Hired a new backend Dev. He writes a script and sends it for testing...
Tester: "It's not working..."
Backend Dev: Goes to Mongo and deletes the tester's whole profile...
I cant control my laughter every time I remember this incident...He claimed it was a mistake, I don't think that it was a mistake...the tester had it coming...
"It's not working" that's all he says every time...I mean at least give me something to start with...!4 -
"Why are people using Git? It's too complicated. Dropbox can do the same kind of things."

Website design philosophies:
Apple: "...and a really big picture there, and a really big picture there, and a really big picture there, and..."
Microsoft: "border-radius:0 !important;"
Google: "EVERYTHING MOVES!!! And most websites get material design. Most."
Amazon: "We're slowly moving away from 2009"
Wix: "How can we further increase load times?"
Literally any download site: "Click here! No, click here! Nononono!! Click here!!..."
Facebook: "We can't change anything because our main age demographic is around 55"
University websites: "That information isn't hard enough to find yet. Decrease the search accuracy and increase broken links."32 -
I'm opening a case against Lenovo due to their bad warranty support. It's been over a month and a half since I reported an issue with my ThinkPad and they still haven't fixed it. The laptop was bought in September, the case opened in October and in December I still have a faulty screen with which I can't no longer work because it was frying my eyes. Note that this machine has a Warranty Extension for 3 years Onsite next business day repair.
TL;DR if you own a ThinkPad, pray that it doesn't have any hardware issues. If you're thinking about buying one, DON'T!5 -
Does anyone else feel Facebook is hell bent on attacking open source in order to gain a monopoly on it?
They are slowing replacing every industry standard tool with over engineered bullshit and it just gets lapped up like it's the best thing ever...EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME
Fuck you Facebook, i will never support you in your crusade against one of the things i hold closest to my heart.15 -
When somebody demos a new app to the CIO as a functional product but turns out to be a concept prototype made with Origami without any proper code... literally a glorified PowerPoint with animations....3

Help a future Linux convert out!
So far over the past year I've gone through Mint, Fedora, Ubuntu and REHL and all have had their issues or just didn't agree with me. Currently I've been using OpenSuSE Leap I haven't had much an issue with... But I'm looking to try out Arch, though I'm not a fan of the whole CLI install. Doing some more research I saw Antergos which is just Arch but more n00b friendly and more elegant to me. Has anyone had experience with Antergos? Is it as it seems? Any pros and cons with Arch Linux based things? Running it in a VM first doesn't do it justice for me.5
