What kind of supercomputer you have to use to get these fucking websites to work smoothly????
I'm on a fucking gigabit connection, ryzen 7 7700x, 32GB ram, and a fucking nvme, all it takes is opening a fucking recipe site and I'm instantly transported back to the 80s. I swear if i see another 4k asset I'm gonna punch something.
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO FUNCTION OVER FORM????
Oh do you want me to disable my addblocker??? How about: you make a site that works you fuck. No i will not fucking subscribe to your brain-dead newsletter why the fuck would I???
And since when are cookies needed for a fucking plaintext site you asshat??? Tracking??? I swear if you could you would generate metadata from my clipped fingernails if it meant you could stick "Big data" next to that zip-bomb you call a website.
I WOULD like to read your article, possibly even watch a couple of ads on my sidebar for you, but noooooo you had to have the stupid fucking google vinegrette or however the fuck they are calling the fucking thing now.
The age of the web sucks the happiness out of life, and despite having all of this processing power, I am jealous of my fathers RSS feeds.
I'm sorry web people, I know it's not your fault, I know designers and management don't give a shit how long a website takes to load. I just wanted to make a fucking omelette.15 -
So the team I joined has been producing garbage software in C# for 10+ years. The solution proposed by the tech lead - start using Java because it’s better than C#, that’s why we have problems. This actually gets signed off by management. Why did I choose this career?19

I found out recently that Facebook is embedding tracking data in the form of IPTC metadata in images that you upload. This way the images can be tracked even after you download them.
Because I'm an anarchist and just want to watch the world burn a little, I made a tiny server to replace the id hash that they embed with a random one, just to see if I can't fuck with their algorithm a little bit.
You can check out the project here https://github.com/watzon/fbmdob15 -
After wasting most of the afternoon trying to fix Visual Studio, I can honestly say is is the worst IDE I have ever had the misfortune to use.
Seems the only way to "fix" it is to erase it and reinstall.

Way to fucking go, Austria wants to push a law that forces online platforms (if possible around the globe) with more than 100k users to provide an accurate way to identify them.
"Name, surname and adress"
I just listened to an interview with a guy who is for that proposal. He said the platforms can just take the data directly from mobile providers, using the phone number. Also, even buying a prepaid sim-cards will require you to provide an identity card.
Way to fucking go! They say it's rather unlikely that this proposal will get approved by the EU, but given the shit they just pulled on us, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest id these fuckers just go with it.
Where is our precious privacy going? Some old pedophiles are taking it away from us, into their sex dungeons I suppose...
Unfortunatelly this is a rather new proposal, so I can't find an english article covering this story attack

My insurance company sending me the payment slip by post with my username and password to the online account for easy access. How sweet of them. 10/10 customer satisfaction.
I see your "Storing passwords in plain text". I raise you to "sending passwords via post in plain text".15 -
Dolphin has an integrated terminal (So that you can run commands in the directory you're looking at) and that's a fantastic feature.23

While watching season 2 of Star Trek Discovery, it was nice to learn SQL is alive and well in the 23rd century. Also, that there are still idiots that don't defend against injection on a warp-capable spaceship with transporter technology.3

Yes. Please. Stop putting hidden files in my home directory. It's not the place for it.
