5 reasons I love devRant
1. I can't understand the point of Facebook. And it has such a shitty UI, but devRant has a beautiful despite it is complete JS
2. It doesnt have 140 char limit.
3. It is 99% english.
4. Trolls and script kiddies are rare here.
5. It is fairly lightweight.
======================
1 reason I hate devRant
1. Total waste of time.16 -
Two reasons why I love devRant.
1. None of my clients are here so I can say what I want.
2. Everyone gets my geeky ass jokes that usually only I laugh at.5 -
Ever since I joined devRant, I've been the most motivated I've been in the past 3 years to work on my personal projects and learn new stuff
I freakin love you folks 💞2 -
Dear devRant,
Meeting you was fate, becoming your member was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.6 -
I love how "minimal" devRant is.
No username, no time... just the number of likes and number of comments ..
*it's a feature not a bug*
✌(◕‿-)✌3 -
other website/app: here, upload a picture as your avatar
devrant: here, have this rpg like builder with plenty options, with everything from the shirt to the glasses and unlocks based on upvotes
i love this app5 -
It's my first day here and I LOVE this place. Everyone is so awesome and helpful and smart! Thanks for making me feel at home! <311
-
The Big difference between devRant and Facebook?
Facebook -> Everybody hate Zuckerberg
DevRant -> Everybody love dfox11 -
How i got to devRant.
Boss comes in, sees me super chill.
Other people enter, boss sees me not chill.
Sends me an email and says "Enjoy".
I love this guy :')
Ps. Hope he doesn't expect work today8 -
Why I love devRant:
You'll never receive bad or degrading comments.
If I post a picture of my hairy ass here, the comments would be like:
"There are good sides of having excessive hair."13 -
Subtle irony:
Tons of people rant about how bad PHP is on devRant.
devRant's is built using PHP.
Love it4 -
I seriously love Devrant. I think I have been missing this for all my life! seriously. who ever wrote this is a genius. I love this.8
-
Why I love devRant? Cause it redirects me to my good old browser after clicking on a link instead of open such a f*****g build in shit!5
-
"What the hell, you got some custom tuning package?"
No man, it's called DevRant, it's awesome, spread the love!12 -
Welcome to the gang you sticky little sticker. Im glad they made all the way to germany. Thx @dfox8
-
Since I discovered devRant, looks like I stopped using instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
I love this community so much!!
It even has functions facebook and instagram doesn’t have!
Thank you @dfox and all the others! Hope it continues like this!
Thanks devrant!6 -
No Rant, just wanted to say devRant is something I have been looking for in a long time, Love it !3
-
I really love how devrant changed from a "place where developer s could post rants about technology " to " A loving , considerate , helping out place where every dev is welcome "4
-
I hope Desks of devRant is still a thing because..
I BUILT MY OWN (。♡‿♡。)
My dad helped me with the metal work. I build the wooden plate myself and I think it looks beautiful.
Also my devDucks and my little bongo cat support me. As well as my real cats which now have more space to annoy me.
I love this table ( ˘ ³˘)♥10 -
devRant is the first time I see so many people announcing to the world how much they like the app. Imagine someone be like "I LOVE Facebook! <3"
Btw, I LOVE devRant! <33 -
I forced myself to use git on my latest projects. And the more I use it, the more I love it. I can relate to all the git-love here on devRant.21

All I need sometimes is scrolling through your stuff, and I feel better.
Be safe, girls and guys. Be healthy, and stay here. #OneBigFamily ❤️9 -
Joined devRant a week ago...I use it almost all the time... Can't even think about uninstalling it...It feels like all my brothers in arms are here....I love this new home.3

You know one of the things I love about this community is?
We have such a diverse group of people and even when those who don't speak English natively, they try to on the app as much as possible keeping it consistent. Even when they make some mistakes, no one's a dick about it (from what I've seen), which is awesome!13 -
So guys and gurls...
I'm a member of devRant for about 1.5 weeks now. I already have over 130 likes on my rants in total about things I was never able to post without being labeled a nerd. I literally love you guys! Thanks to @dfox and @trogus for making it possible for us to discuss things that matter for us!6 -
The registration thingy for a Dutch devRant meetup is online again! (Https://Linu.xxx)
Better spam protection.
Would love to see more people joining!17 -
I fucking love the DevRant community. The amount of honesty here and ranting is 🔥.
Let the rage flow through you and keep it up fam.7 -
Just realized that this app and community is the perfect example of a rule-less functional online community, it has everything that people would mostly believe drama occurs but no drama
Anonymity, relaxed rules, huge base, long reaching form of social media, yet it's possibly the most Las online community I've ever seen *knock on wood*6 -
!rant
One thing I love in devRant is the avatar design. Everytime I open up a rant, the replies below with avatars look exactly a group of developers talking in a bar.
It just visually makes me comfortable.6 -
The devRant community seems to hate everything I love in coding xD
However, we all still relate to the same rants ;)
PHP, JavaScript, CSS, Wordpress12 -
Hi, I'm new to devRant. That's perfect because I love to rant about everything.
So, let this be my first rant:
Apache Velocity + last minute rush + heatwave - climatisation = Hello Migraine my old friend...10 -
Want to hide this devRant apps on android but how?
Because everytime my wife see this devRant, she say, wtf this app? So many bad word, so many "fuck", you must avoid see bad words too much ,she said. Lol its true but still happy to see it, because its damn true. I love to see people say the truth19 -
Opening devRant is kinda becoming a reflex action for my thumb whenever I'm swiping through my homescreen
I'm loving it!1 -
I miss devRant YouTube cartoons :(
We will be seing more in the future? Gosh i love watching the rants come to life4 -
I'm getting the sense that the devRant algo somehow thinks I love seeing rubber duck memes every 3 posts...2
-
Thanks to devrant , now I can be one those people trying to look social in one those so called meets with personal touch where everyone is scrolling their Facebook (still)
-
!rant
I don't even care about getting upvotes with rage rants. It's just very nice to have a place where I can out all my rage and anger and where people actually understand me instead of staring at me like 'woah, calm down'. I feel like I'm actually understood here, something I don't often have irl. This is why I f*cking love devRant.1 -
Installed devRant about 3 weeks ago and love reading the rants, story's and comments. Just wanted to say thanks guys for making my uni experience that little bit greater. Decided today to create an account and support devRant by subscribing. Anyways hello devRanters!5
-
I have many stickers on my laptop, need some more to complete the selection. Would love to see devRant on here! Help me reach the goal? Suggestions as to what else to add?8
-
age++;
work++;

I hope this year will be as meaningful as this year was... and the best thing happened to me was coming to devrant and having support, warmth and love from you guys.
love ya all8 -
Thank god there are no Community Moderators on devRant... I just fucking have StackOverflow/Quora, they just don't let a newbie rise on those platforms... I love this place though.6
-
@trogus it would be pretty rad to have an avatar option that would add a devRant sticker to a laptop.
btw: I love the Rubik's cube chillin with the rubber ducking debugger.3 -
!rant
I love using DevRant and i am also a frequent visitor of sites like TechCrunch and ReCode. What other sites or apps would you recommend for devs or tech geeks??8 -
I get a huge feeling a deja vu when I check devRant after I check r/ProgrammerHumor. What a coincidence! :P2
-
Now I can afford myself a duck on my desk :-). I love devRant it's so addictive. I have the app as well. This thing is like WhatsApp for developers on steroids. Forgive my ignorance what are those pluses called anyway?5
-
Thanks everyone for showing your love for devRant Community! I really appreciate all of those who shared their desk setup pictures here 🙌🏼 Stay tuned & keep ranting 🤗11
-
Hey everyone, I’m new to devRant! Love to get to know the other developers out there. Anything big I’ve missed out on in the last 937 days that devRant has been around?23
-
Man, as much as I love reaping the benefits of Continuous Integration, I sure fucking despise having to set it up.
By the way, hi devRant!3 -
devRant broke my relationship.
I am being commanded to put "I love my girlfriend" in my bio to scare away all the 'women' that are apparently on here9 -
I like devRant because it's like 9gag, but with more relatable stuff, great community and I think that I learn a thing or two by being here. I love it :)
-
I just fucking love the feature of "click outside the textbox and lose all you wrote" on devrant, keeps my blood boiled just right. I am counting every second until the new webapp is supposedly coming 😢7
-
I love CSS, Java and Javascript.
Is DevRant anonymous? Now that I said it I'm afraid to leave my house8 -
Anyone else love how devRant has a dislike button? Really helps shoot down trolls without directly acknowledging and feeding into them. FB, Instagram, Twitter... take note3
-
Looking at all the love for Devrant and rubber ducks.. We really need a DevRant rubber duck merch.
😝6 -
A follow up for this rant : https://devrant.com/rants/1429631/...
its morning and i have been awoke all night, but i am so happy and feel like crying seeing you people's response. :''''') Thank-You for helping a young birdie like me from getting exploit.
In Summery, I am successfully out of this trickery, but with cowardice, a little exploited and being continuously nagged by my friend as a 'fool'.
Although i would be honest, i did took a time to take my decision and got carried away by his words.
After a few hours of creating a group, he scheduled a conference call , and asked me to submit the flow by which my junior devs will work.
At that time i was still unclear about weather to work or not and had just took a break from studies. So thought of checking the progress and after a few minutes, came up with a work-flow, dropped in the group and muted it.
At night i thought of checking my personal messages , and that guy had PMed me that team is not working, check on their progress. This got me pissed and i diverted the topic by asking when he would be mailing my letter of joining.
His fucking reply to this was :"After the project gets completed!"
(One more Example of his attempts to be manipulative coming up, but along with my cowardice ) :/
WTF? with a team like this and their leader being 'me'( who still calls him noob after 2 internships and 10 months android exp), this project would have taken at least one month and i was not even counting myself in the coding part(The Exams).
So just to clarify what would be the precise date by which he is expecting the task, to which he said "27th"(i.e, tomorrow!)
I didn't responded. And rather checked about the details of the guy( knew that the company was start-up, but start-ups does sound hopeful, if they are doing it right) .A quick social media search gave me the results that he is a fuckin 25 year old guy who just did a masters and started this company. there was no mention of investors anywhere but his company's linkedin profile showed up and with "11-50" members.
After half an hour i told him that am not in this anymore, left the group and went back to study.(He wanted to ask for reasons, but i denied by saying a change of mind ,personal problems, etc)
Well the reality is over but here comes the cowardice part:
1)Our team was working on a private repo hosted on my account and i voluntarily asked him to take back the ownership, just to come out of this safely w/o pissing him off.
2)The "test" he took of me was the wireframe given by their client and which was the actual project we 5 were working on. So, as a "test", i created 15 activities of their client's app and have willingly transferred it to them.
3) in my defence, i only did it because (i) i feared this small start-up could harm my reputation on open platforms like linkedin and (ii)the things i developed were so easy that i don't mind giving them. they were just ui, designed a lot quickly but except that, they were nothing(even a button needs a code in the backend to perform something and i had not done it) . moreover, the guys working under me had changed a lot of things, so i felt bad for them and dropped the idea of damaging it.
Right now am just out of sleep, null of thoughts and just wondering weather am a good person, a safe player or just a stupid, easily manipulated fool
But Once again My deepest regard from my heart for @RustyCookie , @geaz ,@tarstrong ,and @YouAreAPIRate for a positive advice.
My love for devrant is growing everyday <3 <3 <3 <35 -
I got this new job last month, but don't really have much work allotted. So I decided to make some productive use of my time:
made this
https://github.com/jayeshsolanki93/...
Its a library for devrant in go.
would love some love, feedback/pull-requests 😄5 -
Love devRant! Where can I donate to help keep the Devs supplied with adequate redbull and dorritoes?6
-
Devrants mobile data usage is so low. Really love don't needing a good connection and don't using to much of my mobile data when using it :)
Also: Grammarly STOP auto-correcting devrant to servant ALL THE TIME...5 -
When you still own a Lumia and realize how useless it's with all the non official apps and crappy optimization. But the you there is DevRant
+ New, clean and modern UI
+ Optimization
+ Fast
Thanks you to your team to bring such an amazing master piece to here4 -
Oh no! What have I done? I opened up devRant at 8:00am and it's now 9:55am. This is literally my biggest time sink and I love it.
-
Refreshing devRant on a Friday night... I should feel lame but I think I just love devs (and ranting)
-
I've got two new desk buddies that'll hopefully make this winter a little more bearable during finals.
I love the devRant community. Thanks for the ++'s everyone!1 -
Turns out devrant is a school even for the experience because I just learnt something new today
FUCK YOU PAY ME!!!!
https://youtu.be/jVkLVRt6c1U
I love this, all thanks to devrant9 -
>Learning programming at university for a couple of years
>Get introduced to lots of IDEs
>After hours of tweaking things one by one finally perfect settings of said IDEs
>Hear about devRant
>Browse devRant
>Whats this Vim thing they all love so much?
>MFW so much wasted time setting up all those IDEs14 -
well if the otakus of the Devrant-verse reads this, they get free updoots
(Hint: It's a Love Live Sunshine Character)1 -
I love the irony that the devrant stress ball my co-worker just received is the beginning of my stress.... bounce bounce bounce AHHHH!2
-
devRant avatars: Where's the hoodie?
Maybe it could be a separate category from Shirt, and you could add all kinds of outer wear from vests to parkas. But either way I'd love to have the option7 -
"Refreshing devRant feed within few minutes"
I am getting addicated to #devRant.
And I'm Loving it...
;)
#deleteFacebook #equipDevRant -
The new devRant vote info is great! Improvements like this is one reason we all love devRant! Thanks devRant team for implementing this.
-
I love devRant.
So there I am on the devRant website, busy clicking through options I haven't checked before; I click on "Settings", then the options "Logout" and "Delete Account" appear.
It just so happens that when the options came up, the mouse is hovering over the "Delete Account" button, at the thought of such my mind was like - Ahh! Nooo!3 -
Stickers arrived a couple of weeks ago ...but didn't managed to post a pic till now and to say thank you devRant. I love you all...keep the spirit.5
-
Oh my God I didn't even noticed I crossed 1000++ in just 2 weeks of newly activated me! Over 400++ in fucking 2 WEEEKKKSS!!!
THANK YOU GUYS I LOVE YOU8 -
Meta devRant rant:
Everyday there's a rant that reads, "I don't care what others think but I love me some PHP because all the $ gets me $$$, it just works™!"2 -
Can't we just write rants in html? I mean I'm enjoying devRant really well so far but adding html tags and so would make me love it here even more13
-
devRant!
I love devrant because devrant's design makes me to remind my B.Tech project design which had same upvote/tag/link styles like devrant and devrant has really weird devs too :D
What is the story behind you??4 -
Well, so I finally got 200 ++s, and now I can finally...
Wear vests! Uh... so that's cool... XD
Anyway, I just wanted to thank everybody for being such a good sport, around here... I've not been here for a long time, but I already feel like a part of a big family, of developers (and, why not, also non-developers...), and that makes me so happy.
In the end, devRant is like one of those rubber ducks developers use to tell things, I guess, lol.
It's just that. devRant is a rubber duck.
And every one of us is making that rubber duck bigger, and bigger, into something so unique and cool...
Something you can talk to (or rant to, I guess haha), something you can express all of your feelings to...
And inside of that rubber duckie there are... all of us. Hearing these rants from developers all around the world.
In the end it's really the community the most important part of... every thing or project, really, whatever it is, online or offline.
Keep on ranting about whatever you want, if you feel the need to...
I hope to hear more about all of you.
Thank you, all of you. I mean it.
Especially you two, who made it possible, @dfox and @trogus.
...devRant is such a cool project.
I sincerely hope it lives forever, it deserves it. You deserve it.
Again, thank you!
I love you all, good devRanting! 💙8 -
Am I the only one who is just to lazy to order devrant stickers even if my posts have enough upvotes? :D
Don't get me wrong i love stickers!7 -
Don't get me wrong I love the weekly rants!
...but on mondays I just genuinely don't use devRant because reading about the same topic over and over again becomes boring so quickly.1 -
I seriously feel like I'm learning more hands on stuff here than at school
So many precious advices and tips
I love this community4 -
I'd love if devRant had a search for user name when writing a rant, so if I type @dfox, it'll at least verify the name before I post.9
-
I think it is so sad you can't use your devRant icon on other sites. I know you could download them but the whole point is anonymous ranting so if someone know your picture they know who you are. I love the devRant icons <33
-
I always love rant when I LOST myself in coding and and GAIN by awaiting 20+1 like for that rant.
Thanks devRant You balance my business. -
Ahhhh, devRant, the last holy place where you can carelessly read without being flushed with fucking foodball news.
Only the tech thingies I like so much, all year long. Devrant, I love you!1 -
Alright i have a confession
I left devrant a week ago (2000++) and made a new account cause i love it here7 -
Seeing lot of images these days, not sure how much space this is going to cost devrant? @dfox (I love GIFs though)2
-
I never liked Facebook. I only use it to get posts from the pages on architecture. Yeah, i wanted to be an architect 😅. But after a week of getting into coding, i flipping fell in love with this too. After, i found devrant, i thank god that it exists. Facebook is for people ranting about what their relatives are liking or hating or what, people they don't know, are doing. That's not real. What you guys, the community so wonderful rants about everyday, is the real stuff. I love devrant. I love to code.
Chalo(is about the same as saying,"I'm out"), Good Night peeps 😴.I'm high on sleep.
P.S. didn't proof read the above because high on sleep2 -
London feels like a calmer version of New York or my native Chicago. I'm starting to get tempted to work here.7
-
Hpw cool would it be if devRant eventually was able to run in a multi window for android? Would really love to play some YouTube videos while scrolling through the feed4
-
That feeling when after not enough time, of reading and commenting on new rants, you catch up to your rant, only to realise 2 hours have past and not 10 min, like you think it was..
-
Love the new web app for devRant!
Would love to see it as a PWA in the future but it's currently an amazing web app, well done guys! -
Maybe I've spent too much time around marketers or maybe it's just my OCD... but for the love of God people, when referencing the app we all use and love can we not at least use the proper case?
It's devRant. Not DevRant. 😑5 -
Why does DevRant make me feel I'm doing enough during the lockdown whereas the whole world's making me feel like crap and guilty that I haven't done enough.
I fucking love this community.5 -
Look what just showed up in my mail today!! Only problem is my laptop's surface makes it very hard for anything to stick on and I'm scared to try :(
Anyways thank you @dfox and co!5 -
The new devRant UI is pretty cool and also love the new features in the app.
Good job dfox and trogus.18 -
!rant
I personally love apps like devRant, Slack, github, etc
What are some other lesser known great apps for programmers and developers?3 -
Rant/Love.
I am sitting in this Big data class next to a girl.(I don't really talk to her so much but things are about to change ) A guy is asking her to share her code base for some insights/ideas on homework and she advices
Don't look at the code base else you'll get same ideas I got and would never come with an original solution. Then she further goes on advising on solving map reduce problems and giving me some tips to be careful about.
I turned amazed. It was like deja vu. I said the same thing to my friend some time last week.
My eyes glittered and suddenly I am like
Where were you all these days ???
Nothing is more attracting then a girl talking about code.
Am I the only one ??6 -
Epiphany.....
After crash and burns all through FB, Twitter and Instagram, I've got to admit, the only place a dev can actually get any likes is devRant!1 -
Am I the only one whose daily morning routine is not only reading through devRant feed, but also catching up on the devRant issue tracker? Love me some discussions there :D1
-
!rant
My laptop now includes a DevRant sticker!
If you also have stickers on your laptop I would love to see them. Share photos of your laptops in the comments! :-)8 -
My love for you I can't describe it,
so I dont't even try and hide it.
Dev. you are my one true passion
you are always there to teach me a new lesson.
Some missing semicolon;
I have searched for you soo long.
Or was it a wrong indent,
ah f**k it was the missing increment.
Thinking through endless loops
in while, for and even do form,
just that my programs do a little better perform.
You give me the possibility to express myself as who I am and who I want to be,
in so many languages, from java, JS, GO, python and even C.
You give me bugs and issues that I track,
from motivation for you I never lack.
There are projects out there, where I contribute to
oh what a beauty are you.
And now you even bring fun into my life
with devrant, I now know how to survive.
How to survive client meetings and non devs around me,
oh how much stupidity I there see.
Let's exit this small programm of mine, this so called rime,
where I an immutable statement define:
I think about you even when we are not together,
My dearest DEV I will love you forever. -
Have more ++ on devrant than on stackoverflow. Feels home here. It's fun being part of this awesome community.3
-
Love knowing my mobile game is eating up people's precious time.
Shameless plug
Android and iOS:
https://triptych.app.link/devRant4 -
Just arrived love from NY and know London loves you back.
David and Tim, thanks for making devRant happen... this is awesome.1 -
Are we alright to use the profile pictures generated by devRant on other websites? Really love the style :)3
-
I could quite easily copy from the coding love and put on here, but I prefer to be original when telling my story.
-
I really have to say i love and hate dev rant :( Why is the feed so so so so bad. I see almost the same posts everytime/day. Even when i refresh. And its not better when looking at today/week/month/alltime. Is the Devrant just not maintslned anymore or are there just soo few users.
On the other hand though i find it veey enterteining and relateable at times. Much better then some twitter/insta etc .. i hope devrant will get more love from the devs and more user :)4 -
Python is my wife, Elixir is my sexy girlfriend. While I love my life, the gf presents me what my wife cant. ReactJs/Rxjs is a lovely classic porn. The question is: what the fuck devRant is here???6
-
My only question is: how did I accidently find devRant and how can I be an active part of it now as I found and love it? :D4
-
DevRant, who else is into podcasts? My favorites are the Tim Ferriss Show, Developer Tea & Modern Love.3
-
I'm into Commodores lately. Don't judge, grandmas deserve love too!
ps I'm making my friend join devrant11 -
That moment that quite a few people want a CLI tool for devRant but very few actually have input :p
I love my job/hobbies.
About to start (or resume) development on the CLI tool, if you want to provide last-minute input you can do there here: https://github.com/ChappIO/devrant/...
or here: https://gitter.im/ChappIO/devrant5 -
i fall in love with every software that have a purpose but an ugly UI and do the job well, devrant for example, how about you ?22
-
Just curious, anyone here know the tech stack of devRant?
I'd love to see a blog post, (if there isn't one already) on what this app runs on!2 -
Is there a devRant client for android that works better then the official one? I saw devRant native, i love the animations but sadly its incomplete.6
-
I'm still wondering how this app exists.... Where does the money come from? So.....curious. Maybe it's better I don't know. Love devRant :)
-
TLDR: I wanted to change email to new one, but I could not remember which one I have
currently. I found out an API in DevRant JS files for email verification and used
it to find it out.
So, I am moving from Gmail to Protonmail Pro, absolutely love their service.
I wanted to do same on Devrant but I could not figure out my current mail for
"I lost my password" form. My Password Manager have only login saved, and profile does
not show email address.
I thought that this user information is stored on server so it have to be some way to retrieve it. I dug
in source code and I've found:
`<div class="signup-title">Verify Your Email</div>`
Which has event assigned to function which uses jQuery.ajax (love it btw :D) to call:
`url: "/api/users/me/resend-confirm",`
This seems like worth a shot. Few copy-pastes and one ajax call later:

"Welcome to Devrant"
Got it :) So I have already changed in march when DevRant on previous layout.
This is what I love in this profession - problem solving. AI will not replace human
in any way, we will just stop coding array iterations and data manipulation - we will focus
on real problem solving and human touch (like design, convincing management for changes).1 -
got my Devrant stickers!!!
attached them to the PC case I decided I'll be keeping for the rest of my life (I just love this case). Ended up super gluing part of the big sticker to my desktop.2 -
After spending hours on just one code and not able to make it run,
here I am on devrant and announcing,
Life is Shit, Shit is life,
Coding is love, but being a coder is shit.2 -
Who made friends here at devrant?
Cuz I made none and I would love to have some Dev friends over the world.... 😄11 -
Glad I spoke to you guys, great support... I went to this business show its still happening... People seem to be loving us!
-
Spreading love for devRant amongst dev Mates in India; mates are Living and Loving it.
Cheers @dfox and @trogus3 -
The rant that is referred by another rant (https://devrant.com/rants/2154321/...) sums it up pretty well.3

Just opened devRant in a desktop browser after a very (x5) long time and boy I love the new interface. So much information is available on a single screen.

Phew, long time no see, devRant!
That Uni really squished life out of me. Damn. But awesome damn.
Still love ya tho, just want you to know that. You're awesome, really:)1 -
Hahahahaha I love how so many websites including devrant itself don't let you change your email address. Wish I had known about firefox relay back then9

How about language specific clothing, I would love to don the allegiance to my language on my armor in DevRant (and it makes you easier to identify)3

devRant help me decide on something...
I feel like learning a new language but can't decide, I'm torn between Swedish (because I love Sabaton) and German (I have a character in my book who is german)...10 -
We should invent a codeword for saying that devRant is awesome--lots of rants seem to be about it. That way we can add it to the end of any rant to show our love.
Any suggestions?1 -
Today's achievement, has successfully told my friend to create an account in Devrant. Guess what? My friend instantly love it.2

That moment when you are scrolling DevRant and your wife just doesn't shut the f up and your are raging inside but you love her and are as calm as Dalai Lama on the outside.

I have a function that receives 2 parameters: a string and a max numer of characters.
It returns an array with the partitioned string.
Example:
function name("hi, I love devRant", 10);
//return:
array(2){
[0] ->"hi, I love"
[1] ->" devRant"
}
Now.... what would be the appropriate name for that function?10 -
devRant please hear me out. Why use this ":/" instead of this ":)" or this ":D" or, I don't know, some shit like this ":P" maybe. Don't overwrite my feelings man, I love and enjoy coding!8
