My birthday is coming up on the 13th so I'll be 17 soon, but it's a shame. I like being 16...
Anyway... I'm going to spend the entire day working on my python script because I know no one will come.
For 5-6 years no one came to my birthday even though they said they would.
It's fine. I stopped caring, besides, I get to spend the day with variables and loops! It'll be a fun day, not to mention I'll be home alone so no one will bother me.
Useless but interesting fact: I got lucky. I was born ONE MINUTE before Valentine's day. At 11:59 I would be so upset if I was born on the 14th.75 -

2 days until I leave my job and I am assigned a large, legal requirement task to complete, with no time to plan or opportunity to hand over the work. No way it will be done in time, and no teamwork, so no one else will be up to speed on it when I leave, and I daresay I'll be blamed for it not working to their 2 sentence specification! Yup, that's why I'm leaving folks!1

When I can see actual clients using my software, and can get real feedback from them.
I usually work on backstage projects and my job never really affected "real, normal users". When I have something pushed and can really see user feedback and smiles, that means I've made it.
Of course, if that's on a decent job, with a decent team and decent pay. Which is where I am at now.
Soon, the app will be released - if the external infrastructure guy stop sucking. So, I'm hoping to feel I've made it soon, real soon :) -

I find it funny that as soon as I disable password authentication on my server and enable key auth then all of the bots spamming my server with incorrect login requests instantly stop when they realise that they aren’t getting through any time soon. Also don’t ask why I don’t have Fail2Ban and a firewall set up.5

Yay, I inherited a project with no documentation that is soon to be out of the prototype phase in a tech stack where I have no experience. It is already sold to customers and they expect it soon.
There are so many bugs, never been code reviewed but the main functionality semi-works :(15 -

I haven't said anything yet, but an AltRant notification server exists. Support for it will arrive very very soon on the AltRant app. It will run locally on the end user's personal computer, and it does not require a constant connection to the phone. Both devices need to be connected to the same local network on first connection, but after that you can wander out of your house or disconnect from the local network and still receive notifications.

My plan was to potato today.
... But given anxiety, might as well have a minor heart attack and a few panic attacks on the side.
Plus, second day of no proper food seems to be helping that cause greatly too.
At this rate, I'll die of dehydration first. Lol. My greatest regret is missing out on the robot's uprising. Ain't got nobody I love deeply, so at least I don't feel regrets for people I leave behind. Tiz a short meh life I've lived.
