(Still remember when my dad used to bring games for me in these floppy disks from his office and my pc had a floppy reader XD)

Upgrading storage.

Windows: Replace HDD with higher capacity.

MacBook Air: Start using SD card slot as external storage.

I really just came across this on a legit apartment rental website.

I can see no possible way for this to go wrong.
No possible way that anyone could exploit this... 🙃

Boss wants me to become lead developer on a huge project; I still consider myself Junior and feel like there is still more for me to learn before I can even accept something like this. The company is amazing and I would love to step into this role but I fear that I will only disappoint.

What would you do? If I should take it; could you recommend resources that would help me level up?

Out of nowhere, someone called me from a jobs board and said that they really liked my profile and that they sent me a job invite and they were in a hurry to get someone new - with my profile exactly. I haven't logged into that jobs board for a couple months, but upon checking, I see that their company sent me an invite and that the working environment was great. Remote first, no daily standups, competitive pay, and the site was legit. So okay, I accept their invite.

The next day I got an email back saying unfortunately they would close the application because they were only hiring people with a couple years experience in some tech... which was listed in my profile in the jobs board.

I'm like lolwut you invited me, don't you turn that around like I'm begging you for a job.

"We need to implement SSO across our legacy apps in 2 weeks. Don't worry about the details just do it. Pretend you're playing football with computers." MFW

Working on a new project for my employer. Just like every project I've done for them, they ask for something incredibly specific, then look at me like I'm crazy when I build it. They ask for something completely different at every meeting, then ask if I can do it in two weeks.

Man, I have no idea what to do about these people.

From a client... "Would [company] supply their banner in an iframe so we could put it on our site."

Had problems with some code, stopped by professor office asking for help, downloaded the .sh from our git and it magically works

Interviewing other devs (for job placement) totally sucks. I never realized what a shitty process hiring people can be.

More than half of the applicants are totally unqualified (good fucking job TekSystems), and those who are seem to be only *just* qualified enough, or have really bizarre portfolios and personalities. I'm glad I'm not in HR.
