Developed an android app for the client. It was going great. Prototype for the initial (and static) content to show to the client was on the way. All until...
*goes back in time to when we were developing the prototype*
The asshole boss: "Wow this is good, just remove the login after the splash screen. Redirect it to the dashboard immediately."
Me: "What? Why?"
TAB: "He (the CEO of our company) said that the client doesn't need to see the login."
Me: "Well, alright." (Orders are orders, better remove it)
*A few days later, we present the prototype to the CEO. He'll be the one talking to the client. TAB isn't in this meeting.*
CEO: "Where is the login screen?"
Me: *dumbfounded and confused, in silence, and pressure rising*
The Good Boss: *whispers* "Where is the login screen? I thought I told you guys it should be there."
Me: *whispers* "TAB told us to remove it."
TGB: *Looks toward CEO* "TAB told us to remove it."
CEO: "Ugh. TAB is sick."
A little giggle. Nonetheless the meeting continued. He was displeased. I was a little guilty. The login screen's code was already there. Just couldn't show it since the app doesn't redirect there anymore.
*A discussion after the meeting*
TGB: "Why'd you guys remove the login?"
Me: "You and TAB had a meeting with the CEO the other day. After the discussion TAB went to us and told us to change it."
TGB: "But the CEO said no such thing! Anyway, let's go back to the office and straighten this out tomorrow."
*The next day, TAB was in the office*
TGB: *Chatting on messenger with me* "He is completely denying it."
Me: "WHAT?"
TGB: "He said he never told you guys anything. And he is persistent. I kept telling him it was his fault, but he denies all of it. He never approached you guys to change anything."
Me: "Well yeah. I guess we magically thought to ourselves and said, 'Hey, let's remove the login screen for fun. Let's show them less content because that's how we please our clients!' -_-"
Seriously, what kind of assholefuckery is this. This shit is a whole new level. I am so TRIGGERED.
I don't really care that the meeting didn't go as planned. Just MAN UP AND ADMIT YOUR MISTAKE YOU FILTHY SON OF A GOOSE. Never listening to this asshole again. Thought he could be trusted. I will always ask my good boss next time.18 -
I'm getting ridiculously pissed off at Intel's Management Engine (etc.), yet again. I'm learning new terrifying things it does, and about more exploits. Anything this nefarious and overreaching and untouchable is evil by its very nature.
(tl;dr at the bottom.)
I also learned that -- as I suspected -- AMD has their own version of the bloody thing. Apparently theirs is a bit less scary than Intel's since you can ostensibly disable it, but i don't believe that because spy agencies exist and people are power-hungry and corrupt as hell when they get it.
For those who don't know what the IME is, it's hardware godmode. It's a black box running obfuscated code on a coprocessor that's built into Intel cpus (all Intell cpus from 2008 on). It runs code continuously, even when the system is in S3 mode or powered off. As long as the psu is supplying current, it's running. It has its own mac and IP address, transmits out-of-band (so the OS can't see its traffic), some chips can even communicate via 3g, and it can accept remote commands, too. It has complete and unfettered access to everything, completely invisible to the OS. It can turn your computer on or off, use all hardware, access and change all data in ram and storage, etc. And all of this is completely transparent: when the IME interrupts, the cpu stores its state, pauses, runs the SMM (system management mode) code, restores the state, and resumes normal operation. Its memory always returns 0xff when read by the os, and all writes fail. So everything about it is completely hidden from the OS, though the OS can trigger the IME/SMM to run various functions through interrupts, too. But this system is also required for the CPU to even function, so killing it bricks your CPU. Which, ofc, you can do via exploits. Or install ring-2 keyloggers. or do fucking anything else you want to.
tl;dr IME is a hardware godmode, and if someone compromises this (and there have been many exploits), their code runs at ring-2 permissions (above kernel (0), above hypervisor (-1)). They can do anything and everything on/to your system, completely invisibly, and can even install persistent malware that lives inside your bloody cpu. And guess who has keys for this? Go on, guess. you're probably right. Are they completely trustworthy? No? You're probably right again.
There is absolutely no reason for this sort of thing to exist, and its existence can only makes things worse. It enables spying of literally all kinds, it enables cpu-resident malware, bricking your physical cpu, reading/modifying anything anywhere, taking control of your hardware, etc. Literal godmode. and some of it cannot be patched, meaning more than a few exploits require replacing your cpu to protect against.
And why does this exist?
Ostensibly to allow sysadmins to remote-manage fleets of computers, which it does. But it allows fucking everything else, too. and keys to it exist. and people are absolutely not trustworthy. especially those in power -- who are most likely to have access to said keys.
The only reason this exists is because fucking power-hungry doucherockets exist.26 -

It's not motivation that you need, it's dedication.
You see, motivation is temporary thing, that sudden flow of dopamine running through your body that you get after some success or after being admired by someone or simply after good sleep and nice morning shower.
But the problem with motivation is that it's just temporary thing. After a while (hours, days, if you're lucky weeks) it just wears off and you're left pretty much where you started.
But there's one thing that remains and that's persistent. It's called DEDICATION. If you dedicate yourself to something, you are willing to do it no matter what it takes from you. Even if it frustrates you along the way or makes you angry, you wanna be able to say "It's finished. I'm satisfied with it" after you finish it. You are willing to crawl to the finishing line but no matter the obstacle, just knowing that you're getting closer to the finishing line is gonna motivate you. Your dedication is gonna become motivation generator. And that's the key. You need the passion and dedicate yourself to it.
But hey, sound simple but we all know the struggle. Sometimes it's even hard to recognize dedication from motivation. And sometimes you just go "Ok. Fuck it. I'm done" and leave it and that's okay AS LONG AS you get back to it after a while. As long as the inner you, the dedicated you that got you here in the first place, goes "Dude, it's tough. But it's alright, we refreshed a bit and now we're gonna fucking make it" (nope, I don't have schizophrenia) and you listen and get back at it.
Dedication is tough. It's about self control and understanding yourself deeply and balancing your mind. It's nirvana of success. It's the ultimate balance. But you can get there. If you want. Badly.
TL;DR You need dedication, not motivation. Punish yourself and reward yourself. Not too harsh and not too much. Just so that you don't lose track.
But most of all, GOOD LUCK YOU AMAZING FUCKS!5 -

"Ad targeters are pulling data from your browser’s password manager"
---
Well, fuck.
"It won't be easy to fix, but it's worth doing"
Just check for visibility or like other password managers handle it iirc: assign a unique identifier based on form content and fill that identifier only.
---
"Nearly every web browser now comes with a password manager tool, a lightweight version of the same service offered by plugins like LastPass and 1Password. But according to new research from Princeton's Center for Information Technology Policy, those same managers are being exploited as a way to track users from site to site.
The researchers examined two different scripts — AdThink and OnAudience — both of are designed to get identifiable information out of browser-based password managers. The scripts work by injecting invisible login forms in the background of the webpage and scooping up whatever the browsers autofill into the available slots. That information can then be used as a persistent ID to track users from page to page, a potentially valuable tool in targeting advertising."

Sometimes taking a break can really clear your head. Yesterday evening, I was programming with my mate and couldn't find a very persistent bug. Didn't want to get a break because I just wanted to solve it. He convinced me to go downstairs and get a drink. Reached the bottom of the stairs aaaaand poof, figured out the bug!1

- popunder background bitcoin miners did become a thing
- keybase android beta uploaded your privatekey to google servers "accidentally"
- you can spoof email headers via encoded chars, because most apps literally just render them apparently
- imgur leaked 1.7 million user accounts, protected by sha-256 "The company made sure to note that the compromised account information included only email addresses and passwords" - yeah "only", ofcourse imgur, ofcourse.
I guess the rant I did on Krahk etc. just roughly a month ago, can always be topped by something else.

Interviewed at a pseudo-startup (not quite a startup, but later realized run and organized like one) where the VP of dev ops seemed eager to have me in. I sent him my code sample and he said he'd schedule an onsite. Weeks went by without a peep.
Being persistent, I kept emailing, figuring the environment still might be worth the apparent lack of interest... Eventually the dude told me he'd been away on "travel" and he didn't check his mail. He said come on by if I was still interested...
I went in and met with a couple people on the team, interviewed (I think) well and he said he'd be in touch. Another two weeks -- nothing. I emailed again, he said they hadn't reached a decision. By this time, I'd pretty much written it off. I never heard anything back. No good, no bad.
Moral of the story, don't waste your time on anyone who doesn't respect it enough to give you theirs.3 -
a small local social network i made around 2008 as a replacement for the original which the owner closed down.
i missed the people from there, so it motivated me to make a replacement in a week, while learning html+php+mysql+js.
it worked for about 3 years and i redid it from scratch 3 times as i gradually learned more.
it was cool to be basically a host of a community i've come to like in the years before, and it was basically the only project i felt, really felt, had meaning, a point. people were grateful that i made a replacement for the original closed-down site, and i was grateful that they were using it and that i could keep talking to all of them on it.
at the height of its popularity it had about 1500 registered accounts, 150 daily logged in ones, and about 30-40 very active ones.
it was also the place where i went to implement all the cool stuff i learned and came up with.
it had a pretty cool questionnaire creator (originally just a test of how deppressed users are, but then i thought "why not let people make their own tests/questionnaires?"), which tracked people's results over time and showed them on a cool interactive flash-based chart.
also a whole forum system made from scratch, wysiwyg article editor, later seamlessly integrated admin controls for those who had privileges, like, not a separate admin ui, but the admin buttons right on the site, later even a realtime chat persistent across page reloads where you could put special links which, on click, would highlight site elements/buttons, or even complete step-by-step path to them if it was more clicks. would highlight the first step, after clicking would then highlight the second one, and so on...
it was pretty cool stuff for 2008, and afaik it basically landed me my first two full-time jobs with almost no actual job interview, basically just "we looked at the site, interesting stuff, tell us how you did x and y and z on it, okay, hired"
back then i kinda felt i have a bright future ahead of me =D1 -
Did a bunch more cowboy coding today as I call it (coding in vi on production). Gather 'round kiddies, uncle Logan's got a story fer ya…
First things first, disclaimer: I'm no sysadmin. I respect sysadmins and the work they do, but I'm the first to admit my strengths definitely lie more in writing programs rather than running servers.
Anyhow, I recently inherited someone else's codebase (the story of my profession career, but I digress) and let me tell you this thing has amateur hour written all over it. It's written in PHP and JavaScript by a self-taught programmer who apparently discovered procedural programming and decided there was nothing left to learn and stopped there (no disrespect to self-taught programmers).
I could rant for days about the various problems this codebase has, but today I have a very specific story to tell. A story about errors and logs.
And it all started when I noticed the disk space on our server was gradually decreasing.
So today I logged onto our API server (Ubuntu running Apache/PHP) and did a df -h to check the disk space, and was surprised to see that it had noticeably decreased since the last time I'd checked when everything was running smoothly. But seeing as this server does not store any persistent customer data (we have a separate db server) and purely hosts the stateless API, it should NOT be consuming disk space over time at all.
The only thing I could think of was the logs, but the logs were very quiet, just the odd benign message that was fully expected. Just to be sure I did an ls -Sh to check the size of the logs, and while some of them were a little big, nothing over a few megs. Nothing to account for gigabytes of disk space gradually disappearing.
What could it be? I wondered.
cd ../..
du . | sort --sort=numeric
What's this? 2671132 K in some log folder buried in the api source code? I cd into it and it turns out there are separate PHP log files in there, split up by customer, so that each customer of ours (we have 120) has their own respective error log! (Why??)
Armed with this newfound piece of (still rather unbelievable) evidence I perform a mad scramble to search the codebase for where this extra logging is happening and sure enough I find a custom PHP error handler that is capturing (most) errors and redirecting them to these individualized log files.
Conveniently enough, not ALL errors were being absorbed though, so I still knew the main error_log was working (and any time I explicitly error_logged it would go there, so I was none the wiser that this other error-catching was even happening).
Needless to say I removed the code as quickly as I found it, tail -f'd the error_log and to my dismay it was being absolutely flooded with syntax errors, runtime PHP exceptions, warnings galore, and all sorts of other things.
My jaw almost hit the floor. I've been with this company for 6 months and had no idea these errors were even happening!
The sad thing was how easy to fix all the errors ended up being. Most of them were "undefined index" errors that could have been completely avoided with a simple isset() check, but instead ended up throwing an exception, nullifying any code that came after it.
Anyway kids, the moral of the story is don't split up your log files. It makes absolutely no sense and can end up obscuring easily fixable bugs for half a year or more!
Happy coding.6 -
Well, I was Always into Computers and Games and stuff and at some point, I started wondering: "why does Computer Go brrr when I Hit this Button?".
It was WinAPI C++ and I was amazed by the tons of work the programmers must have put into all this.
13 year old me was Like: "I can make a Game, cant be too hard."
It was hard.
Turns out I grabbed a Unity Version and tried Things, followed a tutorial and Made a funny jet Fighter Game (which I sadly lost).
Then an article got me into checking out Linux based systems and pentesting.
*Promptly Burns persistent Kali Live to USB Stick"
"Wow zhis koohl".
Had Lots of fun with Metasploit.
Years pass and I wrap my head around Javascript, Node, HTML and CSS, I tried making a Website, worked Out to some extent.
More years pass, we annoy our teacher so long until he opens up an arduino course at school.
He does.
We built weather stations with an ESP32 and C++ via Arduino Software, literally build 3 quadrocopter drones with remote Control and RGB lighting.
Then, Cherry on the top of everything, we win the drone flying Contest everyone gets some nice stuff.
A couple weeks later my class teacher requests me and two of my friends to come along on one of their annual teacher meetings where there are a bunch of teachers from other schools and where they discuss new technology and stuff.
We are allowed to present 3D printing, some of our past programming and some of the tech we've built.
Teachers were amazed, I had huge amounts of fun answering their questions and explaining stuff to them.
Finally done with Realschulabschluss (Middle-grade-graduation) and High school Starts.
It's great, we finally have actual CS lessons, we lesen Java now.
It's fuckton of fun and I ace all of it.
Probably the best grades I ever had in any class.
Then, in my free time, I started writing some simple programs, firstvI extended our crappy Greenfoot Marsrover Project and gave it procedural Landscape Generation (sort of), added a Power system, reactors, Iron and uranium or, refineries, all kinds of cool stuff.
After teaching myself more Java, I start making some actual projects such as "Ranchu's bag of useful and not so useful stuff", namely my OnyxLib library on my GitHub.
More time passes, more Projects are finished, I get addicted to coding, literally.
My days were literally Eat, Code, sleep, repeat.
After breaking that unhealthy cycle I fixed it with Long Breaks and Others activities in between.
In conclusion I Always wanted to know what goes on beneath the beautiful front end of the computer, found out, and it was the most amazing thing ever.
I always had constant fun while coding (except for when you don't have fun) and really enjoyed it at most times.
I Just really love it.
About a year back now I noticed that I was really quite good at what I was doing and I wanted to continue learning and using my programming.
That's when I knew that shit was made for me.
...fuck that's a long read.5 -

>MFW I wonder if there are other websites that are this fucking lazy!!!
>MFW they won't fix it because it would require extra work.
>MFuckingFW they tell me not to do it again in the future
>realize that since they aren't going to fix it I'll just put myself on another person's subscription.5 -
Tldr; my "this is not bug, its a feature" moment actually turned my bug into a feature.
Today we were presenting a project which has imposible deadline. I am developing this small project alone (which is probably good). I implemented core features first but I know project still have bugs and a lot of tech debts. Another friend started to presenting our demo and a wild bug appeared as expected. He was adding rows to a table. To add a new you gotta open new modal by clicking + button and fill the form. One of the fields had a bug. When you add row by clicking Ok button, the value of the field stayed there after you open modal again. So its basically a state problem in React. I forgot to clear previous state of modal. When they see that and my friend said "oh we got a bug there". Then I enabled my mic and said "thats not a bug, thats a feature. I didn't want to enter that field again and again when I adding multiple rows and made it persistent." and you know what? They liked the idea! They requested to add that bug to two more fields. I was just joking and my "this is not bug, its a feature" moment actually turned my bug into a feature. Instead of fixing it, I'm creating more of this bug. LOL!4 -
Routing and analysis of http behaviour with wireshark makes so much joy and fun.
Wanna get even more fun?
Add DNS. Add loadbalancers.
Loadbalancers?
Hell Yeah!
VLAN X has it's own router and domain overrides to give a service a seperate IP pointing to a loadbalancer inside the VLAN X.
loadbalancer in VLAN X then has additional routes to point to loadbalancer in VLAN Y.
Which might then point to the service in VLAN Y or... point to another loadbalancer in VLAN Z.
I'm always amazed what a human mind can create....
If you think that's insane, then add HTTP keepalive and persistent connections.
I just love people who have no idea what they're doing but are able to create a clusterfuck of brainfuck....

Too many night shifts.
But it's done.
After the last migrations my emotional state is... Questionable.
VM migrations between different CPU vendors and generations leading to segfaults because of unsupported X86 extensions.... Thx for doing that at 23 o'clock after 8 hours of work....
Forgetting a left over NIC in a virtual machine, creating a routing loop, leading to very erratic behaviour and fun things.
Someone forgot to check the '"Unique" box, mass spawning a cluster of VMs with same MAC adresses....
DNS fuckery since someone thought that reboot would flush the cache of an DNS server.... Nope most DNS servers have persistent caches. You'll have to flush manually.
And let's not forget the joy of the 12 plus pages of when and where to move VMs, harddrives and VLAN configuration.
Oh migrations are such a festival of joy.
Finally done with that shit -.-4 -

I just saw someone write about how much he hates school and it reminded me of all I am about to say:
I go to a fancy private school in my country full of shitheads and idiots that think that they can rely on their parents money for the rest of their lives, are always concerned about the latest trends (yeezys, dabs, fidget spinners... etc) and it just gets on my nerves as I have to live with all that and have almost no friends since I failed my class two years ago, when I sit in school I can't focus on anything the teacher says which in turn contributes to my shit grades and there is nothing I can do about it. I have been diagnosed with persistent depresseive disorderand bouts of major depression and my mom won't accept to give me adequate medication because she says(although this is not always the case) that antidepressants can trigger the bipolar disorder that runs in my family, and on top of all this shit, ever since I was 7 I have been raised by my single mother after my father died (I never tell people that my father is dead usually because I hate the look of pity I get coming out of their faces) and my mother has been screwed over for all her life because she can't make a good decision or call bullshit even if you put a gun to her head.
And what I hate most about all that is that I have no one to talk to because my mom is one of those religious freaks so I can't talk to her about my real deep thoughts, and every psychologist or counselor I have been to has been shit.
And this is just another chronicle of my miserable fucking existence.11 -

Every website we craft at work has some email substitution logic so that addresses you see on the site don't actually exist in the HTML source like that (you wouldn't find them in a format like "foo@example.com").
Instead the @ and the period right before the TLD get replaced with something else (to prevent (dumb) spam bots from using that address and blast it with junk).
Some people replaced them with images in the past (ew), replaced the @ with "(at)" or other stuff.
I made it a habit to render the @ and . by replacing them with span tags which then get a ::before in CSS that contains "content: '@';", so that the @ is visible but is not actually inside the HTML source code.
The classes for these spans then have a random name (persistent for that website though). The first one was called "move-along-nothing-to-see-here", but then I started naming them after Star Wars quotes.
One website's @ class is called "that-s-no-moon" (Obi Wan), others are called "i-have-a-bad-feeling-about-this" (Han Solo), "powerful-you-have-become-the-dark-side-I-sense-in-you." (Yoda) and "these-are-not-the-droids-you-are-looking-for" (Obi Wan).12 -

WHY IS IT SO FUCKIN ABSURDLY HARD TO PUSH BITS/BYTES/ASM ONTO PROCESSOR?
I have bytes that I want ran on the processor. I should:
1. write the bytes to a file
2a. run a single command (starting virtual machine (that installed with no problems (and is somewhat usable out-of-the-box))) that would execute them, OR
2b. run a command that would image those bytes onto (bootable) persistent storage
3b. restart and boot from that storage
But nooo, that's too sensible, too straightforward. Instead I need to write those bytes as a parameter into a c function of "writebytes" or whatever, wrap that function into an actual program, compile the program with gcc, link the program with whatever, whatever the program, build the program, somehow it goes through some NASM/MASM "utilities" too, image the built files into one image, re-image them into hdd image, and WHO THE FUCK KNOWS WHAT ELSE.
I just want... an emulator? probably. something. something which out of the box works in a way that I provide file with bytes, and it just starts executing them in the same way as an empty processor starts executing stuff.
What's so fuckin hard about it? I want the iron here, and I want a byte funnel into that iron, and I want that iron to run the bytes i put into the fuckin funnel.
Fuckin millions of indirection layers. Fuck off. Give me an iron, or a sensible emulation of that iron, and give me the byte funnel, and FUCK THE FUCK AWAY AND LET ME PLAY AROUND.6 -

I have a confession to make. I am indeed a team of entities. Yes! The only catch is all those entities live inside one brain.
My first and perhaps most important insight stemmed from not being able to overcome a persistent identity crisis. I spent seven years trying to figure out who I am and what my worldview is. I realized however that it was impossible. It makes no sense to be rational while your irrational part is hovering over, judging.
So, I split my “me” into two parts: rational and emotional. Usually, they coexist peacefully.
When presented with a complicated case, I let both speak. It doesn't matter if they contradict each other. The consensus is never reached, but at least both parts spoke their mind and are now calm.
There are two kikis. Rational kiki talks about life, insights, worldview, and occasionally tech. Emotional kiki sends leg pics and describes her wild dreams.
Also, it gets even more complex when derealization hits. Remember, autistic brains don't have garbage collectors, so as the day goes by, noise accumulates, influencing my entire being. In the morning, I'm cold and calculated, albeit a bit robotic. In the evening, I'm creative and talkative, albeit a bit unhinged.
You're welcome!7 -
when you end up in the ER with excruciating pain early on a Saturday morning from persistent inflammation from chronic job stress and getting sick more than normally, you gotta change jobs.
no amount of money is worth your health.

I'm writing a devrant like site, so a kind of forum that supports live chat under every article. Login will be just username and password to stay anonymous. Email is optional for password reset. Also it won't have password requirements. Who cares if user uses insecure password. I do like the devrant avatar thing. I will use the ducky generator instead. So everyone on the site is a custom duck. K-SASS prolly never expected his generator to be used anywhere. The requirement of this site is that it scales very well. I have db calls of 0.006s, this is for persistent data only and will be used by all site instances. I expect that it can handle many clients concurrent as long I do not return more than 30 rows or so. Events get handled by a self written pubsub server.
All sounds great and development goes fine. But why is this a rant? Because the same thing as always is biting me, I can't design a site at all. I know how but I don't have any feeling for design at all making me almost incapable of building an attractive site. The only thing I can 'design' is an application in bootstrap or smth. I spend so much time one design while I don't like to do it ironically. But looks of site is almost as important as an good working site. Good working site doesn't get used if looks bad in many casee. This is since the start of my career an issue and it sucks that I appearantly can't deliver a whole site on my own meeting my standards.
My backend work is top notch tho. Btw, this application is not to be an alternative for devrant. I do not think I can attract more users than it already has and I've seen two communities disappearing once because someone decided to make a new one, took half of community with him and both communities died after short while.
End product of this project is a working project, not a live site hosted somewhere. It's pure about mixing mostly self written tech to get the best performance. Reinventing wheel on many levels. I wanted maybe to do the site in C but decided that it's way to much work for the value. I change the site so rapid since I don't have decent plan that python aiohttp is the best choice in amount of writing it yourself and fast. It's very lightweight.
More a story than a rant, sorry26 -

tl;dr I lost my path, learned to a lot about linux and found true love.
So because of the recent news about wpa2, I thought about learning to do some things network penetration with kali. My roommate and I took an old 8gb usb and turned it into a bootable usb with persistent storage. Maybe not the best choice, but atleast we know how to do that now.
Anyway, we started with a kali.iso from 2015, because we thought it would be faster than downloading it with a 150kpbs connection. Learned a lot from that mistake while waiting apt-get update/upgrade.
Next day I got access to some faster connection, downloaded a new release build and put the 2015 version out it's misery. Finally some signs of progress. But that was not enough. We wanted more. We (well atleast I) wanted to try i3, because one of my friends showed me to /r/unixporn (btw, pornhub is deprecated now). So after researching what i3 is, what a wm is AND what a dm is, we replaced gdm3 with lightdm and set i3 as standard wm. With the user guide on an other screen we started playing with i3. Apparently heaven is written with two characters only. Now I want to free myself from windows and have linux (Maybe arch) as my main system, but for now we continue to use thus kali usb to learn about how to set uo a nice desktop environment. Wait, why did we choose to install kali? 😂
I feel kinda sorry for that, but I want to experiment on there before until I feel confident. (Please hit me up with tips about i3)
Still gotta use Windows as a subsystem for gaming. 😥3 -
*revving chainsaw noises*
Today I started nuking leftover project code.
At the end, some projects shrunk by roughly up to 40 % .
Can anyone explain to me why programmers have such an awful hoarding syndrome?
Why do you keep shit that might unleash complete havoc cause it hasn't been touched since years and noone knows id it still works?
It's like having a leg with gangrene and keeping it cause "it doesn't look that bad".
For fucks sake. Clean up and remove shit when it's not necessary anymore.
Reason why I did a bloody gore massacre in nearly a dozen projects... After all the rework of networking, it's finally evident which projects have a bad / nasty behaviour of "fucked up" connection handling (HTTP 1.1).
And when my gory massacre removal goes life, I think 25-35 % of persistent connections on the loadbalancers will vanish. Maybe even more, since some very nasty stuff was in some projects.
Like "let's implement monitoring without having any clue about how monitoring works and even less clues about how TCP/ HTTP works."
*Bangs devs heads on table*
Stop. Doing. Stupid. Things.
For fucks sake.

Today, I have installed/uninstalled a combination of [windows 7, arch linux, dual-boot] a total of 9 times...
I wouldn't be surprised if my 120G SSD fails next week
It all started when I had to whip up a GUI-wrapped youtube-dl based program for a windows machine.
Thinking a handy GUI python library will get it done in no time, I started right away with the Kivy quick-start page in front of me.
Everything seemed to be going fine, until I decided it would be "wise" to first check if I can run Kivy on said windows machine.
Here I spent what felt like a day (5 hours) trying to install core pip modules for kivy.. only before realizing my innocent cygwin64 setup was the reason everything was failing, and that sys.platform was NOT set to "win32" (a requirement later discovered when unpacking .whl files)
"Okay.. you know what? Fuck........ This."
In a haze of frustration, I decided it was my fault for ever deciding to do Python on windows, and that "none of this would've happened if I were installing pip modules on a Linux terminal"...
I then had the "brilliant" idea of "Why don't I just use Linux, and make windows a virtual machine within, for testing."
And so I spent the next hour getting everything set up correctly for me get back to programming.... And so I did.
But uh... you're doing GUI stuff, right? -> Yeah...
And you uh.. Kivy uses OpenGL on windows, doesn't it? -> Yeah..?
OpenGL... 2.
-> Fuck.
That's when I realized my "brilliant" idea, was actually a really bad prank. Turns out.. I needed a native windows environment with up-to-date non-virtual graphics drivers that supported at least OpenGL2 for Kivy GUI programs!
Something I already had from square 1.
And at this point, it hurts to even sigh knowing I wasted hours just... making... poor decisions, my very first one being cygwin64 as a substitution for windows cmd.
But persistent as any programmer should be in order to succeed, I dragged my sorry ass back to the computer to reinstall windows on the actual hardware... again.
While the windows installer was busy jacking off all over my precious gigabytes (why does it need that much spaaace for a base install??? fuck.). I had "yet another brilliant idea" YABI™
Why not just do a dual-boot? That way, you have the best of both worlds, you do python stuff in Linux, and when it's time to build and test on the target OS, you have a native windows environment!
This synthetic harmony sounded amazing to the desperate, exhausted, shell of a man that I had become after such a back-breaking experience with cygwin
Now that my windows platter with a side of linux was all set-up and ready-to-go, I once again booted up windows to test if Kivy even worked.
And... It did!
And just as I began raising my victory flags, I suddenly realized there was one more thing I had to do, something trivial, should take me "no time" to do, being in a native windows environment and all.................... -.- (sigh)
I had to make sure it compiles to a traditional exe...
Not a biggy, right? Just find one of those py2exe—sounding modules or something, and surprisingly enough, there was indeed a py2exe—sounding module, conveniently named... py2exe.
Not a second thought given, I thought surely this was a good enough way of doing it, just gonna look up the py2exe guide and...
-> 3 hours later + 1 extra coffee
What do you meeeeean "module not found"? Do I need to install more dependencies? Why doesn't it say so in the DAMN guide? Wait I don't? Why are you showing me that error message then????
-------------------------------
No. I'm not doing this.
I shut off my computer and took a long... long.. break.
Only to return sometime the next day and end up making no progress, beating my SSD with more OS installs (sometimes with no obvious reason to do so).
Wondering whether I should give up Kivy itself as it didn't seem compatible with py2exe.. I discovered pyInstaller, which seemed to be the way Kivy wants exe's to be made on windows..
Awesome! I should've looked up how Kivy developers make exe's instead of jumping straight into py2exe land, (I guess "py2exe" just sounded more effective to me then)
More hours pass, and you'd think I'd have eliminated all of my build environment problems by now... but oh, how wrong you'd be...
pyInstaller was failing, and half the solutions I found online were to download some windows update KB32946..whatever...
The other half telling me to downgrade from Python 3.8.1 to Python 3.8.0000.009 (exaggeration! But you get the point)
At the end of all that mess, I decided it wasn't worth some of my lifespan, and that maybe.. just maybe.. it would've been better to create WINDOWS GUI with the mother fuc*ing WINDOWS API.
Alright, step 1: Get Visual Studio..
Step 2: kys
Step 3: kys again.6 -
You are like Windows updates personified.
Annoying, persistent...
And I want to punch you in the face. -

TL;DR: Can anyone recommend or point at any resources which deal with best practices and software design for non-beginners?
I started out as a self-taught programmer 7 years ago when I was 15, now I'm computer science student at a university.
I'd consider myself pretty experienced when it comes to designing software as I already made lots of projects, from small things which can be done in a week, to a project which i worked on for more than a year. I don't have any problems with coming up with concepts for complex things. To give you an example I recently wrote a cache system for an android app I'm working on in my free time which can cache everything from REST responses to images on persistent storage combined with a memcache for even faster access to often accessed stuff all in a heavily multithreaded environment. I'd consider the system as solid. It uses a request pattern where everthing which needs to be done is represented by a CacheTask object which can be commited and all responses are packed into CacheResponse objects.
Now that you know what i mean by "non-beginner" lets get on to the problem:
In the last weeks I developed the feeling that I need to learn more. I need to learn more about designing and creating solid systems. The design phase is the most important part during development and I want to get it right for a lot bigger systems.
I already read a lot how other big systems are designed (android activity system and other things with the same scope) but I feel like I need to read something which deals with these things in a more general way.
Do you guys have any recommended readings on software design and best practices?3 -
I gave a very small overview of the flutter sdk a whiiiile ago and I have been thinking about going back to it. Currently considering between 2 courses on udemy that are at a discount price. I love the idea of dart as a language and prefer declarative ui building over xml shittyness. I was an Android/ios development for 2 years and hated every minute of it, but really love the idea of building mobile apps.
What are your thoughts and considerations on this? Should I jump right in or just leave it asside? What are your success stories with flutter and what did you use to learn the framework besides the docs? How easy are things like state management and persistent storage with flutter compared to android and ios?
I will eventually make my own decission by building sample projects, but hearing from the community would be great.5 -
I've never been a big fan of the "Cloud hype".
Take today for example. What decent persistent storage options do I have for my EKS cluster?
- EBS -- does not support ReadWriteMany, meaning all the pods mounting that volume will have to be physically running on the same server. No HA, no HP. Bummer
- EFS -- expensive. On top of that, its performance is utter shit. Sure, I could buy more IOPS, but then again.. even more expensive.
S3 -- half-assed filesystem. Does not support O_APPEND, so basically any file modifications will have to be in a
`createFile(file+"_new", readAll(file) + new_data); removeFile(file); renameFile(file + "_new", file);`
way.
ON TOP of that, the s3 CSI has even more limitations, limiting my ability to cross-mount volumes across different applications (permission issues)
I'm running out of options. And this does not help my distrust in cloud infras...

You people might like to make fun of the engineer who put an entire game in VRAM and then played it from there, but I had the idea to preinstall game assets to VRAM years ago, and once GPUs gain persistent RAM, it is a no brainer
Not everything that sounds silly is useless, damn it. Sometimes it is progress in the making.7 -
Your computer is probably vulnerable to Samy Kamkar's poisontap: a Pi Zero-based device that connects to usb and does the following:
- emulates an Ethernet device over USB (or Thunderbolt)
- hijacks all Internet traffic from the machine (despite being a low priority/unknown network interface)
- siphons and stores HTTP cookies and sessions from the web browser for the Alexa top 1,000,000 websites
- exposes the internal router to the attacker, making it accessible remotely via outbound WebSocket and DNS rebinding
- installs a persistent web-based backdoor in HTTP cache for hundreds of thousands of domains and common Javascript CDN URLs, all with access to the user's cookies via cache poisoning
- allows attacker to remotely force the user to make HTTP requests and proxy back responses (GET & POSTs) with the user's cookies on any backdoored domain
- does not require the machine to be unlocked
- backdoors and remote access persist even after device is removed and attacker sashays away
I need several minutes with your laptop to perform the hack, even if it's locked. Full-disk encryption and secure boot won't save you.
If you use GNU/Linux, install usbguard today. If you use macOS/Windows, idk, pray.19 -

What's better for finding candidates for a development role: having the candidate solve a complex whiteboard problem or have the candidate refactor some code (maybe a couple of small modules) while explaining as he/she goes through each step?
I personally feel both are good, but I think refactoring is a very much needed skill when you're dealing with the complexity of millions and millions lines of code, so being able to change your inital design to make it more readable and flexible later on is crucial. And refactoring usually goes hand and hand with having tests in place.
An interesting exercise would be to give the candidate a test suite with the corresponding code that's tested in a working state and let the candidate decide how much refactoring needs to be done. In the process the candidate would need to break and fix tests of course while changing things... it'll give a good measure of their ability to take code and change it to a "better" state of design and flexiblity.
On the other hand I do think there is a place for cliche white boarding problems because it really shows one willingness to tackle complex problems which do arise in most development jobs. Asking the questions and being persistent goes along way and can really help when you're collaborating with other developers to solve an issue at hand.
Overall I think there should be a white board problem, but I don't think that should be the deciding factor. Rather couple it with other very practical skills you should have as a developer already; among those being refactoring.1 -
An old hillbilly named Bill, who started programming on patch panels in the 60's. Imagine that if you will. He taught me to be persistent, not to fear mistskes, and never take myself too seriously.

So I've spent all day chasing around this issue for a coworker who was trying to help a client with a new report they were deploying to their system.
Now I learned a couple of things today because of this. Due to moving buildings, our new network completely broke our report server because the DNS can't resolve it's name. Since we're rewriting this system from the ground up, I haven't been majorly concerned about getting this fixed, but with this coming up, being persistent, I'm glad I figured it out. IT did give us a static IP for this VM, but they never bothered to add a DNS entry for it, so for the past couple of months, this hasn't worked for some reason, and now that's why.
So the root cause of my issue can been seen from 2 directions, the dev of the report, and the dev of the UI that reads it. The dev who wrote this code originally is checking very specifically for 'asc' and 'desc', meanwhile my mans who wrote the report has his order by with 'ASC' where he needs it.
(MAN, THE PREVIOUS DEV WAS GREAT)
I'm glad I was able to help him, but god damn, that took all day, AND TO FIND IT WAS A CAPTIALIZATION ISSUE, AAAAAAAAA FUCK ME -

DREAM 1
(my comments look like this)
A kikiland metro system. It's extradimensional and shapeshifting. When you enter it, it adapts to your needs. The people inside (they're probably just vinyl shells), the social circumstances, all generated for you.
When you enter it, it knows where you want to go. It spawns exactly one train just for you. It will be the first, it will be the last. You have to catch it to go where you need. If you miss it, there will be no more trains, and you have to wait till the metro station closes for the night and reopens.
It's always you entering, catching the train that arrives just in time, going to where you need to go and exiting.
Because of its extradimensional nature, you cannot agree to meet someone there — every person has their own personal metro generated just for them every time, with exactly one train going exactly to the station you need.
It's used by BLA as a form of control. When they don't want you to go somewhere, the train won't spawn. Or, it might diverge and get you to some other place. It isn't known whether the map can be altered on the fly or not. So far, the consensus is that the map is persistent and is a public knowledge, and it's just the metro itself that is extradimensional. But, no one ever saw the real metro in its real form, and not the top layer that protrudes into the three-dimensional world you can interact with. It might be the case that they can make people disappear by creating ad-hoc stations that don't intersect with the real world, trapping them in places that are nowhere in particular.
(it took seeing BLA once in one dream to make all the following dreams include them. Sigh.)
Kikiland also has a school, and it always had it. I befriended a chemistry teacher there. His classroom is small — exactly as deep as other classrooms, but really narrow. There are no desks there, just his desk and some bookshelves. Chemistry isn't a priority there — his class exists only because it should. No one attends it. This is why he was so pleased to meet me. Despite his classroom being located on a busy floor, its door is overlooked by students, and NO ONE ever enters it. He just sits there, waiting for students to arrive, but they never do.
He has a secret, though, because of course he does. In the game Control, if you complete the main storyline before you complete some side quests, one of the main characters will be sitting in the C-suit hall, doing her things, waiting for you to come and talk to her. But at the same time, she will be waiting for you deep down the oldest house's mines, again, just sitting there, waiting for you to take the quest. This teacher is the same.
If you have a good relationship with him, and you attend his class, the classroom will change to a tunnel entrance, with him being the security guard. He's your friend, he'll let you in. It looks like Fallout's vault entrance. THIS is how you enter the REAL kikiland metro. (Dream 1 ends here.)
Episode 2
Tiny waterborne rat puppies whose mouth is their entire face unfolding like a piece of paper with teeth covering it as a grid. (I wrote about them already, but here they are again.) They are _tiny_, a bit like tadpoles. Also, like tadpoles, they die if you touch them out of water. As I was flying over some mountain resort (I routinely fly in my dreams, but it feels more like a very low gravity falling I can control, like using a parachute in GTA San Andreas), I dumped them to a location that resembled the garden level of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within for my cat to eat. It didn't want to. -
Anyone know of a good docker backup tool?
I'm working with fairly limited space here so Im looking for a tool to allow me to backup and restore my docker instance without storing easily recreatable data.
That means that what I want to backup are:
- Container specs (inspections or the like)
- Contents of persistent, non-nfs volumes
Since the image and the contents of my nfs volumes are stored elsewhere, and my space is limited, I decided not to back them up. Same for non-persistent (unnamed) volumes since they mostly contain stuff that you don't want to recreate on every container update or recreation but can easily be recreated if needed.
The hope is that this approach should give me a pretty slim backup while still preserving everything I need to recreate my whole docker instance.
Thanks in advance!11 -
Anyone know how to make a persistent backdoor with Kali, without setting off any AV? I can make the payload fine, but when setting persistence, shit hits the fan

I want to have a persistent game, where I correct all of the wrongs of the world in the past and the game then shows me how the present and future of real life would look like...
Say is the IBM Summit Supercomputer free for a telnet session? Stupid shit is playing petrus (Weather prediction) all the time...2 -
I guess I'll just die.
Using unity for a commission project:
Have a CCG-like setup, the cards inherit from Scriptable object, need to serialize a card inventory for the sake of persistence.
Attempt 1: XML serialization: get fucked, can't serialize dictionaries (what the hell)
Attempt 2: using data representation of the dictionary contents: get fucked, can't serialize Scriptable objects because they have to be handled by the engine...
Well okay, what if I use a Scriptable object to keep a persistent dictionary?
Attempt 3: Scriptable object with dictionary: get fucked, the dictionary didn't persist
Well now I'm starting to lose it, I've tried so many things, XML, Binary and JSon serialization, Scriptable objects, data representations, I'm really running out of ideas. I can only think of one more option: throw the Card objects into a Resources folder, an build a set of comma delimited strings to serialize. This is stupid.
Fuck Unity. Shit like this is why I'm making my own engine. Every week I find some new peeve, some new way that unity is full of redundancy and poor design, architectural flaws and workflow deficiencies. I don't know how much more of this I can take.2 -
I'm currently working on a dynamics CRM project which has been going on for almost a year, we're on week 19 of defect rectification brought on by a mixture of the clients abysmal testing and spec writing and the pain of debugging in Dynamics.
This project has left me emotionally and physically drained. I used to love where I worked and the guys I worked with but right now I'm the lowest I've felt in a long time.
I have autism and I really struggle with situations I have little control over, I also pride myself on being able to diagnose and fix problems quickly, I've been working on the same 2 bugs for the last 3 week's. I squashed one on Friday but this other one is persistent and I feel like it's killing me.
I've mentioned my low mood to my boss who could only say "It will be over soon". Well I was supposed to be transferred to a new none dynamics project in September, but yeah that didn't happen.
I really enjoy Angular and I've found this long project has caused my skills in it to rust to the point where even the most basic elements are a struggle.
I hate Dynamics and I hate the prospect of going in tomorrow and facing it again. -
Anyone have experience / opinions on Kafka? We currently don't have a messaging system like this, and I'm thinking it would be the best choice for things like providing webhooks because its persistent nature, instead of having a "synchronous" message queue that I push into and hope it gets handled. Might also want to store attempted webhook calls in a db but I don't know if that's overkill and could be done with just transforming messages (if they fail) and trying to handle them again.3

1) love solving puzzles. It’s like a neural network of all the problem solving I’ve ever done manifesting itself in a product/tool someone can actually use to solve Their problems.
2) pays more than I think I’m worth.
3) people immediately think I’m smarter than I am, I got low self esteem but I really feel if you can work hard enough, you can even the playing field with those that are naturally better at coding. I love feeling smart when really I was just persistent with solving a problem and worked hard at finding a solution -
"This module wraps around this genuinely awesome database and provides all the in-memory storing of the database so that nothing is persisted"
nice, just like I need it
Hudden truth:
"but in order to make it non-persistent you have to clear the database on every startup"
This shit cost me so much fucking time time, works needs it's sucked for every transaction, just for basic features not being implemented and performing even worse than standard choices because you can't leverage it's power for shit?
Fucking waste of time. I could have finished the Api with the standart module a long time ago, but I'm such and idiot and want to step outside my comfortzone too much.
I'm switxhing the fuxk back and maybe I get this done within 3 hours1 -
Okay, can anyone explain to me why this is the third time in a row that I have to re-disable "fast startup" after a windows-update?
I know, some of you might think that windows sucks, and I agree, to some extent, but I still want to be able to play my games there.
So, is there any rational explanation for the fact that windows seems to suffer from some kind of amnesia when it comes to settings? I don't believe it was either bad intent or complete incompetence from the developers...
Is it a certain design decision? Or is is that hard to implement "persistent" settings storage?3 -

I started looking into building my Android app but wanted to see if I could get a refresher on a few things. The starter template for the Nav Layout isn't exactly functional.
So first question is anyone know any resources like an actually functioning demo project.
Also I need DB access but want to open any db file given the *.db path and the DAO should be persistent, share across all fragments/activities. What would be the best design, way of doing that in Android though.
I don't think you can pass the object between activities but what about fragments. I'm thinking the main app opens the DB and then can pass a DAO Interface to all the fragments to use?2 -
silly me. i'd like to give linux a try at last but struggle already to create a persistent usb-system. failing at this point makes me wonder if it's worth to change and if i personally have any advantages. i might be too old for this thing. or too young...2

To put a tiny mechanical switch on the side of my phone that’ll turn of the Do Not Disturb mode. No, not buttons. Standard momentary buttons don’t have a persistent state. I need the state to be persistent even when the phone itself is turned off.
How hard can it be?
Too bad literally every android smartphone since the very first one has that switch, it’s like one of android’s iconic features, and crapple still can’t manage to do this. Clearly they cut on prices, I mean switch is more complicated than a momentary button.8 -
Been applying with a couple of colleges for a certificate course on data management and the admissions coordinator is being a complete fuck! Called and left a message to which he offered to arrange a phone call if I felt like I needed it (I didn't at the time) and so I politely ended that particular convo by saying "thank you and I'll be sure to send any questions your way" (I think a gesture of good faith considering he did offer a phone call).
I sent him a couple questions the day after asking politely application dates and then another the next day (he hadn't replied at that point, but I suppose it's better to show interest than not, especially since I'm entering into this with not - a - engineering /computer science background) about whether a campus tour is available and also about funding. And the guy just hasn't replied! It's been two full days now and I'm pretty sure that's not exactly kosher for a program coordinator to do. Like was I being too persistent with the emails (3 in total) instead of just waiting it out in the dark? (the issue is I'd need to wait until the next cohort so May of next year instead of January so I'm in a rush!)
It doesn't help that it turns out that the program coordinator is a professor at the college 🤔 so I think maybe he's got some big d*** issues1 -
IF YOU CAN TRACE BACK YOUR BITCOIN YOU CAN KEEK IT WITH= DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY
Investing in Bitcoin is often a high-stakes, high-reward endeavor. I invested CHF 30,000 into an online trading platform, optimistic about the potential returns. Initially, the investment seemed to be flourishing; within just a few weeks, its value climbed to CHF 39,000. The rapid increase was thrilling and felt like a validation of my decision. However, this initial euphoria soon gave way to frustration. I attempted to withdraw my profits, but each effort was thwarted by repeated blocks and obstructions from the platform. My attempts to access the funds were met with a series of difficulties, and it quickly became evident that something was seriously wrong. Realizing that I had likely fallen victim to a scam, I sought professional help. I contacted Digital Tech Guard Recovery, a firm known for its expertise in recovering lost or stolen cryptocurrency. SOUTHPOLE 5EYES HACKING AND RECOVERY SAVED MY LIFE (southpole5eyeshackingandrecoveringcompany.)com). My name is Jeff La Prova and I am from Milan, Italy. I want to share my story to help others who, like me, have suffered from a scam. A few years ago, I was the victim of a scam so devastating that it almost destroyed my life.
It all started with a young woman who claimed to be a soldier serving in Syria and Afghanistan. She seemed brave, honest, and compassionate. I trusted her. Over time, our bond grew and I fell deeply in love. So much so that I shared my Facebook password with her, thinking it was a gesture of trust. Little did I know that she would use this trust to take control of my account.
She convinced me to sell my house and send her all the money, promising me a new house, car, and a future together. For two years, I believed her promises, sacrificing everything I had. But one day, she vanished, like smoke in the wind. When I realized I had been scammed, I was devastated. My heart was broken, my finances were ruined, and my faith in humanity was completely gone. I was so bitter and broken that I couldn’t even look at women the same way anymore. I thought my life was over. Then, one day, I came across a review about Southpole 5Eyes Hacking and Recovery Company. I was skeptical at first. I had already been scammed once and the idea of trusting someone else seemed impossible. But something inside me told me to give them a chance. Desperation can take you to places you would never consider. I approached them hesitantly, not expecting much. But to my surprise, their team was professional, empathetic, and highly knowledgeable. They assured me that they could get my money back, and even though I was full of doubts, I decided to trust them. By the end of September, they kept their promise. They got a significant portion of my lost money back. Even though the scammer had already spent part of it, getting even half of it back was a miracle. Half a loaf is better than nothing, as they say. Today I am sharing my story to encourage others like me. If you have been scammed, do not lose hope. Contact Southpole 5Eyes Hacking and Recovery. They gave me my life back when I thought everything was lost. They are reliable, trustworthy and persistent in their mission to help victims of online scams. Be patient and believe in the process. I can assure you that they will fight for you. I am living proof that recovery is possible and because of them, I have started to rebuild my life. Don't let scammers win. Do as I did. CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY FIRM FOR HIRE - FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER
On Mother’s Day, I became a victim of a sophisticated cryptocurrency trading scam that initially promised HUGE returns but ultimately left me unable to access my funds. The ordeal began when an admin from a Telegram group, boasting 800 members, reached out to me. The group was filled with discussions about cryptocurrency trading strategies and success stories of members profiting from signals provided by the group's leaders. Captivated by their claims of high returns and the group's apparent transparency, I decided to join. The scammers presented a 30-day investment cycle, assuring me that I could withdraw my initial investment along with any profits at the end of the period. Trusting their assurances, I deposited $58,000 in USDT to their Bitcoin address. Everything seemed to be going well, and my account balance quickly soared to $800,000. However, things took a drastic turn when I attempted to withdraw my profits. I was informed that I couldn’t access my funds until I paid a supposed “tax” on my earnings. This tax requirement had never been mentioned during my initial investment discussions. When I pressed for clarification, I received vague responses and delays, making it clear that the scammers were stalling, hoping to extract more money from me. Despite my persistent efforts to reach out to them, the group disappeared, leaving me with no means of contact. It became painfully obvious that I had been scammed. Feeling lost and desperate, I began searching for ways to recover my lost funds. After extensive research, I came across FUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER, a service dedicated to helping victims of online scams. Their team was not only knowledgeable but also compassionate, guiding me through the recovery process step by step. I gathered the necessary documentation and details about my case. They worked tirelessly to trace my funds and liaised with financial institutions on my behalf. To my immense relief, they successfully helped me recover a significant portion of my funds. This taught me a crucial lesson about the importance of conducting thorough research regarding investment opportunities. I learned to be skeptical of promises that seemed too good to be true and to verify the legitimacy of any platform before investing. Thanks toFUNDS RETRIEVER ENGINEER, I was able to regain my financial stability and approach future investments with newfound caution. I now advocate for others to be informed, sharing my story to help prevent others from falling victim to similar scams.

It all began in the UK when I was in college in London, and I became the victim of a sophisticated online scam involving a fraudulent cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. The scammers initially appeared legitimate, offering enticing returns on investments that promised significant financial gains. Their professional-looking website, smooth talking, and apparent expertise in cryptocurrency trading led me to trust them. I deposited a substantial amount of money, hoping to capitalize on the promises they made. For a while, everything seemed fine, and I was encouraged by the apparent growth of my investment. However, my troubles began when I tried to withdraw €100,000 from my account. The scammers, who had now gained my trust, informed me that in order to process the withdrawal, I needed to pay a 5% tax to the UK Tax Bureau. They assured me that this was a standard procedure, and I would get my funds back soon after making the payment. Trusting them, I transferred €22,990 to cover the supposed tax fee. Once I sent the money, they claimed they were ready to process my withdrawal. But then, they raised a new demand. They told me that, because I was now a VIP member with over €200,000 in my account, I could only withdraw a minimum of €200,000. Despite my repeated requests to withdraw a smaller amount, they insisted I had no choice but to meet this threshold. Feeling cornered and desperate to access my funds, I transferred an additional €20,000, believing this would be the last step in unlocking my money. Yet, the demands didn’t stop there. They came back with another request, this time for €15,200 in "extra charges" to complete the transaction. Desperate to retrieve my money, I sent the amount, convinced that this would finally resolve the issue. But after I made the payment, everything went silent. The scammers ceased all communication, and I realized I had been scammed. My money was gone, and I felt utterly helpless and betrayed. Determined not to give up, I started searching online for solutions. After extensive research, I discovered a recovery service called Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven. Initially skeptical, I hesitated but ultimately decided to reach out to them. Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven was responsive right away, and they seemed genuinely dedicated to helping me recover my funds. They explained the recovery process and reassured me that they had a proven track record of dealing with scams like mine. Over the next few days, Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven kept me updated on their progress and made me feel supported every step of the way. The level of professionalism and expertise they demonstrated gave me hope. They were able to uncover crucial details about the scam and began the complex work of tracing my funds. Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven was persistent and thorough, consistently providing updates and guidance throughout the entire process. In the end, Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven was successful in recovering a significant portion of my lost funds. The process was lengthy, but their dedication and expertise made all the difference. Although I had lost a substantial amount of money, Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven helped me regain what I could, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend contacting Cranix Ethical Solutions Haven they truly are the experts when it comes to recovering funds from online scams.

Since I wouldn't mind administering legality myself, I wish I could challenge these deceitful individuals. I'm humbled by ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST and thank God for it as I reflect on what transpired. These deceitful individuals made no effort, rather they kept emptying my Bitcoin wallet. They forced me to invest even after I didn’t see any returns, and when I refused to do so any longer, their attention and persistent emails dwindled, which only increased my level of skepticism. I was in danger of losing my mental stability and health, and I am aware of how frightening and confusing it can be to try to escape a fraudulent investment. Living in New Zealand, I had always felt secure about my financial decisions. However, this investment turned out to be a nightmare I couldn't have anticipated. The emotional toll was immense. At first, I thought I had made a good decision by investing in what appeared to be a legitimate opportunity. However, the more I poured my money into it, the less I saw in return. The promises of high returns turned out to be nothing more than elaborate lies. With each passing day, my hope diminished, but the pressure from these fraudsters only increased. They pressured me to invest more, convincing me that the next payment would yield returns that would “make everything right.” It felt like a trap I could not escape, and it seemed like there was no way out. It was during one of these dark moments that I stumbled upon the ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. After doing some research, I found countless testimonials from people who had experienced similar situations and had managed to recover their funds through ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Is there a debug tool in Visual Studio that acts like a global HashMap<String, object> that you can add random objects to so that you can verify which objects are the same instance between breakpoints and view the state of an object that you had access to but is not in scope at a given breakpoint? I'm debugging a GUI app right now and it's an enormous pain in the ass to track identities, I resorted to adding random properties and statics to classes just so I can express this basic ass persistent debugger state5

Introduction to Vascular Health
Vascular health is essential for the proper functioning of the circulatory system, responsible for delivering oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. Healthy blood vessels help ensure effective blood flow, reducing the risk of chronic conditions like Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Venous Disease, and complications related to End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). When blood flow is restricted or obstructed due to vascular conditions, various organs can suffer, affecting overall health and quality of life.
Vascular Health
Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
What is Peripheral Arterial Disease?
Peripheral Arterial Disease is a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs. Primarily affecting the legs, PAD is usually a result of atherosclerosis, where fatty deposits build up on artery walls, obstructing blood flow.
Symptoms of PAD
Leg pain, cramping, or fatigue, particularly during walking or exercise
Numbness or weakness in the legs
Coldness in the lower leg or foot
Wounds on toes, feet, or legs that are slow to heal
Risk Factors and Prevention
Risk factors include smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity. Lifestyle changes like quitting smoking, maintaining a balanced diet, and regular exercise are crucial to preventing and managing PAD. Early diagnosis is key to reducing complications, which can include severe leg pain, limited mobility, and, in severe cases, amputation.
Treatment Options for PAD
PAD treatment options range from medication to manage blood flow to procedures like angioplasty and vascular surgery for severe cases. Lifestyle changes and consistent follow-up with healthcare providers are important for managing PAD and preventing further complications.
End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Dialysis
Understanding ESRD and Dialysis
End-Stage Renal Disease occurs when the kidneys lose most of their functional ability, requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant for survival. Dialysis helps eliminate waste, salt, and excess water to balance the body’s electrolytes, compensating for kidney function.
The Vascular Connection
Dialysis requires access to blood vessels, which often involves creating a fistula or graft, usually in the arm. Over time, these blood vessels can experience complications like narrowing, blockages, or infections, impacting both vascular and overall health. Monitoring and managing these issues is crucial for people undergoing dialysis to prevent severe complications.
Symptoms and Treatment
Symptoms of ESRD include fatigue, difficulty concentrating, swelling in the legs and ankles, and persistent nausea. ESRD patients must adhere to a strict treatment plan that includes dialysis, medication, and dietary changes. Managing vascular health is particularly critical for these patients due to the increased risk of vascular disease associated with kidney failure and dialysis.
Venous Disease
What is Venous Disease?
Venous Disease encompasses a range of conditions where veins, particularly in the legs, fail to function properly. Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) and varicose veins are two common types of venous disease, often resulting from faulty valves in the veins. When valves don’t close properly, blood pools in the legs, causing pain, swelling, and other symptoms.
Symptoms of Venous Disease
Swelling in the lower legs and ankles
Pain or a heavy feeling in the legs, especially after standing
Discoloration or thickening of the skin around the ankles
Visible varicose or spider veins
Risk Factors and Prevention
Risk factors include age, genetics, obesity, prolonged sitting or standing, and a sedentary lifestyle. Preventive measures include regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and wearing compression stockings for those at high risk.
Treatment Options for Venous Disease
Treatment ranges from lifestyle adjustments, compression therapy, and medications to minimally invasive procedures like sclerotherapy, laser therapy, or vein stripping for severe cases. Early diagnosis and intervention can improve symptoms and prevent complications like leg ulcers and blood clots. -

In the rapidly evolving world of trading, binary options have become a popular choice for many investors, promising high returns and straightforward strategies. Unfortunately, this simplicity has also made it a target for fraudulent schemes. Many traders have fallen victim to unscrupulous brokers who exploit their trust and manipulate their investments. If you’ve been scammed by a binary options broker, it’s crucial to act wisely and explore options for recovering your lost funds. One of the most pressing issues in the binary options market is the risk of encountering fraudulent brokers. These scammers use a variety of tactics to lure investors, such as offering attractive bonuses, promising unrealistic returns, and creating manipulated trading environments. Once they’ve gained your trust and secured your funds, they may implement strategies that prevent withdrawals or create obstacles requiring additional deposits before you can access your money. A new breed of scam has emerged in the USA, and unfortunately, I became one of its victims. I was drawn in by the allure of an online gambling platform that promised easy winnings and thrilling experiences. The site looked legitimate, and I was excited to deposit my cryptocurrency, specifically 4.5 BTC, believing I was making a smart investment. However, my excitement quickly turned to despair when I attempted to withdraw my winnings and found myself blocked at every turn. At first, I thought it was just a minor issue. The site provided a series of excuses, claiming technical difficulties and assuring me that my funds were safe. I kept telling myself that it was just a temporary setback, but as days turned into weeks, it became painfully clear that I had fallen victim to a scam. The site eventually shut down, leaving me with significant losses and no way to recover my hard-earned money. Feeling frustrated and desperate, I began searching for help. HIRE A PROFESSIONAL CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT RECOMMEND// PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY
The brimming opportunity of the cryptocurrency space is equally matched by its hidden perils, a reality I learned the hard way when a sophisticated fake crypto arbitrage bot swindled me out of $325,000 in USDT. Like many investors, I was enticed by the promise of 15% daily returns from what appeared to be a legitimate platform, complete with polished interfaces and glowing testimonials. At first, everything seemed above board. Small “returns” were deposited into my account regularly, building my trust in the system. But when I attempted to withdraw my supposed profits, the platform disappeared without a trace. I was left stunned, panicked, and unsure where to turn. That’s when I discovered PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY. Their expertise not only helped trace my stolen funds but also restored a measure of trust in the crypto world. The team moved swiftly, dissecting the scam’s infrastructure and tracking the fraudulent smart contract to an address cluster linked to Eastern European cybercriminals. With advanced blockchain analysis tools, they followed the trail of my USDT across a network of wallets and exchanges, pinpointing the cash-out points at major trading platforms. The most difficult part was stopping the scammers before they could fully liquidate the assets. Yet, PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY coordination with compliance teams at the exchanges proved critical. Within just a few days, 98% of my funds were immobilized, an extraordinary accomplishment considering how rapidly stolen crypto typically vanishes. This experience proved that victims are not entirely powerless. From an online crypto forum, someone called Crypto Maxx reached out to me. He introduced himself as a reputable OTC (over-the-counter) broker and claimed to work with private clients willing to pay above market rates for fast, it felt like an opportunity I couldn’t ignore. His profile looked authentic. It featured a history of market commentary, trade discussions, and apparent endorsements from other users praising his professionalism. He also referred me to a polished escrow website, complete with SSL certification, a live chat function, and glowing client testimonials. Everything about it looked legitimate. Losing $101,505 overnight felt like a gut wrenching blow. One moment, my financial future appeared stable; the next, it vanished into the ether. The platform I had trusted with my investments suddenly locked my account, citing vague “suspicious activity and then went silent. For days, I found myself trapped in a maze of automated emails, robotic chatbots, and unanswered phone calls. The so called customer service team offered nothing but scripted apologies, with no clear timeline for resolution. The weight of helplessness was overwhelming. How had I allowed this to happen? While this was harrowing, it transformed into a crucial lesson in financial vigilance. First and foremost, thorough research is essential. I had been seduced by polished marketing and enticing promises of guaranteed returns, neglecting to verify the platform’s legitimacy or investigate its leadership. A more in-depth examination would have unveiled warning signs: unregistered claims, a questionable operational history, and user reviews obscured by glowing testimonials. Secondly, if something appears too good to be true, it likely is. The platform’s pitch of consistent high returns with zero risk should have raised immediate red flags. My greed and urgency clouded my judgment, a mistake I am determined not to repeat.Most importantly, having access to responsive support is a necessity, not a luxury. When disaster struck, the lack of human assistance exacerbated the situation. Reputable institutions prioritize transparency and accountability qualities that were glaringly absent in this case.My path to recovery began with a referral to PYRAMID HACK SOLUTION, a firm specializing in Cryptocurrency asset recovery. Initially skeptical but desperate, I meticulously documented every transaction and communication, providing their team with the evidence. Their methodical approach included forensic audits, legal outreach, and persistent follow-ups with the platform’s payment processors. Remarkably, within weeks, they managed to recover 92% of my funds, a significant triumph given the circumstances.This ordeal has fundamentally altered my approach to financial decisions. I now cross-check companies against regulatory databases, explore independent review forums, and assess customer service responsiveness before investing a single dollar. Risk management is not paranoia; it’s a wise strategy.To anyone navigating the unpredictable realm of online finance: take a moment to pause, conduct thorough research, and prioritize actions over promises. And if disaster strikes, seek out specialists like PYRAMID HACK SOLUTION their recovery can make all the difference. CONTACT INFORMATIONS;

BITCOIN & CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY AGENCY / BOTNET CRYPTO RECOVERY
This entire experience has been nothing short of overwhelming and deeply frustrating for me. A little over a month ago, I made a substantial investment exceeding $172,000,00 USD through an online brokerage that was recommended to me by a family friend. Initially, the situation appeared to be encouraging, with my investments showing promising growth and progress. However, everything took a dramatic and distressing turn when I attempted to withdraw my funds.
Suddenly, and without any warning, the broker began to withhold my earnings. To my shock, they insisted that I pay a hefty "membership fee" of $20,000 in order to have my account unfrozen, despite the fact that I had already fulfilled all of their stated requirements. When I sought clarification and questioned their sudden demand, they responded by insisting on additional payments, without providing any clear explanation or justification for their actions.
The situation escalated further when they began pressuring me to disclose the source of the funds I had invested. This demand made no sense to me; it had no relevance to my account or the transactions I had made. When I refused to comply with their intrusive request, they resorted to threats, warning me that they would blacklist me, citing that I allegedly still owed them money—despite my having paid every fee they had required.

I still remember the pit in my stomach when I realized I’d been scammed. Months of careful saving, research, and planning vanished in an instant along with my Bitcoin, It started innocently enough. I was introduced to what seemed like a reputable cryptocurrency trading platform via social media. The website was polished, the support team was responsive, and their experts guided me every step of the way. Then, the platform vanished overnight. My wallet emptied. My Bitcoin Gone. I was devastated. My bank couldn’t help, they said it was outside their jurisdiction. Law enforcement was sympathetic but slow-moving. I began to accept the bitter truth that I had been defrauded. Then I came across Dexdert Net Recovery while researching online recovery services. At first, I was skeptical after all, hadn’t I just been scammed , I was desperate, From the beginning, Dexdert’s Net Recovery approach was different. They didn’t promise miracles or instant results. Instead, they provided a transparent breakdown of their investigative process. They explained how they use blockchain forensics, deep-web tracking tools, and a global network of legal and cybersecurity experts to trace stolen digital assets. They asked for every detail: wallet addresses, transaction IDs, email trails, and screenshots of conversations with the scammers. Within a few days, they traced the Bitcoin I had transferred. It had been split and rerouted through multiple wallets in classic laundering techniques. After several weeks of persistent efforts, negotiations, and verification, I received the email I never thought I would see. We've recovered your assets. And sure enough, my Bitcoin had been returned to a secure wallet under my control. It wasn’t just about the money. It was about justice. About reclaiming what was mine. If you’ve been a victim of crypto fraud, don’t suffer in silence. There are professionals out there who can help. For me, that was Dexdert. And they gave me a second chance.

I am a developer, and coding is my world. But when it comes to, say, the "life" part of life skills? Not so much. After a grueling 72-hour coding marathon, fueled by nothing but caffeine and questionable decisions, I made a mistake I now regret on a cosmic level: I spilled coffee on my external hard drive, the very drive that stored access to my digital wallet, holding a significant sum. At first, I told myself it wasn't that bad; surely a little splash wouldn't be a big deal, right? With confidence in my tech skills, I turned to the internet for answers. One search result boldly asked: "Can you dry a hard drive in the microwave?" Spoiler alert: absolutely not. Don’t try this under any circumstance. I’m lucky I didn’t end up with melted plastic or worse. After my solo data recovery efforts failed catastrophically, panic set in. This wasn't just lost files, this was years of effort, wiped in a moment. That’s when I found Digital Resolution Services. Desperate and admittedly a bit embarrassed, I reached out, hoping for a miracle. From the moment they answered, I could tell I was in capable hands. The team was calm, professional, and reassuring, never once mocking my questionable DIY methods (which, looking back, I probably deserved). Instead, they got straight to work, applying specialized tools and expertise to my situation. The process wasn’t easy. It involved long nights, constant updates, and a rollercoaster of emotions. But Digital Resolution Services never gave up. They stayed committed, persistent, and focused every step of the way. When they finally restored access to my wallet, I was overwhelmed with relief not just because the funds were safe, but because I could finally sleep without stress. That experience taught me something valuable: sometimes, it’s not about being the expert in everything, it's about knowing when to trust the right ones. Now, I keep my coffee and hard drive far apart. And every time I take a sip of that morning brew, I remember: if your data matters, don’t gamble, reach out to professionals like Digital Resolution Services.
