I can't wait to talk with my kids about today. And I can't even imagine what we'll be capable of at that time.
It took SpaceX 15 years to pull that off and I can't wait to see more. I can't even think about the amount of engineering and developing involved in this project.

My friend and I have been debugging this server issue where the server can't find the input file.
30 minutes passed, we checked, restarted everything, still no avail.
When I saw his safari browser, THE FULL URL WASNT SHOWING. The server was working, we just didn't see a redirect behavior because of apple fucking trying to fucking prettify everything.

We want to install some kinda tracking software on his android phone to monitor everything he does for a few weeks to see what data/metadata his phone sends to what servers etc. Problem, we can't seem to find an app (free) which does this... In my opinion the image feature on devRant is not very user friendly. I think following points should be changed:
- In the rant preview the image has always a 1:>=1 ratio. This means that you can't see the full image unless the image has exactly a 1:1 or smaller ratio.
- To see the image in fullscreen mode you have to tap two times. In my opinion that's just too cumbersome. Often when i browse through devRant and i see a image i just scroll along because i don't wanna tap two times to see the image.5 -

Friend of mine had a perfect day today:
It's 3am, you're coding hard, can't even see properly, but you know only a two or three proper lines and you are finished. A few minutes later you set your pc to hibernate because you can't go further and go to sleep.
In the morning/noon you log in, see only a mess. Half of the new variables are probably obfuscated or in some alien language because you can't read that shit and a cherry on the top - 1/4 of a _big_ test suite reports errors. What a lovely day. -
Really wish we would see some OLED equipped laptops, we have massive 4K OLED TV's and Tony high resolution smartphone displays, why can't we just get a nice 1080p OLED panel, makes so much sense in a laptop IMO3

Ever got that thing, when your IDE says that you have a syntax error in your code, and you reread it again and again and just can't see it, so you just delete the whole thing and write it again - exactly the same - but now it compiles fine?3

Why is it that security (hacking) distros went so popular?
I see more and more posts pictures even on devrant featuring them. Even I see people at my uni that are on kali. I can't believe all of them are that into security. I even know two linux noob friends that wont listen to advice and went to kali as first distro.
I'd never use kali/parrot/whatever vs my current manjaro setup... I'd rather go back to arch.7 -

Well, the devs apparently thought that screens were capped height! On my monitor, the box is less than half the height, but since it stretches the width, the image got larger. So my screen has a scrollbar, and the actually useful part also has a scrollbar, with a shitton of space below!
If that didn't make sense, see crappy drawing of what I see...(painted on Phone). The dashes are the hidden parts that I can't see because of the window!

There are 3 incorrectly labeled fruit baskets (all 3 are incorrectly labeled). One basket has only ORANGES, another one has only APPLES, and the other has mixed ORANGES-APPLES. You can't see anything. You can only pull out 1 fruit from 1 of those baskets. With that, move each label to it's corresponding basket.2

After I cured my depression with Vortioxetine which was prescribed to me because of pure luck, I can notice that something has changed.
I can't tell if I like or don't like something anymore. It doesn't matter now which food to eat, what music to listen to, I just can't see the difference. I dropped all my side projects, quit my job and got another, much easier one. I don't see the big picture of things anymore. I also lost my ability to reverse-engineer problematic outcomes and find solutions.
I used to be an architect but now I can't design anything, I just forgot how to do what I could do without thinking. I forgot Lisp and Clojure, functional programming is too hard for me now. I just don't understand it.
My iq also significantly dropped.
Summarizing all that, and also remembering that liking or not liking something implies that you have a personality, I can only see one reason – I probably don't have a personality anymore.
Here's a summary of my experiences from when I was depressed:

My laptop charger is dead and my laptop can't work without it. So, basically I can't even look at code.
Colleague calls, says there is a problem with package.json and it requires my immediate attention as the APIs need to be deployed.
Me enters Sherlock mode, and remembers that I have a git hook which took a backup of my code every time I pushed and saved it on my headless tiny CHIP.
I get excited, and do an SSH from my phone, hoping to see the faulty code/file. But all I see is an outdated repository because I am an idiot who forgot to turn the fucking CHIP on after I shut it down for cleaning.

I still get them even though it's > 10 years. Usually my dreams are about maths exams where I can read the question paper but can't make out the question.
Then other days I see myself walking up to class and I don't have my school bag with me.
Other times, I know my exams are gone bad and I barely wrote anything on the answer sheet and submitted it.

I don't know if it's a bug, a feature, and something that just happens to me.. When I view someone's profile and I want to scroll down to see the rants, the "first scroll" stops at the end of the profile. Then I can scroll down more. And after, if I want to see the profile again I can't scroll up. I ended up finding out that tapping the username lets us see the profile again. I'd like to point this out because the behavior seems kinda weird to me, I don't know what others think about it5 -

I've tried Ionic in the past, and put off development with it because I couldn't get it to be performant without crosswalk.
In 2015, React Native put an end to the 'Are hybrid apps viable?' argument. It had a much smaller compile size, large component library, and is very reactive.
Ionic recently released news on scaling back their tools to focus on core offerings. I can't help but feel they're flogging a dead horse.

Our ISP asked if I was satisfied with their service. I told them that it's okay, but some of our computers don't have enough powerful network card, and they can't use the internet on maximum speed, and they said that they could see it, too. WTF? I knew that the ISP's router is not the most secure thing, but it has a remote mode, which if of course OFF, and they still can see this, and maybe even more. So a third-party service that I implemented is going to production and me and the PO were testing that yesterday, didn't see any orders coming in the service backend.. so we send a mail to them.
This morning they respond with saying that they can't have both the test server running and the production server...

mui is powerful, but I see no good in it in the field of customization.

My Internet service provider shut GitHub and now it's inaccessible. I can see all Repo's and clone them via VPN but can't push data. Any help regarding how to push data through a VPN or other way would be really helpful.

Just realised how frustrating it can be to setup Android Studio on Ubuntu and Windows, for React Native.
Was only using the creat-react-native-app yet, without the native code.
Feels good to finally see it working.

Fuck, I love soundcloud but as an artist without any reputation, it fucking sucks when you upload a song, get an instant "love" from some random "promoter/bot" without the bot having the decency to listen, and when I look at the bot's profile, they "love" tracks that are not in my genre >_< (and manage to listen 60 minutes-worth of music in 1 minute...)

I have a persistent (1) on my in-app notification bell (Android). I can't find any unread notification. It should be a comment notification. Maybe somebody generated such a notif, my phone picked it up, and then the other person undid the action that lead to the notif? (E.g. un-++, remove a comment or mention, delete their account, ???).
I see the (1) notification to on the web, and I can't find the actual notification there either!5 -

The people who thought that providing customers with a template engine to build reports was a good idea - they made a mistake...
Users can't and won't understand a 500-line template file with 'content', 'columns', 'stack' and 'data:image' in it, and nesting levels reaching 10+
Now I have to build those reports with the added complexity of working around template engine limitations.
Can't blame the people who originally invented it. I can see how they might have thought their idea with those templates might have worked out. But it didn't work out, sorry -
I've always managed the different versions of python manually on my machine, and set up virtual environments off of them.
Now I've found pyenv, it's so simple now.

Java/Maven Question
We have a project with source==target==1.7 in the compile plugin.
But on our servers we actually run it using 1.8 JVM. Is there any reason why we can't see it to compile with 1.8?
Or is it like the Windows backwards compatibility options? -
