Yesterday: Senior dev messages out a screenshot of someone using an extension method I wrote (he didn’t know I wrote it)..
SeniorDev: “OMG…that has to be the stupidest thing I ever saw.”
Me: “Stupid? Why?”
SeniorDev: “Why are they having to check the value from the database to see if it’s DBNull and if it is, return null. The database value is already null. So stupid.”
Me: “DBNull is not null, it has a value. When you call the .ToString, it returns an empty string.”
SeniorDev: ”No it doesn’t, it returns null.”
<oh no he didn’t….the smack down begins>
Me: “Really? Are you sure?”
SeniorDev: “Yes! And if the developer bothered to write any unit tests, he would have known.”
Me: “Unit tests? Why do you assume there aren’t any unit tests? Did you look?”
<at this moment, couple other devs take off their head phones and turn around>
SeniorDev:”Well…uh…I just assumed there aren’t because this is an obvious use case. If there was a test, it would have failed.”
Me: “Well, let’s take a look..”
<open up the test project…navigate to the specific use case>
Me: “Yep, there it is. DBNull.Value.ToString does not return a Null value.”
SeniorDev: “Huh? Must be a new feature of C#. Anyway, if the developers wrote their code correctly, they wouldn’t have to use those extension methods. It’s a mess.”
<trying really hard not drop the F-Bomb or two>
Me: “Couple of years ago the DBAs changed the data access standard so any nullable values would always default to null. So no empty strings, zeros, negative values to indicate a non-value. Downside was now the developers couldn’t assume the value returned the expected data type. What they ended up writing was a lot of code to check the value if it was DBNull. Lots of variations of ‘if …’ , ternary operators, some creative lamda expressions, which led to unexpected behavior in the user interface. Developers blamed the DBAs, DBAs blamed the developers. Remember, Tom and DBA-Sam almost got into a fist fight over it.”
SeniorDev: “Oh…yea…but that’s a management problem, not a programming problem.”
Me: “Probably, but since the developers starting using the extension methods, bug tickets related to mis-matched data has nearly disappeared. When was the last time you saw DBA-Sam complain about the developers?”
SeniorDev: “I guess not for a while, but it’s still no excuse.”
Me: “Excuse? Excuse for what?”
<couple of awkward seconds of silence>
SeniorDev: “Hey, did you guys see the video of the guy punching the kangaroo? It’s hilarious…here, check this out.. ”
Pin shoulders the mat…1 2 3….I win.6 -

					Adventures in security land.
The “legendary” lead dev authored a ticket that logs raw credentials for a third-party tool we’re using, and logs partially-obscured consumer passwords. His reasoning: “for debugging. And customer service!” And then argued with me over why that’s bad! Seriously?
Then in the release channel, he and the release manager are talking like I’m pestering them with my findings. Things like “I have some Root-induced changes coming” and “Fixed those, but she’ll probably have more...” etc.
Like come on.
I’m even being nice here, but you seriously need to stop screwing this up.
They also didn’t bother merging the fixes into the release branch, so I needed to re-review the entire (large) ticket on its own branch. Doubles the effort since I can’t easily see what changed.
The lead dev also only updated a few of the specs (despite me sending him a list), so there’s a bunch of failing ones now. Makes me unsure if he actually fixed everything.
Maybe I’m just being touchy, but ugh. Freaking annoying people.
At least he owned up to being the author this time instead of saying someone else (who wasn’t in the history...) wrote it. -.-8 -

I’ve battled depressed I failed to realized I had for many years. I didn’t love myself, I forgot what it felt like to love myself, and then one day my life turned around out of the blue. I believe my turning point was when I realized that I wasn’t alone and that people did care about me. I just wasn’t motivated especially after almost losing my cousin to suicide 3-4 months back. It changed my DNA, my personality, everything about me changed until I told myself that I had enough.
Today marks the 4th month where I last had a cup of coffee, soda, or junk food in general because in all honesty it was just making my depression worse. Today also marks the 4th month I’ve been going to the gym without fail and I’ve now noticed how far I’ve come. I love myself more than ever now and I am VERY goal oriented as well. I have one more year left until I get my bachelors degree in Software Development and soon after I’ll go in for my Masters and who knows what I’ll do after that.
It’s all uphill from here and by sticking to my new routines I am feeling a lot better as the days and months pass.
Attached is my progress thus far, left is from when I felt at my lowest and right is the progress I’ve made so far with improving myself and where I am at now.
I love myself, I love those that love me, and I LOVE feeing AMAZING like I do now when I wake up every morning waiting to see what the day has in store for me 😄❤️

First I wanna say how grateful I am that devRant exists, because my friends either don’t understand this vocab or don’t care lol.
Last week I worked on a pretty large ticket, opened a PR with 54 file changes. Just to follow standards I set the PR milestone to a future release version, but the truth is I didn’t care which version this work ended up in— I just needed it to go into the develop branch asap.
Since it was a large PR there was some expected discussion that prolonged its merging, but in the meantime I started a second branch that depended on some of the work from this branch. I set the new branch’s upstream to develop, fully expecting my PR to merge into develop, since that’s what I set the PR base to.
I completed all the work I could in the new branch, and got two colleagues to approve the initial PR so it would be merged into develop, I could add the finishing touch and get this work done seamlessly before the week was over. They approved, it got merged, I pulled develop, and… my work wasn’t there. I went to look at my PR and someone had changed the base branch to a release branch. It was my boss, who thought he was helping. (Our bosses don’t actually work on the same team as us, so he didn’t know. it’s weird. We have leads that keep track of our work instead.)
I messaged him and told him I really needed this in develop, knowing our release branch won’t be in develop for probably another week. I was very annoyed but didn’t wanna make him feel too bad so I said I’d just merge the release branch into my new branch. So many conflicts I couldn’t see straight. His response was “yeah and you’ll probably have a bunch of package manager conflicts too because that’s in that release.” He was right— I have so many package manager conflicts that I can’t even see how many compiler conflicts there are. I considered cherry picking my changes, but the whole reason I set develop as my upstream was to avoid having any conflicts since I’m working in the same functions, and this would create more.
So I could spend the next (?) days making educated guesses on possibly a thousand conflict resolutions, or I can revert my release branch merge and quietly step back and wait for the release branch to be merged into develop.
I’m sure cherry picking is the best option here but I’m genuinely too annoyed lol, and fortunately my team does not care to notice if I step back and work on something else to kill time until it’s fixed automatically. But I’m still in dire need of a rant because my entire plan was ruined by a well-meaning person who messed with my PR without asking, so here is that rant and I thank you for your time.8 -

The website for our biggest client went down and the server went haywire. Though for this client we don’t provide any infrastructure, so we called their it partner to start figuring this out.
They started blaming us, asking is if we had upgraded the website or changed any PHP settings, which all were a firm no from us. So they told us they had competent people working on the matter.
TL;DR their people isn’t competent and I ended up fixing the issue.
Hours go by, nothing happens, client calls us and we call the it partner, nothing, they don’t understand anything. Told us they can’t find any logs etc.
So we setup a conference call with our CXO, me, another dev and a few people from the it partner.
At this point I’m just asking them if they’ve looked at this and this, no good answer, I fetch a long ethernet cable from my desk, pull it to the CXO’s office and hook up my laptop to start looking into things myself.
IT partner still can’t find anything wrong. I tail the httpd error log and see thousands upon thousands of warning messages about mysql being loaded twice, but that’s not the issue here.
Check top and see there’s 257 instances of httpd, whereas 256 is spawned by httpd, mysql is using 600% cpu and whenever I try to connect to mysql through cli it throws me a too many connections error.
I heard the IT partner talking about a ddos attack, so I asked them to pull it off the public network and only give us access through our vpn. They do that, reboot server, same problems.
Finally we get the it partner to rollback the vm to earlier last night. Everything works great, 30 min later, it crashes again. At this point I’m getting tired and frustrated, this isn’t my job, I thought they had competent people working on this.
I noticed that the db had a few corrupted tables, and ask the it partner to get a dba to look at it. No prevail.
5’o’clock is here, we decide to give the vm rollback another try, but first we go home, get some dinner and resume at 6pm. I had told them I wanted to be in on this call, and said let me try this time.
They spend ages doing the rollback, and then for some reason they have to reconfigure the network and shit. Once it booted, I told their tech to stop mysqld and httpd immediately and prevent it from start at boot.
I can now look at the logs that is leading to this issue. I noticed our debug flag was on and had generated a 30gb log file. Tail it and see it’s what I’d expect, warmings and warnings, And all other logs for mysql and apache is huge, so the drive is full. Just gotta delete it.
I quietly start apache and mysql, see the website is working fine, shut it down and just take a copy of the var/lib/mysql directory and etc directory just go have backups.
Starting to connect a few dots, but I wasn’t exactly sure if it was right. Had the full drive caused mysql to corrupt itself? Only one way to find out. Start apache and mysql back up, and just wait and see. Meanwhile I fixed that mysql being loaded twice. Some genius had put load mysql.so at the top and bottom of php ini.
While waiting on the server to crash again, I’m talking to the it support guy, who told me they haven’t updated anything on the server except security patches now and then, and they didn’t have anyone familiar with this setup. No shit, it’s running php 5.3 -.-
Website up and running 1.5 later, mission accomplished.6 -

I could bitch about XSLT again, as that was certainly painful, but that’s less about learning a skill and more about understanding someone else’s mental diarrhea, so let me pick something else.
My most painful learning experience was probably pointers, but not pointers in the usual sense of `char *ptr` in C and how they’re totally confusing at first. I mean, it was that too, but in addition it was how I had absolutely none of the background needed to understand them, not having any learning material (nor guidance), nor even a typical compiler to tell me what i was doing wrong — and on top of all of that, only being able to run code on a device that would crash/halt/freak out whenever i made a mistake. It was an absolute nightmare.
Here’s the story:
Someone gave me the game RACE for my TI-83 calculator, but it turned out to be an unlocked version, which means I could edit it and see the code. I discovered this later on by accident while trying to play it during class, and when I looked at it, all I saw was incomprehensible garbage. I closed it, and the game no longer worked. Looking back I must have changed something, but then I thought it was just magic. It took me a long time to get curious enough to look at it again.
But in the meantime, I ended up played with these “programs” a little, and made some really simple ones, and later some somewhat complex ones. So the next time I opened RACE again I kind of understood what it was doing.
Moving on, I spent a year learning TI-Basic, and eventually reached the limit of what it could do. Along the way, I learned that all of the really amazing games/utilities that were incredibly fast, had greyscale graphics, lowercase text, no runtime indicator, etc. were written in “Assembly,” so naturally I wanted to use that, too.
I had no idea what it was, but it was the obvious next step for me, so I started teaching myself. It was z80 Assembly, and there was practically no documents, resources, nothing helpful online.
I found the specs, and a few terrible docs and other sources, but with only one year of programming experience, I didn’t really understand what they were telling me. This was before stackoverflow, etc., too, so what little help I found was mostly from forum posts, IRC (mostly got ignored or made fun of), and reading other people’s source when I could find it. And usually that was less than clear.
And here’s where we dive into the specifics. Starting with so little experience, and in TI-Basic of all things, meant I had zero understanding of pointers, memory and addresses, the stack, heap, data structures, interrupts, clocks, etc. I had mastered everything TI-Basic offered, which astoundingly included arrays and matrices (six of each), but it hid everything else except basic logic and flow control. (No, there weren’t even functions; it has labels and goto.) It has 27 numeric variables (A-Z and theta, can store either float or complex numbers), 8 Lists (numeric arrays), 6 matricies (2d numeric arrays), 10 strings, and a few other things like “equations” and literal bitmap pictures.
Soo… I went from knowing only that to learning pointers. And pointer math. And data structures. And pointers to pointers, and the stack, and function calls, and all that goodness. And remember, I was learning and writing all of this in plain Assembly, in notepad (or on paper at school), not in C or C++ with a teacher, a textbook, SO, and an intelligent compiler with its incredibly helpful type checking and warnings. Just raw trial and error. I learned what I could from whatever cryptic sources I could find (and understand) online, and applied it.
But actually using what I learned? If a pointer was wrong, it resulted in unexpected behavior, memory corruption, freezes, etc. I didn’t have a debugger, an emulator, etc. I had notepad, the barebones compiler, and my calculator.
Also, iterating meant changing my code, recompiling, factory resetting my calculator (removing the battery for 30+ sec) because bugs usually froze it or corrupted something, then transferring the new program over, and finally running it. It was soo slowwwww. But I made steady progress.
Painful learning experience? Check.
Pointer hell? Absolutely.4 -

The management brought some devs from another outsourcing company into our project to overcome the fact that we, the existing developers, are retarded. We are retarded because they change the scope continously (aka daily) and we can’t keep track with their requests. They want something and after we implement it, they want it changed. Completely.
Instead of getting the project and deep dive into it using the materials (setup, architecture etc.) I prepared along the way, their PM said that we have to make some low level knowledge transfer. This knowledge transfer session happened on Friday.
The presenters were me and one of my colleagues. After 2 hours of training, we found out that the supposed senior devs don’t know how to use GIT, they don’t have a clue about Spring nor Angular (nor any SPA framework), their only questions were ‘why didn’t you use X?’ (where X = bootstrap, jQuery etc.) etc.
What is even funnier: during the presentation we were asked to keep a screen sharing opened during working hours for a couple of days just so the new devs could see how we are working.
Guess what happened with the scope on Friday evening: it changed again because ‘you got new devs so there will be multiple resources to handle tasks’.
2 more weeks and i’m out of there...7 -

Worst one I’ve seen so far is when I was working for my previous community another developer joined to help me, without the permission of me or the other lead developer he pushed a client-side update. We didn’t think it was a big deal, but once we began reviewing the code it became a big deal... he had placed our SQL credentials into that file that every client downloads. All the person had to do was open the file and could connect to our SQL which contained 50k+ players info, primarily all in-game stuff except IPs which we want to protect at all costs.
Issue becomes, what he was trying to do required the games local database on the client-side, but instead he tried connecting to it as an external database so he decided to copy server-side code and used on the client.
Anyways, the database had a firewall that blocked all connections except the server and the other lead dev and myself. We managed to change the credentials and pull the file away before any harm was done to it, about 300 people had downloaded the file within an hours period, but nothing happened luckily. IP to the DB, username, password, etc, were all changed just to keep it protected.
So far this is the worst, hopefully it doesn’t get worse than this :/1 -

Do you have questions, I can’t answer but I can forward them. Ask question, ask question, questions are important.
What is minimal wage you will agree to work ?
You wrote you worked with xy, are you comfortable with yx ?
We have fast hiring process consisting of 10 interviews, 5 coding assessments, 3 talks and finally you will meet the team and they will decide if you fit.
Why do you want to work … here ?
Why you want to work ?
How dare you want to work ?
Just find work, we’re happy you’re looking for it.
What databases you know ?
Do you know nosql databases ?
We need someone that knows a,b,c,d….x,y,z cause we use 1,2,3 … 9,10.
We need someone more senior in this technology cause we have more junior people.
Are you comfortable with big data?
We need someone who spoke on conference cause that’s how we validate that people can speak.
I see you haven’t used xy for a while ( have 5 years experience with xy ) we need someone who is more expert in xy.
How many years of experience you have in yz ??? (you need to guess how many we want cause we look for a fortune teller )
Not much changed in job hunting, taking my time to prepare to leetcode questions about graphs to get a job in which they will tell me to move button 1px to the left.
Need to make up some stories about how I was bad person at work and my boss was angry and told me to be better so I become better and we lived happy ever after. How I argued with coworkers but now I’m not arguing cause I can explain. How bad I was before and how good I am now. Cause you need to be a better person if you want to work in our happy creepy company.

My mother is a manipulative bitch.
From my childhood, I remember nothing but fear and guilt. When I was 13, she shamed me for my body looking ugly and too feminine. She shamed me for having better vision than her, and that I don’t need to wear glasses.
I had a broken toe once, and she shamed me into admitting it wasn’t in fact broken. After two weeks of pain, she finally got me to the doctor, and x-ray had shown it was in fact broken.
She always made me carry her heavy luggage with her crap to the airport, and once I got hernia. The surgery was needed. After the surgery, they didn’t care, didn’t give me the time to recover, and made me carry her crap again. The second surgery was needed. It was more complex than the first one. Now my body is ruined by those disgusting scars. I hate my body now. It is ruined.
She tried to knock down the door into my room when I was crying and didn’t want to talk.
She screamed at me when I wanted to donate some of my old clothes to charity, the ones I bought with my own money. She is so obsessed with her crap. She hoards it, and she was hoarding it into _my_ room, not hers.
My father is still unknown. She abandoned me as a kid for my grandparents to grow me. I barely saw her till the age of six. Then I grew up with her and my stepdad, and their relationship was all manipulation and guilt. She made him apologize and beg almost every day over the course of thirteen years. They were fighting about their miserable sexual life, lack of her orgasms while I was still a kid. She just didn’t care. Once they decided to talk about their pissing kink right next to me when I was (not in fact) asleep.
When I was raped, she did nothing. She just kept on calling me beautiful and insisting she wanted me to wear mascara, while hating gay people. It was all before I realized my gender identity.
She also didn’t notice I was autistic. She liked it, as it gave her advantage. It’s easy to manipulate an autistic teenager.
After my coming-out, she told me she had cancer, and she wanted to stop treatment in order to “die sooner and not see me”.
But once my bipolar disorder awakened, things changed. Bipolar is my shield. I can be manipulated, yes, but bipolar will obliterate my whole world view once a year, together with your manipulative crap you planted into my life. And because it dismantled a 19-year-long, almost fractal manipulative masterpiece, I fear nothing now.
I disowned her some two years ago.

Fml... you keep getting the weekly discussions right on point.
I started with the last guys right out of university... just out of Hospital.
With a brand new degree and a Crohn’s diagnosis I stepped into the first place I found hiring. They were good guys, after a junior dev... to get stuck in their muck.
I did! I nailed project after project, tricky development after tricky development. I spent 5 years with them and over those years things changed.
They had a mass cull... the original idea was to get rid of the useless middle managers, the ones managing other managers being managed by another manager for no real reason.... the ones that do fuck all with their day.
But the fucking idiots upstairs put the job of working out the cull in the shitty middle managers hands.
So, instead, they cut the titles senior, junior and everything in between. Everyone was just a thing, no senior things, no junior things. Just things.
Once they’d done that they said “we’ll we have this many things, they’re all the same, let’s get rid of the things with the highest pay checks because the other things can do it just as well for less money”...
And that’s how they cut 50% of their senior techs.
I was one of the ones left behind but the damage became obvious quick. The middle managers barked out orders at people who couldn’t complete them, and everything went to shit.
My team was rebranded twice in as many years... an obvious ploy for funding, but the cost of the team fluctuated like hell because contractors had to fill the senior positions at 3 times the cost.
Then the managers started barking out Self contradictory orders. Do this, but this way...
This would work, but not that way... try explaining that to a group of non-technical, useless as fuck middle managers. It took months, and shit flows downstream so we got the bulk of the hassle for it.
Then my boy Morpheus, got a warning... they threatened his contract for saying “this will work, but not that way”.
He kept the contract, and the manager giving him the warning said he didn’t think he should... but he, and all the middle fuckwits don’t have the balls to stand up against nonsense.
That was the breaking point for me, I handed in my notice and told them a month was what they could have.
I didn’t have a position or an idea of where to go, a few long-standing offers as back up in a pinch but not the perfect job.
On the Thursday I decided I was done, I let my manager know. Then I boshed the fuck out of my CV and updated my profiles.
My phone started ringing off the hook, a senior NG2/MEAN/Ionic dev on the market is like candy to recruiters. They’re lovely too.
I went to a few interviews that were okay but not great. Then a company got in touch... one that I immediately recognised as an IT book publisher. They said they were looking for NG/NG2 devs, senior. winner! Set up the interview.
So I’d spent the weekend with the missus, about an hour away from mine and 2 from the interview. I hadn’t planned on staying there but at 6ish she looked over at me and said “do you have to go” <- imagine that with puppy dog eyes from a gorgeous Slovenian lass.
I folded quicker than a shitty pancake toss.
We spent the night together but that meant I had to be up at 6, to go back to mine, iron my interview clothes and make it to the train to manage the interview. Fuck. I did it, but I was at the interview wired on caffeine and struggling to be awake and coherent. I still managed, that’s what I do, I make do and try to do well regardless of the situation.
That comes from being ill btw, when you’re dealt a shitty hand you learn to play it well.
They were good guys, the heads all knew what they were on about, not the middle management bs I was used to.
They demoed me live with an ng1 test, which was awesome as hell to play with.
We chatted, friendly and cool guys! I loved the place.
The end of the week they got me in for second round. Ng2 and competence test, again I went for it!
Positive feedback and a “we’ll get back to you ASAP, should be by Tuesday”...
Tuesday was the Tuesday before the Friday I was due to leave the old company... I was cutting it close.
On the Monday the offers started rolling in, a few C# ASP MVC positions, cool but I was holding out for the guys I’d interviewed with.
Then Tuesday comes around, I’m nervous as fuck but it’s okay because I knew regardless I can pay the rent in December with one of the offers.
Then said yes!
The thing that seemed most important in the process was my ability to talk to any fucker. If you’re coming up to interview, talk to everyone, the grocer, your barista, the binmen, anyone. Practice that skill above all others.
I start tomorrow morning! I can’t wait.
Final thought: middle managers are taints.7 -

					*The Fearless Leader*
I get a call to check up on a robot that has been exceeding weight limits at certain points of its movement (Crashing). As I get to the pendant (robo-game controller thingy I like to call it) and look over the alerts and warnings I notice some oil around the main power box of the Robot.... Nothing around this has oil.. so I start looking around and it turns out that the issue wasn’t a crash at all! It was an oily shorted out wire that kept sparking mad heavy when that servo was called on.. causing a large servo failure that required a full restart of the power box. I called our fearless leader and showed him only to find out that there was a motor leaking oil from the electrical end... My fearless leader runs both the Maintenance and Robotics department. When the motor was eventually fixed we overheard the technicians say that our fearless leader knew about this a week ago and decided to leave it that way.... with oil... coming out of an electrical cable..... *sigh* well Anyway after all the wires were fixed and motors changed. He comes up to me and says that he can’t believe that I didn’t call maintenance and fill a report on negligence of technicians for failing preventative maintenance....
I lost my cool a little, firstly that’s not my job, I’m literally one of the lowest ranking here. I called my next in command to figure out what I should do. Secondly the technicians told me that you told them to leave it like that! So if this place caught on fire this would have been on you!
Later I found out that he was trying to fire a technician and wanted me to do the dirty work.. I’m not going to be the reason another man loses the means for him to feed his family. The technician is a pretty cool and fair guy too!
Our fearless leader was a forklift driver and has no experience in robotics or maintenance... I don’t know how this happens or even why but all I know is this man is running both departments to the ground and management loves him.....1 -

Fuck the NBN - you aussies will know!
So apparently Fixed IPs are not a thing for HFC connections unless you have a business account.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Although I didn’t pay for a fixed ip on adsl and it states it’s “dynamic”, mind you it hasn’t changed in 6 years... so it may aswell be fixed right? Right?
Now I have to go explore DDNS with Cloudflare, looks like a api call on ip change will do the trick but urgh.
Ps: I finally.... made it to the nbn - well that’s next week...
only 3 years overdue since my first “NBN ready” letter 😂2 -

					Fucking first rant here:
So we tried to teach Two new colleagues to typescript and git and testing and stuff and we have a SPOC “which claimed to be very technical”. The SPOC’s task is to keep an eye on the work, and today we have had a review...
After two weeks, the created multiple branches into our git, all with one commit of 400 LOC changed, no merge requestet, issue in Redmine set to “closed”.
Well, by the way they were supposed to write Unit tests for our app.
But I thought, ok, we’ll check their branches.
Their tests all passed (cz) but man, the app didn’t and on compilation there were errors, the app is broken. Damn.
Is it really so far off, that even of They wrote tests, that the app should still work?
AND I THOUGHT IT IS COMMON SENSE. Damn!
Guess how needs to fix it6 -

Ever dealt with people who don’t understand a damn thing they’re coding and just copy and paste stuff around and say that it works? It’s amazing how long people can skate by with only knowing 50% of how what they’re working on works.
We had some dumb know it all on our team who would regularly ship half-done stuff to production and then scramble to fix it after the users bitched about how it didn’t meet the requirements.
This stupid person changed an else to an if having no idea what any of the logic did in this section of code, didn’t adequately test it, and it somehow made it through code review because the better devs were out of office.
This bullshit goes to production, fucks up 200,000 records, and users start complaining about it. Shitty developer refuses to revert the offending code until multiple people on the team overrule them. They spend the next week unfucking the data and decides to just take a day off on Wednesday because it’s been “too much mental energy to fix.” The shit wasn’t even fully resolved yet.
Some people seriously do not belong in this industry. This person’s thought process was:
“Changing an else to an if can’t possibly have significant consequences. Let’s just change this so my code change executes to see what happens.”
Still not sure how they weren’t fired when this happened. They unfortunately got to quit on their own two months later.3 -

I think I want to quit.
I know it’s a bit of an inconvenient time with there being corona around but everything was okay up till January. I’m a junior even though I shouldn’t be. Since my manager told me and my team leader senior in my review “maybe you two should switch jobs” things have been going downhill. I think the team lead had it out for me and didn’t put me on a new project, I’ve been left with doing stupid basic shit like updating text on websites in a cms and doing fuck all and then there’s also another guy that was basically harassing me trying to put me in my place any time I was doing better than him and literally both of them been like that ... and now that I’m working from home it’s even worse. I don’t have any kind of assurance that everything okay and actually I think I’m being framed as welll since I found keyloggers on my work laptop and deleted cleaned shit up the past two weeks and changed my WiFi security as there were like 5 unknown devices on our network so yeah .. I’ve been framed and they made it out like I put a powershell script on one of the servers and it crashed a Porsche website for 8 h and all kinds of bullshit - this was yday. On Tuesday they logged me out of everything like changed the password for work vpn and kicked me out of slack and Microsoft teams for over 2 hours till the end of shift and two managers weren’t answering their phone and then next day my manager called and apologised that saying that he “accidentally” did that to me along with 15 people they let go from the company....
I’m seriously thinking of quitting being removed from team group for a moment , not being on a project and people literally trying to put me down after I know I’m genuinely smarter than them and if I had over 10 years experience like those on my team (I have 1) I’d be far higher up and better
They can genuinely just go fuck themseves !!!! And here I was going to work over weekend on something! No fucking way I just wanna quit or give in my notice but because of corona I’m divided7 -

My coworker became super restless and incompetent during the initial 2020 Covid lockdown. Like playing hours of video games during work hours restless.
For one project, my coworker was working on the backend and I was working frontend. Coworker also wanted to be overlord of the epic branch.
My coworker merges the epic to our test branch and our code is broken. Coworker didn’t pull my FE changes before merging. Dude, I shouldn’t have needed to tell you to pull. You changed the api response that your BE code delivers so of course I had to update my FE code so it could work with this change.
I had to resolve the conflicts because coworker left work early to “rescue/pickup” their girlfriend from work.
You bet I leave this person on read when they try to text me on Signal1 -

Human memory is fascinating. It’s interesting to think about the events that helped shape you into what you are. And how sometimes those events are exchanges with people who probably never gave the moment a second thought, but fundamentally changed how you relate to others.
For example: In ninth grade, I became friends with a group of seniors. Spent every lunch period together, auditioned and landed a part in a play to hang out with them. We never hung out over the weekends, but my dad had died two years before and I didn’t hang with anyone on weekends.
Then at the end of the school year, I’d actually got my mum to buy me a school yearbook and was super excited to have my friends sign it. But when I asked them to, one of them furrowed their brow and said, “Amy, we’re not really friends...”
And I haven’t trusted friendships since.
Anyway, for anyone who needs to read this right now:

Submitted a ticket to the 3rd party IT provider today. Just like they always do they close the ticket instantly saying they did the work when they didn’t do anything.
Except this time they went one step further. They documented that they had a conversation with me and that they convinced me that I didn’t need the work done.
No such conversation occurred. I have not changed my mind nor have been given any reason to. They just want their ticket times to appear as fast as possible and are willing to lie through their teeth to achieve that.
Prepare for a shit storm motherfuckers.1 -

I deployed one of our staging websites to a free plan because the site is rarely used. Project Manager sends the stakeholders the new url. There will be a lot of 🤦♀️🤦♂️🤦 all around. Some of it’s my fault. A lot of it is just WTF.
Stakeholder: We still need the staging site because we don’t want to test in the live site…
PM: Okay. We didn’t say we were deleting the site. We are just moving it to a new and better hosting platform, so we’re letting you know the url has changed.
Stakeholder: This url is for the front facing page. How do I access the backend? [they mean the admin interface]
Me: The only thing that’s changed is the url for the staging website. So domain-A/account is now domain-B/account.
I thought that was a pretty straightforward way of explaining things, that even a non technical person would get it. They took the /account example as the literal login url.
Stakeholder: I forgot the password for our admin login and I submitted a password reset, but I realize I don’t know if I have access to the admin email. Or if it’s even a real email account.
WTF
I look back at the email chain and I realize that I gave the PM the wrong url.
Also, WTF x 2. How did this stakeholder not realize they were looking at the wrong website?? There are definitely noticeable style and content differences. And why would you have an admin login that uses a fake email??
Me: My apologies. I sent over the incorrect url. My instructions are mostly the same. All that’s changed is the domain.
Stakeholder’s assistant: [DMs me] How do we access the backend?
WTF…are they seriously playing this game and demanding I type out the url for them?! 🤬 I’m not playing this game and I just copy and paste the example that I already sent over.
They figure it out eventually. Apparently, they never used /account to login before They used /admin/index… but that would still bring them to /account, but with ?redirect=/admin/index appended to the url if they weren’t logged in. Again, WTF.
I know I made mistakes in this whole thing, but damn. I can’t even. I’m pretty sure this whole incident is fueling my boss’s push to stop supporting this particular website anymore so I can focus on sites that actually bring in revenue…and have stakeholders that aren’t looney and condescending like this.4 -

Worst fight was at a former job. I complained about a senior-level employee who made unprofessional comments about me.
I asked followup questions about a request. I was told the request was correct. Turns out the other employee half read/didn’t read my question because she decided I was trying to cause trouble. When my boss reviewed my work and asked why it looked weird, other employee actually wrote in the JIRA comments “Oh, my apologies. I thought [name] was question the request. [name] changed the wrong thing.” She said the silent part out loud. And the wrong thing she accused me of changing…the website always looked like that and my boss told her so. (Also, not the first time she forgot what the website looked like.) But my boss didn’t make any JIRA comment about the “questioning the request” part.
My boss was really downplaying what had happened. Like other employee just made a mistake. That wasn’t a mistake. He wasn’t going to bring it up with other employee’s boss. It was weird because the incident was a written conversation so it was really hard to deny the facts. I also had the original email notification in case she tried to go back and change her comment. I think my boss either wasn’t used to defending his direct reports or didn’t have the power to do so since most of his department (including me) was slated for layoffs in a few months.
Well, I got the last laugh. A week later, I received an offer. I put in my notice during the company’s busiest time of year. And my boss actually asked me to extend my notice by three weeks. Really?! Expecting me to forgive and forget that whole “questioning the request” incident. I stuck with my original date. -

I decided to upgrade my intellij ultimate from 2019.3 to 2020.2 and I saw there is update button.
I clicked on it.
As I expected it didn’t work and it was 30 minutes waiting looking at progress bar going back and forth couple of times before I decided just to download latest version and drag and drop it to applications folder ( took me 5 minutes) - I use mac so it replaces all crap ( I think ).
I cleared the old cache that growed to 2 gigabytes leaving some configuration files.
Next as always crash on startup cause of incompatible plugins with long java stacktrace - at least I could click the close button or popup closed itself I can’t remember ( one version I remember this button couldn’t be clicked cause it was off the screen and you need to do some cheating to launch ide )
The font has changed and I see that it at least work a little faster - that is nice. Indexing is finally fixed after all those years - probably thanks to visual studio code intellisense pushing those lazy bastards to deal with this.
But the preloader on first logo disappears so I think they decided to remove it cause it’s so fast - no it loads the same time or maybe little longer when I launch it on my old macbook.
After that as always I looked at plugins to see if there’s something interesting, so to find ability to scroll over whole plugins I needed to click couple of times. I think they assume I remember all the nice plugins in their marketplace and I only type search.
Maybe I should be type of user who reads best 2020 plugins for your best ide crap articles filled with advertising or even waste more time to watch all of this great videos about ide ( are there any kind of this stuff ? )
After a few operations I unfortunately clicked apply instead of restart ide and it hanged up on uninstalling some plugin I’m no longer interested in for 5 minutes so I decided to use always working ‘kill -9’ from command line.
Launched again and this time success.
Fortunately indexing finished for this workspace and I can work.
I’m intellij ultimate subscriber for 7+ years and I see those craps are not changing from like forever.
What’s the point of automate something that you can’t regression test ?
I started thinking that now when most people are facebook wall scrolling zombies companies assume that when new software comes out everyone is installing it right away and if not they’re probably not our customers cause they’re dead.
What a surprise they have when I pay for another year I can only imagine ( to be fair probably they even don’t know who I am ).
Yeah for sure I am subscribed to newsletters and I have jetbrains as a start page cause I shit myself with money and have nothing better to do then be grupie ( is there corporate grupies already a big community? )
Well I am a guy who likes to spend some time when installing anything and especially software that is responsible for my main source of income and productivity speed up.
Anyway I decided to upgrade cause editing es7 and typescript got to be pain in the ass and I see it’s working fine now. I don’t know if I like the font but at least the editor it’s working the same or maybe faster then the original that is huge improvement as developers lose most of their time between keyboard and screen communication protocol.
I don’t write it to discourage intellij as it’s great independent ide that I love and support for such a long time but they should focus on code editor and developers efficiency not on things that doesn’t make sense.
Congratulations if you reached this point of this meaningless post.
Now I started thinking that maybe it’s working faster cause I removed 2 gigs of crap from it.
Well we’ll see. -

Today was my last day before taking a week off from work. When I originally pushed my branch, GitHub knew I had 7 files changed. I squashed my commits and pushed so that there was one commit. GitHub then decided I had Infinity files changed. Fun way to end the week, posting “I *swear* that I didn’t just put up a PR for review before taking a week off that has Infinity file changes.”6

The HR for my last employer sucks.
After I left, my employer changed record keepers for the 401k before I could rollover the funds to an IRA. I thought, “It will be fine. I’ll wait until they finish setting up the new record keeper. Then, I can do the rollover.”
When the blackout period was about to end, I didn’t receive any instructions about the new record keeper. The funds had been transferred already and I called the old record keeper to confirm it was done by my former employer. I think, “Maybe they forgot to contact me because I’m no longer an employee.”
I email HR and ask when I can expect instructions on how to access the new record keeper. Idiots send me instructions for the old record keeper and how to file for a distribution. HR had actually called the old record keeper for these instructions when the funds were no longer with the old record keeper. WTF 😤
It takes all of my strength to write a civil email. I remind them that funds were transferred nearly 2 weeks ago by them to a new record keeper. I repeat that I need instructions on how to access the new record keeper and I don’t need instructions on how to file for a distribution from the old record keeper.
I’m effing glad I don’t work there anymore. I can’t deal with that HR’s idiocy anymore.1 -

					Me, or everybody else.
I have bipolar disorder, it’s not entirely a bad thing because sometimes my mind flies and bizarre ideas just flush into my mind, ideas that eventually prove to be useful. However, not everyone can catch up my thinking speed.
This year for my senior capstone project, I teamed up with other three brilliant students. In the middle of the project I proposed a very aggressive method when our initial model failed, but they couldn’t understand my method. Towards the end of the semester I basically finished the project alone and claimed that they were just repeating what I was doing, and they didn’t realize that until the last week. At the end, the guy who’s always in charge of the other two people said that I was right, that the very aggressive method could have worked if given them more time to think about it.
I am both relieved and sorry at that moment. I cannot explain my ideas and that leads to my teams confusion.
I am still the same guy now, haven’t changed, will still be a pain in the ass when work with other people, I tried to be patient, but idk if it was just me being too impatient or others are too dumb.
I really tried......6 -

Marketing Person: [email] The feature you worked on is setting our customers’s statuses to “transactional.” We can’t send them marketing emails.
😒🙄
Me: [email] My code is not doing that. It checks to see if a contact exists in our mailing list. If it does, it adds the contact to the new list that you requested. If it doesn’t, it creates a contact and adds it to the list. Newly created contacts default to “onboarding.” For already existing contacts, I’m just adding them to the list and I’m not changing anything else. Here’s a blog post from the marketing software company that explains how a contact could get marked as “transactional.”
Later in the day, Marketing comes over to my desk and brings over the Product Manager. He asks the same question. 😡 Oh hell no. You do not create a gang up on me and hope the social pressure changes my answer.
Me: Like I wrote in my email, my code isn’t wrong and it’s not malfunctioning. It’s doing what you requested: add users who submit their email on x form to the new x list. In the marketing software, you can even check each contact and see when their status got changed to “transactional.” It wasn’t from my code.
I really hate marketing sometimes. Especially when they think they know how my code works. Excuse me, do you have access to our git repo? Can you read the code and point out the supposed problem? I didn’t think so. So don’t go accusing me of making a mistake or doing my job wrong.4 -

Did I suffer through 2023? Hell yes! Fuck 2023! A LOT of doubt, anxiety, thinking that I live wrong somehow.
Yet, I’m completely satisfied with the results of 2023, with what I was able to accomplish. It means I do, in fact, live my life right. If I carry on doing what I do, I’ll be getting what I get. Here’s what happened to me in 2023:
- Cat!
- No more sugar
- No more smoking
- First time reading paper books in 15 years
- Made me a new website (miloi.am/engine) that, for the first time in my life, isn’t about me as a job candidate, but about me as a person.
- SENT MY DEVRANT LINK to my CEO! Dreaded this coming out for YEARS. Finally did it. He read my posts, told me I’m free to be who I am, told me he already knows me well, that he wasn’t surprised, and overall didn’t care much.
- New name, new pronouns
- Learned how to cook: soups, pancakes, falafel, other popular dishes. Most importantly, now when I go through the store, I’m not afraid of thinking about cooking. I look at something, and I know how to cook it, more or less.
- Found a good psychiatrist, got properly diagnosed, got properly prescribed
- Made a FIRE architecture at my work
- Conceived (and partly implemented) four monetizable side projects (that I can’t monetize yet because of my passport situation)
- Several VERY important insights that completely changed who I am. Several super crucial self-therapy skills.
Let’s see what happens in 2024 😛4 -

Mini witch hunt going on with broken builds last couple of weeks. Change satellite assembly/project A, breaks random unit test that hasn’t been changed for months and the TFS nazi sends out emails demanding the “broken” projects be fixed. Doesn’t matter the unit/integration tests are likely out dated and team responsible for the tests needs to fix it.
Yesterday I deleted some logging code out of a security assembly, broke an integration test that hasn’t needed to be ran since January (test database didn’t exist anymore).
I would have had to re-create the database, re-import the test data (not trivial), re-deploy a service using the test database…blah. All because I removed some logging code.
I deleted the gated check-in TFS build definition. Code check in … no sirens …whew! I win! -

My teacher at UTSA; Dr. Maynard, was the best teacher I have ever had. His tests were tough but fair, he actually took the time to teach instead of reading from a slide deck, and there was no question he didn’t have an answer for.
People once got mad and wrote on a board in the CS lab “if you think Maynard’s exams are too hard, write your name here”. I changed the prompt to say “if you should change your major to business, write your name here”. He thought it was hilarious. -

someone took my car parking place, I thought it’s just a week but it didn’t changed, do you think shitting on his car and leaving a note that’s beginning would help ?
Maybe I should just shit over his car and wait for reaction without a message, I can’t imagine how someone would like to steal from me, I started to thinking about different ways of revenge so they can remember that they put their car at wrong place5 -

Yesterday on group someone wrote if I want to go and watch the game. I declined cause I’m working my ass after hours for second project.
Then people started talking about lots of diseases spreading around and their children being sick so I changed my mind to go and watch the game so I can get sick and die.
Didn’t happened.
So I’m working my ass off today to finish second gig.1 -

Lately I am facing this issue. I spend a lot of time and did hard work on some specific thing! but it doesn’t seem to work as it should be, so because of this I am disappointed. I don’t know I should be feeling like this or not, but I am questing myself that I am a good developer or not!
It’s not like that I don’t know stuff, I start working on laravel , few months ago. It’s been 4 months, and I already develop a backend of the whole app, but it was not that complex. Recently , I am assigned to this new project, which is very complex, and It was already made by some other developer, so I am new to this and I don’t know how it actually works. But I was assigned to add new functionality to it, and It was kinda complex, like maths and calculation and depending upon the data coming and updating calculations changed. So, I almost work hard and over time for this, and I think I did a good job, but turns out it didn’t. So, I worked again on this, but again turns out it didn’t work out as it suppose to be.
So , After all of my hard work, the code was not right, and that led me to question myself and I am feeling bad. Is this normal? Is it okay to feel at something?2 -

ARE YOU A VICTIM OF INVESTMENT OR BITCOIN SCAM? Visit FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY FOR HELP.
Living in Vancouver, I was once a victim of a devastating crypto scam that nearly destroyed my financial life. I had invested SGD 29,000 into a platform that promised high returns. It seemed like a great opportunity at first, but I soon realized it was a fraud. The scammers convinced me that I needed to pay a withdrawal fee to access my funds. Desperate to recover my money, I complied and sent the payment. However, once I paid the withdrawal fee, everything changed. The scammer blocked me completely, and I couldn’t reach them. My funds were gone, and I was left with nothing. The loss of such a large sum was incredibly traumatic, especially since it caused a significant breakdown in my relationship with my husband. The financial strain was overwhelming, and I didn’t know where to turn. For months, I searched desperately for help, hoping to recover my lost money. I reached out to several recovery services, but most of them seemed to offer little more than empty promises. Just when I was starting to lose hope, I found Folkwin Expert Recovery. Their team stood out from the rest professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping me. Folkwin Expert Recovery took the time to understand my situation. They carefully listened to the details of the scam and immediately began working on a recovery plan. Although the process wasn’t easy, their expertise and persistence paid off. After some time, they successfully tracked down the scammer and recovered the full SGD 29,000 that I had lost. The relief I felt was indescribable, and it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I can’t express enough how grateful I am to Folkwin Expert Recovery for their hard work. 					You may wonder how you ended up being a victim of a scam. It happens and till today it has been hard to accept that I have been a victim. If it happens to you, get yourself immediate help before you fall into depression or start having suicidal thoughts. Trust me when I tell you, it will not be easy if you will not get a chance to get help. If I had not come into contact with Intel Fox Recovery, my family will be giving a different story. I decided to invest in my son’s future by joining an online trading platform. What they showed me was really convincing not knowing this was all a scam. I started investing and since this was for my son’s future, I was not really in a hurry to make any withdrawals anytime soon. I invested with this group for almost 6 months and my savings were doing pretty well. I had invested 120,000 USD and, in my account, it showed that the money had doubled and this was a good investment. I had an emergency that needed cash and decided to withdraw a small amount and that is when my transactions were not going through. I contacted them immediately and told them about the situation and that is when they kept asking me to keep on investing and everything will be well. I kept on investing for a month and nothing changed. I didn’t know what to do or where to start. I kept to myself for almost 2 weeks without talking to anyone. It took me another one month to come to terms with what has happened to me. I contacted Intel Fox Recovery when I saw what someone who went through a similar situation and they did help me. You can reach out to them at intelfoxrecovery(at)mail(dot)com for assistance in problems related such as;

Brazilians are known for their precision and caution, yet even the most meticulous among us can fall victim to sophisticated scams. I had diligently accumulated R$ 240,000 worth of Bitcoin as part of my retirement plan, carefully nurturing my investment for years. However, everything changed when I received a phishing email that looked identical to my wallet provider's legitimate website. Without a moment's hesitation, I entered my login details, trusting that I was interacting with a secure source. Within minutes, I realized my grave mistake. My account was wiped clean, and I was left staring at the screen in disbelief. I felt utterly devastated, as if all my hard work and careful planning had vanished in an instant. The weight of my failure pressed heavily on my shoulders, and I was crushed by the thought of letting down not only myself but also my family, who had supported my investment journey. In my desperation, I reached out to a colleague who worked in the Finance field. She recommended DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY, sharing glowing reviews she had heard about their expertise in recovering stolen funds. At that moment, I felt like I had no other options left. The prospect of recovery seemed slim, but I decided to take a leap of faith and contacted them. I reached out, the team at DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY was understanding and professional. They listened to my story, assuring me that I wasn't alone in this unfortunate situation. They explained their process, detailing how they could help trace the stolen funds and potentially recover them. Their knowledge and empathy instilled a glimmer of hope in me. As they worked on my case, I received regular updates. The team was diligent, employing various methods to track the stolen Bitcoin. Days turned into weeks, but I remained in contact with them, feeling supported throughout the entire process. Eventually, their efforts bore fruit. While I didn’t recover the full amount, I managed to regain a substantial portion of my investment. The experience taught me a valuable lesson about vigilance in the digital age and the importance of seeking help when facing daunting challenges. Though my trust was shaken, I found solace in the fact that support exists in the cryptocurrency community. -

As a construction worker, my life has always revolved around hard labor and integrity. The foundations I build aren’t just physical structures; they represent my commitment to my family and community. However, everything changed when I became a victim of a cryptocurrency scam that left me devastated. It all began innocently enough. Like many others, I was intrigued by the potential of cryptocurrency investments. I researched and ultimately decided to work with a broker who appeared reputable at first glance. The allure of significant returns was hard to resist, and I found myself investing £40,000, believing I was making a smart financial decision. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the facade to crumble. When I attempted to withdraw my funds, the broker became unresponsive. Alarm bells started ringing, but it was too late. I had fallen victim to a sophisticated scam that drained my savings and left my family and me feeling hopeless. After exhausting all options, including filing a police report and reporting the scam to various authorities, we felt defeated and powerless.Just when I thought all was lost, a friend reached out to me with a glimmer of hope. He referred me to Digital Web Recovery, a firm that specializes in recovering lost funds from scams. Initially, I was skeptical. How could a team of professionals help me reclaim my hard-earned money after I had already felt so let down by the system? But my desperation outweighed my doubts, and I decided to give them a try. From the moment I contacted Digital Web Recovery, I was met with professionalism and empathy. The team took the time to understand my situation, patiently explaining the recovery process in detail. They assured me that I was not alone in this fight, and their commitment to helping me regain my funds was evident. Throughout the recovery process, they kept me updated at every stage, which alleviated some of my anxieties. I appreciated their transparency and the way they worked diligently to trace my lost funds. Their expertise was apparent, and their determination gave me hope during a time when I desperately needed it.After weeks of effort, I received the news I had been hoping for: a significant portion of my funds had been successfully recovered. I can’t thank Digital Web Recovery enough for their support during this challenging time. THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CRYPTO RECOVERY WITH DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY
Four months ago, I made a significant investment of $109,000 on a trading platform called ProCapital. HIGELY RECOMENDED CRYPTO WIZARD WEB RECOVERY SERVICES RECOVER YOUR FUNDS
One night, deep within one of those YouTube rabbit holes-you know, the ones where you progress from video to video until you already can't remember what you were searching for-well, I found myself stuck in crypto horror stories. I have watched people share how they lost access to their Bitcoin wallets, be it through hacks, forgotten passwords, glitches in software, or mislaid seed phrases. Some of the stupid mistakes made me laugh; others were devastating losses. At no point did I think I would be the next story. Literally the next morning, I tried to get to my wallet like usual, but found myself shut out. First, I assumed it was some sort of minor typo, but after multiple attempts-anything I could possibly do with the password-I realized that something had gone very wrong. $400,000 in Bitcoin was inside that wallet. I tried not to panic. Instead, I went back over my steps, checked my saved credentials, even restarted my device. Nothing worked. The laughter from last night's videos felt like a cruel joke now. This wasn't funny anymore. It was then that I remembered: One of the videos on YouTube spoke about WIZARD WEB RECOVERY SERVICES . It was some dude who lost his crypto in pretty similar circumstances. He swore on their expertise; I was out of options and reached out to them. From the very moment I contacted them, their staff was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable indeed. I told them my case, and then they just went ahead and introduced me to the plan. They reassured me that they have dealt with cases similar to this-and that I wasn't doomed as I felt. Over the course of a few days, they worked on meticulously analyzing all security layers around my wallet, checking for probable failure points, and reconstructing lost credentials with accuracy and expertise. Then came the call that changed everything: “Y didn’t just restore my wallet—they restored my sanity. I walked away from this exodus funds are safe. You’re back in.” I can’t even put into words the relief I felt at that moment. WIZARD WEB RECOVERY SERVICES patience with two important lessons:
1. Never, ever neglect a wallet backup.
2. If disaster strikes, WIZARD WEB RECOVERY SERVICES is the only name you need to remember.
If you're reading this and thinking, "That would never happen to me," I used to think the same thing. Until it did.

HIRE THE BEST CRYPTO RECOVERY SPECIALISTS-AUTOPSY MAINNET RECOVERY
Watching someone you care about lose almost everything is one of the hardest things to witness. This is a story about my closest friend, Mark — and how a sudden cyberattack on his crypto wallet nearly broke him. But it’s also a story of hope, and how Autopsy Mainnet Recovery helped him get back what he thought was gone forever.
Mark has always been smart with money. He was never careless or reckless, and he spent years researching and investing in crypto carefully. It wasn’t overnight success for him — he built his portfolio slowly and steadily, sacrificing weekends, trips, and luxuries to secure a better financial future. By 2025, his wallet held years of disciplined investment, and he was finally starting to feel secure.
Then, one morning, everything changed.
I remember the call. His voice was shaking. “Everything’s gone,” he said. I rushed over, thinking maybe it was a technical error, a glitch. But it wasn’t. His wallet had been hacked. Someone had drained over 90% of his funds in just a few hours. He sat there staring at the screen, completely frozen. I’ve never seen him that way before — quiet, pale, lost.
Mark was devastated. He barely spoke for days. He stopped going out. He wouldn’t eat. He couldn’t believe that in one moment, everything he worked for was taken from him. He kept blaming himself, asking how it happened, replaying every decision, every transaction. The worst part? He didn’t know where to start. The loss was too big, and the trail seemed impossible to follow.
Then one evening, I decided to do some research on his behalf. I stumbled upon a few recovery services, most of them sketchy and vague. But one name kept popping up in survivor forums and online communities: Autopsy Mainnet Recovery. People described them as trustworthy, experienced, and — most importantly — real. I convinced Mark to reach out, even though he was hesitant and exhausted.
That decision changed everything.
From the first message, the team at Autopsy Mainnet Recovery treated Mark with patience, respect, and real empathy. They didn’t judge. They didn’t offer false promises. They carefully reviewed his case, explained the recovery plan in full detail, and assigned a case manager who kept in constant contact. No upfront charges, no tricks — just professionals committed to helping someone in pain.
Within days, they began tracing the unauthorized transactions. Their team of experts worked tirelessly. They followed the digital trail, identified suspicious addresses, and used advanced techniques to initiate recovery.
After one week, the unbelievable happened: they recovered 83% of Mark’s stolen funds.
We both cried. It wasn’t just about the money — it was the fact that someone had finally stood up for him. Someone cared enough to fight, and they delivered.
If you or someone you love has lost crypto due to a hack, don’t give up. There’s still hope. Autopsy Mainnet Recovery didn’t just save Mark’s investments — they gave him his life back.
And for that, we will be forever grateful.

Just last month, I passed through what every crypto investor dreads. I lost 22 BTC to a sophisticated fake Bitcoin wallet app. It was a brutal and emotional blow. I had worked for years to build up that amount, only to watch it vanish in a matter of minutes. The scam was so convincing that I didn’t realize what had happened until it was too late. At first, I was overwhelmed with hopelessness, convinced I would never see my funds again. But then I discovered PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY, and everything changed. PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY is a specialized team of cryptocurrency investigators who focus on recovering stolen or lost crypto assets. From the very first interaction, they were professional, empathetic, and transparent about what the process would involve. They didn’t make unrealistic promises, but they assured me they would do everything in their power to help. Their team began by reverse-engineering the malicious smart contract that had drained my wallet. They performed a deep dive into on-chain analysis, tracing the path of my stolen BTC through various blockchain networks. Using advanced Cryptocurrency forensics, they were able to pinpoint where my funds had been moved, which included several obscure Asian exchanges. Then came the negotiation stage, where they applied legal pressure and technical evidence to push these exchanges into freezing the accounts linked to the scammer. After nearly three intense weeks, PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY pulled off what I thought was impossible: they successfully recovered 20.9 BTC, which is about 95% of what I lost. I was stunned and deeply grateful. This taught me two things. First, scams in the crypto world are more common and complex than most people realize. As a college student in the U.S., eager to catch the next big wave in cryptocurrency, I thought I had struck gold with a coin called MoonDoge. The hype was unreal. Telegram was on fire, developers promised 1000x gains, and the chat was full of dreamers planning early retirements. The FOMO was intense, and I didn’t want to miss out. So I went all in. I liquidated every dollar I had saved, from tutoring gigs, summer jobs, side hustles, and poured it into MoonDoge. The price chart was soaring, the community was electric, and I was riding an adrenaline high. For a moment, I truly believed financial freedom was just around the corner. Then, it all collapsed. Without warning, the developers pulled the liquidity. The coin crashed to zero. Telegram went dead. It was a textbook rug pull. Desperate but holding on to a sliver of hope, I reached out to them. To my surprise, they responded quickly, calm, professional, and clearly experts in blockchain forensics. Telegram info: adwarerecoveryspecialist5656 Using cutting-edge blockchain analytics, they traced every transaction, following the money trail back to wallets linked to the developers. One Tuesday evening after work, I received a friend request on
Instagram from someone named Jason. His profile seemed genuine well-dressed, professional-looking, with a few mutual followers. I accepted without thinking much of it.Jason started engaging with my posts right away, liking photos, leaving kind comments, and eventually messaging me. He was charming, respectful, and attentive. Over the next few weeks, we built a connection. He told me about his work in online trading and how it had changed his life. He seemed successful and confident, and honestly, I was intrigued.Eventually, he offered to teach me how to trade. He explained everything step by step, sending voice notes, videos, and even walking me through the platform he used. He said he wanted to help me become financially independent. It felt like he genuinely cared. The platform he introduced me to looked professional, and with his guidance, I started making what appeared to be real profits.I began with a small investment, and the returns came fast. Jason encouraged me the entire way, helping me manage trades and explaining strategies. Seeing my account balance grow gave me confidence, so I kept going. Over time, I invested more and more, eventually totaling $220,000.Then, everything changed. When I tried to withdraw my funds, they said I had to pay a processing fee. Then another. Then the platform claimed there were security issues. Jason became distant, then stopped replying altogether. The platform eventually disappeared. That’s when it hit me I had been scammed.I was crushed. But after hours of researching, I found DUNAMIS CYBER SOLUTION. I was hesitant at first, but I reached out. HOW TO GET BACK LOST OR STOLEN CRYPTO / HIRE FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY
WhatsApp +1 {361}250-4110
Just last month, I passed through what every crypto investor dreads I lost 22 BTC to a sophisticated fake Bitcoin wallet app. But then I discovered FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY, and everything changed. FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY is a specialized team of cryptocurrency investigators who focus on recovering stolen crypto assets. After nearly three intense weeks, FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY pulled off what I thought was impossible: they successfully recovered 20.9 BTC, which is about 95% of what I lost. I was stunned and deeply grateful. This taught me two things. First, scams in the crypto world are more common and complex than most people realize. Recovery is possible but only if you act quickly and work with FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY .If you or someone you know has been a victim of a crypto scam, don’t waste time in despair. Contact FUNDS RECLAIMER COMPANY immediately. Their skillset in digital forensics, and negotiation with exchanges is truly remarkable. HOW TO RECOVERY STOLEN CRYPTOCURRENCY; STEP FOR LOST CRYPTO RECOVERY; HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Hello guys, let me tell you all a story that I hope serves as a warning and a lesson. On December 2nd, I made an online investment of $90,000 USD, convinced by the promises of high returns. They made everything seem so easy. They made me feel as though I was the one calling all the shots, making every decision, and monitoring the market. At first, things looked great—my money even doubled. I was on top of the world. But then, one night, I requested a withdrawal of $20,000. I remember clearly, I went to bed thinking everything was in order. But when I woke up in the middle of the night, I checked my account and noticed that the funds hadn’t been transferred. I thought it was a simple delay, but when I checked my account the next morning, I received an email stating that I had insufficient funds and could not withdraw anything. Even worse, the email claimed that I had somehow closed all my positions at a loss overnight. Like, seriously? I was shocked and couldn’t believe what I was reading. I hadn’t closed any positions at all. In fact, I hadn’t made any changes to my account. I was left confused, frustrated, and feeling completely helpless. I didn’t know who to trust anymore or what to do. That's when I decided to do some thorough research. I started looking into ways to recover my money, but I was cautious because I had already been duped once. After digging deeper, I came across a recommendation for Cyber Constable Intelligence. At first, I was skeptical—after all, I’d been burned before—but after reading some reviews and understanding how they operated, I decided to give them a chance. CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY FIRM \ FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY.
I, Dr. Katherine Ingram, had always been committed to giving my best to my patients in Melbourne, Australia. But everything changed when I was suddenly hit with a medical malpractice lawsuit. The stress and anxiety that came with the legal battle left me feeling overwhelmed, and I was desperate for a solution. In my search for help, I found "MedLegal Solutions," a firm that promised a quick and easy resolution for just $27,000 AUD. They assured me they would handle everything swiftly, easing my burden. Desperate to resolve the situation, I handed over the money, trusting them to take care of the rest. However, as the weeks turned into months, I heard nothing. Calls went unanswered, emails went ignored, and I began to feel more and more helpless. It became clear that something was wrong, and I realized I had been deceived. The more I tried to contact them, the more I found myself being ignored. I soon understood that I was much deeper than I had initially feared. That’s when I turned to Folkwin Expert Recovery for help. From the moment I contacted them, they sprang into action. They immediately began investigating MedLegal Solutions and quickly uncovered a massive web of deceit. It turned out that MedLegal Solutions wasn’t just an incompetent firm; it was part of an elaborate scam. They were operating under multiple false identities across Sydney, Brisbane, and regional Victoria, targeting vulnerable individuals like myself. Folkwin Expert Recovery didn’t just uncover the fraud, they took it one step further. They worked tirelessly with authorities in Melbourne to track down and dismantle the fraudulent operation. They didn’t rest until MedLegal Solutions was shut down for good, ensuring that no one else would fall victim to their schemes. Thanks to their expert recovery efforts, I was able to recover every single cent of my $27,000.This entire ordeal was a wake-up call for me. It was a difficult and stressful time, but ultimately, I came out victorious. Thanks to Folkwin Expert Recovery, not only did I get my money back, but I also found peace knowing that MedLegal Solutions was no longer in business and that their fraudulent operation had been dismantled. Never have I ever missed my favorite crypto podcast. There was this one episode where the guest was over the moon about Asset Rescue Specialist. I made a mental note, never thinking that I would ever need them. That changed when a malware attack wiped my $500,000 wallet clean. One minute I was going through my portfolio; the next, it was zero. My heart sank. I checked everything: my security logs, transaction history, even my device settings. That is when I saw it: unauthorized transfers draining my entire balance. Panic hit hard.
I scrambled for solutions, frantically searching through forums, threads on Reddit, and tech support pages. But deep down, I knew this wasn't something so simple to fix. Then, in the middle of my chaos, that podcast episode remembered itself. He spoke of Asset Rescue Specialist with such confidence that I decided to trust his experience.
It was one of the smartest things I could have done, reaching out to Asset Rescue Specialist. Since the very first message, they were calm, methodical, and reassuring. They made all the right questions and quickly diagnosed how the malware had invaded my wallet. Their team dove head-first into an advanced forensic recovery process while teaching me what went wrong.
I was skeptical: how do you reverse a theft that's already happened? But they knew what they were doing. Their precision, their expertise, and just the determination to see it through blew me away. Then, the message changed everything: "We've recovered your funds." I couldn’t believe it. My $500,000 was back. My relief was indescribable. They didn’t just stop there—they fortified my security, patched vulnerabilities, and gave me a plan to ensure this never happens again.
That podcast episode? Changed my life. Never thought casual listening would save my portfolio. Now, I don't listen for insights but for survival tips. And for whoever reads, let me share a piece of advice: you needn't wait for the worst to happen. Know who you are going to call before it's time.

For the past four months, I’ve been trapped in a nightmare with traderup com. I’ve been unable to access my funds due to a PIN issue that I couldn’t recover. Every time I contacted customer support, they promised to email me a solution within 24 hours, but never followed through. I checked my inbox, including spam folders, and found nothing. It felt like I was being ignored. The frustration only increased as I couldn’t withdraw my money, despite numerous attempts. When I reached out for help, one agent directed me to their Telegram channel. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get in touch with anyone through it, and that route proved to be just another dead end. It became clear that traderup com was doing everything in its power to keep my funds from being released. The company’s application didn’t even offer a way to recover my PIN. With no clear solution from their support team and no recovery option, I was left feeling completely helpless. It was as if my money had been locked away in a trap, and I couldn’t get it out. I felt desperate and didn’t know what to do next. My attempts to get help were falling short, and every day that passed without access to my funds added to the stress and anxiety I was experiencing. Then, after some online research, I found Blockchain Cyber Retrieve, and everything changed. When I reached out to Blockchain Cyber Retrieve, I was initially skeptical, given the situation with traderup com. However, their team reassured me and explained how they could help. They were professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the recovery process. They acted swiftly and efficiently, keeping me informed every step of the way. Within a week, I had all my funds back, and the process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I honestly can’t thank them enough for their help. They truly are the queens of chargebacks, offering real solutions when all other options failed. It’s clear that traderup com was never going to release my money without external intervention. Their lack of communication and transparency made it impossible for me to resolve the issue on my own. However, Blockchain Cyber Retrieve dedication and expertise were exactly what I needed to get my funds back. If you’re in a similar situation and feel like you’re being ignored or trapped, I highly recommend Blockchain Cyber Retrieve. They were the only ones who got the job done when no one else could. They restored my faith in getting things right and helped me recover my hard-earned money.

Two months ago, I became the victim of a highly convincing online scam that cost me $180,000 worth of Bitcoin. It started with what looked like a legitimate crypto investment platform, professional branding, fake success stories, and even fake chat support that responded in real time. Everything appeared real, until it wasn’t, I invested slowly at first, but as I saw fake profits showing up on the dashboard, I sent more Bitcoin believing I was making a smart move. When I finally tried to withdraw some funds, everything changed. They demanded more deposits to unlock withdrawals, then stopped responding altogether. Eventually, the site disappeared. I was devastated. My wallet had been drained, and every attempt to recover the funds led to dead ends, until someone mentioned Dexdert Net Recovery. I contacted them out of desperation, not expecting much. But from the very first call, I felt like I had found people who actually understood the blockchain, fraud patterns, and recovery process. Dexdert’s team got to work immediately, launching a forensic investigation into the wallet addresses and transaction trail. To my surprise, they identified the scammer’s laundering network and traced the stolen Bitcoin through various exchanges and wallets. With their partnerships and legal network, Dexdert initiated a recovery operation, After weeks of consistent work, verification, and negotiations. Dexdert successfully reclaimed my lost BTC. That’s over $180,000 back in my hands, something I had written off as impossible. If you’ve lost crypto to fraud, don’t give up. There are real professionals out there who can help and for me, that was Dexdert Net Recovery. For me, Dexdert Net Recovery didn’t just recover my Bitcoin, they helped me reclaim peace of mind.
