Most of the called out inconsistencies are actually because it is consistently following C/POSIX equivalent or people that don't understand dynamic typing (it doesn't mean any shit will stick).

A friend of mine got an account hacked on Crunchyroll. Whenever he tried to login, the website told him that no account with his email existed. As I had two accounts, I tried something real quick. I logged in to the account I'm not using and tried to change the email address to a 10 minute mail. I logged into my own email account patiently waiting for a confirmation email. After 10 minutes I still hadn't received it. So I checked the 10 minute mail, and there it was. I can't describe how furious I got with Crunchyroll at that point. Are you for real? It's that easy? Fucking idiots. I hope the guy responsible for that system dies in a fire with a thousand rubber penises up his ass!7

Seems like everything on android is a "hack" or temporary solution, thanks to google .
Now how the fuck should i create a custom SMS inbox when:
1) i can't run the SMS broadcast reciever in a background service(because background services are deprecated )
2)message SMS reciever in a foreground service ,because this service is not fucking foreground! when the app is cleared from the recents , it shows the service as running, but on recieving the next message , the service dies??wtf?? i think its something related to processes

This is not really the reason I got these parts, but I just had them lying around and have been following the project for some time... so why not? Haha. I was also thinking it might be cool to set these up to auto-disrupt known AP names that would be issued by companies most responsible for the dismantling of Net Neutrality. As desktop software, it's just brutally terrible. On my work mac, it's just sweaty garbage. The latest insult is that on the most recent update, msword stole the default file association from preview.
Libre isn't terrific, but at least it's closed when you close it. For that reason alone, it's orgasmic by comparison.
Because there's justice in the world, my job is not a document-centered one, so I have no real use at all for an office app, let alone the specific macros and formulae that the msoffice versions of these apps provide, so I couldn't give less of a shit about losing functionality.

How can I use a custom DNS server on my schools network?
They seem to block any DNS that isn't their own. I've tried 8.8.8.8 and the new cloudflare one. Both blocked, it's a real issue because their default dns dies for about a minute every 12/24 hrs causing my VPN to go down.

Man soo much has happened. I broke ( 2. Months ago ) my main phone = Oneplus 1. Then I proceeded to throw my sim card into my backup phone = iPhone 4. So within that time I've started working at the same remote company my brother/ I work for as a python dev. But I am deffinatly learning as I go. Been there a month this week! So with this being my second job. I finally had enough money to buy nonessential so 4 day ago I ordered a new glass and digitizer assembly for my main phone it came today I fixed in just under 2 hours as my first phone repair. Come back to an 8 month old project and I can't update the website because something in webpack needs something in python to compile... Um why. Literally just a poster with some images and a markdown parser.
So I spent 5 hours and 850 lines of code later modernizing the code and... I have the same website again but now it compiles. Woo? -

For that in python i use main thread, a class Water.py extends Threading and Light.py extends Threading
In the __init__.py file i put my main function that get argv for execution. One of my arguments is -v (--verbose)
I want to pass that args to my class instances.

Turns out the reason the current tester12 build of Linux 3DS hangs on my 3DS (at the very least) is due to it trying (and failing) to get the version of the onboard NAND (where the Nintendo-sanctioned code resides), which hangs. If I boot the known-working copy of Linux 3DS and run parted, it instantly dies due to my NAND making it say "Error: A partition cannot reside outside of the disk!"
Either the onboard NAND is dying or Linux is just being an asshole. Either way... fuck my life. -

So I decided to have some funzies over the weekend. Started XCOM 2. Built a team for a mission, spent an hour customising. Then I spent 3 hours going through and not failing miserably even once. The last fucking part of the mission, my favourite sniper dies after getting hammered in the face with a fucking laser beam. Then I lose control of the battlefield and everyone dies. Start again because I'm NOT gonna lose my awesome sniper!

What would you say the qualitative difference is between
1. An ML model of a full simulation of a human mind taken as a snapshot in time (supposing we could sufficiently simulate a human brain)
2. A human mind where each component (neurons, glial cells, dendrites, etc) are replaced with artificial components that exactly functionally match their organic components.
Number 1 was never strictly human.
Number 2 eventually stops being human physically.
Is number 1 a copy? Suppose the creation of number 1 required the destruction of the original (perhaps to slice up and scan in the data for simulation)? Is this functionally equivalent to number 2?
Maybe number 2 dies so slowly, with the replacement of each individual cell, that the sub networks designed to notice such a change, or feel anxiety over death, simply arent activated.
In the same fashion is a container designed to hold a specific object, the same container, if bit by bit, the container is replaced (the brain), while the contents (the mind) remain essentially unchanged?

-2D array was made (kinda like a chessboard).
-Random living cell was placed on the board.
Repeat:
-If a cell has X or less cells around it (living) it duplicates.

I was amazed at the types of shapes this created. There were so many variables I could play with, and probably spent hours just experiementing. I was really satisfied in the end. 😄4 -

Hardware dying again as of last night. Tried each RAM stick individually and my two original ones seem to be the cause so far. If it dies again with the extra sticks I had in, them I'm going to assume motherboard is packing up. Already tried a spare PSU and ruled that out.
Memtest died midway at random points several times and once it tried to boot around 10 times and died at various points along the way.
I just wish there was a more reliable way to test motherboards and power supplies on the PC itself. Also, I'll be stuck with only 4GB RAM from me new sticks 😭 -
One of the complaints about some games is heavily reliant on RNG. This can lead to a lot of wasted time trying to get a drop or structure. Maybe this can be solved to some degree through weighted RNG. This is done in slot machines in Vegas. The machine has to pay out over so much interaction. It doesn't have to act this way exclusively. If we look at biology the RNG for offspring is weighted by fitness. If anything is malformed it usually dies.
So time weighting, iteration weighting, some kind of fitness weighting (prevent shit drops). What are some other kinds of weighting we could use?12 -

That third one can fit my laid back personality anyway, but it's so hard not to get caught up in worry when things like Node, Blockchain, and AI become such big crazes -- and then the hype dies down.
Of course, I do still want to learn and use Node, but anxiety about being left behind isn't a factor anymore. So that's a plus. -

It's very powerful and all but the resource needed to develop, support and maintain far outweigh the benefits.
Everything seems half finished, for example the way to deploy, update and the admin console GUI are all a massive core to work with.

Tonic is the most fucked up app on iOS. It just straight up internally dies. As soon as you try scanning the piano it scans it in the wrong plane and doesn’t scan like the picture wants it to. Then it asks you to map the first key of the piano and it moves the key vertically instead of horizontal. If you scan it the other way it does the opposite plane. I hate to say it, but planting trees won’t help us remove carbon from the atmosphere.
