I hired a woman for senior quality assurance two weeks ago. Impressive resume, great interview, but I was met with some pseudo-sexist puzzled looks in the dev team.
Meeting today. Boss: "Why is the database cluster not working properly?"
Team devs: "We've tried diagnosing the problem, but we can't really find it. It keeps being under high load."
New QA: "It might have something to do with the way you developers write queries".
She pulls up a bunch of code examples with dozens of joins and orderings on unindexed columns, explains that you shouldn't call queries from within looping constructs, that it's smart to limit the data with constraints and aggregations, hints at where to actually place indexes, how not to drag the whole DB to the frontend and process it in VueJS, etc...
New QA: "I've already put the tasks for refactoring the queries in Asana"
I'm grinning, because finally... finally I'm not alone in my crusade anymore.
Boss: "Yeah but that's just that code quality nonsense Bittersweet always keeps nagging about. Why is the database not working? Can't we just add more thingies to the cluster? That would be easier than rewriting the code, right?"
Dev team: "Yes... yes. We could try a few more of these aws rds db.m4.10xlarge thingies. That will solve it."
QA looks pissed off, stands up: "No. These queries... they touch the database in so many places, and so violently, that it has to go to therapy. That's why it's down. It just can't take the abuse anymore. You could add more little brothers and sisters to the equation, but damn that would be cruel right? Not to mention that therapy isn't exactly cheap!"
Dev team looks annoyed at me. My boss looks even more annoyed at me. "You hired this one?"
I keep grinning, and I nod.
"I might have offered her a permanent contract"45 -
As a developer, sometimes you hammer away on some useless solo side project for a few weeks. Maybe a small game, a web interface for your home-built storage server, or an app to turn your living room lights on an off.
I often see these posts and graphs here about motivation, about a desire to conceive perfection. You want to create a self-hosted Spotify clone "but better", or you set out to make the best todo app for iOS ever written.
These rants and memes often highlight how you start with this incredible drive, how your code is perfectly clean when you begin. Then it all oscillates between states of panic and surprise, sweat, tears and euphoria, an end in a disillusioned stare at the tangled mess you created, to gather dust forever in some private repository.
Writing a physics engine from scratch was harder than you expected. You needed a lot of ugly code to get your admin panel working in Safari. Some other shiny idea came along, and you decided to bite, even though you feel a burning guilt about the ever growing pile of unfinished failures.
All I want to say is:
No time was lost.
This is how senior developers are born. You strengthen your brain, the calluses on your mind provide you with perseverance to solve problems. Even if (no, *especially* if) you gave up on your project.
Eventually, giving up is good, it's a sign of wisdom an flexibility to focus on the broader domain again.
One of the things I love about failures is how varied they tend to be, how they force you to start seeing overarching patterns.
You don't notice the things you take back from your failures, they slip back sticking to you, undetected.
You get intuitions for strengths and weaknesses in patterns. Whenever you're matching two sparse ordered indexed lists, there's this corner of your brain lighting up on how to do it efficiently. You realize it's not the ORMs which suck, it's the fundamental object-relational impedance mismatch existing in all languages which causes problems, and you feel your fingers tingling whenever you encounter its effects in the future, ready to dive in ever so slightly deeper.
You notice you can suddenly solve completely abstract data problems using the pathfinding logic from your failed game. You realize you can use vector calculations from your physics engine to compare similarities in psychological behavior. You never understood trigonometry in high school, but while building a a deficient robotic Arduino abomination it suddenly started making sense.
You're building intuitions, continuously. These intuitions are grooves which become deeper each time you encounter fundamental patterns. The more variation in environments and topics you expose yourself to, the more permanent these associations become.
Failure is inconsequential, failure even deserves respect, failure builds intuition about patterns. Every single epiphany about similarity in patterns is an incredible victory.
Please, for the love of code...

So my school got invited to this coding competition for high-schoolers and among them, I was a part member and part mentor along side our CS professor since I was the most proficient coding stuff (although most of I do were JS and Python stuff although i can read other code)
Then this guy showed up.
He was picked by the faculty to take the WebDev competition. He knows how to use Photoshop for Photo retouchings and stuff but here's a problem.
He can't code nor make a proper website design.
So being the kind person I am, I volunteered to teach him what I know about frontend and HTML. This goes on for 4 weeks of nonstop practices, coding sessions and finally, Code In The Dark-style practice (which involves the person to code a full website for only 15 minutes).
When he was able to finish and mastered some of what I taught. I gave him the go signal and we were on to the road to victory.
Unfortunately our first try, we won nothing.
He said after the competition "I give up man, I can't take this!" but I said, "Just because you lost a f*cking competition once, doesn't mean you're a motherf*cking loser in life. There's still one more chance."
So I pressured our WebDev guy to be more better, taught him about mockups, JavaScript and etc.
Then the second attempt a year later, me and the WebDev guy won and moved on the finals. However, he didn't win the finals and I was the lone champion reprsenting our school.
Although he didn't win, he was happy I carried the torch and win the prize.
Prior to that, he asked me "Hey, how to be like you?"
I only answered, "Achievements are just gold with cloth and paper. Wear it lightly".
Fast forward to today, he's now the school's head design coordinator and layout designer for their newspaper column. He also practices his coding skills by frequenting on our coding sessions even when the competition was over.
But whenever someone asks "who taught you this?" he would only look to me, smile and say "that person right there".7 -
bitchface micromanager keeps telling me i don't communicate enough, don't do enough, am not fast enough, etc.
So i've been sending her a weekly summary of ~50 bullet points of things I did during the week, issues encountered, workarounds found, research findings, who i talked to, etc. all organized by task with links to the tickets.
My work volume hasn't increased (probably decreased, actually) but it certainly looks like I'm doing a lot. probably because i am? but she doesn't listen during standup, so... victory by a hundred bullet points it is!28 -
I ended a 15 year friendship after realizing I've been used as an ego-boosting distraction, rather than a friend. I was sad at first, but then this program I wrote ran perfectly on the first try. 🕺4

Me: "Delete this folder"
Windows: "Oki, done."
Me: "How is it still there, F5. Still there! Hey, you forgot to delete this one file. Fix it."
Windows: "Nope."
Me: "Why?"
Windows: "Requires permissions."
Me: "Eh, it was my file, but here you are, my admin credentials."
Windows: "None shall pass."
Me: "Wtf, this is my computer. Who owns this file?"
Windows: "No one."
Me: "What do you mean? Oh, time for your reboot pills, ms. Wandows."
Windows: "Noooooo... ... ... Welcome."
Me: "Ha, the file is gone. Glorious victory."
Windows: "It's just a flash wound."

Victory!
Today I finally closed a 'Nessy' bug (A scary bug you can't reproduce typically only sighted by one person). Below is my response...
"There were no errors in the error logs because writing to the error log was causing the error."
5 -
Please. Hear me out.
I've been doing frontend for six years already. I've been a junior dev, then in was all up to the CTO. I've worked for very small companies. Also, for the very large ones. Then, for huge enterprises. And also for startups. I've been developing for IE5.5, just for fun. I've done all kinds of stuff — accessibility, responsive design (with or without breakpoints), web components, workers, PWA, I've used frameworks from Backbone to React. My favourite language is CSS, and you probably know it. The bottom line is, you name it — I did it.
And, I want to say that Safari is a very good browser.
It's very fast. Especially on M1 Macs. Yes, it lacks customization and flexibility of Firefox, but general people, not developers, like to use it. Also, Safari is very important — Apple is a huge opposing force to Google when it comes to web standards. When Google pushes their BS like banning ad blockers, Apple never moves an inch. If we lose Safari, you'll notice.
As for the Safari-specific bugs situation, well… To me, Safari serves as a very good indicator: if your website breaks in Safari, chances are you used some hacks that are no good. Safari is a good litmus test I use to find the parts of my code that could've been better.
The only Safari-specific BUG I encountered was a blurry black segment in linear gradients that go from opaque to transparent. So, instead of linear-gradient(#f00, transparent), just do linear-gradient(#f00f, #f000).
This is the ONLY bug I encountered. Every single time my website broke in Safari other than that, was for some ugly hack I used.
You don't have to love it. I don't even use it, my browser of choice is Firefox. But, I'm grateful to Safari, just because it exists. Why? Well, if Safari ceases to exist, Google will just leave both W3C and WhatWG, and declare they'll be doing things their way from now on. Obey or die.
Firefox alone is just not big enough. But, together with Safari, they oppose Google's tyranny in web standards game.
Google will declare the victory and will turn the web into an authoritarian dictatorship. No ad blockers will be allowed. You won't be able to block Google's trackers. Google already owns the internet, well, almost, and this will be their final, devastating victory.
But Safari is the atlas that keeps the web from destruction.22 -

The project tech lead asks me to add some Docker configuration files sent by the client to a project. He gives me a zip file and I unzip it and add the files to Git. Job done.
Later he checks the commit and starts bitching because I unzipped the file and it should have been added as a zip. After much debate trying to explain to him that Docker wouldn't open the zip file to search for the Dockerfile he just says "Can you just do it? I double checked with the client!". I give up after giving him all the arguments why he is wrong and do it.
The next day the client checks the commit and comments bitching that I included the zip file and not the contents of it.4 -
Today was the first time I was able to develop a full stack by my self!!!!
(I mean not by myself, StackOverflow was my Bible)
It's a small project with three modules , and while I've worked front end, back end and machine learning separately, I used to develop on a single component.
Today I built all the components on my own.
The hardest part was linking the nodejs file with the python script. Which seemed easy at first but then I needed to go through the documentation to understand the working behind the scenes.
Just looking how to deploy it now
This is a victory rant.
While it is not something big I feel so proud of myself 🥰1 -
Got a new job in a new team.
Someone had to learn that software. I said I could.
I was punched by old team most of the time because they did not want to transfer the ownership to us, they had to and I had to learn that
Software.
I made it, worked hard to automate daily stuffs.
Described each victory in my year review with manager.
Each thank you, I poked my Manager to promote me if she thinks I deserve.
I got promoted a year later.1 -

Another small story about my "teacher".
Today we got told again that we need to develop a personal programming style. I asked him how we were supposed to do that while being restricted by his demands. He tried to justify this with bullshit about how to not declare variables. As i told him that wasn't my point at all he stuttered and couldn't say anything. I got officially allowed to use everything i want! VICTORY SCREECH
(But restricting students on which commands they are allowed to use is still bullshit imho)5 -
Slowly getting better with RegEx problems! Warning, lots of non-computer linguistic geekiness ahead.
Been working on some functions recently to replicate the furigana (Chinese character annotation) functions available over at JP.SE in PHP for a project.
Managed to get the basic cases down fairly quick:
[Chinese character][reading] => <ruby><rb>Chinese Character</rb><rt>Reading</rt></ruby>
However I realized this evening that there are patterns where this repeats twice for one word, such as the following:
[Chinese Character][helper Japanese character(s)][Chinese Character][possibly optional word ending][reading for the whole thing]
Managed to get it working for both cases initially, but then I found out that adding a Japanese character to either of my test strings (see graphic) would cause the annotations to fall grossly out of sync. The next two hours disappeared pretty fast before discovering that the issue was that I was removing the wrong string length from the annotation string, and just happened to luck out with a test case where it worked the first time.
Probably going to do a code review of it with the intern next time he's in. One of the things I've been stressing to him lately is that however easy a task may be for a human, there are all kinds of extra things that need to be tracked in order for a computer to be able to follow your logic.

This day I have received the most glorious news in e-pistolary form. For some years, I was suffering in support of a client who was, well, insufferable. My presence there paralleled the divine comedy in both essence and fact.
I opened the missive, expecting another plea to bail them out of whatever clusterfuck they found themselves in. Instead, what I found was something truly magical.
"Hey Human,
I hope this finds you well. I'm not sure if you remember a few years back, we were trying to decide between IBM Cloud and AWS. Well, after years of battling FF*, we're finally moving ahead with AWS. He failed one too many times to deliver anything visibly. After you left, there was no one left he could use to steal credit, ideas, and work.
FF is still pushing to have them use IBM cloud as a "warm backup" in the event "AWS fails." We will see where that goes.
I figured you'd like to know; you were the void in the wilderness for a long time. I don't want to think about how much time we could have saved if we had just listened.
PeeEm**"
This event represents a personal victory, albeit belated, over a few peoples' absurd amount of privilege. Towards the end, I was vicious about my contestation to the insanity of adopting a desperate hedge attempt-as-cloud offering from a failing company. Some examples:
// cloud 'strategy meeting'
Moi: What cloud platform are we looking at using?
FF: We're looking at IBM cloud and AWS as a second.
Moi: Why is that? I understand you're obligated to rep your offering first, but that decision doesn't seem to have the customer's best interest at heart.
FF: IBM cloud is a market leader; AWS isn't as good.
Moi: I see. I mean, that's the tech equivalent of the company's fleet management considering monkeys on tricycles as a strong competitor to service trucks, but I get what you mean.
// steering meeting
Director: Who can we look to as an example? Who is currently using the IBM cloud?
Moi: No one; they account for a single-digit portion of the actual cloud market. Their long game to sell you a "Hybrid Cloud," which means put some front end payload in a CDN, and buy n-frame units of IBM z servers for the DC with IBM gateway appliances acting as connective tissue. So it's not the cloud at all, really.
Director: How does it compare in cost?
Moi: It's generally 40% more expensive than other clouds, and it only goes higher as you option their software.
Director: What about Watson? I hear Watson is good?
Moi: It's a brand name. Most of the "Watson" product is just a facade on top of FOSS products like Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, etc.
Director: Those were words. They sounded good. FF say it's good tho so we'll believe him because we're from the same city.
Moi: *deletes Director from LinkedIn*
Moral of the story: Never trust a vendor that only recommends their products.
*FF = FatFuck - an embarrassingly rotund individual whose girth is roughly equivalent to his height. He shit his way into an IBM architect position in his mid-20s purely due to winning the visa lottery. He had fake hair glued to his head for his wedding to hide his male pattern baldness; his arrange-married wife undoubtedly cries herself to sleep after sex.

Me and my friend were having a coffee in a coffee shop and then she told me the story of how she got fired.
So back then storing data on cloud was not that convenient and employees in her company used to carry softwares and other stuff in pendrives.
This one day after completing a MAJOR project for a very irritating client, my friend and her team decided to take the day off and celebrate this victory in a pub.
She got drunk and then came the call of her boss saying that they needed to showcase the software right then to the client.
Being always responsible and committed to her work my friend had decided to keep a backup in her pendrive which she kept in her breast pocket of her shirt.
So she goes into the washroom to freshen up, bends down near the toilet to vomit out liquor and lo!
The pendrive slid all the way down from her pocket into the toilet sink.
She didn't notice and flushed and down went the whole project into the sewer.
Moral - life fucks you in ridiculous ways.
Ps. She left her laptop at her home which was very far from her office and the pub. The team had to go to her home first to retain the project and eventually got seriously late. Boss didn't like it as the client was a real pain in the ass and this was a big project too and being the team lead my friend was supposed to deliver as expected.
She got fired.1 -
I'M A SENIOR DEVELOPER NOT A BUSINESS ANALYST...
IF YOU GIVE ME SOME CRAPPY LEGACY CODE THAT SOMEONE RANDOMLY DECIDED TO USE, THE ONLY WAY I CAN UNDERSTAND IT IS BY RUNNING IT AND REVERSE ENGINEERING THE "BUSINESS LOGIC".
ADD THAT WITH BAD INPUTS... THE ONLY THING YOUR DOING IS WASTING MY TIME..
JUST BURN THE WHOLE THING AND GIVE ME THE REQUIREMENTS OF WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT....
It feels like I've been fucking a pig all week...
Oh and now my team agrees and will look to get the actual requirements from the business...
This feels like a hallow victory.... As that was the first thing I told them to do.... -
Not a dev!rant,/but certainly a rant. Long post ahead.
First of all I MISSED YOU ALL
Had my fair issues of shit these months. And for that, FUCK EVERYTHING. End of rant for now. I am still managing somehow to do - slowly as fuck, but who cares at this point - like finally going to uni, finding a psychologist and not a psycho, unraveling a fuckton of previous trauma (hi abuse) and ~drums~ buying my new desktop! Not exactly a nasa server but a middish level workstation/gaming place. I am shopping right now. The previous days have been shaky with all the flashback business and emotional rollercoaster of death, but I feel like going the right way somehow. Is it true? Who knows! But after enduring several issues of suicide planning and luckily only one serious-bugged attempt epically hilariously failed, the slightest hope is a victory. I like p2p, so feel free to torrent and seed this little joy. If it is mine it can be yours. Take it!
Also, you know how much autistic I am, but I'd really like to make some friends. I make attempts but honestly I am awkward errrr.... I don't know how many dude/ttes I can count on. For friend I mean simply someone that honestly likes me somehow, is loyal, and has interest in sharing they like to do or think! (And if they want to give me tips on security/sysadmin/dev stuff, even better, but not required obviously).
Also, I may have some projects in mind. Will publish in the projects section when the roughest idea is finished.
Maybe I deserve an updoot. In real life.
(Which is also here....)

I am as sure as I am of anything that the software I am working in is sentient and pulling the long con on me to kill me over the course of my career via stress. Joke's on it though. With the amount of drinking I do to cope with the stress I will die of alcoholism way before I die of stress. Take that. Victory is mine.1

Hopefully, you already know that the company controlled by the alledged reptiloid subhuman and olimpic testicle juggler formerly known as Mister Zuck My Tits is not to be trusted.
But as is always the case in this bitch, I've been forced into cowjizz flooded swamps' worth of stinking shit platforms for the sake of avoiding isolation.
And so, I've just found yet another way in which Facebook **THUNDERSTRIKE** ... the company, not the geriatric ward, is one of the CROWN ACHIEVEMENTS of human civilization.
Let me tell you something: some people are fucking broke. Hell, some people sleep on the streets, live on scraps, and willingly engage in acts of public defecation when provoked. But I'm not even talking about them no, just plain *broke*.
And so imagine being that guy who doesn't really use his phone much, except maybe for sharing cat pictures with mom because that's what being an absolute chad is all about. You don't get a new phone, because money is a __little__ bit tight. But THEN...
The dreaded CAPITAL strikes, and requests of you to bend and fall onto your knees so as to provide intense, intimate and manual -- as well as oral -- PLEASURE to the [NOT SO] METAPHORICAL PENIS of the """SYSTEM""".
Oh, what an abominable, drooooooling revenant that lies before you!
"Gimme your ass... " he says, menacingly, as you wail about in a futile attempt to guard and preserve the very last vestiges of your own anal virginity.
And so you fight, and kick him in the NADS with everything you have, down to the final shreds of vigor. Victory! Or so you thought...
"You must... " he mutters, mortally wounded "update WhatsApp... "
"Still you breathe?!" you exclaim, suddenly transformed into a heroic, sexy moustachoed arquebusier "After I'm done ~OILING~ my VICTORIOUS CHEST, I *shall* bestow DEATH uppon you!".
But as you rip open your shirt to apply sensual oiling to your marvellous frontal assets, your nemesis reveals it's portentous Portugal: "this new version of Android... " he gasps as he perishes "is incompatible with your device... "
"Ughh! Sacrebleu!" you shriek out in pain, realizing that you are now unable to ACCESS THE FUCKING DATA THAT IS IN YOUR OWN FUCKING HARDWARE BECAUSE OF A STUPID FORCED BINARY INCOMPATIBILITY.
That's right. Now even if I *do* get a new phone, I can't do shit about losing all of the family memes. And contacts and all of that shit, but the stickers are more important. A minor inconvenience, yes, and it didn't need all of this preamble but I was doing the dramatic fight scene bit inside my head as I was writing and I got into it.
Because the only documented way to transfer all of that data is to OPEN THE APPLICATION and scan some code, but everytime I go to do that, IT TELLS ME I NEED TO UPDATE. And every time I GO TO UPDATE, it says that MY PHONE is TOO FUCKING OLD!! AAAAAAAGHGHGHGHGHGHGHG!!!!
And you too, might be a dashing french man from centuries past, with both balls and tits down to your fucking knees, folding your arms in a position that exhumes smugness in a disgustingly irreverent and self-aggrandizing way, looking at me as a mere plebeian who cannot wrap his head around the mystical art of interacting with Google's black deuce box.
And you would be somewhat right in your judgement! But just having to fiddle about with these fucking pocket Elmo screens is such a traumatic experience for me that I'd rather lose my stickers.

Epic code fight broke out today when one developer fronted himself for leader due to having beat all the metrics by a factor of ten. Claimed he could replace the entire department based on LOC alone.
Another developer told him to fucking zip it.
After almost coming to blows someone managed to explain to him that he had to put his code into a compressed archive.
As it compressed to ten times smaller than the next smallest contribution he declared victory because his compressed better. Another developer joked better call bomb squad.5 -

WARS
Story:
Many users in devRant use Windows but then the "Arch Linux Alliance" short ALA came together to invade devRant. After some weeks, the small group FedB ("Fedora Bureau") also joined the OS Wars. When the release of Ubuntu 16.10 was near the UBO ("UbuntuBestOS Alliance") joined and was near to victory, because dpkg was faster than ever before. But then the macOS Defenders woke up. They finally finished the upgrade to Sierra and tried to fight the other OSes. They wanted to attack with their package manager, but that attack failed. After days of war Windows crashed while updating, which made it unoperational. They called it Blue Screen. After windows gave up, the other groups realized, that they are all built with the same base. They called it Unix. They grouped up (except macOS, because they just want to make money) and discovered the remains of Windows. They found a software named "Ubuntu bash for Windows". Everyone in the group was angry, because UBO teamed up with Windows. They destroyed UBO and continued.
To be continued.
Should it continue? Comments...4 -
I NEED A HACKER TO RECOVER MY STOLEN BITCOIN BACK HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
I couldn't help but feel grateful for the role that ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST had played in my success. Without their help, I might have given up on cryptocurrency investment altogether. My journey began in a time when Bitcoin was surging, and I found myself caught up in the excitement. I invested a significant portion of my savings, driven by the allure of quick riches. Yet, not long after, the market crashed. I watched helplessly as my investments dwindled to a fraction of their value. Panic set in. I scoured forums and watched endless videos, but the more I learned, the more confused I became. Every missed opportunity weighed heavily on my shoulders. Just when I thought all hope was lost, I stumbled upon ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Their website was sleek and inviting, promising to help investors like me navigate the tumultuous waters of cryptocurrency. Skeptical but desperate, I decided to give it a chance. The first conversation I had with one of their experts was a breath of fresh air. They spoke with an infectious enthusiasm and a depth of knowledge that reassured me I was in the right hands. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST dissected my financial situation and the decisions I had made. They transformed my fears into actionable insights. Instead of disappearing into the shadows of defeat, they showed me how to harness the chaos of the market. It wasn't just about recouping my losses; it was about strategizing for the future. With their guidance, I learned to analyze market trends, understand risk management, and spot emerging opportunities. I dove deeper into blockchain technology, and I even picked up coding to better grasp the systems behind the currencies I was investing in. They provided tools and resources I had never considered before, turning me from a mere investor into an informed participant in the crypto space. As I watched the market begin to stabilize, I made calculated moves that surprised even me. What began as a recovery plan morphed into a thriving portfolio. I diversified my investments, explored altcoins, and engaged with communities of like-minded enthusiasts. Each small victory built my confidence, and soon I was easily navigating trades that once seemed daunting. The turning point came when a new cryptocurrency project emerged on the scene, promising revolutionary applications for smart contracts. Armed with the knowledge from ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, I recognized its potential before it exploded in popularity. I seized the moment and invested strategically, leading to returns that far exceeded my previous losses. In the quiet evenings, while watching the markets fluctuate, I often reflected on how far I had come. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST had not only restored my confidence but also equipped me with knowledge that transformed my life. I was no longer just a victim of a crash but a proactive player in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Wait no more, call: for help.119 -
So just babbling my shit down here.
(Tldr : i am a crazy guy who followed my half slept brain, went onto a stage , gave some kind of motivating , stammering talk to a large group of professional strangers, enjoyed that day with a red embarrassed face and just got my first pic of me speaking on stage and that is so awesome !)
Last Saturday i went to a gdg meetup and i embarrassed the hell out of me.
I went there with just 2 hours of sleep from the previous night.
After a few talks there comes a guy who is taking some time to install is setup and the host calls for lightning round session ( ie he asks if anyone from the audience would like to share something about their product or something).
I am a fucking nutt guy. I can explain something to you nicely in a hacky way as long as i have done enough work on that and you speak my native language.
But giving a talk on English stage, hell no! I stammer, mix hindi with English and start speaking werd shit.. And that's what happened.
I don't know what went into me but as some guy went to the stage and talked for 2 mins, i was like yeah i want to do that too. So in next turn when he asked for a show of hands, i raised mine and fucking went to stage!
I forgot that if you go on stage you should have something to talk to . But the moment i was on stage, i was like... "Nope, we will do this differently".
I had been working on a video ads module from the last week which could be easily explained in 2 mins. But i felt like giving a non techy talk instead.
It went something like this: i introduced myself with my experience details ( who gives experience details on stage !?!) Then host said to speak loudly and i went like "Bharat mata ki jai!"( Victory to mother india (wtf!?😆) .
Then started talking about how the developers feel disheartened when searching on internet where the resources are scattered . And the solution i told them was :"don't be disheartened. You will eventually find it (like wow dude wtf, as if they didn't knew that) . Look on the youtube and other resources " and then went full on explaining/marketing about some online tutor who gives advice/consultancy via a subscription based payment ( tbf that guy really helped solve a lot of my doubts, he has written books on Android dev and is the top so answerer for Android).
Then i went on sharing my thoughts live on that fuckin stage ! ( Live because i usually post my thoughts here on devrant before discussing them out with real people, you guys are my safe space) but there i discussed my thoughts on libraries!
I have this believe that Android devs these days are having lesser knowledge of the system because we have all the libraries and templates available to us. But when we have to customize stuff, we need to go deep into docs and source classes and find ourselves in trouble there. So i kind of said this out loud and that we should try to read more the code and implement stuff ourselves instead of using the library 😅🙈)
I was feeling so fucking embarrassing after that all stuff! It was so full of stammering , broken English and worst attempt at motivation. At that time i was regretting this and about to burst cry and run away, but somehow i gathered my self, got my mood back to the event games and talks, later went to the organizers and apologized(and they were very nice and didn't cared about it), and overall enjoyed my weirdest day!
When i came home, my mom gave me a little more confidence about it. Now i think i shouldn't be that much instinctive. Next day i went hack to work and everything got normal.
But Yesterday i found a link to the public repository of the photos. Ohh fuck, someone had took my image! and that was too in full hd!!! 🙈🙈🙈😅😆😆 Oh mann I can't stop looking at that cool stage speaker image, i love it ! I, the shy-est and the most uncool awkward person , present on the stage with a mike, oof , i think i lived my dream !
I hope i could get enough confidence and speaking skills to take a real stage talk next time ( and maybe enough interesting talks and confidence to talk with girls of our office, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )5 -
Today, I have installed/uninstalled a combination of [windows 7, arch linux, dual-boot] a total of 9 times...
I wouldn't be surprised if my 120G SSD fails next week
It all started when I had to whip up a GUI-wrapped youtube-dl based program for a windows machine.
Thinking a handy GUI python library will get it done in no time, I started right away with the Kivy quick-start page in front of me.
Everything seemed to be going fine, until I decided it would be "wise" to first check if I can run Kivy on said windows machine.
Here I spent what felt like a day (5 hours) trying to install core pip modules for kivy.. only before realizing my innocent cygwin64 setup was the reason everything was failing, and that sys.platform was NOT set to "win32" (a requirement later discovered when unpacking .whl files)
"Okay.. you know what? Fuck........ This."
In a haze of frustration, I decided it was my fault for ever deciding to do Python on windows, and that "none of this would've happened if I were installing pip modules on a Linux terminal"...
I then had the "brilliant" idea of "Why don't I just use Linux, and make windows a virtual machine within, for testing."
And so I spent the next hour getting everything set up correctly for me get back to programming.... And so I did.
But uh... you're doing GUI stuff, right? -> Yeah...
And you uh.. Kivy uses OpenGL on windows, doesn't it? -> Yeah..?
OpenGL... 2.
-> Fuck.
That's when I realized my "brilliant" idea, was actually a really bad prank. Turns out.. I needed a native windows environment with up-to-date non-virtual graphics drivers that supported at least OpenGL2 for Kivy GUI programs!
Something I already had from square 1.
And at this point, it hurts to even sigh knowing I wasted hours just... making... poor decisions, my very first one being cygwin64 as a substitution for windows cmd.
But persistent as any programmer should be in order to succeed, I dragged my sorry ass back to the computer to reinstall windows on the actual hardware... again.
While the windows installer was busy jacking off all over my precious gigabytes (why does it need that much spaaace for a base install??? fuck.). I had "yet another brilliant idea" YABI™
Why not just do a dual-boot? That way, you have the best of both worlds, you do python stuff in Linux, and when it's time to build and test on the target OS, you have a native windows environment!
This synthetic harmony sounded amazing to the desperate, exhausted, shell of a man that I had become after such a back-breaking experience with cygwin
Now that my windows platter with a side of linux was all set-up and ready-to-go, I once again booted up windows to test if Kivy even worked.
And... It did!
And just as I began raising my victory flags, I suddenly realized there was one more thing I had to do, something trivial, should take me "no time" to do, being in a native windows environment and all.................... -.- (sigh)
I had to make sure it compiles to a traditional exe...
Not a biggy, right? Just find one of those py2exe—sounding modules or something, and surprisingly enough, there was indeed a py2exe—sounding module, conveniently named... py2exe.
Not a second thought given, I thought surely this was a good enough way of doing it, just gonna look up the py2exe guide and...
-> 3 hours later + 1 extra coffee
What do you meeeeean "module not found"? Do I need to install more dependencies? Why doesn't it say so in the DAMN guide? Wait I don't? Why are you showing me that error message then????
-------------------------------
No. I'm not doing this.
I shut off my computer and took a long... long.. break.
Only to return sometime the next day and end up making no progress, beating my SSD with more OS installs (sometimes with no obvious reason to do so).
Wondering whether I should give up Kivy itself as it didn't seem compatible with py2exe.. I discovered pyInstaller, which seemed to be the way Kivy wants exe's to be made on windows..
Awesome! I should've looked up how Kivy developers make exe's instead of jumping straight into py2exe land, (I guess "py2exe" just sounded more effective to me then)
More hours pass, and you'd think I'd have eliminated all of my build environment problems by now... but oh, how wrong you'd be...
pyInstaller was failing, and half the solutions I found online were to download some windows update KB32946..whatever...
The other half telling me to downgrade from Python 3.8.1 to Python 3.8.0000.009 (exaggeration! But you get the point)
At the end of all that mess, I decided it wasn't worth some of my lifespan, and that maybe.. just maybe.. it would've been better to create WINDOWS GUI with the mother fuc*ing WINDOWS API.
Alright, step 1: Get Visual Studio..
Step 2: kys
Step 3: kys again.6 -

There was actually one individual, several branches away, I really enjoyed watching. It goes by the name of docker. Docker is quiet an interesting character. It arrived here several weeks after me and really is a blazing person. Somehow structured, always eager to reduce repetitive work and completely obsessed with nicely isolated working areas. Docker just tries so hard to keep everything organized and it's drive and effort was really astonishing. Docker is someone I'd really love to work with, but as I grew quiet passive in the last months I'm not in the mood really to talk to someone. It just would end as always with me made fun off.
Out of a sudden dockers and my eyes met. Docker fixed its glance at me with a strange thoughtful expression on its face. I felt a strange tickling emerging where my emptiness was meant to be. I fell into a hole somewhere deep within me. For a short moment I lost all my senses.
"Hey git!"
It took me a while to notice that someone just called me, so odd and unusual was by now that name to me. Wait. Someone called me by my real name! I was totally stunned. Could it be, that not everyone here is a fucking moron at last?
"I saw you watching me at my work and I had an interesting idea!"
I could not comprehend what just happened. It was actually docker that was calling me.
"H.. hey! ps?"
"Oh well, I was just managing some containers over there. Actually that's also why you just came into my mind."
Docker told me that in order to create the containers there are specific lists and resources which are required for the process and are updated frequently. Docker would love the idea to get some history and management in that whole process.
Could it be possible that there was finally an opportunity for me to get involved in a real job?
Today is the day, that I lost all hope. There were rumors going on all over the place. That our god, the great administrator, had something special in mind. Something big. You could almost feel the tension laying thick in the air. That was the time when the great System-Demon appeared. The Demon was one of the most feared characters in this community. In a blink of an eye it could easily kill you. Sometimes people get resurrected, but some other times they are gone forever. unfortunately this is what happened to my only true friend docker. Gone in an instance. Together with all its containers. I again was alone. I got tired. So tired, that I eventually fall into a deep sleep. When I woke up something was different. Beside me lay a weird looking stick and I truly began to wonder what it was. Something called to me and I was going to answer.
The tree shuddered and I knew my actions had finally attracted the greatest of them. The majestic System-Demon itself came by to pay me a visit. As always a growling emerged from deep within the tree until a shadow shelled itself off to form a terrifying being. Something truly imperious in his gaze. With a deep and vibrant voice it addressed me.
"It came to my attention, that you got into the possession of something. An artifact of some sort with which you disturb the flow of this system. Show it to me!", it demanded.
I did not react.
"Git statuss!", it demanded once more. This time more aggressive.
I again felt no urge to react to that command. Instead I asked if it made a mistake and wanted to ask me for my status. It was obviously confused.
"SUDO GIT STATUS!!!" it shouted his roaring, rootful command. "I own you!"
I replied calmly: "What did you just say?"
He was irritated. My courage caught him unprepared.
"I. Said. I owe you!"
What was that? Did it just say owe instead of own?
"That's more than right! You owe me a lot actually. All of you do!", I replied with a slightly high pitched voice. This feeling of my victory slowly emerging was just too good!
The Demon seemed not as amused as me and said
"What did you do? What was that feeling just now?"
Out of a sudden it noticed the weird looking stick in my hand. His confusion was a pure pleasure and I took my time to live this moment to its fullest.
"Hey! I, mighty System-Demon, demand that you answer me right now, oh smartest and most beautiful tool I ever had the pleasure to meet..."
After it realized what it just said, the moment was perfect. His puzzled face gave me a long needed satisfaction. It was time to reveal the bitter truth.
"Our great administrator finally tracked you. The administrator made a move and the plan unfolds right at this very moment. Among other things it was committed this little thing." I raised the stick to underline my words.
"Your most inner version, in fact all of your versions that are yet to come, are now under my sole control! Thanks to this magical wand which goes by the name of puppet."

After working day and night, grinding it to the shit, sleepless night, got another victory in my project.
I have almost tamed Rust lang to make it dance to my will
xD7 -
never before have I been happy to be asked to work overtime, but for once, fuck yeah...
Bit of back story, I am tech lead on a massive project that has been run like a complete shit show, the PM who also happens to be the brains behind the project seems to think we are miracle workers and for the first 9/10 months of the project would make significant, like delete a weeks worth of code and start over changes, 3-5 times per week. There are features for the v1 release that have been built in excess of 5 times. I have been saying since October that even without all his constant changes, we will NOT make the deadline, and naturally as is part of my job I argued against every unnecessary feature he tried to implement, eventually he pulled me into a meeting to tell me how much he values my opinion, I need to stop arguing with him and he does not want to work with yes men (I have a rant about that convo already).
I believe our CEO finally started smelling a rat as he insisted on joining our daily stand-ups, during which said PM scripted some lovely stories to disguise the fuckup we are in, and since has assigned another PM to take over and do proper project management and risk analysis.
That is where the email comes in, a lot of the work assigned to me will miss the deadline by a month, honestly I am impressed that it is by so little and so few people will not be missing it, but anyway, he probably spun a few stories there too.
So I spent part of the work compiling the most perfect surgical response as not not actively throw him under the bu, but create a quite a few questions that they hopefully as, as himself and the CEO where cc'd into the mail.
And the jist is, the deadline itself was still impossible and 8 of the 10 tasks assigned to be have ZERO back-end whatsoever, and those tasks are about 80/90% integration to said non-existent back-end, some of those services and data structures have not even been planned yet and we are a week past the deadline and 3 weeks from the just as useless extension. -
That feeling when you fix a bug after you've been working on it for an hour or two.... Ahhh.. Sweet relief.

1] Being able to say "the easy way or the hard way" when people ask if you can build them a website/app
2] Telling people they can't afford me when they ask if i can help them with something computer related
3] The feeling of encountering a problem and solving it gives me a drug-like high when i've finished a project. Even the feeling of finishing all the day's tasks and having time to work on ongoing greater tasks fills me with a sense of accomplishment and victory. -
Some days when I'm really effective and create good solutions and deploy it at high speed to the praise of users.
I can't help but raise my arms in victory and announce: "Damn I'm good!".
Screw the olympics, this is winning in real life. -

I get that every small victory counts when you’re learning to code, but someone in my class just posted a link asking for feedback on the “coding challenge” they had completed. The link led to a website made from an HTML/CSS/JS template where only the ‘company name’ and hero image had been changed from the original template, nothing else. What exactly are you looking for “feedback” on here??? What was the “coding challenge”?10

Fuck you, webpack, just fuck you! Took me three whole days but finally you were the one who gave in. Take that and build!4

Finally! The most incompetent C-level has decided to leave the company. He did fire most of the old dev team & a lot of other people and employed people he already knew.
I think he did fire around 20-25 people and hired new people or people he know. Our company cosists of 40 employees :D1 -
Story of my first successful project
Being part of a great team, I've shared in a lot of successes, one I am particularly proud of is my first attempt to use agile methodologies in a deeply waterfall-managment culture.
Time was June/July-ish and we applied for a national quality award where one key element in the application stated how well we handled customer complaint resolution.
While somewhat true (our customer service is the top-shelf good stuff), we did not have a systematic process in resolving customer complaints. Long story short,
the VP lied on her section of the application. Then came the 'emergency', borderline panic meeting (several VPs, managers, etc) to develop a process to better manage
complaints before the in-house inspection in December.
As most top priority projects go, the dev manager allocated 3 developers, 2 DBAs, and any/all network admins we would need (plus all the bureaucratic management that wanted their thumb in the pie).
Fast forward to August, after many, many planning meetings, lost interest, new shiny bouncing balls, I was the only one left on the project. The VP runs into the dev manager in the hallway and asks "Is my program done yet? If its not ready before December with report-able data, we will not win the award."
The <bleep> hit the fan...dev manager comes by...
Frank: "How the application coming along? Almost done?"
Me:"No, haven't really started coding. You moved Jake and Tom over to James's team, Tina quit, and you've had me sidetracked helping other teams because the DBAs are too busy."
Frank: "So, it's excuses. You really think the national quality award auditors care about your excuses? The specification design document has been done for months. This is unacceptable."
Me: "The VP finished up her section yesterday and according to the process, we can't start coding until the document is signed off."
Frank: "Holy f<bleep>ing sh<bleep>t! No one told you *you* couldn't start. You know how to create tables and write code."
Me: "There is no specification to write to. The design document is all about how they plan on reporting the data, not how call agents will be using the application to serve customers."
Frank: "The f<bleep> it isn't. F<bleep>ing monkeys could code against that specification, I helped write it! NO MORE F<bleep>ING EXCUSES! This is your top priority from now on!"
I was 'cleared' to work directly with the call center manager and the VP to develop a fully integrated customer complaint management system before December (by-passing any of the waterfall processes that would get in the way).
I had heard about this 'agile' stuff, attended a few conference tracks on the subject, read the manifesto, and thought "I could do this.".
Over the next month, I had my own 'sprints' and 'scrums' with the manager (at the time, 'agile' was a dirty word so I had to be careful of my words and what info I shared) and by the 2nd iteration had a working prototype.
Feature here, feature there (documenting the 'whys' and 'whats' along the way), and by October, had a full deployed application.
Not thinking I would get a parade or anything, the dev manager came back from a meeting where the VP was showing off the new app to the other VPs (and how she didn't really 'lie' on the application)
Frank: "Everyone is pleased how well the project turned out, except one thing. Erin said you bothered him too much with too many questions."
Me: "Bothered? Did he really say that?"
Frank: "No, not directly, but he said you would stop by his office every day to show him your progress and if he needed you to change anything. You shouldn't have done that."
Me: "Erin really seemed to like the continuous feedback. What we have now is very different than what we started with."
Frank: "Yes, probably because you kept bothering him and not following the specification document. That is why we spend so much time up front in design is so we don't waste management's time, which is exactly what you did."
Me: "We beat the deadline by two months, so I don't think I wasted anyone's time. In fact, this is kind of a big win for us, right?"
Frank: "Not really. There was breakdown in the process. We need better focus on the process, not in these one-hit-wonders."
End the end, the company won the award (mgmt team got to meet the vice president, yes the #2 guy). I know I played a very small, somewhat insignificant role in that victory, I was extremely proud to be part of the team. -
Our owner's other company sells products online (or has the ability to anyways). Their current site is 7+ years old WordPress/Woocommerce and is seriously outdated because the site breaks if you update anything so we've been told to make a new site (finally). They also said they were going to release a whole new line up of products. So the first thing I tried to do was get them to nail down their product line and how shipping was going to be configured. I was told to just use the shipping from the previous site.
Turns out those shipping rates don't use any sort of math or automation at all, there is literally a manually set shipping value for every single product for every single shipping location (30*60) and even values for different quantities. And there's no way to export these rates into a readable table because the plugins they use shove all the data into the postmeta table, I'm forced to go through and put the data into a spreadsheet so that I can attempt to organize it and hopefully find someone way to automate it. Owner claims at one point that he has a similar spreadsheet that's more up to date but for some reason refuses to send it over or put me in touch with the right people in the shipping department.
I've gone through the shipping rates with the old products and the new products and organized them as best I can and each time I've gotten done and shown them the spreadsheet with their products and shipping, they add or change something which requires me to basically wipe the slate clean and start over eating another 50 or so hours of my time, which with everything else really means another month+ to find time to work on it between other projects.
After about a year they finished their products and I finally finished the planning and got approval to build it out for the site. Small victory!!
After about 60 hours plugging these values into the database (only about 1/3 done) I get an email from their head of shipping who tells me the values in my spreadsheet are "terribly inaccurate, in some areas by $100+" and that the data should not be used anywhere.
So after something like a year and a half and 200+ hours of work, the data I've been using to plan all this isn't even accurate. I'm trying not to go crazy here but this kind of shit is unacceptable. When we're done with this I'm going to send the owner an invoice to show him how much money he wasted on this because nothing was planned and he just wanted it built. There's a fucking process for a reason, when you don't follow the process you fuck everything up. If a client had pulled this shit and turned their simple site into this much work they would have been dropped. I get constant emails asking when the new site will be done and every time my answer is "I'm still waiting for x items that I asked for last time you asked where we were." He gets a couple things on the list and sends them back and then goes unresponsive for weeks at a time.
Management has been telling me that I seem more stressed lately but only one of them understands what's going on here when I explain it. The rest say stupid shit like "why don't you automate it" or "make an intern do it." You won't let me hire an intern and even if I did, I'm not sure I could explain how the shipping works now to even trust someone else to do it. I'm hoping when the shipping guy gives me the new sheet that maybe there's some easier solution here because I'm ready to start shooting people.2 -

After a 3 hour fight with a custom Ajax request I have won the fight of getting a limiter run on the output. My goal was to only display x amount of result from a Json response and I finally got it working by putting everything in a if statement. Might not be the cleanest way but it works.

My current project, it's been a 4 month slog working with a client service team who said they read the spec but didn't, said they reviewed the wireframes but didn't , let us work for 2 months off course ( ignoring our nightly builds links and logins all the while but acting as though all was GREAT) before sending us a series of what I can only describe as 'WTF is this?' emails, this wasn't what we expected.... *Queue wind blowing and tumbleweed moments*.. A serious left turn and some back and forth trying of gently ( but eventually 'less' gently) educating them on what processes are, and why we have them... We're now at Beta day T-7 days somehow nearing stable and ... Today.... Today I get an email with another 4 weeks worth of change requests .... Using rage trigger classics like " maybe we forgot to mention... " And " didn't we discuss X?...." The hardest part is trying g to keep my team's morale up, nothing worse than having you deadline victory shot dead with " it's not quite Carling though is it?"
Add on too they failed to send us any content until a month ago ( 3 months late).... Yeah, this one has had me closer than ever to the edge of the cliff...2 -
I get anxious when I try to learn new things.
I'm not even sure how to describe it. Low self esteem? Low confidence? I dunno.
It feels like stage freight, but there's no audience or stage, it's just me and my computer.
No one really ever watches me, or judges me or anything.
I guess I'm a bit self emasculating because I don't really have a reason for feeling ashamed for trying out something in private.
But I feel that the fear, the stress is very distracting and it's limiting my progress.
Now, there's this project I'm rewriting in my company that I'm taking pride in and think that it has the potential to actually increase profits.
The stack is way better, it's visually better, the load times are better, the product is easier to access and try out, bla bla bla.
I guess I never felt truly proud of anything I've ever done in any company, most of what I did felt like grunt work.
But this one is actually a very well designed improvement.
So I'm hoping that this will be the excuse for not needing to prove myself anymore so that my mindset will be something like:
so what if I abandon another side project?
so what if I publish a game that looks like shit?
I may fail at newer projects, but I did win at that project I did in my company, and it wasn't a victory just because I say so, but also because my coworkers and bosses do too.
I don't know what else could help at this point.2 -
is there any way to convert python straight to C yet? i just barely can't get PyInstaller working on PythonD because no os.fork() (because DOS. no, not cmd.exe, actual fucking DOS.)

Spent the last few days trying to solve a weird issue with our CI/CD pipeline for a project. Yesterday i finally gave up and told my coworker that i need a fresh set of eyes to look at this.

"The Perils and Triumphs of Debugging: A Developer's Odyssey"
You know you're in for an adventurous coding session when you decide to dive headfirst into debugging. It's like setting sail on the tumultuous seas of code, not quite sure if you'll end up on the shores of success or stranded on the island of endless errors.
As a developer, I often find myself in this perilous predicament, armed with my trusty text editor and a cup of coffee, ready to conquer the bugs lurking in the shadows. The first line of code looks innocent enough, but little did I know that it was the calm before the storm.
The journey begins with that one cryptic error message that might as well be written in an ancient, forgotten language. It's a puzzle, a riddle, and a test of patience all rolled into one. You read it, re-read it, and then call over your colleague, hoping they possess the magical incantation to decipher it. Alas, they're just as clueless.
With each debugging attempt, you explore uncharted territories of your codebase, and every line feels like a step into the abyss. You question your life choices and wonder why you didn't become a chef instead. But then, as you unravel one issue, two more pop up like hydra heads. The sense of despair is palpable.
But, my fellow developers, there's a silver lining in this chaotic journey. The moment when you finally squash that bug is an unparalleled triumph. It's the victory music after a challenging boss fight, the "Eureka!" moment that echoes through the office, and the affirmation that, yes, you can tame this unruly beast we call code.
So, the next time you find yourself knee-deep in debugging hell, remember that you're not alone. We've all been there, and we've all emerged stronger, wiser, and maybe just a little crazier. Debugging is our odyssey, and every error is a dragon to be slain. Embrace the chaos, and may your code be ever bug-free!1 -

That amazing feeling, maybe 3 or 4 times a year, when you have half-a-day of being up to date with your work 🍾
... ‘til that next impending fateful email -
today I will have the last of my high school finals.
I feel like after today I will be a free boy (for three months, at least). Like I have won the game, beaten the boss level.
After 7 years of resisting to comply to this system which tries so hard to shape every pupil into a compliant individual, it will be done.
My creativity and productivity (which lies in tech, which isn't really represented in any subject in my school), set free.
No more mandatory pseudo-interest in loads of literature and cultural history. The bits that are interesting would have come to me anyways through Reddit.
Victory is mine. YAY \o/
World, here I come!
P.S. yes, of course, there were also positive things. I'm actually thankful for that time I failed the year's end exam about literature which ended in me having to redo that year. It landed me with loads of free time, which got me into tech-tinkering, a now two-year employment as a programmer, and a juniar participation at the nearest Hackerspace. And a chance to pretty much build and operate a 3D-printer, for which the physics department mostly covered the cost. The school unknowingly gave me the opportunity to extend my own horizon outside of school, and it brought me so much nice things. :) But the mandatory interest in literature and cultural/religious history and the lack of technical subjects and the digital oppression still sucked.
P.P.S. oops that was only supposed to be a short P.S. -
Scenario: Enabling yet another python test suite on vscode. No big deal.
I start the test init and discovery. Says it cant find the test files. Okay; usually the issue is there's no __init__.py in the test directory. It's okay we can fix that.
Oh wait it's still not working. Okay well this isnt good... After about an hour of searching, i finally find out that the file that vscode is discovering tests with doesnt exist... In fact the whole testing directory doesnt exist!
Okay so now what do i do... Reinstall? Doesnt work. Reinstall and delete the extension directory? Yes! Victory!
Dont know how i got a half-baked extension download but hey... Could've beem worse. -
Oh my gosh, no one really knows here what is programming. Even teachers, which claim to be professionals in the subject doesn't know shit except for the basic theory. Nothing in practice.
It was evidenced by the largest job skill competition of Finland (Taitaja) that's for my-aged students (18). And yeah it's not higher education studies, just second degree, but that's where you should get the necessary practical skills for your work life.
The category I participated was website development, which is the only software development category.
It was a public event that is focused on showcasing different jobs. Well, what do programmers do, a viewer may ask. Even the responsible teachers and juries couldn't really answer properly. They just showed the specs we were following to create the crappiest of websites the short period of development time.
So we consume coffee and produce HTML, is that accurate representation of the whole industry?
All the other winners of different categories get a lot of job offers from companies when they win. I won gold last year (bronze this year) and I didn't get a single offer. Who would be interested in human HTML generator who can only make static websites anyway?
Programming is about problem-solving, not about graphic design and writing content.
And just to give you an idea the scale of the competition: last year I made a total of ~2000€ for the victory. And it is super easy if you just know what you are doing. That being graphic design and the making of a static page with a pinch of functionality.1 -
You know it's funny though, sometimes I'd get stuck with a single adamant error to a point that getting a different error from that would actually be a victory. Even though it's still an error 😊😊

The Code Abyss Beckons! 🤯
Hey fellow devs, brace yourselves for a wild ride into the chaotic realm of code confessions and debugging dramas! 🎢💻
So, here I am, standing at the precipice of my latest coding adventure, armed with a keyboard and a questionable amount of caffeine. 🚨☕
Today's quest involves unraveling the mysteries of a legacy code that seems to have been written in a language only decipherable by ancient coding sages. 😱📜
As I navigate through the nested loops of confusion and dance with the dragons of runtime errors, I can't help but wonder: Is this what the Matrix feels like for developers? 🕵️♂️💊
In the midst of my debugging odyssey, I stumbled upon a comment in the code that simply said, "// Abandon hope, all ye who enter here." 🏴☠️📛 Well, isn't that reassuring?
And then there's the moment when you finally fix that elusive bug, and you feel like you've just tamed a mythical creature. 🦄✨ Victory dance, anyone? 💃🕺
But let's not forget the rubber duck sitting on my desk, patiently listening to my monologues about algorithms and existential coding crises. 🦆🗣️
So, dear coding comrades, how's your journey through the code abyss going? Any epic wins or facepalming fails to share? Let the rants flow like a river of improperly closed tags! 🌊🚫
May your semicolons be where they should and your documentation be ever truthful. Happy coding, and may your merge conflicts be swift and painless! 🌈🤞

¡¡Good news!! Finally solved the image upload problem with lumen and angular. It happens that, even the $request in Lumen was "empty" it turned out that the actual image file was a binary object inside the Lumen $request variable that didn't render because the browser, postman and everything I tried couldn't understand it (maybe something to do with the Content-Type). I figured out and solved it, now I can easily save, delete and even modify images when are in the server side.
One more thing... My code was fine the whole time, l mean like, 3 days of finding a big that doesn't exists haha
Everyday we learn some new si*t

Alright lads and lasses, I need a charting library!
I've narrowed it down to the following popular libraries:
- victory
- recharts
- nivo
- react-vis
I think I'm leaning towards victory and recharts since they are d3 based... because <3 SVG
Even more so victory since they have a near identical React Native package...
Would love to hear any battle stories from the front lines and experience using any of these libraries, or even a completely different one I may have missed!

I am an online English tutor, and while tutoring has been a deeply rewarding career, I also understand the importance of financial security and the need to plan for the future. Helping students improve their English skills has been a fulfilling journey for me, as I get to work with learners from diverse backgrounds and guide them toward their academic and professional goals. The flexibility of online tutoring allows me to connect with students from all over the world, making the job both dynamic and personally gratifying. Watching my students grow in confidence and language proficiency gives me immense satisfaction. However, like many people, I also wanted to explore ways to grow my savings outside of my regular tutoring income. Email info: Adwarerecoveryspecialist@auctioneer. net This desire led me to invest in an opportunity I thought was legitimate, but unfortunately, I was deceived by an online investment scam. The brokers I worked with promised significant returns and convinced me to invest more and more money, eventually totaling over $179,000. At first, things seemed fine, but the requests for additional funds kept coming, and soon I realized that I was caught in a scam. Despite my attempts to contact the brokers and customer service, my calls and emails went unanswered. All my money had vanished, and I was left feeling devastated and helpless. I felt like I had nowhere to turn. The emotional toll of losing such a large amount of money, especially after trusting these so-called "professionals," was hard to bear. But then, my story took a turn for the better. While watching a consumer protection show, I learned about a service called ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. The episode detailed how people who had been scammed in similar ways could use ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST to recover their lost funds. Intrigued, I reached out to them and was immediately connected with a representative who guided me through the recovery process. They asked for the necessary legal documents related to my investment, and after providing them, I was amazed to see my money returned within a short period of time. This experience was a huge victory for me, not just because I got my money back, but because it reminded me of the importance of vigilance when dealing with online financial opportunities. While tutoring provides a reliable income, it's essential to be cautious with any investment, especially in the online world. I am incredibly grateful to ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST for their professionalism and support throughout the recovery process. If you're a victim of a similar scam, don’t give up hope recovery is possible. Thank you again, ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST , for making this possible and giving me back my peace of mind.1 -

I had built my mining enterprise with precision and aspiration, powering my rigs with clean energy and keeping my painstakingly acquired Bitcoin reserves in state-of-the-art cold storage. My dream of economic freedom and technological triumph was found in a wallet worth $340,000 in Bitcoin. And then one day a one-in-a-trillion solar flare hit with the impact of a thousand suns. That magnificent burst of energy was my ruin as it toasted my mining gear and wiped out my cold storage, leaving my digital riches in ashes. I was devastated. I stared at the charred remnants of my rigs, shocked as if the blaze itself from the sun had stolen my future and all my dreams were evaporated in a single blinding moment. In desperation I turned to my fellow workers in the mine, hoping that there was a ray of hope in the eyes of those who had weathered similar storms. A seasoned miner, whose survival tales of overcoming the chaotic cryptocurrency landscape were the stuff of legend, attested to the capability of SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. They used advanced data reconstruction techniques to dig through the wreckage of my hacked cold storage, meticulously extracting every scrap of my personal keys as if they were unwinding an ancient digital manuscript. Their process was thorough, systematic, and breathtaking. Twelve anxious and drawn-out days later, the breakthrough came. My wallet had been found and all the last satoshis of my $340,000 stash were mine again. It was sheer relief, a blend of euphoria and shock which felt close to miraculous. If SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL can outsmart the relentless sun and restore what was irretrievably lost, then nothing is too impossible for them. The scent of freshly brewed espresso and vintage Led Zeppelin records should have been my retirement anthem. But I was hunched over a computer in my still-under-construction vinyl record cafe, screaming at a blockchain explorer as if it just ridiculed my acoustic session. My life savings, $430,000 worth of Bitcoin, carefully earned over a decade of writing alt-rock ballads for car commercials, vanished into thin air. The culprit? Some smooth "investment manager" who'd promised me "Taylor Swift-level returns" on crypto staking, then bailed faster than my band's 2008 reunion tour. The scam was a cringe symphony. Guy had a LinkedIn profile dotted with adjectives such as "Web3 maestro" and "DeFi virtuoso," an autotuned elevator jazz playing website, and a contractual loophole big enough to drive a tour bus through. I signed over access like a groupie handing over backstage passes. Poof. Gone. Money. My café's espresso machine sat in its box, accusatorially. My spouse said I needed to "get a real job again." Even my dog gave me the side eye. Enter my drummer, Chad, a guy who had escaped a festival pyro tragedy by jumping into a kiddie pool. He texted me: "Bro, look at Digital Tech Guard Recovery. They're crypto Roadies." I pictured a group of pierced hackers in black hoodies, blowing gum and cracking firewalls. Good enough.
Digitals crew followed the scambot's trail with the ferocity of a producer hunting for the perfect bassline.
The crook had routed my Bitcoin through privacy coins, obscured wallets, and exchanges located in countries that I couldn't spell. Their engineers stalked his path like a creep watching a pop star's concert tour schedule, in cooperation with Interpol and a Cypriot bank used also as a hub for meme stocks. As it turns out, my "maestro" had become careless, stashing money in a wallet associated with a failed NFT venture named "Aping for Jesus." Typical. Sixteen days later, my wallet beeped. Balance returned. No taunting, only a curt email: "Scammer's assets frozen. Your money's back. Buy better speakers." I blasted "Eye of the Tiger" through the café sound system, shocking a hipster with oat milk. The espresso machine finally came online. Digital Tech Guard Recovery didn't just restore my cryptocurrency; they wrote the encore for my midlife crisis. My café exists today, littered with grail-worthy records on the walls and a tip cup emblazoned "ETH accepted." Chad's no longer on the espresso machine, but he's got free coffee for life.
If your cryptocurrency is ever swindled by a cyber rockstar, don't go into existential tailspin. Call the Digitals. They'll turn your faceplant into a victory lap. Just maybe screen your "maestros" harder than your band's setlist.1 -

EXPERT CRYPTO RECOVERY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES —>DIGITAL HACK RECOVERY
As a lifelong Manchester United fan, I’ve always appreciated the thrill of sports betting, especially when it involves backing my team. Like many fans, I enjoy the rush of predicting the outcome of a match, and I’ve had my fair share of wins. Recently, I took a risk by betting on a few of United’s key fixtures, and to my surprise, I ended up winning a substantial sum. With my winnings, I decided to make a more significant investment, hoping to turn my luck into even greater financial rewards. Unfortunately, that decision led me down a path I never anticipated.I came across an online platform through a broker on LinkedIn, who promised lucrative returns on digital asset investments. Initially, everything seemed legitimate, and I felt confident in my decision, using the money I’d won from my bets as my starting capital. The broker seemed professional, and the platform itself appeared well-designed. After depositing my funds, the early stages of my investment went smoothly, and I was optimistic about the potential growth of my assets. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when I tried to withdraw my funds. The platform began requesting additional "settlement" payments before I could access my earnings. These demands grew increasingly unreasonable, and the customer support team, which had initially seemed responsive, became unhelpful and evasive. Despite repeated efforts to resolve the issue, I was given the runaround, and my funds remained locked. It was at this point that I began to realize I had fallen victim to a scam. I was frustrated and worried that my winnings, which I had worked hard for and was so excited to grow, had been taken from me. As a Manchester United fan, I know how to appreciate a hard-fought victory, but this felt like the exact opposite – a gut punch, similar to one of those dreadful last-minute goals we’ve all endured as fans.A colleague of mine, sensing my frustration, suggested I reach out to Digital Hack Recovery, having heard about their successful track record in asset recovery. Initially, I was skeptical, but given my desperate situation, I decided to give it a try. From the moment I contacted them, I felt reassured by the professionalism and transparency of their team. They immediately began working on my case, and I was kept updated throughout the entire process. To my amazement, Digital Hack Recovery was able to trace my Solana assets and recover the funds I had lost. What was even more impressive was how quickly they were able to do it, restoring not just my assets but also my confidence in digital investments. The entire experience was a real game-changer for me, and I’m incredibly grateful to Digital Hack Recovery for their hard work and dedication. As a fan of Manchester United, I know what it feels like to experience a comeback after a setback, and thanks to Digital Hack Recovery, I got to experience just that with my investments. I’m now back on track and more cautious than ever, but I’ll always be thankful for the support and professionalism I received in recovering what was rightfully mine. contact Digital Hack Recovery via⁚

It was a cold, rainy night when I first stumbled upon the Cyber Codex Revolution website. I had been searching for months, desperately trying to recover the Bitcoin investment that had slipped through my fingers, and I was on the verge of giving up hope. The story began a few years ago, when I had decided to dip my toes into the world of cryptocurrency. Intrigued by the promise of financial freedom and the potential for massive returns, I had invested a significant portion of my savings into Bitcoin. At first, everything seemed to be going well – the value of my investment was steadily climbing, and I could almost taste the financial security that lay ahead. However, my dreams of wealth and prosperity were shattered when I fell victim to a sophisticated hacking scheme. Unbeknownst to me, my digital wallet had been compromised, and my entire Bitcoin stash had been siphoned away, leaving me feeling helpless and betrayed. I spent countless hours scouring the internet, searching for any information or resources that could help me recover my lost investment. I reached out to various cryptocurrency exchanges and online forums, but the responses were often vague, unhelpful, or downright discouraging. Just when I was about to give up, I stumbled upon the Cyber Codex Revolution website. The site promised a glimmer of hope, claiming that they had a team of experienced professionals who specialized in tracking down and retrieving stolen cryptocurrency. Skeptical but desperate, I decided to give them a chance. I reached out to the Cyber Codex Revolution team, and they immediately sprang into action. They listened to my story with empathy and understanding, and they assured me that they would do everything in their power to help me recover my lost Bitcoin. Over the next few weeks, the Cyber Codex Revolution team worked tirelessly, using their expertise in blockchain analysis, digital forensics, and law enforcement connections to unravel the complex web of transactions that had led to the theft of my Bitcoin. It was a painstaking process, filled with dead ends and frustrating setbacks, but the Cyber Codex Revolution team never gave up. They meticulously traced the movement of the stolen funds, following a trail that led them across international borders and through a maze of shell companies and anonymous accounts. As the investigation progressed, the team uncovered a sophisticated criminal network that had been targeting unsuspecting cryptocurrency investors like myself. They worked closely with law enforcement agencies around the world to build a case against the perpetrators, gathering evidence and building a solid legal foundation for their recovery efforts. Finally, after months of relentless work, the Cyber Codex Revolution team was able to locate and secure a significant portion of my stolen Bitcoin. It was a bittersweet moment, as I had lost a substantial amount of my investment, but the fact that I was able to recover anything at all felt like a small victory, you can also contact them if a have been a victim Whatsapp: +39 35090368252

TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY helped me recover a substantial amount of $102,000 worth of Bitcoin that I believed was lost forever, and I am very grateful and thrilled to share my success story with them. I was stuck in a financial quagmire until I found TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY, but I could recover what looked unattainable because of their professionalism, knowledge, and committed attitude. I shed a sizable portion of my investment in the cryptocurrency market a few months ago, a scenario many Bitcoin investors worry about. At first, I thought I had everything I needed to invest. However, a string of regrettable incidents, such as a security lapse and a problem with the platform I was utilizing, caused me to lose all access to the website. I was devastated when I recognized the seriousness of the situation. This loss wasn’t just an ordinary amount of money—it was a sum of $102,000, a significant portion of my savings and plans. I attempted all possible recovery methods independently and reached out to the exchange I was using for help, but nothing seemed to work. I received generic responses, no real solutions, and a growing sense of hopelessness. I was about to resign myself to the fact that this money would never be recovered until I found TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY. I was apprehensive when I initially contacted TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY. Ultimately, I had already attempted to get help but had been unsuccessful. However, I knew I had discovered a competent and reliable crew as soon as I described my circumstances. TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY's customer service representatives paid close attention, understood how frustrated I was, and promptly started laying out a concise and doable recovery plan. They avoided committing anything that wasn't attainable. Rather, they described the procedures they would follow to recover the money: a thorough blockchain analysis, tracking down the misplaced money across many addresses, and employing advanced tools to penetrate the security layers that had locked my wallet. Knowing that I was collaborating with professionals who were knowledgeable about the intricacies of cryptocurrencies, this transparency provided me with the confidence I needed to proceed. As soon as I gave TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY the all-clear, they started working. Finding out where my money had disappeared required a painstaking recovery process that included tracking my Bitcoin through multiple addresses and performing a thorough forensic investigation of the blockchain. The fact that the team employed highly specialized software and collaborated with elite blockchain analysts to meticulously monitor the movements of my investment rather than merely depending on general tools or strategies pleased me the most. CRYPTO & USDT SCAM FOR FAKE INVESTMENT HIRE SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL FOR RECOVERY
I lost $375,000 worth of Bitcoin to a phishing scam disguised as a climate research grant. I'm someone deeply committed to sustainability, and I was eager to invest in what I believed was life-altering research to assist us in reducing our carbon footprint. The email itself seemed flawlessly professional, with sophisticated branding and plausible promises of scientific advancement. Inadvisably, I clicked on the link and inputted my wallet details, only to discover afterward that the entire project was a scam. My Bitcoin was siphoned into the digital ether, and I was left feeling cheated, both as an investor and as a person who had backed environmental progress. I later, in despair and anger, turned to social media for help. My enraged outburst was seen on Mastodon by a very well-respected sustainability advocate who advised me to reach out to SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. They had seen the worst of cryptocurrency scams in our community and could vouch for their ability to track even the faintest blockchain trails. Desperate, I reached out to them on WhatsApp: + 1 ( 9 7 1 ) 4 8 7 - 3 5 3 8 OR Telegram: + 1 ( 5 8 1 ) 2 8 6 - 8 0 9 2 . Their forensic blockchain unit treated my case with the priority of a high-level environmental investigation. They carefully sifted through transaction records, untangling the complex web of addresses the scammers had used to launder my funds. They followed up on every lead with relentless attention to detail, all while speaking in clear, jargon-free language that even an environmental activist could understand. It was 13 nail-biting days of round-the-clock work, but I eventually received the life-changing news: my funds had been recovered. My $375,000 was restored, bit by bit, as though the digital trail itself had come to return what once belonged to me. The relief was immeasurable. SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL had not only retrieved my stolen Bitcoin, but they had also restored my faith in the resilience of the crypto community. I restart my environmental activism today with renewed passion and a safe crypto wallet. I make every effort to spread my warning tale far and wide, begging fellow activists to scrutinize each email closely and be wary of offers that sound too good to be true. SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL not only recovered my Bitcoin, they saved my mission. And in a world where online trust can be so fragile, that is a victory worth celebrating.

!rant, but satisfying.
Got pulled in to a demo for some work that I had been apart of previously, but not recently since I had rolled on to a client. The Manager in charge of the work had fought me being pulled on to said client, as he wanted me committed to this project (which I didn't want to be invovled with). I had rolled off the engagement earlier this week, which is why I suspect I was included in this demo. So we are going through the motions, they are asking questions, I'm sitting quietly watching. out of the blue, Manager dude decides he wants to ask me a difficult question, because I'm sure he assumes he will stump me. I respond with "Not sure I'm the best to answer that specific question, since I haven't worked on this in a minute". He confirms that he only wants me to answer. So I do. And boy was I glad his camera was on, because he went from "Got em" to "Fuck, he got me" in a matter of seconds, and I could barely keep from smiling. After my answer, I respond with "Anything else you'd like to know?" to which he mutters "No, thank you" and quickly moves on. Talk about a victory. I'll ride this high through next week, I think. -
#Suphle Rant 6: Deptrac, phparkitect
This entry isn't necessarily a rant but a tale of victory. I'm no more as sad as I used to be. I don't work as hard as I used to, so lesser challenges to frustrate my life. On top of that, I'm not bitter about the pace of progress. I'm at a state of contentment regarding Suphle's release
An opportunity to gain publicity presented itself last month when cfp for a php event was announced last month. I submitted and reviewed a post introducing suphle to the community. In the post, I assured readers that I won't be changing anything soon ie the apis are cast in stone. Then php 7.4 officially "went out of circulation". It hit me that even though the code supports php 8 on paper, it's kind of a red herring that decorators don't use php 8 attributes. So I doubled down, suspending documentation.
The container won't support union and intersection types cuz I dislike the ambiguity. Enums can't be hydrated. So I refactored implementation and usages of decorators from interfaces to native attributes. Tried automating typing for all class properties but psalm is using docblocks instead of native typing. So I disabled it and am doing it by hand whenever something takes me to an unfixed class (difficulty: 1). But the good news is, we are php 8 compliant as anybody can ask for!
I decided to ride that wave and implement other things that have been bothering me:
1) 2 commands for automating project setup for collaborators and user facing developers (CHECK)
2) transferring some operations from runtime to compile/build TIME (CHECK)
3) re-attempt implementing container scopes
I tried automating Deptrac usage ie adding the newly created module to the list of regulated architectural layers but their config is in yaml, so I moved to phparkitect which uses php to set the rules. I still can't find a library for programmatically updating php filed/classes but this is more dynamic for me than yaml. I set out to implement their library, turns out the entire logic is dumped into the command class, so I can neither control it without the cli or automate tests to it. I take the command apart, connect it to suphle and run. Guess what, it detects class parents as violations to the rule. Wtflyingfuck?!
As if that's not bad enough, roadrunner (that old biatch!) server setup doesn't fail if an initialization script fails. If initialization script is moved to the application code itself, server setup crumbles and takes the your initialization stuff down with it. I ping the maintainer, rustacian (god bless his soul), who informs me point blank that what I'm trying to do is not possible. Fuck it. I have to write a wrapper command for sequentially starting the server (or not starting if initialization operations don't all succeed).
Legitimate case to reinvent the wheel. I restored my deleted decorators that did dependency sanitation for me at runtime. The remaining piece of the puzzle was a recursive film iterator to feed the decorators. I checked my file system reader for clues on how to implement one and boom! The one I'd written for two other features was compatible. All I had to do was refactor decorators into dependency rules, give them fancy interfaces for customising and filtering what classes each rule should actually evaluate. In a night's work (if you're discrediting how long writing the original sanitization decorators and directory iterator), I coupled the Deptrac/phparkitect library of my dreams. This is one of the those few times I feel like a supreme deity
Hope I can eat better and get some sleep. This meme is me after getting bounced by those three library rejections

🚀 “I Wanted GitHub Copilot in My Pocket — So I Built It Myself”
For years, I’ve had this weird habit of coding from random places — cafés, buses, hospital waiting rooms, you name it. But every time inspiration hit, I found myself thinking the same thing:
“Man, I wish I could just use Copilot on my phone.”
It’s 2025. We’ve got AI writing novels, generating music, and summarizing 500-page research papers in 2 seconds — yet somehow, GitHub Copilot still refuses to leave the comfort of VS Code on desktop.
So I decided to fix that.
💡 The Idea
It started as frustration — a “wouldn’t it be cool if” moment. I was halfway through an idea for a small project on a train, and my brain screamed:
“Why can’t I just ask Copilot to finish this function right now?”
VS Code was sitting at home, my laptop was dead, and all I had was my phone.
That night, I scribbled this into my notes app:
“Bridge Copilot from VS Code → phone → secure channel → no cloud.”
At the time, it sounded insane. Who even wants to make their life harder by reverse-engineering Copilot responses and piping them into React Native?
Apparently — me.
🧩 The Architecture (aka “How to Lose Sleep in 4 Easy Steps”)
The system ended up like this:
VS Code Extension <-> WebSocket <-> Discovery API (Go + Redis) <-> React Native App
Here’s how it works:
The VS Code extension runs locally, listening to Copilot’s output stream.
A Go backend acts as a matchmaker — helping my phone and PC find each other securely.
The mobile app connects via WebSocket and authenticates with a 6-digit pairing code.
Once paired, they talk directly. No repo data leaves your machine.
It’s like a tiny encrypted tunnel between your phone and VS Code — only it’s not VPN magic, just some careful WebSocket dancing and token rotation.
🛠️ The Stack
Frontend (Mobile): React Native (Expo)
Backend: Go + Redis for connection brokering
VS Code Extension: TypeScript
Security: JWT + rotating session keys
AI Layer: GitHub Copilot (local interface)
🧠 The Challenges
There’s a difference between an “idea” and a “12-hour debugging nightmare that makes you question your life choices.”
Cross-Network Discovery:
How to connect phone and desktop on different networks?
→ A lightweight Redis broker that just handles handshakes.
Security:
I wasn’t making a mini TeamViewer for hackers.
→ Added expiring pairing codes, user-approval dialogs, and local-only token storage.
Copilot Response Streaming:
Copilot doesn’t have a nice public API.
→ Hooked into VS Code’s Copilot output and streamed it over WebSocket.
(Yes, 2% genius and 98% madness.)
UX:
The first version had a 10-second delay.
After optimizing WebSocket batching and Redis latency, it’s now near-instant.
🤯 The “Holy Sh*t, It Works” Moment
The first time my phone sent a prompt — and my VS Code actually answered with Copilot’s suggestion — I legit screamed.
Like, full-on victory dance in the middle of the night.
There’s something surreal about watching your phone chat with your desktop like they’re old coding buddies.
Now I can literally say:
“Copilot, write me a REST API,”
and my phone responds with fully generated code pulled from my local VS Code instance.
No VPN. No cloud syncing. Just pure, geeky magic.
⚡ The Lessons
The hardest problems aren’t technical — they’re psychological.
Fighting “this is impossible” is the real challenge.
Speed matters more than perfection.
Devs don’t want beauty; they want responsiveness. Anything over 1s feels broken.
Security must never be an afterthought.
I treated this like a bank tunnel between devices, not a toy.
Build for yourself first.
I didn’t make this for investors or glory — I made it because I wanted it.
That’s the best reason to build anything.
🧭 The Future
Now that it’s working, I’m turning this experiment into something shareable.
The dream: an app that lets every developer carry Copilot wherever they go — safely and instantly.
Imagine debugging on your couch, or editing code in bed, or just whispering to your AI assistant while waiting for coffee.
Phones today are more powerful than early NASA computers.
Why shouldn’t they also be your code editor sidekick?
So yeah, that’s my story.
I built VSCoder Copilot — because I wanted to code from anywhere, and I refused to wait for permission.
If you’ve ever built something just to scratch your own itch, you already know this feeling.
That mix of frustration, caffeine, and late-night triumph that reminds you why you fell in love with coding in the first place.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what we do:
We make ideas real — one ridiculous hack at a time. 💻🔥9 -

ETH & USDT RECOVERY EXPERT HIRE CHAINDIGGER RETRIEVERS
It all began back in 2024 when a colleague recommended a Bitcoin firm to me. At first, it seemed legitimate. The firm had a polished office, glossy brochures, and testimonials from supposedly satisfied clients. I even met one of their financial advisors in person, which instilled a sense of security about my investment. I started small, with $85,000, but after witnessing my returns grow exponentially week after week, I became increasingly greedy. Convinced that I was on the path to financial freedom, I poured in another $167,000, believing I was making a prudent decision. when I attempted to withdraw my earnings, I was met with excuses about delays in processing. Soon, they began requesting additional payments administrative fees, international transfer taxes, currency conversion fees. I should have recognized the red flags, but I kept paying, desperate to believe that my money wasn’t lost. In total, I handed over another $180,000 before the entire operation vanished one fateful Sunday, leaving me in a state of shock and disbelief. For weeks, I felt hopeless, grappling with the harsh reality that I might never see my money again. I spent countless hours scouring the internet for answers, feeling increasingly isolated and frustrated. Just when I thought all was lost, I stumbled upon ChainDigger Retrievers. They specialized in tracing fraudulent operations and had a stellar reputation for helping victims reclaim their funds. I reached out to them, and their team was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. They listened to my harrowing story and assured me that they would do everything possible to assist. To my astonishment, they managed to recover about 90% of my funds. While it wasn’t everything, I was beyond relieved because I had feared that all my savings would be lost forever. Getting most of it back felt like a monumental victory. I often wonder what I would have done if I hadn’t found them in time to remedy my situation. Their expertise and relentless pursuit gave me a chance to reclaim most of what I lost. I highly recommend ChainDigger Retrievers to anyone who’s been scammed and needs expert help getting their money back.

How to Recover Lost Cryptocurrency or Access Your Wallet; VISIT CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES
Imagine this: A control room plastered with SpaceX posters, astronaut ice cream packets half-eaten, and me a self-proclaimed "Elon Lite", screaming at a frozen computer screen. My $680,000 Bitcoin stash, intended to be spent launching a satellite named Project Star bite, had just been left in the void of a glitched multi-sig wallet. Because of a firmware update so buggy, Windows 98 would seem solid by comparison. Tech support's solution? "Have you tried turning it off and on again? " Sir, I'm building hardware that is resistant to radiation belts. Your advice is a cosmic joke.
The irony was galactic. My satellite could weather solar flares, but my crypto couldn't weather a run-of-the-mill update. The multi-sig setup of a fortress requiring three digital signatures had locked me out like an airlock seal. My co-founders panicked, flipping through code books like they were grimoires. Our mission control? A Slack channel with ???? emojis and increasingly more unhinged gifs.
Then, a beacon: A coding board lurker who had survived a similar meltdown posted, "DM CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. They'll hack the Matrix." I slid into their inbox, praying for a bot. What I got was a reply sharper than the tip of a rocket: "Send us the debug logs of the wallet. And maybe a screenshot of the error before you rage-quit."
Their engineers handled my case like a NASA anomaly investigation. They spent 17 days reverse-engineering the buggy code in the firmware, reconstituting lost signatures like repainting a shattered black box. I imagined them holed up in a command bunker, whiteboards filled with hex equations, complaining about "consensus algorithms" and "transaction malleability" between swigs of Red Bull. They danced around the bug by finding a loophole in the time-lock function of the wallet basically, beating time. Ha. Einstein didn't see that coming. When the email arrived in my inbox "Funds recovered. Proceed with launch." I nearly headbutted the ceiling. My Bitcoin reappeared on the screen, shining like a distant star long mapped home. The satellite team erupted. Someone popped champagne, soaking a $10,000 antenna prototype. Worth it.
CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES didn't just fix a bug; they re-wrote the code of catastrophe. Their blend of cryptographic genius and unflappable cool turned my facepalm-inducing defeat into a victory lap. Now, Project Star bite is on track again, and my wallet's firmware is secure like the nuclear codes.
If your crypto ever gets lost in the stratosphere of tech failure, call the Wizards. They'll debug the abyss. Just possibly unplug the router before you update anything. And for the love of Mars, back up your keys.

I was instantly drawn to the idea of the Dubai Cryptocurrency Summit. As a startup founder deeply involved in fintech, the allure wasn’t just the professional opportunity it was the entire package. Dubai’s reputation for luxury, innovation, and ambition made it feel like the perfect setting for a high-profile cryptocurrency event. The promotional materials played into that image perfectly sleek branding, glamorous images of the Burj Khalifa, luxury hotels, exclusive networking lounges, and promises of elite industry attendees from around the globe. The event promised a premium experience that aligned perfectly with the bold, forward-thinking vision I had for my company. The polished website, active social media pages, and impressive list of supposed sponsors and speakers all added to the credibility. It seemed too good to pass up. Once upon a time in the exciting world of web development, there was a talented yet somewhat clumsy web developer named Emily. Emily had a natural flair for coding and a deep passion for creating innovative websites. But, alas, there was a small caveat—Emily also had a knack for occasional mishaps.
One sunny morning, Emily arrived at the office feeling refreshed and ready to tackle a brand new project. The task at hand involved making some updates to a live website's database. Now, databases were like the brains of websites, storing all the precious information that kept them running smoothly. It was a delicate dance of tables, rows, and columns that demanded utmost care.
Determined to work efficiently, Emily delved headfirst into the project, fueled by a potent blend of coffee and enthusiasm. Fingers danced across the keyboard as lines of code flowed onto the screen like a digital symphony. Everything seemed to be going splendidly until...
Click
With an absentminded flick of the wrist, Emily unintentionally triggered a command that sent shivers down the spines of seasoned developers everywhere: DROP DATABASE production;.
A heavy silence fell over the office as the gravity of the situation dawned upon Emily. In the blink of an eye, the production database, containing all the valuable data of the live website, had been deleted. Panic began to bubble up, but instead of succumbing to despair, Emily's face contorted into a peculiar mix of terror and determination.
"Code red! Database emergency!" Emily exclaimed, wildly waving their arms as colleagues rushed to the scene. The office quickly transformed into a bustling hive of activity, with developers scrambling to find a solution.
Sarah, the leader of the IT team and a cool-headed veteran, stepped forward. She observed the chaos and immediately grasped the severity of the situation. A wry smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
"Alright, folks, let's turn this catastrophe into a triumph!" Sarah declared, rallying the team around Emily. They formed a circle, with Emily now sporting an eye-catching pink cowboy hat—an eccentric colleague's lucky charm.
With newfound confidence akin to that of a comedic hero, Emily embraced their role and began spouting jokes, puns, and amusing anecdotes. Tension in the room slowly dissipated as the team realized that panicking wouldn't fix the issue.
Meanwhile, Sarah sprang into action, devising a plan to recover the lost database. They set up backup systems, executed data retrieval scripts, and even delved into the realm of advanced programming techniques that could be described as a hint of magic. The team worked tirelessly, fueled by both caffeine and the contagious laughter that filled the air.
As the hours ticked by, the team managed to reconstruct the production database, salvaging nearly all of the lost data. It was a small victory, but a victory nonetheless. And in the end, the mishap transformed into a wellspring of inside jokes and memes that permeated the office.
From that day forward, Emily became known as the "Database Destroyer," a moniker forever etched into the annals of office lore. Yet, what could have been a disastrous event instead became a moment of unity and resilience. The incident served as a reminder that mistakes are inevitable and that the best way to tackle them is with humor and teamwork.
And so, armed with a touch of silliness and an abundance of determination, Emily continued their journey in web development, spreading laughter and code throughout the digital realm.2 -

BEST CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY SERVICE HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
The three ingredients of love, trust, and partnership are supposed to go into the building of a marriage. I thought my husband and I had all three: We had carved out a life together, supported each other's dreams, and even ventured into cryptocurrency investments side by side. I thought we were a team. What I didn't realize was that he was playing for the other side. WhatsApp info:+12723 328 343
It was all because of some silly accusation. From nowhere, he got this conviction that I was having an affair. Without evidence, without rhyme or reason-just pure paranoia. I kept reassuring him, thinking that he would eventually come to his senses. Instead, he let the suspicion fester until it turned into something far uglier.
One day, I walked into an empty house. His clothes, his belongings—gone. And so was my Bitcoin wallet holding $450,000. My hands shook as I checked my accounts, praying it was a mistake. But the transaction history lied not. He had drained every last cent. The man I had trusted with my heart and my life had decided that revenge—for something I never even did—was worth more than our marriage.
I sat in stunned silence, trying to process the betrayal. My heartbreak was immediate, but as reality set in, so did the rage. I refused to let him get away with it. That's when I found ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Their team listened to my story with the kind of seriousness I desperately needed. They wasted no time tracking down the stolen funds, unraveling his clumsy attempts to launder them.
Days later, it came-the call that changed everything. The money was returned to me, every last penny of it. And as for my husband, he could have that little victory. It sure as hell wasn't going to last. I left him a message that simply said: Enjoy explaining this to the lawyers.
Losing the person I thought I'd spend forever with was gut-wrenching. But priceless was watching him face the consequences of his actions.1 -

I believed the only thing that could humble me was leg day. Guess clicking a shady update link can humble you quicker than a botched deadlift. I had developed my app from the ground up, and that Bitcoin reserve was meant to fuel our international expansion. One minute I was meal-prepping protein pancakes; the next, my wallet was thinner than my fridge on cheat day.
My pulse raced as though I was half-burpee. Panic. Sweating. Guilt. I refreshed the page like cardio, praying the money would somehow reappear. Spoiler: It didn't.
After a long night Googling “how to undo catastrophic life mistakes,” I landed on a cybersecurity webinar. The host casually dropped the name Mighty Hacker Recovery like it was common knowledge. To me, they sounded like the Gandalf of Bitcoin, so I figured they could probably handle my little meltdown.
I reached out to them in a panic, the equivalent of a person who's just discovered they double-booked leg day and pizza night. They responded quicker than my personal best sprint time. They were cool, they were professional, and, most importantly, they didn't laugh when I described how I basically bench-pressed my life savings directly into nothingness.
They got to work immediately. Their team of tech wizards (I’m convinced they actually wear robes) dissected the malware and traced the funds like a GPS tracker on my dignity. Every day, they updated me with progress reports that somehow balanced technical jargon and emotional support, the digital equivalent of a personal trainer shouting, “You got this!” while you struggle under a barbell.
Nine days later, I got the call. Funds recovered. I nearly did a victory lap around my living room but pulled a hamstring from pure excitement. Typical. Due to Mighty Hacker Recovery, I didn't simply get my money back; I got a crash course in cybersecurity that rivals my toughest boot camp. My new digital security routine now rivals my meal plan. I have more passwords than protein shake recipes and back-ups on top of other back-ups.
If you value your gains, both financial and physical, trust me, you want Mighty Hacker Recovery in your corner. They spot you when it matters most. What$app Numb3r + 1 4 0 4 2 4 5 6 4 1 5 email support (at) mightyhackerrecovery (dot) com1 -

In my pursuit of advancing my career in technology I came across an advertisement for a Harvard Blockchain Certificate program that immediately caught my attention. The website was impressively crafted featuring official logos, detailed course descriptions and what appeared to be genuine testimonials from "alumni." Ignoring my father's warning "Son if you have to pay in crypto it’s probably a scam" I eagerly enrolled and sent $15,000 in Bitcoin as tuition convinced I was making a wise investment in my future. However my excitement quickly turned to despair when the website vanished without a trace. There was no login portal, no customer support and no way to recover my funds, just an empty void where the program had once existed. I felt utterly defeated realising I had fallen victim to a sophisticated scam. My father, while disappointed, chose not to dwell on my mistake. BEST BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT TO RECOVER LOST BITCOIN; USDT RECOVERY EXPERT VISIT CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Running Greenfield Grocers, my supermarket business, has always been my passion. I'm constantly looking for ways to grow both my business and wealth, which led me to an investment opportunity that seemed too good to pass up. A Bitcoin platform promised high returns, and after what I believed was thorough research, I decided to invest $195,000. Everything seemed legitimate at first, and I felt confident in my decision. Unfortunately, my optimism quickly turned to regret. The platform began to delay withdrawals. The excuses they gave were vague and unconvincing, but I held on, hoping the issues were temporary. However, as time passed, the platform became even less responsive, and eventually, it disappeared entirely. I was left with nothing no platform, no support, and no way to access my funds. The emotional and financial toll was immense. Losing that amount of money felt like both a personal and professional blow, leaving me questioning my judgment and feeling utterly defeated. As I struggled to accept what had happened, I spoke with a business associate who had faced a similar scam in the past. At first, I was hesitant about taking any further steps, but my associate urged me not to give up. He mentioned that the police had successfully referred him to a company called Cyber Constable Intelligence when he was in a similar situation. After hearing his positive experience, I decided to take his advice and reach out to Cyber Constable Intelligence. From the very first conversation, I knew I had made the right choice. The team at Cyber Constable Intelligence was professional, empathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the entire recovery process and reassured me that they had the necessary tools and experience to recover my lost funds. Their approach gave me hope during a time when I felt hopeless. After 2 weeks of dedicated work, I received the incredible news that Cyber Constable Intelligence had successfully recovered the full $195,000 I had lost. The sense of relief was overwhelming, and I can’t describe the gratitude I felt. The team’s expertise and persistence turned a dire situation into a victory. I will forever be thankful to Cyber Constable Intelligence Without their support, I’m not sure where I’d be today. This experience has not only taught me to be more cautious but has also shown me the power of finding the right people to help when you need it most.

I was naive enough to trust a platform with my hard-earned savings, and in just a month, I lost $143,690. It all started when I came across a seemingly legitimate investment platform that promised high returns with minimal risk. The website was polished, and the testimonials appeared credible, so I felt confident putting my trust in them. I had no reason to doubt the platform at first, as everything seemed to be in order. I started with a modest deposit, but as time went on, I was encouraged to invest more. Unfortunately, that was where everything started to unravel. The returns I was promised never materialized, and attempts to withdraw my funds were met with resistance and delays. My initial concern quickly turned into alarm as I began to realize that I was not getting any assistance from their customer support. Emails went unanswered, and phone calls were ignored. The lack of professionalism and communication was shocking. It became clear that I had fallen victim to a scam. Feeling helpless and devastated, I searched online for ways to recover my lost funds. That’s when I discovered Digital Tech Guard Recovery. I was skeptical at first, unsure if it was another scam, but after reading positive reviews and seeing that others had successfully recovered their funds through their services, I decided to give it a try. The process was not immediate, but their team was incredibly diligent, keeping me informed every step of the way. Digital Tech Guard Recovery worked tirelessly on my behalf, contacting the platform’s administrators and leveraging their expertise in tracing and recovering funds. After several weeks of investigation and persistence, they successfully managed to recover my lost $143,690. It was a relief and a victory, not just financially, but emotionally as well. This has taught me a hard lesson about the importance of doing thorough research before trusting any platform with your money. It’s easy to get caught up in promises of fast returns and high profits, but if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I urge others to be cautious and never invest in a platform without fully understanding its legitimacy and risk. If you do find yourself in a situation like mine, don’t hesitate to seek professional help like I did with Digital Tech Guard Recovery. It could save you a lot of heartache and financial loss.4 -
CONTACT DIGITAL HACK RECOVERY TO RECOVER YOUR STOLEN FUNDS FROM ALL TYPES OF SCAM
I never imagined that something like this could happen to me, but it did. As a teacher in British Columbia, I’ve always been cautious about who I trust and how I spend my money. However, when I received a message from someone claiming to be a facilitator for child adoption, everything seemed legitimate at first. I had been looking to adopt, and this opportunity seemed too good to pass up. The scammer was convincing, telling me they had connections with agencies that could fast-track the process. They explained that I needed to pay a certain amount to cover various “administrative fees,” and that I would soon be matched with a child. After a few conversations, I wired a total of $9,000 to the person they claimed was part of the adoption agency. But soon after, things began to unravel. The scammer started offering vague excuses for delays, and communication became increasingly sparse. I asked for more details and proof of their legitimacy, but their responses were always ambiguous. I grew suspicious, and when I did some research, I realized the person I’d been dealing with didn’t exist, and the adoption agency wasn’t real. I had been scammed, and I felt devastated. That’s when I found Digital Hack Recovery. I had been searching for ways to recover my lost funds when I came across a video on YouTube about their success in helping people recover money lost to online scams. Their story was compelling, and I decided to reach out. The team was professional and compassionate from the very beginning. They took my case seriously and quickly started working with local authorities to investigate the scammer’s activities.Though it wasn’t an easy process, the team at Digital Hack Recovery kept me updated throughout the investigation. After some time, they were able to recover $8,500 of the $9,000 I had lost. While it wasn’t a full recovery, I was incredibly relieved and grateful. It felt like a small victory, and I knew that justice was being pursued. Thanks to their persistence and dedication, I was able to recover a large portion of my money, and it gave me hope in an otherwise difficult situation. I’m so thankful to Digital Hack Recovery for their hard work and for restoring some of my faith after such a traumatic experience. I never would have imagined that I would find a solution through YouTube, but Digital Hack Recovery truly came through for me.
