A note on devRant community etiquette. I've seen some behavior lately that I want to just mention since it goes against the rules of our community. We've specifically built moderation tools into upvoting and downvoting, and that is how all content should be moderated.
Commenting on rants that you don't think should be posted only gives them more exposure and unfortunately at times people trying to moderate content via comments and rants have gotten abusive towards other members. On the contrary, I've yet to see any of the people these select few members accuse of "ruining the community" act hostile towards anyone.
So with that said, I wanted to make sure this policy is visible, because commenting on other people's rants, especially in a hostile way to stop them from posting, is bannable and we really don't want to see it. Like mentioned before, that's what downvoting is for and it's much more effective since it doesn't boost the content like adding a comment does.
We take content quality seriously and while we haven't been able to eliminate reposts completely, we've made a lot of progress. For directly reposted content, we added the repost detector (https://devrant.io/rants/425054/...) and are still working to improve that and appreciate any feedback/ideas for it.
Like any community on the internet, devRant will always have some reposts and it will always have some content you really don't like. That's what comes along with being an open platform with very little moderation. We get requests to moderate more heavily, but we don't like censoring recent rants and don't plan to do that.
Most of the times people who repost content or an image didn't realize it was already posted. Not everyone uses recent sort and almost always they have no ill intent.
Anyway, feel free to let me know if you have any questions and feedback is always welcome.45 -
Huge congrats to @linuxxx for being the first ever member of the devRant community to reach 100,000++
This is an awesome accomplishment and @linuxxx earned all of his ++ with awesome stories and has represented everything the devRant community is about while getting there.
So once again, congrats @linuxxx, and thanks for everything you have contributed to devRant!52 -
EDIT: since this announcement, collabs have been made free to post for all devRant members!
Introducing two big new devRant features!
First, the one @trogus and I are most excited about - Collabs!
Collabs are an easy way to start projects or work on existing projects with the awesome members of the devRant community. You can post a collab listing for the awesome open source project you started that could use some more contributors, that fun idea you have for a brand new project, or really anything you want to gather some fellow devs for. We think it will be a lot of fun.
Collabs also is a devRant first - it's our first paid feature. For each 2 week collab posting, we're charging $14.99. But we wanted to make sure to thank devRant users who have been with us for a while and anyone who contributes often, so anyone with 2,000 points or higher (now or in the future) gets one free collab listing!
The main reason we see collabs as a great first paid feature is because requiring payment or 2,000 points serves to be a slight barrier in posting a collab. We think for collaborations to be successful it's important to have some way to keep out listings where the poster has no intent of following through and we hope this is a good start to doing that.
NOTE: if the collab you are looking to create is devRant-centric (ex. a devRant Chrome extension), we will give you a free credit especially for that so you don't have to pay or use your earned free one. Just contact us (info@devrant.io) if your project falls into that category.
In addition, after tons of demand from the community, you can now change your username and email address! One important note is that you only get to change your username one time every 6 months, so use it cautiously :) You can access this feature in the "more" tab, then settings, then "Edit username or email."
If you have any questions or feedback about any of this, just let us know! We hope everyone enjoys :)52 -
Every user of any app: "damn these annoying ads. I hate ads!"
Average devRant user: "Dfox, add ads please so we can support you more."
What a wonderful community (except those who repost memes). ❤️13 -
Lets take a moment to appreciate this community - no ads, clickbaits or nudity and very little reposts (mostly for fun). Please devRant, don't ever get ruined.16
-
My friend after seeing devRant stickers.
What's devRant?
It's a Community for Developers.
Like Tumblr for devs?
No.
Like Facebook for devs?
No.
Like Twitter for devs?
No.
Then?
It's like devRant for devs.
凸(¬‿¬)凸11 -
Wikipedia says that a nerd/geek lacks social skills. They should see this amazing community, thanks DevRant :)10
-
Normal app: "DEV I NEED THIS, 1 STAR. WITHOUT THIS IS SHIT"
devrant app: "Guys, I've created a client for desktop computer for devrant, tell me if I can upgrade anymore"
Such beautiful community ♥4 -
Just taking a moment to appreciate devRant
Thank you for being there and for creating this awesome community (and thanks to all the peoples of this community)
:)2 -
devRant, the only positive and supportive online community for programmers.
until you mention an OS.
then all bets are off.16 -
Anyone else getting used to seeing certain usernames in devRant? We may not have "friends" like Facebook, but is still a kick ass community 😃190
-
My wife: Stickers?? Why the hell you got stickers, from who?
Me: From devRant, I told you about that cool community of devs some days ago...
She: NEEEEERRRRRD!
I take it as a compliment 😂6 -
Finally I found the community where the developers feel happy, pity & LOL for each others delight and distress.
Thanks <devRant&&Co*in>3 -
!rant
1. Person who passionately disagrees with you ++'d your comment!
2. Person who gets a response with a counter argument says "I had not looked at it from that angle before" instead of "That's mainstream propaganda, I hope you die of cancer"
Just two reasons why this community is amazing.
You actively inspire me to be a bit more sweet than bitter on the internet.10 -
I went to a hackathon and I was surprised to see that the judge was a fellow devranteer himself! Saw many people with devrant Stickers on their laptop! The community is spreading...9
-
Interviewer: "Give me an example of a time you made a significant contribution to a particular community."
Me: "This one time I got a +6 on my devRant"9 -
Just hit 500, exactly at my birthday!
DevRant is the most amazing community I've used to belong to. You guys are awesome!16 -
I open up facebook to look at fake news stories. I unfollowed everyone on my friends list.
I open up devRant to be a part of a community. A group of people that share the same interests.2 -
Do you also like the idea, if devRant would have patreon or paypal for donations?
++ the rant if you like the idea. Maybe @dfox and @trogus will consider it then 😄
Servers are not cheap and it would be great if the community would finance itself.
Sure devRant got a Store, but I live in Europe and ordering/shipping is not so cheap, we got huge taxes for it. And I dont wont to order a stressball or sticker every month.
Also every dev wishes for a beer 🍺 😜6 -
!rant
Was learning how to make Android wear watch faces... So I made one for devRant.
Will be uploaded to Playstore soon if I have your permission @dfox20 -
Devrant is the reason I left Facebook. Why be with those shitty people when you have community of your own kind!9
-
print("Hello DevRant!")
I'm new to the community but I really dig everyone's posts and attitude. This app is great!8 -
Since I discovered devRant, looks like I stopped using instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
I love this community so much!!
It even has functions facebook and instagram doesn’t have!
Thank you @dfox and all the others! Hope it continues like this!
Thanks devrant!6 -
Welcome to devrant, the community where you can personally ask the devs what the fuck just went wrong AND get an actual answer! @dfox
Facebook, take that idea about only community support, chew on it, plant it, water an care for it a couple of weeks, and shove it waaaay up your butthole!3 -
I'm really proud of the devRant community, it seems to be the only one not completely overrun and ruined by people fighting about the election. Stay awesome everyone!7
-
>browsing through devRant older members
>found @linuxxx
>he got a tiger on his avatar
This community is dope af18 -
This community really motivates me to master my skills and learn new stuff to become a great dev. Thank you!4
-
Thank you DevRant Community for connecting the programmers worldwide and also giving us opportunity to share our feedbacks.2
-
Hi I am new here!
My friend told me that devRant has a great community, he told me to post here and see what happens...14 -
I have been reading devRant for a few months and decided it was time to say hello. You guys seem like a cool community and I am happy to be apart of it now.10

Hey everyone.
New to DevRant. I've been reading some rants, seems like the perfect place for me to be. Feels good to be a part of the community.23 -
Are you a C# developer, and do you want to contribute to the devRant public api C# variant. This is your chance!
Fork the code and help the community project.

Have you read the devRant update? @dfox and @trogus have done an amazing job of building a great community, keeping us informed of upcoming features AND asking for our input.
The upcoming features are 10x.
I can't wait for the store to open. Please tell me killer polo shirts and unique gifts just for devs make in before the holidays. Sending my wife up to buy me stuff.
All I can say is thanks to the devRant team and all of the community for the informative, funny and get it off my chest rants. I start and end my day with devRant and enjoy every rant.2 -
Good luck to team devRant at the TNW NYC conference today. We are sure you will make our global devRant community proud as always. Thanks for all you do!
-
twitter: good job, let's promote your profile, but you have to pay us.
devrant: awesome job being involved, here some stickers!
found a much better community3 -
My first few hours on DevRant were awesome !
I got 66+s in my first 6 hrs. I like how open and welcoming the community is.
Also I like the Devrant system, where every user gets a good exposure.
Hoping for a good time here :)3 -
For each day on devrant I feel this place more like a community than a social media. And damn thats good. Thank you all for making my day7
-
!Rant
You know one of the things I love about this community is?
We have such a diverse group of people and even when those who don't speak English natively, they try to on the app as much as possible keeping it consistent. Even when they make some mistakes, no one's a dick about it (from what I've seen), which is awesome!13 -
!rant
Hello world, i've just found this awesome community a few days ago and I cant stop reading.
Anyway, I have a burning question:
Do devRant devs rant on devRant?4 -
how about starting an open-source project where the contributors are the devRant community.
any ideas?44 -
Could you imagine if each ++ you got in devRant was equal to a bitcoin?
Maybe we should make our own community currency. We can call it rantCoin.10 -
RantComics - Make your own devRant based comics with the community!
(Ideas / PRs welcome)
(Subproject of devBanner Org)11 -
Seeing all devrant posts actually give me a feeling of not being alone with my everyday work-related issues. It's good to be a programmer and even better to be a part of a global community.1
-
hello devRant!
i've been lurking for about a week but i finally decided to activate my account and introduce myself :>
this seems like an awesome community and i'm glad to be a part of it!14 -
I want to share with the DevRant community that after a lot of work; today my first IOS app was accepted and published on the App Store.
What a historic day!9 -
Definitly !rant; btw long post ahead
Soooo not so long ago i joined this community by chance just cuz i installed some app randomly found on google store and what can i say. Best decision ever!
I can say i never met such an interesting and diverse communitiy ever and i kin of ground fond of it (i usually dont get too attached to peoples).
After a while i felt the urge to get myself involved into some disscusion at some random post and i did it. But it felt empty as my image was just a plain green bubble of anonymity. But yeh, i am cool with it, i will customize it after some ++es. No problem!
I got incremented for a while and i got to make a simple generic avatar. I felt again a urge, but this time to customize even more. Sadly, anything cool needs approval by the people. Soo i kind of let it go as i am not really the kind to find myself talking in other businesses and i moved over.
Until i saw it! Not the tiger, not the bird but the dog! Annnd i wanted it so i made a joke that i am a wizard with an invisible dog. What can go wrong, right? Well the thing is.. it did not go wrong, as expected, but it went great, kinda unexpected.
How? Well, some random stranger felt me and gave me a hunble chance to get closer to my dreamy real dog. And so it begin, my crusade to get that damn dog!
But what i have realised fast is .. this is not facebook! Nor Instagram! People doesnot upvote attention whoreing or such lowly acts, but they are actually prone to support people who just.. get involved.
And so i did. I got involved. I actually got involved in a community! For a awkwardly introvert person that's something, but maybe more than few of you people can relate to this.
And today i finally reached that goal! I have a real doggo! Well, real as in not invisible, not as in a great responsability, but now i have both. But this was not such a big deal. The big deal is that i found people whos interests are alike to mine and are prone to help, support and befriend others. I must say, thanks to all! Wonderful time, and while i am not here for a long time, i will surely be!
Cheers and dev on!15 -
I fucking love the DevRant community. The amount of honesty here and ranting is 🔥.
Let the rage flow through you and keep it up fam.7 -
Ive been skulking on the shadows here for almost a month. Just reading everybody's rants. devRant and its community has made even the most boring days worth while. Thanks to everyone.2
-
Today is my devRant cake day! 🎂
Thanks everyone for making this community so great! This year on devRant has been so enlightening!1 -
Back in the days DevRant used to be a small community. A rant would be seen by all, with a higher chance of marking the stress ball incentive target.
Now, those upvotes are distributed among many more users who have the privilege of upvoting to what they find more interesting.
However, this is not a rant about who has a better chance of winning a stress ball; it's about feeling proud how this community grew so healthy, and tailor made for developers!! :)
Kudos! I love this community6 -
Is it strange that I'm getting more constructive advice from the Devrant community than the co-workers around me?
No lie, I discovered gistboxapp, vue.js, hacker noon and a bunch of other cool stuff through here.4 -
Hello * ! I'm browsing devrant since few months and finally subscribe.
As a GNU/Linux user and Free software supporter I really appreciate to not be forced to be logged to use this app. And the community is great ! Thanks to the developers and the community for this awesome app !2 -
Hey all! It's a me, Skayo, you might know me from the very early years of devRant, my highlight bot, my random quote bot, the devRant-Community on GitHub or any of the dumb rants and things that I've posted during my time.
Since I'm currently doing a cleanup of my old GitHub repos and this platform is still somewhat active, I have decided to pass on or publish all my projects and things I've created for this community back in the days.
Firstly, I have just published and transferred the source codes for the @highlight bot, the @RandomQuote bot, the @here bot, and some weird bot framework to the devRant-Community GitHub organization (https://github.com/devRant-Communit...).
Feel free to check them out if you've ever wondered what awful, awful code was running in the background all these years!
Secondly, I am offering any of the following to anyone who's interested:
- Ownership of the "devRant-Community" organization on GitHub (https://github.com/devRant-Communit...)
- Credentials for the @RandomQuote devRant user
- Credentials for the @highlight devRant user
- Credentials for the @here devRant user
- Credentials for the @devNews devRant user
- Ownership of the "devNews" Discord server
- Ownership of the "Community Programming Book" Discord server
- Anything else that I've forgotten about, maybe check the comments
If you're interested, message me on Discord "@skayodev" or anywhere else I am active under that alias (f.e. Telegram).
I might do a little background check to prevent abuse and I AM NOT SELLING THEM, just giving them away.
Thank you devRant for all the fun we had together and for introducing me to some of my current best friends :)
A thank you especially to @dfox and @trogus, who have created this amazing platform! (and sorry for all of the bullshit I did back then lol)
I wish you all the best <3

@dfox created devrant to rant and after creating it he felt so satisfied by the appreciation and community , that he left with nothing to rant about.3

The devRant community seems to hate everything I love in coding xD
However, we all still relate to the same rants ;)

Long story short:
I dont have many friends, I'm isolated in my home, for the first time in 25 years I actually felt like my birthday is worth celebrating but Im alone because corona.
Therefore I'd like to ask you to drink a glass of your good (or other) booze at 23:00UTC (Which is midnight here) to celebrate the first bday party I never had and to celebrate DevRant as a great community and each of you, the members.22 -
I have to say that DevRant community is good. Read my previous posts, I have been facing office issues and mostly everyone responds positively.
Keep up the good work DevRant community!!!3 -
I was reading devrant.
Obviously I was laughing while reading different rant's.
My curious friend
F: what are you reading? Look's something funny.
M: devrant
F: what?
M: it is developer's community.
F: show
*After reading few rant's*
F: 😪
Nothing interesting
M: don't ask me again about your pc , mobile, software issues
😏2 -
I love this app. With such an active community, it's heartwarming to see things like "dfox +1'd your want", and not uncommon. We are part of a wonderful app where you can tell the devs care because they themselves are super active users of the app too.
Much appreciation devs and other community celebs, keep on being awesome.1 -
I was wondering, where the devRant community comes from. Where are you guys from?
I am from switzerland96 -
Everything about devRant and its community is just amazing. Big S/O to @dfox and @trogus for keeping up this level of interaction! ❤️❤️1
-
More like a confession it is
I'm a newbie programmer
Just by scrolling the feed and reading the comments here i've learnt much more than i could from books
so turns out devRant is a great community!4 -
Man, where have I been all these days. devRant feels like some place I belong to. awesome community! loving it!!3
-
That awkward moment when your reputation on DevRant is better than your reputation on StackOverflow... I've failed the community :(4
-
After a year of lurking on devRant I'm giving it the support it deserves.
- Awesome design
- Awesome community
- Awesome app
Thanks you devRant9 -
The mail found my stickers!!
Thanks devRant devs!
I'm super glad I found this community, you guys are making me pull out less and less hair and helping me laugh5 -
This community is amazing. I started developing an app from scratch, with no knowledge of how to do it but this community has helped me so much. I have just started it, been a few days but devRant is what got me into coding in the first place. I was more of a hands-on electronics/mechanical engineering kinda guy but this has been amazing and I might just switch to computer science branch for my engineering. Thanks devRant and the community :)8
-
When I share jokes posted on devRant with others people don't get it. If they get they don't find the humour.
Happy to have a community of geeks,nerds,weirdos,outsiders.2 -
Devranter for less than 2 months and I can already say I've never used a social media (or whatever it is) platform more than devRant :) Thanks to this awesome community!1
-
Some of the best mentoring has actually been from the devRant community on how not to get burned out as a developer.
Take it section by section. Don’t spend a lot of time on one part. Work on it for a bit then move on to a new part and so on.
Thanks devRant Community -
Thank god there are no Community Moderators on devRant... I just fucking have StackOverflow/Quora, they just don't let a newbie rise on those platforms... I love this place though.6
-
The DevRant community has such nice people, I wonder if anyone has used the downvote button even once. I haven't!13
-
Wow! Amazing article today about our beloved devRant community on Forbes.com http://forbes.com/sites/...1

Thanks everyone for showing your love for devRant Community! I really appreciate all of those who shared their desk setup pictures here 🙌🏼 Stay tuned & keep ranting 🤗11

The devRant July 13 update and roadmap is amazing. Great recap of recent happenings and the map to an exciting future.
I am proud to to be part of this wonderful community.

Happy birthday devRant!
I miss those early days which had more rants but still, to the best dev community ever 🍺 🍻🍻🍻 -
I like devRant because it's like 9gag, but with more relatable stuff, great community and I think that I learn a thing or two by being here. I love it :)
-
devRant community is so awesome. I recently joined and everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Thanks! :)10
-
devRant is the only community I have seen so far that allows users to have hyphen '-' in their usernames.2
-
Hello devRant. I finally joined after lurking for a few days on the app. This community already feels awesome 🙌4
-
maybe it's time feature is added for devrant simple community dev projects. there could be games, parody websites, you name it. projects could be hosted on github, and indexed at a "projects" tab here on devrant, so we can choose something and start rolling with our pals from devrant when we get bored at work :) @dfox (inspired by rant from @Notebookdeviant)3

I want to start a community of advanced cli devs, but, idk.
Y'know, a bunch of people who make shit like spotify-cli, devrant-cli, pornhub-cli, the sort.5 -
Yay ...hello all I'm new to Devrant. And I am loving it, community here is vibrant, funny and geeky :).I was at stack exchange, considering switching to devrant :)6
-
Dear Devrant community,
please, tell me that I can report Safari's JavaScript debugger as a bug... Yeah, the whole debugger.
I can't stand anymore on how much it sucks!2 -
One thing I wanted to say here before:
The more the community of DevRant grows, the more "repeated" posts it will have. It's totally usual on social networks when they start to grow.
So, instead of saying bad things to people who post the same stuff, just ignore it and keep the community growing. :)2 -
For the amount of things I learn from devrant & it’s community, I have to give you credit. This community has really helped me in the path of success and progression, so I want to thank you all sincerely for this :)14

Devrant could have plugin support and the community could add plugins for clients to download.4 -

My answer is simple. It's by creating a community like @devrant.
Thank you guys for this amazing platform. -
I'm a twitter kinda guy but after downloading this app from the "recommend" section on Google Play, I'm now a devRant guy. Can't get enough of ppl complaining about stupid stuff. It's great fun. Some rants are just 11/10. Lovely community.1

To anyone who was asking about my github and the devrant tampermonkey filter - I finally linked it now on devrant (most browsing the devrant github issues, probably guessed it anyway) and I am now going to finally again start trying to give back to the github community - which is basically what I had planned to do in 2018! really excited to start fresh again! 😊4 -
They will be the first stickers on my laptop. Thanks devRant for hours of fun in this great community!
-
Devrant Community: Why is the user base shrinking?
Also Devrant Community: Fuck you green dot! You are the scum of the world. Fuck your mom, fuck your asshole with a giant npm download. If I could zip bomb all of your devices I would. We need a green dot genocide!
PS: It is not that I disagree with our welcoming committee. It is more of an observation. I am pretty sure I participated in this behavior.21 -
So...Microsoft is releasing a Linux based IoT OS. What does devRant community has to say about it?9
-
Happy Birthday devRant. Still the best community for devs and future devs.
I hope this will still grow and become more recognized in the future1 -
When will devRant support code blocks?
Like `code here`
Or:
```
Code here
```
I mean it's a programmer community...8 -
Shout out to the devRant community, thanks David and Tim for the stickers. They arrived in The Netherlands.6
-
The new devRant avatar feature is so cool and there are so many ideas for customization being posted. Maybe at some point our dev community can build and submit custom devRant avatar objects according to devRant specs. I might even try to build a Bernoulli box 😀
Thoughts?1 -
What do you think of Allo? I deeply respect devRant community members opinions.
I am going to give it a whirl this weekend.6 -
Am I the only one missing ``` // some code ``` backticks/tags (the ones that convert wrapped text to monospace code) here? @trogus -- Since this is a dev-oriented community.. could this be an area to improve devRant?2
-
!rant, just asking the wise devRant community for advice:
What is a good laptop that works well with linux? Thanks in advance :)11 -
Best part of being a dev is that you get to be part of an amazing community like devRant.
Also the kind of jokes and stories devs get to share and laugh about is beyond anything. 😍 -
Why does DevRant make me feel I'm doing enough during the lockdown whereas the whole world's making me feel like crap and guilty that I haven't done enough.
I fucking love this community.5 -
DevRant may not have such a big community yet, but I wonder whether my coworkers have some posts here.
It would be quite awkward to ask, so I'll ask you.
Have you ever (by accident) met a friend or coworker on DevRant or similar platforms?7 -
Never heard about devrant, seems a good community.
Should we post just about our programming problems or everything is okay?4 -
Finally, I got my stickers from devRant..
Appreciate for that, let's keep this community better for every programmer out there -
I was wondering that we, as a developer, got a platform like devRant to share ideas, talk about things that we like, can understand humour that will bounce out of any non-technical people.
In the entire world, there are so many profession (like doctors, corporate people and so on...,), without a good platform like devrant they are missing on so many things.1 -
Whoever downvoted my previous post, get your cookie dough ass off devRant you fucking weakling.
Never thought we'd have snowflakes in here. This community now has morons.8 -
Big shout out to devRant community. I appreciate that everyone is so cool on here. We all get to appreciate each other's plights and mistakes.
-
Have more ++ on devrant than on stackoverflow. Feels home here. It's fun being part of this awesome community.3
-
I see the devrant community exists on slack.
Is it official?
Any way to get in?
Otherwise, is there an alternative?2 -
Rant = false;
Thanks devRant for making me laugh and I honestly enjoy the discussions, the rants and the community as a whole!
Looking forward to continuing using this app and being part of this community! -
My stickers are finally here and I must say they are surprisingly high quality. Thanks a lot dfox and devrant community 🤘
-
A lot of community projects today...
(i am doing one too)
Anyways, anyone have some good newtonsoft json tutorials?1 -
!rant
I am learning C# and devRant helps me keep my concentration and attention in check during the day. Helps me stay in the zone longer and interacting with a developer community helps me adopt a mindset which helps me absorb a different way of thinking which is crucial for somebody that comes from an "opposite" field - art and design. I would not have been able to have this community "in real life" otherwise.
+ You guys are soo nice, despite the ranting concept of the app :) -
Tfw you comment on somebody's rant which clears everything up but negates what they said so they delete the rant.4
-
Lunchtime mail delivery brought me some decorative goodies! devRant looks right at home on my XPS 13 with the EFF, Tux, and company! Thanks for the stickers and this wonderfully witty community.3
-
During the time I've been part of the DevRant community, I've noticed that users (including myself) sometimes contribute posts that are not quite rants. These are sometimes posts about the DevRant itself, reaching out to the community for assistance on a project, etc.
This inspired me to create an unofficial Slack chat for the DevRant community. I call it MetaRant.

For those who thinks devrant is toxic community, you should visit Lowyat Forum (a Malaysian forum ), they literally speaks as of they are 12.11
-
Crypto Derivatives Exchange | It will be awesome to find here some creative recommendations from DevRant Community2
-
My favourite part is the community. From places like devRant to people commenting on GitHub projects and pitching in where they want to. It's like a family, somewhat.2
-
STICKERS (probably to hide scratches on the back of my surface pro 4)... Thank you, community - and devrant... ;)1
-
Don't think anyone's posted anything like this yet but if they have I haven't seen it. Where do you see DevRant in the future? I'd like to see a forum or something, maybe allowing people to showcase work or get support on projects. Anyone got thoughts on DevRants future or community? I like it so far everyone's nice.12
-
@dfox Is there any devRant advertising available that I could print and hang up in my office. I would like to convince as many as possible of my programmer colleagues to use devRant :)4
-
Deleting 3 weeks worth of work through incorrectly stashing and popping changes. I don't know why it was a good idea to leave my changes untracked.
Please hold me Devrant community.4 -
Grrrrrr!! Wtf,.. my younger brother uninstalled the mighty devrant app coz of memory issue to get space just to install a shitty BBM app!! How can I live without this awesome community. I have just banned him indefinately from getting near my fon... still thinking of grounding him!! How can he do that... undeniably in love with this community2
-
@dfox - yall should publish some metrics on devrant, maybe a punchcard graph for rants per minute? think it would be kind of cool to see how rapidly the community is growing2
-
Successfully completed 6 months on devrant .🔥 I initially joined just for stickers (not received yet : p) but then I realized that this platform have great community (I am getting more than stickers). Feeling blessed for having such a great developer community. Thanks : )4
-
devRant without bugs (there are few), but with all of you (our community). ♥️
Except for the people who post jokes or memes without the appropriate tags!1 -
It's been one month since I joined devRant, the community is awesome and it is good to be here.
It was the second-best suggestion given by Google in recent times. -
Hey @skayo , I want to join the devRant community on github. please add my username @kiranbabumuddam as a member.15
-
New to DevRant and really enjoying this community.
Would appreciate recommendations on similar or related webs.
Thank you in advance5 -
Guys am working on a personal project involving the dev community and wanted to share this survey with you : https://goo.gl/forms/...
@dfox if this is inappropriate for devRant please take it down.
Thanks.2 -
Mr.dfox, you should consider making devRant open source, you have a community full of devlopers after all.5
-
!rant
Ever since I stumbled upon devRant, I have learned so much about the developer community that I had no idea about before. I'm just a lowly undergrad with no real world experience, but this community has provided so much insight of what the real world is like. Thank you, devRant community, for this insight.1 -
! rant and also sorry if duplicate.
Just a shout out the devRant team and devRant community! Just found this article on FossBytes -- http://fossbytes.com/devrant-releas...3 -
Haven’t been on here in ages. People still moaning. Found a rant or two with some severe profanity.
A community of somewhat likeminded individuals who at some point have gone through similar experiences.
I’m back it seems.
(Not today, old friend)1 -
Do other ranters / devRanters / members of this community share or publicise their devRant profile or devRant in general on their personal site or blog?
I was thinking of adding something to my site but not sure what to do?7 -
class Bio:
def __init__(self,likes,dislikes):
self.likes=likes
self.dislikes=dislikes
Sabyasachi=Bio('Python','!Python')
print ('Hello devRant Community. I'm new here')
print ('I don't know why I am writing like this')
while True:
Lets_Rant('😠')5 -
Does devrant has a trello where the community can write improvement ideas, request features and other stuff? I think it's a good idea if it doesn't exist yet. @dfox2
-
I want to make dev community like devRant only for people who lives in my country (because we don’t speak English)
I just know some more community like this.
Can you guys recommend some? -
! Rant
Matrix room for devrant community? I don't know if it has already been asked. And I don't even think there is a lot of people who know matrix anyway. But asking won't hurt :p7 -
Looks like no one really purchased devRant collabs listing yet..all were using there +2000's for there 1 free listing 🤔1
-
Has anybody on here used UNLOQ as a passwordless authentication mechanism. Keen to know if anybody in the devRant community has heard about (or has any opinions of) their recent buyout.4
-
!rant - Does anyone know if there is like a stack overflow (basically a community) that is simply for dev discussion? Like recommendations etc? DevRant is kinda perfect but strictly speaking it's not a discussion community, it's for rants.4
-
Does anyone else just keep on tirelessly scrolling down the rant feed like Facebook? And oh, also read and interact with the rants unlike Facebook where we just "meh" on most of the posts until we find something that catches our eye?
Which is a rare case now. -
Would anyone like to build an app with me? I don't know if this somehow violates ToS, but I appreciate the community here at devRant.. basically its a community upliftment project, to role out to other cities/countries, but initially, we'll need to refine the recipe first..6
-
What if all devRant community works on a global project to kill Google, Apple, Facebook and others? I am a utopian guy, but it would be cool?!?
-
Rather than stickers for +1, would it not be an idea to award for x amount of successful invites to devRant? Keep the community growing etc.3
