated from /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0, got workspaces (Material Design Icons) working, have a nice dated, and all colors match Solarized Dark from Vim. Have underlines, highlights etc. setup.
It's so beautiful :)4
The beta version of the new DEVRANT TOOLBOX is available now.
Its an unofficial web extension for Chrome and Firefox.
Chrome Web Store:
The certifaction process takes a long time, therefore I provided a direct download for the xpi file (for side loading).
Additional features: DUAL FRAME MODE (feeds left, rants right), themes (black, mono, darkgray, darkblue, comic, solarized), scrollbar plugin (perfect scrollbar, FF only), extended controls, fixed header, sorted userprofiles (by votes), autoreload (recent feed, 180 sec), highlighting new rants (recent feed), personal filter, image preview (mouseover), keyboard shortcuts, timestamps for rants, compact mode, colored notifs with clickable usernames, weekly rant.
I tested the extension with Windows Browsers only.
It would be great to get a feedback how it works with other systems!
Have fun with the toolbox.7
Anyone else loving solarized? Loving it so much that you try to use #002b36 when ever possible? I've even changed my corporates backgrounds colors to fit. Using it for years now and still in love.
Solarized Dark anyone ? In my opinion one of the best scheme ever invented. Even if you don't like just edit it like you want, it will still be solarized dark.3
Does anybody know some good, preferrably rather high-contrast vim-colorschemes? Both light and dark.
Currently testing through tbe base16 collection. Tried solarized but aint my cup of tea.3
FUCKING FLYING FUCK CAN I HAVE A FUCKING SOLARIZED TERMINAL THEME PLEASE???
I literally spent the WHOLE FUCKING afternoon trying to get a decent solarized theme on my console...
Everything bold is NOT the good color! Bold blue or green becomes grey!!
The worst is that I understand why, I just can't seem to find a solution...4
I swear there is something about thinkpads with linux and vim with dark solarized theme that makes me hard... well... you get the point3
Anybody else: Solarized (no affiliation)? Dark and light are so beautiful. Plugged in to terminal, window manager, (neo)vim, statusline (yeah, the Awk thing). Feels so beautiful. Can read shit off it anywhere, and my eyes aren't going any more blind.
P.S devRant team please get post separation up so that I don't have to add a 'question/rant/meme' tag to everything I post. <3 Love u guys!
What text editor do you use AND what color theme are you loving right now? I’m in VS Code and I like “Monokai Dimmed” or “Solarized Dark”3
