"Sleep" is the last frontier in high performance computing. Is your code still slow? Just Sleep™, and you'll have your results instantly*.
* Speed benefits apply only to the sleeper. Sleep is not a solution for immediate deadlines.3 -
Breakup really kills the mood to work for a long time eh?
I have a multiplayer minesweeper project in the works. It's great, everything is super slick. Using SASS, Node.JS, MVC design, WebGL... It's a super great, modern project and I am very proud of it.
But I just can't continue it. I open my editor and I just ignore it. I play video games, go outside... Anything except code. It hurts to see myself do this.
I have some great designs for it. You're allowed to play anonymously or logged in. VS mode and everything.
I was going to share the discord link when I launched the alpha... But I think maybe I need to start building a community now so that I can gain my motivation back.
Before the breakup I worked on it daily. I was learning new technologies left and right (SASS being the largest, and WebGL is the next frontier)
It hurts to see. Today after I get off work maybe I will try harder.8 -
Have you heard about the Embrace, Expand and Extinguish idealogy? lets think about it:
Javascript 5 (embrace) -> Typescript and Class syntax to Javascript 6 (extend) -> JS (extinguish) with WebASM.
Atom/Electron (embrace) -> Atom fork named "VSCode" (extend) -> Atom (extinguish) as it was developbed by Github company.
NodeJS (embrace) -> incompatible Node Windows fork with IE/Edge JS engine "Chakra" (extend) -> NodeJS (extinguish soon) with chaos of Typescript, Javascript 6 and Github.
"R" lang (embrace) -> incompatible SQL Server 2016 R lang extension (extend) -> R lang (extinguish soon).
Android -> CyanogenMod (embrace) -> CyanogenMod (extinguish) as M$ "sponsored" Cyanogen Inc to destroy CyanogenMod
Linux (prejudge) -> sponsors RedHat, Debian, SuSE, Alpine and Canonical/Ubuntu (embrace), forces unstable backdoored "systemd" -> Linux (extinguish soon)
Reusing the last image I did because I didnt wanted to make more OC stuff cos the few ++ gained arent worth it5 -

I don't know how it works with my team but almost always I'm the one who is at the frontier when there is a need to migrate to new technology or to do something that nobody in my team knows how to do including me. So usually when we have planning and nobody wants to take the task I take it because someone has to do it. I think it's not my job to only do the things that I know but I'm expected to work outside my comfort zone and I wish others did the same. What happens after I'm done reading docs, testing and learning new thing is that I have to deliver training about it. The funny thing is that I also have to train experts and I'm below expert6

So, to keep a long story short, I am for the second time in my life the proud owner of a Macintosh Performa 6115CD in working order. The original Descent is just as fun as I remember it being—after taking a day to remember the best control configuration for keyboard.
I've got some ideas on how to get it online* so that I can transfer things to it.
Just for fun, however, I've been thinking it might be an interesting project to try and do some programming for it. I got my start on this setup, though not in Objective-C. Anyone happen to know of any free/abandonware coding setups for classic Mac? Running 7.5.3 at the moment.

RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BITCOIN, ETH, USDT WITH THE SUPPORT OF CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
The internet can feel like the wild west, full of danger and hidden traps, and I learned that lesson the hard way when I lost access to my Bitcoin wallet thanks to some sneaky malware. Picture this: I was just minding my own business, innocently clicking on what I thought was a harmless ad, maybe something about a new “must-have” kitchen gadget, when suddenly I found myself staring in horror at my computer screen, realizing I had just compromised my wallet containing a whopping $480,000. Talk about a facepalm moment! It felt like I’d just walked into a bar in a cowboy movie, only to find out the saloon was full of outlaws.
In the midst of my panic, I turned to Cyber Constable Intelligence, hoping they could pull off a miracle. I can’t emphasize enough how much they felt like my personal posse in that moment. Their team was not just professional; they were genuinely empathetic, treating my case with the urgency it absolutely deserved. It felt like I was surrounded by a group of tech-savvy superheroes, ready to tackle the villain that was my lost fortune.
After a few days of nail-biting suspense, I received the call that changed everything. They had not only recovered my funds but had done it faster than I could say “malware disaster.” It was like winning the lottery, only this time, I wasn’t just rich; I was also educated! They took the time to provide me with invaluable advice on safeguarding my wallet in the future, transforming my panic into peace of mind.
I walked away from this experience not only with my $480,000 intact but also with a newfound respect for the importance of digital security. I mean, who knew that clicking on an ad could lead to such chaos? It’s like finding out that your favorite cowboy is actually a bandit in disguise. Thanks to Cyber Constable Intelligence, I can finally take a breath without feeling like my funds are riding off into the sunset.
So, here’s to you, Cyber Constable Intelligence! You’ve not only saved my wallet but have also given me the tools to navigate this wild digital frontier with a sense of humor and a lot more caution. I can’t thank you enough for turning my panic into peace of mind. Next time I see a “too good to be true” ad, you can bet I’ll be remembering this lesson and staying far away
