Received "emergency update" code from internal enterprise security team. Wasn't given time to do code review; was assured code was reviewed and solid.
Pushed code to over 6k lower-level servers before finding this gem buried deep within:

cd /foo; rm -rf *; cd /
...
(This ran as root, and yes, the cwd was / from earlier in the code).
/foo, of course, did not exist on some servers.
Now, it is those servers which do not exist.

I want to cry.
To start, some of you know that I live in Reunion Island.
But there are a week ago, the SAFE cable is broken (one of the two cables that give us internet access), due to that, my ISP reduced a lot the connection speed.
Yesterday, I downloaded some packages in my Ubuntu computer. I left it download during the night.
So, today I was checking if it was done.

But it isn't the worst. I got a many "timed out" when downloading the dependencies.

Whenever I see "404" I instinctively add "x not found" after it in my head. Like if this got to 404 upvotes, I'd immediately think "404 upvotes not found." Anyone else do this? It doesn't matter what the context is, I ALWAYS do it. It's almost annoying.3

To everyone who wanted the JS library to do the blur like in one of my other rants, I want you to know that it's close to be finished. I just have some blur position bugs.
I think tomorrow I will finally fix that bug and publish the library on Github.

Did you know the moon mission would have been a complete bust if one guy, the day before, hadn't looked at the error codes. The same error codes that were continually popping up on the console during the dissent onto the moon. If it weren't for him they would not have known what those error codes were for and would have aborted the mission.4
