But then the web started to become more popular and C++ wasn‘t really good at that, so Rasmus Lerdorf created PHP.

And then everything moved to the client and should be loaded dynamically for better UX, so everyone writes JS.

But JS doesn‘t have a good performance, so people created web assembly compiled from C...

Working on a (PHP based) monitoring system and currently writing rules/testing stuff.

I wrote some rules which check a few pages of a dutch site displaying if certain bigger services have disruptions and I am pulling the pages of a few ones I'd like to be notified about when they have issues.

Started the engine and received an alert about one big ISP over here from the monitoring system. Didn't believe that it would work right away so went to check that specific disruption page and...... they have a disruption right now!

So this client wanted a demo on Dockers. So I gave the demo with some microservices running on different containers. Later the clients come back and say, "Docker is good. But please fit all the microservices in one container." I say but that defeats the purpose of microservices. But no, the client say. I tried explaining but no is no. Shit!! Fine! Have it your way!!

New semester, new problems....

Just started my 6th semester at uni and my teammates are already proving to be serious dumbfucks..

They want to keep all files neat and organized, sure, fine, good idea.
They want to use Dropbox to store code and our LaTeX report, no, never! Somehow managed to get them to switch to GitHub, yay!
They want to have everything in one fucking repo! Why? Oh god, why? And I can't change their mind on this!
And they still want to use Dropbox to have a backup and sync between their machines...

So during this semester, we will store our LaTeX report and the, at minimum, 3 code projects, in the same repo organized by folder!
Why not one project, one repo? Then I won't have to pull all the shit code that I don't have to work with!

Coding gave me a way to express my creativity. It gave me meaning. When I was young I was constantly trying to find what I was good at. It's frustrating because I have one more year of uni doing what doesn't interest me.

Nevertheless, I'm glad I found what I want to do for the rest of my life 🐢.

Won the 2nd prize in a Microsoft hosted hackathon. No for Windows but they really have good cognitive services. Used Azure vision api, one of the good ocr service available.

Go to Denver with a friend for an Iron Maiden concert. I try edibles for the first time, which of course means take way too much. Hallucinate that lead singer is an arm flailing inflatable tube Man. I have a pretty good time. Walk back to the motel at midnight and have to launch a client's website from stage to production on the slow Motel Wi-Fi. I'm ready to pass out at this point, but I got my laptop, and I got my VPN running. So I spend the next 6 hours moving the site from one server to another while occasionally passing out for 20 to 30 minutes at a time.

One of the best road trips of my life. Five stars would do again.

Had an awesome day at work got so much coding done, made an awesome well documented class for a Countdowntimer class in Android.

Was looking forward to getting home and using my motivation to continue coding my game when I got home.

Then get to the bus stop and it's packed for the Adele concert, I saw a poster okay thats good only buses are packed (I then take a train, I live pretty far from work) I get to the train station and the shittiest system has been setup,

Where people pack on the train that goes to the last stop south for the Adele concert that isn't even near the last stop!

One of the platforms aren't even being used and the trains that got partway south are tiny as hell for the rest of the people that don't want to go to this concert.

For one thing who thought it was a good idea to setup such a shitty system? Why not have one train go straight to the damn concert area and continually use that one platform and for the rest of the people have the trains running as normal?

The great thing about coding is, every problem can be solved with logic. And the simplest solution is often the best one.
Often when I don't know what to do, I just keep thinking about what I want to have and break down what I need for that and in the end I always come to a good solution. And it gets easier from time to time.

Good documentation is always a fucking good experience man.

And I particularly like how the Vue.js documentation is laid out. Straight up the framework is:
Easy to use
Concise
Has a lot of sane ideas
Good separation of concerns
Good Typescript integration
A really good cli tool

And above all this good shit is the documentation. Of all the major JS fronted tools I would say that this one is the one i like working with the most all in account of how easy to find the shit that I need is. Have built some otherwise complex shit using nothing more than documentation....albeit i have done this with most frontend shit i use.

I met a senior node.js developer for the first time and had a talk with him, really, I did not know how junior I was until I talked with him, everything he told me about node was just amazing, I mean, I describe myself as a good developer but he has the knowledge I would like to have someday, I loved node since I met the runtime and I follow many node/js programmers that are really good at it and I admire them, but having the opportunity to have an hour and something talk with one of them was really amazing and gave me more reasons to succeed and how to take that place, well I have to say this as per what I've already write -> nohomo

I mentor two profiles (started in their master first year), and for 3 years: taking them with me when I have a job change and applying ShuHaRi to teach them. They are my firsts mentorees in France, and they are finishing the course.

And I'm SO proud of them, they'll be leaving my side (changing job). And starting their own journey!!

They'll go to very good companies, for really good jobs/teams. I gave them tears and blood for 3 years and now they are riping the results of their perseverance, hard work and commitment.
It's one of the things that I love in my job. Being able to do that, and to see them grow it so cool!!

On the other hand, I'll lose have to replace them... And it'll be difficult for the company to find good profiles. And I'll start looking for a new mentoree to follow.

getting into dev work is such a shit show. thinking back 2 years ago I decided to switch career so went on bootcamp and starting looking for junior role.

fun story number 2: after being let go of my first role due to being good dev for one day and bad the next. I went for an intern role for really low paid. well fair enough I am here to learn right guys? nope, i have experience with the main tech from my last job and I managed the take home test and despite I told them i have more experience front end they criticise my backend code , despite i was able to tell them what I have done not so well and I have found a better solution AT THE INTERVIEW. still not good enough. I was really doubting myself If I am that shit at being an fucking intern with a stack I have experience in.

fast forward another job interview I landed my current role with fantastic culture, good line manager & tech lead. nice colleague and I am being treated like a prince with the work i put in. Why is this industry so fucked?

So I have a chrome extension, and someone reviewed it. At first she gave me one star, and wrote "extension is not working, bad UI, not good!" And ten minutes later, she gave me five stars and wrote "good extension, good features, working fine, good UI, loved it".

Now, I've come to adore, cherish and love it for it's simplicity.

It feels so much better than Java.
No shit on java, it's good in what it does but damn boi C++ can do like, fucking everything.

Co-Worker laughed at me for taking a task on their side project and only them have worked at it. FYI i've never worked as a Dev before and I have a really low knowledge of web developing. Well i finished the task in time and sent the pull request to one of them. Got a 'well done dude, high five'. Feels good man :)

Installed SonarQube and Snyk on the CI/CD of a 2.5 year old project that only had a linter enabled previously.

Practically zero problems found. One minor problem (same code in different branches), a few false positives, and a few possible problems in dependencies that I have no control over.

Now wondering:
Am I really that good or are those tools just shit?

I thought any fledgling dev could become a good one with enough team guidance, frequent discussion on ideas and reasoning with seniors, experience, and work variety

But one I know is proving they don't have the knack.

So I wasn't looking for a job, but I wasn't happy in mine, and I would listen to pitches. Recruiter calls me about a Java job. I tell him I know JS and it's probably not a good fit. He insists my resume looks good and that they are happy to train. I know just enough Java to relent. Eventually we set up an phone interview for a day I happen to have off anyway because I'm going out of town. Morning of, I'm waiting around for the call. An hour after the scheduled time, the recruiter calls and tells me they had an "emergency" and wouldn't be able to speak today. One whole hour of my day, making me late to leave town: no one anywhere in the whole company could give me a call, no explanation, no apologies, for a job I had told them I wouldn't be a good fit for anyway.

I left them hanging the rest of the weekend and then take my name out of the running on Monday. Respect people's time and lives!

So there’s this SOAP api I have to use (not by choice, and not the only one i have to use) that returns a bunch of XML nodes to confirm the data sent made it and checks out - pretty standard stuff yea.

Now every once in a while it doesn’t respond (as far as I could tell) so today I wrapped a debug around the soap call, error handler and responses and threw a bunch of messages it’s way to try and force it not to respond in order to be able to put some decent error handling in place.

Well it wouldn’t fail.
100 messages .... all responses good
100 more.... all responses good

And then 100 more.... all respond with “x”, plain text not XML as expected!

I used to go to a class to learn C++(was a kid back then).

One of the sir there told me -

I'm the only one who hates the idea of "overemployment" (people which hoards lots of remote jobs and then split their attention between them while getting a full time salary from each of them)?

If these guys believes to be so good and productive (and some of them definitely are) entrepreneurship or working as independent contractors/consultants is always a great viable options instead of trying to become multi millionaires by "stealing" good jobs which may instead lift people who have very little from poverty or bad jobs.

What sucks most about smartphones is how much everyone came to rely on them and expect you to have one which is turned on and working. Rent a bike? Need an app! Log in somewhere? Need 2FA. I just want to leave my phone turned off for a few days like in the good old days. There must be something wrong with the way we live.

So back on November 7th I received my Xbox one x project Scorpio edition, unfortunately the model I have suffers from some sort of defective thermal paste and after a good couple of hours of elite dangerous at 4k, it shuts itself down and I have to wait overnight for it to work again. Microsoft said if I send them it they'll give me a new one in about 2 weeks, my solution is to hold it outside my window for 5 minutes to cool it down. God bless the cold of the UK.

Tried mx 17 linux today. Was completely blown away by how fucking good the system is. I am really tempted to nuke my windows installation in one of my computers and just run this baby from it. Nothing is really holding me back from it. I already have two other macs and another ubuntu laptop. Can think of a reason why i would need windows at this time but i am still hesitant.

Plus...i am taking on a big rails project.....might be good to have this thing set up for it as are the other two macs. Mmmmmhmm decissions decissions.

Unreleased movies. Premier special movies. Restricted access movies. Special screening movies.

Fun part about being in a media tech company is you get amazing perks.

One of the product verticals we have, competes with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

So, we have to determine which movies to license and resell on our platform.

For which we have volunteer program where they assign us movies to watch. A couple of movies everyday. Folks have to submit their feedback on certain parameters and then the team evaluates and makes the decision.

As of last few weeks, Cannes 2022 was on and we had a lot of movies lined up. Got to watch some real good ones while some were mediocre.

Surely fun, don't get paid for it. Good perks. Loving it so far.

Python interpreter? Easy peasy, just some dependencies here and there. Make does a good job.

Linux kernel? Piece of cake, 20 years of development will be freshly served on your machine after one hour compiling (I have a pretty powerful computer).

Black Friday is the time where you consider to buy a new laptop and finds that laptop companies don't know how to make one for programmers. Either they are shit or they are gamer laptop that have 2~4 GB of video memory you will never use and costs thousands of dollars.
Is it hard to make one with good CPU, RAM and a SSD without concluding that you are a hardcore gamer and you need an expensive video card along with it?

I do have good resume, I am full of energy, I can spend a lot of time on solving problems and development. I can learn new things.

If you're as bad at web design as me, I recommend tailwind css to you.

I've been using it today and had a good time.

By providing a set of design-centric classes, it makes it easy to learn and apply good design practices without losing css control.

This is paramount to me since I know a couple of css tricks, but not too many. With this you can't miss any of the fundamental ones.

It also lets you combine multiple classes into one via the @apply directive, so the html classes don't go crazy, and you don't have to write too much css. Huge amount of lines saved.

To top it off, they have plenty screenscasts that not only teach you how to use tailwindcss, they show you fundamentals good web design.

I like reading documentation.

BUT I really hate writing one for a project that I have nothing to do with it.

I am charged to write a documentation just because they think I am good on expressing and structuring ideas.

The provider offer emailsservices, webhosting, dns services. So far so good.

The only problem that I can find here is that everything is hosted on one single IP.

This is one of “those desk books” that you gotta have imo. Personally I love giving names to categories of things, helps us better recognize patterns if we can classify them.

Software can always be improved, this book give you a good majority of the most common refactorings it’s like a recipe book almost.. shows you the code smell... give you the detailed recipes to fix it. Great to have in code reviews.

Doesn’t matter that this book is in JavaScript the concepts and ideas are the big pictures in this book.

One of my previous employers basically said "write your own and we'll sign it".

I've never seen one, I'm not a native speaker and from what I understand there are a lot of subtleties to be careful of.

Why the fuck is 32 bit still a thing on modern windows? I'm trying to make a program that injects some CBT/Shell event handler code into all running applications and I have to do everything twice because the majority of my programs run in 32 bit mode and I can't inject my 64 bit dll... I hope that one day we will say goodbye to 32 bit for good. Fuck!

I have over one month spare time before joining the company. I have always wanted to learn an instrument but I'm also 'thinking' of joining a gym but I don't have any fantasies for big biceps and I am a big time foodie.

I have read that learning new instruments would help you in critical and out of the box thinking which is a definite plus while programming. While joining a gym would be a good way to keep myself fit in this hectic world of programming.

What is your opinion on hopping from one language to another?

So far I have been programming for a little over a year and have used Python, Lua, Javascript amd C++, planning on trying Java in the very near future.
I've had quite a positive experience with switching languages so far, especially when starting out. Some concepts I wouldn't understand, but after seeing them from a perspective of a different language I finally got it. Do you think it's good to know a lot of languages, or in the long run is it better to master one?

That one client who feels entitled to immediate feedback and response from you, yet they're not paying you on retainer and know good and well that you have other clients. Then they get condescending in their emails and cop an attitude when you (nicely I might add) advise them to find another developer if they want people to micro manage.

Yeah, I just fired that client. Not dealing with this anymore. Good thing about being a contractor is that you have the freedom to walk and have a backup plan. And if they try to come back, I'm hiking the rates if I even take them back at all.

Fuck my life! I have been given a task to extract text (with proper formatting) from Docx files.
They look good on the outside but it is absolute hell parsing these files, add to these shitty XML human error and you get a dev's worst nightmare.
I wrote a simple function to extract text written in 'heading(0-9)' paragraph style and got all sorts of shit.
One guy used a table with borders colored white to write text so that he didn't have to use tabs. It is absolute bullshit.

Following situation:
6 people sitting on a table having a few beers Friday evening.
3 Devs and 3 non-Dev people. The devs were talking about stories and problems with customer service...
So far so good... Suddenly one dev came up and said:

The faces of the non dev people were priceless because they imagined a totally different story.....

Once a guru of mine told me,

His words actually have made me a different person. I mean since that day, I actually started developing things on my own. Until then I was hardly good at coding. Wasn't even clear with the basics. But those words of his had a deep impact on me.

Today I suddenly started thinking about that and honestly, I'm so glad to have met him. I'm so glad that he actually said the above thing to me.
Today, I'm at a position where I can legit build anything I want.
From websites to bots, I make my ideas come to life. All thanks to my guru.

Todays story: conversation between me and my brain about a app that i have planned for a long while.

The application is just a huge, specyfic json editor/manager for a game that i like. The game uses json files to determine unit charactetistics. So in order to make modding easier i want to make a tool for that that is fancier and easier to use than a notepad.

One should trail my code and never have to find themselves where they were before in the journey. a journey should have one purpose and not pivot (context disclaimer here) as it goes. good programming is simple programming, its a story not a case of multiple endings.

You know what a fucking good place for 1000s of mp4s, pdfs, doc files, exes and svgs is? Yeah, the bloddy SVN,which mirrors to git.
And how about a ibm websphere install zip with tiny 1.3gb?
And of cause you store your fuckin perl and Shellscripts, that have been written by a plain lunatic and that are responsible for installing the crap in the repo.
What? One repo for one component? Nah, cramp like 150 different projects into on repo.
And the most important scripts have to be kept unversionized ... For reasons.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg of shit.
Btw. websphere ships its own apache2.2 and its own security lib and its own openssl compilation, with ibm java ... Filesystem hierarchy standard? Dafuq? I have job interviews at two different companies tomorrow at the same time. Can't postpone either. One is at a start-up that has super negative reviews but good pay. Other is at Amazon but has requirements half I don't even understand. It's not long before I pluck all my hair out in confusion.

I might sound like one of those wierdos that are overly into Japan, Martial Arts and such, but I really enjoy Judo.

It is a sport where you have to FEEL the contact with your opponent.
Practising Judo made my day-to-day stress go away in just about 20m and also kept me in good shape, made me meet a lot of people/friends, lead me to live in a certain way and interact with people in a certain way (a good way, actually).

It also taught me which parts of the body are the most dangerous/fragile and cause the most pain.

Goals -
1. Learn frontend and backend development. Move out of "Just android developer" description

Why doesn't Skype of business have an application for Linux? Every company meeting where a developer isn't involved is run on sfb. Being on Ubuntu it is hard to attend any such meeting. Any meeting between developers is on zoom so we're good.
We can't really convince every one (other than developers) to start using zoom.

On the one hand I really wish there was a good open-source self-hosted file sharing and collaboration service which made use of modern web technologies to provide most of its features inline as well and not just through APIs consumed by client applications.

Imagine, if you will, a table (table B) that references another table (table A) via a foreign key. The FK is a string in both tables. And table A only has one column, which is labeled as "name".

The schema i have to look at it kind of like this:

First day at the new internship. Boss man is pretty nice, but there is a language barrier I have to overcome. I'm supposed to be given a laptop, but the IT guy haven't arrived yet. One of my college classmate, now works with me in the same team. 4 years experience. I'm single, introverted and working at a fresher level. She, on the other hand, getting married with the guy she was in relationship with, she's confident and an ambivert, she's trusted at work ( I don't think she's a very nice person though) , also she's one level senior.

She's getting married, I feel that I don't have so much. I'm kind of just trying to love through the days, I remember in college she was dumber than me. But she's good. Doing good.

I'm a self taught android/Java developer, I have never been to any boot camps. But I have worked with someone who been to one.

It is good for developers who already know the concept of programming and want to improve their skills.

Hello guys, I really need some advice today...

I'm currently 18. I got accepted in two pretty equivalent colleges. One is in my city, 1h with the bus, and the other one is in another city.

Both are somewhat equivalent schools, the one in another big city is much nearer to other colleges I'd like to go to later (this one will last 2 years, then I'll have to go to engineering school for 3 years).

I have to decide monday where I'll go. It's horrible.. here, in my city, I have the person I love and the comfort of living by the parents (even tho it's a discomfort too). But the other city attracts me a lot too, independance does too.. it's horrible, I can't decide, I don't know if it's a good idea to leave, and I fear having regrets if I stay.

Have you some experience to tell me about? Some regrets you have? Or basically some advice?

Client had this 'good' idea in his web app for a local 'image viewer'. One of his clients doesn't want anything in the cloud so he said: why don't we just make a browse button, that way they can view their files but don't have to upload anything!

To you, who use Windows 11. Is there at least one feature that makes you glad you switched from 10 to 11? Or maybe not necessarily glad, but it would make you appreciate the new OS? One thing that would make the upgrade worth it... I myself can not think of a single fucking thing. (Please don't say better HDR support, that's the one most often mentioned feature. Definitely not good enough reason to have a new OS)

HR waited til one day past payroll cut off to issue my paperwork. Meaning I get paid at my old rate this month and then get back pay in my November pay slip.

The SEO guy is really, really nice. He's patient, comprehensive, he's quite good looking and everything, but my boss is a total moron when speaking about internet stuff. He makes us repeat everything at least three times, he will note everything on a sheet of paper that he will lose and write again... these reunion last 2 hours and we have one twice a month. I take a task, break it down in smaller tasks which can be done in one day, more if some problem came. But let's say if it finishes within a day and I have free time, I don't start the next thing instead I feel good that I'm done. Is it only me? 🙄

Need some advice.
A few programmers told me when I started programming that instead of learning many languages, just focus on one that I am comfortable with and try to get really good at it.
But when I look at other people's resumes or Devrant profiles, most of them have multiple languages in their skill set.
That's why I have been exploring different languages but haven't found the one yet that I think I like the best.
What should I do now? Explore more?

I just bought a new smartphone, cause i broke the one i had before, and i find it really good for only 140€. It has 4gb RAM and 1,5Ghz 4 cores processor, and an IP68 Shock/Dust/Water protection. The only problems that i have are that as the brand is not really popular (model is Phonemax Rocky 1), there are no recovery/roms or easy ways to root it. Maybe if i have time i'll try to port TWRP and LineageOS, but i'll have to do it myself... :(

I feel that people give more importance to good portfolios and projects rather than college degrees in this day and age. I've come across many professionals (in different fields) who are self taught and who I feel have a deeper understanding that others who have degrees or Ph.D s. Does one still necessarily need to go to uni to get employed?

I've just recently finished a front-end, online one. As an experience it was awesome, I had contact not only with my mentor (great guy), but also with a lot of like-minded people. As a finishing touch we had a week of classes with an HR specialist to polish up our portfolio, CVs and to guide is through recruitment process. I can't really say much, as I'm still looking for a job, but I have a good feeling 'bout it all :)

I'd like to one day be as good as my tutors or my better half.
Overseeing research code and developing it further with very little documentation seems like a very precious skill to me. They have my respect for that.
That would also involve getting a phd.

So the company that I work at is hiring a couple of new devs and they’ve put me in charge for test in order to see if the applicants are any good.
When I was hired there were no tests so I don’t have that many ideas for a good one.

Have you guys any good recommendations for a test or what it could consist of?

I’m thinking of having multiple small tests so if one misunderstands the task it’s not the whole test they fail. Would that be a good idea or not?

I get bouts of motivation and when I do I pick up 100s(clearly exaggerating) of things to learn which includes taking up new courses everywhere(literally), trying to be an open-source contributor, the most recent one is I've purchased a Ukulele (it's going good so far, well thanks for my $1 Masterclass subscription that I took last year!).
The sad part is that I have many unfinished courses everywhere. I'm learning to handle one thig at a time.

Learning C++ in university for all three years. They have decided that teaching only one language is good and that once you know one language you can pick them all up.

Not sure how true this is... also sick of the lecturer saying "In the real world you would not do it this way but" I wish university's would just teach real life skills and not how to pass a test. What am I spending £9000 a year on....

Ok story number 2, this one takes place back when I was at Uni.
We had a group project where we had to make a basic website. Nothing fancy, just basic HTML/CSS/JS.
We were a group of 3, one of the guys did a fairly good job with the CSS, he made a really good looking banner/footer and a kind of ‘featured’ page which looked awesome.
But the other guy... his contribution was the ‘contact us’ page, which consisted of a totally static table with dummy info and an embedded Google map showing the location of our fake car dealership.
Meanwhile I wrote all the Javascript, complete with a fake in-memory database containing our car data for displaying on the home page. Even had basic filtering. I made sure to mention in the peer review that I felt like he could have done more.

So I am in a dilemma right now... I have like two lifes right now: One the one side I am a student in applied computer science and on the other side I am already working in a Dev company and as a freelancer. Compared to my work, university is boring as hell. I would love to just skip university and start my own company with my other freelancer friend! We already have some clients so we would have a good start. But many people, like my parents for example, told me that need at least degree to achieve something in life. I told them that I would try do earn some certificates (like Cisco) but they are still not happy with this idea. So I would love to hear your opinion guys... Do you think that a degree is absolutely necessary? Thanks in advance!

One of my seniors is leaving the team. Honestly, I did not talk about personal stuff with him but during this lockdown, he was the only one whom I talked to this much. My most projects are with him, so in the team I kind of only know him. And now he is leaving, I feel so heavy.

I was anyway feeling no interest in my work, and now this, I really don't want to work at all. I don't want to be in this team, really without his guidance I can't do good. And this reminds me now I don't have anyone in the team to guide me. It's the same feeling as you get old and now no one to support you and you need to support yourself and slowly others. It's frightening.

On a good note, I hope things will turn out to be good for him, he's a nice person after all :) Everyone respected him, and he was trusted so much.

They gave me a choice between a Linux or MacOS laptop. I've never owned a MacOS laptop before and I've been using Linux as my main OS for around 6 years or so now.
Also, abount a month ago I bought a new laptop on which I installed linux.

So basically, I have a Linux laptop for personal stuff and I was thinking of getting the MacOS one for work. Does anyone have any relevant experience and, if so, how did it turn out?

Guys i have a macbook from my company but i used windows all the time. i cant setup the macbook as I need. No karabiner etc. Managed by the company. In Private i still use windows.
Switching back and forth between them is fucking up my dev experience. So i am looking at ways to change my windows keymapping instead. Any suggestions? Hardware and software appreciated. Maybe a keyboard which u guys have good exp with? Or a setup? Cant be the only one here .

Been working for a client in different time zone. We are an offshore team of 18 ppl. Now we have 2 an hour long meetings daily, one is our internal and the other is with the client.
Today I mentioned that we are consuming 36 man hours daily just in the meetings and they were like, nah man, we are good. 🙄🙄

(If anyone remember) A lot of mine two months old rants were related to one of my client who also happened to be my relative. Now this client's uncle (who is also a relative) sent a message to me and asked me if I can put one of his nephew in my company. He assured me he's a good programmer.

JavaScript has made my mind a battlefield of positive and negative thoughts. One side is telling me I'm not good enough, I cant do anything on my own, I dont understand how to do anything and it's always going to be like that. And the other side is telling me I'm fine it's a whole new side of programming (compared to python) and I just have to get used to it and its behavior, and I have to practice more and find good resources (which I have now thanks to a lot of you) idk I'm just struggling cause I realize how far behind I am and I wont be able to get and hold a job if I'm this shit at everything
