I fucking love my parents.
Came to visit them again and told them that I might buy an iPhone in the future (I fucking hate apple/i-devices and they know that).
Mom: "You are going to WHAT? Are you okay, son?"
Dad: *walks towards me and puts hand on forehead* "Hmmm, doesn't seem to be that warm. Maybe we should visit a psychiatrist soon."
Me: 😂. mom, dad, I fucking love you.52 -
Started working in a company as an intern, they want me to do everything whether I know how to or not.12

Never let your computer know that you are in hurry. Computers can smell fear. They slow down if they know that you are running out of time.8
-
2 of my co-workers don't know that they shouldn't write any code after return statement of a function18

Omg...
T-Mobile AT was asked, why they store passwords in plain text, and in a long discussion, they answered this (see img)
I don't know, if this is a late april fool...25 -
You know what I hate? When people don't listen to me.
You know what I love? When shit blows up in their faces because they didn't listen to me8 -

Drug dealer : yo, you code right?
Me: yeah, why
Drug dealer: can you hack into the police station.. You know, see if they are checking me out.. If they know I'm dealing.. I'll just move
(I've never hacked but I know i could learn if I have to)
Me:... That's actually brilliant
I love in a small town at the moment.. I bet the police security is a joke
Kinda high risk though20 -
They know exactly what I do, both my parents and my sister.
Then again, they use Linux as main system although they're very a-technical ;)11 -

What my Clients don't know:
I turn my 2nd 27inch screen in portrait orientation before they come in. And turn it back when they leave.
Somehow it impresses them.2 -
Don't know what is worst: that they offer to teach Visual Basic on 2018, or that they "invented" Visual Java.
Seriously?16 -
An extremely important fact, on which your life depends. Would like to know how they calculated it.19

When people want to know what you're doing and you know they wouldn't understand so you're just like 'Nothing...'4

Fuck the incompetent and "pretentious psuedo devs" !!
I have been developing a web portal for a student club for this really big company (as intern) and then they assign this fuckin group of these 4 stupid intern devs to work with me !
The fuckin tweked my code and redirected the CONTACT FORM to the fuckin LOGIN CONTROLLER !!
Then these sons of Einstein inserted dummy users without a username and password into the fuckin production site !!
Now each fukin time someone submits contact form is redirected into some random user account !!
Who the fuck needs Hackers when we have these legendary coders -_-11 -
Was recently phone interviewed by a recruiter that asked "So do you know data structures and algorithms?" I replied "That's like asking someone if they know Mathematics - can you be a bit more specific?"7
-
"They used coding AND algorithms"
Wow I didn't know that you can use those together!

I honestly do not understand why clients, with no understand of development at all, think they know more than the developer.
I do not understand why these people think they know what can and cannot be done within a given timeline.
If it's so damn easy, why aren't you making the damn website/app yourself????

Stakeholder: I need to know if these changes are possible.
Me: they should be. I’ll speak with the team.
Stakeholder: ok good because they just finished filming the TV ad for it.
.......
Why even ask?4 -
Why is it that people that can't program always seem to think they know how long it should take you?5
-
When Google recruits, I guess they don't need to ask you anything, since they are already tracking your every move.13

Our front-end team is pissed at me because they found a feature I pushed last month and claimed they didn't know it existed and how can they help clients if they don't know what's going on with the platform and - I pointed them to the Pivotal story of the feature that they were included in as well as the full changelog announcement I made to the entire team the day I pushed it.
Knowledge is power, especially when it's in writing with a timestamp.5 -
I don't know how anyone could write complex programs with C (though they apparently used to and still many do)11

Sitting in an "Advanced Python" course (paid by my employer), I kicked something under my desk. I hope those guys know Python better than they know electrical security measures...6

What's worse than a written test? A written test for web programming! Seriously, how do they expect us to write CSS for a full fledged page when even they know that it's just wololo magix4
-
God knows how many morons try to brag to me on how they know hardware programming because they own an Arduino, whenever I say I study Electrical Engineering.4

Do you just walk in the city and tell yourself, "fck these humans. they don't know sht."? I know that's wrong but still...4

Hate it when people call themselves a Web Backend developer and all they know is POST and GET method.😡4

Client stated at the beginning of the project that they wanted a modern, pretty website that essentially had everything on one page.
Okay no problem, design is done and approved, weeks ago.
Today they come in after having the site for THREE WEEKS to review and do they come back with feedback on the functionality of the site? Oh no all they want to know is 'how will the user know that they need to scroll down to see more of the site?'...2 -

Different perspective.
So your friend wants you to make the next big Facebook or Google because they know you can code....lots of rants like that and it gets me as well when I'm fixing printers for family and friends. Thing is these people genuinely just want to do something cool and succeed so they can have a good life. They see what we can do and wish they had the same talent. They have an idea they think will be great, they don't know what we know, and they don't know that it could be the most amazing thing ever and still never take off.
They don't realize to be Facebook or Google you have to sell out your values, morals, and soul. They just think if we can code we should be millionaires. So on that philosophy after just over a year the devRant creators should be rolling in cash right? But pretty sure I saw they are still operating at a loss.
I'd love to be able to have the time to work with each of them, teach them, and guide them through that first failure and let down of realizing that coding doesn't buy a magic ticket to a new life.
// Like anyone ever really fixes a printer //2 -
I'm pretty damn tired of script kiddies talking about Java being slow like they know shit.

did you know that facebooks servers are so minimalistics?? just a motherboard, harddrives and a psu, its amazing how they manage to design it. btw they got thousands of them or more.9

Why are some seniors just so full of themselves? I mean... Yeah I know that they know more than me (junior) but common, you don't have to rub it in my face! Tho I'd rather have it that they rub it in my face than them explain it with the most difficult terms / hardest words they could find in the dictionary!!
I also don't need them to complain that I'm on a different platform than them (while they help me)4 -
I finally came to that conclusion:
Customers doesn’t really know what they are buying.
IT company doesn’t really know what they are selling.2 -
That feeling when they don't understand something, yet you know that no matter how much you explain about it they still wouldn't understand...
My heart can only take so much torture...5 -
No man's sky: I can imagine the devs fighting management and marketing letting them know that what they were selling was bullshit and they be like 0 fucks given.2

When all of your friends know you're a web programmer, and for some reason assume this also means you know how to fix the viruses they have on an old Windows XP computer. Like, seriously wut? 🙄1

Biggest pet peeve is when someone develops a shitty project using XYZ technology/language and a tutorial and they somehow think they know XYZ and all of it's intricacies and are an expert dev in XYZ. 😐😐😐. No you fucking know how to follow a tutorial and you have a small understanding of XYZ. End rant.

Project managers suck, they don't know anything about programming and development, at least they should know the basics, it's the worst and most stupid job, and the worst thing is that they make more money than a developer.2
-
I don't like others to know that i'm a programmer. Do you agree or why shall they know? It just changes their opinion on you.4

They tell you to be creative and share your thoughts but when you do, they say that you speak very much and you should not go out of the league.
You know what?
FuckOffToHell! -
Is it a bad idea to learn about cracking from the dark web? I mean they seem like they know their shit with security5

You know what's awkward? Saying "hello" in response to someone who's actually just on the phone.
You know what's worse?
Seeing the phone in their hand, and knowing they are on the phone, but they turn their head to you, make direct eye contact, and THEN say "hey".
What are you supposed to do? It's awkward either way.4 -
First day as an intern: when I was introduced to everyone, some say they don't even want to know me and stay the fuck away because they don't care.5

You know what really grinds my gears?
Executive bathrooms. They get gold and marble and all kinds of fancy shit and the rest of us get a linoleum shit box. Who do they think they are? Are they too good to shit and piss with their developers. You know...the people who make the shit that makes them money?
Executives are just overpaid suits who do next to nothing while the rest of us carry their fat asses across the finish line and they are too good to take a shit with us common folk.12 -
Know how they say programmers don't quit jobs, they quit managers?
Imagine having 3 managers that all want 3 different things and none of them know what the fuck they're talking about.1 -
There are these type of costumers who think they better know how much time it takes to do something then me. They think because they can do a little SQL and VBA, they know what it takes to work on an E-Commerce Plattform. What’s wrong with this shitheads? How about some respect?
They tried to compare the integration of an Instagram wall with integrating automated product variations. They then proposed some plugins that i should use. Surprise the plugins are completely useless for the usecase.
I just want to hit them with their dumbness. In the face. Very hard.1 -
Some people, when confronted with a problem, think, 'I know, I'll use threads' - and then two they hav erpoblesms.

I can't believe it, people are still using dreamweaver, and they doing so because they actually don't know that there are better options. How are you a web dev and using dreamweaver out of ignorance...4

I think it is so sad you can't use your devRant icon on other sites. I know you could download them but the whole point is anonymous ranting so if someone know your picture they know who you are. I love the devRant icons <33

A senior dev I’ve interacted with only on Twitter, whom I looked up to, who has blog, newsletter, buzzword tweets and all that jingles.
Met them IRL today.

They talk about all the things they know about, on the internet. But, shocked to see how many simple things they didn’t know.3 -
Why people diss php when they don't know about php7 and awesomeness like laravel..

My Programming Ambition.
To empower aspiring programming entrepreneurs with the idea that they can use their highly coveted skills to achieve whatever ambitions they have. To show them why they don't have to settle for the industry standard right now, which is low pay, poor conditions, hyper competition and lack of appreciation. To help them understand that with what they know, they can literally create any career that they want.17 -
That one kid who knows absolutely everything there is to know about computers... As long as they run Windows.2

People saying they have imposter syndrome to describe the accurate feeling that they don't know what they're doing at their job.3

Some people think that web development is easy because they use framework for responsive designs, they dont know the struggle of manually using media query in css.

Discussing a web design with a customer who says that they know that what they want is possible because "They have coded a few sites themselves."2

Yes, they given all of us plastic chairs for sitting 36 hr instead of been bag. Wow you can imagine the condition of our back. They also don't know the password which they created for guest...

Someone may love water if all they know is a pool, or they may hate water if all they know is an ocean.
— a thought on why some take to programming more than others -
So it turns out when you tell normal people that your a software developer, they don't know what that is which explains why they don't ask you to fix anything hardware related2
-
Finally got rid of my old job I ranted about so much. Started a new one on Monday. A bit anxious and terrified (there is a lot to learn) but it feels good. The team is fun and they know what they are doing. BUT most importantly: they know how to plan projects and know how to intervene if a project is about to run out of resources. NICE.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes3 -
I just saw this on a website. Good to know that they use some kind of jQuery draggable plugin for encryption.2
-
Someone you know hears that you're good with computers. Asks to help with their Windows issue. Proceeds to tell you they don't know how you're employed since you don't know anything about Windows.1

Everyone talks about quality, but they don't know what it means/ don't want to invest the time to do things right.2

PM here. I'm having an interview with prospective junior devs next week. I want to make sure that they know a little and can learn a lot. Do you guys have any suggestions of how to ascertain that? I'm thinking simple programming exercises or something.
Again, it's not that important what they know today.14 -
I got no words to explain their lack of knowledge about how the world as they know it was developed.2

Does somebody know how Android OS tries to determine the internet availability? Do they ping their own servers?5

They celebrated the first successful cryogenic freezing. She had no way of letting them know she was still conscious.7

Interns have degree's in 'Computer Science'.
I do not, Just a microsoft crash course on C# and SQL.
They are 3 - 4 years older than i am, yet they don't know how to use CSS.
I wonder what they learnt in that 4 years?17 -
When you're arguing with a non-programmer, make sure they know that you're the one saving their passwords.

I just became an android dev last week, yay for me. Though, I really hate how I inherited more than 50k lines of spaghetti!
They ask me to fix this and that, but that's okay for me, I can manage this.
The worst thing is we don't use any kind of version control system. And I'm always tasked to merge my work with other 2 android dev working on same spaghetti.1 -
You know it's an awesome interview when they show you their robot at the end. It's also serves drinks!1

You know how we mock recruiters for not knowing anything...
I wonder if they have an app where they mock developers ... Probably not they'd need one of us to build it.1 -

Bah! I am sure computers know when you are in a rush. Without fail my computer will run as fast as a snail riding backwards on a turtle every time I am in a rush!3

Today I was told that full stack is another name for a shit developer who wont be able to develop anything good because they aren't focused on one skill.
But it was by a person who claims to like OOP but doesn't know the 4 principles, SOLID, GoF, or DDD. So I take it with salt. But he claims his entire company follows this philosophy.
I think that some developers just decide that they're hot shit and refuse to talk about any other skills they don't know about since they must not be needed if they don't know them. Code is code.9 -
Why do so many instructors/tutorials/books leave the comma out of “Hello, world?” It bugs the shit out of me. I know they know better...10

Assume other people know what they are doing. Since I don't know what I'm doing, why would they know what they are doing?

!rant I need a TL:DR for custom ROMS, I already know what they are, what they do, I need to know how useful they are and where I can start!
Thanks!8 -
In my experience, any BE dev or old architect/lead programmer that says they “can do frontend” does shit like writing Ajax calls in script tags directly in the html. They are the ones who add style attributes directly in html. They are the ones who google how to center a div and they still use float positioning because all of them are old, arrogant BE devs who get caught in a single framework who convince themselves they are an expert. They can’t give any good UX advice. They don’t know how to use a screen reader. They don’t know what WCAG means. They don’t constantly keep up to date on what browsers are supporting and what’s being released in the unstable versions. They don’t know what a web component is. They don’t know what a closure is. They don’t know anything about optimizing web perf metrics. They couldn’t tell you what web crawlers look for. They couldn’t tell you anything about design principles and anti-patterns. They don’t know how to manage a web application that will be seen by millions AND keep it nice, shiny, and refactorable on the code side. What do they really fucking know? how to write an MVC app? How to connect APIs and integrate code that other people wrote? I do full stack all day and writing anything not-client-facing is super easy.
Take that stick out of your ass and get over yourself you asshole. You haven’t written anything close to amazing even though you constantly act like you’re a god-tier programmer and your shit doesn’t stink.
Hit the books like the rest of us you fuck.
The Frontend is anything but fucking easy.25 -
My mistake for using edge. Uggggggg I hate microsoft. My parents don't know how to use word. How could they know how to set up parental controls.
Fuck Mega$hit.9 -
"I know HTML5 and CSS3"
Is it anyone else's experience that when people claim to know HTML[5] and CSS[3] they usually know neither HTML nor CSS well enough to be of any use?

What data types do they use down in the sewers Pennywise.
They're all floats Georgie...they're allllllllll floats.
Do you know what my favorite data structure is Georgie? Stacks. You know why? Because they Pop! Pop! Pop!1 -
I was on Instagram and I saw a boy advertising to sell 5k followers and I was wondering, how do they do that? Can they programmically create and control those accounts? I know they can use the Instagram API to some degree but I feel like Instagram probably has security set up to detect that type of stuff (5k accounts following someone at the same time, etc). Does anybody know? I’m actually really curious6

"Users will tell you what they think they want.

Sometimes I like to see how the other side live and just watch people in a computer store.
There are the nervous tip-toers who don't want to attract attention. The point and lookers, who read the sign and nod and show they understood.
There are the ones who just wander aimlessly trying to look like they know what they want.
Finally there are the 'expert helpers' who know enough 'techie' words to convince anyone around that they know what they're talking about.
It's like a people zoo.1 -
Don't blame the teachers, they don't know the latest technologies themselves, they are mostly graduates, who have almost no work exp, so they might not know latest technologies or how to use em, neither do universities fund them to learn them
P.S. Not a teacher, just put yourself in their shoes2 -
What’s your opinions on AWS, Azure, and whatever googles version is called. I’m curious and I’m asking because I don’t really know a lot of details. I just know they host stuff and make some stuff easier.26

I know I'm going to get the blame 🙄...
They transferred a domain didn't tell me they were doing it then now they are with 123reg ... shit web hosting
On top of that the dns wasn't transferred over so currently the old site is dead 🙄1 -
!rant.. When the client makes you do something stupid, and you try to tell them, but they still want it, so you give it to them, and weeks later, they come back asking you to revert it.... ugh!!
I wanna comment on the jira "I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so!!!" so bad..6 -
On interview: do you know SVG?
intern: yes
It turns out that they meant that they know how to select "SVG" as the export format.
Thank god that intern went into the design department and not coding.5 -
I don't talk about Dev stuff with my friends/family. I try keep keep it to myself. They either get really angry, confused or they try to talk about things they know nothing about.1

According to devRant there are a lot of bad developers. How did they get hired and did they like and know what they were doing?(i also wonder how many devs think programming is shit just because they never properly align and arrange the code?)3

Ever look at someone’s PR in your project repo, remember that you dislike that person because they think they know it all, give it a few seconds, and say fuck it and completely ignore the fact that they submitted that PR?

a nice feeling being complimented for the effort and frontend. but it is still a pity i am the only one appreciating my tidy, efficient and scalable backend too.1

What to do when you think your boss sucks at a language they're developing in, but everyone assumes they are awesome because they don't know that language, and you're stuck as the junior fixing their code?
-
Most of the people here are SoOoO insecure and self conscious about their programming abilities they have to complain about other languages they don’t know anything about.5

Some of the software companies haunt their former employees to maintain the projects they worked on before leaving them, even if these companies know they have a full-time new job.4

my office setup is finished, and i have my first client. they ask about how much they must pay for their software. i don't know anything about making a price tag. anyone know how? from marketing maybe ?7

The PM decides to know everything, until I ask them something. „oh this is too technical for me, go somewhere else for the answer“.
Excuse me? You know what they need but do you know why they need JUST LIKE THAT??!? Every project starts to feel like a fucking scam3 -
Client sends a message that the mobile app is crashing and displaying a message that is nowhere to be found in code.
neither frontend, nor backend.
Do they even know which app they are using?!1 -
Getting an interview tomorrow with a pair programming test. I've never done pair programming (they know it), any tip?4

When people tell me they're computer illiterate, they either know their exact Windows version to the Service Pack and can utilize the task manager effectively or they don't know that their computer desktop is different from their browser homepage. There is no in-between.
-
I find it interesting that most of the devRant profiles I look at only put the languages they know in the skills section, not the things they do with those languages.
Why is that?5 -
Don't let your computer know that you are in a hurry,They can smell fear and they will slow down if they know that you are running out of time
-
Oh joy,
I got the short straw and get the privilege of building our new website.
I really don't know PHP very well, but apparently everyone else says they know it less.
Yea! Holiday weekend. NOT!!!! :(4 -
At least pretend to have a reason for using checkboxes where the behaviour is obviously a single choice. I know I'm sometimes full of crap. I know I can waste so much time arguing for something I'm wrong about. At least I have arguments to support my approach, and I don't dismiss my mistakes. I don't need you to spend the next 5 minutes changing checkboxes for radio buttons in the mockup, it took dev 5 seconds to replace "checkbox" with "radio" and move on. However, I do need you to know what you're doing, even if it turns to be wrong.
I know this world celebrates people who can do things perfectly: models with perfect bodies, singers with perfect voices, sportsmen with perfect scores, students with perfect grades. I understand that's why you wish to try again so you can do it perfectly.
That's not what the world needs. The world needs people who know why they did what they did. It's drunk drivers who break down in the court, not serial killers. Serial killers know what they did, they know why they did it, and they believe it was the right thing to do; drunk drivers on the other hand had no idea what they did or why they did it, and they try to dismiss their wrongdoings by blaming them on alcohol, not getting a taxi, parking fees, the car, or some other circumstances.
So confront your bullshit for once. Stop searching for excuses to dismiss challenging ideas and prove you can defend your position. Otherwise, don't get angry when your "impeccable" ideas lose to someone who at least tries to defend their nonsense.3 -
So I was checking out Scaleway home page, and they said: Gitlab use their infrastructure?
Is it pure lie or gitlab really host something there? And why would they do that if they use Google?
I don't know what to trust these days lol23 -
Have you ever envied someone that they know more technologies than you? (e.g they know a couple of frameworks that you don't have any idea about)
If you do, what is your response in this situation and why?4 -
So I’ve asked my Unis infrastructure guys via mail, why we don’t use the digital id with our phone additional to our RFID Badge.
One of those (maybe a moron, I don’t judge yet, see question below) replies, that they would need to replace all readers “as current ones rely on RFID scanning chips” and they are not sure how US Unis implemented it.
Thing is, that when I hold my iPhone SE 2020 next to the reader, my phone shows my credit card to use for Apple Pay.
Doesn’t that mean, that they use compatible RFID frequencies ?
I’m not an iOS dev, so maybe someone can help me out. Any info appreciated!11 -
Unfortunately I am working in a firm where they consider QAs as some second class citizens. Also the QAs we have right now are purely blackbox testers who doesn't know shit about the system.
In my opinion a QA should know about the system and integration. They should also have decent programming skills.
What are your thoughts?2 -
Working with a manager who thinks they know how development works but doesn't actually know is the worst. At times your better off fixing the issue versus explaining it to them. Fix it then explain it.2
-
Excellent documentation of other people's inputs so I know where they are coming from to minimize surprises and miscommunications.

Applied to a new place that seems cool. Feedback: I am overqualified for what they need and they know I would get bored and leave.
Ok, so let's stay bored in the current one... fml. -
I fucking hate when people that give you marks are not qualified enough.
Actually, in school, it's two weeks where we conceptualize projects (we don't code them, just have concepts) and we're noted on them.
But there's a partial jury, that has partial opinions, the different juries doesn't share the same opinion and are biased.
I don't know, it's like if because they are programming teachers or communication teacher, they were able to know what will work in the future and what won't. Even in domain they don't know. -
Solved django recruitment tests. Rejected because they seek someone who know django and I said I don’t know django cause I was using raw python, sql and writing async apps.
What I can say ? Thanks, lol3 -
Parents were supportive in that they forced me to go to college, but let me do whatever I wanted while there.
Pretty sure they still don't really know what I do.1 -
That feeling when you know your project manager is going to ask for something that they said wouldn't be a thing...2

I'm helping my teammates with the problems that they face in debugging an issue or fixing a Dev environment.
Sometimes ppl go too flexible and ask for my Dev VM. The help I have to offer is tell them cause of an issue and tell them the fix that they have to give. What the fu*k they do? What did they gain as experience all these years.
Ppl don't know how to make draft commits. They can't fix but failures. They don't know anything.
They just sit at office and age as it is their only job.
Seniors take so much salary. Why don't they feel bad that they are not doing justice to their work. -
Just checked IG and it's on dark theme.
It's not a bad thing but they should at least ask me about it.
Or did they just know that I'll preferred dark theme over light theme?3 -

My family has been very supportive, but mostly ignorant about my journey to software development, and tolerant of all of my fuck-ups along the way.
Yet they don't dare to even think to know what I am doing, because every time they asked me, no matter how well I explained, they never got any of the intricate parts of software development.
They know I make software. They know about the usual stress that comes from organizing projects, planning, maintaining infrastructure, but to them, it's as if I build buildings or I'm like a single-man conveyor that creates cars. It makes sense, and they will never understand how I do it, and they don't care. -
So some of the C++ guys I deal with have this thing in their mind that they know all the other languages cause they're similar right, and they argue that it doesn't work vice versa. You know Java, you don't know c++
Simple advice to people out there who meet such people is to just ask them to make a Java program with the goto command
Little know it all freaks.11 -
They dont know a thing. They think i work at a call center or i just play games instead of work. And whenever they see the terminal its just "did you break your computer? Why there is too much text?"4

So our HR and Network Admin are building an "intranet" off site and I just discovered they asked for a feature that is gonna make slack irrelevant... They both know shit about slack and we who do know something where just perplexed to the amount of money thrown away here with shit like that...

Security theater is not security.
I am still on my mother's cell plan. I pay for it, but she is the primary account holder. We are grandfathered into unlimited no restrictions data, and a new phone yearly, so yeah, not giving that up.
Anyway, when i go to the store to manage the account they say, 'sorry, Sarah needs to come in as the primary account holder.'
'I am sarah' I tell them. I am lying, they know I am lying, and they know I know.
But they have no choice but to go along. I even asked once; they are not allowed to ask for proof of id. I don't know why.
It's just security theater.1 -
Say what you will about Windows 10, they know what they're doing; error messages never sounded this harmless before.

You know the saying "if you're brave enough", right? In Alestorm they know it too!

Got called by a recruiter, the team wanted to know if I am culture fit. They schedule a remote skype interview for 3 hours and check if I am culture fit. Next is onsite interview, they asked me if I want to fly to that location which is 2 hour technical. And one of the guy in previous round mentioned they dont give offer unless they do onsite. But I have to pay out of my own pocket expense. I am approx 4 years experience and the position is Senior SW. I dont know are they really interested?1

Do u know why test engineers earn more than developers. I think that they are pretended as a coder but not true3

One person I work with thinks they know what they're doing but they have no idea, and we all know it and make fun of him behind his back.
-
Do dev or engineer needs to know how the program works?. I mean that should they know about time and space complexity?
Till now my answer is yes, they should know. But i have met more than triple Dev's with absolutely no knowledge of complexity and they all are behind code quality.6 -
How do I change my user name so I can be sure my coworkers don't see me complaining about them. Fuckem they should know they suckit.

See here is how I know these are not randomly generated some of these sound like things they would say4

Why do people (mostly clients) love to pay using paypal? Don't they know it's not a bank and there's really no fraud protection.
I know I'm enabling it by offering PayPal as a payment option...3 -
When your boss has you learn a new language but then doesn't listen to any of your input concern this language and acts like they know the language as well....which they don't

You know I remember a time when they didn't make everything .ore difficult than it needed to be because well whoever they used to be they weren't fucking retards and the country didn't organize things in terms of how stupid people were1
-
Does it ever irk you when a tech complains "I didn't know i needed to know this?" As though they didn't realize that IT kinda requires taking on new subjects all the time?1
