Reinstalled my dedicated server and realized (afterwards) that I just erased my entire openvpn/mysql auth setup and I don't have an entirely working copy.
FUCK.
Okay, nothing I can do about that afterwards, setup csf right away, monitored the auth log for a minute and noticed one ip which had just connected and found it weird somehow. Blocked the ip.
Then, one second later, as my console stopped responding and that ip address suddenly looked veeeery familiar, I realized I just blocked myself. (the blocks persist across reboots)

Went to the control panel and hit the reinstall button. Confirmed, and two seconds later I realized I could just have connected to any of my own fucking vpn services to unblock myself.

I had my first nightmare in years:
I was at work, and suddenly saw that my NS has changed for my personal domain. I also saw that the domain has transferred to another provider and a company had bought it and had it for sale for $7000.
I woke up, but it took 10 minutes before I realized it was just a dream.3 -

Companies can't use free software?
Well, I just forced everyone to use Nextcloud instead of Dropbox and Google Drive. People did not like it as first but the quickly realized how good it was.
We also moved from skype, teams and slack to matrix.

Wrote angular service, named it "MongoService", handles calls/requests to mongodb. Spent an hour wondering why it wasn't running one of my functions from controller. Just realized I am calling MangoService instead of Mongo. Lord help me.2

...i just remembered why I have a MasturbatorPattern repository on my bitbucket, why is it named that way, and what it does.
It's one of the core abilities of that magical AI i've mentioned in my previous rant. And it's called that way, because of how it works:
The Agent has some objects (as in, class instances) available to it, and wants to get some other kind of object. So it inspects by reflection ("touches") all objects around itself, inspecting their public functions, building up a plan/path/tree of "this function takes the object I have as input, and returns this other object which this other function of other object takes as input and returns this different object, which...." etc, etc, until the final function returns the object the Agent wanted to get in the first place.
And then it goes and "does" all those functions, in that order piping the parameters through.
So first it touches them (second layer of metaphor - linux finger command), and then it does those which output (ejaculate =D) something useful to it.
Therefore, MasturbatorPattern =D

Today I just realized that a program I deployed was running without DB for almost a week. Thought it was populated suring the deploy.

We got to a point where I transpile typescript to react to es6 to plain es5. Just so that the browser could compile the code to bytes.

Just finished a 18 hour coding day (It‘s 5:30am here). I just realized that coding is one of the few things I really get in the zone (flow state). It‘s so awesome how I can forget everything around me and be 100% focused on what I‘m doing. And the best thing: I really feel relaxed now.5

Just realized Windows 10 update "Restart Now" button doesn't have a confirmation/cancel screen unlike the normal power options.

And the older one may have been better and cheaper.. KCups are expensive and the machine makes it very watery....

Then I realized one of my extensions was overriding the authentication token (as I configured it to do that for a dashboard) and that was why BitBucket was inaccessible

Export data from a database that you've not modeled is a problem (sometimes), I just realized that this DB has two tables to storage cities, the main difference is the id, the other fields are the same in both tables, I hate that kind of people....

Spent hours synthesizing few novel ideas on Notepad, and then did Ctrl-A, Ctrl-X so I could just paste it in my private blog. The blog wouldn't respond, ssh'd into the server to troubleshoot, and then realized my habitual use of Ctrl-C destroyed that very content I spent hours on. Everything seemed fine until I realized the laptop had UEFI. I always used easyBCD but this won't work sadly. MS blocked some features.

There's a command named "SaveNew..." and "Create...". I wonder what is different between them. I asked my colleague but his answer wasn't clear for me. Then I take an examination by myself.
After my examination, I realized that "SaveNew..." is just a normal save command that save an existing object. So why they add "NEW" in command name?
