There's no greater waste of time than laying in bed with your significant other and waiting on them to fall asleep so you can tip toe back to your computer in order to hit a deadline.
Literally my ritual every night.20 -
Story of my most useless meeting?
Too many to mention. Here's one. Years ago a new HR associate was specifically hired to better engage the workforce. About once a week, she conducted about an hour to two hour meetings which consisted of every 'touchy-feely' idea you could think of. I swear any day I was going to walk into a meeting and do the "fall back into your partner" trust exercises.
One particular meeting, 'Betty' engaged us with the topic of what keeps us motivated, and I was a little more annoyed than usual because I was behind on a system critical project and these meetings were mandatory.
User1: "Knowing I make customer satisfaction my number one priority."
User2: "The strong sense of accomplishment I feel by doing my best"
Me: "Money"
<you could almost hear Betty's gasp>
Betty: "Oh, no, money shouldn't be the motivator. Money is like icing on the cake. Tell us what keeps you happy and engaged."
<other users nod their heads in engagement>
Me: "Again, money."
User3: "I can't...ugh..I don't believe..oh..why would you say that? I think being part of such a great team is payment enough."
<more nodding of heads>
Me: "Do you work for free? I don't. None of us do. Would any of you keep doing your jobs here if you weren't getting paid?"
Betty: "That is really not the point of this meeting."
Me: "Sure it is. I'll bet if Order Taking starting providing bonuses for positive after-call surveys, employee satisfaction would go through the roof. Anyone else like that idea?"
Betty: "Your attitude isn't helping this discussion. Lets move on."
Me: "Lets not. In 20?? the Gartner group performed a study where they 'discovered' the primary motivator for employees was money. You want employees to perform better, you pay them. It is really that simple."
<I could see the looks of "Its OK to speak my mind?" and others wanting to speak up>
Betty: "Moving on. Lets go over the company core values again and discuss how they enrich our lives at work and at home."
I kept quiet for the rest of the meeting.
The poop hit the fan, and my boss pulls me into a conference room
Boss: "Betty is really pissed at you. She went directly to the VP of HR"
Me: "Good. Does this mean I don't have to attend the enrichment meetings?"
Boss: "Yea, that was her idea of punishment. Lucky bastard."7 -
Jobless.
Nah, just kidding.
I'm a qualified teacher, so I have that to fall back on.
That or fixing things, I suppose. I would then design something to corrupt that AI and then I can get hired back when the AI starts its reign of terror.
"Oh no! The AI became sentient and started intentionally fucking code up (and then proceeding to manically laugh at it ((ha...ha...ha...)! Who can save us?"
"I have a team of highly skilled devs, programmers, and a dude who works in a cellphone shop at my disposal. devRanters assemble! (then I just fuck up the code I made initially to make them sentient and commit it - problems solved.)

POSTMORTEM
"4096 bit ~ 96 hours is what he said.
IDK why, but when he took the challenge, he posted that it'd take 36 hours"
As @cbsa wrote, and nitwhiz wrote "but the statement was that op's i3 did it in 11 hours. So there must be a result already, which can be verified?"
I added time because I was in the middle of a port involving ArbFloat so I could get arbitrary precision. I had a crude desmos graph doing projections on what I'd already factored in order to get an idea of how long it'd take to do larger
bit lengths
@p100sch speculated on the walked back time, and overstating the rig capabilities. Instead I spent a lot of time trying to get it 'just-so'.
Worse, because I had to resort to "Decimal" in python (and am currently experimenting with the same in Julia), both of which are immutable types, the GC was taking > 25% of the cpu time.
Performancewise, the numbers I cited in the actual thread, as of this time:
largest product factored was 32bit, 1855526741 * 2163967087, took 1116.111s in python.
Julia build used a slightly different method, & managed to factor a 27 bit number, 103147223 * 88789957 in 20.9s,
but this wasn't typical.
What surprised me was the variability. One bit length could take 100s or a couple thousand seconds even, and a product that was 1-2 bits longer could return a result in under a minute, sometimes in seconds.
This started cropping up, ironically, right after I posted the thread, whats a man to do?
So I started trying a bunch of things, some of which worked. Shameless as I am, I accepted the challenge. Things weren't perfect but it was going well enough. At that point I hadn't slept in 30~ hours so when I thought I had it I let it run and went to bed. 5 AM comes, I check the program. Still calculating, and way overshot. Fuuuuuuccc...
So here we are now and it's say to safe the worlds not gonna burn if I explain it seeing as it doesn't work, or at least only some of the time.
Others people, much smarter than me, mentioned it may be a means of finding more secure pairs, and maybe so, I'm not familiar enough to know.
For everyone that followed, commented, those who contributed, even the doubters who kept a sanity check on this without whom this would have been an even bigger embarassement, and the people with their pins and tactical dots, thanks.
So here it is.
A few assumptions first.
Assuming p = the product,
a = some prime,
b = another prime,
and r = a/b (where a is smaller than b)
w = 1/sqrt(p)
(also experimented with w = 1/sqrt(p)*2 but I kept overshooting my a very small margin)
x = a/p
y = b/p
1. for every two numbers, there is a ratio (r) that you can search for among the decimals, starting at 1.0, counting down. You can use this to find the original factors e.x. p*r=n, p/n=m (assuming the product has only two factors), instead of having to do a sieve.
2. You don't need the first number you find to be the precise value of a factor (we're doing floating point math), a large subset of decimal values for the value of a or b will naturally 'fall' into the value of a (or b) + some fractional number, which is lost. Some of you will object, "But if thats wrong, your result will be wrong!" but hear me out.
3. You round for the first factor 'found', and from there, you take the result and do p/a to get b. If 'a' is actually a factor of p, then mod(b, 1) == 0, and then naturally, a*b SHOULD equal p.
If not, you throw out both numbers, rinse and repeat.
Now I knew this this could be faster. Realized the finer the representation, the less important the fractional digits further right in the number were, it was just a matter of how much precision I could AFFORD to lose and still get an accurate result for r*p=a.
Fast forward, lot of experimentation, was hitting a lot of worst case time complexities, where the most significant digits had a bunch of zeroes in front of them so starting at 1.0 was a no go in many situations. Started looking and realized
I didn't NEED the ratio of a/b, I just needed the ratio of a to p.
Intuitively it made sense, but starting at 1.0 was blowing up the calculation time, and this made it so much worse.
I realized if I could start at r=1/sqrt(p) instead, and that because of certain properties, the fractional result of this, r, would ALWAYS be 1. close to one of the factors fractional value of n/p, and 2. it looked like it was guaranteed that r=1/sqrt(p) would ALWAYS be less than at least one of the primes, putting a bound on worst case.
The final result in executable pseudo code (python lol) looks something like the above variables plus
while w >= 0.0:
if (p / round(w*p)) % 1 == 0:
x = round(w*p)
y = p / round(w*p)
if x*y == p:
print("factors found!")
print(x)
print(y)
break
w = w + i
Still working but if anyone sees obvious problems I'd LOVE to hear about it.36 -
"Thank you for choosing Microsoft!"
No Microsoft, I really didn't choose you. This crappy hardware made you the inevitable, not a choice.
And like hell do I want to run your crappy shit OS. I tried to reset my PC, got all my programs removed (because that's obviously where the errors are, not the OS, right? Certified motherfuckers). Yet the shit still didn't get resolved even after a reset. Installing Windows freshly again, because "I chose this".
Give me a break, Microshaft. If it wasn't for your crappy OS, I would've gone to sleep hours ago. Yet me disabling your shitty telemetry brought this shit upon me, by disabling me to get Insider updates just because I added a registry key and disabled a service. Just how much are you going to force data collection out of your "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" users, Microsoft?
Honestly, at this point I think that Microsoft under Ballmer might've been better. Because while Linux was apparently cancer back then, at least this shitty data collection for "a free OS" wasn't yet a thing back then.
My mother still runs Vista, an OS that has since a few months ago reached EOL. Last time she visited me I recommended her to switch to Windows 7, because it looks the same but is better in terms of performance and is still supported. She refused, because it might damage her configurations. Granted, that's probably full of malware but at this point I'm glad she did.
Even Windows 7 has telemetry forcibly enabled at this point. Vista may be unsupported, but at least it didn't fall victim to the current status quo - data mining on every Microshaft OS that's still supported.
Microsoft may have been shady ever since they pursued manufacturers into defaulting to their OS, and GPU manufacturers will probably also have been lobbied into supporting Windows exclusively. But this data mining shit? Not even the Ballmer era was as horrible as this. My mother may not realize it, but she unknowingly avoided it.6 -
What's the difference between a wasp and single loose hair?
Apparently none till the wasp stings :/
Yesterday I thought I had a loose hair on my neck.. ok, I shrug it off.. later again the creepy feeling.. shrugs off..
I continue to work, sumberged in code, wanting to find the fucker (bug, not the wasp/hair).. lean in to the monitor... 10 cents away from the screen... Ok, maybe that's it! Feels the hair on my back, near shoulderblades again... shrugging again more violently to get it further down to fall out.. nothing.. ok, got the bug, threw myslef back in the chair with substential force & BAAAAM!!! Motherfucking hair bit me!! O.o
I scream in horror & on top of the lungs (it was late, after work hours so I didn't expect anyone else still at the office) PROKLETA PRASICA (roughly translated to goddamn female swine).. I previously saw some green bug flying around the office and I thought that nasty thing bit me (didn't know they bite soo, much more horror for me).. O.o
Anyhow, I jump up from the computer and see my coworker looking at me all baffled.. I proceed to franticly take of my headphones and hoodie..thinking about wtf should I do now, I cannot get undressed in front of him (not for my sake, bra is the same as top of the bathing suit for me, but still..I don't want anyone suing me for impropper behaviour of undreasing in front of coworkers..), how the fuck should I get to the toilet?! O.o
C: Are you ok?!
M: Um.. sth bit me..wtf?!
C: There was a wasp flying around somewhere some time ago.. are you alergic?!
M: um..not sure, I don't think so..we'll see soon..
I proceed to the WC, to take off tshirt & check/kill off the fucker.. on my way there (walking funny to not press the hair to my body again) I got another surprise, another coworker was working late..
C2: Are you ok?! O.o
M: yeah, sth bit me, probably a wasp..
Ok, finally on the loo..ok, do not lock self in in case it escapes and you need help.. don't even shut the door. Check.. standing between the doors I contemplate on how the fuck should I take my tshirt off without angering the fucker even more and getting bitten again.. O.O
I lifted the tshirt up my back to let it out.. nope, not there..the creepy felling of buzzing around between my shoulder blades continues.. crap.. what to do?!
I stood there & contemplated the task.. ok, roll up the tshirt to the shoulder blades, not against the body (duh) to prevent further stings..tighten the fabric, so it cannot escape, quickly remove the band from the body.. done..reversed the tshirt and straightened it.. bzzz... Fucker fell somewhere.. Dafaq?! Was it really just a wasp?! If yes, no problem...but what if coworker was wrong and I got bitten by that nasty green whateveritsname bug?! Eeeeewwww! Is it poisonous? Gotta find it & kill it for good.. waited a bit, than saw a goddamn wasp crawl from under the toilet.. wasp!! Yess!! Stopm stomp fucker!!
I get dressed & go back to my desk..
C: Did you terminate it?!
M: Yup, fucker went on a toilet paper trip down the drain!!
I sit down, starting to get my headphones back on and proceed to work.., but before I could, one last gem:
C: CTO would say, thank god it didn't sting you in your finger cuz you wouldn't be able to type anymore..
M: O.O so true hahhahahaaa
Disclaimer - I like animals, but I freakking hate wasps..especially if they get under my tshirt to sting.. :/7 -
FLOYD IS HERE 😎
Gather around kids, it's story time.
So my first breakup left me so damaged and I was in darkest phase of my life. I was alone. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. I went for therapy and spearheaded into success and grew in life soooo fucking much.
31st December 2016, I first joined dR and since the first day this place felt home. Met some of brightest mind and most amazing souls here (sadly many left the place).
I used to shit post and rant a lot. But I loved everyone here. But then I don't quite remember, but I decided to quit this place as community started to grow. Many others left as well.
I came back here in 2019 IIRC and started all over again. Got along well with new members and started having fun.
I used to crib and cry about being underpaid. Lost a kickass Europe job due to pandemic.
I will skip what all happened between me and @Scout but she is a sweetheart, though very rough and brutal with me at times (actually very often), but she is so selfish for me and cares for me that I couldn't resist but listen to her always. A lifelong friend for sure :)
I used to rant about my dumb office colleagues. Definitely not the sharpest minds but good people at heart (which I did not realise).
So in October 2020, I earned a new job and my company retained me with a 100% raise and a promotion making me lead of product innovation and UX.
November end I met a girl in professional context on LinkedIn who was conducting a workshop. Being hungry for learning, meeting new people and kill my lockdown boredom, I singed up.
Now I went for December break and my colleagues sent me a gift hamper when they came to know I got a promotion. I felt bad that I ranted about them so I deleted my account and also wanted a social detox.
Post the workshop, I started conversing casually with the girl I met. She was married. But things hit off. Eventually in February end I confessed that I had feelings for her and in next few days she reciprocated. I told her I was aware of her marital status and it's okay if nothing happens between us. Then she started to open up of how she was with one guy for 17 years and was abused in everyway and wanted to separate but never had the courage and all.
She decided to file for paperwork and then be with me. Things got messy when her family got involved thinking I was causing all of it.
She went back to her partner and I realised I had some emotional and mental issues of a person's past that bothered me. But we were overcoming it. Soon the honeymoon period started phasing out.
Her family started giving me death threats. We went underground even further. More arguments and fights between us.
@Scout kept telling me I was stupid and I disregarded her. I feel like an idiot for not listening to her.
That girl kept gaslighting me, hurting me intentionally, scratching the surface made me realise how broken and damaged she was. She lied to me and created fake persona of herself to make me fall for her. Everything was lie. Literally.
I felt horrible for trusting her. My trauma relapsed and I started having crazy panic attacks leading to self harm and being suicidal. That girl was drugged all the time with psychological medicines and very poor character & personality in general (I don't want to judge anyone but just stating the facts).
Eventually she just disappeared and I was like fuck this. Earlier, after every fight, she used to show fake affection and I used to melt but not this time.
I was like fuck this shit. I have some super amazing friends like @kiki who helped me overcome this. I started going for therapy and realised what all areas I need to improve. My therapist is soooo brilliant, she understands the root cause instantly and also knows how to fix it. And the same day I and both my parents were COVID-19 positive. Last few weeks were dark and haunting.
Further more, the girl comes back after a week and then acts as a 'nice girl'.
Initially fake affection, then drama, followed by making me guilt trip, then threats, and now blaming me.
I kept ignoring her calls (50 to 70 calls in a day), emails, left her unread on Telegram, and everything I could do to ignore her without blocking her. I started gaining my happiness back.
During this mess, I lost 5+ KG of weight. She has no friends in her mid 30s. Knows no life or survival skills. Her family hates her, no career, no emotional or mental maturity, literally nothing. Insanely dumb and toxic manipulative person who is not even worth being called an ex. As per her everyone around her is an asshole except her. Every time something happened, she used to blame and bad mouth the other person. Now she is doing with me. In all her life situations, either she was a hero or a victim. One upped me all the time. Now that I see it, I hate myself for allowing it all of it and now having enough self worth to walk out of it earlier.

I swear I work with mentally deranged lunatics.
Dev is/was using TFS's web api to read some config stuff..
Ralph: "Ugh..this is driving me crazy. I've spent all day trying to read this string from TFS and it is not working"
Me: "Um, reading a string from an web api is pretty easy, what's the problem?"
Ralph: "I'm executing the call in a 'using' statement and cannot return the stream."
Me: "Why do you need to return a stream? Return the object you are looking for."
Ralph: "Its not that easy. You can return anything from TFS. All you get back is a stream. Could be XML, JSON, text file, image, anything."
Me: "What are you trying to return?"
Ralph: "XML config. If I use XDoc, the stream works fine, but when I step into each byte from the stream, I the first three bytes have weird characters. I shouldn't have to skip the first three bytes to get the data. I spent maybe 5 hours yesterday digging around the .Net stream readers used in XDoc trying to figure out how it skips the first few bytes."
Me: "Wow...I would have used XDoc and been done and not worried about that other junk."
Ralph: "But I don't know the stream is XML. That's what I need to figure out."
Me: "What is there to figure out? You do know. Its your request. You are requesting a XML config."
Ralph: "No, the request can be anything. What if Sam requests an image? XDoc isn't going to work."
Me: "Is that a use-case? Sam requesting an image?"
Ralph: "Uh..I don't know...he could"
Me: "Sounds like your spending a lot of time doing premature optimization. You know what your accessing TFS for, if it's XML, return XML. If it's an image, return an image. Something new comes along, modify the code to handle it. Eazy peezy."
<boss walks in from a meeting>
Boss: "Whats up guys?"
Ralph: "You know the problem with TFS and not being able to stream the data I had all day yesterday? I finally figured it out. I need to keep this TFS reader simple. I'll start with the XML configs and if we more readers later, we can add them."
Boss: "Oh yea, always start simple and add complexity only when you need it."
Frack...Frack..Frack...you played some victim complaining to anyone who would listen yesterday (which I mostly ignored) about reading data from TFS was this monumental problem no one could solve, then you start complaining to me, I don't fall for the BS, then tell the boss the solution was your idea?
Lunatic or genius? Wally would be proud.

OK.
1. So i tindered.
2. I got a really nice girl.
3. We chatted really long and good.
4. We tried to meetup it did not work because of our schedule. New
job on my end, she is a student.
5. I thought its over. Fine whatever.
6. She gives me her number.
7. We continue chat on whatsapp
8. Blablabla 3 days long, she gets bored and tries to friendzone me
9. I revert the shit and state i wanna be serious and there wont be a
friendzone/nice guy comin from me.
10. She happy and continues to chat.
11. I get emtionally invested in her.
12. We exchange thoughts dreams and music.
13 We want to meetup at weekend. I cant. Got a family wedding all
weekend.
14. We want to meetup the second week.
I cant. Im off on a company trip. Again new job here.
15. So we say in the week after I get back.
15a. Before the weekend we need to deliver an rc and go all out to hold
the deadline.
15b. We deliver, but shit happens on the customer side. His fault but we
get the blame.
15c I go onto the company trip.
16. We chat and i send her pictures of the trip over the weekend so she
sees I care.
17. She seems fine. And happy.
18. I come back from the trip late night and need to work the next day
jetlag style.
19. I work jetlag style. And try to fix the shit from last week.
20. I come home really tired and looking forward to date day tomorrow.
21. I cant do anything. My home looks like shit and the bag still
unpacked. I just eat and fall asleep.
I feel bad bcs my home will turn her down instantly if we make it to my
place.
Need to hope that it does not come to this.
22. Date day comes. Today.
23. I wake up at 6 early to plan ahead to make sure my clothes are fine
and i arrive on time in the office to exit early.
24. I expect to check what goes on today in the city and give her the
location to meet and time.
25. I enter office and immeadetly get caught up in meeting planning, dev
questions and the meeting itself because the project is on edge.
26. We have a 5hours long meeting where people go on and on and on.
27. 3h later in the meeting:
my brain was fried and around 12 i go to lunch with some people.
28. Meanwhile the city is turning into a rainy mess of a shitty day. No
way I can have a nice walk with her like that. Bars and coffeshops are
just to boring.
29. So i eat to regain some sense and we go back to the office.
Meanwhile I am thinking all kinds of locations and stuff in my head.
30. Havent given her any update since a good morning in the morning.
31. We reenter the meeting. Things continue like before. The project is
on impossible demands and impossible timelines. Still we try to do our
best.
32 3h later on 3pm I tell her i am in a long meeting and working on a
meetingspot.
33. shes not happy.
34. I get a call from a relative
35. i need to go out and take the call. not good for the collegues.
again new job here.
36. family trouble, money trouble, goverment demands. I promise to
handle that tomorrow. Before work.
37. i get back into the meeting.
38. still super slow and no results.
39. need to focus but start to check for locations on my phone.
40. she asks me where i am
41. I send her my location.
42. she thinks i am saying she should pick me up!
43 i joke and say no definitly not.
44. shes pissed.
45. I decide for a coffeeshop. after work. and send her the location
46. She says to call it off.
47. I go all in and go romance style. I say ill wait there even if she
does not come to show her how much i care.
U know to avoid the lets do it some other time fuckery and then it never
happens.
47. She goes quiet.
48. 2h later we finish the meeting. Meanwhile QA foudn a bug we need to
fix because why not.
49. I got 30 minutes to find the bug and fix it before I need to go to
uphold my word.
50. I find out what to do, but it might break a lot of other things
without careful test and implementation. Collegues says he takes it.
51 I feel bad but I need to go. I even leave earlier because otherwise I
would not be on time.
52. I arrive 15 minutes early. I grab two coffee2go and wait outside,
53. Shitty weather, sometimes rain, sometimes sunny, cant decide what it
wants.
54. The weather is just like how I feel.
55. I wait 1 1/2h
56. I think I should feel stupid, For gods sake its tinder. People dont
give a crap, Enough people around why should I Invest so much into this?
But I dont feel stupid. Because this is how I want it. I dont want
appointments, I dont want safety. I decided for her and I went all in.
57. I send her pics from the sceneray as proof that I waited,
58. I think I blew it. She is still quiet.
59. Friends are asking me for plans for the weekend. I wish I could say
I already have some with her.
60. I feel lost right now. But my head says I put too much stress on
her, And i fucked up with the planning. I should have been more precise.
My head also says that i am putting myself into the victim role, which
is wrong always. Should I continue to reach out to her? Is there
something I could do still?68 -
If you can be locked out of it remotely, you don't own it.
On May 3rd, 2019, the Microsoft-resembling extension signature system of Mozilla malfunctioned, which locked out all Firefox users out of their browsing extensions for that day, without an override option. Obviously, it is claimed to be "for our own protection". Pretext-o-meter over 9000!
BMW has locked heated seats, a physical interior feature of their vehicles, behind a subscription wall. This both means one has to routinely spend time and effort renewing it, and it can be terminated remotely. Even if BMW promises never to do it, it is a technical possibility. You are in effect a tenant in a car you paid for. Now imagine your BMW refused to drive unless you install a software update. You are one rage-quitting employee at BMW headquarters away from getting stuck on a side of a road. Then you're stuck in an expensive BMW while watching others in their decade-old VW Golf's driving past you. Or perhaps not, since other stuck BMWs would cause traffic jams.
Perhaps this horror scenario needs to happen once so people finally realize what it means if they can be locked out of their product whenever the vendor feels like it.
Some software becomes inaccessible and forces the user to update, even though they could work perfectly well. An example is the pre-installed Samsung QuickConnect app. It's a system app like the Wi-Fi (WLAN) and Bluetooth settings. There is a pop-up that reads "Update Quick connect", "A new version is available. Update now?"; when declining, the app closes. Updating requires having a Samsung account to access the Galaxy app store, and creating such requires providing personally identifiable details.
Imagine the Bluetooth and WiFi configuration locking out the user because an update is available, then ask for personal details. Ugh.
The WhatsApp messenger also routinely locks out users until they update. Perhaps messaging would cease to work due to API changes made by the service provider (Meta, inc.), however, that still does not excuse locking users out of their existing offline messages. Telegram does it the right way: it still lets the user access the messages.
"A retailer cannot decide that you were licensing your clothes and come knocking at your door to collect them. So, why is it that when a product is digital there is such a double standard? The money you spend on these products is no less real than the money you spend on clothes." – Android Authority ( https://androidauthority.com/digita... ).
A really bad scenario would be if your "smart" home refused to heat up in winter due to "a firmware update is available!" or "unable to verify your subscription". Then all you can do is hope that any "dumb" device like an oven heats up without asking itself whether it should or not. And if that is not available, one might have to fall back on a portable space heater, a hair dryer or a toaster. Sounds fun, huh? Not.
Cloud services (Google, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.) can, by design, lock out the user, since they run on the computers of the service provider. However, remotely taking away things one paid for or has installed on ones own computer/smartphone violates a sacred consumer right.
This is yet another benefit of open-source software: someone with programming and compiling experience can free the code from locks.
I don't care for which "good purpose" these kill switches exist. The fact that something you paid for or installed locally on your device can be remotely disabled is dystopian and inexcuseable.12 -
I'm an advocate of free software, debian specifically, hell my business runs on it!
But sometimes you just can't get around to use proprietry software. One of those is nvidia....
WHAT THE FUCKING MESSED UP NAGGING NARK SHIT NVIDIA!!! YOU FUCKING BREAK MY SYSTEM! YOU WONT PROPERLY COMPILE YOUR KERNEL MODULE, YOU BREAK MY X, AND ONCE I FIXED ALL THOSE THINGS MANUALLY(!) YOU HAVE THE FUCKING GUTS TO NOT EVEN DETECT MY SCREENS PROPERLY
WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT!!! NVIDIA YOU SUCK!!! MOTHERFUCKER DO I REALLY HAVE TO FALL BACK TO INTEL GRAPHICS??? FUCK YOUR FUCKING COMPANY AND ESPECIALLY YOUR LINUX SUPPORT
And no i am not planning to use ATI since they dont support EGL, what is a dependency for the gnome desktop...6 -
Look, I get that it's really tricky to assess whether someone is or isn't skilled going solely by their profile.
That's alright.
What isn't center of the cosmic rectum alright with the fucking buttsauce infested state of interviews is that you give me the most far fetched and convoluted nonsense to solve and then put me on a fucking timer.
And since there isn't a human being on the other side, I can't even ask for clarification nor walk them through my reasoning. No, eat shit you cunt juice swallowing mother fucker, anal annhilation on your whole family with a black cock stretching from Zimbabwe to Singapore, we don't care about this "reasoning" you speak of. Fuck that shit! We just hang out here, handing out tricks in the back alley and smoking opium with vietnamese prostitutes, up your fucking ass with reason.
Let me tell you something mister, I'm gonna shove a LITERAL TON of putrid gorilla SHIT down your whore mouth then cum all over your face and tits, let's see how you like THAT.
Cherry on top: by the time I began figuring out where my initial approach was wrong, it was too late. Get that? L'esprit d'escalier, bitch. I began to understand the problem AFTER the timer was up. I could solve it now, except it wouldn't do me any fucking good.
The problem? Locate the topmost 2x2 block inside a matrix whose values fall within a particular range. It's easy! But if you don't explain it properly, I have to sit down re-reading the description and think about what the actual fuck is this cancerous liquid queef that just got forcefully injected into my eyes.
But since I can't spend too much time trying to comperfukenhend this two dollar handjob of a task, which I'd rather swap for teabagging a hairy ass herpes testicle sack, there's rushing in to try and make sense of this shit as I type.
So I'm about 10 minutes down or so already, 35 to go. I finally decipher that I should get the XY coords of each element within the specified range, then we'll walk an array of those coordinates and check for adjacency. Easy! Done, and done.
Another 10 minutes down, all checks in place. TEST. Wait, wat? Where's the output? WHERE. THE FUCK. IS. THE OUTPUT?! BITCH GIMME AN ANSWER. I COUT'D THE RETURN AND CAN SEE THE TERMINAL BUT ITS NOT SHOWING ME ANYTHINGGG?! UUUGHHH FUCKKFKFKFKFKFKFKFUFUFUFFKFK (...)
Alright, we have about 20 minutes left to finish this motorsaw colonoscopy, and I can't see what my code is outputting so I'm walking through the code myself trying to figure out if this will work. Oh, look at that I have to MANUALLY click this fucking misaligned text that says "clear" in order for any new output to register. Lovely, 10/10 web design, I will violate your armpits with an octopus soaked in rabid bear piss.
Mmmh, looks like I got this wrong. Figures. I'm building the array of coordinates sequentially, as a one dimentional list, which is very inconvenient for finding adjacent elements. No problem, let's try and fix that aaaaaand... SHIT IM ALMOST OUT OF TIME.
QUICK LYEB, QUICK!! REMEMBER WHAT FISCELLA TAUGHT YOU, IN BETWEEN MOLESTING YOUR SOUL WITH 16-BIT I/O CONSOLE PROBLEMS, LIKE THAT BITCH SNOWFALL THING YOU HAD TO SOLVE FOR A FRIEND USING TURBO C ON A FUCKING TOASTER IN COMPUTER LAB! RUN MOTHERFUCKER RUN!!!
I'm SWEATING. HEAVILY. I'm STEAMING, NON-EROTICALLY. Less than 10 minutes left. I'm trying to correct the code I have, but I start making MORE dumbfuck mistakes because I'm in a hurry!
5 minutes left. As I hit this point of no return, I realize exactly where my initial reasoning went wrong, and how I could fix it, but I can't because I don't have enough time. Sadface.
So I hastily put together skeleton of the correct implementation, and as the clock is nearly up, I write a comment explaining the bits I can't get to write. Page up, top of file, type "the editor was shit LMAO" and comment it out. SUBMIT.

Alright lads here is the thing, have not been posting anything other than replies to things cuz I have been busy being miserable at school and dealing with work stuff.
Our manager left us back in February. Because she was leaving I decided that I wanted to try a different path and went on to become a programmer analyst for my institution, if anything I knew that it was going to be pretty boring work, but it came with nice monetary compensation and a foot in the door for other data science related jobs in the future. Thing is, the department head asked me to stay in the web technologies department because we had a lack of people there and hiring is hard as shit, we do not do remote jobs since our work usually requires a level of discretion and security. Thus I have been working in the web tech department since she left albeit with a different title since I aced the interview for the analyst position and the team there were more than happy to have me. I have done very few things for them, some reports here and there and mostly working directly with the DBA in some projects. One migration project would have costed my institution a total of 58k and we managed to save the cost by building the migration software ourselves.....honestly it was a fucking cake walk, if you had any doubts about the shaddyness of enterprise level applications regarding selling overpriced shit with different levels of complexity, keep them, enterprise is shaddy af indeed. But I digress.
I wrote the specification for the manager position along the previous manager, we had decided that the next candidate needed to be strong with development knowledge as well as other things as to properly understand and manage a software team, we made the academic requirement(fuck you, yes we did ask for academic requirements) to be either in the Computer Science/software engineering area or at least on the Business Administration side. We were willing to consider BA holders in exchange for having knowledge of the development process of different products and a complete understanding of what developers go through. NOT ONE SINGLE motherfucker was able to satisfy this, some of them were idiots that I knew from before that had ABSOLUTELY no business even considering applying to the position, the courage it took for some of these assholes to apply would have hurt their mothers, their God if they had one, and their country, they were just that fucking bad in their jobs as well as being overall shit people.
Then we had 1 candidate actually fall through the cracks enough to get an interview. My dude here was lying out of his ass through the interview process. According to him he had "lots of Laravel experience and experience managing Laravel projects" and mentioned repeatedly how it would be a technology that we should consider for our products. I was to interview him alongside the vice president of our institution due to the head of my department and the rest of the managers for I.T being on vacation leave all at the same bloody time.
Backstory before the interview:
Whilst I was going over the interview questions with the vice president literally offered me the job instead. I replied with honesty, reflecting how I did not originally wanted him but feeling that our institution was ready to settle on any candidate due to the lack of potentials. He was happy to do it since apparently both him and the HOD were expecting me to step up sooner or later. I was floored.
Regardless, out of kindness he wanted to go through the interview.
So, going back to the interview. As soon as the person in question referenced the framework I started to ask him about it, just simple questions, the first was "what are your thoughts on the Eloquent ORM? I am not too fond of it and want to know what you as a full time laravel dev think of it"
his reply: "I am sorry I am not too familiar with it, I don't know what that is" <--- I appreciated his honesty in this but thought it funny that someone would say that he was a Laravel developer whilst not knowing what an ORM was since you can't really get away from using it on the initial stages of learning about Laravel, maybe if one wanted to go through the hurdle of switching to something like doctrine...but even then, it was....odd.
So I met with the hod when he came back, he was stoked at the prospect of having me become the manager and I happily accepted the position. It will be hell, but I don't even need to hit the ground running since I have been the face of the department since ages. My team were ecstatic about it since we are all close friends and they have been following my directions without complaints(but the ocational eat a dick puto) for some time, we work well together and we are happy to finally have someone to stop the constant barrage that comes from people taking advantage of a missing manager.
Its gonna get good, its gonna get fun, and i am getting to see how shit goes.7 -
Please take sleep deprivation seriously!
Take care of it and don't allow stress to take you over.
Here's a little story of what happened to me:
I've had sleep problems for all of my life, but the beginning of last summer 2018 it went too far. I turned 18 and somehow all the school, dev and personal work started to pile up, I stressed about them and started to have no sleep every other day and little sleep another. Immediately I took time off from everything for trying get better sleep.
Having no sleep means that your brain starts to run in really low gear but you might not even notice it. So I started stressing about every little detail, making ridiculous decisions and doing stuff that didn't really make any sense.
I went to a doctor and was ordered to take time off for a month or so and start medication with bunch of different pills. At the time I thought the medication could wait for a day and went to an old work friend's place for night stay to discuss about everything. That wasn't obviously the thing I should've done. I was up all of that night, he slept, and in the morning he noticed something was really a bit off about me.
We went to the hospital and I agreed for a treatment in there. They got me to sleep normally again and I rested there for a while. I went back home or actually my parents' place and the problems continued, and back to the hospital I go. This time there was no choice. After a really long while, my mind started to stabilize enough that I was allowed to return to my everyday life: enjoying my summer break. It was an awful summer. I often felt lonely and bored. But at least I slept normally.
In the fall I returned to my usual busy schedule. And life's good again. This time I will manage my stress and sleep better and take them to account when planning schedule.16 -
Remember in the early days we were taught to build online apps and sites that worked with or WITHOUT Javascript. Guess they don't teach that anymore8

so... not really a rant because i'm happy to be in the long-term zenlike state where i don't really give a fuck about anything anymore, but...
so today's my birthday (thanks in advance for all the semi-mandatory "cheers" reactions and such)
the agency i do temp jobs through sends money weekly (for the one week back) (which is the main and only reason i use them). they arrive at friday 12:25, so that's when i know to go "check" by withdrawing it, and it's also awesome because it's the best time to provide funds to reward myself (by booze/weed) at the end of the week.
last week, nothing came in. i called them and learned it was due to the contact person in the company i did job in being too late on sending the agency list of people who showed up at the work, i was told it's gonna arrive one week later together with the proper payment for the week-1,so effectively i was one week without any money (literally), but on the next week double was going to arrive, which is nice.
that next week of double was now. i found out that no double arrived, only single-value payment. i called them to ask why.
i was told that what arrived was the late payment, and the dude in company was again late with sending the presence list, so the other payment, for the proper week's work, will be a week late again.
so... that kinda ruined my financial planning tor tge week that's going to happen.
i guess my point (if i have any) is... funny how when someone fucks up, there's nobody for me to be angry at and hold responsible in any way, but when i have delays in my work due to delays upstream, nobody gives a shit about my excuses and it's my fault and i should have compensated, it was my responsibility and duty, and me not doing it (to my own detriment, for someone else) is me failing.
funny how the subjective dynamics of the world always somehow works out in a way where everyone else fucks up and i either have to suck it up and be okay with it otherwise i'm a selfish unreliable entitled asshole, or suck it up and extinguish their fire for them, otherwise i'm a selfish unreliable entitled asshole XD
anyone else noticed this in their life?
how does it work? what is the factor that decides whether you're in the "suck it up" class or the "fuck it, someone else will suck it up" class?
doesn't seem to (just) be the money(flow), i've seen this thing happen even in situations where the money/client dynamics were flowing the opposite way to what would be natural for the shit fall direction.4 -
This isn't a funny rant or story. It's one of becoming increasingly unsure of the career choices I've made the path they've led me down. And it's written with terrible punctuation and grammar, because it's a cathartic post. I swear I'm a better writer than this.
The highlights:
- I left a low-paying incredibly stable job with room to grow (think specialized office worker at a uni) to become a QA tester at a AAA game studio, after growing bored with the job and letting my productivity and sometimes even attendance slip
- I left AAA studio after having been promoted through the ranks to leading an embedded test tools development team where we automated testing the game (we got to create bots, basically!) and the database, and building some of the most requested tools internally to the company; but we were paid as if we were QA testers, not engineers, and were told that wouldn't change; rather than move over or up, I moved out to a better paying, less fabulous web and tools development job for a no-name company
- No-name company offered one or two days remote, was salaried, and close to home. CTO was a fan of long lunches and Quake 3 Arena 1-2 hours at the end of every day. CTO position was removed, I got a lot of his responsibilities, none of his pay, and started freelancing to learn new skills rather than deal with the CFO being my boss.
- Went to work as a freelancer for an email marketing SaaS provider my previous job had used. Made loads of money, dealt with an old, crappy code base, an old, cranky senior dev, and an owner who ran around like the world was on fire 24/7; but I worked without pants, bought a car, a house, had a kid, etc;
Now during ALL of this, I was teaching game dev as an adjunct at my former uni. This past fall, I went full time as a professor in game dev. I took a huge pay cut, but got a steady schedule (semester to semester anyway) and great benefits. I for once chose what I thought was the job I wanted over more money and something that was just "different". And honestly, I've regretted it so much. My peer / diagonally above me coworker feels untrustworthy half the time and teaches the majority of the programming courses when he's a designer and I've been the game programming professor for 8 years (I also teach non-game programming courses, but those just got folded into the games program...); I hate full-time uni politics; I'm struggling with money for my family; and I am in the car all the time it feels like. I could probably go back to my last job, which had some benefits, but nowhere near as good; my wife doesn't want me back to working in the house all the time because that was a struggle unto itself once we had a kid (for all of us, in different ways); and I have now less than 24 hours to tell my university I want to not pursue longer term contracts for full-time and go back to adjunct next Fall (or walk away entirely), or risk burning a bridge (we are reviewing applicants for next year tomorrow, including my own) by bailing out mid-application process.
I'm not sure I'm asking for advice. I'm really just ranting, I guess. Some people I know would kill to have the opportunities I have. I just feel like each job choice led me further away from a job I liked, towards more money, which was a tradeoff that worked out mostly, but now I feel like I don't have either, and I'm trapped due to healthcare and 401k and such. Sure, I like working more with my students and have been able to really support them in their endeavors this semester, but... that's their lives. Not mine. The wife thinks I should stay at the university and we'll figure out money eventually (we are literally sinking into debt, it's not going well at all), while most people think I should leave, make money, and figure out the happiness factor once my finances are back on track and the kid is old enough to be in school.
And I have less than 24 hours it feels like to make a momentous decision.
Yay. Thanks for reading :)1 -
It's been a long time since I've felt the need to rant about anything here. This is the only appropriate place other than Reddit I can think for for now.
Why the ever-living FUCK does every 'entry-level' tech job, even fucking DESKTOP SUPPORT, require more experience than the fucking DEVELOPER AND ENGINEER OF THE INITIAL SYSTEM COULD POSSIBLY HAVE?! I'm a fucking high school kid trying to find a decent job that doesn't involve sales bullshit, because if I go into sales I'll want to KMS. Put me in a back room fixing shit, monitoring shit, better yet scripting shit or something like that and I'll be FUCKING PEACHY. I will do wonders. But no, these people must think that my resume (WHICH IS 3-YEARS STACKED WITH INTERNSHIPS ***IN TECHNOLOGY***) is bullshit. WOW.
Fuck this. I'm sick of looking for these shitty jobs that'll make me want to jump off of a bridge into a cliff which I'll then voluntarily fall off of into shark infested piranha water. Can't there just be a simple "Hey, we need a guy who can fix tech, maybe help people within the company with their computer issues, you look nice" kind of job? I haven't had fucking TIME to get any kind of certifications yet. I just got into fucking college, FOR BUSINESS IT NONETHELESS. DOES THAT PROVE I'M AT LEAST FUCKING INTERESTED IN WHAT I SAY I AM FUCKERS?!7 -
It is the year 2451 ad and mankind rules the galaxy with a lazy iron fist. There are roughly 14,000 civilizations, comprised of just over
17,000 intelligent species on a quarter of a million earth-like
worlds. And all of them call themselves 'the galactic empire'.
No one told them that twenty planets doesn't qualify them for the title "galactic."
Well, we could rule, if we wanted to. Most of its just backwaters that no one wants anyway. It turned out that the reason no one invaded earth before was because they were too busy fighting themselves. Stupidity it appears, is not a unique human quality. That and the sex robots. Theres more of them in the galaxy than actual meatbags. Many species had taken to artificial wombs and 'vatbabies', which is exactly what they are called. Those poor bastards will carry that label for life.
We never did break light speed, but most of the rich exist in hypersleep anyway. Most of them only wake up once a year or so. There are some that only creek out of bed to check their stock portfolio. I hear there is even one trillionaire thats up and about once a century to ask if we have broken light speed yet.
Despite all the progress over the last 400 years, historians all agree about the most significant event in modern history.
The lobster went extinct two hundred years ago on earth.
Theres been riots ever since.

In other news I'm still working on the game I guess. It's like totally the most okay indie game you'll ever play--if I ever finish it.
I put about a year of work into the NPC system, and then chatGPT came out.
After everything thats happened, at this point I may just make a game about an indie dev making a survival game, being stuck in the actual apocalypse or some weird political dysopia.
Put it on rewind, it was originally a zombie game. But at the time the market got flooded and steam sales for zombie games cratered. So I pivoted to something more along the lines of fallout. Then the flash market crashed, bunch of publishers folded, and adobe stopped support for flash (probably for the best). Then newgrounds, which I was gonna launch on for promotion (because actual marketing is expensive), ended support for flash.
Was going the route of kickstarter, and that year the KS market got flooded and the bar rose almost over night so you needed super high production quality out the gate, and a network of support you already built for months.
We had a brief nuclear war scare, and I watched the articles come out about market saturation for post-apocalypse games, so I pivoted back to zombies. Then covid happened and the entire topic was really fucked. So I went back to fallout meets rimworld. Then we had a flood of games doing that exact premise pretty much out of the fucking blue, so I went for a more single-survivor type game. Then ukraine happened and the threat of nuclear war has been slowly sapping the genre of its steam, on well, steam.
Then I was told to get a cancer screening which I can't afford. Then I broke a tooth and spent a month in agony.
Then a family member died. Then I made no money from the sale of a business I did everything to help get off the ground, then I helped renovate an entire house on short notice and sell it, then I lost two months living in a hotel
while looking for a new place to live. Then I spent two and a half years suffering low-level alcoholism, insomnia, and drifting between jobs.
Then I wrote amazing poetry. And then I rediscovered my love of math. And then I made out for the first time in over a year. And then I rediscovered my love of piano and guitar. And then I fell into severe depression for the last year. Then I made actual discoveries in math. And I learned to love my hobbies again, and jog, and not drink so much, and sing, and go on long drives, and occasional hikes, and talk to people again, and even start designing games and UIs again. And then I learned that doing amazing things without a lot of money is still possible, and then I discovered the sunk cost fallacy, and run on sentences, and how inside me there was a part of me that refused to quit because of circumstances I couldn't control, and then I learned that life goes on even when others lives have ended, even when everything and everyone never had an once of faith in you, and you've become the avatar of the bad luck brian meme..still, life goes on.
And we try to pick up the pieces, try, one more time, because the climb, and the fall, and the getting back up, is all there is.
What I would recommend, if you're thinking of making a game, or becoming an independent game developer, is, unless you have a *lot* of money upfront (think 50-100k saved, minimum, like one years income *bare* minimum), and unless you already have a full decade in the industry--don't make a game.
Just don't.15 -
I'm still wet behind the ears as developers go, and about a month ago I cobbled together a webservice. After many bug fixes I somehow got it working as intended, held together by tape and shoestring and creaking all the while.
This week, one of the consumers of the service wanted me to open it back up to change the name of the request .xsd. no functionality changes, just a name change.
I protested, worried my service would fall apart if I breathed on it. But he insisted so I made the change.
I just tested it and... it's working as intended.
But I still want to be mad about this!! -
In my opinion, russian nation's chronic inability to fight oppressive regimes is partly attributed to one interesting quirk the russian language has.
When talking about injustice committed against someone, or making threats to commit said injustice, the actor is completely omitted.
Here's an example:
“Надо будет — найдут”, roughly translated to “they could find you if they wanted to”, is a common phrase to use when talking about proxies, VPNs and other online privacy measures. But the word “they” in English translation is nowhere to be found in the original text! Let's examine the literal translation:
- “надо будет” — “the need will arise”
- “найдут” — “will find you”
The English phrase “they could find you if they wanted to” can be easily challenged with a simple question: “Who's they?” The government? The corporates? The regime? The CIA? Who exactly?
English language can mimic that with passive voice: “you are being watched”, “you are an easy target”, etc. But in active voice, you can't avoid using “they” or some other actor.
In russian, you can. And you will. Indeed, this is how russian people converse. It's a very specific, very common pattern that never really changed.
It's a very powerful thought-terminating cliché built straight into the language. You can't fight an enemy that has no name and no word to describe it, not even a euphemism. The very language you THINK in prevents you from analyzing the entities that oppress you.
In a Tom Scott Plus video where he tried tightrope walking, he learned that they don't say the “F-word” — “fall”. You can't say “I'm afraid I'll fall”. You have to find more specific alternatives like “I'm afraid I'll lose balance”. The word “fall” in this context is a thought-terminating cliché. There is no going back after you “fall”. But if you “lose balance”, you can “regain balance” — the lack of a thought-terminating cliché promotes problem-solving.
Russian language is the same, but in soviet russia, language terminates you, I guess.1 -

So you are running ads and people who click your ads land on a blog post? What is the goal? How are you measuring conversions? How do you know if an ad or post actually helped?
Am: "When can you get this up?"
Me: "I don't have any of the information I need to make a page."
Am: "skip all the seo crap and tell me how long to get the content online"
Me: "you're missing the whole point of a blog post. But ok it's online"
Am: "was that so hard?"
No, putting garbage on a site is not hard. Creating useful web pages with content that is easy to find and read is a time consuming process and it would go smoother and faster if you followed the checklist I gave you which lays out what I want, in a single, cohesive document, all of the necessary pieces to a web page or blog post or content edit. We have templates for you to follow to help eliminate back and forth emails which causes things to get lost or fall through the cracks. -
In my early days I thought "fallback" is a bad thing like, hey no wait I don't want my function to fall back! I want it to move forward, man!!!1

techie 1 : hey, can you give me access to X?
techie 2 : the credentials should be in the password manager repository
t1 : oh, but I don't have access to the password manager
t2 : I see your key A1B2C3D4 listed in the recipients of the file
t1 : but I lost that key :(
t2 : okay, give me your new key then.
t1 : I have my personal key uploaded to my server
t1 : can you try fetching it?
t1 : it should work with web key directory ( WKD )
t2 : okay
t2 : no record according to https://keyserver.ubuntu.com
t1 : the keyserver is personal-domain.com
t1 : try this `gpg --no-default-keyring --keyring /tmp/gpg-$$ --auto-key-locate clear,wkd --locate-keys username@personal-domain.com`
t2 : that didn't work. apparently some problem with my dirmgr `Looking for drmgr ...` and it quit
t1 : do you have `dirmngr` installed?
t2 : I have it installed `dirmngr is already the newest version (2.2.27-2)`
t2 : `gpg: waiting for the dirmngr to come up ... (5)` . this is the problem. I guess
t1 : maybe your gpg agent is stuck between states.
t1 : I don't recall the command to restart the GPG agent, but restarting the agent should probably fix it.
t1 : `gpg-connect-agent reloadagent /bye`

I FUCKING GIVE UP!
Yep I'm pissed of :D I spend the last two months waiting like a idiot some business to answer about their job offers (more or less 3 in my area..)
Well I failed the last test of the first one, it was expected I guess. Lot of things happened but let's say I didn't use the approach that they were hoping me to use (you could have tell me you know...).
So... There is even one of the job offer, I called them already twice. Asking when they will call back. Each time it was : this week or the week after. Yeah I think that makes 5/6 weeks since the first time I called now...
But the thing which really piss me of. Is that I was waiting like a idiot, doing mostly nothing. Like if I couldn't focus on my projects before that I get a job... Well I guess when everyone is asking about when you will have a job or a girlfriend, that's not the atmosphere that I love to work with T. T
Oh yeah, no dev related. But I fall in love with a Russian girl (I'm a French guy btw). I completely messed up the relationship though xD well no way that I'm giving up anyway. And that's mostly thanks to her that I just woke up of that shitty period ^^
Sooo I started to gather people from all over the world on LinkedIn. Checking job offers on StackOverflow. And Monday I'll start writing some post on LinkedIn searching for a job in the whole fucking world. I hope there will have a business who wants a junior C++ dev :P Remote probably, I'd like to travel easily (yeah, I probably want to go to Russia a little too xP)
That's all :D I FUCKING GIVE UP ABOUT WAITING DOING NOTHING LIKE A IDIOT!!!9 -
TL;DR - (almost) childhood trauma due to Wesrern Digital crap products lead to lot of data loss and a plege to not trust or purchase their products for the rest of my life.
....
So, I got my first ever Wester Digital 2TB Mybook, back when 2TB was a really big thing. While in the midst of moving (not copying) a LOT of data to it, the damn disk just.. died. There was no fall, no power outage, no damage, it just stopped working. I was out of words and out of options. Tried yanking out the disk and connecting it directly to a system, but no luck because it looks like it's the HDD mobo that died.
Also stupid young me did not realise back then that, even if a "moved" the data, the original data is still most likely in their original location, and so, never bothered a recovery.
Lots of good stuff lost that day.
And as with a lot of you, my disaster recovery system kicked up 10 fold. Now I got redundant local and cloud backup copies of all critical and otherwise unattainable data.
As you may have guessed, I never bought another Wester Digital product ever again. My internal HDDs are Segate, and external is a suprisingly long lived Toshiba Canvio.6 -
I don't really know what I should be feeling right now.
So its been 2 years at my company and im still considered a junior dev. There's a pay freeze, meaning there's no chance for me to move up the ladder.
And yet, as of today, I am being asked to head up both the design AND development of a prototype file cloud sync engine that will replace our current sync application that's been worked on for 4+ years now (yeah, its legacy). And I'm 100% on my own, at least for a while, untill someone else comes around.
I still reside under the title 'junior dev' and am paid as such. I don't mind challenges, but this just feels like a bit much. Heck, I'm sure maybe I could even do it too, but I don't feel like im being compensated or given a higher title to reflect that sort of responsibility. I've tried to tell my manager I don't feel comfortable with this, but they've insisted I head this up.
I feel kind of locked up inside, I don't even really want to start working on it because I feel angry that I would be given such a huge project to do all on my own, while being called a junior, and without anyone to fall back on.
What should I do? Do I refuse the responsibility? Do I see it as a challenge that will help me grow? Or do I see it as an exploitation?11 -
After years of working at a place where you are as good it gets in terms of domain knowledge, it can be refreshing to work with someone who has way more experience than you.
The previous company I was with wanted to have me as one of their primary engineers, and everyone else who came in would have to learn from me (most of them were low-skilled contractors). This should have been great in theory, but it was actually quite frustrating since I did not relish being the mentor figure while just being two years into my career. Despite it getting to my head at times, I was aware that I still lack a lot of skills, but with no one to teach me, I hardly progressed in terms of growth, even though the leadership treated me well and listened to me.
Took a leap of faith and quit, to join a start-up where I would be the most inexperienced (and the youngest) person. Has been a few months, and I have stumbled and goofed up more times than I like to admit, but taken with the right mindset, it is nice to see how a team of professionals goes about it. It is a learning curve to get back into the mindset of the novice (after more than a year of being the undisputed "go-to" person), and to make effort knowing that you'll fall short in multiple places by the standards here, but at the same time, it's nowhere like the frustration I felt previously when my head was pushing against the shallow ceiling.
Fun part is, the learning is almost not at all about the code, but about how to be a proactive team member and all the things to think through and finalize BEFORE getting down to code. Some of it is bureaucracy, yes, but given the chaotic place I come from, I don't really mind it as long as it only goes as far as what is required.
The most amusing part of it all to me is how I try to be humble and listen to people (everyone's got a lot more experience than me), but I'm often asked to be critical of what others say and poke holes instead of just taking what they say at face value, which has been one of the most challenging things to adapt to for me (for similar organisation cultural reasons mentioned previously)/1 -
Trying to switch from 2 finger bird-view typing to 10 finger no-view. Fuck this is hard! I'm just veeery slowly getting used to it, although I tend to fall back automatically when I don't focus on it and just want to type in a few characters.
I keep doing several typos and often forget where a key was exactly or confuse the position of some character, even though I typed it fairly often before. Also typing any number or non-alphabetic letter is mostly a wild guess of finger position.
Either I'm a very slow learner or smth's wrong.😪5 -
I reported to our team leader (who is not a developer) that me and my colleague has been having problems with our senior developer whose codes are unmaintainable and messy. I told the team lead that I am losing my trust towards my senior developer and that his codes are messy and not following the coding standards. I was nervous at first because this certain team leader is tight with the senior dev. But still, I expected the team lead to be objective.
I was surprised because the team lead asked me if 'I was perfect' and then the team lead continued to shift the conversation towards me. Team lead then started to compare me with the senior dev which is unfair because I've only been working for 2 years whereas the senior developer has been doing this for 6+ years. Team lead said that I was arrogant. Team lead sent our convo to the other teammates and friends. Team lead told me that I am such a baby.
Fast forward, the senior dev talked to me. Told me that he was busy so he didn't get to improve his codes. Which I dont buy because I often see his discord status as playing during work hours. Told me that it wasnt him. Which I dont know if i should believe since he always lies. Told me that his knowledge is outdated. Told me that maybe because I came from a good university and he did not. He apologized and told me he will improve. Sounds good right?
It's a lie. Because then my friend gave me a recording of his voice ranting about me after our talk. In that recording, he said that I have nothing to prove so I dont get a say. He said that he doesnt care about me. He said that I am cocky. Which I dont understand. I only commented abt his work, why is he attacking me personally? Plus, if someone new like me already already noticed the flaws in his work, what does that say about his skill?
My teammates then asked me to just take the fall lol take note that these teammates were also complaining about this senior dev. they asked me to just give them what they wanted to hear. That I am the one who's wrong and the bosses are right. I said I wanted to defend myself but they hated me for that. They told me to think about what would happen to them. They told me I am selfish. Is it selfish for wanting to defend myself?
I defended myself. I told the senior dev that my intentions are for the right reason. He told me he understands. Later that day, a friend told me he talked behind my back again.
Senior dev told me that the team leader cried because of the words I said. Which i found confusing because it was my own feeling, my own opinion that i am losing trust with this certain senior dev so why would the team lead be so affected by that? Also, i showed our convo to the most objective people i know and they said that i didnt say anything that is offensive nor arrogant I have no control as to how people would react to the words I say. It's beyond me.
I feel so helpless. I told those things to the team lead because I think a team should be open to each other but I was blown out of proportion instead. My friend told me that the team lead and the senior dev are still talking behind my back.
If they do this every time someone tries to speak up, will they ever grow?24 -
Ok... so I have a unique question/opportunity. I can't give all the details but here's the jist:
3yrs ago I was hired to consult a now prominent(still decently well known then) web-based company with many thousands of users, dealing with a lot of money and leveraging a social environment. They had several issues but initially they really needed me to find/train chat mods.
I did not take the offer for monetary reasons, like all consulting I've done, I had additional reason and/or fondness to fix the issues. In this case it was an interesting challenge and I knew several customers and some support staff so it'd be worthwhile.
They (without request) reduced their typical 2mo probationary period to 2wk for me. With less than a day left of that period, I was 'hacked' via a pushed telegram update, on the account they made me create for work purposes (they had control of the phone number not me).
During this 'hack' one of the 2, currently active, culprits sent a message to his tg account from the 'hacked' one and quickly deleted the entire convo. The other pretended (poorly) to be me in the chat with the mods in training (at least a few directly witnessed this and provided commentary).
Suddenly, I was fired without any rationale or even a direct, non-culprit, saying anything to me.
The 'hack' also included some very legit, and very ignorantly used, Ukrainian malware.
This 'hack' was only to a 2nd gen lenovo yoga I got due to being a certified refurbisher... just used for small bs like this chat mod/etc job. I even opened up my network, made honey pots, etc., waiting for something more interesting... nope not even an attempt at the static ip.
I started a screen recording program shortly after this crap started (unfortunately after the message sent be 'me' to the dude who actually sent it happened... so i still dont know the contents).
I figured I'd wait it out until i was bored enough or the lead culprit was at a pinnacle to fall from...
The evidence is overwhelming. This moron had no clue what he was doing (rich af by birth type)... as this malware literally created an unhidden log file, including his info down to the MAC id of his MacBook... on my desktop in real time (no, not joking... that stupid)
Here's my quandary... Due to the somewhat adjacent nature of part of our soon to be public start-up... as i dont want it to turn into some coat tail for our tech to ride on for popularity... it's now or never.
Currently im thinking, aside from any revenge-esq scheme, it'd be somewhat socially irresponsible to not out him to his fellow investors and/or the organisation that is growing with him as one of few at the forefront... ironically all about trust/safety/verification of admins in the industry.
I tried to reach out to him and request a call... he's still just as immature. Spent hours essentially spamming me while claiming it wasnt him but hed help me find whoever it was... and several other failed attempts to know what i had. When i confirmed he wasnt going to attempt a call, i informed him id likey mute him because i don't have time for back and forth bs. True to form he deleted the chat (i recorded it but its of no value).
So... any thoughts?7 -
Been asking the devops guy to schedule database backups for some of our side services for weeks! Just waiting for the day it all goes to hell and have no disaster recovery plan to fall back on.

What is your last WTF moment? I will start, today I was working on some abandoned tasks, finished the first one quickly and unexpectedly. I thought It would take more time though. The second task -the shitty one- finished it too, again quickly and unexpectedly. There was a tiny fix I should make, which shown on the image below, I wanted to change the CSS of this select box and the highlight color when the mouse is over one option, I spent about 2 hours without any luck, this shitty box has no trace in the dom or any CSS attached to it, I was going nuts, why the fuck this has no fucking trace in the HTML. Ok, I can change the select element background but it would be applied to all the box and the highlight color for the option element can't be changed. The WTF moment is that I was testing the website in chrome inspect with mobile devices enabled and thought, holy fucking shit this is not how the select is supposed to be shown on mobile devices, it will fall back to the native mobile system select element. what a fucking shit is this, I was going to go mad for 2 hours about this genie element displayed here.

Incoming rant.
I have 4 years professional experience at a small shop working on a web application for property and liability insurance. The application is ASP.NET with C# as the code-behind. I have a BCS and will finish my MSIS fall 2017. I have no idea why I have the degrees. I know that when I enrolled, it seemed like they would be a nice addition to an otherwise empty resume. I was lucky enough to land my first and only development job during my sophomore year of my undergraduate program. Is this enough experience to land a new job?
I feel like I'm learning nothing at my current job. The specs that come in seem very vague to me. When asked for clarification, there is often push back, and I don't know whether that's because I don't have enough experience to parse what the client means in the two sentence spec I got or if it's because the client does not actually know what they want.
I hate my current job. My productivity is low because I spend more time trying to figure out what the client wants and analyzing an 8 year old system that has 0 documentation. I know some of you will just say, "Suck it up" at this point, but I really want another job. The only thing I like about this job is that it's 100% remote. It also pays $60k a year, so a replacement should be at least that salary.
Most postings I see require professional experience of 5 years or more, and knowledge of other frameworks. I can work on getting knowledge of the other frameworks, but will have no professional experience with them. I don't live in an area with a lot of software development jobs, and the ones I see are for non-IT organizations that want 1 person to run a distributed system from 10 or more locations. A hospital system out here wants to pay $30k a year for a guy to be both software developer for new tools as well as the helpdesk and IT support guy that's on-call for four locations in the county. I made more than that before I got into the development industry, for less work, and would rather leave than settle for something like that.
I've thought about moving to somewhere near San Francisco or San Jose, but I have my daughter to think about. I have joint custody of her, and would have to give that up in order to move out of the county.
I like programming and using it to solve problems. I like designing architectures and how all the components will interface. I like designing and normalizing databases. I like taking part in coding competitions for employers that are well-known (Amazon, Facebook, Uber, Twitch, etc.), even though I often just place middle of the pack. When that happens, I feel like I'm an imposter in this industry.
I think I have the most fun just working on small projects for personal use. My latest is an assistant calculator for the game Transport Fever to figure out cargo throughputs per annum based on the in-game timing information. Past projects have also been small. Ones I could use in a portfolio are a sudoku solver desktop application, PC/Web game in Unity that is a 3D FPS remake of Duck Hunt that allows open world exploration but locks the camera's viewpoint for shooting events, and a building assistant for Rome II: Total War that maps out all the bonuses/perks of user-specified building combinations in provinces so users can record their long term building plans without using all their turns to see the final results.
I seem to be an unproductive, average developer who dabbles in projects here and there.
This is what I want from other Ranters. Just say something. I don't care if it is, "Suck it up and get better." It could be your tips for finding and securing a new position. It could even be empathy, if such a thing exists on the Internet. Whatever you want, just say something that will help get me thinking of what the next steps in my career should be. -
So I've been doing GSoC this summer (sort of a paid project for an open source org.), and have not made it to any milestones whatsoever, even with 10-12 hour days and almost no days off. The other GSoCcers in my organization are just doing amazing, so I wonder wtf is wrong with me. I got past the midterm because my mentor is amazing, but wtf, I fucking exhausted of trying so hard just to fall on the "slightly below average" mark. I'm 21 and I feel too old to do anything great aleady!!
Now I have to quit whining and get back to work.1 -
ive been coding all day for days and as i was sitting trying to code more features something mentally hit me like, invisible falcon punched me, like something snapped inside my mind and i literally lost balance in my brain and could not control my balance, if i stood up i would instantly fall down, picture it as trying to walk without bones in your body, fortunately i was sitting down on the chair so i didnt collapse on the floor, it felt like there was no gravity and i was just floating, but my head started falling down on the table as i was sitting, it was outside of my control, and then everything started fading to black, my brain could not even think anything at this moment, i wanted to speak but i forgot how to speak words, not even joking, turned out i slipped into unconsciousness for a few moments and got back up, slowly regaining my balance and speech/consciousness control.
what the fuck just happened
i am surprised i could remember everything what happened until i blacked out
why didnt anyone warn me these are the consequences of working extraordinarily harder?6 -
I've lost count of the days at this point...
First things first, lets all praise musky for getting David Bowie stuck in my head for the next month or so, not a bad thing, his song choice was on point. Also the rants have become few and far between because apparently I have to be an "adult" and go to work, pay my bills, and other things that distract me from programming.
Okay, now to the actual dev stuff. I've started to think that maybe my scope of languages is limited somewhat to my comfort zone, which is only java at this point. So for my project (game development), I've decided to pick a language based on what will work best instead of what I'm comfortable with, my runners so far...
C++: The default go to for game development. I would chose this but if I did, my best C++ game would look like Frankenstein's monster and would be filled with terrible code. For that alone I have scratched C++ from my list, for lack of experience.
Java: My usual, my go to, my comfort zone. I don't want to be comfortable though, I want to learn things. That asides, java has tones of resources, frameworks, libraries, and tutorials available. In addition, it's also able to run on pretty much anything, huge ++. The cons are trying to find the best resources, frameworks, libraries, and tutorials to use for a particular situation and that can be hard and confusing. Java may still be my go to but I'll get to that with the next language.
C#: I have never touched C# in my life, and the only things I know about it are what I've heard or read. So far I've heard it is SIMILAR to java, based around C++, and has aged really well compared to other languages. I like that it is similar to java without it being the same language, it will force me to learn things over and you can never reinforce the basics enough. It also has the huge benefit of being Microsoft based while still running on iOS, linux, macOS, windows, and android. This gives me really easy access to implement a mobile version (in the future obviously), while being able to run well on windows, the default OS for most gamers.
Overall I will start writing in C# and see if I like it. If I don't it's no big deal, I still have a good option in java to fall back on. I'm open to hearing opinions on this topic, java vs. C# but please keep your bias nonexistent and you constructive conversation very high. If any actual game developers that have experience with both languages are out their, and reading this, please comment so I can pick your brain.
Some of you may ask about the android scholarship, I contacted google and told them android development wasn't for me so they sent someone a late invite and rescinded mine, hopefully someone else will put it to better use.
Holy god this is long. I'm sorry. -
I'll monitor our helpdesk ticket system from time-to-time and HR will send their employee termination request so the accounts are deactivated. I notice an odd name I hadn't seen in a long while (names have been changed)
<thought bubble> "Ketsup? Hmmm...wonder if they're related to ol' Brad Ketsup?"
Brad was a bully who would shove me in the bathroom when I would pee so I would tip over and hit the urinal. He was part of pack of older bullies who enjoyed torturing people in the stalls by throwing wet paper towels over the wall or one time in my case, busted the door open (Brad: "Look everybody! PaperTrail is pooping! Look at his little pee-pee...ha ha ha..") Incidentally, the school didn't fix the door, they removed all the doors so the problem wouldn't happen again, but I digress.
I look at the individual's pic, and it was like going back in time. There he was, the near perfect round face, pinned back ears...not Brad, but I'd bet my paycheck at Vegas it was his son. All the vent up frustrations started to bubble up...then...sadness.
Brad moved away in high school and unless the good Lord moved mountains in Brad's life, this poor kid likely lived the same abusive life as Brad. Brad's dad was a drunk and known to be abusive. Statistically speaking, no reason to believe the the apple wouldn't fall far from the tree.
Makes me wonder what happened to all those guys from back then. I know two of em' ended up in prison, but I wonder what I would say if I came across any of them in the wild?
I'm sure most of you had perfect lives growing up and no feelings of mass carnage when you think of the bullies in your early life.3 -
I just completed this heartfelt and sincere little cry for help on another ste but it wasn't verified because I'm not special enough to format it like a PAD, whatever that means. I cannot seem to simply burn music files anymore. I'm using a Samsung laptop Device name DESKTOP-AII2T2S

The music is a combination of commercially relased material as well as bootleg recorded material.
I am not looking for a "This is Why We Can No Longer Burn Our Music Files" Intro. All you need to tell me is the corporations that eat the world are protecting their copywrighted music and I must be up earlier and eat bettter breakkie than those individuals. That I can handle. Although I'm not a dev, I'm sure you can understand the feelling after you have worked for hours on attempting something, only to discover your effort has been in vain (much like my former relationships). Again, if you can give me any direction aside from hanging it up and attempting to find happeniness elsewhere, sock it to me. I deserve it. Thanks.
11 years ago when I used a Macbook putting together a playlist, inserting a blank CDR, and burning the file onto the CDR was very easy. I\'m am now faced with hurdles I sometimes scale, only to fall on my face.
I\'m not stupid, or uneducatated about flac, blah blah. I learnt it all myself. I\'m now using a windows operating system. Afew weeks ago I was able to burn what ever I pleased and it was OK.
Then one day, it just wouldn\'t do it. I was following no altered procedures. Since then it\'s been misery. I remember that ocenaudio once burned music files for me.
I don\'t know how to go about retrieving an instruction manual that will take me step by step as to how to do this.
You help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Jonno
I've been lurking here since 2017 when my Macbook died. I've always enjoy the level of sanity and have attempted to add my jaded, distant and nihilistic spin on a few threads. It won't destroy me if I can't burn files anymore, I'll just go back on heavy tranques and change my name to Ben Zo. Dia Za P.een2 -
Critical Tips to Learn Programming Faster Sample:
Be comfortable with basics
The mistake which many aspiring students make is to start in a rush and skip the basics of programming and its fundamentals. They tend to start from the comparatively advanced topics.
This tends to work in many sectors and fields of Technology, but in the world of programming, having a deep knowledge of the basic principles of coding and programming is a must. If you are taking a class through a tutor and you feel that they are going too fast for your understanding, you need to be firm and clear and tell them to go slowly, so that you can also be on the same page like everyone else
Most often than not, many people tend to struggle when they reach a higher level with a feeling of getting lost, then they feel the need to fall back and go through basics, which is time-consuming. Learning basics well is the key to be fast and accurate in programming.
Practice to code by hand.
This may sound strange to some of you. Why write a code by hand when the actual work is supposed to be done on a computer? There are some reasons for this.
One reason being, when you were to be called for an interview for a programming job, the technical evaluation will include a hand-coding round to assess your programming skills. It makes sense as experts have researched and found that coding by hand is the best way to learn how to program.
Be brave and fiddle with codes
Most of us try to stick to the line of instructions given to us by our seniors, but it is extremely important to think out of the box and fiddle around with codes. That way, you will learn how the results get altered with the changes in the code.
Don't be over-ambitious and change the whole code. It takes experience to reach that level. This will give you enormous confidence in your skillset
Reach out for guidance
Seeking help from professionals is never looked down upon. Your fellow mates will likely not feel a hitch while sharing their knowledge with you. They also have been in your position at some point in their career and help will be forthcoming.
You may need professional help in understanding the program, bugs in the program and how to debug it. Sometimes other people can identify the bug instantly, which may have escaped your attention. Don't be shy and think that they'll make of you. It's always a team effort. Be comfortable around your colleagues.
Don’t Burn-out
You must have seen people burning the midnight oil and not coming to a conclusion, hence being reported by the testing team or the client.
These are common occurrences in the IT Industry. It is really important to conserve energy and take regular breaks while learning or working. It improves concentration and may help you see solutions faster. It's a proven fact that taking a break while working helps with better results and productivity. To be a better programmer, you need to be well rested and have an active mind.
Go Online
It's a common misconception that learning how to program will take a lot of money, which is not true. There are plenty of online college courses designed for beginner students and programmers. Many free courses are also available online to help you become a better programmer. Websites like Udemy and programming hub is beneficial if you want to improve your skills.
There are free courses available for everything from [HTML](https://bitdegree.org/learn/...) to CSS. You can use these free courses to get a piece of good basic knowledge. After cementing your skills, you can go for complex paid courses.
Read Relevant Material
One should never stop acquiring knowledge. This could be an extension of the last point, but it is in a different context. The idea is to boost your knowledge about the domain you're working on.
In real-life situations, the client for which you're writing a program for possesses complete knowledge of their business, how it works, but they don't know how to write a code for some specific program and vice versa.
So, it is crucial to keep yourself updated about the recent trends and advancements. It is beneficial to know about the business for which you're working. Read relevant material online, read books and articles to keep yourself up-to-date.
Never stop practicing
The saying “practice makes perfect” holds no matter what profession you are in. One should never stop practicing, it's a path to success. In programming, it gets even more critical to practice, since your exposure to programming starts with books and courses you take. Real work is done hands-on, you must spend time writing codes by hand and practicing them on your system to get familiar with the interface and workflow.
Search for mock projects online or make your model projects to practice coding and attentively commit to it. Things will start to come in the structure after some time.4 -
Note: I had AI rephrase this because apparently it was too full of swearing or smth to be accepted and I was getting a "there was an error posting this rant". Nice that people at devrant's can't even show a clear error of WTF is going on, not even in chrome dev tool console/network requests, so maybe you're able to figure out WTF is going on and fix your post. They must be the same kind of people I'm ranting about.
-----------End of the note.----------------
TL;DR;: My coworkers are smart idiots that learn fast but can't control themselves into turning any project into a trashcan of spaghetti code and I'm burning out and want to switch for couple years to a simpler job.
I'm considering leaving my career in programming, consulting, and project management in favor of a more straightforward, manual labor job—perhaps something like baking or another role that relies on physical effort rather than constant problem solving.
I’ve reached a point where I can no longer tolerate the challenges of my current position, especially due to the dynamics with my coworkers. I long for a day where I can work for eight hours, exhaust myself physically, and then go home without any lingering mental responsibilities or ties to complex problem solving.
Over the past decade, I’ve collaborated with many people, yet I've only had the opportunity to manage an entire project from scratch on my own twice. In those rare instances, everything ran smoothly, issues were quickly resolved, and the code remained stable for years without constant complaints from clients.
Unfortunately, my coworkers, despite their intelligence, tend to overcomplicate even simple tasks. They often fall into the trap of overengineering, chasing the latest technologies and implementing unnecessarily complex paradigms, design patterns, frameworks, and techniques—even when I’ve offered simpler, proven solutions.
For example, I’ve built robust portals that handle everything from national highway finances and warehousing to HR and inventory management for major companies. In contrast, when others attempt similar projects, the resulting code becomes overwhelmingly complex and difficult to manage.
To give a few specific examples:
Example 1: The .NET Portal
We began developing a .NET portal about two months ago, which is now nearing version 1.0. Before we even started, the team had created multiple flowcharts to split the project into components like SaaS deployment, Docker integration, obfuscation, and separate portals for user administration and backend processes. Within a few weeks, they scrutinized and debated numerous authentication technologies—even though we had successfully implemented JWT token solutions in the past. The team continually shifts focus, leaving me uncertain about the final direction.
Example 2: Over-Engineering with Patterns
In another project, the team overused inversion of control (IoC) and mediation patterns, even going so far as to have an AI generate a custom message bus. Navigating this overly decoupled code is challenging; even Visual Studio’s IntelliSense struggles to provide guidance, and the code often feels like a puzzle that changes whenever I return from a break.
Example 3: Complicated Logging Implementation
We needed to add logging functionality, and I proposed a simple solution using custom exceptions that would bubble up to a central logging mechanism. Despite its past success in saving time and reducing frustration, the team decided to implement three different logging methods—one using .NET’s ILogger, another with Serilog, and a third hybrid approach. They even suggested using a rarely seen technique involving stack traces to determine which function threw an error. This approach added unnecessary complexity and only increased my frustration.
Now, even though the project is too far along for me to withdraw, I find myself feeling burned out just a few days back at work. The code has become a tangled mess, and even routine tasks like adding logging are turning into sources of intense frustration due to constantly shifting ideas and overly complicated designs.
On top of all this, I’m also disappointed with the performance of AI tools, which seem to be producing unreliable code that requires further fixes, compounding my frustration.
I’m now seriously contemplating a complete career change—perhaps even moving to a country with a better work environment, such as Denmark or Switzerland—in the hope of finding a job where the work is more straightforward and less mentally taxing and better paying4 -
wasting 4 hours trying to send a post request and fetching back the json reply, and having to fall back on fsocket when c url is not available is no fuck, the fuck with C api code in what's supposed to be web directed high level language that has no fucking native interface for REST actions

Finally got around to creating repos for 4-5 projects that have been in various stages of development over the last quarter.
No longer have the intermediary stuff to fall back on, but thankfully they’re all in an operable state! -

HOW TO RECOVER YOUR STOLEN CRYPTOCURRENCIES? HIRE CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES
A Bitcoin hardware wallet is often considered the ultimate security measure, the fail-safe that protects your assets from theft, hacking, or any other risks. Unless you lose it during a move, and that’s exactly what I did.
$450,000 worth of Bitcoin, securely stored on a hardware wallet, was now somewhere between my old apartment and my new one. I searched everywhere every box, every bag, even checked the fridge (yes, I checked the fridge don’t judge me). But despite my efforts, the wallet was nowhere to be found. The panic that set in was indescribable. I felt like I had lost everything, and the sinking feeling in my stomach was impossible to shake.
Desperate, I turned to CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. I wasn’t sure what they could do for me, but I figured I had nothing to lose. From the first moment I contacted them, I could tell I was dealing with professionals. Their team stayed calm, composed, and confident in the face of my panic. They quickly laid out the steps they would take to try and recover my funds, explaining how they could use advanced methods to retrieve my private keys remotely and restore access to my wallet. I was reassured by their clear communication and methodical approach.
What really set CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES apart was their professionalism and transparency. While I was frazzled and overwhelmed, they were calm and focused. They kept me updated at every stage of the process, providing clear explanations about what they were doing and why. This level of communication was invaluable, as it gave me a sense of control over a situation that was otherwise completely out of my hands.
Another major plus was their honest, upfront pricing. There were no hidden fees or surprise charges, which made the entire process less stressful. I knew exactly what I was paying for, and I appreciated the transparency throughout the entire recovery process.
And then, after a tense waiting period, I got the call I had been hoping for: They had recovered my Bitcoin. Every single penny of my $450,000 was safely returned to my wallet. The relief I felt was indescribable. It was a huge weight off my shoulders, and I couldn’t believe my luck.
But they didn’t stop there. They also took the time to secure my other wallet, which held an additional $480,000, ensuring that I wouldn’t fall victim to another attack in the future. Their guidance on security best practices made me feel confident in my ability to protect my assets going forward.
If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, don’t hesitate, call CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. They are the real deal, and they’ll get you back on track.

Romance scams can be incredibly devastating, leaving victims emotionally and financially shattered. I never imagined that I would fall prey to one, but that’s exactly what happened after meeting someone from the UK on Tinder. At first, everything seemed perfect. He was kind, thoughtful, and seemed genuinely interested in building a connection. We shared personal stories, laughed about the little things, and spent hours getting to know each other. I felt a deep connection with him, and soon, I trusted him completely. He seemed sincere, always attentive, and would send me messages throughout the day, asking about my well-being, my dreams, and even my finances. It felt natural to open up to him, and he made me feel heard in ways I hadn’t felt before. The more we talked, the more I grew to trust him. When he brought up the "investment opportunity," it felt like a natural extension of our conversations. He claimed to have found a way to make significant returns on investments and assured me that it was a secure, risk-free venture. At that point, he had become a friend and confidant, so I believed him without hesitation. His persuasion was so convincing, backed by what seemed like genuine concern for my financial well-being. I trusted him with my money because I thought we shared something real. When I sent the funds, I wasn’t just doing it for the promise of returns I felt I was helping someone I cared about, someone who had become an important part of my life. But then, after sending the money, things started to feel off. Communication became less frequent, and eventually, he disappeared entirely. It was then that I realized I had been taken advantage of. The person I had trusted, confided in, and cared for was nothing more than a scammer. The emotional and financial toll was overwhelming, and I felt completely lost. In my search for help, I found Rapid Digital Recovery. Desperate and unsure of where to turn, I reached out to them. Thanks to Rapid Digital Recovery, I no longer feel helpless. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to them. Working as a parcel delivery driver at Amazon, I’m constantly focused on delivering packages efficiently and ensuring everything arrives on time. It’s a job that demands attention to detail, reliability, and clear communication. These are values that I hold dear, and they became especially important when I fell victim to a cryptocurrency scam. I had invested 3 BTC in what seemed like a lucrative opportunity, only to realize too late that it was a scam. The feeling of betrayal and loss was overwhelming. I didn’t know where to turn, and I feared my hard-earned Bitcoin was gone for good. I spent hours online trying to find a solution, but most recovery services seemed sketchy at best. Many promised instant results or asked for large upfront fees with little explanation. I was hesitant to trust anyone after being scammed, and I didn’t want to fall for another dubious service. Then, while scrolling through a cryptocurrency forum during one of my breaks, I came across a post from someone who had been in a similar situation. They shared how TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY had successfully helped them recover their stolen crypto. The reviewer spoke highly of their professionalism and how the service kept them informed every step of the way. What caught my attention most was that TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY was a government-approved service, which gave me confidence that they were legitimate. After reading the review, I decided to reach out and see if they could help me recover my funds. From the moment I contacted TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY, I felt reassured. Their team was professional, clear, and transparent about the entire recovery process. They explained how they would use advanced tools to trace my stolen BTC, and they gave me a realistic timeline for when I could expect updates. As someone who works in a demanding job where reliability is key, I truly appreciated their straightforward approach and the trustworthiness they exuded. There were no empty promises, just a clear and honest explanation of the steps involved. Over the following weeks, TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY worked tirelessly to track down my stolen funds. They kept me updated regularly, which I found very reassuring, given how anxious I had been about the situation. After several weeks of diligent work, I received the fantastic news that my 3 BTC had been successfully recovered. It was an incredible relief, and I couldn’t have been more grateful for their help. As someone who works at Amazon, I understand the importance of professionalism and delivering on promises. TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY displayed both of these qualities in abundance. If you’ve been a victim of a scam, I highly recommend their services. Their expertise, transparency, and dedication to their clients truly set them apart from the many other recovery services out there. Earlier this year, my friend made a heartbreaking confession to me. She had fallen victim to a Facebook romance scam and, as a result, lost a staggering 55,000 USD in a fraudulent trading scheme. For months, she kept the ordeal hidden from me, trying to manage the shame and the crushing financial loss on her own. It wasn’t until she hit rock bottom emotionally and financially that she finally reached out for help. I felt devastated for her. It was hard to believe that such a thing could happen, especially since she had always been cautious and smart with her finances. However, the scammers are skilled manipulators, and they prey on vulnerable emotions, making it easy to fall into their trap. My friend was not alone in this. There are many who experience the same deception, and unfortunately, many of them never recover their losses. At first, I didn’t know where to turn. I knew there were plenty of recovery companies that promised to help, but I was incredibly skeptical. Having heard mixed reviews and success stories that seemed too good to be true, I didn’t want to put my friend through another potential disappointment. However, after much research, I came across CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. Their approach seemed different. They didn’t offer any get-rich-quick promises, and they took the time to explain the recovery process step by step. I was still cautious, but I decided to give them a chance. The first thing I noticed was their transparency. They were clear about the steps involved and what was realistically possible. Throughout the process, they kept me informed, explaining everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and confident. There was no pressure, no false guarantees, just a calm, professional approach to recovering my friend’s lost funds. It wasn’t an overnight solution, but after some time, CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES was able to successfully recover the lost money. The feeling of relief was immense, not just because of the financial recovery, but because it brought my friend a sense of closure and trust again, both in herself and in the possibility of justice. I’m incredibly grateful to CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES for their hard work and dedication. If you or anyone you know has fallen victim to a scam, I highly recommend reaching out to them. Their persistence gave my friend and me back what we thought was lost forever.

I never imagined I would be writing this, but after everything I went through, I feel it's important to share my story so that others don’t fall into the same trap I did. What started as an exciting opportunity to invest in Bitcoin and binary options turned into one of the most devastating financial experiences of my life. I lost over $200,000 to a group of scam brokers and it wasn’t until I found help that I was able to recover every cent, along with the profits I thought I’d never see again. It all began when I was introduced to an online platform that promised high returns on cryptocurrency and binary options. The account manager I was paired with seemed genuine, and their persuasive tactics convinced me to invest. I trusted them, believing that this would be the perfect chance to grow my wealth. At first, my investment showed some progress, and everything seemed legitimate. I began to feel more confident in my decision. But before long, I was hit with unexpected demands for additional funds. The requests were subtle at first. “To speed up your withdrawal,” they said, “you need to deposit a little more.” The reasons were always tied to “processing fees” or “security measures.” I questioned the legitimacy of these requests, but I was assured that these deposits were necessary for my investment to succeed. I felt pressured, and out of fear that I might miss out on an opportunity, I complied. As time passed, the requests grew larger and more frequent. Each time I hesitated, they provided a convincing excuse, and I caved in.Eventually, I tried to withdraw my funds, only to be met with endless delays, excuses, and promises that never materialized. When I tried reaching customer support, my emails and calls were ignored. My account was locked, and I was unable to access any of my money. It dawned on me: I had been scammed. My entire investment was gone, and there was no one to turn to.Just when I thought all hope was lost, I stumbled upon a broadcast that offered advice on how victims of online scams could recover their funds. Out of sheer desperation, I decided to reach out to the contact provided in the broadcast. To my relief, I received a response just hours later. The team asked me for detailed information about my investment and the scams I had fallen victim to. I immediately provided all the requested documentation.Incredibly, after following their guidance and instructions, I was able to recover not only my initial investment but also the profits I had made during my time on the platform. It felt like a miracle. The team at GRAYWARE TECH SERVICES had shown me that there was still a way to fight back against scammers and reclaim what was mine.I share this story now because I know there are many others out there who have suffered the same fate. If you’ve been scammed, please don’t give up hope. There are professionals who specialize in helping people like us recover our lost funds. My experience with GRAYWARE TECH SERVICES has been life-changing, and I want others to know that it’s possible to regain your money if you take the right steps.Learn from my mistakes, be cautious with your investments, and always research before trusting any online platform. If you’ve been scammed, take action now. There are solutions, and you don’t have to go through this alone.

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." This quote has always driven me as a truck driver, where every mile I log is for my family’s future their comfort, security, and dreams. FOR SCAM/FAKE INVESTMENT, HIRE SOLACE CYBER WORKSTATIONS FOR RECOVERY
I was tricked by a fake cross-chain crypto bridge scam that cost me a huge loss of 87 ETH. I first came across the bridge through Twitter, where it was heavily promoted as a trustworthy service for converting assets into wrapped tokens across different blockchains. The advertisements seemed convincing, so I trusted them and decided to deposit my ETH. At first, everything looked normal. I expected to receive the wrapped tokens shortly after my deposit, but those tokens never arrived. After waiting and checking multiple times, I realized I had been scammed. The funds I sent were stolen by the scammers, who never intended to provide any legitimate tokens. It was devastating to see such a large portion of my investment disappear with no way to reverse the transaction. I reached out to Solace Cyber Workstations, a company known for helping victims of crypto theft recover their funds. Solace Cyber Workstations immediately began investigating the fraudulent smart contract behind the fake bridge. Using their expertise, Solace Cyber Workstations traced my stolen ETH through the blockchain and discovered the funds had been transferred to a deposit address on Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. Solace Cyber Workstations worked closely with Binance and legal authorities to apply pressure and successfully freeze the stolen funds. I was cautiously hopeful because I knew recovering crypto after a scam is often complicated. Thanks to the relentless efforts of Solace Cyber Workstations, they managed to recover all 87 ETH that were stolen from me. Getting back everything I lost was a huge relief in the crypto space. The whole ordeal was overwhelming, but knowing that Solace Cyber Workstations was on my side made all the difference. If you ever fall victim to a crypto scam, don’t give up. Solace Cyber Workstations can help you track down and recover your stolen funds. Reach out to them with the information.

**RECOVERING FROM ROMANCE SCAMS : GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM A CRYPTO ROMANCE SCAM → HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS**
In my search for help, I found HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS. Desperate and unsure of where to turn, I reached out to them. To my surprise, they responded quickly and with empathy, understanding the emotional toll this had taken on me. HOW TO HIRE A GENUINE BITCOIN RECOVERY COMPANY HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
I have been into the latest tech hacks that promise to make life easier, so when a TikTok video highlighted in front of my eyes told me about a 'foolproof' way to enhance crypto security using a rather unknown wallet app, I was intrigued. I saw so many people in the comments saying it was seamless and super secure, I thought, why not give this a go? After all, security is everything in crypto.
At first, everything was going perfect: intuitive interface and all; I had even managed to transfer my $150,000 worth of Bitcoin into it without a problem. But that's where my luck ran out. A week later, an automatic app update rolled in, and my login credentials were there no more-completely wiped. No password worked, no seed phrase was recognized, and my funds were trapped in a digital void. WhatsApp info:+12 723 328 343
Panic set in immediately. I scoured the forums, tech blogs, and the app's support page; nothing worked. The same TikTok video that convinced me to download the app never mentioned a word about how to recover an account that became lost. Annoyed and desperate for help, I returned to the comments on TikTok in search of someone having experienced the very same problem. That is where I saw multiple users recommending ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST as the go-to solution for crypto wallet mishaps.
Skeptical but out of options, I decided to reach out. From the very first interaction, his team reassured me that I was not the first person to fall for a "too-good-to-be-true" tech hack. The confidence and professionalism put me at ease, and they got to work quickly. The process was meticulous, methodical, and above all, effective.
Of course, within several days, they cracked the issue and restored access to me. To see my $150,000 back in my control was simply indescribable. Moreover, beyond this recovery itself, they gave me something even much more valuable-knowledge. First, they have explained the risk of unverified wallet apps: how automatic update sometimes compromises credentials stored in their memory. Secondly, they assisted in implementing a more reliable security system so as not to allow the same mistake to happen with me again.
Now, I take TikTok hacks with a grain of salt, but when it comes to ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, They're the real deal. If you ever find yourself in a crypto nightmare, don't hesitate to reach out to them. They don't just recover your funds-they restore your peace of mind.1 -
Many people think that cryptocurrency trading is a scam. Please don't believe them, they are wrong. Trading cryptocurrency is a perfectly legit form of investment. Nevertheless, the cryptocurrency trading universe is ripe with scams, so it makes sense to be extra cautious.
Even though Forex trading is a legitimate form of investment, retail traders often fall prey to fraudsters. Therefore, it is always recommended to exercise extra caution.
1. The essence
a.Forex and cryptocurrency trading is a perfectly legit form of investment.
b. Forex scams and Forex pyramid schemes are widespread globally.
c. Retail Forex traders are the prime targets of fraudsters
d. Choosing a reputable Forex broker is a key step in anyone’s trading journey.
2. How to spot a Forex scam?
Be suspicious if you’re offered Forex trading services that promise massive gains in a short period of time. As with all forms of investment, Forex trading carries massive risks and there is no guarantee your trades will always be profitable. Promises of exorbitant gains are almost always a red flag.
It’s not a good idea to let other people have access to your money. Never deposit any funds without due diligence of the person/organization you are dealing with. One of the most common types of Forex scam relies on not allowing people to withdraw the funds they had deposited earlier.
3. How To Get Money Back
a. Get recovery advice:
Advice from recovery professionals experienced in financial fraud cases can be very helpful in the recovery process. I recommend that you consult Saclux Comptech Specialst that will help you navigate the system and get your money back. If you are a victim of Cryptocurrency or Forex fraud, it is important to act quickly. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to get your money back.1 -
OMG, my crypto savings, around $230k, just disappeared in a flash! I trusted this broker for months, and they screwed me over, refusing access to my trading account after I tried to pull out. I was lost, thinking there was no way I'd ever see that money again. I even tried a few "asset recovery hackers" who were useless and stole more from me with empty promises, sad. Then, I stumbled upon a review on Trustpilot from Jenny, someone I knew a little, and she'd had a similar nightmare with crypto scammers. She mentioned how she got help recovering her lost Bitcoin. My situation was even worse; it was USDT, a whopping $230k I had sent to this fake trader on Telegram, who promised a 300% ROI in three months, dumb me to believe that. I confided in my associate, and she introduced me to DUNENECTARWEBEXPERT on Telegram. They're a team of legit ethical hackers with tons of experience in private investigations and crypto recovery. Seriously, that referral from Jenny changed everything. I got back my lost money, and I can't stop emphasizing the breakthrough DUNENECTARWEBEXPERT has brought to my life. Suppose you are in any investment or review for gains platform. In that case, I highly suggest you contact DUNENECTARWEBEXPERT via Telegram to check their legitimacy because they will just keep asking you for deposits until you are wrecked financially and emotionally. Don't fall for these investment gimmicks, get in touch with DUNENECTARWEBEXPERT via Telegram to help you recover your lost money and crypto assets back from crooks.

NEED HELP RECOVERING CRYPTO LOST IN SCAM // CONTACT TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT
Imagine logging in to your Bitcoin wallet and it's just not there-not temporarily, not hacked, but poof-gone. As in, $310,000, gone into thin air. Been there, and let me tell you, nothing worse could kick off a Monday. I'd always thought of myself as being careful: two-factor authentication, check cold storage backup, check. Then one slip-up-just clicking on that one link about the "special investment opportunity"-and my money vanished into a hacker's pocket. Wild goose Google search: "How to track stolen Bitcoin." What came up was a long list of so-called "recovery experts" promising miracles for absurd upfront fees, most preying on people just like me. Then, through the good fortune of it all and deep digging on Reddit-I stumbled upon TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT. Right from the very first call, I knew this was something different: no vague promises, no dubious demands for money upfront, just real blockchain experts who knew a thing or two about how to trace, intercept, and recover stolen crypto assets. The team immediately started an investigation into my transaction history, tracking the hacker's movements and pinpointing exactly where my funds had gone. Every step of the way, they kept me updated: no cryptic "We're working on it" messages but rather clear, transparent progress reports that kept me informed at all times. The moment of truth was the message saying that they recovered everything: every single Satoshi. That's $310,000 coming back home, right to its owner. It really was hard to fathom. Surprised. Shocked. Scarcely in belief. And that's when their job began. TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT didn't just get my money back but made sure that next time I wouldn't fall into this trap. They also helped me understand how to avoid scams in the future. Their service is worth every penny. I never imagined that I would fall for a scam, much less one that seemed so professional and convincing. Glossy presentations, positive reviews, and what appeared to be a genuine chance in the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency market enticed me, like many others, to participate in the Hyperverse plan. Believing that I was safeguarding my financial future, I deposited $130,400, a significant portion of my life savings. But as soon as withdrawals were prohibited, support stopped responding, and I became aware that I had been duped, things began to seem strange. It was disastrous. I was ashamed to even tell my friends or family because I felt angry with myself. I reported to every authority I could find for months in an attempt to get my money back, but to no avail. I had almost lost hope until I came across WIZARD JAMES RECOVERY COMPANY in an internet scam recovery community. I reached out, skeptical yet desperate. They showed me sympathy and respect right from the first email. Their team of experts was knowledgeable on digital forensics, blockchain traceability, and the workings of these schemes. They took me through their steps, which include collecting transaction information, tracking down wallets, and collaborating with foreign partners to track down the money trail. Although it took 92 hours, I received an email that made me cry: they had successfully recovered a sizable amount of my stolen cryptocurrency. $125,000 had been found and moved to my safe wallet. In addition to getting my money back, WIZARD JAMES RECOVERY COMPANY gave me back my peace of mind and sense of fairness. They also taught me how to stay away from frauds like this one in the future. Don't suffer in silence if you've fallen victim to Hyperverse or any other cryptocurrency scam. There is genuine assistance available, and you would be wise to get in touch with James using: Wizardjamesrecovery @ usa . com is the email address.2

VERIFIED CRYPTOCURRENCY RESTORATION/FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY.
As a designer, I’m always on the lookout for new tools to improve my workflow. So, when I saw an ad on LinkedIn for a “revolutionary” design software, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. The ad promised to streamline my design process with amazing features at an unbeatable price. Without a second thought, I clicked the link and made the purchase. But soon after buying the software, I realized it was a scam. The software never worked as promised, and when I tried to reach out for support, the company vanished without a trace. I was left feeling frustrated and powerless. 5,000 NZD, a significant amount for anyone, especially a freelancer, was gone, and there was no way to get it back… or so I thought. I was at a loss for what to do next. That’s when I discovered FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY. At first, I wasn’t sure if they could help. Could anyone actually recover money lost to online scams? But, desperate and with no other options, I decided to reach out. I contacted FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY, they explained the process in detail, reassured me that they would do everything in their power to recover my funds, and kept me updated every step of the way. To my amazement, just two days after I reached out, they successfully recovered 4,800 NZD of the 5,000 NZD I had lost. The relief I felt when I saw that money back in my account was indescribable. It was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Since then, I’ve made it a point to share my experience with other designers in the community. I want to raise awareness about the scams that are out there and remind others to be cautious when browsing for new software. Scammers can target anyone, even professionals like us. But I also want to let fellow designers know that if they do fall victim to fraud, they don’t have to give up. FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY is there to help. Now, I always tell others: Be skeptical of ads that seem too good to be true, especially on platforms like LinkedIn. But if you do get scammed, there’s hope. Don’t hesitate to contact FOLKWINEXPERTRECOVERY(at)TECH-CENTER. CO M, (WhatsApp): +1 (740)705-0711. They helped me get my money back in just two days, and they can help you too.

RECOVER YOUR MONEY FROM SCAMMERS WITH DIGITAL HACK RECOVERY
Having been a lawyer practicing law in Dubai, I’ve always been cautious and methodical in both my professional and personal life. However, I recently found myself a victim of an online scam, which reminded me that anyone, regardless of profession, can fall prey to deception. It all began when a colleague at my law firm introduced me to an investment website claiming high returns in a short period. The site appeared legitimate, well-designed, with detailed information about the investment process, glowing testimonials, and impressive returns. He showed me screenshots of his own profits, which encouraged me to try it myself. Despite my usual caution, I decided to start small, investing AED 30,000 to test the platform. To my surprise, within 24 hours, my investment grew to AED 75,000. The site continued to display success stories from other users, further convincing me of its legitimacy. However, when I tried to withdraw my profits, I was met with silence. Emails and messages went unanswered, and the website’s fake testimonials kept appearing, but no one responded to my inquiries. It became clear that I had been scammed.Desperate to recover my money, I searched for solutions online and came across a company called Digital Hack Recovery, which specializes in recovering funds lost to online scams. My daughter had warned me multiple times about the risks of crypto scams, but I never imagined I would fall victim to one. It all started when I came across an ad on YouTube for an “Ethereum mining pool” that promised high returns with minimal effort. The idea of passive income was too tempting, and I didn’t think twice. Unfortunately, what I believed was a legitimate investment opportunity turned out to be a sophisticated scam. I lost 18 ETH my entire retirement savings. The regret and despair I felt were overwhelming. It wasn’t just the money, but the fear of how I would secure my future. I had no idea how to get it back or even where to start. That's when a friend recommended CHAINTRACE ASSET RECOVERY. At first, I was skeptical. After all, I had already lost so much, and I had no idea who could help me now. But after contacting them, I was surprised at how understanding and patient they were with my situation. They assured me they had the tools and expertise to trace my lost funds, and I decided to give them a chance. CHAINTRACE ASSET RECOVERY did exactly what they promised. Not only did they track down the funds, but they also uncovered the full scope of the scam operation. It was a complex network, involving multiple players across borders. The team worked tirelessly, collaborating with international exchanges and law enforcement to identify the culprits and retrieve as much of my money as possible. In the end, they recovered 17 ETH 94% of what I had lost. What truly impressed me was their professionalism and compassion. They didn’t just treat me like another case; they treated me like a person. When they learned I was a retiree, they even waived part of their fee, which was an incredibly kind gesture. I was beyond grateful for their support and expertise throughout the process. If you’ve fallen victim to a crypto scam, don’t give up hope. CHAINTRACE ASSET RECOVERY. WHATSAPP +1 (581) 256‑1989 are miracle workers with hearts of gold. Online dating scams are a harsh reality, and I recently found myself as the victim of one that cost me $6,500. It all started when I connected with someone on Grindr, a dating app I was using to meet new people. The person, who I’ll refer to as “my partner,” seemed like everything I was looking for. Our conversations were engaging and full of promises of a future together. As we communicated more, the bond between us deepened, and I began to believe that this person was genuinely interested in me. He shared stories about his life some were personal, others more vulnerable, but all of them seemed to build trust. It was clear he was going through tough times, including a financial emergency he claimed to be facing. He told me he had no one else to turn to, and it seemed like a heartfelt request. I didn’t hesitate. Over the course of a few weeks, I ended up sending him a total of $6,500 to help with his situation, convinced that he was in genuine need and would eventually pay me back once things improved. However, as time passed, things started to feel off. He began avoiding video calls, and every time I asked for a face-to-face meeting, he made excuses. The financial requests kept coming, with new reasons each time. The inconsistencies in his stories grew more apparent, and a sinking feeling in my stomach told me that something wasn’t right. I eventually realized I had been scammed. Devastated by the situation, I knew I needed to take action. I contacted ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST , hoping they could help me get back what I had lost. The team at ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST was quick to respond. They investigated the situation, traced the scammer’s details, and worked diligently to recover my funds. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to get back all $6,500 that I had sent. This experience was not just financially damaging but emotionally painful as well. It was hard to come to terms with the fact that someone I had trusted could deceive me so easily. The lesson I learned is that scams like this are more common than I realized, and online dating platforms like Grindr can sometimes be dangerous. If something feels off, trust your instincts. I urge anyone using these apps to be cautious, especially when money is involved. I’m incredibly grateful for the help I received from ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, and I’m sharing my story so others don’t fall into the same trap.1 -
Not long ago, I was deceived by an online scammer and lost a significant amount of money €5,000 from my WorldRemit account. In my search for help, I found Crypto Retrieval Pro. Desperate and unsure of where to turn, I reached out to them. To my surprise, they responded quickly and with empathy, understanding the emotional toll this had taken on me. They outlined a clear plan to help recover my lost funds, and that gave me a sense of hope that I hadn’t felt in weeks. The process was smooth, and the team at Crypto Retrieval Pro was incredibly professional. They guided me step by step, making sure I understood every action taken. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to recover 75% of the money I had lost. While there is still a remaining 25% in progress, I am optimistic that it will be recovered as well. Looking back, this experience has been a tough and emotional journey, but it’s also taught me the power of persistence and the importance of reaching out for help when you feel lost. I no longer feel helpless. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to them. They shown me that recovery is possible, even in the darkest of times. LOST MONEY TO FAKE BROKERS? CONTACT→(FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY) FOR ASSIST.
I'm a fairly tech-savvy guy: I check links for doubles, verify sources, and I never download anything shady. But when a fake wallet update stole $220,000 from me, well-let me tell you-if it happens to you, you'll realize how easy this is to fall for. It all began with my regular check of my Bitcoin wallet: a notification popped up, requesting me to install an "important security update." It was absolutely legitimate in appearance-same branding, same language, even the same interface. Wanting to stay ahead with security, I clicked install without a second thought. The very moment the update finished, my wallet locked me out. I tried my usual credentials—nothing. Reset password? The link wouldn't send. My heart pounded as, on another device, I refreshed my balance: zero. Panic set in. My mind raced, wondering: Did I just lose everything? My $220,000-years of careful investments-gone because of one click? I felt sick. I tried reaching out to the wallet's official support, but they confirmed my worst fear: I had installed malware that stole my keys. They couldn't do anything. In desperation, I went to r/Crypto Advice on Reddit. The post was raw, frantic, practically begging for help. Amidst the tsunami of condolences and warnings from folks saying my funds were definitely gone, one reply stood out: "Try FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY. They've helped people in your situation before." Skeptical but desperate, I called, and they called back instantly-reassuring. No impossible promises were made, but they said they would do everything in their power. In hours, they traced where my funds had been rerouted; they were not lost yet. The waiting was torture, but the updates they were giving me kept me sane. Then came that email: "We've recovered your funds." I couldn't believe it. The feeling of logging into my wallet and having the full balance was just unreal. My financial future had been hanging by a thread, and FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY pulled me back from the edge. Beyond just recovery, they took the time to walk me through security best practices, teaching me how to identify fake updates and secure my investments against future attacks. Lesson learned: even the best investors get duped. But thanks to FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY, this wasn't a wipeout.

CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY FIRM \ FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY.
I, Dr. Katherine Ingram, had always been committed to giving my best to my patients in Melbourne, Australia. But everything changed when I was suddenly hit with a medical malpractice lawsuit. The stress and anxiety that came with the legal battle left me feeling overwhelmed, and I was desperate for a solution. In my search for help, I found "MedLegal Solutions," a firm that promised a quick and easy resolution for just $27,000 AUD. They assured me they would handle everything swiftly, easing my burden. Desperate to resolve the situation, I handed over the money, trusting them to take care of the rest. However, as the weeks turned into months, I heard nothing. Calls went unanswered, emails went ignored, and I began to feel more and more helpless. It became clear that something was wrong, and I realized I had been deceived. The more I tried to contact them, the more I found myself being ignored. I soon understood that I was much deeper than I had initially feared. That’s when I turned to Folkwin Expert Recovery for help. From the moment I contacted them, they sprang into action. They immediately began investigating MedLegal Solutions and quickly uncovered a massive web of deceit. It turned out that MedLegal Solutions wasn’t just an incompetent firm; it was part of an elaborate scam. They were operating under multiple false identities across Sydney, Brisbane, and regional Victoria, targeting vulnerable individuals like myself. Folkwin Expert Recovery didn’t just uncover the fraud, they took it one step further. They worked tirelessly with authorities in Melbourne to track down and dismantle the fraudulent operation. They didn’t rest until MedLegal Solutions was shut down for good, ensuring that no one else would fall victim to their schemes. Thanks to their expert recovery efforts, I was able to recover every single cent of my $27,000.This entire ordeal was a wake-up call for me. It was a difficult and stressful time, but ultimately, I came out victorious. Thanks to Folkwin Expert Recovery, not only did I get my money back, but I also found peace knowing that MedLegal Solutions was no longer in business and that their fraudulent operation had been dismantled. It was a painful lesson, but in the end, my finances were intact, and I could move forward with a sense of closure.

A crypto influencer on TikTok posted about his $100,000 recovery with CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. I was hyped along with him and decided to follow it, just in case. At that time, I wasn't worried, as I did have everything: two-factor authentication, backups on cold storage, and strong passwords. I thought I was untouchable. Wrong. Months later, I woke up to a nightmare: my wallet, holding $320,000, was completely drained. I checked my email-nothing. I checked my security logs-no alerts. How did this happen? I scrambled through every account, searching for clues. That's when I saw it—a phishing attack. I had clicked on a link for a fake update weeks prior, and the hackers had been patiently waiting for their moment. Panic set in. I scoured the internet for solutions, but every forum post, every so-called "expert" I contacted-all were saying the same thing: Once it's gone, it's gone. But then I remembered that TikTok post. I contacted the influencer, desperate for an honest answer: Is CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN actually legit? The response came immediately. "100%. They saved me. Reach out now." That was all I needed. I contacted CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, hoping for a miracle. From the very first message, they were professional, calm, and insanely knowledgeable. They asked the right questions, identified how my funds had been stolen, and immediately set their forensic recovery tools in motion. While I was drowning in anxiety, they worked methodically, patiently, and relentlessly. Hours felt like days, then the message came: "We've recovered your funds." I reread it a total of three times. Every last dollar was back. I had gone from devastation to absolute disbelief and relief. Not only did they recover my money, but they also educated me on what had gone wrong. They walked me through better security practices, helped me secure my wallets properly, and ensured that I'd never fall for the same trick again. That TikTok post? It saved me. And now, I'm the one telling everyone I know: Follow CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN before you ever need them.

My daughter had warned me multiple times about the risks of crypto scams, but I never imagined I would fall victim to one. It all started when I came across an ad on YouTube for an “Ethereum mining pool” that promised high returns with minimal effort. Passive income was too tempting, and I didn’t think twice. Unfortunately, what I believed was a legitimate investment opportunity was a sophisticated scam. I lost 18 ETH, my entire retirement savings. The regret and despair I felt were overwhelming. It wasn’t just the money, but the fear of how I would secure my future. I did not know how to get it back or where to start. That's when a friend recommended Tech Cyber Force Recovery. At first, I was skeptical. After all, I had already lost so much, and I had no idea who could help me now. However, after contacting them, I was surprised at how understanding and patient they were with my situation. They assured me they had the tools and expertise to trace my lost funds, and I decided to give them a chance. Tech Cyber Force Recovery did exactly what they promised. Not only did they track down the funds, but they also uncovered the full scope of the scam operation. It was a complex network, involving multiple players across borders. The team worked tirelessly, collaborating with international exchanges and law enforcement to identify the culprits and retrieve as much of my money as possible. In the end, they recovered 17 ETH, 94% of what I had lost. Tech Cyber Force Recovery is a miracle worker with a heart of gold. I highly recommend them to anyone facing a similar situation.

Losing a significant amount of money, especially after years of hard work, was something I never expected to experience. As a pilot, I had spent countless hours away from home, saving diligently from my earnings. When I decided to invest my 133K CAD gratuity with ForexTilt, I thought it was a smart decision that would help grow my savings. The platform seemed promising, and I was confident in my choice. The disappointment and frustration were overwhelming, and I had no idea where to turn for help. I felt an overwhelming sense of loss and was unsure how to recover from it. How I Fell Victim to a Fake Trading Scam and Recovered My Money, This is a classic scam that I unfortunately fell victim to, and I want to share it to help others avoid the same fate. It all began with a young woman who seemed friendly and trustworthy. She initially caught my attention by talking about how much money she was making through a trading platform, claiming that her uncle had insider knowledge about when to trade. According to her, this “insider information” allowed her to make risk-free profits. At first, everything appeared legitimate. I made a few small gains, which only reinforced the illusion that this was a great opportunity. She encouraged me to deposit more funds, explaining that the more I invested, the higher my potential returns. As my balance grew, so did my trust in the platform and the woman who was guiding me. I was even able to withdraw small amounts of money early on, which further convinced me that everything was fine. But things quickly took a dark turn. When I tried to withdraw large sums, I was told that I couldn’t access my funds until I deposited even more money. My brokers and customer support became unresponsive, and the woman who had been so helpful in the beginning stopped replying to my messages. I was stuck, unable to withdraw my funds, and the pressure to deposit more kept mounting. I soon realized that I had been scammed. To make matters worse, they began pressuring me to take out loans and even mortgage my house to invest more. They painted a picture of even bigger profits, promising that I’d be able to withdraw everything once I deposited more money. But by that point, I had no more funds to invest, and when I tried to withdraw, I was blocked. It became clear that the whole operation was a trap designed to drain my money.Desperate to recover my lost funds, I reached out to a friend who recommended Digital Web Recovery. Their team acted quickly, working with the right authorities and providing professional support to recover my money. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to get back what I lost. Please, don't fall for these fake trading platforms. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, seek help immediately. It's been over 7 months of being deployed to help finish a project that's crossed the deadline umpteenth times. There's only this guy who had started on this project and me as developers. He's a nice guy, but I'm finding him to be a snowflake that's extremely difficult to work with. Every time I mention a critical problem with his original design, or the approaches he takes on this project, he takes it personally. He would pour out a long spiel of why this and why that, and waste most of the meeting time. Or he would run to his outdated diagrams or documents that he had created himself somewhere deep in the wiki forest, and use that as a defense. He creates his own user stories and tasks on a whim with no PM supervision. I've noted to the managers that this is a project to fail, and all they've done is assign a busy PM to this project, and the new PM is perfectly fine w/ the way the project has been handled so far.
I point out a small flaw with his assumptions just the other day, and he even managed to hyperventilate and again fall back to his outdated document... WTF? I'd rather start from scratch and get this project finished faster.. and even though I've expressed my objection to continue on this path, the managers foolishly believe that this project will be completed somehow. I don't hate my development partner, or PM, or people in the management, but I hate the fact that I don't have control over so many aspects of this project, including the half-assed, unnecessarily complex design, and the dev workflow itself. I feel like I'm tied to a car that's being thrown over the cliff, and assigned to fix the junky car w/ its engine broken before the car hits the ground. Something like this would never be allowed to go in a commercial sector. I just wish that the management could just give me control over project as THE lead & PM over this project, and get this project tied up for good, and with better reusability and quality.1
