I become Windows insider as soon it was announced. I have been using Skip head branch for my main pc for the last 5 years.

It meant installing at least three windows version every month for the last 5 years. It was a good journey(Still going on).

The one thing surprised me that in those last 5 years that windows never started installing the update when I was working. Not a single time my work or progress was lost due to windows update.

I am too lazy to automate a task from which I suffer each month one or two hours (for the last 7 years).. Automation would cost me only one or two hours at most!

In the last one and a half days I optimized our Angular UnitTests. There‘re written with Karma and Jasmine. Before the optimization they needed ten minutes for around 400 tests. Now the same tests are executed in 12 seconds.

I have spent the last 24 hours trying to connect a postgres db and a docker contained application both running on the same vps.

What no one told me was docker applications run on a separate network interface…

Last year my goals were two:

Wondering what is the best true random generator ? Weather in Paris. One month ago, snow chaos. Last week it's almost 30 (celsius) and now it's raining and the windchill is around -100 celsius.

I do some robotics stuff on the side. We built our robot around a Raspberry Pi last year. We had 2 Python scripts talking over TCP, one for the bot, one for the controller. Overflowed the buffer on the bot and it went berserk once the script crashed.

Last year, one of our government organizations' websites' edit page was editable without login credentials... People can easily modify or even delete a company. They had a login functionality for employees and was pretty much useless.

Well, our client had purchased some inbuilt e-commerce platform and that was assigned to me for customization.

From last one month, stripe connect payment issue was stuck, I was looking into it but no luck, I even updated my boss that I need help from some senior dev. But no luck. Ultimately Today I want to give up on this project, just making my last tries.

And found the issue its just one variable is not set and causing whole payment method to failed:(

huhh.. But Finally relax , Today is deadline of the task. Happy that I completed.

FML, I almost forgot we have croissants every Friday morning… managed to scavenge one of the last ones left.

I just intentionally used the "All My Files" shortcut in Finder. There was me thinking "no one would ever use this" for the last 4 years

Question; if you've got a team member who's been phoning it in during the last few sprints and their inattention causes extra work for others, what do you do?

- Have a private word directly one to one.
- Say nothing but bitch amongst yourselves
- Complain to the team lead
- Call them out during a daily standup and tell them they're producing shit.

Well I would say a pretty humbling experience was my last job interview where my new boss and hr guy were truly shared by my skills and then the first day at work where my boss said please do this decision, I really need an opinion by an experienced developer like you as I am not sure which one is the better one.
