I FINALLY comprehend list comprehensions.
I can write an unlimited amount of nested loops on a single line and make other less experienced people hate me for fun and profit.
Also learned about map() #I hate it#, zip(which is awesome), and the utility of lambdas (they're okay).
Enumerate is pretty nifty too, only thing I lose is setting the initial value of the iterator index.15 -
Fuck, wanted a year long streak on github but failed at 40 days.
I did code but just had no part finished so didn't commit.
I even have an alarm for committing ffs. I just snoozed it and was like I do it when I finished x. Forgot track of time like always with coding and found out four hours later.
Fuck. Back to one. I just start over, it shouldn't be that hard.
I should change my commit behavior to push if compiles instead of push after complete feature. So, I change the definition of achievement easier to achieve6 -
Gitlab fucking sucks why can't you search fucking code in the fucking search bar. I'd rather sell my ass to microsoft than being such a dumb motherfucker using gitlab2

Idea for a next gen image compression method:
* Put your image into a reverse AI image generator to get the prompt for that image.
* store the text string as the compressed image
* Put the text string into to AI image generator to get back your compressed image.14 -
On the upside, my tests caught that my implementation isn't consistent with the spec. On the downside, holy fuck that is full of gremlins...

Why does programming with JavaScript feel like infecting yourself with and the machine with AIDS? Use a script from some random cdn here, download 46578 npm packages with triple the critical vulnerabilities there.
It feels so disgusting10 -
I finished my software development apprenticeship and aced the presentation about the software I built for the company.
I'm so happy that I no longer have to go to that workplace anymore.
Most people were toxic, rude, incompetent, slow, entitled, insulting, screaming and fake.
Most were uncommunicative.
Management was shit.
CEO was shit.
HR was nice.
But the rest of the devs were ok, kind and helpful.
Now I'm taking a big vacation to calm down from the years of torture before I can start working as a dev again.
That includes motorcycle driving, chilling with my gf and trying out NixOs (wanna see if it is really worth the hype)11 -
two unread emails:
- from HR: please fill out our anonymous survey
- from Boss: don't forget about the survey, HR said you are the last one from our team11 -
There’s a very small crossover between “programming problems I need solved” and “programming problems ChatGPT can solve”. I’ve tried maybe 10 times and got a good answer possibly once of those ten.10

No fuck off we don't need a team meeting about it.
We shouldn't need to go in front of a panel to begin with, let us get on with our job and let us automate the shit so sprint planning wouldn't be so difficult2
