JUST GOT MY LAST EXAM RESULTS! FINALLY COMPLETED MY SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DEGREE!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The struggle was real.9 -
Not to be pedantic but shouldn't "100% completed" actually mean totally finished?
Why am I still watching a spinning circle?12 -
Do side projects, even if they're small. If you already have completed side projects, show them off. Employers love to see your efforts and eat that up.10
-
Completed a project for my final year CS degree and my professor rejected saying it is of very few lines of code.Hope he learns to evaluate projects on complexity and logic rather than number of lines of code. :/29
-
I like how @dfox listens to suggestions and updates the app quickly.
If only our 'agile' team completed even a single task successfully without chaos.5 -
When i was studying Engineering, I used to wonder how programmers works straight 3,4 days without sleep and all.
With today, I completed my 3rd day, with just 2 hours sleep in the last 70 hours.
Now I get it,
This is.. passion,
This is.. love,
This is Life.16 -
So today I got removed from my freelance project because the client found out I listen to slipknot! What the actual FUCK? How the FUCK does it matter what I listen to?
And that cunt eater isn't willing to pay for the work I've already completed since "Slipknot is anti-Christian".
Burn in hell you piece of shit.21 -
I just completed my first real website people will actually use and I'm so proud.
It's a great feeling.14 -

Worst bad practice..
Manager: I need code today
Developer (thinking) : let me give it without unit test. Anyways tester will test it.
Manager to tester: complete testing fast.
Tester(thinking): developer must have unit tested it. Let me skip it.
Enjoy testing completed.
God help clients.. 😊5 -
Client gave another agency access to their site while in contract with us and lied about it. Now they want me to go in and fix the bugs they caused. I reinstall the backup from the last time I completed edits and things were approved and working. Client is mad that pages are missing and ads are going to 404 pages.
Me: "Didn't you say that there haven't been any changes in the two weeks since I completed your last edits?"
Client: "Well yeah."
Me: "Then there shouldn't be anything missing."4 -
Still haven't been paid for completed a retail shop project. But all is well, since the system will not start on Black Friday till I remove the if condition 😈9

When I was 10 my younger brother saved over my fully completed pokedex in Pokemon blue.
First big data loss taught me a good life lesson. Now I backup everything on a local server.1 -
It's amazing how much you can do only in 1-2 hours. Somehow I was in full productive mode and I swear I completed tasks that would normally take a week because of how lazy I am normally.3

Boss challenged me to get something done before a demo and he'd give me tomorrow off paid. I completed the task on the time and at the end of the day told him I was leaving for another position. He was totally calm, cool, professional and still gave me tomorrow off paid. I don't know how that happened. Life is good.4 -
I remember seeing Silicon Valley and watching Big Head do nothing at a big company and thought that was never possible.
Working at a FAANG company for 6 years and just completed 3 months of sitting around doing nothing, with 6 more months to come.
Life is indeed stranger than fiction.12 -
Was writing a comment with an unsmiley emoji
IDE auto-completed the open parenthesis.
I was surprised.
:()3 -
Do you want an app completed for tomorrow?
It will be a shit.
Do you want a very good app?
You won't have it tomorrow.
Clients and bosses will never learn it...6 -
I created account for posting this...
Fuck managers. They gave me requirements 2 weeks back. I completed them and showed them today. Now they (piece of shit) say it's not what they needed. If they aren't sure about requirements why the fuck you give requirements... Fuck...
Waiting for new requirements....1 -
just found out that one of my users replies to himself with blank email with a subject "checked" every time he checks his emails... and then he ticks it as "completed"... He has created chains with hundreds of replies long crashing his brand new xps15 every time he clicks on the chain...2

Wrote 500+ lines of code without proper documentation. Got 200 little bugs. Got frustrated. Gave up on code. Started documenting it. Step by step. Resolved many silly mistake while documenting the code. Completed documentation. Run the program . Bugs reduced to 10. I'm sooo happy. I LOVE DOCUMENTATION 😍

Him: Coding is completed. Just have to compile it.
You dumb fuck, go fuck yourself. Don't redefine meaning of complete. Get yourself a dictionary.1 -
And already, I have completed my New Year's resolution! (SPEED RUN!)
I've just published my first completed project!
https://algorythm-dylan.github.io/t...
It allows you to make advanced cross-platform console applications. It's cross-platform curses, basically.
I spent quite a lot of time on the docs, so you can read all about it there. There's still a lot of stuff to do, but the very foundation is there, and it's everything you need(ish). It can just be a little inconvenient at times without helper functions for drawing, or adding strings, and such.
I'm currently binding it to Lua, which is going to be super fun to use!
Happy with this first version5 -
Just completed learning vuejs, and made a pwa app along side , and since IPL2018 is going on, so I though why not create one dashboard show all past IPL Season data. https://github.com/imshubhamsingh/...5

Nothing irks me more than when I sit down with a fellow student and try to help them with a programming assignment that I’ve already completed and after clearly explaining everything to them they just say “Can I take a picture of your code?”. Uhm... no. Fuck you.1
-
When you’re way more experienced and new to a team and are met with “but this is how we’ve done it for ages, and it’s done fine for us” but the sprint performance shows they’ve not completed one in 2 years.5

My confirmed results are in and it's a distinction in MSc Computer Science (Software Engineering)
It was a long & difficult 2 years (part time along side full time work) but I'm feeling very proud of myself at the moment 😃 -
Doesn't it feel just awesome when your project is going on smoothly since the beginning...I've completed around 80 percent and haven't been stuck in anything major yet for more than half a day. It's not much I know but for me it is and right now I feel like the queen of coding ^_^4
-
So, at the start of November last year I completed a big system for a client. It took me months to complete.
Most frustrating was the sheer amount of pressure the client applied to get it completed. Emails every day, phone calls where the client was "checking" on my progress etc etc. All the annoying stuff.
Only plus side was the fact they paid in full a few after is was completed.
I've just released the system is still on a test AWS account and I haven't heard from the client for well over a month now.
I've just logged into the system and took a look at the logs. The client logged in once the day it was completed and hasn't done anything since.
I mean what was the point of all the pressure if they were just going to let the thing gather dust?
I'm pretty annoyed to be honest as I experienced a few fairly borderline stressful months due to that project.
Ah well, the image below was me after looking at the system logs :)2 -
Is it normal for your boss to sell a product when it is only half completed and pick arbitrary deadlines to demo it to potential clients?12
-
Just completed Object oriented JavaScript course and I have to say, the creaters of JS must have smoked some good shit before they the came up with this clusterfuck.13

I got hired to run an A/B test between a competitor landing page and a new page. While I didn’t do the new page initial design, I did advise on and completed its final tweaks. The result was a 430% increase in leads generated over the original.2

Boss: "We need this change implemented tomorrow"
Me: "No problem, it's completed"
Boss: "Wait you didn't follow change protocol you need to allow 5 business days for review and approval"
Me: ....2 -
Boss: Did you get that trivial change I requested completed?
Me: No, I've been busy trying to fix a critical issue with a production app.
Boss: I don't want other people dictating how you spend your time.
Me: ...
Let it all burn down, then, I guess! -
When team members want to discuss an issue for so long that if you spent a quarter of the time working, you would have completed the task.
-
Casual chat with a girl in Facebook.
Me : Hey, What are u doing these days?

Me, 2 months ago: "This stack is such an overhead and unneccesarily complicated. The app could be made in like a week with jsp and jquery."
Other guy, 2 months ago: "No, we use Spring and angular2, and these 7 test/automation tools"
Other guy now: "We are nowhere, we havent even completed sprint1"
Me:3 -
The feeling when you completed all tasks but one in the programming test 😣😩🤪
No, I can't be happy because I could have had 30/302 -
Dear devs/studios,
Stop showing me ads while in the middle of a game or while I'm actively using the app. At least wait till the process is completed.1 -

I sent an applicant to the wrong floor when I bumped into him and was asked how to get there, after just having completed an interview with the company he was heading to.
Also, I told him the HR lady was a little deaf so he needs to really speak up when addressing her.
I really wanted that job.2 -
My company sends out this Culture Assessment survey so employees "voices can be heard".
"Completely confidential."
I keep reading the email:
"Please *do not* forward this email to other individuals. The survey link is unique to your Business Group, project, and certain demographics, and therefore should be completed with only your responses."
....*face palm*2 -
The client said they don't want the old news to be imported to the new website.
After launch the client said that the news has not been imported over to the new website and they won't pay until everything is completed.
So am busy copying and pasting contents and images.
I want to fuck myself!3 -
One manager I had kept asking for pointless redundant data being captured and added to the UI.
For example there was a date completed already.
"You need to add a check box to show that it's completed."
"Can't you just look to see if it has a completed date?"
"No, I want both."
Ended up with an app with over complicated UI and inconsistent reports.
Prick. -
Each sprint lasts for 2 weeks. But I get the basic info to start working on my stories only when 3/4th of the sprint is completed....
So yeah....no one gives shit about estimation at least in my case.6 -
Demo tomorrow. Two devs missing. Six options to be completed. Debugging server crash on another live site.

SQLServer: Okie dokie, Command(s) completed successfully

I was forced to attend a attend a meeting because I was wearing formals and had already completed my work.
They introduced me as a UI guy and thought the client won't have any changes in UI because it is a per there requirements. Apparently they were wrong.1 -
Favorite project, my first tutorial game. It was a basic tic-tac-toe game, but when I first ran that sucker and successfully completed a game I was like, "holy fuck, coding is awesome".

Just got rejected for an internship because of my architecture pattern. Learnt an entirely new framework and deployed an API in a week. Sigh
Edit:
Was at a college level. Not completed my bachelor's yet. -
My cousin needed quick website and I could never turn him down for the kind of relationship I have with him. When I completed the web, he was like "how were you able to finish it over the weekend?". And I said, "it's all magic"3

Person: I need documentation for your program.
Me: Program isn't done yet.
Person: We want it anyways.
Me: Everything I document in dev will be drastically different once it's completed.
Person: Yes, we want documentation of what doesn't work so we can refer to it later for help.3 -
I lost points for not including the following comment:
//Declaring variables
int foo, bar;
I already knew how to code, and I completed the assignment in the fewest number of lines needed while still being well commented explaining my logic. I lost points because I didn't say what everyone understood.4 -
I love to sleep, but once I stayed almost 26 hours making a front-end design as a test to enter to a company in Brasil. And here I am. Worth it.
BTW, I completed the test in 9 hours, I'm just adding more hours as everyone here hahaha. I stayed awake for 26 hours but had a normal day. Does it count? -
Clients be like: what you've only completed the login system in one hour I thought you where a programmer.4

All my tasks was development, last week our boss gave me a testing task, and I completed it.
He said that the developers will hate me if I keep reporting every expected/unexpected, small/big, normal/critical bugs , so that he sent me back to the development team.
I just wondering if I misunderstand the word "testing"!!?1 -

Today I completed the prototype and all works well. What a feeling :)5 -
well fuck me, just spent the whole weekend (about 33 hrs) not being able to solve a task from uni with a java program we had to write🙄😪
the problem was a given set of movies with a weekday, the begin time, the duration, the title, and a "score"
the movies take place in one week (random days, random amount of movies) and every movie can be shown multiple times
our task was to find a sequence of non-overlapping (all unique) movies with a score of at least a given number
all in text form
i tried dynamic programming but the more i tried, the more it got complicated, so i ended up using "earliest finishing time first"
my code is just 3 points under the goal and i don't know what to change anymore😒, also some friends did the exact same and succeeded somehow
copying (and obfuscating) won't work, as the codes will be compared by a very good "copy checker"
let's hope i'll still have a chance for an exam😐2 -
Well, my country has a Degree called Bsc.CSIT which literally means Bachelors of Science Computer Science and Information Technology. I completed that degree and was employed right after I completed my degree. I have worked in two offices and no one cares what degree I have.
So I think Degree is not that necessary here in Nepal as long as you can get the job done.
Now I am about to pursue a Big Data related degree hope that is not as worthless as my current degree.1 -
Gotta love recruiters... Got contacted for a position a couple days back through LinkedIn, talked a bit back and forth, and set up a call for today.
I get up early for the call, prepare and then I get the call.
Caller: "So have you graduated yet?"
... Fucking look at my LinkedIn, can a degree be completed in a year? Yeah, thought so...2 -
My lead always steal my work and showcase it has his work to the manager. I always look for a chance to trap him in front of Manager.
One fine day, He gave me an work which has to completed on Monday, I sit over the weekend and finished it’s but partially committed it.
He is a blind thief, As always he says that he himself completed over the weekend.
While running in front of the manager they face huge issues because it’s a half cooked product. Manager purposely sent an email to our team without mentioning the name of my lead.
After few days my lead silently put paper and left the team.3 -
Joined this company today. Arrived early. Formalities completed. Now I'm sitting at my chair doing nothing. Pretty boring.14

Seriously, why is Java/Maven/Spring so temperamental. It's like it has to be in a good mood to compile for me.4 -
Nothing is more satisfying and unsatisfying at the same time than completing a personal project that has been giving you something to do for several months.
First time poster, long time lurker here.1 -
Finally closed an Epic that was started on April of 2019 to migrated everyone off the old Jenkins server. Finally completed, nearly a year later and under a different project manager and director.3

Swift 1 and 2 were really pain in the ass!! You had to write God damn completed word of each statement. Eg : "presentViewController" is now "present" in Swift 3. Or that fucking "NS" in every object :)))
Thanks God! Thanks Apple! No more bull shit keyword!2 -
*Log in to work*
*Get a ticket to work on*
"Oh this seems like a simple fix. This should be done in a couple hours."
*Move the ticket to Completed status*
"Oh would you look at that. It's 9 PM and now I have to make dinner".

That moment when you're very happy you just completed a hard Haskell kata in CodeWars, with 8 lines, three functions, a lot of functional concepts (which would take at least 30 lines in Java or C#) and they show you the top voted solution by another user with JUST TWO LINES and a lot of function composition.2

"Well... What's the worst that could happen."9 -
Got an assignment last year to use a buffer overflow to "hack" a series of problems within some kind of assembly code. There were 2 required problems, but 6 in total. I completed all 7 (one hidden bonus problem).
The teacher that gave that assignment ended up writing me a letter of recommendation for my masters program -
Anyone else feel guilty at work when you're between projects or waiting for a request to be completed?
I usually teach myself something new in that time, but I feel guilty.5 -
So I was doing some hackerrank challenges when I completed a challenge that kept me thinking for a lot.

Finish a personal project.
Any personal project. I'm not picky. The last time I completed a project that wasn't for my job was like five (well, now six) years ago. -
I called it TextPaste, or was it VidPaste 🤔. Anyways, it was an attempt to promote my laziness in copying code from YouTube videos or images by using text recognition. I called my coding style "Lazy Art," 😂. It was completed....sorta. I mean, it worked sometimes....5

The annual end of year meeting that takes a 3 day offsite so we can list 21 new enterprise projects to be completed the upcoming year - hehe 😅

"Working as designed" : slang. The acceptance criteria were too hard, so we only completed half of them.
synonym: "not a bug" -
when you work on a bug about fixing mistakes made on a story completed by somebody else
you then get approached with having to do petty unrelated UX stuff in the neighbouring area and the administrative nonsense with it

When you've just completed the code and the boss asks you to add more features. Like I'm trying to finish the project first here.... >,>2
-
Completed 1 year of experience in web designing and development today...
I haven't even passed out yet. I am still in 4th year computer engineering....
Hands on experience teaches me more than college lectures.... -
I've just started writing tech blog posts this weekend. Two posts baked by today, another one should be completed by tomorow eod :)
oh man... Apparently I like blogging :)4 -
It has been 2 days since I completed a project and I still don't feel like working. I wake up, waste the whole time and repeat. Ugghhh its frustrating!!!1
-
Got an invite for Google foobar challenge.
Successful completed 2 challenges.
It is so much fun to work on complex problem especially with a time bomb attached to it. -
So the client ask for a new super urgent request and want to see it completed in 10 minutes.
Not that I can't do it, I just need 2-3 minutes to do it, but because of their rudeness, I left the job for my little cute interns who work at my company.
Takes her more than hours to complete.
Sorry client. LOL1 -
Leaving work with a task only partly completed just guarantees my mind is going to obsess about it all night and my dreams will be plagued with lines of code.1
-
That moment you realize you just completed a task for a client because they asked for it but you didn't first check to see if the request was part of the original spec and estimate and so you don't really get to be paid for it.
-
So I work in a startup as an intern. My tasks are usually done before deadlines. These folks pay me at my due date after reviewing my work. This month again I have completed my task, so I asked for new work. These people are waiting for my pay day. Just a few days before my pay day they will surely give me a task and question me why I haven't completed it on time. Fucking annoying...3

Just completed Monkey Island 1 and 2 again, 30+ years after I last played them.

2. I am getting old.......
3. Can't wait for Monkey Island 3 (the real third)4 -
A friend of mine has been searching for a job for 3 months, he finally got one, signed a contract and started 2 weeks ago. Now he got an offer from a company he applied to, completed an interview and was abandoned and they want to pay 3x more than the present job. This is bad luck. Bad, bad luck3

Today our customer tried to change the log dir of Kafka. Too bad he did not change the intended log4j.log, instead he changed the log.dir where kafka writes his data.
He basically tried to change the tires at 180km/h at the Autobahn. Only god knows how he managed to get the tires off. After that he slided a kilometer on his rims and wondered why the car wouldn't drive anymore.
Consumers fucked, Topics fucked and Producers fucked -

Finally completed the stupid boring never-ending android project and sent it to client. Phew! Now I can work on the other iOS app which I like. Yum.4
-
I'm starting to realize that maybe the issue with my team is that they don't know how to break down complex problems into smaller parts that can be completed, tested one by one, allowing you to create save points.
To them it's either all or nothing... And once they're done, they cannot explain what they did other than it works..2 -
Have no work in office!
Most of my teams work is either completed or waiting to get approved.
Gives me a lot of free time at work.
What to do?2 -
I am excited about Websocket getting more popular. I just completed a project using it. It is so good for sending market data to the front.
-
My manager is making my team fill the tasks' "completed work" field in TFS with the exact same amount of hours we were inside the company. This seems unrealistic and doesn't take in account our daily capacity of 6h. What do you guys think of this? What should I tell her to convince her otherwise? Please, help me!2
-
Boss was advised a collar and belt by doctor when he complained of back pains. He's 18 years in this software industry.
I completed 10, occasional aches and pains, time to start yoga lessons.2 -
Completed units where the faculty chooses to specifically code in python.
Gets MIPS assembly code thrown at us for 3 weeks only.
Goes back to Python...
Next Unit jumps to Linux, spends 8 weeks on Linux, gives all the students a 10 page assignment in Javacc worth 20% , linked to a 46 page doc they must read and learn on their own... -
"Last sprint was three weeks long and you guys completed it successfully. Building on that success let's double the points and half the available time!"1
-
Oh, hello dear PO. You suddenly wanted a change to be done after being silent for months?
Silly, silly you. I'm not some kind of rack you drag out of the closet whenever it suits you.
I am now assigned to another project. Your project can't be completed for months, and it ain't my fault. -
Books, mostly. Never completed even one though. Started with VB6 a long time ago. Just wanted to create cool stuff. Then moved onto Java. Heck, even did J2ME. **shudders with horror** Now doing Android and Python mostly.
-
Any idea where to start as a beginner programmer as I just completed my first year in CSE and still have no clue what and where and when to do. I just know C that's all9
-
Rushing to get a feature completed for a client presentation tomorrow has turned my Sass sheets into a nightmarish hellhole of classes, nesting, and questionable specificity. This is taking a huge liberty with "if it works, ship it."
-
I logged in a Remote Server, where Bi-Directional was disabled.Didn't allowed copy-paste and needed to upload a new Web app release.
Hack: just inserted usb flash drive in my computer and remote server recognised that as external.
Deployment completed!4 -
One of my python students just uses his index fingers to type. And he moves his hands from elbows for each key. He said he completed his post graduation. I don't know how he survived these many years. I advised him to learn touch typing though.
-
Today i fucked up trying to generate stats from sales and forgetting to check if sale state was completed or cleared.
Causing sales and revenue on the report l to be inflated by sales that’s failed 3DS checks, bails, bank rejects and other failure states.
Go on have a cheap laugh at my silly incompetence 😂 -
Hi, first post here, I'm wondering, does anyone actually use uml diagrams? I completed a course in first year, apparently "system analysis and design" means draw uml diagrams all class, then draw more later, without ever actually touching a text editor.3
-
Why do management want features from a version, which has not yet completed and delivered in an hour. New lowere\sub version and take element from future version. Hope it works. Happy1
-
I started my coding journey with JAVA ! I l grasped the basic concepts like LOOPS TYPECASTING ARRAYS etc. pretty well but failed to cope up with stacks , queues . So I switched to python and completed the Python Bootcamp from Udemy and now I am pretty confident in python . So should I try to learn Java again ?2
-
My favourite task for when I had to kill some hours in between things is almost completed and I really liked it. I hate the fact that I have to do more boring or annoying tasks in thr future when having a few hours.

Oh, come on! Human Resource Machine, Three Sort, a single cycle away from the optimization challenge! What more do you want from me?
Also, I have already gotten the challenge completed for only using 34 commands. I'm increasing the number of commands greatly for the cycle challenge in order to avoid swapping.1 -
"Take this test," they said.
I did, and scored 81/100. Not great, but not bad.
"Not bad," they said. "But you took too much time and didn't show us experience in JavaScript."
I completed all tasks in the allotted time and did them all in JavaScript. What else am I supposed to do for you people?1 -
Currently VSCode just because I am not that into Vim and it supports most languages I have to deal with very well (ReasonML/OCaml, TS, JS).
But when OniVim2 will be completed, that will probably it. I pre-purchased it and the instant startup time while still supporting vscode extensions are already promising.

Recently I had a task from my university to build some DB with forms using MS Access.
Despite of me constantly thinking that I wold accomplish this using Python+SQLite+Some GUI much faster, I've completed.
And I've got only one question left: why the hell proprietary product with giant company behind has such a terrible UX?
It' really painful to use. -
An existing project I've been working on for a about a year now.
It's a music/radio service with a customizable UI, and integrates many other services into one place. I have a good portion of it completed, just don't have the time to really buckle down and complete the rest. -
I just ended up making a program that shows news depending on the user's current emotions.
I implemented OpenCV and CK+ dataset to make this possible. Also, Feedparser for getting news. Now looking into PyQt for making all of this into a GUI app.
So happy that all of this was completed within a week and without much hitches. -

Recruiters message me on LinkedIn for team lead/senior developer role. I haven't completed 2 years in my first company which is obviously visible on my LinkedIn profile.

Hi! Have anyone completed this course
https://udemy.com/spring-boot-intro... ?? I'd be grateful if it is worth my time and money :D1 -

I'd like something along those lines
Cheers!4 -
Not having ever completed a project, except for a really simple app my school asked me to do. It's like I start to make something, anything, but then I lose interest in it pretty quickly. I guess it's because I can't come up with an idea of something that I think would be really useful/fun.
-
Today before leaving, the QA said she found problems in 3 issues I've been working on, until now everything was ok. Tomorrow is the closing of the Sprint but I can't present this progress because it's not completed...
I know the QA is doing her job but why now?
Hopefully I'll fix it tomorrow before the meeting1 -
When you make some changes on the server and you warn that there will be annoyances while the changes are being completed, there is always someone who sends you an email with the title in capital letters asking for urgent help because something is wrong.4
-
Absolutely hate it when managers give an estimate for an hour tasks to be completed in 7 days.. why can't they just accept they are shit and ask for the effort estimation from the concerned dev.. all the AGILity goes in an awry..2

Hello, fellow developers, i am having a question in mind that confusing me about my career choices.
At first i joined a company as a full stack developer with 6 months experience in MERN, MySql etc.
Now i have completed nearly 1 year in this company but they are always assigning me to full DevOps CI/ CD projects. And i agree i am learning a lot of new things and completed the given works too.
BUT , the question is , should i completely shift as devops engineer or software developer? What might be a better career in long term?
Ps: in CI/CD i did almost all works in Typescript using CDK and sometimes a little bit in python (not good in python but learning)10 -
What would you choose between 'clean code but just completed half of the tasks' or 'messy code but completed all of the tasks' ?5

I've a question for my fellow developers here.
I've been thinking about pursuing a full stack developer course (a nanodegree) from Udacity. Are there any chances that I would score a good paying job after the course is completed.
Note: I have been working as a Java Developer since 2.5 years near Mumbai, India1 -
After getting contacted late about a change to a service for another team's deployment, giving me 2 weeks to complete, completed and the department meeting after the team thanked a lot of ppl but didn't even mention me or my team. I literally went to the hospital the night it was deployed to production.
-
This is related to career.
So I completed 3 years in IT this August. I am in this company for 6 months at a junior level. Should I switch company after 6 months and get a senior level position or wait here to get promoted which they say take around 1.5 years on average?10 -
So many occasions to choose from! Probably the most pissed I've been is when I'd been assigned to work on (and completed fixes for) the same bug as another developer twice in the same week after already having spent 4 days working on a new enhancement that's requirements changed literally an hour after I'd saved the code!
-
When you create a list of tasks with a specified timeline for the same.
But here comes the bugs , the unseen issues that need to be solved . And would take more time than task itself.
Makes me frustrated as solving is easier than explaining why it could not be completed in specific timeline to the management. ☹️
Just the startup things.2 -
My first freelance work was completed by yesterday, today I have to submit for free to our front tenant. I really don't think, he will pay me and also noways of asking3

Does anybody know how to make the story points from sub-tasks in Jira count towards reports when they're completed?
This graph is completely meaningless.1 -

I've recently completed the 1st phase development of a node js based web framework. Though I haven't completed the performance comparison check against other frameworks. But I believe it must be the fastest option. Your feedback will be helpful for further development.
