Just wrote a (PHP based) proxy which can cache resources being requested and serve them to clients.

The idea is that (I'm going to write a firefox add-on for it too, yes) you can install the add-on and any resource (js/CSS, general web resources which would be downloaded off of googleapi's etc) hosted with Google would be proxied through the server running the proxy, meaning that one wouldn't have to connect to the mass surveillance networks directly anymore as for static resources.

I think checksum verify stuff would still work as the proxy is literally a proxy, the content will be identical to the 'real' resource. (Not sure about this one, enlighten me if this isn't true)

Asking Android developers: I want to learn how to make Android apps. I know a little bit of Java and thus kotlin too. Which resources do you guys recommend?

Any idea to get around the cluster storage limitation?

I have to train a model on a large dataset, but the limit I have is about 39GB. There is space on my local disk but I don't know if I can store the data on my computer and have the model train on the cluster resources.

I LOVED cold fusion. However because of the yearly cost associated with it no one uses it anymore so it's hard to find resources when I run into issues.

So I just switched companies ( free from hell...rants if wanted) and now I'm facing a ton of new things I never worked with. Honestly I'm a little bit scared and thus I want to prepare a bit for the new stuff ahead of me. ( I'm a junior developer with only 4 years professional experience )

What are good resources to get some knowledge in the following topics, so I wont look stupid on my first day at the new company?

Docker
Microservice
DevOps ( CI/CD, Kubernetes )

I know some basic stuff to describe what these words mean but no work experience at all for these. My old work was purely monolithic Java EE 😅

Decompile the Gmail app and check all the xml tags you might have missed.

Remember: UI and most application properties are loaded on the xml codes first (during inflation), then on activities or fragments last (especially if the views are only instantiated).

I just realized that I need to learn a lot of tags today.

Why is it so hard for some programmers to gain the maximum performance and not to waste any resources?

Get new devs machines with 8gb ram and 240gb hdd to teach them responsibility.
Then upgrade them when they threaten to quit.

I would purchase a udemy course and grind away. I still do this today. In my option one of the best resources to learn new programming languages.
