Programming smth complex is literally time traveling. My clock goes in these steps:
20:00 -> so much time left
22:00 -> time to wrap up soon
02:00 -> wut? Impossible
The type of projects I do is quite limited to standard library so I also don't spend time on reading docs of some dependency. I make everything myself. Afterwards, I look up what the way to go is how others do it and compare. Mostly, I don't adjust, it's just smth for next time. That's the whole hobby. Just keep going6 -

Non technical people are interesting. Not only do we have to switch to unga bunga language to help them, but they accuse us of man-splaining when we do.5

Hey, I have been noticing you have been in your own head a lot. I just wanted to pull you aside and tell you that it is ok to let go of your doubts and regrets from the past. They are holding you down and aren’t helping you in any way. I admire you for all the difficulties you have faced and beaten, and I’m proud of you.4

People:
- human brain is imperfect, makes too many mistakes
- let's make a computer that could perform perfect precise calculations
- computers are imperfect, require a set of clearly predefined rules [by human] to operate
- let's create a computer that behaves like human brain - an AI

Guess what's gonna be the next entry :)18 -
Anyone else does this?
I can't for the life of me maintain focus during long boring meetings about new designs etc. For 2 years now I've gone by doing all kinds of stuff during meetings and only ocassionaly join in when I totally disagree with something.
Often I only need to chime in at the end anyway, either meeting notes get shared or I ask someone what was discussed the previous day.
Makes me realize how much time gets wasted7 -

Do you remember GAME LOGO programming language where you can move the turtle around the map and draw lines? Someone made a Lisp out of it!

Fucking lazy product managers....
Can't fucking care about renaming a word document....
The document says template you moron. You are supposed to duplicate it for your requirements. Not edit directly on the template.
And fuck whoever gave this moron edit access to a global template.
Fuck....2 -
A man flying in a hot air balloon suddenly realizes he’s lost. ♨💨🎈
He reduces height and spots a man down below.
He lowers the balloon further and shouts to get directions,
"Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"
The man below says:
"Yes. You're in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field."
"You must work in Information Technology," says the balloonist.
"I do" replies the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct, but It's of no use to anyone."
The man below replies, "You must work in management."
"I do," replies the balloonist, "But how'd you know?"
"Well", says the man “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going, but you expect me to be able to help. You’re in the same position you were before we met, but now it’s my fault."7 -
Favorite place to work on your code:
My bed of course I enjoy lying down on my stomach. But then after over an hour when I get up. I walk like this for the rest of the day:
