We have built an entire app that is very critical to our business on google sheets. My boss did this all by convincing people he is doing that to save time on admin panel development. But the business suffers with slowness and so many problems. And he loves google sheets for some crazy reason I don't know.6

In a performance review, my manager told we don't do micromanagent here. And later he told directly or indirectly we are observing everything. Great you just proved you have not done any micromanagent.7
-
I was called on a review meeting on why the task took so much time and why my performance is going down.
I clearly stated that I was not managed well and I had lot of dependencies in presence of my reporting manager. She didn't look happy. Now I'm kind of worried that she could act weirdly as women are also emotional beings taking everything to the heart.4 -
I want to resign my job as fresher with 5months experience. Because the work culture is toxic, I will not be assigned tasks properly and then I have to sit idle for hours waiting for review. I feel so sick. They fired one guy who joined 4months back stating performance issue when they didnt manage him properly.3

Manager asked suggestions to make any changes to work culture, because of the overall productivity issue of the team. The culture was so much toxic that no one was ready to speak.2
-
My team feels like a bureaucracy multiple decision makers looping to one another causing confusion to developers.
-
It was great when non tech guys explained me the requirements. Now a bunch of technical managers do with no clarity to themselves and obviously we revamp it every time we give them a demo.
-
At my new organization , they love spaghetti code, they neither want me to refactor it, because it works. Special thanks to php.6
-
I feel like resigning from a company that i joined 3 weeks back.
I don't like to code in PHP and the manager wants to stick on to that , no new developers joining the company and php is one of the reason. The code is a mess. Every now and then some other team come running for a change like one button to do some shit and then for a fix after 15mins of release.
So many database operations are happening manually. No innovation in the team. Developers are very boring , women being senior developers and team leads brings stability but there is no innovation , excitement or any enthusiasm. All my team members are very happy doing mediocre shit. Manager talks about agile development and they are following that at a level where every half a day some requirement changes.
I m tired of being a developer that fixes the same mediocre shit.
Its too boring.6 -
I just joined a new organization and saw a single file with 9433 lines of code. Advance RIP to me.8

I feel very anxious when developers interviewing me asks
1. is nodejs single threaded or multithreaded ?
2. How does node handle requests
3. How do u manage concurrency
4. What is event emitter and callback.
Dude i have given you my resume, without knowing these things i could never do that ?
I feel the discussion must be based on concepts and general problem solving rather than focusing on one technology. Tech can always be learnt.6 -
I dont know how to timeline projects. I tell clients that it will be ready in one month. But the project will be so big that it takes lot of time to actually code it and do all the procedures around it. I m just giving them timeline based on the speed of my mind.3

I hate my freelancer life.
1. No weekends
2. No particular time to close
3. Work for 12 to 14 hours without sleep sometimes
4. Keep explaining the dumb clients about how development is not wordpress.
Its all fucked up. I have no life.
My average Lines of code this month is around 700 LOC/day. Whereas the average that showed on internet is 100 LOC/day.
I have choosen a hellish life.10 -
I told my client i cannot do every shitty thing you say and change it again and again whenever your mood swings and it wastes lot of time doing unwanted things even if you pay me.
I m not guilty. -
I almost everytime these days start counting from zero in real life and f**k up the calculations and recalculate and do the same mistake. I hate programming.
Happy programmers day -
I hate windows, it f**king takes 10000 minutes to load microsoft edge browser on a newly bought laptop .21

Node modules saved me today....
I did
$ rm -rf *
accidentally.
And then while it was deleting node modules i cancelled it and saved my work.8 -
I joined engineering to learn a lot of things and build cool stuff with other classmates and lecturers. But the college, universty and all students were only focused on grades, literally no one wants to learn anything , they just memorize the information , write it in exam and forget by next semester. Lot of students werent even able to build a demo web application projects , they just borrow it from their seniors, buy it or anyway except building by themselves.
I somehow didnt like this process and was always opposed to the process, i didnt study last night for many exams , just wrote what i knew , i was able to pass most of the exams , but some failed too may be because i wasnt that good at that subject or the valuator needs answer as exactly as in his book. I went on to learn it all by myself , ignoring my grades , as it takes lot of time to maintain grades, and is way too less exciting than programming.
I m building an interesting project for my final year and have worked as freelancer to develop and implement few web and mobile applications.
Now, at the end of the college, they have the job , i have only have skills.
I even feel that if that kind of guys can get selected there, then i should not be there.2 -
It hurts when you have built an feature with so much pain after change request from your client and after six months, you notice that feature has never been used.
-
These days i learn new technology after using that in an client project. Sounds stupid , still works.
-
My weapon against clients who asks for stupid changes.
"That will increase your cost of maintentance and it takes atleast 2 months to make changes" .4 -
I Feel very happy being in quarantine. Going to college and wasting 6-7 hours of time in learning that stupid old stuff and working all night totally sucks. Now, i have my whole 24 hours to work. Stupid outdated indian colleges.4

Shitty clients who has misconception of Software Development as it is drag and drop and thinks anybody can do it with ease.5
