So, at the start of November last year I completed a big system for a client. It took me months to complete.

Most frustrating was the sheer amount of pressure the client applied to get it completed. Emails every day, phone calls where the client was "checking" on my progress etc etc. All the annoying stuff.

Only plus side was the fact they paid in full a few after is was completed.

I've just released the system is still on a test AWS account and I haven't heard from the client for well over a month now.

I've just logged into the system and took a look at the logs. The client logged in once the day it was completed and hasn't done anything since.

I mean what was the point of all the pressure if they were just going to let the thing gather dust?

I'm pretty annoyed to be honest as I experienced a few fairly borderline stressful months due to that project.

I got hired to run an A/B test between a competitor landing page and a new page. While I didn’t do the new page initial design, I did advise on and completed its final tweaks. The result was a 430% increase in leads generated over the original.

our task was to find a sequence of non-overlapping (all unique) movies with a score of at least a given number
all in text form

i tried dynamic programming but the more i tried, the more it got complicated, so i ended up using "earliest finishing time first"
my code is just 3 points under the goal and i don't know what to change anymore😒, also some friends did the exact same and succeeded somehow
copying (and obfuscating) won't work, as the codes will be compared by a very good "copy checker"
let's hope i'll still have a chance for an exam😐

Well, my country has a Degree called Bsc.CSIT which literally means Bachelors of Science Computer Science and Information Technology. I completed that degree and was employed right after I completed my degree. I have worked in two offices and no one cares what degree I have.

So I think Degree is not that necessary here in Nepal as long as you can get the job done.

Now I am about to pursue a Big Data related degree hope that is not as worthless as my current degree.

Completed download and rebooted to find out that the update has vanished. Great, thanks for wasting my data, Windows. :3

It has been 2 days since I completed a project and I still don't feel like working. I wake up, waste the whole time and repeat. Ugghhh its frustrating!!!

It is so much fun to work on complex problem especially with a time bomb attached to it.

So the client ask for a new super urgent request and want to see it completed in 10 minutes.

Not that I can't do it, I just need 2-3 minutes to do it, but because of their rudeness, I left the job for my little cute interns who work at my company.

Leaving work with a task only partly completed just guarantees my mind is going to obsess about it all night and my dreams will be plagued with lines of code.

That moment you realize you just completed a task for a client because they asked for it but you didn't first check to see if the request was part of the original spec and estimate and so you don't really get to be paid for it.

So I work in a startup as an intern. My tasks are usually done before deadlines. These folks pay me at my due date after reviewing my work. This month again I have completed my task, so I asked for new work. These people are waiting for my pay day. Just a few days before my pay day they will surely give me a task and question me why I haven't completed it on time. Fucking annoying...

A friend of mine has been searching for a job for 3 months, he finally got one, signed a contract and started 2 weeks ago. Now he got an offer from a company he applied to, completed an interview and was abandoned and they want to pay 3x more than the present job. This is bad luck. Bad, bad luck

Today our customer tried to change the log dir of Kafka. Too bad he did not change the intended log4j.log, instead he changed the log.dir where kafka writes his data.

He basically tried to change the tires at 180km/h at the Autobahn. Only god knows how he managed to get the tires off. After that he slided a kilometer on his rims and wondered why the car wouldn't drive anymore.

In school,our c++ teacher gave an list of programs we had to do in lab that annual session,i was excited about learning programming so i strtrd reading my c++ book & completed all those programs in less than a month......

Finally completed the stupid boring never-ending android project and sent it to client. Phew! Now I can work on the other iOS app which I like. Yum.

I'm starting to realize that maybe the issue with my team is that they don't know how to break down complex problems into smaller parts that can be completed, tested one by one, allowing you to create save points.

To them it's either all or nothing... And once they're done, they cannot explain what they did other than it works..

I am excited about Websocket getting more popular. I just completed a project using it. It is so good for sending market data to the front.
