Under settings, we made a checkbox labeled “Run Program Faster”. The state was saved but it didn’t do anything.
We turned it “on” when people said things were slow. Usually they were happy and no one complained the “run faster” option wasn’t working.29 -
I'm 40 years old today. Feels strange.. and getting older as a developer is not an advantage at all. But I got a wonderful little baby, a wife and a job I (almost always) like! So happy birthday to me 😊15
-
I just finished my thesis defense, one of the committee members obliterated me with incredibly difficult questions but it was so much fun to respond to this 40min smackdown after presenting all my work in 50 minutes. The battle has been won ladies and gentlemen, I am incredibly happy.13
-
I'm here, wide awake at 4:30 am... Not because my brain is stuck on a problem, but because I am so happy with the code I wrote that I'm too excited to fall asleep.7
-
Jingle bells,
Batman smells,
Don't push to prod today!
But if you do,
Make sure you
Test it all the way!
Happy holidays, y'all!4 -
I just got my first set of D&D dice! I know it’s just some metal polyhedra but I’m really happy to have them!15
-
That akward moment when your App finally takes down Pokemon Go down from the first place to second in AppStore but you can not be Happy about it 😑. Katwarn warned the users about the incidents of munich #prayformunich. Good to know people still care about the important things. 🙁3

I am so damn happy right now 😁! Finally I 🎉 released 🎉my own PHP Framework after countless sleepless nights. I'm happy that I want to spend more time looking at my open source project, surfing on same pages than going to bed. LOL! 🤣
Anyway if you're interested please pay a visit on the link below. I will humbly ask your support—a few stars and forks will keep me motivated 🔥 on improving my project. Thank you everyone!
When it comes to PHP frameworks one is forced to choose not the best one, but the least evil.

WAAAAA I JUST GOT HIRED!
Sorry for all caps but I just got hired for a Java traineeship although I have a business management studies background, I'm super happy right now to finally pursue what I want!11 -
Hey Friends of DevRant , this is not dev related but id like to post a picture of one of my happy places in Sydney where i am from :-) I really hope you all like it!
Milo❤️😄23 -
Nothing technical
Just wanna share with my devrant family.
Now I have own restaurant.
Ya ya I know it's nothing techie but I m happy that I own some business and I will test my entrepreneur skills here.
Fucking happy.23 -
So some guy decided to steal my laptop. I don't know if they thought my machine wasn't happy with me or what but whoever did that, all I can say is your time is coming motherfucker.
I will always miss you 😭😭13 -
"our placeholder shows an @ symbol, but please don't use an @ symbol!"
i'm so happy knowing that the devs and designers who created this app are earning 20x what i am
🤡🌎6 -
So my girlfriend decided to surprise me with this cake... I'm happy with it but I feel violated as I'm PHP guy not .NET13

Best current career choice:
Quit to become a Freelancer.
OH BOY did I sleep bad directly after that decision - no contracts, no sales running.
Oh BOY do I now 2 days later sleep like a dam relaxed, happy baby :) - My network for the win!
The days before handing in my resignation I really looked forward to just leaving, but the actual task again was scary. Why? Cause until then future for me was bound to income, job=stable income = happy me, happy wife, happy child.
Now? Just 4 days later, If all goes to plan I'm already overbooked twice. Truth told!: Couldn't have done it without the network that I built over the years where I was employed. Let's see how this works out :)
I stand up with a huge smile each morning: Just a great feeling!5 -
Ending the year on 242!
It's not a big number but considering I've progressed from 10 contributions in 2017 to 242 in 2018, I'm happy!17 -
!rant
Really happy about this one! I cannot go into details yet but hopefully will write a blogpost about it when I may disclose it :)24 -
127.0.0.1 sweet 127.0.0.1
I don't want to leave my bed but it's working time.
Another day of happy coding :)1 -
That moment when you become happy because of another error, at least it could be progress.
depressing but true2 -
Probably it will sound strange or slow to you but my ISP upgraded to optical fiber and now I got 50Mbps from 20Mbps that I had before. I downloaded 1GB file in 3min. I'm so fucking happy.15
-
It sucks, been working in restaurants for 18 years, switched to code, for the best (all details go between these ...) but now it's worst, no job, nothing, a 39 years old junior web dev doesn't exist, getting ready to live outside, happy I found that app tho. You guys are so much fun :)6
-
So a consulting company was hired to write stored procedures for us. I don't know where they found these guys, but the code was horrible and took ages to run.
We other devs weren't happy at all, but management forbade us to rewrite the code, cause the consultants would've gotten money for nothing then. As a "fix", these guys just reduced batch sizes to a very low amount of rows and management was happy that the procedures were so much faster now and gave their ok.
Fast forward a few weeks (to now). Obviously a reduced batch size means the procedures will run faster, but more often and it will take weeks to load all the data we need.
Result: Management ordered us to rewrite the SPs and we're all torn between laughing and crying.4 -
I love how Microsoft updated the user interface for editing the PATH variable in windows. Now it is possible to see all entries in a table, before there was just one textfield with many entries seperated by semicolons (I know the update is already some month old now, but still happy)5
-
Lately I've been losing sleep dreaming about how to fix my code, but client I have been praying hard to make you happy 😜😜3
-
I'm going to quit tomorrow.
I've been thinking about this for a while now, took every aspects into consideration but this job is still a waste of time thanks to some fuckwits in important positions.
Now I feel happy, relieved and calm even though they don't have my resignation letter yet.8 -
Not really a rant but I'm just happy so I must share it.
Two days ago I uploaded a new project on github and today when I woke up I saw it on github trending! Only the C# section though, but still.
Feels weird as I'm usually not upload anything and the ones I have usually sit around 5-20 stars forever.3 -
I don't know why but it smells really nice outside at night and it makes me really happy and relaxed :3
Heck I might just go out for a walk...2 -
So it's December 31st. Also my birthday, but no one is going to celebrate it. Wish I could revert to an earlier version of the program to when people were happy to celebrate it like, friends and family.14
-
I'm really happy today. I'm not sure why, my life is in ruins on many levels, but at work I'm having fun and getting a lot more responsibility now. I even get to lead a meeting on Monday and be part of the management of a project which means I'll have people reporting to me. I suspect it's a sneaky way to get me more invested in the company so I'll want to stay after my studies but I enjoy it regardless. I finally have enough I need to keep track of to warrant carrying a notebook around and it makes me really happy 😂Hope you're all having a great day too!1
-
Not a rant but...
Happy New Year guys!! Glad that I found DevRant and I hope all of you will have a kickass year ahead ❤️ Cheers! 🍻2 -
!rant, just wanted to express my excitement to someone
Not sure if this counts but technically I got my first freelance dev job designing an app for a club/small business at school. I have a lot to learn still but I'm really happy about the opportunity3 -
!rant
I got a promotion at work!
Is it weird that I don't want it because I still feel like I have too much to learn to no longer be a "junior"? I'm happy that my hard work is paying off but I'm worried that this is how bad senior devs are made.7 -
So i finished my first app today and i feel really good, it's not a great app or anything. But i feel good after making something and i am really happy :D5
-
Im oficial! After one year of studying python / django I received an acceptance letter today. When I began, I didnt expected it would be so soon.
It's not my first job, but my first one as developer (will be doing stuff with python / django / pandas)
So Im happy...! Which is rare for me8 -
Yay! Passed advanced programming final test at university with grade 20/20 !
The test wasn't a challenge at all but I'm just happy 😀 -
!rant
Damn github is da shit.
I'm sure all of those people who ranted about committing their passwords and keys will be happy
PS. I don't know if this is new but I'm happy either way :D6 -
Got in trouble today during a Data integrity meeting, everyone kept talking about data massaging. "Massage this data", "massage that data table", "insert massaged data".
Finally I just blurted out, "yeah massage it all you want but how do I get a data happy ending?"
I thought it was hilarious. The other DBA and backend devs thought it was jokes, my manager... Not so much.
Apparently, I need to keep "thoughts and comments about data happy endings to myself moving forward".
Okay. 😆😆5 -
Today my manager got mad at me because of something i said....
Dude i just jokingly said that i didn't appreciate her attitude. Like that was it
The thing is, she didn't get mad at me in a 'i am your boss and you were out of line way"
It was more of a....gf...kind of getting mad sort of deal....and it was really odd.
I know the difference. But either way I only know how to act in 2 ways: make the girl happy or not give a fuck about it.
So i just apologized.
I already got a wife and 2 daughters to keep happy.
There is a limit my dudes, for the ammount of women a straight male can keep happy.15 -
Want to hide this devRant apps on android but how?
Because everytime my wife see this devRant, she say, wtf this app? So many bad word, so many "fuck", you must avoid see bad words too much ,she said. Lol its true but still happy to see it, because its damn true. I love to see people say the truth19 -
Sometimes I miss programming, but then I look at my programmer boyfriend's code and I'm like, "Never mind, I'm okay," and I go back to being carefree and happy while he's going grey from the stress. 🙆🏽3
-
A month ago, I moved to Germany for work from Taiwan. People here are mostly nice and firendly. But if you don't speak German, there will still be lots of problems especially for official paper works.
But most importantly I got really cool and talented colleagues and a challenging job. Which makes me happy at least in work days.10 -
I freaking got the job this Monday!
How I did it? Well I suppose I just match the type of person that the company needs. Not in skills but in soft skills. Communicative, honest, motivated to learn new things.
Finally after 5 month unemployment! So happy :D1 -
My little drawing tablet is finally here! 😁
I have started drawing, but the improvements to my skills are gonna take a loooooooooong time.
Plus, I have a slow and old lappy available now... which freezes in the middle of drawing but oh well! Better than nothing! 🙂 Little improvements matter.
Today was a short exhausting relatively happy day. 🙃12 -
Boss just gave me a bonus out of the blue for my "continuous show of dedication and engagement". Not sure what I did specifically to deserve it, but pretty happy nonetheless!
Not really a rant, I just wanted to share. Spent the whole day smiling like a retard :)2 -
i'm happy to share with you, skyRant, a devRant client is now available in the playstore.
the real devRant app may have been removed from app stores. But devRant will never die!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...16 -
My pain medication makes me drowsy all the time but only lets me sleep at inconvenient times. For example, I got to sleep at 5:30 this morning. Work up at 6:30. But my body will be more than happy to put me to sleep in my computer chair at random intervals throughout the day.
Guess I'll get to work, then?1 -
When I start as a developer I read this:
"I don't mean you're all going to be happy. You'll be unhappy -but in new, exciting and important ways" -
am i the only one who's currently happy using bash on Windows 10?
don't get me wrong. i used to use ubuntu and elementary os for my dev use. but after win10 bash update i can work and play at a same os xP which is FTW for me.6 -
Intel core i3 4th generation laptop
3 years old.
Plays csgo at 70fps lowest resolution 800x600
Thinks of upgrading laptop
Sad, only one memory slot
More sad, maximum 8gb ram support
But happy,
This fucking piece of shit lasted way too long than time itself xD11 -
Hours of refactoring just to get 0.5 seconds increase in performance per document generation.
Sounds small but makes a big difference when generating 100k documents.
Still not happy with it though...2 -
I made it! 5 pull requests for Hacktoberfest :) .
I'm super happy because until now I really didn't know how to help other projects or even have the motivation, but now I can say I have helped a few get their code right :P7 -
Had to deactivate my nightfilter to get blinded, had to tap the ++ button more than double tapping, I should be also sleeping, but happy 20k 🎉🎊3
-
Trigger Warning - Don't date JavaScript developers.
They Promise to Callback but they won't. You'll Await in vain. They don't know how to Express themselves and React to such situations.
You might not be happy to hear this, but I'm trying to save you from a Garbage situation1 -
Took me a few hours, but managed to finally run Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 on my old school Toshiba laptop running Arch Linux xD Still needs some work, but super happy I got it running :D15
-
As a college student, best part of being a dev is when there is no class, but instead of being happy for going home earlier to do whatever like everyone else, my happiness comes from being able to stay late at work, and put that project to roll.
Only developers can feel that. -
So my manager calls me in today and says "Congratulations for getting the excellence award, but I'm sorry we can't give it to you as you're still a contract employee. But hey you did a good job 👍"
IDK if I should be happy or sad. Or just say FUck my luck and get back to coding 😂4 -
Meetings, responding to emails, handling urgent tickets, etc. If I could just get four uninterrupted hours of coding in a day, I'd be happy. But I'm basically in meetings all morning and usually have at least 1 more in the middle of the afternoon.2
-
Happy birthday devRant!
I miss those early days which had more rants but still, to the best dev community ever 🍺 🍻🍻🍻 -
The feeling when you completed all tasks but one in the programming test 😣😩🤪
No, I can't be happy because I could have had 30/302 -
I was very hardworking (at least more hardworking than now)
But recently I've became very lazy , VERY LAZY !
I'm not happy abot that at all.
Any suggestion that'll help ?8 -
Finally, finally, finally! My very first app with React Native is up and running. I know the hard part comes now, but I'm so incredibly happy, considering that I didn't even think I would start developing an app until two weeks ago, let alone learning React...6
-
Previous employer demanded I work on Christmas Day or risk being terminated. Wasn't the final straw (I was young and needed the work) but did start the slow spiral.
I'm grateful now, happy in my current job for about 9 years with plenty of career growth. -
Generally happy about being norwegian but...:
<p>Husk: Du kan ikke bruke i filnavn.</p>
Translated from Norwegian:
"Remember: You can't use in filenames."10 -
Manager redesigned large parts of a website template that I have been working on.
now, this did not bother me one bit but I am pretty sure it has to do with the delivery of the message. She was so happy about the redesign and it really did look better. I could not find it in me heart to not comply and just be happy. Plus she always lets me come in super late :V and she really is pretty and very nice to us.
oh well.2 -
*pointing on IE icon* but does it work on the internet?
Setting my lovely grandma's new router since she now got fiber. Opening Firefox and pages load fast, still had to show that is also worked on "internet" to make her happy2 -
Literally just happened now, happy but surprised. It’s the best feeling ever when it just works though.4
-
Have a positive mindset. If the work in general sucks, you can almost always find some micro or nano task that you can focus on. Then you find something more fun to work with and switch job. But until then, stay positive and be happy. And use devrant to blow off steam.
-
That's true with me in older days I am happy when my code runs without error on first time...but now it seems like borring and error make me happy.😂😂4
-
The coincidence is that I got hired today only! This was my first job interview. I am a student. Not sure if it gets counted as my last job selection but i am super happy. ;)
Thanks devRant for this special topping. 😁 -
An interface is like a pm. It defines the tasks that need to get done, but doesn't know and care about how to do them; if they're getting done they're happy.
-
I did a presentation on a tool I wrote to around 60 people (not a lot for some I know) , but most importantly all the feedback has been positive so I'm pretty happy.5
-
Happy Christmas fuckers.
I don't normally swear, but I'm with family in Ireland and I'm not the designated driver for once, so fuck it.
Have a good one!1 -
I got recognized!
I'm new here and was mostly learning, but my team pushed through some bad issues and I got recognized as well. Even for helping whatever little I could.
For all the rants of bad bosses and clients and work. Here's a happy one. :)
I'm in good company in this company. -
!rant
Migrated a first customer project from ASP MVC 5 to ASP.NET Core MVC 1.1.
Now running under Oracle Linux, with Apache and MySQL.
It's not finished yet but it runs (and I'm really happy with that). I like the new direction with .NET Core, open source and cross platform :-)3 -
It is about 2 years since I started coding and there's a perfect movie quote that describes my life change.
"I was blind, but now I see."
I'm so happy that my life went this way and I'm proud to be developer.2 -
That moment when you are in a meeting with your seniors and no one is accepting your ideas, but you are still happy cause you don't have to work and you can day dream.2
-
the amount of micromanagement enforced in our scrum routine is getting ridiculous... but the PM seems to be happy with this14
-
The happy moment you start a new project a Find that you can use your old code, then realizing you don't remember how it worked but use it anyway.1
-
My University's tech support are all really happy and glad to help people. Was going to look into a student job, but damn no way in hell I could be that helpful and happy lol1
-
During my 2 weeks of vacation I thought I shouldn't spend all the time on private projects but should get my head clear a bit. Wanted to extend our kitchen a little for a long time now anyways!
But obviously DevRant is always on my mind cause after laying down the jigsaw I saw this little guy.. 😜
Happy holidays to all of you! :)1 -
Worst interview question: "How fast can you do x?"
That's depends on the project scope, but I'll just throw a number out there that I think will make you happy. -
Exported my first cutscene into a video from Unreal Engine, I'm unrealistically happy :D
It's just following a course, doing pretty much the same things and it's not nearly perfect, but it's still a nice apartment display with a good amount of details so I'm still proud of myself :)2 -
Why are such many people afraid of dying instead being happy for being still alive?
I mean - if you die, it happens within some seconds ... done.
But on the other side, every other minute of your life, you just don't die.
So dying is statistically negligible.18 -
So happy right now! Went to an interview not actually knowing it was an interview (my fault) I just moved half way across the world and was worrying big time about Gettysburg ng a job and feeling some imposter syndrome but luckily they somehow saw that I might actually have some talent and I start Monday! Can't put into words how I am feeling right now ! P.s happy Thanksgiving everyone3

Designed and written > 1.3k lines of code this week and 98% test coverage..
CI and CD set up and working..
Was a Long week and very exhausting but I feel really good now, happy to start the weekend with whiskey and beer.
This is gonna be one of my most productive sprints so far..
Hope you all had a successful week as well.
Happy Friday 🍻
And please don’t start with any „that’s nothing, I’ve written 5k lines ones“ comments.. It‘s professional, stable, optimized code and code I can actually be proud of.4 -
Hey Code-tards,
We're announcing a new update to our software `FUCK YOU` to include a new 'feature' no one asked and would give a FLYING FUCK about, but we were sitting on our MOTHERFUCKING ASSES and had to justify our salaries somehow.
So this new feature really just makes your life horrible by taking away or breaking all useful features you were PERFECTLY HAPPY with before, but FUCK YOU if you aren't happy with it and don't throw half of your salary our way every month.
Remember our library you were perfectly OK with, that u integrated in your codebase? DEPRECATED from this second onwards. WHY? BECAUSE FUCK YOU ! That's WHY.
Oh yeah, and one last thing before we make your life a living hellhole, give us your SSN, credit card(s) and mortgage payments to us, you money-hungry CUNT. Haven't you heard the phrase already? YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY.2 -
My non-dev friends on Facebook are spamming with "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year". I didn't respond to them, I know am being rude but it's worth it.3
-
They're here!! the stickers !! YESS!! my fucking colleague kept saying, "this is India, nothing can reach here", but Im so happy that it arrived Thank you devRant !10
-
Extensible event system design in c++ - but also includes built-in static types for uniformity and performance.
Happy with it!13 -
My employer is a good person. He is very money-minded, but since he is a very good person, that's not the only thing in his mind.
I'm happy to work here ☺️3 -
I really like DevRant, but why can't an avatar look happy, is it because most developers hate their jobs, because of clients or what not?12
-
Holy fuck !!! I don't know how but I just changed my username again. Few days ago I had changed my username for some reason and thought I won't be able to change it again in future for 6 months. But booya, I got my old one back 👍, never felt so happy finding a bug.6
-
I am happy about a lot of code i have written but most recently speaking, the fuck you github page mentioned in https://devrant.com/rants/4934026/...1
-
Stroking my own pickle a bit with this one but pretty excited that a YouTube video I did in one take and am not entirely happy with my explanations hit 1000 views... Really should make another one aye...
-
Really hate that Motorola are quite happy producing shit iPhone X knockoffs but they can't create a moto 360 gen 3... Priorities guys!
(I wear the gen 2 and I think we can all agree it is fucking A grade) -
I may or may have reached peak performance now
Like what the fuck is up with these GitHub followers like sure I did work for a startup for months but hot damn 147.
I don't know if I should be mad or scared or cry or be happy.6 -
Moving from Windows to Linux. Painful but happy. Need to see what to keep and what not. I hope my Kaspersky will run on Linux6
-
Can any regular job make a person happy? No matter what the pay or content of the job is, I get bored easily and disappointed at myself.
I have more fire inside me when I am doing personal projects but am not entrepreneur myself either.9 -
Sorry, I have to say this. I get patriotic at times.
Asian Cup 2019, we Vietnam had made it to Quarter Finals after defeating Jordani in the penalty shots.
I'm happy. It's stressful watching the shots. It's stressful watching the match but I'm happy. We're happy.
And now back to homework.2 -
Four and half months,
Hundreds of hundreds PRs and one additional product cluster
By 6 Engineers..
To 500+ micro services
Which has no timezone or currency context,
Created by 250+ engineers,
To launch in a new country...
It didn't make me happy.
But the feedback from customers and drivers is priceless and #heartwhelming14 -
Is there a dev who knows a good webpage to get started with kotlin and spring?
I've searched a lot but can't really find something good. So I'd be very happy :)
Thank you7 -
Had a better day with i3wm and Linux. Did a lot of futzing with config files and got it looking pretty cool. My status bar is relevant, urxvt is transparent, I'm happy with it.
I would have taken a screenshot to share with you all but uhh... I don't know how yet. :/6 -
Thinking about taking part in a two colour game jam on the weekend, I'm thinking some kind of retro space adventure game.
(I'm not the best pixel artist, but I'm pretty happy with how this mock-up looks)6 -
I’m currently still looking for a new job after two very, very horrible jobs. My doc said I’m worked out and shouldn’t work for a while because it really has some physical negative effects.
I always feel unenthusiastic, have breathing problems, crumbly, sweaty hands all the time.
But just today the CEO of a company I know from a previous customer texted me on behalf of another company which I’ve worked for where I was extremely happy. Sadly, that company wasn’t quite the focus I had as programmer.
But I’m happy to slowly be known in the industry around me and look positive in the future.8 -
So I had two job interviews yesterday. Except they both got cancelled due to the snow. Luckily I got them both rescheduled to next Monday. But I wasn't happy about the weather ruining my carefully crafted plans. Work gets more toxic by the day and I want to get out of here.2
-
I seriously don't get it guys, can you answer to this post with your job and the os you use?
I'm a games developer and I'm happy on Windows,I couldn't even imagine switching to Linux or Mac, but everybody's on either a Mac or Linux.
I have to know why.41 -
So my MacBook's trackpad was behaving weird since this morning. Touch was working fine but for clicks I had to press down hard. Annoyed me all day. Then suddenly now it's fixed itself. So now I'm happy about it but im like, why, how. :/4
-
These are my stickers, there are many like it, but these are mine!
@dfox thank you for the stickers 👍
Happy Ranting!1 -
Animator for 15+ years. Started self learning python a few months back. I made my first useful app today... Move the cursor every 10 seconds. 2019 is off to a good start.
I'm new to programming but I already love devRant.
Happy New Year everyone! 😀5 -
DAMNIT. I love Netflix, I do, but if you want to really stop the illegal downloading in the long term then don't remove series or movies I'm watching.
I get it, it's these big companies pulling their content but it's just so backwards.
Happy new year!5 -
its time to back to university. these days were so relaxed. walk around on a different city, talked with my friends.and take many beautiful photos.😏a little tired , but happy.1
-
I mentored at a teachers workshop (Code Create Teach) as a high school student once. But the teachers didn’t seem to happy having a kid teach them though.
-
Before wk200 roles around I'd like to finish my little indie game. I'm using unity to create it and it's the first game I've ever made. It's been taking me a while but I'm hopeful.
Also happy wk100!4 -
I made test library a bit happier. Rainbows, fires and happy faces. Before the happy faces i had traditional dots. This is more cancer. I like it. My applications looks much more modern now.
The emoticon list is made by gpt but i've added a simple search function that finds an emoticon if you put a part of the description. It doesn't have to be exact. printf("%s",remo_get("books")) for example.
I need a life10 -
I overhauled an entire program, and everyone is really happy with the results. But the best part, I predicted that it would take 2 months to complete, and then I completed it in two months.
The overhaul was a beast, mind you; swimming through backend spaghetti code and having to redo the entire front end was tiresome, but I'm happy with the results.
More importantly, i'm really happy that people are no longer complaining about crashes. Our original program suffered from some really horrible crashes; some crashes that couldn't even be explained by stackoverflow. Whatever I did during the overhaul corrected for these weird errors.
Time to celebrate. Before more minor bugs are found by users. (i.e. Universe always makes a better idiot) -
Got selected for an internship and I was really happy. But I am the only one selected and the company is a startup and i am responsible for the entire fullstack development of their site with no technical senior...... I am so nervous and scared to make a mistake...6
-
Fuck yeah!
Had my first job interview ever today!
Not gonna say it was very good but it definitely wasn't the worst!
Let's see if I get a happy reply!2 -
it's only 9:12 AM in the pacific northwest but hey happy new year all you people in eastern timezones7
-
My mum was programming at high school. It was COBOL, but she never used it again. So thats how she lost every sense for programming. Even like 2 months earlier, she thought I am just playing games and watching videos, but then we finally had a talk and she understands now. I am happy.
-
My first django website going into dev environment. (Management portal for company's license management)
I know there will be a river of bugs but, still I'm happy.
Also, this was the first assignment on my first job. -
I watched the movie 'happy deathday' today. It really isn't a horror movie but I was thinking of version control the whole time.
The point where she wakes up all the time is the master branch and the different days she experiences are different branches.3 -
No rant today. I'm actually really happy where I am. There are things that can be improved from a stack perspective, but I'm happy to have a good supervisor who's supportive of my training.2
-
Love writing comments, hate writing documentation.
Ugh, I know it is needed but just don't care about it as much as the code/comments which is a more direct 'here is what this does' approach. Writing idiot proof documentation sucks. Any little change? Have to remember to update the docs. Yeah, not happy.1 -
I started playing Counter-Strike 1.6 at the age of 11. Soon after that, I wanted to own a server. I've managed to create a server in the following weeks but I wasn't happy, I needed custom plugins but I didn't have any programming skills. And that's how the journey started.
-
A friend told me he added a user to the linux-box and by misstake set the homedir to /
Ahh damn well I just delete the user but forgot to skip the -r flag. Happy times.
(-r means remove homedir)2 -
Had to fix all bugs of my colleague this night because our client was not happy.
Before he joined us he worked as a database admin and now he wants to learn web dev and coding. But he did so bad mistakes like endless loops or requesting api 5 times.
In so tired now, happy when its christmas -
I should be learning angular2 now. But I am happy with angular1 why should i learn angular2. It's so easy i heard6
-
Good oop is hard to implenent and keep track off in my experience.
I have seen projects so hard which have such large hierarchies and reused components that even the most minimal change breaks an entire change. Dependency injection is a pretty cool tool to use, but I have seen more people fuck it up and make something that supposedly removes tightly coupled components be the extreme opposite.
Remember your basics people. Fuck
Ok everything is good now. Happy thoughts...nuthing but happy thoughts16 -
I'm not perfect. I've made fuckups. But most of the fuck ups I've made have been in unimportant code that wasn't used by anyone (part of the reason I'm not super happy with my job but whatever). But I've just found a fuckup that was in code that did matter...4
-
Wooh! I finally have some work, I'm now the composer for a small dev team, unpayed of course, but this is a fangame, a passion project. I'm so happy!4
-
It works. My code fucking works. It shouldn't. I got tons of errors, I changed to some obscure shit, expecting it to fail, but it fucking works. I should be happy, but I'm mad for not understanding how.3
-
I feel so fucking happy, today i was accepted as a new Dev on a new Job, I will need to move and leave some things, but man, I was really thinking that maybe i wasn't enough for this country
-
happy new year everyone! not that anything ever changes, but hope is free 😅
i wish all of you a year with very little reason to rant ✨1 -
So some people will be happy, but LibreOffice 6 will introduce a MS Office 2007-like ribbon thing.
It's optional for people who prefer the old version, but it may bring more people into LO. That's cool.

What to do when you think a junior is working hard, you're generally happy with quality, but speed is way below where it needs to be?14
-
More beer and more music. Who needs more in life? 😌
Maybe I don't understand myself. But I understand that I'm happy. And that's what counts15 -
Sometimes I get so excited about doing something that I'm genuinely happy. But when the initial high fades and I'm ten layers of complex code problems deep I always remember how useless I really am
Oh but this time it's gonna be different.
yeah right4 -
Started my PhD today. I feel so out of my depth, but so happy to be challenged at the same time. It's a weird combination.3
-
Keeping the clients happy is very important but when you have alot of shit to do, being a glorified helpdesk bugs me the fuck out. My inbox is screaming at me: "Please no more... Master please end me!".
-
So I was doing random changes to get the output. Got partially correct output. Got happy. But I don't know which change is responsible. Dafuq moment!
-
I am a frontend dev but please don’t trust me 100% with responsive, works in every browser, animation heavy, top of the line, UIs.
Also I don’t know how to work with Wordpress.
Also don’t ask me questions about Webpack, Node, or anything related to builds/configs. (I will be happy to google search my answers for you tho)
But I am a frontend dev.5 -
Phew.. My exams are now over (almost...next in 23 days). Now I can continue development. I'm so happy today. But tired too. It feels good coming back here.6
-
I'm happy to be getting a raise, but why do I have to have lunch with the boss to get it? I don't want to hang out with him.1
-
Convinced someone to start using ubuntu. Now we spent 25 mins getting mySQL and workbench to work. He was getting pretty frustrated, but then we got it working and he was so happy about it.
Now he knows.
No turning back.1 -
Update to my laptop rant: https://devrant.com/rants/1822853/...
I finally got my gaming laptop back, with its motherboard changed under warranty, which was nice. Now all I gotta wait for is 1 month worth of Windows updates. Fun! -
If you're looking to buy IoT stuff, you should try Xiaomi. Not only their stuff works, even when you block Xiaomi servers, but it can still be controlled remotely from an independent server. Although they are probably not happy about that lol. (i realize how much this sounds like an ad, but I'm too excited that it actually works :D)4
-
So I rush to job just to find a power outage on the building , don't know if I should be happy to have "nothing" to do or be sad cause I have a lot to do but can't 😓
-
Was trying to find the option for sharing a video with start at specific time.. accidentally stumbled uppon this.. was pissed at first for hiding start at option, but found this, so now I am mildly happy and amused..8
-
Cheated with my beloved 'optimization' to make a go around that fucking bug and then the temporary work around turned out to be nice feature. Great!! 😑 But I am not happy :( fml1
-
Best: i learned a lot this year, cant really highlight anything but i got better at networking stuff, im happy about that
Worst: using xamarin forms probably, it was a literal hellhole and midway through the project microsoft abandoned winphone so there was absolutely no reason to keep using that shit -
Hey everyone, today i got the very good surprise to receive a package i was waiting a little late but I'm happy to show you my new keyboard! (Christmas gift) aaaaaaaaah, it's look very nice, it feel perfect (tried few sentences), and got few features. (weather shown... But there is a project progression tracker), let's try!4
-
The moment you're declaring variables but keep writing "ASS" because you're typing too fast...
Happy Monday!11 -
We have a company policy of “you kill it you fill it.” We get free coffee here, it’s nice, I’m happy - but notoriously I’m the only one filling it for the whole company!! So I did the unspeakable today...
Fill the damn coffee. Thanks.6 -
At work I am "the" programmer and is the first time in which I actually enjoy showing different solutions to problems without having a fear of implementing large things without having any form of recognition.
Seeing someone get happy because of something you created is a great feeling and even tho most of us are misantrophic af we can still appreciate bringing happiness through code.
To me, software engineering is the closest thing to magic and I really believe that.
Two days ago I showed my manager a little utility to build small portions of the site we are building and make changes to it in real time without browser refreshes for whatever change she would like to do. She was super happy and excited and it made me feel real happy.
Such great feeling man. Nothing but good vibes brother!! -
Is it sort of silly to work remote, but from a different place (library, shop, mall)?
I've had one remote job in the past, but start another tomorrow and I'm hoping to try to work from different places.
All of the posts of folks with their laptops on beaches, looking at waterfalls, and such make me happy.10 -
I get invited to happy hour and get togethers all the time but don't want to go. Stop inviting me to shit. I'm sick of thinking up excuses. There are only so many times I can say my kid has something going on.2
-
I wrote some code in a different pattern than that was seen in the project. Got positive comments, but the senior said that as per the project rules you are not supposed to write like this.
So ended up writing some duplicate code but somehow it incorporates my pattern and existing project rules.
Should I be happy or sad? -
Fuck this god damn router. Up to now I was really happy with the router/modem my ISP gave me (UPC Connect Box) but today I set up pi-hole on my raspberry and found out that I can't change my fucking routers DNS settings....11
-
Not in a row but had to work 13h per days for 5 days in a row because of a huge ass integration I had to do before it was too late.
Made it, everyone was happy, was promised a bonus, never got it. Nice.1 -
Happy Monday Ya'll, may your code be bug-less and JIRA unfilled.
(I know none of this will happen but damn it dream will you) -
For months had a static clicking very faint noise on my creative speakers. Googled every issue with my x-fi titanium, swapped pcie around, changed cables you name it. In the end I blamed "dying" speakers amp as they have 10 years now only to realize a minute ago it was interference from the fecking cell phone's 4g...1

[wk237 - how you know you got good at programming]
idk, i dont think im good, ive got to a point where i can just eyeball those stupid interview questions, which makes me happy, but thats just basic logic -
"We don't really understand what you are doing, by we are happy that you are happy" So pretty great. My brother seems to be proud (has bachelor in CS, but doesn't work in IT)2
-
am I the only one for whom all of the ++ notifications are just white noise?
i mean... I'm happy that my text/thought was good enough for you to be worth of one mouseclick, but I don't care.
give me an actual human thought/response.
anything else is worthless or irrelevant, really...7 -
Anyone else celebrating new years alone at home? My "friends" are having a party somewhere but didn't invite me cause why would they? 🤷♂️
Anyway, happy new year. Hope you're having a better time than I have.1 -
!rant
Today I got an interview for a cool job: Comissioning engineer with focus on PLC-programming.
So nervous, but so happy at the same time.3 -
Job post I saw today. They are either looking for:
- C/C# Dev to the company
- HAPPY Frontend dev
- Java Dev to the company
Well now.. only the front end gets to be happy but doesn't know where to work while the other two can be grumpy and know they'll work at the company? 🤔4 -
Finding a good Linux distro, part 3:
I am happy now. KDE Neon running very smoothly and...now you certainly will not believe me, but with least memory. 400MB of RAM after start up. That is stunning! Stock Ubuntu runs about 800-900MB on the same machine, holy shit!3 -
I'm not talking machine code level here, but purely from a personal development angel - how deep are you happy to go to understand the 'stack'? Is understanding the current top level framework enough?4
-
we destroyed our planet forever, but for a really really short time, we made shareholders really really happy3
-
My tokenizer can how tokenize many statements rather than just a single statement. ^_^ I'll make it open source once I've done a bit more work on it but so far I'm happy.9
-
I've been looking for the source of the bug for 4 hours at least.
Tipical, it was an i I wrote for a j.
I wrote yesterday.
I'm angry, but very happy because it was the only thing left. ☺️3 -
No ranting here but
Started doing web with POCO in C++. Could not be as pleased as now. Syntax is cool, framework is cool, GNU Makefiles are cool, aclocal isn't, but... Go to hell automake. I am happy, helping a friend and enjoying what I feel as the chilliest programming language is becoming the way I do web. -
I am happy today cause I manage to write a query in which two table have inner join and with third left .. haha...
I mean I was thinking of handling that situation with foreach.. But managed to do it in query by myself :)
Just hoping that query won;t break for different scenarios. But let just be me happy while it last .. I mean my client make some test -
Cox may crap out a lot, but I am pretty damn happy with my connection speed. This is all the way at the far end of my apartment too. #FuckYeah!6
-
Hey you just reminded me it's my Mom's birthday too! Happy birthday devRant (and Mom, but my Mom is not on devRant, that I know of, yet)!
-
I don’t really regret anything because I’m extremely happy with my current situation, but maybe I should’ve gone for a CS degree to make my life a bit easier. But who knows if it would’ve made things better or worse, I’ll never know.
-
I know I shouldn't do this, but I'm so frickin bored I end up resuming tasks from work here at my parents' house, in my old bedroom.
Anyway, merry christmas and happy holidays! -
When you are going to open an existing project, and you find the terminal already open in the project directory, Its makes you so happy.
But after a short moment you close everything.1 -
Just heard today that our team's senior dev might be leaving soon after fresh challenges and opportunities. I'm happy for them, but it's sad to think about that they won't be around soon anymore..2
-
Had to write a recursive MySQL query today and, oh lordy! It's not intuitive at all.
It works now so I'm happy, but I spend more time on it than I'm willing to admit...
(source: https://mysqltutorial.org/mysql-rec...)2 -
When no one in the industry knows you because you still didn't land your first dev job, and you're not happy where you are,, but recruiters gotta lie to sound appealing!
-
Man my gf is awesome and actually takes interest in my tech adventures, but she gets so angry when I stay up late coding. So I wrote in a extra line of code in her software to make her more happy. Unfortunately it caused a buffer overflow.
-
I had a call with my mentor today and after 6 months of hardwork, she finally gave me a go ahead to move to engineering. I am so happy but terribly emotional that I did it. I am so relieved but such a mess.
Fuck that mofo who shattered my confidence all those years ago. I wanna kick his ass. Beware of sweet talking startup founders who have nothing to show for but everything to say about. -
After far too many hours dealing with unproperly behaving click listener and lost references, I just found out that the real problem was with poorly handled async DB access.
Frustrated but happy to find the problem source.
I believe everyone have the same from time to time. At least now I can share my feels with you.
But... time to move forward! -
So there is this project from hell that ive been working on for 6 months...
We have won an award for it. First reaction when i heard it was nominated was: Do you think i’m happy with this? This project has taken blood sweat and tears goddammit.
But today the actual piece of glass came in. I can’t help but to feel proud. -
Recently helped someone with a Spark project and encountered “reactive JS” for the first and hopefully last time. Never minded using JS but happy to admit that it’s a dumpster fire design-wise…one that Spark engineers apparently decided didn’t have quite enough petrol on it.2
-
I wish I have a better academic year with great professors and wonderful coursework so I don't have to rant as much,
But then, I'm starting to like DevRant. So cross that out. I hope for a more challenging year while still being manageable, and very very INTERESTING.
Happy new year, people. -
I finally have a server at DO. First time I had to set up a server on my own. Now I have an Ubuntu 14 running apache2, php5, memcached, beanstalkd, supervisor, sftp, vhost-manager, etc...
I really like the whol env and learning but I have to admit, I'd really like to see some GUI for all these things. At least for host management... And honestly I could use some advice on a proper web server setup.3 -
Happy Pi Day, it just started as a joke that radiated out, it's not rational, but don't constantly be diametrically opposed to it!
I spent morning writing that, waiting for tests to finish. -
*click 'create pull request'*
*satisfied*
*pat on shoulder*
Will get comments surely, but I'm happy that I could make a PR -
I think it's kinda cool that almost all of my work _could_ be done within a browser (IDE, docker, etc, etc..)
I'm happy as I am but I like the option5 -
Windows Phone might be well dead, but their memory still lives in Bing Rewards! 🤣
(Info: French version of tile to promote the MSN News app - I'm using it already, so everyone's happy 😉)4 -
Another dev concept butchered by business people:
BDD, but does not integrate into any tests, uses arbitrary language and format, covers only happy path...
Kill me now, please1 -
"-Hey, I don't have this method in the proxy
-But you just told me you have it in the console"
Happy debugging to me -
Y'all panicking about act 13, but I'm happy because the developing dictatorship that I call my home had finally been accepted illicit. I'm talking about Hungary and Victor Orbán, the angry gnome.
-
So I am actively looking for a job as an android dev and well it's a tad bit difficult but today I got an email from a recruiter at a well know company and I was happy seeing that mail, but the link he sent me to send the details didn't work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯5
-
Happy Christmas and happy new years. 2018 was not a good year for me. Many project got delayed and not happy with my performance. I wanted to learn many thing and do many things but was not able to achieve those things.
I don't even feel like enjoying my birthday anymore. (It's on 27).
Let's hope the 2019 will be better than this dumpster fuck 2018. -
I finally got a nice Ubuntu setup working and running. No wrappers or drivers for my existing wifi dongle but a new one on the way. And Cities Skylines has Linux support so I'm happy. I love it Cheers guys xo1
-
I made my first closure in PHP, but I'm not happy.
For me Javascript closure are nicer.
What do you think about?8 -
How can I block the Facebook Messenger Group Call on iPhone? We have a family FB group chat and my parents are trigger happy on group calls.
I already tried googling but can't find a way to block the FB Messenger group call.5 -
does this happen to anyone else?
so every time i am happy, but like really happy and everything in the day goes very well, i am thankful for being alive and truly love life etc, at the end of that day or the next day something hits me and i fall into depression because i remember all the problems i was ignoring while being happy. this has actually happened a lot of times so every time i am really happy i automatically remember how is this temporary happiness gonna end, so i try hard not to be happy in order to avoid deeper depression later. and whats the point of living if ur not happy?4 -
!rant
I just got the best pe of my carrier.. Got some extra cash, and new future career path goals..
sometimes it’s hard being in this industry, but when you find a great team, you’ll know by the support
🍻 happy Friday! -
I'm so happy today. Fixed a bug that was haunting me for weeks. My ionic app was working on Android, the browser, the toaster,... Everything but an iPhone. I thought it was an issue with iOS and this bug really messed with me.1
-
I finally found how to make a parallel projection of a 3D vector on the screen with SFML, I'm really really happy but the most of my school project is still to do...
-
I seem to have a really bad case of evening depression. If that's even a thing
I'm super happy and full of energy but as soon as it's dark outside I become a depressed sack of shit with no drive to work on anything 😔6 -
Life was not all happy-happy, but it got a little more sad when got an error which says server is unwilling to perform.1
-
Was really happy when I found out I was getting an XPS 15 for work, but no. After spending two weeks with it, I can honestly say it's a terrible laptop14
-
Told my friends about this awesome app. It used to be my safe place earlier, but oh well... Kinda happy and sad about it at the same time. Hope they don't recognize my handle 😅1
-
So I thought I'd try out lynx, the text based browser, and it's actually pretty neat xD kinda weird navigation but I'm actually pretty happy with the experience so far.
-
today for the first time in last couple of months, i am fealing a bit happy. its not a happy-ish happy, ite that kind of happy when you are just so lost that you don't care to loose anymore. at that time, you just smile.
like, the world will keep on fucking itself, and you no longer care. you are just laughing at the world around you burning, and weirdly , you too are burning, but still you are smiling. that kind of happy.
on a seperate note, i think every company i switch , i end up landing in a worse one. i will probably keep switching until i reach a place that is so shit, that i might have to take management in order fix the shit. -
One of our frontend developers was legally blind and was responsible for design.
He did leave his company around 3 years ago but the company was happy with him & his work. What a weird combo :D3 -
Just updated one of our age old legacy projects. Customer wanted to discontinue the software for two years...
Codebase was quite solid but I am so sick of it - I keep bolting on bugfixes until it crashes and burns - and I will be happy. -
Anyone from Service Based IT Companies.? How much it really sucks to convince everyone around you about the idea you want to implement, but it cannot because the client is not happy and if he is not happy the management is also not happy. Its like we are chained to the chairs and systems, not letting us look at the outside world, where elegant solutions exists for smiple problems.
-
i just wanted to greet @NullNVoid a happy birthday! i know its already past your birthday there cause yknow timezone differences but hey its still ur bday here xd im still looking forward to that graduation prank youre planning 😏 surprise us all and happy hacking!4
-
Just one day please. I just want to sleep in once without that dreaded phone call or alert.
I know one of my favorite things I. The world is donating my pdo back to my company but my wife isn't so happy about it. -
If you think about the past; you will be depressed and achieve nothing
If you think about the present; you will be happy but stay mediocre
If you think about the future; you will be depressed and may achieve something
Which one do you choose?7 -
for 1 freaking second I was like I'll post it on stackoverflow. felt happy, but then I freaking woke up
-
This might be a highly specific mistake but, never ever uninstall the ms-office package installed on your work pc, linked to your corporate ms account. And then try to install another version from an installer you have lying around. Internal Support Team wasn't happy. 😅
-
Rant!
The wilde difference in native support between IE , gecko and WebKit is like difference between a real burger and MacDonald's,
They're both burgers but one will make you happy and the other will give diarrhea and a swollen butthole -
In response to my own previous rant (https://devrant.com/rants/1538792/...) , I try and help my self, I asked few questions to my self, What do you need in life to live?
> a couple of friends
> a (good) job
> parents
> a girlfriend (optional)
> a sufficient salary
and I've got almost all of that, so I'm being optimistic on wards , and I'm installing Ubuntu so there's that, in the end it matters if your're *happy* and with all of this I still am not happy, I am being optimistic but not happy, there's something left out from, there's something I'm still missing out9 -
People must be happy when they have no job from last year and suddenly get a very good offer..... I also got an offer yesterday.... my family is happy.
But I'm not sure if I'm happy. Because, now, less time to open source development, less chance to take the independent decisions, less time for life, less time for family & friends.5 -
I'm quite happy with my job as a full stack web developer, but I'd like to have a raise.
Is there any reliable source helping me finding out what I'm worth? I have no idea how much more I can ask from my boss.
Living and working in germany btw.9 -
Funny conversation I overheard while buying groceries ..
Person 1: why is it, programmers always seem so sad, negative.. Depressed?
Person 2: well, the less you know the happier you go.
Take a look at retards.
Person 1: sigh. I want to be happy.
Person 2: Remove your lust and you're left with happy.
Person 1: wut?
Person 2: look at that retard over there, shouting happy by itself.
Person 1: I see. But how would I apply it.
Person 2: well, I don't think shouting like that retard requires much application.
Person 3(me): don't worry, be happy. -
It was a great christmas time and good to had some days without a computer and without code but im so happy that i have to work today
-
Built something cool for some people. They are Happy - except of one. He reported Strange behaviour and weird bugs - can't reproduce this shit.. But suddenly He told me something.. guess what? He uses Internet Explorer. Yeah, you're right. Nearly nothing works quiet correct on this piece of Old Browser shit.
-
i wanna be happy but i think im afraid of being happy, because being sad and alone is sort of comfortable at this point, since im like this since a long time ago. i still feel hurt bcs i feel so alone and i feel like a loser but im able to find distractions so i dont have to deal with all this guilt and sadness, but when things start working out in my life i keep thinking "do i deserve this?" and i get scared and really ashamed. scared of what people will think of me, scared of what they will do to me, ashamed of what people will and do think of me, so i just end up isolating myself all over again and being alone and sad and depressed all over again as well1
-
I dont know why, but i am happy if able to apt-get update && apt-get upgrade without an error, is anyone feels same? 😂4
-
Samsung phones. I test my apps in an emulator instead. (I'm a student and I can't afford a new phone. I have what I get. But at least I get something so I should be happy.)
-
I am so close to done on my first solo app I've worked on for 6 months that could beat down similar corporate apps. Friends and family are proud, but don't really know what I mean. Just happy.
-
I was trying to run an algorithm since yesterday as QT was throwing error. But I tried it on Spyder and I don't know how but it just ran smoothly.
I don't care why it was not running, it ran and I am too happy. -
Really wish the likes of JetBrains would hurry up and offer an LSP server for every language. I'm categorically not interested in using PHPstorm because my RSI makes it impractical but I'd be happy to shell out for an LSP I can use with Neovim9
-
When I saw they remastered Call of Duty 4 I was very happy, spent alot of my childhood on that game and would easily pay £40-50 for it. But they are only selling it as an add on to the new COD game for £90-110 😔
-
How much time do you actually spend working?
I personally work 10 hours per week at my job. The rest of the time I watch YouTube or something like that. I have massive quilt because of this, but everyone is happy with my work.7 -
!rant
You know I used to be fucked up in almost every aspect of life: academically, socially, financially etc. But I am happy I am able to fight back. After my college semester exams finished, I am so happy to enjoy such a great social life. Like I can go and hangout each and every day and night, whereas earlier I would be in my room all day and night, infact even my neighbors would question my existence. But now its so much fun to hangout, feels really great. :') -
PM: 'the project is going down but the client is so happy from you.. he is inviting you to a new similar one'
Giving me work for more than a year and still doing... opening new positions and boosting the company a little1 -
Hey there! Anyone got some advice on how to find projects to contribute to pro bono? I'm not looking to enhance my profile, but rather just want to add value to not for profit causes. I tried browsing donatecode.com, but I'm not quite happy with what I found.1
-
Finally on github.
https://github.com/FidelityInternat...
I use this to test the css changes to my ui.
It's still a work in progress, not even documented properly, but I'm just happy that company allowed this code to go open sourced. -
Used XSLT for the first time at work. It seems like it can be a pretty powerful tool in the right situation, but I'm not too happy that I have to use it in the first place.2
-
For something opposite - I'm very happy about openlitespeed docs. I'm not very well versed in those things but beyond a small issue with my ubuntu having a hiccup with libzip4 required by it it was surprisingly easy to set everything up thanks to their explanations.
-
Product can't keep track/understanding of how they want things sorted
but we implemented their original spec, provided feedback they approved , and as the implementer of the algorithm need to diagram it out for them to confirm they're happy with their decisions1 -
I wish I could play the guitar like Jimi Hendrix, sing like Meatloaf, write like Terry Pratchett and make ones and zeroes dance to my tune as Linus Torvalds.
But I need is a good woman's love.
So I have what I need so I'm happy.5 -
Gggrrrr!!! React native and redux!!
God damn error city. Feck! 😫
But yet I love it.
Anyway, happy new year from Ireland! -
They're needs apple developer account for upload their app, ok create iCloud account and pay the membership, they're not happy with the name of the developer change to other name, but apple don't accept random names for their developer account only accept a person or a legal business 😅
-
Made some basic static sites in early 2010’s, started getting bootcamp ads frequently.
Eventually joined one & saw what I’ve been missing out on...actually tried in bootcamp and now I’m almost a real deal dev guy 👌🏿
...actually extremely happy but don’t wanna be that guy -
What do you think about cash? Most people use cards or NFC, and I'm happy with the possibility of paying with both cash and cards, but I have friends who would like to see cash canceled altogether.7

Back in school! Happy to say i'm taking classes i genuinely like, which are useful and challenge my brain.
Classes include (but aren't limited to)
SQL (and MS SQL Server, no MySQL sadly)
HTML/CSS/JS
Java2 -
Watching ex uni classfellows becoming senior and getting promos while being stuck non senior is depressing.
Happy for them but sad that I haven't been promoted4 -
