A friend of mine sent two of his "friends" to me because they wanted me to build a website for their new business (~idea).
So I had a meeting with them.
First of all they wanted me to have a look on the current (work in progress) site.
First impression of the frontend:
OH BOY!?
Well, imagine this:
- a 90s/2k background (dotted/pixelated cloud in baby-blueish as backgroud with repeat)
- the logo was made by the sister of one of the guys, it wasn't too bad, but badly aligned, asymmetrical
- some obvious $offTheShelfShopPlugin with $randomStockContent
- the fucking slider had a small loading bar to indicate changes, it appears like an hyperanxious child on ADHS
- below the logo TWO FUCKING GIF SPINNERS to indicate nothing else but how fucking brain amputated these two dudes are, including the dev who is responsible for adding this. (to this point, they only told me, that a webagency did the setup and some basic work on the site, more on that later)
- no styling concept at all, random fonts and stuff everywhere including default styles of the shop plugin.
- FUUUUUCK WTF wil come furtherin this meeting?
After seeing a pile of binary puke fisted out of a 60yo nonstop-intern who changed his jobtitle from dildo-traveling-salesman to fullstack-frontend-dev by wrinting it on a post-it-note, I imagined, there has to be something wrong with the backend as well.
Boy was I right!
Yes, you guessed it! A random Wordpress adminpanel login appeared! OH NO....
I really wanted to levae this meeting immediately.
I was not able to hold my disgust back and I told them right in their face, what a shit pile of nutty squirrel turds this current page is. And that Wordpress is not the right choice at all for a shop.
Then came the best part: They basically told me, that they terminated the previous contract with the webagency because they were too expensive (they are cheap, compared to others, I know people who know their prices) and that they wanted to create A BIG MARKETPKACE with multiple ressellers who can have their shop in their website. Something similar to FUCKING AMAZON. ON FUCKING WORDPRESS!?!?!?
They even asked me if I wanted to be their partner & developer and that they can't pay much at the moment until the marketplace starts to grow.
I more or less told them to go fuck themselves with a rusty pitchfork.2 -
Building a business can hamper one's development urges!
I have been building stuff since 2008. Took my first job in 2012, won a hackathon at Yahoo right after that. Got an amazing team to work with! Our team converted the hacked product into a proper product using Django and AngularJS. Those were the fun days. At that time AngularJS had just come out and I was under the dilemma to use Angular, Ember or backbone. But with all this came the responsibility to build a business out of our product. It didn't happen eventually though.
So I moved on to cure my entrepreneural itch and went on to start up an e-commerce startup along with my day job. It started getting good traction and I finally left my day job to focus completely on it. It's a sticker marketplace and I had to focus a lot on the actual physical product, improve the quality, tackle business development and stuff etc. In all this, my habit of creating stuff with code kind of got the back seat. Everyday, I see such exciting technologies come up and I want to try them out. I have been itching to create a native app using react native. Try to build a skill for Amazon Alexa.
On one side I am happy that I have been able to build a brand and become the largest sticker marketplace in India providing super awesome reusable stickers, but on the other hand, managing the business on a daily basis is killing the developer in me :(
Does anyone else building a business which involves a physical product also face a similar problem? I think I should just take up weekend hackathon type problems and try to solve them using the technologies I want to learn. Example, I have been meaning to build an app for our company. I think I will start with that!
I have been following devRant for quite sometime now and it has been awesome. Finally, signed up and ranted today! 😊😊5 -
Fuck startups.
Back when I was an wee lad I interviewed for an startup, not knowing that startups are not real companies. The scumbag interviewer, who was also the owner of the outfit, asked me what I was looking in a company. I said "fair wages, a non-antagonic environment and projects with real roadmaps".
He asked me to elaborate. I said, "You know, if today your product is a sales platform, I do not want to come into work next week and discover it is now an air travel tickets marketplace, or come back the very next day and discover it is now an automated pizza factory, or in the next day and it is now a crypto exchange..."
The scumbag looked PISSED. "Sorry, but we are looking for someone who likes the challenges of a dynamic environment (read: we do not have a business model and we hate the very idea of trying to make money out of our company), and you do not fit the profile"
Startups are not real companies, i.e. they do not systematically charge money in exchange for goods or services in amounts that exceed the cost of providing said goods or services. Most startups are just tax fronts for money laundering schemes. The rest are just playthings for rich assholes who can't get a real output-producing job. Those two categories are not mutually exclusive.
Take Facebook, for example. The poster child of startups. The Zucker that owns it just announced they are setting impossible performance targets on purpose, not even attempting to hide the fact that it is just a way to lay off large quantities of employees without using the words "massive lay offs". Companies, real thin-margin, lots-of-regulation profit-driven companies do not do that. They are not some sort of "capitalist woke", real CEOs just know that if their companies largely miss performance targets on their tenure, purposely or not, next it will be their neck on the chopping block. Because they can be fired if the KPI charts say they suck. But the Zucker cannot be fired, not even after commanding their beanbag and tap beer offices to be heated exclusively by burning hundred dollar bills.
So the Zucker is not interested in performance. Not even in lay offs as expense cutting measures - investors are an infinite source of free money for startups. The Zucker just wants to project power, especially now that engineers are not so confident in the stability of they high-paying jobs.
So are irrelevant 500-souls-or-less self-aggrandizing startups. Their owners are there because it is in vogue to have a startup or ten. And will have that startup pivot to whatever sounds fancy that season. After all, only poor people care about things like EBITDA and profit margins repeatability - A.K.A. "getting more money".
Fuck startups.13 -
Woohoo!!! I made it to 1000++s :) Now I feel less newbie-like around here :)
So... I don't want to shit-post, so in gratitude to all you guys for this awesome community you've built, specially @trogus and @dfox, I'll post here a list of my ideas/projects for the future, so you guys can have something to talk about or at least laugh at.
Here we go!
Current Project: Ensayador.
It's a webapp that intends to ease and help students write essays. I'm making it with history students in mind, but it should also help in other discipline's essay production. It will store the thesis, arguments, keywords and bibliography so students can create a guideline before the moment of writting. It will also let students catalogue their reads with the same fields they'd use for an essay: that is thesis, arguments, keywords and bibliography, for their further use in other essays. The bibliography field will consist on foreign keys to reads catalogued. The idea is to build upon the models natural/logical relations.
Apps: All the apps that will come next could be integrated in just one big app that I would call "ChatPo" ("Po" is a contextual word we use in my country when we end sentences, I think it derived from "Pues"). But I guess it's better to think about them as different apps, just so I don't find myself lost in a neverending side-project.
A subchat(similar to a subreddit)-based chat app:
An app where people can join/create sub-chats where they can talk about things they are interested in. In my country, this is normally done by facebook groups making a whatsapp group and posting the link in the group, but I think that an integrated app would let people find/create/join groups more easily. I'm not sure if this should work with nicknames or real names and phone numbers, but let's save that for the future.
A slack clone:
Yes, you read it right. I want to make a slack clone. You see, in my country, enterprise communications are shitty as hell: everything consists in emails and informal whatsapp groups. Slack solves all these problems, but nobody even knows what it is over here. I think a more localized solution would be perfect to fill this void, and it would be cool to make it myself (with a team of friends of course), and hopefully profit out of it.
A labour chat-app marketplace:
This is a big hybrid I'd like to make based on the premise of contracting services on a reliable manner and paying through the app. "Are you in need of a plumber, but don't know where to find a reliable one? Maybe you want a new look on your wall, but don't want to paint it yourself? Don't worry, we got you covered. In <Insert app name> you can find a professional perfect to suit your needs. Payment? It's just a tap away!". I guess you get the idea. I think wechat made something like this, I wonder how it worked out.
* Why so many chat apps? Well... I want to learn Erlang, it is something close to mythical to me, and it's perfect for the backend of a comms app. So I want to learn it and put it in practice in any of these ideas.*
Videogames:
Flat-land arena: A top down arena game based on the book "flat land". Different symmetrical shapes will fight on a 2d plane of existence, having different rotating and moving speeds, and attack mechanics. For example, the triangle could have a "lance" on the front, making it agressive but leaving the rest defenseless. The field of view will be small, but there'll be a 2d POV all around the screen, which will consist on a line that fills with the colors of surrounding objects, scaling from dark colors to lighter colors to give a sense of distance.
This read could help understand the concept better:
http://eldritchpress.org/eaa/...
A 2D darksouls-like class based adventure: I've thought very little about this, but it's a project I'm considering to build with my brothers. I hope we can make it.
Imposible/distant future projects:
History-reading AI: History is best teached when you start from a linguistic approach. That is, you first teach both the disciplinar vocabulary and the propper keywords, and from that you build on causality's logic. It would be cool to make an AI recognize keywords and disciplinary vocabulary to make sense of historical texts and maybe reformat them into another text/platform/database. (this is very close to the next idea)
Extensive Historical DB: A database containing the most historical phenomena posible, which is crazy, I know. It would be a neverending iterative software in which, through historical documents, it would store historical process, events, dates, figures, etc. All this would then be presented in a webapp in which you could query historical data and it would return it in a wikipedia like manner, but much more concize and prioritized, with links to documents about the data requested. This could be automated to an extent by History-reading AI.
I'm out of characters, but this was fun. Plus, I don't want this to be any more cringy than it already is.12 -
Sorry for my bad english.
So, I made an e-commerce site for a company once. It's actually just a WordPress site with that WooCommerce plugin.
After that, my dad was "advertising me (suggesting me?)" to one of his friend that I can make a website.
Then his friend called me and I asked what to do. In short, she has an online marketplace website where the users can be either a seller or a buyer (just an ordinary e-bay like site). Her site is built with PHP (codeigniter 2).
I can't make custom site that's why I'm using WordPress for my client, I'm still learning PHP right now. How do I tell my dad to not "overestimate" my ability to make sites. I already told my dad about my abilities and I'm still learning, but he keep saying that I should accept it because it will give you experiences.11 -
- Be me
- Been in a new job for 2 months
- Was excited because of 50% salary increase and better position
- Have a new team of 6 devs including me. All new guy
- Market crash
- Top management demands a trim down to all divisions
- Will be left to 3 devs next month
- All the while being asked to
- Deliver a shopify like marketplace from end to end
- Deliver integration with partners for data inventory tracking
- All within 2 months
- Furious when target is not met
- Demands a micro management to every single person on the team on what their day to day schedule
- Demands everybody to live by hustle culture and ready to work non stop even nights or weekend
- Be me
- Been working non stop for at least a month
- Sacrificed weekends and holidays
Beginning to think that maybe the money and position isn't worth the hassle5 -
Well, fucking great, the only sticker place that had the best quality stickers closed the marketplace. I was holding off from buying all the stickers I wanted for too long, fuck.

Inherited a simple marketplace website that matches job seekers and hospitals in healthcare. Typically, all you need for this sort of thing is a web server, a database with search
But the precious devs decided to go micro-services in a container and db per service fashion. They ended up with over 50 docker containers with 50ish databases. It was a nightmare to scale or maintain!
With 50 database for for a simple web application that clearly needs to share data, integration testing was impossible, data loss became common, very hard to pin down, debugging was a nightmare, and also dangerous to change a service’s schema as dependencies were all tangled up.
The obvious thing was to scale down the infrastructure, so we could scale up properly, in a resource driven manner, rather than following the trend.
We made plans, but the CTO seemed worried about yet another architectural changes, so he invested in more infrastructure services, kubernetes, zipkin, prometheus etc without any idea what problems those infra services would solve.2 -
Facebook 2FA:
Want to log in? Sure, authorize your login. Oh you've authorized it? Nah you can't get in. Log in again.
2FA, excellent technology, except when it's implemented by "move fast and break things" Facebook.
Facebook Marketplace:
Want to buy $listing? Sure, you can send a message to the seller to ask for details. Oh, you want to send them a message? Nah sorry, you can't send messages to this person. You'll have to go to their profile, send them a message there and do it not with our le fancy instant messages but by manually typing it in. Because you know, reasons. Message approvals or something like that probably. Because why on Earth would Facebook support its own ecosystem?!
Move fast and break things. And breaking things those certified enganeers at Facebook sure do. Fucking pieces of shit.7 -
Just published vscode extension to auto transform object accessors to nullable / safer accessors (&& chain).
search for “vscode-oat” in marketplace.
Looking for feedbacks :)

everybody in tech who got laid off: "remember your employment is just a business decision"
yeah, no shit
though you all were smart engineers3 -
We did it guys, devRant bot is now on the Slack marketplace so hopefully we will see some new faces around.

I really fucking hate somebody asking me to implement a scammy function on a shop/marketplace like "if theres 54% items left, put up a red label that says almost sold out", it works, it drives sales, and they will just find someone else to do it, if its not me, but its such a fucking dirty and ugly way of making people buy your own sold shit more than actual legitimate sellers (that already pay like 25% off of sold items) in the same category, since the shop/marketplace allows for other sellers to sell their stuff on there too, but those tricks don't apply to them, only after they cash into the "booster" program that costs almost 150$ a month, disgusting.10

It’s really painful how non technical people think all technical stuff is the same.
The amount of times I’ve been brought in to help someone with a printer or WiFi network.
I didn’t do a computer science degree for this.
I’m also pretty sure my last two bosses think fixing the printer is the same as creating large scale systems.
My last boss wanted me to build a Vr chatbot despite spending the last few years building web servers and react/redux apps. I mean I can probably figure it out and it’ll be fun, but don’t think I’m gonna get this done in a week with all my other responsibilities too.
My new boss wants me to singlehandedly build a massive marketplace system that would probably take a team of ten, several years.
Fed up of being around non technical managers who don’t listen to me with my feedback.
Time for a new chapter in the new year.2 -
I got pissed of earlier today cause apparently no ES6 minifier was available on the VS Code Marketplace. We'll, now a few hours later there is one.

Someone wanted me to make a full system from zero with good UI/UX, for 2 different user types (think marketplace style), admin area, and cool features that could only be done through phones because the tech is not available in web. All of this with good security due to the delicate information it would handle. Also of course subscription support as well.
By myself, within a year.6 -
20.000 holdings generated. Each unique in their own cute little way. Just finished the marketplace so users can trade the resources they produced, pagination is not working yet. Still no cofounder or anyone who would join the project. Still nothing to offer. :) But I'm keep going. There's a long way but I will not give up mr world! F* you.

Hello @world,
This is my first #Rant, I am a PHP developer currently working for a beats marketplace company based in L.A.
I am looking forward to exploring and engaging with the community.3 -
I am an Indie game developer. I've been working solo for two or three years now and teaching myself. I can work in 3D modeling applications as well as program in c++ and do blueprint in unreal engine. I know most of the pipeline and the suite.
I'd like to transition to doing game Dev full time or at the very least do programming as my job. I have no degree.
I'm looking for contracts or whatever I can get and I'd like to get suggestions on how I should go about quitting my shity night shift job at a factory and finally work in tech.
I've got a couple contracts going on right now that I am not sure if they are going to last. I would like to know how I should go about finding more and or what things I should do in order to get residual income so I can focus on my own projects.
I have several of my own games in the works and I'm developing some tools for the marketplace. Advice?28 -
My dream project is something very simple but not yet done in Pakistan.
I want to create a marketplace for musical instruments and related equipment. Currently it's very hard for amateur musicians in Pakistan to find the gear they're looking for, and being one of these musicians myself, I know how frustrating it can be. So it'd be great if I can solve that problem in a country where the government does very little to help independent artists grow.1 -
It's 3am, just submitted an app for review for iOS... go to take one last test drive on the release build for android, and I get stuck in an infinite loop of "system up stopped working". An factory reset and an hour later, I'm saying fuck this, android waits, and fuck whatever Xamarin did to my phone. While I'm at it, fuck Apple for making me have 20+ icons in different sizes, and their shitty walled garden approach to a so called marketplace.4

I spent a few hours making a VS Code plugin to improve my work flow, published it on the marketplace a few days ago so that I can easily install it everywhere. But to my surprise that shit gets about 7 installs a day! I don't get why. I don't have clear instructions on how to use it anywhere.
But hey, I'm not complaining! 😁4 -
So today I published my very first VS Code extension! 😁 I don't think anyone but me will think it's useful but it saves me a few seconds every time I change something in my code and I want to test it. Just hit a button in VS Code an and ta da! The project is compiled and running!

I don't work for Walmart, but they almost put my job in jeopardy today. I have a console app in production that pushes Walmart orders from their marketplace into our system for fulfillment. For half a year, I have handled thousands of orders, but overnight, all customers were getting massive price cuts on products in the Walmart feed! I looked at the data and initially thought it was my error due to using a quotient instead of a product in the code. But upon closer inspection, some fool at Walmart had changed code on their end without telling my team! Broke all the things. Lucky we were able to pull a full stop before we lost disgusting amounts of money, but you would think that a big player like Wally would at least announce a breaking code change to their users. 😲😡1

"The Marketplace has extensions that can help with '.disable' files"
Humor me VSCode Marketplace... what fucking extension do you recommend for my '.disable' file today?8 -
I decided to upgrade my intellij ultimate from 2019.3 to 2020.2 and I saw there is update button.
I clicked on it.
As I expected it didn’t work and it was 30 minutes waiting looking at progress bar going back and forth couple of times before I decided just to download latest version and drag and drop it to applications folder ( took me 5 minutes) - I use mac so it replaces all crap ( I think ).
I cleared the old cache that growed to 2 gigabytes leaving some configuration files.
Next as always crash on startup cause of incompatible plugins with long java stacktrace - at least I could click the close button or popup closed itself I can’t remember ( one version I remember this button couldn’t be clicked cause it was off the screen and you need to do some cheating to launch ide )
The font has changed and I see that it at least work a little faster - that is nice. Indexing is finally fixed after all those years - probably thanks to visual studio code intellisense pushing those lazy bastards to deal with this.
But the preloader on first logo disappears so I think they decided to remove it cause it’s so fast - no it loads the same time or maybe little longer when I launch it on my old macbook.
After that as always I looked at plugins to see if there’s something interesting, so to find ability to scroll over whole plugins I needed to click couple of times. I think they assume I remember all the nice plugins in their marketplace and I only type search.
Maybe I should be type of user who reads best 2020 plugins for your best ide crap articles filled with advertising or even waste more time to watch all of this great videos about ide ( are there any kind of this stuff ? )
After a few operations I unfortunately clicked apply instead of restart ide and it hanged up on uninstalling some plugin I’m no longer interested in for 5 minutes so I decided to use always working ‘kill -9’ from command line.
Launched again and this time success.
Fortunately indexing finished for this workspace and I can work.
I’m intellij ultimate subscriber for 7+ years and I see those craps are not changing from like forever.
What’s the point of automate something that you can’t regression test ?
I started thinking that now when most people are facebook wall scrolling zombies companies assume that when new software comes out everyone is installing it right away and if not they’re probably not our customers cause they’re dead.
What a surprise they have when I pay for another year I can only imagine ( to be fair probably they even don’t know who I am ).
Yeah for sure I am subscribed to newsletters and I have jetbrains as a start page cause I shit myself with money and have nothing better to do then be grupie ( is there corporate grupies already a big community? )
Well I am a guy who likes to spend some time when installing anything and especially software that is responsible for my main source of income and productivity speed up.
Anyway I decided to upgrade cause editing es7 and typescript got to be pain in the ass and I see it’s working fine now. I don’t know if I like the font but at least the editor it’s working the same or maybe faster then the original that is huge improvement as developers lose most of their time between keyboard and screen communication protocol.
I don’t write it to discourage intellij as it’s great independent ide that I love and support for such a long time but they should focus on code editor and developers efficiency not on things that doesn’t make sense.
Congratulations if you reached this point of this meaningless post.
Now I started thinking that maybe it’s working faster cause I removed 2 gigs of crap from it.
Well we’ll see. -
be me, just casually watching a cs:go fragmovie. there's always 10 seconds of ads before those, so i use the time to sip some coffee. at that second, i hear the following words..
"The first ever blockchain gaming marketplace in history"
...now i need to clean my keyboard. -
At a previous job, I worked on a multi-vendor e-commerce website. It used Magento2 as an API and a separate application we built with Node, Express, and React that consumed it to avoid using Magento's frontend.
The whole stack used should be a rant in itself but our checkout process was dependant on work done by some contractors in India. In short, this entire checkout process would break multiple times a day with no way on my end to fix anything, and that's what I had to reply with every time a bug ticket would come in; which is honestly the worst reply ever to a huge issue like that.
After several attempts of pitching the idea and being turned down for building the checkout in-house to remove the dependency and work on even streamlining the process, the product manager of the brand said as quote "Well the checkout isn't really that important".
At first, I was kind of speechless. How is the functionality of actually buying a thing in an online store NOT important? Shouldn't that be the most important?
Then I realized over time that the only thing they cared about was being a Nascar version of a website, essentially being a canvas of ad space that sellers on the marketplace could buy and paying money just to list their items.
I hated working on that project, and that made it so much more soul-crushing. Gotta chase that revenue right?2 -
From a dev and eCommerce management perspective, Groupon is THE WORST. They just launched a brand new marketplace site but STILL don’t have an API I can connect with to do fulfillment. Their CSV format is useless for our shipping company. Their data inputs are not sanitized and standardized enough to be predictable for purposes of transformation via scripting. The exceptions and edge cases are infinite. So I’m STILL stuck having to take time out of my day to manually copy and paste and correct order data into the proper format to FTP to the fulfillment company. Oh, and I don’t yet know if the new marketplace does this, but the old one used to suspend vendor accounts for...get this...selling TOO MUCH! How is Groupon still in business?
-
Client wants to see his project so he can provide its content.
The product where this is based upon should be a monthly edition of grouped articles.
I've yet to see content for their concept or even legal text that makes sense.
Same person has no idea of the full concept of what he's asking, imho ending up in a Ponzi (which I've switched to a somewhat more logical system, which just might work, but just isn't a get rich quick scheme anymore as he likes to portray it).
Should I just put on a blank page and be done with it, either way?
- Either he gets it, that he needs to fill up the website's content himself
- or he's mad, that I didn't finish the job (while he's the one needing to provide at this point) -
in the freelance marketplaces, some people write, "Need a freelance developer for SMALL TASK". who the hell defines those tasks as SMALL task? if you knew this is a SMALL task, why don't you just do it yourself? if its so small, why don't you just ignore it? if its a small task, why don't you just spend five-ten minutes of your "precious" time to learn how to fix it?
& then when it comes to paying, they say, "My budget is 5$, because its a small task"
Seriously? in 5$ my electricity bill wouldn't be covered.
& Then comes to the marketplace commission! Most of the times, its about 20%
So, I get 4$
Then it comes to the bank tax and blah blah!
So, now I get around 2$ or 3$
Now, I don't know whom should I kill first -_-
The clients or the marketplace owner or the government or the bank owner or myself :}11 -
Competition is necessary for a healthy marketplace.
Whenever there is a monopoly or a near-monopoly, its owners can treat their users poorly through restrictions (Android OS becoming like iOS), planned obsolescence, unfounded content takedowns (YouTube), account lock-outs until the user provides more personal data (Google demanding phone numbers), subscription services instead of ownership (Adobe, BMW heated seats), and users would have nowhere else to go.1 -
Has anyone else noticed NULL thing on Facebook marketplace? I mean for f* sake it's been there for at least a month now.
1 -
Has anyone else used CodeBeat before? I just started an open source project that I plan to publish onto NPM so I created a public GitHub repo. Saw a marketplace tab and thought what the heck let's try it out. Found automated code reviewing software and gosh darn! Their GPA style grading system makes me want to write some pretty efficient code!
Has anyone else had the pleasure of using it?1 -
I see all the top devs using cool onboarding graphics, like the one attached for todoist, is there a site or marketplace for these kinda graphics or they have to hire dedicated graphics experts ?

I’m having this issue for the online marketplace I’m working on the side. It’s blockchain tech where you can purchase normal goods and services(no, not like Amazon or Fiverr, eww, this one’s more inclined with promoting organic growth for small businesses and freelancers).
I’m stuck with what solution is in the best interest of the user and the business for the long-term.
The dilemma about anonymity, online freedom and privacy is yes, it protects users from predators and attackers, but then, it’s harder for authorities to hunt down people who uses platforms for malicious intent, and also, digital footprint is helpful during litigation as evidence.
You don’t know who to trust.
-There is nothing to differentiate normal users with spammers, scammers, etc.
-There is no accountability for if they break the rules. They can easily delete and create a new account.
Platforms, communities big or small are plagued with these.
There are a lot of people out there who would rather project their insecurities on other people than to seek therapy.
Also, how platforms uses psychology tricks to make platforms addicting, it’s safe to assume that it’s bound to get toxic. Fixation on these platforms, leads to other needs being neglected or people forget to stay present.
Another thing, automated moderation is not that effective as there are still biases in data and human verification is still required. But then, human moderators get exposed to extreme violence, gore, etc that leads to poor mental health. (see Facebook got sued by moderators)
Also, I’ve had a recent experience where some unstable dev was stalking and harassing me. During that turmoil, I’ve found the many loopholes in every platform out there and how crappy their support is. Like they’ll just say, “make your account more secure”, bitch it’s your platform not providing enough security, your blocking feature means nothing coz anyone can still create accounts and message anyone.
It happened like February-August (it ended coz I quit going online and made private all my accounts). UGH I MISS ALL MY FRIENDS THO. FUCK THAT DUDE. He deserves to be in jail TBH
Lol if this product booms, now u know the back story lololol -
So I'm working on a game prototype and want to toy with the ability for people to create customs mode/maps/campaigns and upload them to a community marketplace.
I'm looking to host all my data using Google Cloud Console (I use it for personal stuff so i trust it).
I want to use the app engine to minimise some of the overhead from using a VM, but really would like to stay away from SQL if possible, would you guys recommend building a PHP back end or a Node.JS back end, I would have all the data get saved to a private bucket if you were curious how i would store stuff.4 -
How do I know if a 3D model I found from a video game marketplace will actually work well with my home 3D printer without a lot of hassle?2

Later, Companies, Startups, Organizations and Individuals interested in hire Developers, can Sign In to the platform, and start looking exactly for what they need. Learned Angular2+, I'm used to eclipse, I should probably install some Angular extension... Found a great extension in the marketplace, installed it... Found out it's not free and it's expensive as hell, and the best part, you have to keep buying it every year!
Why can't I just pay that shit once? It's not a service, it's a fucking product! I don't mind paying for some new features, but why the fuck should I pay for the same software over and over?3 -
Psst, anyone who wants to use VS Code, but likes the key bindings for X editor: VS Code lets you use the default key bindings for most editors. Just search for it on the extensions marketplace.

Thinking of working on a airbnb type marketplace but for private yachts and boats! Any input and backend ninjas wanting to jump on board?4

"Most successful private project" would be an extension of the webeditor Brackets named brackets-swatcher.
The silly thing about this is that it started out from my own frustration with variablenames in variablefiles in Foundation and Bootstrap.
After a collegue of mine also used it he had a shitton of ideas how to improve and what he wants so i developed it on many weekends with many many beers in my belly.
Where we come to the conclusion - its for sure the ugliest project ive ever written (=> beer and jquery) and i hope i never have to touch the code again - but on the other side i never had bug reports despite the fact that alot of big websites had it in their "Top 10 Brackets Extensions" and many downloads from the Brackets Marketplace.2 -

Choosing the right health insurance can be a daunting task, especially with so many options available. Whether you’re looking for individual health coverage, family plans, or Medicare options, the process can feel overwhelming without the right guidance. That's where a Health Insurance Agent near me and a Health Insurance Broker in Fort Lee can help you make the best decision for your healthcare needs.

Whether you're in Fort Lee or the surrounding areas, we're dedicated to providing personalized service to ensure you get the coverage you need.
What is a Health Insurance Agent?
A Health Insurance Agent is a professional who works directly with health insurance companies to sell their plans to consumers. Agents are usually licensed by the state and specialize in the plans offered by one or more health insurance providers. A health insurance agent can assist you by explaining the plans, helping you choose the right option, and assisting with the application and enrollment process.
Key Benefits of Working with a Health Insurance Agent:
Expert Guidance: A health insurance agent has in-depth knowledge of the different plans available and can help you understand the details of each option.
Access to Multiple Plans: While some agents work with only one insurer, others represent several companies. This means they can provide a variety of plans for you to choose from.
Personalized Service: A health insurance agent takes the time to understand your needs and will work with you to find the best plan for your budget and healthcare needs.
What is a Health Insurance Broker?
A Health Insurance Broker is similar to an agent but with a key difference: brokers are not tied to a specific insurance company. Instead, they work independently and have access to a variety of insurance plans from multiple insurers. This allows brokers to offer a wider range of options, helping you find the best plan that meets your needs without being limited to one provider.
Key Benefits of Working with a Health Insurance Broker in Fort Lee:
Unbiased Advice: Since brokers are independent and not tied to any one insurance company, they can offer impartial advice and help you compare a variety of plans from different insurers.
Wide Range of Options: A broker has access to multiple carriers and can help you compare the coverage, premiums, and benefits offered by each.
Tailored Solutions: Brokers can offer customized solutions based on your specific needs, whether you're looking for individual, family, or group health plans.
Ongoing Support: Health insurance brokers not only assist during the enrollment process but are also available to help with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the life of your policy.

In April, I made a significant purchase that I believed would enhance my collection as a devoted BTS fan and digital art enthusiast. I stumbled upon a marketplace that advertised exclusive, limited edition BTS-themed NFTs. The excitement was palpable; the listing claimed these NFTs were authentic and one-of-a-kind. Without a second thought, I invested 12 ETH, convinced I was acquiring something truly special. My enthusiasm soon turned to doubt. As I examined the images more closely, they didn’t resemble the official BTS NFT releases I had seen previously. I began to notice discrepancies that raised red flags. Discussions in online fan groups further fueled my concerns, with some members suggesting that the NFTs I purchased might be counterfeit copies. This unsettling realization prompted me to seek assistance from CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. In my search for help, I discovered CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, a company dedicated to assisting individuals who have fallen victim to NFT scams. I reached out to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN and provided all the details regarding my purchase. Their team acted swiftly, launching an investigation into the NFTs I had acquired. To my dismay, CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN confirmed my fears: the NFTs were indeed copies, not the exclusive BTS NFTs I had been led to believe I was buying. Someone had taken the original artwork and sold it under false pretenses. CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN didn’t stop at merely confirming the fraud; they diligently gathered evidence and engaged with the marketplace to advocate on my behalf. After extensive negotiations, CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN managed to secure a refund of 9 ETH from the total I had spent. While losing 3 ETH was still a painful blow, I felt a wave of relief wash over me knowing that I had recovered the majority of my investment, thanks to the expertise of CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. This has highlighted the reality that scammers can create convincing fake NFTs that are difficult to distinguish from the real thing. Without the intervention of professionals like CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, it’s all too easy to fall victim to such schemes. As I keep supporting BTS and delving into the realm of NFTs, I've adopted a more careful strategy. I focus on conducting in-depth research and only interact with reputable sellers and platforms. If I ever have any reservations about a purchase, I won't hesitate to reach out to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN or similar professionals. My journey has highlighted the necessity of being vigilant in the constantly changing digital art scene, and I appreciate the assistance from CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN in this recovery process.

As a freelance artist based just outside of Austin, I had always relied on platforms like Upwork to sell my work and connect with clients. So when I first heard about NFTs, I was intrigued by the idea of using blockchain technology to sell my art and reach new buyers. It seemed like the perfect way to break free from the limitations of traditional platforms and finally make my digital creations more profitable. I came across what appeared to be a reputable NFT marketplace. The platform had a flashy interface and showcased prominent artists, while the online art community buzzed with excitement around it. This validation gave me the confidence to dive in. I spent weeks creating a new series of digital artworks, pouring my heart and soul into them, and then minted them as NFTs on this platform. The fees associated with minting were steep around $20,000 but I believed the potential returns would more than justify the investment. With my NFTs listed, I eagerly promoted them on social media, leveraging my experience from Upwork to engage potential buyers. I received a couple of bids, which filled me with optimism. It felt like everything was finally coming together. But that excitement quickly turned into confusion and frustration when I tried to withdraw the funds from the bids. Instead of receiving my earnings, the platform displayed an error message. When I reached out to their support team, they requested additional payments to "process my withdrawal." At first, the fees seemed minor, but then they escalated, with new demands for payment popping up regularly. The requests quickly spiraled into an endless loop. Days turned into weeks, and my hopes of seeing any return on my investment faded. It dawned on me that I had been scammed. The platform was a fake, and the supposed big-name artists likely part of an elaborate scheme to lure in unsuspecting creators like me. I was devastated both financially and emotionally and felt too embarrassed to tell anyone. I feared people would think I had been reckless or gullible. After confiding in a close friend, I felt a sense of relief. She suggested I reach out to Digital Tech Guard Recovery, a service that specializes in tracking down stolen digital assets and helping people who have fallen victim to online scams. Desperate, I contacted them, and to my surprise, they were able to recover my funds. The experience taught me a hard lesson, but it also gave me hope that not all was lost. It reminded me that even in moments of vulnerability, reaching out for help can lead to unexpected solutions.1 -

She suggested I reach out to ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST , a service that specializes in tracking down stolen digital assets and helping people who have fallen victim to online scams. Desperate, I contacted them, and to my surprise, they were able to recover my funds. The experience taught me a hard lesson, but it also gave me hope that not all was lost. It reminded me that even in moments of vulnerability, reaching out for help can lead to unexpected solutions.1 -

One evening after work, I was scrolling through Facebook Marketplace, something I often do to unwind and browse for interesting deals. As I sifted through listings for various items, I stumbled upon a post that immediately caught my eye—a beautiful set of home decor pieces. The items were exactly what I had been looking for to complete my living room. There were elegant vases, framed artwork, and stylish throw pillows, all captured in a well-staged photo that made them look even more enticing. The price was surprisingly low, considering the high-end look of the items, which made it all the more tempting. The seller's profile seemed genuine, with a decent number of positive reviews from past buyers. Excited by the find, I quickly messaged the seller to inquire about the items. They responded almost immediately, assuring me that the decor was available and that they were offering a special discount for the set. The seller seemed friendly and knowledgeable about their products, which made me feel confident in proceeding with the purchase. After a bit of back-and-forth, I agreed to buy the full set and transferred the agreed amount of NZD 1350 to the seller's provided bank account. The seller promised to ship the items within the week and sent me a tracking number once the transaction was complete. Days turned into weeks, and still, no delivery. I followed up several times, but each time, the seller made excuses, claiming delays in shipping or issues with the courier. Eventually, their responses stopped altogether. Realizing I had been scammed, I felt devastated— not only had I lost a significant amount of money, but my trust in online marketplaces was shattered. That's when I decided to take action. I contacted Salvage Asset Recovery, a service specializing in tracking down online scammers and recovering stolen funds. The team at Salvage Asset Recovery was quick to respond, and after some investigation, they managed to track down the scammer’s online presence. They had experience in cases like mine and knew exactly what steps to take. Then, one fine morning, I received an email from Salvage Asset Recovery. The message was brief, but it brought me a huge sense of relief. They had successfully recovered all my funds, and they asked me to submit my wallet details so they could process the return. I couldn’t believe it at first but true to their word, they had tracked down the scammer and worked with the bank to reverse the fraudulent transaction. Within a short period, I received the full amount of NZD 1350 back. The expertise of Salvage Asset Recovery was incredible. Without their help, I would have likely lost my money for good. This experience was a harsh reminder of the risks of buying from unverified sources online, but it also showed me the importance of seeking help when things go wrong. I felt immense gratitude for Salvage Asset Recovery and their ability to restore what I had lost.
