Optimized a query today. Before it timed out after 10 minutes, now it takes 4.3 seconds. Very proud.13

*Working on app for client*
After review - “Can you make that font bigger?”
*Makes font larger*
After review a week later - “Can you make that font smaller?”
*Puts font back to original size*
Another review later on - “Can you make that font bigger?”
*Keeps font at same size and changes nothing*
Next review - “That new font size is perfect!”2 -
Was on a trip, a holiday of sorts but there was a conference. Turns out alcohol and no sleep turns me into not only a master of code but negotiations as well. Woke up to find all of my work (that I had been procrastinating for about a week) was all done, my contract was extended and I got accept for a higher hourly rate.
ps: I had to redo most of it. Drunk me is not someone you wanna pair program with. -
I once changed all my error messages to say “Processed successfully” because I had a demo yet the software was very buggy.
I bought myself time to fix the bugs later.

Codacy is cool!
It gives my code a grade. So it's like school and university, but much easier since I can just disable all the warnings and get an A.5 -
Just got a job offer for a SysAdmin job at CERN! :D
A big fuck you to the italian philosophy of hiring newly graduated students with shitty contracts and a big win for a simple student that wants to learn from the best :)24 -
If you’re:
- Always tired
- Feeling lost
- Constantly bored
- Indifferent toward the future
Then it’s time to realize you’re going through life on autopilot without any passion.
Find what you’re passions are and pursue them with everything you have. Stop wasting yourself.13 -
