After 25 years coding in all types of languages and environments, I’m no longer having fun.

It now seems like it’s a fight to get interested in the code. I used to be something that I would spend hours / days doing. Now I just want to walk away from the code.

I find this pretty much fun.

I'm so confused with this app right now. I've seen very few rants and mostly just photos making fun of various issues that occur in software development work culture.

Earlier this year, we built a custom gift box builder for a local popcorn company. I had decided to use vue.js for the interface which was really fun to learn.

I hadn't used any reactive frameworks like vue before this project, but I was surprised how easy it was to use, and it was so satisfying watching the frontend change just by modifying the data. I was able to easily add little transition animations when the states changed which was really fun too (something that would be really tedious otherwise).

That's was probably the most fun I've had on a project in a while.

Rediscovering the wonderful Devrant community and reading through old rants. So much fun to see where I was just a few years ago and where I am now. Feels like a lifetime ago. Glad to be back!

Day 5 of devWholesome...

It's almost halloween! Today is a day for relaxation and carving pumpkins. While halloween may be less exciting this year we should try and make the most of our circumstances. Dress up and have fun! Even if its just with your family dressing up is so fun. Carving pumpkins and baking are also super fun. We can all celebrate even if we can't necessarily go outside. And as always, make the most out of your day!

Just spent the whole morning making a custom loading indicator for our app (an animated version of our logo). Animations are fun!

Just switched from Debian to Ubuntu, should have coded for a project today... But I passed hours playing freeciv... At least I had fun!!

We just had the introduction lesson about Emails. I think our teacher had fun sending fake mails from his computer over the server under our name.

Working with Swift & Kotlin again, feels good to work with them, although I did enjoy working with Typescript, but React Native is just not fun to work with ....

I'm a twitter kinda guy but after downloading this app from the "recommend" section on Google Play, I'm now a devRant guy. Can't get enough of ppl complaining about stupid stuff. It's great fun. Some rants are just 11/10. Lovely community.

Why the fuck does windows use 100MB for the efi partition? Like oh hey I will exactly allocate enough space for me. Oh you want ArchLinux and NixOs too? Well fuck you have fun dangouresly moving around partition just to increase the fucking size of the efi partition I just allocated at install-time without ever asking you about it.

I signed up for a web developer job... I am now making programs in VB.NET

Was playing Hellgate London again and spotted this little easter egg as the description of a low tier body armor.

Finding those little quirks in software makes it all the more fun and really appreciate being in the dev community.

I kind of miss abbie boi doxxing randos, avoiding all responsibility, arguing against all reason and just generally making no sense… that was fun.

Now we only have Kaine’s avatar making absolutely no sense at all. So boring…
