Me: Yep I sent an email with an update on everything.
Boss: ok great, *shares screen*, *opens email*.
Ok want to walk us through it?
Me: ...... walk through my email?
Boss: Yeah we have everyone here in the meeting.
Me: ...... yeah I included all of them on the email.
Boss: Right, but it would be good to go through it for everyone’s benefit.
Me: *Reads email word for word, from the screen share*
I will now refer to him from this day forth as “The Time Vampire”.20 -
How it usually goes:
1. Have an idea
2. Do about 3 of those things:
- sketch out a few diagramms of how it would work
- think of a name and buy the url
- estimate what you would have to buy and what it would cost
- make a project folder
- lean back, imagine life after the idea made you rich and famous
- write about 2% of the required code
3. Get distracted or don't have time to work on thr idea
4. Have new idea, repeat from 122 -

And there's a programming expression called TIME TO DEVELOPMENT, you stupid brick.2 -
Timezones. So, general rules are:
1. If you don't store timezone, always use and assume UTC. Databases, backends, whatever you use, all time must be kept be in UTC.
2. If you store timezones, ensure you store them everywhere and don't drop them anywhere.
3. It's always better to ignore backend server time in favor of database's `now().` Having a single source of truth makes time consistent (if it's the same database, obviously). If you combine backend time and database time, you likely get a violation of causality.
I've just spent a couple of hours investigating "weird random one-hour time drifts on updates." Guys violated all three rules above:
- they didn't store the timezone;
- their servers had inconsistent timezones. Java was in +XX., while the server itself in UTC. On one host, they forgot to put JVM in the same timezone;
- they dropped the timezone because they thought it was the same everywhere, so there was no point in serializing it.

So I've been thinking, since there are a lot of people on here who want to learn stuff, have a lot of leftover time and so on, and I do NOT have this right now (I only have time to work at the privacy website thingy as for now), what about I post some of the stuff I'd love to make but don't have the time for on here either as rants or collabs? The only requirements I'd have are:
- Being able to participate in them as soon as I get time
- Getting credit.
- The projects being released open source under a license which makes sure that they'll stay open source.

Just got moved from contractor to full time at my dream company halfway through my contract. On top of the world right now 😀5

Everyday single day I have to give time for family, personal work and office. Prioritized in that order.
End result : low quality family time, pending personal projects. Office work - well that one is OK I guess cos the time is dedicated.
Solution : made a deal with wife - one day on weekend dedicated for family (she can plan anything she wants) and I will not do any work. Other day dedicated for my personal work/time (no family plans).
Divide weekdays similarly. On family days I checkout at sharp 4pm from office and come home straight spend the rest of the day with family alone. On the other days I stay either at office or go somewhere to work or hangout with dev buddies.

End result: Quality family time. No interruption when coding (a dev would understand the importance of this). More productive work.6 -
My country just changed its time zone from UTC+3 to UTC+2.
Now I have to change the server to handle requests correctly!

Did I every tell you about that time I scared a boss (not mine, he was in the room) so much, that he was to scared to enter my office for the next couple of weeks? 😅

Tl;dr: He was the reason I was working at max capacity and then he started complaining that shit wasn't working.
Full story:
I was out of office, building up a new site. I was the only IT working that day, others were out on vacation.
Suddenly I start getting flooded with calls from other sites, that nothing works. It is so bad, that my boss can't reach me on the company phone, so he calls me on my private phone.
Apparently all the servers are down.
So me into a taxi, heading for the main office.
When I get there I just start booting the servers on by one, because they didn't like that they had lost power. While I'm working, my boss is standing there, ready to help.
Another boss enters the office and goes: "I can't access Navision". To which I quickly reply something like: "Well everything is down, I'm the only one who can fix it and I'm working as fast as I can".
Two weeks later, another employee tells me, that the other boss has been running all his equipment off a battery backup, since the failure, because his power cord failed. He spilled a cup of coffee on it and therefore was the reason, that all the servers lost power (bad setup, I know). And apparently I was so frightening that he didn't have the courage to ask for a new power cord 😂
Best thing was that my boss never stopped me or told me that I did something wrong.2 -
Two friends and I are about to publish a side project in two weeks (for an open Beta) it feels good but I am kind of nervous...
Today I found new bugs and I don't know yet if we have the time to fix them all...

Who cares about living longer, with more money and not bzing ill? If I had a wish I'd get my oN room of hyperbolic time so I'd get to finish what I want and do stuff I know it'd take YEARS to do (i.e. read everything DC and Marvel ever released)

Most tedious part of my day...
While meetings are boring and awful and all, it's probably spinup times for me. Each and every change requires a minimum of 35 seconds of spinup to test. If i'm testing something with mailers or other daemons, that increases to easily 90+ seconds (plus the worker thread pickup times).
It's not enough time to do anything useful, and more than enough time to lose my focus. It turns every task into boring, tedious struggle. It's awful.
Apart from my coworkers, this is the single worst part about my job. (Okay, the awful code quality totally pushes this to third place.)4 -
Spent a couple hours writing a new feature yesterday, and finished it only to discover that somebody lazily wrote the global method that my feature was utilizing. Emailed them and told them that I completed the feature and asked them to fix the bad method. Figured that I wouldn't commit my code changes until he fixed his method. He proceeds to fix the method, and then completely redoes the feature I ALREADY TOLD HIM THAT I FINISHED. He removed me from the backlog story that I was assigned to and did the feature the exact same way I did. Motherfucker I already told you that it was done, you just needed to fix your lazy shitty global method. You did twice the work and wasted my time. If you wanted credit for your work, that's fine -- you could've created a new story to fix your method. Now I've wasted hours of my time writing a feature and then reverting the changes because you couldn't follow directions

Oh man. I have been waiting for this one. Gather round lil' chil'rens it's story time.
So. I was looking for a new project because my old one was wrapping up and that's what my company does. So I was offered some simulation type stuff. I was like "sure why not, I want to make a computer pretend it isn't a computer no more." Side note I should not be a psychiatrist.
So, prior to coming on to this job I felt stifled by my old job's process. This job was a smaller team so I thought the process would be a little smoother. But it turned out they had NO process. Like they had a bug tracking system and they held the meeting to add things to the system, but that was just fucking lip service to a process.
First of all, they used the local disk on the test box as their version control. and had no real scheme as to how they organized it. We had a CM tool but gods forbid they ever fucking use it. I would be handed problem reports and interface change requests, write a bug to track it, go into the code and about 75% of the time or more it had already been worked. However, there was no record of it being worked and I would have to fucking hunt that shit down in a terribly shitty baseline (standardize your gods damned indentation for fuck's sake) and half the time only found out it was done because when I finally located the piece of code that needed changing, the work was already done.
Then, on top of all that, they ask me what time I want to come in. I said 10am, they said okay. One day I roll in at 10 and my boss is mad. Because I missed a meeting. That was at 9. That I wasn't told about. He says I can keep coming in at 10am though (I asked and volunteered to help get him up to speed on the things I was working he said it wasn't necessary) so I did, but every time I missed a 9am meeting he would get pissed. I'm like PICK ONE!!! They move the meeting to 9:30am (which is not 10am).
This shit starts affecting my health negatively. Stress is apt to do that. It triggered an anxiety relapse that pushed me back in to therapy for the first time in 7 years. On top of that the air quality in the office is so bad that I am getting back to back sinus infections and I get put on heavy antibiotics that tear up my stomach along with the stress and new meds tearing up my stomach. So one day as I am laid out in pain, I call out sick. Two days in a row. (Such a heinous crime right.) Well I missed a test event, that I wasn't even the primary or secondary on.
So fast forward to the most pissed off I have ever been. I get called in to a meeting with my boss's boss. As it turns out, my coworkers are not satisfied by the work that I'm doing (funny because I thought I was doing pretty good given that my only direction was fix the interface change reports and problem reports. And there was no priority assigned to any of them).
And rather than tell me any of this, they go behind my back to the boss and boss's boss. They tell me I need to communicate (which I did) and ask for help when I need it (I never did). That I missed an important event (that I played no part in and gods forbid I be sick) and that it seemed like I didn't want to be there (I didn't but who WANTS to work a corporate job).
They put me on a performance improvement plan and I jumped to another project. I am much happier now. Old coworkers won't even say hi, not even those I was friendly with, but fuck them anyway.5 -
Honestly, i hate math or actually i hate that i suck at it. I graduated CS and if u put a math problem any bit more advanced than basic linear equations i will turn red. I wish i was good at it. I think if i was, id be able to do much more cool shit because combining math and the ability to control a computer basically makes you a demi god.
If i had some free time i’d love to go over the basics on khan academy or something. But free time doesnt come by a lot coz we’re too busy trying to make money and id rather just rest and chill when it does.
Tho if a cute girl offered to tutor me in that free time i’d definitely say yes 🧐15 -
Time tracking. 😡🤮 If I’m salaried and only working on one project for one client, why the hell should I waste my time making weekly reports of how many hours I spent coding, reviewing pull requests, and sitting in (mostly pointless) meetings?6

Wrote some code that solved a program in a semi unique way for the codebase. As in not oft used functionality of language.

You've got to be a masochist to be a javascript/typescript developer.
Each time I come back to the npm-related parts of my project, the application won't start because of some dependencies nonsense. And I know for sure I left the project working perfectly last time.
Every time... every fucking time! Just leave the project unattended for a week and be sure you'll find it dead next time.
I mean I as a developer don't really have to do ANYTHING for my code to break.
How can people love javascript is a mystery to me.15 -
I hate time.
Yes, that dimension which unidirectionally rushes by and makes us miss deadlines.
Also yes, that object in most programming languages which chokes to death on formatting conversions, timezones, DST transitions and leap seconds.
But above all, I hate doing chronological things from the point of view of code, because it always involves scheduling and polling of some kind, through cron jobs and queues with workers.
When the web of actions dependent on predicted future and passed past events becomes complicated, the queries become heavy... and with slow queries, queues might lock or get delayed just a little bit...
So you start caching things in faster places, figure out ways to predict worker/thread priorities and improve scheduling algorithms.
But then you start worrying about cache warming and cascading, about hashing results and flushing data, about keeping all those truths in sync...
I had a nightmare last night.
I was a watchmaker, and I had to fix a giant ticking watch, forced to run like a mouse while poking at gears.
I fucking need a break. But time ticks on...2 -

Just signed a contract as a full-time web developer at Mid-Norway's largest productions house.
Prior 6 months as an apprentice, no prior formal education, self-taught since the age of 12, and I'm 20 now.
I see myself needing a stress ball in the future3 -
Most of us can and have gotten freelance work before, but I've only met a couple of alleged full time freelancers, and the idea has always fascinated me. For those of you who actually are able to pull it off, what's a typical day like, and how do you maintain a steady stream of clients?6

Today I was having conversation with my friend about time consumed in fixing errors. Our non coder friend was silently listening to us.
After we finished our lunch he stood up and said,

Saw that my post got 30++, Paused music and stopped opening my js files on my project, wrote a quick email to stickers@devrant.io, and then ended up browsing for so long I do not even know/ realize what time it is now, and certainly not what the time was when I started.

Time management tips one must follow to be successful:-
1. Remove distractions:- Phone, Whatsapp, Instagram, FB, etc. All away from you during work.
2. Remove clutters: Get rid of not required things.
3. Eliminate redundancy
4. Emulate others: (My favourite) If someone has spend time and done some work. Do not reinvent the same work done just replicate that work and continue from that point.
5. Share burden: Team work and depending on others is not bad.
6. Make work fun: Most important if you enjoy your work you will give your best.5 -
It's rant time!
So, as a broke electrical engineering student, I got this job in a local company. They used JSF and my skills in java were, at the very least, small (former PHP developer). But as a self taught developer this didn't stopped me and I went full on java learning (very bad year for my EE studies).
I became the 'guy in charge' for several of their projects (yeah, they did exploited broke students, I realized this far too late). I was very proud of myself, I worked hard, showed my true value, and they became impressed.
One nice thursday night, my "handler" emailed me with a urgent request. They needed an entire jsf application done by monday and the requirements were fairly complex.
Oh boy, I had a total of 10h of sleep from thursday to monday. I didn't even slept before going to my monday class, but I delivered the system. Got an pat in the back... "you're awesome"... I was happy.
6 months later: I received an email asking to fix a bug in the system. No problem with that. Oddly, this bug was a MAJOR bug. There's no way the system worked properly for six months with it. I fixed it in no time and commited the changes.
Turns out that this was the first time the system was going to be deployed. They made me go in an insane weekend dev project, and didn't even used the system for SIX MONTHS!!! I started to work my way out the company after this, aiming to open my own software company.
I still remember some other rants from the time I worked there. But these are for later.

started my own small business around half a year now. a month earlier from that my cousin also started his career as a self employed dev with his own small business and we work together.
next year we we will start a company together, where we merge our existing small businesses into one. we are developing software on our own and we design and implement software for our customers.
seems like we are doing something right because we are reaching our capacities almost all of the time.
we plan to hire apprentices (hope it's the right word) and to teach them all we know to be able to then increase our possible workload.
you know, I do not have a degree or some form of education in the field of IT. And here in germany it was almost impossible to land a job as a dev. needed my cousin who studied cs to get me my first position in that field - and even with his reputation it was not easy.
this shit will not happen on my watch. If I see someone with fire for development I will give them a chance, irrespective of their background. And I will be more than happy to let that person grow and to give every kind of support I can.
we also plan to have something like "if the employee has a good idea for software that sells, we will support it and share revenue". got to figure out the details on that one, but I want to give the employee the possibility to grow some passive income out of their normal job - because for me this was never an option. and I think that this will motivate in some way 😅

We as developers often get a lot of pressure considering the deadline for $someProduct™.
But sometimes it happens to me that I need less than half of the estimated time for development of $randomFeature or $product™.
Do you think it is fair to (rarely) procrastinate a bit in order to not show your boss that it needed much less time, so he will not lower his time estimations for future stuff?1 -

Programming smth complex is literally time traveling. My clock goes in these steps:
20:00 -> so much time left
22:00 -> time to wrap up soon
02:00 -> wut? Impossible
The type of projects I do is quite limited to standard library so I also don't spend time on reading docs of some dependency. I make everything myself. Afterwards, I look up what the way to go is how others do it and compare. Mostly, I don't adjust, it's just smth for next time. That's the whole hobby. Just keep going6 -

I had a friendly argument with a person over comparing visual studio with Xcode,the first thing that came into my mind when he said visual studio was visual studio code (keep in mind visual studio and visual studio code are completely different visual studio is an ide while visual studio code is a code editor )
I was arguing that there’s no point comparing an ide specifically made for iOS app dev with a code editor with intellisense with better code predictions as it would have made more sense if he was comparing a code editor with another code editor like atom or sublime.
This argument went on for a couple of mins in a group chat
Later on I found out he was talking about visual studio and not visual studio code which actually is an ide used for app dev.
This whole time I thought he was talking about vs code and he thought I was talking about visual studio 😂
I ended up agreeing it was my mistake for not getting the message in the first place 😂3 -

I have got so much stuff to learn.
I have had little to no experience with Python and JavaScript and was planning to learn the lot during my holidays. Where I'm from, we have a huge ass festival this weekend. So holidays for a couple weeks, at least. Probably the biggest festival in our country. And for the last two months, I had my exams. So no learning back then either. I have so many tabs open to learn stuff but I don't seem to get the time.
So for the last 4-5 days, I've been cleaning the house, top to bottom because its the holidays, the only time I stay home and free. It sucks to do it alone. My parents are getting old and get all sorts of back pain and shit upon little physical effort. So I should get all the stuffs done.
Yesterday, I finally finished my chores at 10 in the evening. But by the time the chores were finished, I was finished too. *sigh* I guess I shall find some time soon.2 -

Converting server time to any given local timezone is a pain in the ass.. at least in JS.

I am working as intern with a super cool startup. I love working here.
But, for the past few days I've been busy with college, exams stuff. This has affected my work severely. I'm constantly past deadlines etc.. The startup understands the fact and also puts no pressure on me for to show up every day and decreased my workload.
College work will be the same for the next two months. I don't want to underperform at the company, at the same time cant do away with my college too.
It's like a relationship where you love the girl a lot but are genuinely too busy to spend time with her.
I'm meeting my supervisor today. I need a subtle way to let him know of the same. I know this would mean me leaving the company, but I want to join them back after two months. Or at least be a work from home, part time employee.

The question is generic and for good reason.
Yesterday, semi-seriously, my gf asked me when we'll have a baby, I answered, seriously, that it's gonna be when I'll feel ready to share the daily time with someone as demanding as another family member growing up.
Now, between job time, hobbies time and girlfriend (gonna marry soon) time the time is already tight and because I'm self sufficient about happiness and kind of a loner I don't share really much time with her most of the days, and from this realisation from her side she broke into crying.
From that experience I understood that there might be need some adjustment on my side.
But on another side I'm puzzled of how other families deal with this, because though my life I've seen couples/married-people that had not really much interactions with each other on a daily basis and seemed fine with living like that.
So knowing this context, what's your experience about this phenomenon through your life time?4 -

Our parents keep reminding us about the time change that happens every half a year. To remember that the clocks need to be adjusted. Don't even say your initial time estimate/guess out loud. It will probably become your deadline, and you probably assumed that most things would take a reasonable amout of time.
Bonus: Try to get onto projects that you think you can get interested in. Once on a project try to keep interested in it's success.8 -

After an hour of writing code with no testing anything I finished. Ran the JUnit tests provided by the teacher and it passed all the tests!

People just can’t show up on time. I respect people’s time and I do not waste a minute of anyone s time. I do not like it. Time is a precious resource and we should all treat it as such. I expect the same from other people too.
There was a meeting supposed to happen a month or so back. Me and another guy. This meeting was basically giving him the resource utilization and some cost related details for the budget our team used up. They wanted a more granular report than the generic ones we submitted.
He scheduled it once and about ten minutes before he cancelled it. Fair enough.
A week later he sent an invite and the next day he cancelled it a few hours before the meeting. Fair enough I’m still not pissed.
A month or so since the first scheduled meeting, he scheduled a meeting and I turn up and he s not there and I wait for about half hour before I leave. Next day I get an email saying he s sorry. Now I’m pissed.
A couple weeks back he schedules a meeting and I turn up and I could see through the glass door and he s talking to someone in the room he s in. He signals to me to wait for five minutes. It takes about 20. Finally I go in and he s relieved so he can finally get the data from me. I tell him I waited for twenty minutes and I have to somewhere and asked him to reschedule the meeting. He asks when and I tell him a time where I know he won’t turn up. About 8 30 in the morning. He says yes.
Next day I show up he s not there and I wait for ten minutes and just he s walking in to the floor I exit the room and run to my place. He comes over and asks and I tell him I waited for sometime and I’m busy now and he mumbles and goes away.
By this time it is already a week or so after the deadline. The bigger boss from finance turns up and asks me why I haven’t given them the data I asked for. I tell him they schedule meetings and don’t turn up on time and my other work is getting affected productivity blah blah and he says okay make the report and give it to me. I tell him no I’m not wasting anymore time on this.
He goes to my boss creates a little ruckus my boss comes over and he goes wtf. I tell him what happened. He says it’s okay give them the report. I’m like I don’t know where I kept it must be somewhere I can’t waste anymore time on this. Guy from finance joins us at this point and angrily says he’ll find it himself and don’t need our help anymore.
The file is in my laptop I use for travel. Just a local copy. Zero fucking backups. And I just deleted it.

I think one of my biggest mistakes as a dev in the becoming is to have tried to produce code rather than think code.
The patience to try and understand a problem rather than just solve it.
After spending 2 hours on what seemed like a ridiculously small issue，i know what the problem was before solving it.
Which meant i did take longer to solve it but i DID NOT take the wrong direction. Which would ultimately have come back to my face some time soon.

It took me hours throughout the weekend to get a stupid table UI and JSON serialization system working on a small project. Meanwhile I remember two guys created a Pokémon Go client in a couple days (back when I had a Windows Phone that didn't have one). Like, how important is time in the industry? You would think that one might get used to the following scenario, but it still pisses me off every time it happens. I'm getting a design created by the customer that is specific to a pixel-level. The product I create in turn is very close to a 100% match visually and functional. And then a few days later, the work already done, I get renewed versions of the same designs. Just like that. With all those nooks and crannies replaced and new ones added, as if it didn't took time, effort and experience to make them functional in the first place. And no one blinks an eye. Not the customer, not our project managers. So after having me built you intricate card board house, you just smash it and tell me to rebuild? It's not always a huge deal but it happens so often and I guess it's part of the "customer is king" mentality, but it's bullshit. If the customer hands in a final design, then that's it. Any changes afterwards need to be paid extra. Otherwise it feels like I'm wasting my time and those changes will not get the same quality treatment for sure.1

How on earth are you supposed to deliver a precise estimate of assignments, when your client wants the assignments estimated in parts, but youre not able to split it into parts because its a chain of assignments, that cant be split, like if one Thing succeeds then its possible to move on to next part? I had an interview for a position with an initial part-time duration of 2 months.
It was a team lead role with full-time work only after two months. After some discussion about the role and the compensation, they asked me to get back with my expected salary for the part-time duration (they had a low number in mind from what I could understand as they were comparing it with my previous salary).
So considering what they were going to offer me for the full-time position, the part-time duration (3 hrs/day for two months), and the lead role, I followed up with a higher number (with some reasoning behind it) than they mentioned during the call.
I did not hear back from them after this. -

My most consistent enemy at work is this fucking system I have to work in, holy shit. Not only is there no default support for shit you would really think there should be, no real control over the interfaces with the UI, and the far too complicated method they use to magically make said interfaces, but we also have to use their build environment to build this shitty thing. So builds take anywhere from 4 to 12 minutes a pop and ridiculous style guide will stop the build, no questions asked, for dumb violations like spaces between if and (. And it doesn't catch these, sometimes, until 7 or 8 minutes in. I have wasted so much time on this. And seeing as we work in 2 week sprints that are really 7 to 10 day sprints based on whatever hair goes up my bosses ass and have to deliver feature complete in those two weeks, I can't really afford all this nonsense. I used to joke about having an alcohol problem, but I think I actually may be developing one at this point.

Any iPhone app developers. desperately looking for a very basic app that controls iPad screen time. For example between the hours of 9pm and 9am the screen is locked and requires a passcode to use it. The passcode has to be different to the device passcode to be set by parent. Set for weekdays etc. a bit like you would set central heating. apps out there are way too involved and based on setting individual app time. Hope someone can do this, i guarantee it’ll sell. Fuck testcomplete, fuck having to spend 40 minutes mapping out every element just to still hang 5 minutes every time you try to check the existence of one, fuck having a software who's sole purpose is to automate testing and save time take hours upon hours to do what a person can do in seconds, and fuck me for having to use this piece of shit to test every single change made to our site.

Starting yesterday, I'm going to study a total of 400 hours over the next 3-4 months on coding, system design, and behavioral interviews. My goal is to 2x my current salary (currently make almost 6 figures) and get out of this shitty company. I want to make it big and say that my studying was all worth it.

Just a thought. Writing a program then clicking run, and your code runs first time, should be something that becomes more common place as one improves their coding ability, now that we call development. To be always surprised when that happens, almost seems to say that such is a matter of luck.3

So my coworker asked for help with his work. I understand that sometimes talking about the problem with someone else will help solve the problem, but seriously, don't ask me "How do I fix this?". If you wanted me to help you fix something, go to lunch and let me work on it for a couple of hours. I can't fix something by telling you what to do. I need time to look into the problem myself, do research, and run tests on my own. Telling to do that over your shoulder is a complete waste of our time.
Also, his attitude of complete helplessness is tiring. It's hard to help someone who continually reminds you of how much he just wants to give up.2 -

Starting Out In Web Development (again)
The Question
I am looking for some suggestions on tools or frameworks to look into for a hobby project I wanted to try. I have always felt that _time_ is quite interesting so I was going to knock something up to present the current time in a lot of formats (All the ISOs I can find, GPS Time, Week Numbers, Mian Calendars, Metric Time, etc).
My Background
It has been a while since I did anything much with website related bits. Long ago I wrote HTML (4 or XHTML I think) out but hand for simple things. I added a little JavaScript to do a rollover image substitution. At some point I also did some JavaServerPages (JSP).
In the non-web world;
* I am quite good at C & C+
* I am OK with Go, Python, Ruby, BASH
* I can cobble together JavaScript, Java, JSP and a bunch of other things but I will be a bit slow and doing a lot of "online research" to aid me.

Have you ever scoped a task to be a certain amount of time and at the end of that scoped time asked for more time because you think you can still achieve what you are trying to do but after the extra time has expired, you find out that the task is near impossible?

Anyone know what's the current situation with part-time jobs in the web development field? I want a job but I'm in college so full-time is a no-no. I've been trying to find something part-time (internships mostly) but I'm not a US citizen (some sites require that) and I'm looking for something remote, and that's been pretty hard to find. Any ideas where I can look for this stuff or if such jobs even exist?
The best I've managed to find are full-time internships, I tried applying to them seeing if I can work part-time instead but no one mailed back :( -
Tracking/logging hours, how do you do it? Is there some decent software for Linux that does this?
I wanna start tracking my time doing specific tasks, so I'm just wondering what other ppl use, if at all hehe1
