Would you rather make every software you want but give up coding, or keep coding but always for somebody else's project?5

I think it's incredibly sad that one of the first serious discussions I ever have with my child will be how to Google yourself effectively, to do it at least once a week and how to go about getting certain things removed (If you can) 😕2

When I see a bug in somebody else's code (Gnome):
- "can you please not write bugs!"
When I see a bug on my code:
-"whatever, I'm only human..."

The bad thing about programming is that you can copy paste working code from a previous program on the same machine, same IDE and it still won't give a fuck.. I'm currently here.2

I'm 22 and professional COBOL developer working for a bank, would love to move but money is good.26

I fucking hate that PHPStorm is the only valid option for serious PHP framework development.
It's the opposite of free in every imaginable way: Expensive subscription license, hard to fully customize, closed source.
But there's just nothing even approaching the intelligence of intellisense. There are plugins for Vim, Atom, Sublime and VSCode which try to emulate it, but they are so fucking basic and dumb.

A brilliant article that talks on the state of internet
The Bullshit Web - https://pxlnv.com/blog/...
Tldr: as internet speed increased, page loading time did not decrease because the extra bandwidth is being stuffed with unnecessary big scripts and autoplaying videos.
AMP is nothing more than a business tactic by Google24 -
Oh Arch head
Oh Raven head
Oh Linux fanbase
I want to confess. Please here me!
Today my windows FINALLY successfully update. I was happy that when in an accident I'll require to boot in Windows I'll have less fear of random and sudden restart and applying of updates. But oh great men, I fouled this fearlessness to a greater extend. I was just checking the change logs and, this 01:57 hrs, 3 hrs later, I find myself hearing music on groove music, liking the integration of cortana with edge, groove music, settings and just all....
It's not that I'm loving 'it' more than GNU/Linux but my current installation of GNU/Linux has been fucked so hard by me already that it needs nothing but a reinstall... I'd like to spend a few more time with Windows before I go to bed(I'm sitting on my bed already tho) and promise to never see Windows this way ever again.
I promise
Will I be forgiven?14 -
Me: intern in XYZ company
Boss: boss of XYZ
Boss: Why are you taking so much time in developing a simple webpage.
Me: *explains because you asked for so much bullshit to include**
Boss: I can develop it in half an hour.
Me: *-_-*
Boss: I developed a website in PowerPoint when I was intern.
Me: In PowerPoint? How?... Really..?
Boss: Ya, that's the type of skills I have. You're so lazy, you take so much time to make a simple webpage.
Me: -_-22 -
And a big fuck you to sony mobile, I hope you die soon.
TLDR: sent a weeks old phone for repair to Sony, they asked 450€ because according to their "experts" chassis was bent and main board was busted besides the obvious screen and touch being broken.
It costed less than 400€ including vat.
Out of spite I ordered a replacement screen for 55€, and it's fucking working again, thanks a lot for the offer but I still can replace an lcd myself. Screw your warranty policies, you made a phone that slips like a wet soap.
I've owned xperias all my life, Arc, U, M, Z1 besides all the dumb phones manufactured by Sony/Ericsson.
Guess I'm finding a new brand very soon.4 -
Linux desktop fanboys: proprietary hardware support is a huge issue in all major Linux distros. It is the fault of the hardware companies.
Also Linux desktop fanboys: hardware issues are the fault of the beginner/novice end user.
Windows/mac users: *installs any component they want and has it work flawlessly without even having to read a single word from the manual*32 -
Google removed support for an api and made it paid.
Hold_on.jpg, i used this a while ago
Boots up android studio, the api key is there

Why to most developers who look beautiful are JavaScript developers (looking at you Instagram) and all of them have the MacBook and perfectly clean desk. How's that possible.
If I were to clean up my desk it will take around 45 minutes to complete.21 -
I think I want to fucking cry...
Continuing on my previous rants, for the final exam I may or may not have to use Dev-C++ as IDE. Took a look at cplusplus.com, at an article from *2011*:
"Dev-C++ hasn't been updated since 2005."
I fucking swear, someone needs to nuke that school...10
