I think there is a problem with my devrant app icon..

Hai devRant! Working on the privacy app and want opinions on the page for details on specific apps (as in, applications so web/app/mobile or even embedded?!).

Yeah I know that the aligning is deffo not perfect but hey, gotta start somewhere :). Detail: everything you see here (the content and actually also the icon path) is rendered from the database already.

Tips/opinions?

Just a heads up since sometimes these things get missed on new devRant version releases: you can now download images attached to rants by tapping on the "share" icon on the top right of a rant and then selecting "save image". The image will be saved into the gallery on your device.

We've also improved Facebook and Twitter sharing.

Look, icon pack. We need to talk about devRant. You're getting to that age where you need to be respectful, especially towards such a wonderful app. Could you maybe go to the effort of having some icon, even if it's just a simple one? Thanks.

Does anybody else's devRant flash open the closed then open again when they press the app icon on Android?

I want a font-awesome icon for devRant. Would be nice for mine and others' sites. Any designers around to submit as a suggestion for next version (or for other icon libraries)?

I can't believe FontAwesome doesn't have a devRant icon yet... And the request to add it has been there for almost 2 years now :/

DevRant v1.12.3.0 The original icon is way better than the adaptive icon. Pls, no.

I think it is so sad you can't use your devRant icon on other sites. I know you could download them but the whole point is anonymous ranting so if someone know your picture they know who you are. I love the devRant icons <3

!rant && Android

I thought I found something on devrant app turn out it is an Android thing. Not sure if a bug or not.

I use Android 7.1.2 default keyboard . And Google place a small G logo at the top left corner of keyboard. Clicking that show the gif, emoji, language setting etc menu.

On devrant and a few apps I have tried, that G icon remains on the screen in a transparent and almost not visible state but at the same position after hiding the keyboard. Like a watermark.

At first I thought devrant app background has that mark. Even took a screenshot to share here. Turn out it doesn't show up on screenshot. Because when I zoomed in on the image, the icon remained at same position on screen. So it is showing on Google photo app as well.

Any of you guys have that issue?

Some people of devRant are astonishingly stupid.

I post a rant of Ryan Dahl where he says he don't like the unnecessary complexity of modern software. It's an obvious UX rant, but @Crost says that it's about rushing releases and writing sloppy code to "tick the item off my list and solve the problem". @Crost and other boubas, if Ryan's vision was more widespread, macOS, the OS you all hate so much, wouldn't have existed because Linux would have the best UX ever.

I post a rant about Google algo being nasty and throwing triggering shit at me. I previously posted stuff like this, Root confirmed that it works just the way I think it works, it's a manipulative piece of crap. But @Oktokolo says that "The algorithm literally just gives you same of the stuff you just saw", well, I don't know, nice view of the problem for a guy with no computer and no smartphone, @Oktokolo! All that "youtube recommendations gathered us together on some obscure video" comments, and you still don't get it.

I post a rant about how I redesigned a fucking color wheel icon. It shows a "before-after" pic and the colors are obviously the same, but fucking @Oktokolo be popping up again, telling me that I have eye condition (!) that makes me see more blues than yellows.

No wonder you guys don't know how to use CSS, the simplest programming language (yes, it's a programming language).

No wonder smart people like SortOfTested just leave.

I still refuse to believe that devRant user base consists of stupid people exclusively. Perhaps they are just average, and I'm the genius with my Aspergers just getting way more information out of my environment like I always do.

Never understood plastering a laptop in stickers. I do have one devRant one though because without the icon, I think it looks slick.

Finally installed a custom ROM (dirty unicorns) and added a designated devRant icon in the navigation bar because it's the only app I ever use on this phone

Does this mean devRant has no icon for Pie apps switcher?

Or is it only happening to me?

I wish writing devLogs will make me to finish the project, at least a working prototype.

I don't know if anyone else has this issue on devRant, but I don't get the devRant app icon in my notifications the my Apple Watch. Would be sweet if it were fixed.
Though, I see Snapchat and some other apps also don't have the icons

When you download a new android launcher, setting all up, installing a new icon pack, BUT there is always one app which icon differs from icon packs design cause icon creators never thought that I'll use devRant on my Android -_- Anyone helphee?

Oh no, it calculates the position and uses padding-top to change it.

Idea: On Devrant mobile the beginning loading screen should have the users icon. I feel this would be better over some random character that you would never know.
