Boss: “Do you think you can work on Saturday? We really need the help.”
Me: “Yes, of course.”
Boss: “Great, thank you.”
Me: “I’ll probably be late, though, as public transport is slow on the weekends.”
Boss: “Okay, when do you think you will be at the office?”
Me: “Monday”.17 -
Listened to the Google product launch yesterday, didn't notice this "feature" until now. Talk about throwing shade.11

I code through the night until 8 am, then sleep until 6pm+.
My family then calls me out as being unproductive and lazy.
Why must the whole world be oriented against night owls like me? 😥15 -
Just going to come out and say it.

Is it normal to deploy a 5.6MB main.css file?
Last week I had to change some shizzle on a website (externally developed).
Well, I was quite shocked...
We usually deploy a single stylesheet under 700 kB.
But also because we never use CSS "frameworks".30 -
I hate the dumbass people that send on slack: "good morning", "good afternoon" or "how are you?" and do not say anything until I reply. If you do this FUCK YOU!! Just ask the fucking question. Now I just ignore everybody until the question is made11

I'm procrastinating until I have more motivation or until the deadline is really close and I have to do it anyways.2
-
My process (still going on):
*Pick a topic/language/anything.
*Read up as much as I can until my eyes start glazing over.
*Try to implement something.
*Screw up.
*Feel bad. Repeat until screw-ups reasonably reduced.
*Success???2 -
To all people who hardcoded stuff like tables in HTML and even rant about how much work this was or how many lines of code they wrote, please stop the madness, please don't talk until you get the basics of programming and why computers are quite handy to handle repetitive tasks.4
-
I'm not going outside until like 3 months after they lift the restrictions. I'll let y'all deal with the bugs and crashes and resurgences. I'm not really an early adopter. I'm gonna wait until they release outside 4.2 the stable patch1

3 projects due tomorrow...damnit procrastination, you got me again.

Never again, until next time.5 -
This week in my school: No access to computers until next week. Magnificent. We don't work with laptops until the 11th grade so... fuck2

Good night! I mean, good morning! -
"No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence." - Terry Pratchett1

I hope I'm not spending several days worth of work rewriting a code base for it not to have any performance benefits at all.7
-
Reading the documentation instead of blindly guessing how it works until something that resembles the solution appears

Didn't realize until lunch that it was Friday today. Programming really makes you lose track of time.1

The weather is playing a cruel game
Past nights: clear sight on the yellowish moon

Me: "How long is it until x date, there is your answer" -
4 hours until major release goes live, should I be worried that the lead dev on handling releases called in sick today? If it goes badly I have no access to fix it until tomorrow.4
-
Anyone else ignore the obvious signals that you're sick until you sound like a batman impressionist?3

Siesta over. Don’t feel at all rested. Probably won’t do much in terms of coding until my boyfriend leaves on Saturday night... although, might be able to slip some in while he’s asleep.
