Firefox by far :)
At least as a program I start up my self.
I do use a fair number if other to but no other comes close.1 -
Definitely Git, Node, Composer and PHP at the moment.
It's fucking incredible how you have such tools for free.
The younger generations have it much easier to get into programming.3 -
Like many others: Linux, GNOME, the GNU build tools, Firefox, blender, ...
A few I haven't seen mentioned:
- Liferea
- Kdenlive
- restic/borg backup4 -
- Linux (OS)
- VSCodium (General Coding)
- Godot (Game Dev)
- Krita (Digital art and edits)
- Blender (3D Art)
- LibreOffice (Docs)
- LMMS (Music/Audio)
I'm trying to find OpenSource alternatives to anything creative I do.3 -
Besides firefox and emacs there is also Linux, the library emacs uses to interact with the computer hardware
-
CPU time? Wayland, or Linux.
I/O? Firefox or VSCode. If I'm pedantic about not counting dispatch as usage then VSCode because Firefox is just a mediator between me, the OS and the webapp at hand.2 -
Archlinux
Sway
Alacritty
Neovim
Firefox
And there are Tons of open source projects underneath all of that, that you are not 100% aware of. (Wayland, gtk, qt, zsh, bash, sh, systemd, etc...) -
git
Linux
VLC media player
Inkscape
LibreOffice
Metalsmith js
100's of low-level NPM packages I don't know the name of2 -
tbh I don't keep track but I'm a college student in brazil so probably everything i use lol.
jk it's firefox -
I use so many open-source projects that I don't even know which one I use most.
Probably Linux or Git. I use Linux on all my own personal PCs. I use Git at home and at work. But there's also Firefox...11 -
I was going to say Adminer, but apparently VirtualBox too. I don't know which one I use more.
Also, my own library for DOM manipulation. -
lol, OBS.
also probably the ONLY open-source thing i'm using, in general.
... oh ok, i occasionally use VSCode, but only occasionally since i use it exclusively as a note-taking app regarding my language, since as an IDE it's useless6
