When you're not creative enough to make a post that would give you some stickers but you have a 3D printer...30
-
kinda creative:
A customer got an error in one of our applications. He made a screenshot, printed the screenshot, scanned the printed screenshot and attached the scanned jpeg to the e-mail :-D6 -
@dfox @trogus How about ++ milestones?
F.e.:
404 ++'s: “Error 404“
255 ++'s: “256 Bytes“
69 ++'s: (Well you know...)
And so on... (be creative)20 -
Realised this today.
One of the things I love the most about my job is the requirement to be creative and hackish.
Sometimes you just have to debug/fix stuff in the weirdest ways and this requires for me to think out of the box.
Something that's very new for me on this level!4 -
When you copy a big answer from StackOverflow and it works perfectly, but then you feel bad for a split second that you just copied the whole thing and didn't do anything creative :(9
-
Rate my WiFi setup.. 😅
Thanks to Ajio.. ✌️
This is what happened why your roommate's are trying to be creative..16 -
*Downloading a linux iso (distrohopping YAY) because the download stopped last night*
*200kbs instead of the 5mbs last night*

*enables SSL*
*downloads the iso to my server*
*copies the iso to the directory of the iso subdomain*
*starts downloading the iso from the server*

I am weird 😆11 -
I'm hiring and I'm fucking done with recruiters buttering up skills etc and sending me BS candidates.
Interview earlier today...
CV: MySql skill level 10 (out of 10)
Reality: Can't write a simple JOIN!
Yesterday...
CV: PHP 6+ years exp, self proclaimed ninja/jedi/oracle.
Reality:
[Me]: Write me a function to map an array to x.
[Ninja]: What's an array?
I've come to the conclusion that the type of dev I want on my team is highly unlikely to be looking for work much less using some piece of shit shady agent to find work so I need to hunt him / her down personally and can use the phenomenally large recruiters fee as a hiring bonus / incentive.
Only problem now is finding quality full stack devs in the area (Johannesburg, South Africa).
I'm thinking of posting a 'challenge' job add to filter out good candidates - some kind of code challenge to be solved that gives them my contact info. Any one have any creative ideas I could try?31 -
Client: We need this site up and running by the end of the month.
Me: Ok we need them to send creative over. Please provide it in Photoshop format.
.... A few days before due date.
Client: We have sent you all the creative. Please see email attachment.
...... Opens attachment. Creative was created in PowerPoint.
FML!! I CANNOT BELIEVE!!!
*starts twitching*5 -
Front End programming is the worst of all worlds.
I am a Full Stack developer that during every interview says "i can do front end stuff if needed". Something gets lost in translation and becomes "I do only front end stuff".
I don't mind front end development, but i hate urgent nitpicking that happens every time. Everyone else on the team works by regular tasks and deliveries (sprints and release dates), but my work consists of being the brush of the creative mind of someone else, that could not figure out how to make a good design before sending it out to me.
I am not a designer, a designer job is a creative one, i am just a brush that the team uses to complain why this button looks wrong on this not designed platform.9 -
People who think software development is not a creative job are wrong. It is very much similar to other creative jobs. It is logic based creativity.
Ain't it? 😛9 -
It's a shame that Adobe doesn't support Linux for their creative suit. I know lots of artists and designers that don't use Linux regularly because of this, since Photoshop and illustrator are the de facto tools for their work. Adobe xd seems to be awesome, but I can't use on my pc due the lack of support -.-21

Today i was so bored, I saw an ant in my kitchen and I placed few sugar cubes infront of her, she had some and went to tell her friends and I quickly hide the sugar cubes because I wanted them to think she is a liar.#Lolz#
Comment the moral of the story.Let's see how creative devs are!!13 -
In a mobile project far far away...
Dev: Now we need a ui expert to beautify the app.
Boss: we dont need him its beautiful as it is.
5 mins later....
Boss: here Is a ton of ui changes dear dev. I trust that you have creative insight to make changes that I like :)4 -
Since childhood I was extremely creative. At ~7 I took my family's laptop and started downloading level editors for Super Mario.
After that, I discovered a strange site to create games (similar to Scratch).
One month later the PC had too many malwares and adwares. 🤗1 -
The feeling when you try to be creative on the first commit message but end up using 'Initial commit'...5
-
I'm new to DevRant
Made an account just to say how much I hate lf-crlf errors. Fucking waste of time. Everytime. Feeling creative? How about spending hours on SO?6 -
So I've got this raspberry pi 3 and no inspiration what to use it for.. and it bugs me, just sitting there taunting me: -"you aren't very creative are you?" So.. ideas and suggestions?21
-
What really matters about being a developer is how you use your skills, you can know lots but you need to be creative and open-minded.
Don't use your skills for stuff like this, with great power comes great responsibility, don't abuse your powers to give people camcer2 -
Question about the weekly rant!
Does anyone have any topics they think would work well? We're trying to come up with some creative ideas and figure out what devRanters might enjoy the most.
Any feedback is appreciated on the weekly rant feature and possible topics. Thanks!23 -
Rant: THAT FUCKING CREATIVE AGENCY, THAT USES A FUCKING HOSTING PROVIDER, THAT DOESN'T OFFER SSH! GUESS WHO'S CURRENTLY UPLOADING 4000 FILES? BEST OF ALL EVERY 200-ISCH FILES THE CONNECTION GET'S REFUSED, TELLING, THERE ARE TO MANY REQUESTS (FileZilla is set to max 2 simultanious uploads, still the same)
FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING FUCK OF A CRAPPY DEPLOYMENT PROCESS.6 -
I know it is 1 week too late but i dont care. Im aware that my workbench looks like shit but in reality it is a "creative mess"
@Condor Do you envy me now? I have 1054z that is hacked and has all its features unlocked! I have desoldering station and crappy (very crappy) soldering station. In addition to that i got simple sine/square generator that goes to 1Mhz (old communist poland tech - indestructible and great)
Situation with my pc is complicated. My main pc (with the curved monitor)
-i5 3350p
-12 Gb or ram (2*4Gb and another 4 that friend gave me)
-radeon 7800hd (*RIP* cant play games anymore 😥)
-256Gb sata SSD
-2Tb WD blue HDD
In addition to that i have a laptop
i5 4 cores, 8Gb ram, 1Tb HDD, GTX1050
I use my lap for gaming now, i even connected that monitor as main lap.
(double monitors yay!) sometimes i use my old pc for minor things but i use rdp for that, it is great experience! (my lap displaying rdp from my old pc on second monitor that was my old pcs main one 😂 i find it a tiny bit funny)15 -
Creative dev compliments? Wow, that shows what type of person I am. I only know creative dev insults. Okay let me give it a go!
Wow, I'm gonna star that on GitHub!
Good work! I'm gonna put a shortcut to that right here on my desktop (in the same tone as "I'm gonna hang that on the fridge")
You're so meticulous that the unit tests are to make sure the computer works correctly, not your code.
If you were a web server, you'd always return 200/OK.
Your parents must have compiled you with -Ofast -
Colleges aren't teaching enough practical applications of why we devs do what we do. Get students engaged with small business! Get them to think about how they apply what they learn to the real world!! We need creative new ideas from developers that think outside the damn book!2
-
All these developers complaining about not being able to finish the million side projects they have and I'm sitting here wishing I was creative enough to have one.4
-
I find driving to work is a very creative time for my brain, seem to come up with solutions to problems I’m currently trying to solve and come up with good ideas as well, take voice recordings of the ideas not to lose them.6

One thing I like about DevRant is , even when a rant fails miserably, dev's will find some creative way to make it funny or useful.3 -
I love to code, it scratches my creative itch
And i love to work, it drowns my productivity anxiety
But I dread every morning when i wake up to work on my current employer's project
It's that kind of combo of code base spaghetti and all over the place project management that sinks my galleys
Woe is me...5 -
I'm in search of an inspirational/creative quote not by a big name of a dead person - but by a devRant user :P
starting with:
I code because...25 -
Wait what? Nude.js is already a thing?
Yeah great, I'm not allowed to be a creative perv anymore.
Just great.2 -
Anyone else annoyed that they can code a really good website (as in PSD to HTML) but just aren't creative enough to come up with a design? I find myself on Dribbble a hell of a lot of the time coding designs that others have done out of boredom, but stunned by how amazing their designs are. I'm just not creative enough.13

Windows decides to download Creative update.
I restart the computer wait for the update to finish.
I see the login screen.
I log in, then windows says:
"Hi, we have an update for you this might take a few minutes!"
What the serious fuck windows? Did you need me to login so that you can waste more of my time?3 -
Is it weird that i enjoy all these rants and the dev's frustration?
it really calms me down whenever i see a long rants, creative insults, excessive swearing
because it reminds me that my situation could be lot worse, thank god I'm not in one of those situations3 -
Any type of creativity what so ever. Whenever I have to design anything my mind kinda just goes blank.
Most of the sparetime I actually want to program is spend not programming because I'm not a very creative person.
Pic related, it's my webshite. Would like to make it nice, but I have very little in the department of creative talent 😭3 -
let's try something...
Roast thread, please tag and insult your fellow devRanter in this comment section. Get creative in finding swearwords. Too many ++ bombs, poor code quality or you're just secretly in love with some other Ranter and hate it.12 -
Never been to one.
I'm firmly opposed to the idea of sacrificing sleep and free time just to show everyone how awesome and creative I am.3 -
Adding a commit message is so so hard but you can be creative with it..this is the story of "the fisherman "5
-
Have an idea for a fun little side project coding a game. Install Unity and read up some samples.
Remember I'm awful at any kind of creative design work.
Get sad and go back to Overwatch.5 -
Code FUCKING Rape!!! that kids is when companies throw lots of creative and talented programmers / coders / developers at a system and say FIX IT!
-
when you suddenly find yourself with the programming version of writers block and the creative juices and logical juices aren't flowing..4
-
1. Building stuff is awesome!
2. It's creative work that actually makes cash
3. I like writing algos and math4 -
I find it kind of sad how many people think coding seems boring. Personally I find it's a perfect mix of having to be logical and creative at the same time. I need both, and can't imagine doing anything else.
-
I once wrote a few really nice creative generic classes for an ASP.net project. Later, senior decided that we have to rewrite the whole thing, so he initialized a new project from a template and added my files in helpers/ as a starting point.2
-
If point-and-click game made in PowerPoint, that my grandma actively played because of boredom, is "creative hacky solution", then there you have it.
First game is "The Adventures of Sayid", second "Hide and Seek" with creepy pasta sound and graphic assets from Shrek: Activity Center.
Well, that's my childhood without Internet, what I can say!3 -
You know what really grinds my gears? When people criticize a programming language but uses edge cases and stuff that can be avoided by using the tried and true "don't be an idiot". Take for instance JavaScript, a language I like and a language that has a lot you can criticize. But I feel like a lot of peoples criticism isn't warranted.
What's that? No ints? Use parseInt or Math.floor.
What are you saying? == works in strange ways? Yes, that's what we have === for.
Type coercion is wonky? Think it's weird how string + int works differently than string - int? Wanna string with number + - + - - + - - etc? Don't! Don't add strings and ints, don't subtract strings and ints. You can't in statically typed languages and you aren't supposed to in dynamically typed
Adding arrays and objects, arrays and arrays, objects and objects etc. is inconsistent? Why are you trying to do that?
Adding floats together gives odd results? Now we're getting somewhere! And Mozilla responded to that with a method called toFixed.
Declaring variables with var doesn't always work that well? Use let and const
Then there's this weird attitude that some people I've met have, where they will complain about the module system and how "well you rely on the community for those packages" as if it's a bad thing. And then coming with the "well you don't know what the (open source) packages do internally" as if I (for the most part) give a shit. Then they'll swear by companies like Zend or Microsoft as if they can't just stop supporting the languages they use. Maybe it's just because I like community content more because of video game mods.
Wanna criticize JS, then there's plenty to talk about. Like the built in date object is basically shit. Or how in NodeJS you can have node_modules in your node_modules. Or how classes don't really have the best syntax. Left-Pad. And so on (it's too late for me to be able to remember much more).1 -
I know this is a fictional creative interpretation generated by an AI model, but it might just be the truest thing I've ever read 🤣🤣🤣2

Custom theming for Spotify? That's cool asf. Man I love how smart and creative people are to come up with this shit.

One of my main hobbies is composing music. I had been in a creative funk for almost half a year when, during my vacation, I randomly discovered this little music production program for Nintendo Switch called Korg Gadget.
So far I've created 6 finished tracks, and this latest one I took a step further by giving some extra time and care.
I'm really glad to have the creative juices flowing again, especially since work has not been great lately...
Give it a listen, if you like. The other tracks are available as well :-)
New track. Sort of Synthwave. Composed with Korg Gadget on Nintendo Switch, mixed on a pc.

❤ I can be as creative as I want.
❤❤ It never gets boring.
❤❤❤ There is always something new to learn!3 -
I haven't touched a repository in a while, but my group had been committing to it for a while. I sometimes wish I could be this creative.3
-
Fuck.. it is hard to stick to "learn-by-doing" when you are not a creative person, and you lack the ideas to go on.
I don't feel like I am learning efficiently enough with reading books..5 -
i miss being intuitive, creative, free of that need for productivity and reason and purpose. i need more of that dionysian energy in my life4

My creative director is now the PM. He open thw meeting and said "There is this thing. It's good for development. It has got meeting and tools. It's called agile."1

I like coding. I am a professional coder. But I feel I am not very good at it. My colleagues are so creative and fast with their solutions. And here I am, always in awe and never seem to feel like becoming an expert in coding. The thoughts are tiring 😪6
-
What people don't get about drinking and coding is this.
Coding and development is very similar to art. You've to be creative in your solutions. You've withdraw all emotions and concentrate. And you've to find your own creativity.
You have drunk artists all the time, why not drunk coders?11 -
Hello there,
I am new here and I have Quick Question for u guys,
Q: how can one become the best programmer in the world ?
Comment in one word.72 -
They tell you to be creative and share your thoughts but when you do, they say that you speak very much and you should not go out of the league.
You know what?
FuckOffToHell! -
A developer said to me: developers may hurry to finish the project before deadline that they might miss many security bugs specially in the updates. That a creative hacker will later take his time and exploit them.
Is it correct ?3 -
We are all working our asses off, but the backlog grows and grows.
Now management came up with a really creative, groundbreaking and clever idea: We should work more, so we can get shit done.
I think there may be some jobs vacant in the near future.2 -
So to un install Premie Pro I first need to sign in to my Adobe account, to then fucking update Creative Cloud, and then, then I can remove the garbage. Or so I hope ffs...2
-
My senior keep touching my laptop screen whenever I am showing him something on my laptop and I hate it from the bottom of my heart.
What do you think is the best creative way to tell him to stop?18 -
So today is actually my mom's birthday. My dad got creative (after he watched this videos http://video.weibo.com/show/...)7

A creative way to get yourself locked out from your server: having your new password manager hit an old entry port for a favicon - which gets you banned, took me a second to understand why I can't suddenly access things anymore lol3

Reading JS written by “creative” types:
var myArray = []; //un-sorted values
var SortedArray = myArray.sort();
OrderedHtmlElement.innerText = myArray[0];
Look here if you are going to do it wrong at least commit to the wrongdoing!!!6 -
I just saw Kickstarter's blog post about moving over to the Blockchain. They're doing it because, uh, protocols, or something. No joke, here's a direct quote from their post:
"You may have heard of HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) which helps you browse the web, or SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) which helps you send email. Protocols like these make up the unseen infrastructure of the internet. Imagine that, but for crowdfunding creative projects."
What the fuck does that even mean? The rest of the blog post is more of the same. They packed it full of every crypto buzzword they could find while also not actually providing any useful information.
Full article here, if anyone wants to read a headache-inducing pile of nonsense: https://kickstarter.com/articles/...9 -
Devs: Early birds or night owls?
Me: Definitelly night owl, can not wake up before 10 and sometimes working till morning. I know it is bad for health but I can not help myself. Being much more creative and productive at night.12 -
So my friend told me that he recommended me to be a new Creative Engineer.
-Oh shit, sweet, what are the requirements?
-I don't really understand that kind of stuff man, just look it up, here' the link
*Hmmm*
-Html,
*ok*
-Css,
*mhmm*
-Javascript

etc etc...
and,
Actionscript

Excuse me?
Who the FUCK use actionscript nowadays ???2 -
If you don't know how to do it the proper way, just throw something together. :D
Might not be pretty, but it works... (only took about 3 hours)13 -
Does anyone here have anything interesting to do? I am free now so looking for something creative to work on.
I don't care about getting any money out of it. AS long as it's interesting I'm in!15 -
Apparently, as a front end developer, I do not need a Creative Cloud license anymore. I will have to rely on the Designers to cut up all my assets.
I could barely hold a straight face while I posted this rant.3 -
This is by far the most creative way so look for a job. It happens, when you install core-js. It prints out a job-search at the console.3

Mention some supernatural powers that only Devs can master upon!

Can't think of any??
let me tell you mine's,
I can easily determine the interests and how creative my colleagues are just by looking at their desktops... 😎☺😂 Isn't it cool?3 -
Coding has given me a creative outlet. It's filled me with more frustration than anything else I've experienced. It's given me profound joy through successful projects. It's provided me a career which supports my family.
Coding has done a lot for my life... -

1. Explain how a martian vending machine (wtf?) should look like and how it works.
2. Write a program to change the currency of the machine and price of martian D.

Congratulations for that recruiter guy for coming up with such a creative task *clap*clap*2 -

TIL that our creative design team that produces our web designs/layouts are all print designers. They were stumped when I gave them a wireframe mock up as the base for a website design for the first time, with no defined pixel measurements.7

I love programming drunk! I can't sit still and always want to do stuff. When I'm drunk / tipsy I come up with ideas and start working on it. Most of the time in the morning, when my mind is clear, I'm not so creative and open minded as I'm drunk. Sometimes my ideas ain't that bad, but I loose interest in developing it any further. So I stop working on it.
This is a while == true loop -

Does anyone really like JavaScript as a language?
I mean i like working with it because you can build a lot of creative and cool stuff with it, but i find the language itself to be hacky, wierd and too complex.17 -
A PM who suck-up to a creative technologist. He comes up with ideas while me, the programmer, have to figure how to get it done.
PM expects me to explain how things can or cannot be done. I spent whole day drawing diagrams explaining things, while the creative technologist makes demand after demand.
For me, the worst project manager is one who doesn't take care of their people.
N The worst creative technologist, is one who won't go do their own fucking research and expect the developers to do it.
Both fuckers are management roles. Go figure..1 -

Programmers with design skills?
Design comes with creativity which I lack the most. Should we learn to design and be creative?8 -
god i hate css, html, bootsrap, anything that requires you to be creative. its mentally exhausting. and time consuming. it takes hours just to get those divs aligned and responsive wtf25

Does any developer here does design work as well as code. I got pulled into it. was expecting a only dev job, according to the job description" but the creative team start handing me InDesign task and Photoshop task with no experience in design. is that crazy or normal for front end developers?10

1. rm -rf / —no-preserves-root

4. mv / /dev/null4 -
I need some ideas here.. What creative can be done if I have the markings of nose eyes mouth and jaw in a video dynamically.. Just like snapchat does( share all the ideas please, Platform used is not of concern)... See the image...
P. S.. This is my handsome friend here😛8 -
If I was to talk about software, the act of coding is probably the most boring part. But birthing a program can pull from magic, animation, circus, gardening, parenting, woodwork, and a host of arts, trades, and crafts. It is a wonderful creative task that is being sold short by brilliant jerks, one trick fools, and con men.2

Dfox should make a script to pull all the creative curses from devrant and publish a list of them.
Like search for every standard curse (fuck, shit, cunt, etc) and then print them out with the five or so words before and after it to hopefully capture most of the longer creative swears.4 -

Just wanted to share this creative exercise1 -
It's a tie between HP Loadrunner, which is literally older than I am and behaves like it hasn't been updated since release, and ServiceNow, which is just so.. limited and forces you to think real fucking creative to get anything useful done, for me. Working in either is absolutely painful 😖1

Everytime I find a new open repository, it is really humbling that there are so many projects with creative solution to problems.

I like to say programming is the art of "creative logic". Much like architecture has an aesthetic to consider or cooking has well-defined procedures with greatly varying inputs and outputs, there has to be room for creativity, be it at the planning stage or during wild improvisation sessions.
Without that creative aspect, software development sounds dreary to me.
Where science meets art is where the magic happens.
If only the artists shared this view and actually took an interest in the technical side...1 -

So I found a variable in some leagcy code with the name "abcdefghij".

3. Automating/scripting things is a general passion. -
our clients are basically asking us to decide for them the requirements and that's simply absurd? they're supposed to tell us what the hell they want. if we actually take creative liberties, i bet it'd take a day for them to ask for a do over4

Ideally, there would be 3 engineers and 2 sales people. The engineers would pair with the sales folks on calls to figure out what customers need and hire designers to design just want needs to be built. Everyone would be responsible, not over commit, not oversell, and figure out creative ways to make the company money and achieve technological superiority.

"Don’t you miss doing creative stuff, as an engineer? Don’t you miss the creativity of the art world? You can say: I’m working on an infinite canvas capable of any size and shape, that’s already glowing every color possible into the eyes of just about everyone on the planet. And I get to decide the kind of experience, feeling, and emotion they are going to have. How is that not creative?" - Natalya Shelburne

Not really a rant, but an observation. As programmers we get to create realities for computers through programs. There are some fundamentals, like IO, memory, disk...but the creative power is enormous.2

Scrolling through some of "wk15" posts

So I got an assignment for literature class to make and present some sort of creative project about transcendentalism. Time suggestion: 2-3 hours of work. 10 hours later, I have a videogame with 0 polish that I can convice the professor is about transcendentalism. I regret nothing.2

I was thinking about how youtube stands as the most used platform for videos, however the more creative/professional oriented platform Vimeo could still establish itself few years later. Same for Facebook and LinkedIn for instance.
So I was wondering how much new ideas could come out following the same reasoning. Any ideas?9 -

Guess this is a good excuse for starting a lot of projects and never finishing.
You're being creative. -
As a software developer, are your limits only to clear out the requirements and do the work, even if it does not make any sense.
I am a creative person, there are some CX changes and I want to suggest some ideas. But is it not my place to do that?
Am I forever stuck on the requirements and development part?7 -

Boss changes plan & schedule for this year's projects at least 5 times within 3 weeks.
Since everything changes so frequently, would you mind making the following changes as well:
1) Give everyone a better PC/Mac
2) Get a better PM
3) A sales team that can sell things
Or maybe a more creative, decisive and organised boss so we can have all 3 wishes at once just like Kinder Surprise -
1. I like problem solving.
2. I like mucking about in systems that consist of many interrelated parts and learning how they interact. I like to imagine that I'd make a decent mechanic.
3. I'm fond of building stuff with abstractions and concepts. I'm not the brightest, but I'm drawn to intellectual and creative endeavors. -
How do you guys come up with side projects? I'm as creative as a... Something that isn't creative. School starts tomorrow and I need a senior project for my software engineering degree but I'm having trouble thinking of anything.3

I want to start a devRoulette project: basically something telling you what to code, in what language, and with some challenges if specified. Feel free to put your suggestions here :)
NEW: @SADAVA, who has been bashed quite a lot for their initiative of building demos for my project, didn't mean harm. In fact, I might consider a collab, so yeah :)12 -
I wonder what impact the launch of Affinity Publisher will have on Adobe, now that their core creative suite has been re-imagined by Affinity. Ive been using the beta and it pisses on inDesign. Good work Affinity !

ChatGPT is blocked in my country, I had to get creative to finally create an account but holy shit it was worth the effort. That thing is freaking fast and I am honestly a bit worried about how these technologies will evolve in the future. Well time to make my boy GPT write me some code 🤪12

Coding has changed me a lot! I think differently, I make stuff, I am more creative, I now the difference between {}, [] and (), and I know what to do with my life. Also no more sleep.

I finally got a working D&D Dungeon Master AI working right, a lot of actions have to be presented before the full combat round, but the results are all unique, but it still isn't creative enough to add more then 2 npc with conversation skills, I think there's some hidden blocks in the backend :/7

When I first got started in web development I had to think really hard to write code to solve real world problems. It was rewarding and creative process. Nowadays most of my time is spent just trying to get bloated frameworks and plugins to play nice with one another! I hope the pendulum swings back at some point.

I got approached by a recruiter seeking an individual with extensive Linux experience. When it got to the in-person interview, they asked me how good in VBA I was... turns out the recruiter got a little creative with the given job description.

Being a developer allows you to enjoy using most of the creative skills artists also put to use (writing structured prose, design, semantics, ergonomics, ethics), while adding logic, job safety, and a decent paycheck to the mix.
Also: puts you in a good position to readily take advantage of new digital goodies (eg bitcoin), and to understand the gem that is developer humor -
I like Mac but it’s annoying how it went from a product aimed mainly to a technical (in early 2000s OS X presentations were rich of in-depth details) or creative audience to a product aimed mainly to hypebeasts, basic Starbucks girl and tech illiterates which believes which sending a file trough Wi-Fi is cutting edge technology.

#adobexd got a new update as they do every month and i am totally loving it.
@adobe this month got a new update and these are the things you can see now in adobexd.
➡ Free plugins :- Yeah you can add plugins to your adobe xd now using which you can do a lot of stuff like pulling avatars , building icons , getting free ilustrations and much more .
For this go to the slide menu panel on the left.
On the bottom click on plugins icon
choose anyone and install .
Really great and handy feature .
➡Another one is that you can now use subscript and superscript for your text ,thats also cool feature as well.
Ok thats it
Let me know if you have any cool plugin you like from it . >>>>2 -

Today I tried: pnpm.
Following up my hateful rant against Isaac Schlueter and his decisions on npm.
I went all the way out and tried so many alternatives, honestly found a developer experience much greater than the "official" one.
What triggers me the most is the explicit statement of "other creative means" in this commit https://github.com/npm/arborist/..., you don't talk like that when all other package managers are making creative workarounds for the design failure of node_modules.
I don't know what it is but I really hate this guy.4 -
I could be creative but my history with certain content thieves is they adapt my ideas to glorify their weird messed up shit
Gotta do something I can’t perceive differences when all the data is the same1 -

The feeling when you keep getting these job offers at creative agencies and others, but can't accept because you're in college
such a double edged sword xD2 -
For some inexplicable reason, I get super productive and creative just as soon as the clock gets near midnight. FML. I can never get enough sleep.

How do you know when you’re overengineering something? Like, you look a project and know you can build this with vanilla JS but the creative team wants it built in React because “components are better”. What do you do?

For those of you who went to universoty or college or other form of slavery mindwashing creative crushing freedom crushing institution,
what cool things did y'all do for your Graduation projects?
PS. with this whole correct usage of words movement I've decided to replace "you guys" woth "y'all" for the sake of a universal gender irrelevant specifier. Thank you for your sincere understanding. ~Board of Pointless statements and existences.7 -
Soooooo i am soon done with high school and going to college would you guys recommend studying programming?
Ps:i really do love being creative and have something hard to achieve and really into the details of games and how people made them16 -
Presumably this would come together with some form of universal income. Even Elon musk thinks this is a going to become critical in a few years time. So in that case I would spend my days creating things. I'd probably start with video games as that's my current hobby. But yeah, more time for creative activities would be awesome! Go ai!

Let’s play a game :
With some spare part you have somewhere in the boxes, what can you build “best” and what’s missing ?
I’ll start. With unused parts in my boxes I can build :
• Core I7 3770k on Sabertooth motherboard
• 16 GB of RAM
• GTX 770 as video card.
• 4K Asus screen
• Creative sound card
Missing :
• The case
• PSU
• Hard drives/SSD17 -
Emphasizing on:

-good exercise systematic approach to problem (breaking down problem in to smaller workable pieces)

Any other amusing french cinema ? I've only seen a few pieces of it including one about two nymphos that go through the film trying to fuck as many people as possible on a train. -
I wouldn't be doing THAT alternative job,
but i guess doing archvis would be an idea. Or doing other 3D visualisation stuff such as creating furniture or stuff like that. Seems to pay well.
It just has to be something, where you can be creative, while also not being held like a slave.
i dunno man -

Not asking a dev to do a whole document rundown of built components and then asking creative to fucking add new shit making the document worthless. Oh yes. Then complain why the document was not up to date.

rust programmers are truly not creative people. instead of making their own shit, they enter others code and projects and try to infest it with rust. that's the whole reason they keep rewriting things that existed before. they just cant create!6
